Mandii offensive comment about Asians
Let me start off my saying I love this podcast. Mandii and Weezy have really opened my perspective on how to be an unapologetic sex positive women in a society where women are often torn down. However, Mandii’s comment about Asians being the cockroaches of culture is offensive and hurtful. I am an AmeriAsian and love the fact how many cultures in this country have blended together. That is what this country is all about. Mandii doubles down again when she says Asians should not be considered a diversity hire and that this is a fact from her days in Finance. I commend Weezy for trying to correct Mandii’s ignorant comment. Because that isn’t always the easiest to do. But for anyone who listens to this episode just know that diversity corporate programming is not always put together by people of color. They are often put together by white people. If a company or human being has taught you that Asians are not a part of a minority group, please know this is a white supremacy tactic pinning one group against another. We are all trying to do the best we can and this episode was uncalled for.

Love Weezy but Mandi needs to relax
I love this show but the only reason I struggle listening is because of Mandi’s constant yelling and talking down to Weezy. She is so negative, talks over Weezy, and always has SOMETHING to say when Weezy talks. Weezy does such a great job trying to defuse but I don’t know how you do it girl. I hope the show can last because there are great guests and topics but if Mandi doesn’t work on herself, not sure how much longer they will work together.

I’ve been listening for a few years and I love the topics and tbh 90% of the time the different dynamic of the two host. But other times it does seem like Mandii just disagrees just to disagree and not relate to Weezy in anyway shape or form. And it feels as though she try’s hard to discredit the things her co host says. I’m giving 5 stars because the concept of the show is good and this isn’t a every episode issue. I do believe both women bring a very fun and interesting perspective to this podcast and are very valuable.

I’ve been a listener for a couple years I stopped listening because the way they constantly interrupt the guests makes me cringe. They both do it but Mandy is the worse because she not only cuts the guests off mid sentence but she makes EVERYTHING about her it’s so annoying. This Zola episode is the first episode I’ve listened to in about six months, when Zola said “let me finish” when they kept interrupting I started clapping.

Not gonna lie you guys have opened my eyes so much about sex. And I’m only on 2018 right now. I love you guys so much and I have even opened my eyes to my sexuality lately. Wizzys poly relationship talk in 2017 has been a huge open to me to look more into it bc I always sorta had an eye for women. I def will write to ur email for some sex help. I’ve been listening to WD for years now. It used to be so much fun and a much needed break from monotony. That Monday drop was always exciting. But the energy between Mandii and Weezy has changed so much. Mandii pointlessly challenges everything Weezy says as if she has a personal problem she can’t work though. It’s not fun to listen to anymore. Sitting through Mandii’s nitpicks, arguing and smart remarks every week makes MEEE feel exhausted. Go back to the original vibe of the show or quit and go your separate ways. The bad energy and lack of chemistry is palpable now.

I just started listening to this show and I really like it. I have a lot of episodes to go but I really love how the guess on episode 29 bought out so many of the concern I have about how you react to certain things people do. I know that was the beginning of the show and I can’t wait to see how much you have mentality and personally grow by this year. (2021) Episode 35 You have to listen to the episode again. You’re super sexist and support the patriarchal society we live in.

I can hear the growth!
I used to listen to call her daddy (and I’m Black lawd 😩😩) I didn’t know ya’ll existed!! This podcast is sooo relatable and you discuss topics that me and my homegworls talk about all the time! Note: I’m a social worker so I have a sensitive ear. Things said in past episodes would make me cringe lol but as I continue listening I can definitely hear the growth between you two! I love to hear Mandy’s raspy voice. It just does something for me. Wheezy (forgive the spelling) has got to stop bashing men. I think they’re a balanced team and a fair representation of what women feel and see in the world. It’s not easy being a Black Woman, let alone sexually active, and loving it for pleasure and not reproduction. They’re off the beaten path and have fun doing what they do. I love them. I listen to them and watch them more than the Breakfast Club. I would love to be a “regular dude” guest. The energy here is on point.

I used to obsess over this podcast. But lately, all we hear about, is how perfect their sex lives are. Which is awesome for them. Do you really like each other?
I remember listening to this from the beginning. And watching this progress. But it seems like the 2 really don’t get along....again. And I think the backstory was when they first met they didn’t get along and didn’t talk for some times. They mentioned it in the begninning wpisodes. Weezy is calm and growing. Mandi wants to over talk and debate. I have a hard time listening to these now in comparison of the start.

