Best Narrative Fiction Podcast
This podcast is far and away the best fiction podcast I’ve listened to. The characters are well developed, wonderful storyline and thought provoking plots. I also love how the podcast never takes itself too seriously and has plenty of comic relief. This is a true gem and I can’t recommend it enough to others!

Great!
I’m only a few episodes in I love this so much! It’s so fun and it’s addicting! People are leaving reviews saying this is bad because he burps ONCE and they call it Star Trek. It’s literally not stop. Also, yes to that one review people are still stupid enough to smoke in the future. It’ll also be around. Anyways, this is a good podcast forget about those bad reviews and try it yourself!

Amazing !
These reviews about smoking and a burp ? Calling this a Star Trek? LOL! Those reviews are bogus and didn’t give this podcast a chance. This was one of the best podcasts I’ve ever listen to, the character development was amazing. I’d give it 6 stars if I could!

This one grew on me
Like others have stated, I wasn't super stoked in the beginning. But then some time around the plant monster, I started really loving it. When I first started, someone wrote a review that said "it starts off silly and gets dark." And that is so true. The storyline took such a different turn and I actually felt sad knowing I was at the finale. The introduction of new characters was amazing and I really loved (most of) them. I became so emotionally involved with this podcast. So I came here to say, don't give up on it. It might take a few episodes, or even seasons, but this podcast becomes amazing. Bravo everyone.

Smoking in Star Trek? What garbage.
Lost me at contraband cigarettes. I can’t stand this new Star Trek. In a future without poverty or hungry and medical advancements you expect me to believe that people are still stupid enough to smoke?

Stick with it!
It didn’t happen right away- in fact- I would try starting it, become annoyed, and then switch it off …many times!!.. BUT once during a long drive I made it through the first five episodes and before I knew it- I was waaaaay hooked! I binged the entire thing and -to my surprise- by the end of the podcast I found that I had become attached to the very character who annoyed me so much at the start. This podcast snuck up on me and stole my attention. Thank you so much for the hours of easy fun for my brain. Ps. I still don’t love the guy with the accent. Why does it sound so very very fake to me? Am I the one who’s wrong here? There is no way that that is what a Russian accent sounds like right?!

After years of listening to podcasts and audio books this one is at the top of my list. The voice acting is phenomenal, the characters are lovable, the story is at times funny and always compelling, but there are moments that are so beautiful they are like a punch to the heart. This was the podcast that I never wanted to end, but like all the best things in life, it eventually must. I feel enriched for having experienced it, and for that I am grateful.

So Amazing!
Wolf 359 is one of my favorite pieces of media of all time. The storytelling and characters are engaging and masterfully done. The show is funny, but doesn’t shy away from being serious when needed. I have listened to this show repeatedly and I am sure it will continue to be a favorite of mine for a long time. I highly recommend giving it a try!

Possible Shout out?
Hey I’d like to say, by far one of the most exiting, intelligent and not to mention downright hilarious at times live pod/radio shows I’ve heard to date, really enjoyed listening to Wolf 359. That said, I was wondering, as I start up watching star trek deep space 9 I had forgotten the base that the surgically modified Jean Luke Picard attacked just pior to the first episode, was called Wolf 359. Any coincidence there guys? Just asking…. Anyhow loved the show would recommend it to anyone who enjoys sci-fi literature or story content that will surprise you! Thanks so much for putting it out there guys!

The best audio drama I’ve ever listened to, and one of the best stories I’ve ever interacted with. It takes a few episodes to really zero in on what makes it so special, but once you get to episode 10 it’s got you. Creators are so conscientious, actors are incredible as performers and people, and the representation of mental health through H.E.R.A.‘s arc is the best I’ve ever seen.

One of the Best Podcasts of All Time
Wolf 359 was one of the first podcasts I listened to. I started listening I think around the time episode uh, 30 maybe? came out. And I have listened to a LOT of podcasts since then. And I do mean, a lot. I have my headphones in around 12-16 hours every day. Point is - I’ve searched far and wide, and even amongst many other incredible podcasts, very few come close to the incredible quality, storyline, and character building of Wolf 359. I don’t like picking favorites so I usually have say, a top 3 or top 5. and Wolf will ALWAYS be there for me. A word to new listeners: the first few episodes are a little rough around the edges, a little slow maybe, while the show gets its footing. Don’t drift off on it though!! Stick with it and you’ll be amazed by where it goes.

This one caught me off gaurd
This podcast caught me completely off gaurd. I started listening to it a few months ago and honestly got a little bored with it. It felt like a Disney show where like nothing rlly happened, you could jump in at any point and figure out what the gist was. I didn’t love this because I had just got caught up on a different podcast that had A VERY elaborate storyline and deep connections, and at the time, didn’t realize it had started the same way. It built up the characters first and then delved into the story line later and that’s what makes it so good. I didn’t realize just how invested I had become and now being so close to the end, I’m scared for it to be over :(. I highly recommend this podcast for anyone, literally anyone. No caveats. To put it straight: Listen to wolf 359

Phenomenal!
I’m absolutely in love with this podcast! The acting and sound effects are really well-done. It’s a great balance of plot, action, and humor, and a really thick overarching mystery. It is simultaneously the best thing I’ve ever heard and the cause of most of my emotional distress. Some might say it’s wrong for a person be in love with a fictional AI, but I would die for Hera in a heartbeat. Just listen to this. You’ll love it.

