Decent podcast
This is generally a decent podcast. I appreciate how they talk about topics related to Romancelandia in general (both good and problematic). My biggest quibble is that they ramble rather than having a concise message.

Romance
It's great to hear woman who don't see romance books as a quilty pleasure. Keep bringing us your mix of news and new books.

A great way to spend some time.
Two very personable young women discussing romance books. If you enjoy romance, listening to this podcast is well worth your time.

It is ok
I would like to rate this higher but after listening to it for awhile I have a few issues. First, Trisha rambles quite a bit. She tries to make a point but repeats the same idea in several different ways over and over, plus she digresses so much while talking that it is almost painful to listen to sometimes. She seems like a lovely and charming individual but I wish she would be more succinct and to the point. My other issue is that they recommend the SAME authors every single podcast. I would prefer to see more breadth and depth when it comes to authors and titles.

Good show, but could use some refining
I typically really enjoy this podcast but I feel like the quality has dipped in recent months. The adaptation shows are a real downer. I came to the podcast for books not shows and it’s frustrating when either host hasn’t even read the book that’s being adapted. Reviews and recommendations are often rambling and the same authors are mentioned frequently. I wish the format was more like Read or Dead, where there is some news, a topic for the week with recommendations, and updates about new releases. I feel like the adaptation and news segments can get out of hand sometimes. Perhaps sticking to a tighter schedule would help.

Needs a Producer
I love what this show is talking about, but the conversations are so disorganized. I wish the team would figure out a way to plan ahead – I think that would tighten the podcast and make it sound more professional.

Sponsor Win
Really enjoying the podcast. After a long break from romance novels, you’ve renewed my enthusiasm for the genre. FYI - one of your recent episodes was sponsored by Maya Rodale’s book, “Duchess by Design.” It sounded interesting, so I went out and bought it. It does not disappoint. It’s witty and sweet. I love the comedic repetition of phrases and the call backs as the book progresses. Great balance between historical ambience and modern sensibilities. Maybe a little too much use of the One. Word. Sentence. But it’s easy to overlook, since the book is so much fun. I will definitely read more Mara Rodale books. So Sponsor Win! And thanks for your podcast.

The Podcast Romance Readers Deserve--Finally!
Two intelligent women talk intelligently about romance--what a breath of fresh air! I appreciate that the hosts discuss all kinds of topics related to romancelandia, including problematic issues. I've also learned about authors I should check out that I had never considered before. Keep it up, ladies!

Editing
I like the content and the hosts but, oh boy, does this podcast need to be edited. The hosts lack the ability to transition between topics. Each topic inevitably devolves into an awkward back and forth of empty comments that add zero value to the conversation. Even transitioning to their advertisements involves awkward silences and shuffling to open the script to read from - this stuff should be edited out. One episode even contained this cringe-worthy "joke" about forgetting to name a book that was repeated at least 10 times. The first time the joke was funny after that it just became painful. Please, Book Riot, tighten up your podcasts, it doesn't need to be like this.

Wish I could give it more stars...
The content is great and love how they tackle the tough, political issues that emerge in the romance world. Just wish they could pull together a quicker paced, tighter edited podcast on a regular basis.