Fun & Interesting Topics but Lackluster Interviewers
I enjoy listening to the podcast. The conversations and banter is fun and also interesting. I catch myself ugly laughing more than I would like to admit. However, They hosts do not allow their guest to speak and finish a complete thought. The guests are constantly interrupted and topics become derailed which changes the flow and tone of the conversations. For some reason Weezy always interjects with her own stories and takes the focus and topic of conversations off of the guest and fully on her. I just finished listening to the most recent episode with Lisa Ann and was disappointed by the quality of this interview. Although, she was able to steer the convo back to her points or back on track, They (Mainly Weezy)talked over her so much, that she wasn’t able to fully delve into things. They interjected so much in this interview that only a small amount of time was spent on Lisa Ann’s story, experiences and history-it could have been so great. Unfortunately this is the case with majority of the guests.

The ONLY POD with coherent and funny content
I listen to a lot of women owned podcasts and I can’t stick around or subscribe because they all say LIKE 900 f* times in one sentence. It makes the other women talking on their podcasts sound illiterate or stupid for lack of better words. I listen to every episode loaded by these talented and funny ladies without rolling my eyes because I hear like, like, like, but like, and like, you know like.... Weezy and Mandii also talked about the mouth wash for dry mouth...I’ve used it for years it’s amazing. Please come to Sacramento whenever you get to tour again!!!!!!!! Probably won’t happen since our governor is a modern day hitler minus the physical genocide, just mental murder. Lastly, the one star people...you all don’t listen for the intent because you’re all typical annoying people that get offended by the lack of crust on a grilled cheese sandwich, move on.

These podcasters like to label themselves as educators and I am genuinely confused as to why. I have been listening to the show for years and I am sorry to say that there is no growth.These women are as misinformed as they were when they first started.Even when they have experts or other people who know more than they do, they constantly talk over them and belittle them after the show was over; which is very disrespectful to the people that they invite on their platform. Weezy should take the dignity she has left and go solo and distance herself. There’s no hope for the ignorant colorist.

Sofia with an F brought me here and I am beyond grateful! This is a show that is truly authentic—more so than any podcast I’ve ever listened to (CHD being one of them). Although Mandi and Weezy have clear differences, the brand is consistent and they have unbelievable chemistry for both interviewing and storytelling. My only wish is that Weezy and Mandi bring their moms back on the show! Those were singlehandedly the best episodes yet. Most of the guests are great, but nothing beats the episodes where you guys bring on your close friends and family. Thanks and keep being awesome!

I thought the hosts were really funny on Sofia’s podcast.During this weeks episode they made fun of white peoples names and called white people crackers. I unsubscribed and realized I was unwelcome. Try listening to hear, not to respond
I love love love the podcast. But like many other listeners, the interrupting is soo disrespectful. Most reviews call mandii out for it but I think weezy is the worst. To interrupt both guests and your co-host mid sentence just shows you are only listening to respond. The worst was when you cut Tahoe off while he was making a very insightful comment during an incredibly important conversation (a black male openly processing his transphobia). Also, for you to argue that using the R word is okay is kinda sickening. I’ve heard whole episodes where mandii barely speaks. Can you just chill please? I really do love you both but it’s hard to listen to sometimes.

Was a huge Stan of this podcast for the last few years but I can’t deal with Mandii’s ignorance and how she doesn’t believe in science. It’s like she’s normalizing going out, traveling, and hanging out with a ton of people during a pandemic. Just irresponsible. Like other’s on here say , you can tell Weezy and Mandii don’t like each other and it shows in the podcast. How can I tell? If you follow both of them, NEITHER of them repost each other’s side projects and other podcasts nor do they follow each other’s separate podcasts. How do you not hype and promote your own partner? I binged this entire series over two months. They introduced me to terms that helped me understand my own sexuality and relationship style. I can’t thank them enough for that. Found this show after seeing a random tweet. Really enjoyed the subject matter and the guests. It’s great to have a place for Black women to talk candidly and unabashedly real talk about sex. However, one of the hosts is less enjoyable than the other. I can appreciate differences in personality and approach, but this host is loud and every time she spoke I cringed. Sounds like she has spit lodged in her throat and like she wanted to be heard above everyone else. I would have enjoyed it a lot more without her.