Continues To Be The Favorite After 5+ Years
I don’t have the words to explain my passionate love for this podcast. I started listening to it when there was only a season and a half, and I consistently re-listen to it now almost 6 years later. I’ve listened to the entire thing minimum once a year in that time, and it’s become my comfort show when times are hard. The story is engaging, the sound engineering is up there with the best of them, and the world they’ve created makes me text my friends screaming about how I want to know more about the rest of the histories of the characters, and the reach of Goddard Futuristics. I could not talk about fiction podcasts without bringing up this show, and recommending it to everyone. It’s a story set in space, but not about space. It’s about the people, and how we react in mind numbing boredom, and excruciating emergencies. Truly, the only complete 5/5 I’ve ever experienced.

Update: show sells out
Uh... thanks for the update telling me you once thought it was important to keep the series ad free, Patreon supporters covered the cost of ads and then some, but now you’re selling out and putting ads in cuz you wanna make more money off a series that finished 4 years ago. My favorite podcast
This podcast is amazing! At first I was unsure, due to the odd episode descriptions and unclear show summary. However, if you dive right in, you’ll not be disappointed. The voice actors are incredible (the main actor playing two totally different characters) and the first few episodes are hilarious. The plot definitely thickens toward the end of season 1, with lots of little nuggets laid out during earlier episodes (if you pay attention). The characters are relatable and they do such an excellent job of building character depth and friendships. Perhaps the best part is that the show is clean, without much language or inappropriate humor, and is hardly scary (although eery at times). I’m very picky with podcasts, so it’s a huge deal to say this is my favorite! FYI, the website for the show is well organized and has so many cool things!

Pretty great. Not TMA
I listened to this recently as I’ve been trying to find something since the end of The Magnus Archives. I can definitively say that this is a veeeerrry different show. Wolf359 is way less spooky and feels much more character driven than world driven, unlike TMA. Despite these differences it was still a great listen for me, but I know this might not be the podcast for a lot out there. Also: I’m on like ep55 or something and it’s way better plot-wise than the earlier episodes. Just so ya know

Ehhh
It seems overdone with cheeky analogies and metaphors. Kinda like a creative writing student who doesn’t know how to edit it down. There are clever moments, don’t get me wrong, but I found it distracting and it didn’t feel remotely close to being in our space. Felt more like being in a local theater watching a two person production of being in out space.

Tried so hard...
I wanted to love this podcast. It seems like it is a universal favorite, but I just couldn’t get past the actor who played Hilbert’s fake accent. It was so off putting that I couldn’t continue past the first 10 episodes. And clearly I tried hard, if I made it to 10. I just kept hoping it would get better or I would get used to it, but it kept getting more and more irritating. I never understand the need for fake accents. It always takes me right out of the story. Usually I can deal with it, but this was unbearable.

I LOVE this podcast. It is entertaining, witty, and captivating. During one arachnid themed episode, I couldn’t turn it off. I have an acute fear of spiders, and yet I was willing to listen to the episode nonetheless. That should tell you just how good this show is. On most podcasts, the first few episodes are pretty bad, with not the most convincing characters, bad audio quality, character breaks, etc. But with Wolf 359, there’s none of that. It’s just straight into professional been-doing-this-for-years quality. I couldn’t recommend this podcast any more highly. Do yourself a favor, and give it a listen.

Sci Fi Audio Drama at its Best
Stick with this show! What starts out as episodic romps but becomes a sweeping space opera. This show explores the mysteries of outer space and our inner selves with equal depth and care. The characters on this show are written and portrayed with such conviction and caring. And the music! Alan Rodi masterfully orchestrates this show, elevating the story even further. If you are a fan of the sci fi genre, or just a fan of good stories, this show has something for you.

Truly Superb
From the beginning to end this Sci Fi epic is just that, Epic! All the characters are extremely well voiced. The sound quality is perfect. The conversations are seamless and the whole thing is edited beautifully. I’ve relistened to this podcast at least 3 times as of this review and I can find nothing at fault with it. The story is worth it and by the end I feel equal parts happy and sad for all the characters. There are some real action packed moments that occur alongside incredibly written comedic spots and I just love it all. Without spoiling too much I’ll hint at some of my favorite moments. 1. No one expects a Harpoon 2. The value of toothpaste 3. A very complex board game 3. The hunt And there’s so much more. I cannot recommend this podcast enough.

