Hey, what's up guys? This is Carson and you were listening to unravel the story first and foremost, I want to apologize for how late this episode, is the fact that it's not a full-length episode. And
That we had to take episode 5 down.
Music episode 5 down primarily for the reasons that we felt. It wasn't up to standards and that you guys actually deserved a more well-thought-out episode than what we had presented. So for those reasons we, we had to take a nap so down,
But Brianna will actually not be joining me this week, due to the unexpected family, emergency that appeared. So she'll probably be back later this week when we record with, I'll send her well, wishes, and we will go ahead and dive into this week's short story, which I hope you guys enjoy.
so, this week, I will be telling you about a Japanese urban legend called Tikki Tikki
I hope I'm pronouncing that correctly because if not fuck, but there are several variations of a story told, I crossed your pan. I guess, depending on whatever you're a year in, in some stories that I have read, she was a victim of a tragic accident and then and Other Stories she was a victim of suicide. So,
Today's variation tells the tragic end of a woman from Hokkaido named Kashi Marengo, who was assaulted by men in the military and was left injured on the railroad tracks.
unfortunately, though she was hit by a train and her body was severed in half but because of how cold it was outside, the blood vessels in her body constricted and she was
unable to bleed out as quickly, so it was not a pleasant end for her at all.
so do to this, she crawled around and
It's like she was trying to seek help or something but I guess an attendant saw her and was horrified by what he saw. I mean I would be too considering, you know, there's a severed body crawling around a train station at night.
I don't blame him for what he did.
But it was kind of a dick move.
Instead of helping her, he covered her with a plastic covering and left her to die, a slow and agonizing death.
Thanks, dude. Because Jenna you didn't help the situation.
So Tikki Tikki is name is a very interesting name. Honestly, it actually comes from the sounds that she makes when she pursues her victims due to the fact that load the lower half of her body is gone. So she drags herself around using her hands and her nails or claws. Depending on what story you read, creating a scratching like sound that her victims here before she attacks them. Like
I would be running.
It's like no, thank you, no, ma'am.
But the legend behind Miss tiki Tiki.
There is a story that is often told and the seems to be like the most common story that I had was able to find. Legend has said that a young boy was walking home at night where he saw a young woman standing out of the windowsill of a school resting on her elbows.
They caught each other's. I shared a smile. And the boy wonder why she was there as a school was actually an all-boys School.
Make sense why he would be wondering why there is a woman there.
I mean assuming that there's no woman teachers but you know, whatever.
The Mystic katiki launched yourself out the window, revealing the missing lower half of her body.
She carried with her a spice. And before the boy, could turn and run,
She caught the boy and killed him.
His body was actually later found with the lower half of his body missing.
Just like tiki Tiki.
People say that if you are seen by her or you see her, she will chase you with a size in her hand and slice you in half. So you look exactly like her
Some say she's impossible to outrun.
Mother's Day differently.
So you're you're by a railroad track in Japan.
And you hear scraping sounds.
I pray for you cuz Lord. If the part where they say that she is impossible to outrun,
Cuz apparently one of her superpowers is super speed.
And she will get you, and rip you in half or slice, you in half.
in this case,
That's all I have for you. That is the urban legend, teke teke. And you guys can look these stories up by searching Tiki tikis name. There are several websites. You can read about her and see maybe other variations of the story that I did not talk about the very fascinating read. So,
Yeah, I hope you enjoy tonight's episode. We will have something more substantial ready for you guys next week and I hope that you have a wonderful day.
Whatever day it may be.
By you guys.