I love the ladies and how open they are with their audiences. I also think the ladies do a good job of trigger warnings to people that may have a hard time listening. They recently had THEE HEYFRANHEY on and oh what a missed opportunity for us to hear an in-depth conversation in a realm we don’t usually get to hear from her. They kept interrupting her and never allowed her to complete a thought. It is so frustrating listening back. This seems to be a frequent complaint and it just seems like they are purposely not trying to grow.

Sad possible goodbye
Two years in and this may be it for me. I love the show, I have put all my friends on, I’m a patron, but this may be it for me. The show has gotten lost in arguments that aren’t even on topic. Guests barely speak about themselves. I’m left wanting more. There’s a lot of reviews that concern mandii and sadly they are accurate. Her opinions which are rightfully hers do not respectfully disagree, I feel like if you don’t agree with her, she downgrades others. Even when others are explaining, she’s just like oh well, your bad. Like the episode where she said block people don’t get COVID was pure ignorance. What’s up now?!? She is too loud and I’m from Orlando too, we ain’t that ratchet. This is just too much. I feel like I’ve lost hearing her true personality and now it’s just Mandii the podcaster personality. I’ve been listening to this pod for over a year. I loved the idea of black women stepping into this space – confident, empowered, direct. But the amount of arguing and misinformation has led me to have to unsubscribe. Some thoughts... Mandii should NOT be the lead mic. Not only is she is the most uninformed - and proud of it - but she doesn’t know how to pace and lead a show. Every time a good conversation gets going she cuts it off to switch to a half baked “segment” that is far less interesting than the convo happening. (Also, you don’t have to introduce your segments EVERY EPISODE. We know what ice breakers are.) I feel bad for Weezy. She is clearly trying to keep the show as it should be, and is met with confrontation every time. And has been for a LONG time. (She was right, they never should’ve done that terrible therapy episode.) But she cares about attempting to be informed, and keeping the space fair to the entire community. WEEZY DESERVES A BETTER COHOST. If she starts her own show with someone else, maybe I’ll return. Until then, it’s been (mostly) fun to listen.

Stop talking over each other!
I really wanted to enjoy this show! I love the content and the black girl magic but I cannot listen to people screaming over each other. I truly gave it a chance and listened to multiple episodes but the guests can barely even talk without the one girl interrupting or changing the conversation back to herself. I can’t do it. I want to be a fan. So maybe I’ll try again in a couple months to see if things have changed. Good luck.

I do love listening but have also noticed you’re always talking over each other and interrupting guests. Also the sound goes from really quiet to super loud constantly and it’s annoying to turn the volume up and down all the time. I do appreciate how much you encourage safe sex and sex exploration! I wish Weezie would speak up more about her perspective because I feel like she has so much to say that she isn’t!!!!! And I identify with what she says more than what Mandii says.

Not sure who they think they’re talking to?
Just started listening and was episode hopping, getting caught up, but I think Im done listening for now. As soon as I heard Mandi refer to Oscar Grant as “some broke n**** that got killed by the police” in one of the earlier episodes I knew I had to head out. Sometimes Mandii’s internalized anti blackness has her sounding like a straight up confederate flag waving, trump supporting, poorly educated white man at times. It’s also weird because I’m not sure who the intended audience is? They’re constantly acting disgusted by people that make under 70k annually even though that has to be a lot of their listenership? Also socioeconomically shaming anyone is kinda weird when you built a whole brand around throwing kitty at famous men that don’t claim or even respect you in order to support your lifestyle. Both things are ok, (working a low to decent paying vanilla job and being a permanent side chick to maintain proximity to famous d) so why invite shame into either narrative? It honestly just feels like their world is very insular and they think they’re only talking to aspiring ig thots, and other fame adjacent podcastsers, which is fine but also kind of a bummer because there are regular black folk that like kinky sex too. The I think most people actually don’t care who you’re f’ing because we know men put their d in anything they find decent looking, even famous ones, we wanna know how you’re f’ing. I will say that Weezy is the one that brought me to this podcast and she definitely has more humility, self-awareness and a higher EQ in general. If Weezy could find another cohost I would stick around— the energy would be totally different in a good way. Also these two are not friends and don’t like each other! Part of the appeal of these types of podcasts is the dynamic the hosts have. I think Weezy should take over the brand and find an actual friend to host with.