Just the best
What a show! The acting is fantastic; at first i thought it was too over the top, but then I realized it was just necessary to make a story this richly textured work in an audio-only format. It’s full of heart, laughs, lessons, and love. The characters are engrossing and you either love them or love to hate them. Some episodes will really make you think. Some will make you feel. Most will make you laugh. All will make you glad you listened. The production values are Hollywood grade - Orson Welles can only dream of this realism (and frankly so can Michael Bay) and the music is beautifully composed and used to extremely powerful effect throughout the whole series. I sadly found this show too late to support them financially as they created it, so I went back and bought all the music on Bandcamp and the Pryce and Carter’s manual, and I hope the team gets something out of those tokens. Also check out Unseen, which is this production/acting teams latest effort. It’s very different in style and theme but equal in quality and heart, and I’m looking forward to where Season 2 of that goes!

wow
i’ve already recommended wolf 359 to my family and friends, some of whom are not regular podcast listeners, and they all enjoyed it as much as i did! wolf359 is brilliant, thought provoking, and engaging while being humorous enough to make you hungry for more. the characters are well written and complex, and it almost feels like you yourself are a dear listener connecting with the lives of the members of the u.s.s. Hephaestus. the sound design is immersive and contributes wonderfully to the plot. with over 30 hours of content, the w359 team has provided just enough story to make you leave the story different than you started it, yet doesn’t drag the story out longer than needed. the actors are beyond talented, and zach valenti in particular does an amazing job connecting with the listener, even from outside of his role. i cannot recommend this podcast more and i look foreword to a relisten. in fact, i was so hungry for more content that i listened to more work by the team behind w359 (my favorite being time:bombs!) and i cannot recommend them enough! they are currently releasing episodes for their new podcast unseen, so i would def recommend checking out all of their work!

Amazing!!! One of the best pods ever.
Wolf 359 is SO good. Some podcasts have voice acting that is passable but not the best- Wolf 359 is NOT one of those podcasts. The combination of incredibly performers and amazing writing makes it easy to pick up this podcast whenever you have the free time, and get absorbed right back into the narrative, like you never stopped listening. I knew I was really in for an obsession with this podcast when the funny, seemingly innocent mischief aboard the U.S.S. Hephaestus managed to pull of an episode that had me physically tensing up in suspense, and sure enough, the atmosphere has NOT disappointed. I can't say enough good things about this podcast!! I listen to this in my car when running errands for my job, with the bass turned up. When the creepy dark music starts to play, my whole car shakes and I get the shivers. This was the second podcast I ever listened to and I gotta say, finding others as good as this is a hard task. All of the characters are amazing, the acting is great as well. When I first started listening I wasn’t sure I was going to like this but I kept going and it ended up being in my top favorites. The plot build up is brilliant. The writing is hilarious, makes me feel giddy whenever I think about ducks or space now. This made me laugh, cry, yearn… I feel an ache in my chest whenever I think about Doug Eiffel. To Long Story Short Productions,: *tips my hat* keep up the great work guys.

A great show
I listened to this podcast over a year ago and it’s one of the few that I constantly want to re-listen to because it was such a well done story. It made me laugh and cry and yell out loud as the story built more and more. I suggest it to anyone who asks for a podcast rec!

A great binge!
I found the first few episodes and the main character a little too corny at first, but I’m so glad I stuck it out! Eiffel really grew on me, just like he grows on the other characters in the story. The acting and writing is superb, and I especially enjoyed the characters of Lovelace, Kepler and Hera. I also identify with Minkowski so much 😂.

A Quick Favorite
I might have found this podcast two years too late, but that doesn’t change how absolutely amazing it is. The length of the episodes are perfect, with enough time to tell the story but still make you feel okay for blowing through an entire season in one day. The characters are beautiful and full of unique personalities. This has quickly become one of my favorites, and I’ve desperately been recommending it to anyone that will listen to me. A great podcast for any sci-fi or pop culture fan, and honestly a great listen for anyone with ears.

Amazing Space Podcast! Make more!
The show started sort of slow and didn’t exactly grip me in the first few episodes. I had started a bunch of similar shows around the same time so this one went to the back burner. But one day when I had nothing new to listen to and had a lot of really tedious work to do I gave it another shot. Then it hooked me good. Binged the whole thing in a few shifts at work and had a hard time putting it down at the end of the night. I wish there was as many episodes of this show as the Joe Rogan Experience where I could never hope to finish it no matter how many episodes I binge a day. Truly an amazing show the whole way through.

UPDATE: SO HYPED FOR UNSEEN!!!! Man. That hit deep. On my third listen through. Absolutely stunning quality. Better story then star wars. I would take listening to this over a marvel movie. So good. An excellent comeback for the serial radio show genre. Characters are expertly crafted. I was crying at the end. I need more. But it stopped at the right place.

Great Podcast
I loved the show, it was incredibly entertaining, and I loved Eiffel. Zach Valenti is an amazing voice actor, as are all the cast, I hope to see them in more in the future. The background music/effects were extremely well done, and the story was well written. I only wish that there were more seasons, or that we got a glimpse into what happened with the crew after.

Not exaggerating. THE BEST. Great voice acting, awesome sound effects, incredible writing... this podcast covers a wide variety of moods, characters, and situations, and does them all with humor and style. I'm really impressed at the way the funny and the serious - and the disturbing - are blended together with just the right balance to keep a listener hooked all the way to the end. Everybody should listen to Wolf 359. Heads up: the first few episodes start out with mostly funny stuff, but pretty soon, serious and dire situations show up to ratchet up the tension.

