Love this show!
OMG! I just found you. I just listened to S2 Ep40: Terina’s Story about escaping the Mormon church! I was never a Mormon, but I did grow up in strict evangelical religion. I could so relate to her story, and I loved your questions and compassion. I also love your after show bonus reflections. I feel so seen! Going to binge you now.

So fortunate to talk to Luke and Kyle. They are very genuine and engaging. We truly had a powerful conversation, sharing hard and vulnerable experiences that are relatable with everyone. These two are very compassionate as they shed light on what people deal with in their lives. Also loved that they give a BONUS After Thoughts episode which they reflect and share their thoughts about our topic. More power to your show!

So inspiring and uplifting!
I really enjoy this show because it touches on the depth and strength of being human. Sometimes it feels like we suffer more than others and it can be healing and comforting to remember that all of us as humans experienced hardship and suffering. These stories will definitely uplift and inspire you to keep going no matter what is unfolding in your life! Enjoy!

- S3 EP21: Lisa's Story - BONUS After ThoughtsLuke and Kyle discuss the previous episode, Lisa's Story, in which Dr Lisa Smith discusses a number of Sexual Violence and Assault incidents within her own family unit. She would learn that these such incidents were not isolated, and soon realized that the issue of Sexual Assault in her community was all too common. It's a heavy episode and very inspiring talking to Lisa, and the work she is doing now to help kids and youths understand more about consent, what to do and who to turn to if assaulted, and when and how to speak up! - S3 EP21: Lisa's Story - The Spread Of Sexual Violence In My CommunityDr Lisa Smith is a professor, hypnotherapist, author, and advocate who has helped many people for the past 20+ years overcome trauma from PTSD, abuse (physical, sexual & emotional) & other mental health issues. In many cases, she is likely the only person that her clients confide in regarding their sexual assault or rape. This is a very hard hitting episode so be warned! Lisa discusses a number of Sexual Violence incidents within her own family, in her own home! She he would learn that these such incidents were not isolated, and soon realized that the issue of Sexual Assault in her community was all too common. She made it her mission to raise awareness and convince people and parents that young children and teens must learn about grooming and targeting so that, as a community, they can reduce the number of sexual assaults against children and youth. Some of the statistics you will hear in the episode are utterly mind bending, and we thank Dr Lisa Smith for sharing her knowledge and story.
