Retreats…music to my ears
Thank for the episode on writers retreats. So many options — virtual, solo, group, parents house, etc. and so many good tips for the retreat itself. One of my 2023 goals is a personal writing retreat—an essential tool I deemed too luxurious in the past. No more. Thanks to Kathy for her info and her free download.

I just listened to the Kindle Short Book podcast- Twice
I took Linda’s podcasting class at the BRMCWC and know how important excellence is to her. Her hard work shows! I’ve learned from all of her podcasts, but this one hit home as I feel led (as of last night) that this is my next step. What a blessing! Thank you, Linda! Elizabeth Ellington

Prepare to Take Notes
I’m a fan of both Linda Goldfarb and Cynthia Ruchti’s so when the dynamic duo teamed up again for today’s episode on composing/communicating, I was prepared with pen in hand and a sheet of paper. Cynthia’s insights filled the entire forty minutes as well as two sheets of handwritten notes. (Yes, it is that good.) I especially appreciated Cynthia’s example of how communication styles sometimes differ between spouses but that what matters most is how he/she receives what we say rather than what we want to say. And the same is true with writers/speakers and their audiences. I’ll chew on that, as well as the entire episode, for days to come.

Diann Mills Eliminating Passive voice
I am a huge fan of Diann Mills, so this podcast was such a treat. As a writer, it is so easy to slip into passive voice. This podcast gave clear and constructive ways to make our writing stronger and more direct. Thank you both Linda and Diann for your time and talents!!!

Episode 2 lisa Carter
Oh my! Such great information! I’ve listened to this episode over and over again. I usually write poetry and small devotional article for our local paper, but have had 4 fiction stories in my imagination and this episode got me so excited thinking maybe I could write fiction one day. Also had to buy underneath a Navajo moon after reading the look inside option on Amazon! I think my blind 99 year old grandmother would love this so I’m checking to see if there is a cd version since she has a CD player. Thank you again for this podcast!

Like Enjoying a Cup of Coffee with Writer Friends
I love this podcast. I’ve attended BRMCWC twice so far and to me, this podcast feels like an extension of the valuable teachings the conference and its faculty have blessed me with. Each episode I’ve listened to features writers or experts in the industry who are so genuine in their love of the craft, their desire to build up and pour into others, and their faith. Linda Goldfarb is a charming and engaging host who asks great questions and makes each info-packed episode worth listening to every last minute. I usually listen while walking my dog, but my favorite way to enjoy the podcast is to sit with a cup of coffee and soak in the wisdom. Thank you for this lovely resource.