Great sci-fi suspense
I first heard about this show a couple years ago when it was still coming out, but somehow didn’t actually end up listening until recently, and I actually feel guilty for the fact that I didn’t get in on the ground floor in time to support them on Patreon. Wolf359 has become one of my favorite podcasts to relisten to at least once a year. The cast, the characters, the story, the sound design are so engrossing it is a play for your ears. I laughed, I cried multiple times, and the end was bittersweet. I wish I could forget and relisten to it all again, it was one heck of a journey. Kudos to the team for making me cry every time I listen to “Memoria.” That episode made Hera my favorite character. <3

At first I thought it was silly but the humor really softens the edge for later when some pretty heavy themes are played out. But really it’s been months since I finished this and I miss it. I want to start it over because no other podcast has the length and journey that this one does. Plus the end is so satisfying that I would love to go back and relive the whole saga again. I want more like this and nothing else seems to have the characters, the interesting sci-fi, and the full arc. Highly recommend.

Silly to sensational
I had doubts about this series at first, with some episodes feeling disjointed and corny. Then came the sting! A fun adventure
I really enjoyed listening to the story of the Wolf 359 crew. It was a nice adventure podcast with just a decent sprinkle of humor throughout. I would rate the series higher but sometimes I would feel like the cast and script thought it was more clever than it was in the overall. It’s an interesting plot but one that holds true to a lot of basic tropes throughout storytelling. Also some characters I feel like I am expected to care more about when they are being willfully obstinate in certain high stress situations. Overall a good podcast and one I’m glad I got to listen too.

Got sucked in to this
I have to admit I kept seeing this recommended in other podcasts I like on Apple. I am was not looking for anything too comedic. The first few episodes left me unsure if this was a drama at all. I stopped but eventually came back after a few months to give it another try. Once I got a few more episodes in it really moved along with humor yes but a solid story. In the same way EOS 10 is amusing but has a solid story running through it. Really enjoying this. Fantastic sound quality.

Best audio drama
I’ve listened to a lot of podcasts at this point and this is series is the bar I compare everything else to. It’s been my favorite—excellent character-driven story with a side of humor and sci-fi drama, along with incredible voice acting. The story arc is beautifully plotted out driving home to an astonishing finale that might be a favorite out of all series in general for me, tv included. I won’t give it away but this story is brilliantly executed in how each episode builds the world, characters and momentum of the story all to a satisfying and surprising conclusion. I wouldn’t change a single thing except I wish there was more because I sooooo love Wolf 359! I miss you already after I listened to the whole series for the second time in a row. It can be good or bad, and sometimes both.
Just finished this up and it wasn’t bad. The voice acting was above par for a podcast. Some of the comedy is just awful, some is pretty funny. The script has a lot of places where no one in the history of the world would do what the characters did. Solutions to overbearing problems pop up out of nowhere every two episodes. Not believable, but action packed and sometimes funny. If I saw someone give this a 1 star rating, I would say they might be right. If I saw someone give this a 4 star review, I could say the same.

Not my cup of tea
I could see how this would be great listening for some, if you’re into quirky, character-driven shenanigans over narrative pacing. But I was hoping for something a bit more serious. Not that I’m against levity, but I prefer it as punctuation rather than the main event. Maybe this is just a super slow burn with payoffs down the line but, story wise, there was nothing to hook me in the first two episodes and I don’t have the patience to wait and see.

Even better on the relisten.
I first started listening to Wolf 359 while I was working an accounting job in a room with no windows behind two locked doors. I felt such a sense of isolated solidarity with the crew of the Haphaestus back then. Now, getting to binge while I relisten, I can pay close attention to the details of a whole story arc, and it is even more captivating. The sound engineering and stereo experience is such a gift to have played through my car speakers as I deliver goods through my city. I love these characters, good and bad. The writing still makes me giggle with glee. ☺️ Please listen if you have not already!

This podcast ruined my life for a week
I became a slave to Wolf359 for about 6/7 days, as I could not go a day without trying to squeeze in as many episodes as I possibly could. Any activities that got in the way of my intense binge were pushed to the side if possible. The first chunk of episodes frustrate a bit, as they don’t seem to tie together. Wolf 359 is an amazing, well written science fiction story. But is a little dark, but also very funny. Does have a use of fire-arms so if you have kids make sure you listen to it first. But very good and addictive story. Love it 😍. The first couple episodes aren’t as good though, but are funny. But after those it gets really good👍👍👍👍 don’t listen to the the people who says it falls apart and stuff. It gets better every episode. Masterpiece
This review is written around episode 52. Been listening to podcasts since 2008. This might be my favorite of all-time. If you enjoy subversive, character-driven genre fiction, with heart and a deep humanity this series is for you. The series begins as a light-hearted sitcom but finds it’s feet and grows into a story about broken people trying to build redemption for themselves. When it hits it’s stride the small setting finds a way to make every episode a kind of bottle episode where character quirks and conflicts take center stage. The result is something completely unique that makes the most of the podcast medium.

I was hooked on this show immediately. It was funny and ridiculous. And then it kept getting better. It wasn’t just funny and ridiculous - it was intriguing, heartwarming, suspenseful. Devastated that I just discovered this now
Not to be basic, but despite being an avid podcast listener this is legitimately the first podcast I have ever reviewed. I generally listen to nonfiction shows, however, this podcast has shown me the beauty of fictional ones as well. I was skeptical at first because, as many reviews mention, the first season is a bit slow to get going, but I can’t stress enough how grateful I am that I stuck with it. Character development is outstanding; they are relatable and deal with situations and philosophical dilemmas in ways that showcase their shared humanity. Wolf 359 made me laugh, and cry, and teeter on the edge of my seat for nearly the entire 3 days it took me to binge the whole series. The various plot elements and natural/funny/intriguing characters combine to create a podcast that is engaging, thought provoking and satisfying for any listener - even those not especially fond of the sci-fi genre. I’m rambling at this point, so to avoid extolling Wolf 359 ad nauseam, I will conclude by saying this podcast was so remarkably well written, developed, and produced that it has galvanized a paradigm shift for an inveterate nonfiction podcast enthusiast. Wolf 359 explores existential questions and themes or morality and identity amongst the backdrop of near-future, deep-space exploration, and does so in ways that warm the heart, challenge our assumptions, and leave you laughing and crying all the while wanting more. I am DEVASTATED there aren’t more seasons or even spin-offs to explore, but I can’t recommend Wolf 359 highly enough - I’d give it 11/5 stars if I could. Bravo.

Stick with it, it gets better.
When I first heard about this show from a friend, I was not impressed. But hey, I loved sci fi, so I decided to give it a chance. And I loved it. I’ll admit, the first episodes aren’t perfect, but if you just hold on it’ll strap you into an emotional roller coaster ride full of love, laughs, and lies told through an awesome hard sf story. 10/10, would obsessively binge again.

Wow...
When I first started listening to this, I thought it was kind of boring, but I stuck with it because I found it interesting. Well... oh my did it pick up fast. This is actually an amazing audio drama with great character development and a exceptional plot for non-television series. This show was well made, and I am sad that I have finished listening to it. I definitely recommend listening to this.

Great characters and full of twists
I listed to this podcast on my long runs. I wasn’t completely sold initially; it was funny but didn’t seem to have much direction. But the plot really starts to pick up (toward the latter half of Season 1, if I recall correctly). The characters are really complex and well thought-out. It’s rarely as simple as good versus evil; a lot of the characters fall into both camps, which leaves you rooting against them in some moments but for them in others. I was really impressed by that. The plot is really well-done and features a lot of twists. Just when I thought I had everything figured out, I didn’t. And that’s what made it great.

Importance of vocal quality
This podcast is a great example of how a fairly solid story can be ruined by poor vocal performances. There are characters who’s accents change with each episode, others who prefer to not use their actual voices, just creak through their throats (vocal fry) and a few who barely speak above a whisper with mouths pressed directly into the mic. One in particular who speaks so low with such a fake emphasis on enunciation I can hear the saliva in her mouth move around louder than her actual voice. I made it as far as I could before bailing.

Wish I’d found this sooner!
I listened to the first episode, decided it wasn’t for me. Came back to it later cause of a friend, realized how AWESOME this show is, the first couple of episodes don’t do it justice. I love most of the characters (never been a fan of Lovelace) but my favorite character has to be Jacobi (who disappointingly doesn’t show up until season three, but I’m not about to complain). Anyway, this show makes me laugh, it makes me very very sad, and I wish there was more so I could have something to look forward to all week Don’t let the first episodes discourage you, keep going and you’ll be rewarded :)

This was a thoroughly entertaining audio drama from beginning to end. It’s sci-fi but not overly so. The characters are well developed, and you can really be for the crew. Excellent storytelling. I’ll likely listen to this series over and over.

My all time favorite podcast! Beautiful story and character development. The first couple episodes are rough, but the acting, writing, and story quality all improves nearing the end of the first season. Trust me! You really don’t want to miss this work of art sci-fi emotional rollercoaster.

Love this show!
I listened through the whole thing in less than a month and immediately dove right back into the first episode. (With all its plot twists, tragic backstories, and subtle and not-so-subtle foreshadowing, it really merits a relisten!) The main characters are the best part of this crazy space adventure—they’re quirky and complex and easy to love, and they’re up against some seriously devious and wildly complicated villains. Wolf 359 effortlessly blends comedy with serious themes and heavy emotional moments, and it balances plot, pacing and character development beautifully. The show makes brilliant use of the audio format, with episodes like Mayday and Memoria pushing the limits of radio drama, and the music is beautiful and powerful. Can’t recommend this show enough.

Funny and creepy
So, I just finished up binge-listening to the whole show, and I enjoyed it immensely! I laughed, I cried, I was terrified - fantastic. Wolf 359 centers around the crew of the USS Haphaestus, a space station orbiting a peculiar red dwarf star. The show takes place in an alternate version of the present where almost everything is the same, but technology (particularly with regard to space travel and artificial intelligence) is much more advanced. Everything else is the same, though, including pop culture. The show is very funny and has a lot of humor; it also has a building sense of unease which I can’t describe without spoilers. It didn’t quite hook me until a few episodes in, when the creepier stuff started.

This show seems beloved by many, but after eight long, grueling episodes I am done. The writing and voice acting are endlessly cheesy. There hasn’t been a single genuine moment. It’s all so contrived. Bye and good riddance.

listened to 25 or so episodes. enjoyed one and a half of them. hated almost every character but none more so than eiffel. the main character. so he had the most screentime. i hated him so much. none of his jokes landed, he was just a worthless human being who made the lives of any actually reasonable people around him miserable (there was only one reasonable person). one character was just eiffel’s va with a terrible fake accent. it felt like they were building the new girl character up to be like eiffel’s perfect woman and it was nauseating. the only podcast worse than this one is ostium. absolutely baffling to me that this show is so popular.

Excited
On ep 14 and after reading other reviews I am, in fact, excited. So far I’ve likened the show to a silly cartoon. Like literally no stakes stupid fun comedy with a bit of odd suspense and a tinge of horror/thriller. But people are saying it turns into something deeper and connected? Flock yeah! I’m ready, boi! And some people hate Doug? Those people are silly. Doug is useless and ridiculous and dumb and a million other negative words, but from ep 1 he was great and I immediately thought wow this kids gonna go far. But whether he goes far to complete his mission or uncover some conspiracy or goes far out an airlock is unknown to me. Can’t wait to find out. Cheers so far guys! Edit: ep 30 something and yeah, wow, it really goes places man! And I suppose this may say something about me but, Hilbert is like, the man. I’m always rooting for him. He knows what’s up. Also he laughs like Jabba. Hoh hoh hooohhh!

If you're one to have Feelings about fictional characters, prepare to have your heart broken. This is such a good podcast. Great characters, great voices, great sound effects. The cast starts small and grows, and you fall hard for the central crew, and then the bad guys worm their way into your heart, and then the Bad Guys make your skin crawl. Excellent storytelling, and the only flaw is that there isn't enough.

Not Quite What It Seems At First
Great, completed, Sci-Fi Audio Drama podcast that starts as comedy and shifts around the 11th episode into a much broader, deeper place. Sometimes it was a bit hard to follow the main plot through special episodes, mini episodes, and flashbacks, but the quality of the episodes makes up for that. Some of the episodes are absolutely exquisite. Good production, sound quality, and acting throughout.

Intense, engrossing, and captivating
Wolf 359 is a show that pulls you in with its first episodes, which are humorous and light, only to keep you engrossed for its duration as it ups the stakes, the character development, and the production. Take a listen at your first chance, just be warned: you might not be able to stop until you’ve finished.

Make space in your schedule to binge this space drama!
Wolf 359 is one of the best audio dramas I’ve heard. The voice actors execute a dynamic, multifaceted roles in a well-crafted, addicting story, accompanied with a hauntingly beautiful soundtracks and immersive foley. This is 4+ years of production put to good use! . I can’t wait to hear more stories from the creators/producers/actors, including to their planned expansions on Wolf 359 (Price and Carter’s...). My only critique, which wouldn’t even take away a fraction of a star from their series, would concern the one live episode. It wasn’t a bad episode - it even made me giggle a few times. It was just a weird comedic tone shift from the semi-serious, mysterious feel of the usual episode (but the audience seemed to enjoy it). Nonetheless, I highly recommend Wolf 359 to anyone who loves well crafted audio drama podcasts; I encourage those entertained and inspired by the show to reciprocate their appreciation by donating to their Patreon. Congratulations on making an audio drama worthy of the podcast hall of fame!

From high production, clean audio, engaging writing/plot/characters, great voice acting and a near perfect mix of plot-driven and one-off episodes this podcast is amazing. If you're looking for something constantly funny and adventurous I'd give Wolf359 a listen. This drama also delivers heart touching and heart thumping moments. Impeccably plotted, funny, creepy, smart: this is a show worth getting obsessed over. It’s an ambitious example of what audio drama can do, and the overall experience is immersive and intense. DON'T stop with the first few epidodes!!
I first tried listening to Wolf 359 about a year ago, but I didn't make it past episode three. I dismissed it as a schlocky sci-fi comedy with paper-thin stock characters. Do not make this mistake. Once you get past episode 7 or so, the show really finds its voice, and, though there's an underlying current of comedy throughout the series, it transforms into a tight, gripping sci-fi thrille. The characters reveal complexity and depth. I really don't want to spoil anything, but this is a GREAT podcast. One of the best fiction podcasts I've listened.to, and I listen to a lot of podcasts. Stick with it. This is one of the best.

Love Everything but...
First, I loved this show. The sound effects were absolutely hilarious, especially the sounds of the long distance communications. Scotty Shoemaker, the voice of Cutter, was especially fantastic and I want him to narrate my life. I loved every single character except... Doug, our narrator. Sigh. He's the reason the rating isn't 5 stars. I couldn't stand to listen to any of the non-plot related episodes that are about shenanigans on the station because he got on my nerves so badly. He reminds me of the slacker you always seem to get in group projects. And this was in fact, addressed towards the end of the show. I kept wanting to throw him out an airlock. But Hilbert? Hera? Minkowski? Lovelace? Cutter? Price? Young? Kepler? Jacobi? Maxwell? I adored all of them. Cutter and Price scared me, and Cutter and Young's relationship cracked me up. Minowski is wonderful and a far more complex character than I expected. Which I can actually say about EVERY CHARACTER EXCEPT DOUG. My advice? Listen to the show in pieces, and skip the shenanigans episodes. The plot is fun and twisty, and most of the characters have wonderful surprises hidden for you.

Intricately Crafted Sci-Fi
Have you ever loved a world so much that you just want to live in it? That, for me, is Wolf 359. Our hapless hero, Doug Eiffel, serves as communications officer on the USS Hephaestus station. He’s surrounded by an unforgettable cast of characters: no-nonsense, indomitable Lieutenant Commander Renee Minkowski; the ship’s clever, sassy AI, Hera; and the kinda crazy (and very Russian) genius, Dr. Alexander Hilbert. I listened to all 4 seasons twice in a month and a half because I was unwilling to “leave” when it ended. I can not recommend it highly enough.

You won’t regret it!
What starts off as a light-hearted record of the USS Hephaestus’s mishaps as it orbits around Wolf 359, as told through the eyes of communications officer Doug Eiffel, quickly becomes a fast-moving story of deceit, betrayal, teamwork, and of course, space. Wolf 359 had me hooked instantly, then kept reeling me in. If you like sci-fi that isn’t completely outlandish and still in the realm of the plausible while maintaining a bit of a fantastical approach, Wolf 359 is for you. The foresight in this show is phenomenal. All of the characters have aspects to them that you can’t help but like. The voice actors are phenomenal. Listen to this podcast!!! My only regret is that I didn’t listen while it was still being produced.

I loved this podcast! I blew through the first few years of content pretty quickly then eagerly awaited each new episode. I really enjoyed the early episodes and found it quite clever that a communications officer created a “morning radio show” type of broadcast to ease the crushing boredom of being in space. insufferable main character
I've listened to most of Wolf 359 at this point. Enough that I'm comfortable reviewing it. I'm a fan of good narrative podcasts, and I've heard a lot of praise for W359. The podcast is mostly good. The recording quality is there, the music and sound effects are effective, the voice acting is above average if not good (especially HERA and Minkowski), and the plot does eventually move in some fascinating directions. However, the main character is awful. Eiffel is a one-dimensional gatekeeping Deadpool-wannabe Mary Sue who thankfully was canonically in space during Gamergate else he would be marching around with a Kekistan flag right now. The show would be 5-stars if they put a bullet in this guy's head in episode 1. If this show thrives at any point, it is in spite of this terrible character. All of his dialoge is bad. He has absolutely no redeeming qualities. I do think there's something that can be said for making a show with a "communications officer" who's pathologically incapable of meaningful communication and also making that guy the absolute last person anyone would want to be stuck with in space, but this show, 50something episodes in, has still not sufficiently explored that as a theme. There is absolutely no reason for Eiffel to have a spot aboard this spaceship, and the semi-retconned rationale that comes with time is, in my opinion, an insufficient explanation for why he wasn't airlocked basically immediately.

Unbelievably Good
This podcast is, without a doubt, the best audio drama I have had the pleasure of engaging with. The characters are fascinating and have development arcs that feel entirely natural, the show is at points gripping and hilarious and tear-jerking and relaxing, and everyone who engages with it cares _so much_ about it. If you liked Andy Weir's The Martian, you'll love Doug Eiffel, our initial narrator. It's just so good and I want more people to listen to it. Please.

Great plot
Wolf 359 has a great plot line with great twists to keep you on edge and thinking “what’s next?” The only thing I had an issue with was the amount of “pausing for effect.” At times it was enormously excessive and it stopped the momentum of the line. It took my focus away from following the story. But overall it is great.

Annoying
This might be a good story line but I couldn’t get passed the annoying slurping sounds in episode one. I wish the writers would leave the disgusting sounds like slurping and burping out of podcasts. Cuss all you want but the annoying sounds...please leave them out.

Good stuff!
I'm surprised Wolf 359 doesn't have more subscribers or reviews! If you're a fan of Tanis or Ars Paradoxia or the Bright Sessionsthis should be right up your alley. Pretty solid voice acting too, without being weirdly over-produced/over-acted like some of the other "modern audio drama" podcasts out there. Listen to Dougggg!

Wonderfully engaging and unique
Wolf 359 builds a gorgeous storyline that quickly draws the listener into a heart-felt, eerie world full of mystery. With a cast of dynamic characters, the show asks real questions about survival, loyalty, and simply what it means to be. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a beautifully written and acted sci-fi drama.

Never more sad to be late to the party
What a great show! I have never been more thankful that I cancelled my satellite radio. I began to seek out podcasts for entertainment and as a result I found Wolf 359. I’ve gone through the whole series over the last month, making myself not binge the entire series in a week. I wanted to savor this fantastic sci-fi story. Thanks so much to the cast and crew for providing such a great escape.

So so so good
I want to adopt and love every single character in this show, even the unlovable and unadoptable ones. The show is SO well produced and written and it deserves all the attention it has gotten and more. This story is an EPIC journey that will make you feel just about every emotion a human can feel. The voice acting is wonderful, the concept is brilliant, and the characters are so fully realized that you may forget they’re not actual people in your day to day life. If you love audio drama, this is a crucial part of any balanced listening diet.

Funny and Sweet
I’m sorry that I stumbled on this podcast after it had already wrapped up so I hope they release more bonus material at some point. This is a great combination of nerd humor and heart. It’s a smart podcast that doesn’t take itself too seriously and makes you care about all the characters (including the AI). If you’re not in to sci-if, you don’t have to shy away from Wolf 359. This is about the characters and their stories and I think you’ll love it.

I laughed, I cried, it moved me bob.
I don’t know how many years ive tuned in to fall into this world over and over again. I fell in love with the characters and became engrossed with their world. Time and time again I found myself with a smile on my face as I listened to the journey presented. I grew to hate and then love some characters over and over as their personal stories evolved and even hurt as some were lost to the progress of the tale. As the story came to a close it was hard to believe that they’d leave my life, & when the final episode was released i found myself pushing it off for months as I realized what it meant. It meant goodbye. As if i was watching a friend, who traveled by my side, finally set off to new goals. It meant goodbye. At least for a time. I couldn’t recommend this story any higher through simple words. All i can suggest is to tune in fellow listener, start driving, and listen as the story unfolds. Thank you kinda evil genius for bringing me some of the best times in these past few years. Ill miss you.

A space wonder
This is a cornerstone of audio drama podcasting. They take a few episodes to find their voice, but by episode 5-10, depending on your preferences, they find their footing and their ongoing plot, and the balance between space creepiness, corporate conspiracies, and black humor. This show means so much to me, as one I first found when I started. The voice actors are phenomenal, the writing is clever with a good pace, and it's just a wondrous sci-fi tale that doesn't forget we're here for the characters too, not just the stars.

Help, I'm obsessed
I'm not entirely certain at what point I went from "this is a thing I am willing to listen to" to "I am completely obsessed and pushing it on all my friends," but it happened, and now I'm listening to it again. It starts as "let's watch these people annoy each other on a space ship" with a heavy dose of sci fi references, but along the way it becomes more about building a family out of friends. And enemies. And the ambiguous people who are not your enemies but are still trying to kill you.

A staple of the audio drama world
Wolf 359 is one of the most well-known and well-loved audio dramas for good reason. The production is gorgeous, the writing is heartbreaking and hilarious, the acting is phenomenal, and everything just gets better as it goes on. I seriously started this podcast shortly after I started listening to them again. I started it thinking that it was going to be a goofy story about people on a junky station. There is a lot of comedy, but it also gets real deep and real dark. I love everything about this, as it gets closer to the end (and oh I hate that it will end) you will constantly be on the edge of your seat.

Wolf 359 is amazing. The characters undergo so much development over the seasons, and it makes me so happy to watch them grow as people and develop strong bonds with each other. So happy to be along for the ride. Thanks guys.
When this podcast was recommended to me, I wasn't sure if I was going to like it. The first episode was called "Succulent Rat-Kiling Tar" and that kinda threw me off. Glad beyond words that I gave it a shot. This show is INCREDIBLE. The acting, the story, the pacing, the music, the characters, its all so beautiful, and there is so much more to this than the first few episodes. I know the show is ending in December, but please, listen to it ASAP. Be a part of the wonder, the anticipation, the relief. I am immensely grateful for all of the wonderful people who worked on this show, you all made me fall in love. I will be so sad to see it go, but I'm so happy I got feel it happening in real time. The smartest sci-fi around
This is my favorite piece science fiction writing, probably of all time. The first season is fun, but after that, every episode escalates the tension and raises the stakes, giving the listeners just enough "wins" so that even though everything is going wrong, we can never really be hopeless. It's beautifully executed. When I say it's the smartest sci-fi around, I mean it's a post-modern meditation on who has a right to humanity, what defines personhood, the concept of not only self-sacrifice but the sacrifice of one's sense of self, and the corrupting concept of an abstract greater good. I would give this show 10 stars if I could.

Signal Boost!!
I get personally offended whenever I see a "Top 10 audio-drama podcasts" list that doesn't include this show. Wolf 359 is stellar in every way, from acting to writing to production quality. It manages to fluctuate seamlessly between being heartfelt and fall-out-your-chair funny, and it has a suspense subplot that manages to be genuinely intriguing rather than just kind of confusing. If you don't listen for the immense quality, at least listen for Zach Valenti's boundless energy and charisma, which only seems to increase as the show goes on.

Amazing!
I'm so glad I remembered that I still needed to try this story after I switched over to this podcast app. It has elements that I've known and loved in other podcasts as well as its own mood and pacing. I love space stories. But you don't have to also love space stories to get into Wolf 359. Doug reminds me of The Penumbra Podcast's gloomy yet strangely philanthropic protagonist, Juno Steel. The way the Hephaestus's communications officer acknowledges that he's recording and why reminds me of Cecil Palmer of Welcome to Night Vale. Yet Wolf 359 is its own narrative, one that I've found so compelling that I started listening sometime yesterday or the day before and I'm on episode 16 at the moment. I'm thrilled to have years of this story to enjoy before I catch up, and I'm glad that I can spend more time thinking about space and purpose. (Also, I care so much about this podcast I rediscovered just this week that I rewrote this after accidentally deleting it, if that's any indicator of how attached I already feel to this story.)
