Great content!
Glad to have found this show to add to my true crime rotation! She covers some cases I had never heard about before in a straightforward and clear manner. No bells and whistles and fancy production value, just good storytelling. Keep up the good work!

Can’t get enough
I found this podcast by sheer accident and it has become one of my favorites, well researched, interesting, unique crimes from all around the world, Sandy tells it well and in a soothing voice, no opinions, just straight up storytelling. I appreciate this so much.

LOVE!
Absolutely great content! Stories are straight to the details with out a whole lot of frill. Minimal interruptions for commercials, which is a nice surprise as a lot of podcasts are constantly stopped for commercials. Sandy has a great speaking voice as well as an amazing ability to tell a story. I also like the balance between the unknown outcome cases as well as cases with a resolution. Great job picking cases to share!

Fantastic podcast !!
I just found this podcast after asking in a social media group , for a podcast with just one host and a soothing voice . Was Not let down!!! I’m 12 episodes in and absolutely LOVE the host !! She does indeed have a soothing voice , and I don’t have to deal with faked banter between dual hosts feigning shock and horror . These episodes are well researched , well narrated , and just plain seriously awesome to listen to ! So thrilled to have found her ! Side note , her earlier episodes were recorded on a boat , but this hasn’t bothered me , and in fact I’ve enjoyed the soft background sounds . Grateful she doesn’t add loud background or purposeful sound FX . ( second side note , I’m a chronic migraine sufferer ,this podcast is EXACTLY what I need on my bad days . I can still listen to true crime stories without loud varying voices . Super calming )

Interesting podcast
I came across this podcast while searching for another. I listened to a couple of episodes. Then, I took to the road for 2400 mile round trip. I decided to binge a few episodes. Twisted Travel and True Crime was a most excellent travel partner. As I listened from the beginning, I loved how Sandi got better and better with time and experience. The stories are interesting, very well researched and reported. Side note: the story about Chris Lemon is my favorite. I’m not crying, you’re crying!

Oh WOW! I LOVED the episode Under The Sea!
This is my 2nd review, but this episode was so good! When I got to the part where Chris was brought out of the water & what happened next….just wow, so beautifully told! I cried. Of course all of your stories are great, but not sure if you have a group page for discussions about the podcast, so I had to show my appreciation for your podcast here again.

I really love this podcast. Her voice is so soothing. I listen while I’m working and at night to wind down. I also love the boat sounds! It makes it even better when I wanna relax. I think it’s great that she is sharing these lesser known stories. These were real people who mattered.

Hidden Gem
I stumbled upon this podcast when looking into the death of Talana Kreeger. This is one of only two podcast episodes discussing the case. I like it because it’s not too long, so I finish an episode in one sitting (one drive, a shower etc). She has a good voice, she gets right to the point and doesn’t read several ads first. She gives content warnings. It’s also many cases I hadn’t heard before which is rare. Good job!

Very captivating
I’ve just started this podcast because it just started playing after the series I was listening to ended. Immediately I was drawn in by her voice. And I just kept listening, not even knowing what I was listening to until I grabbed my phone to see. I have been listening for hours now and it’s just so good. The way she shares the stories is so detailed but also delicate. I’m hooked!

Not a Fan of the Narrator
This didn’t feel like a true crime podcast. The narrator read this like she was reading a book. The actual story might have been decent if read by someone else.

Consistently Good!
This podcast deserves the attention of an audience who appreciates independent podcasts. With a soothing voice, Sandi tells us true crime stories we likely will never hear with the mainstream pods. I miss traveling, and rely on podcasts to keep me sane anymore. This one ticks all the boxes. It stands up with the best of them. Thank you, Sandi.

I happened to see this podcast mentioned in a true crime Facebook group and became curious. I’ve listened to three of the latest episodes so far and I love love love this podcast! Sandi Allen does an excellent job (I especially enjoyed her telling the story of the tinder swindler!) and I will be plowing my way through all of the episodes. I also love her occasional personal comments as they make me laugh. Give this a listen and you won’t regret it.

Happy to have stumbled upon this one!
I love that Sandi tells stories that I haven’t heard before. And the soothing voice, waves, and twinkle music is an interesting contradiction to the horrific topics she covers. To me it makes it more story-timey and I love that. She also just seems like a nice lady! I’m not cut out for boat life so I’ll just live it through this podcast.

- Lost on a Cruise Ship - The Disappearance of Tammy GroganTammy Grogan's 2006 dream cruise turned into a nightmare when the single mother never returned. She was given an all inclusive cruise along with her mother, aunt and son. The gift was from a man whom Tammy felt had an inappropriate relationship with her son. She'd even spoken with police about the relationship months earlier. Regardless, she took the cruise and once aboard, they unexpectedly ran into the sister of the man who gave her the free cruise. The group spent a couple days in paradise, laughing and living it up before Tammy mysteriously vanished. This unsolved case dives into whether she fell, jumped or was pushed by either her own family, or the man's sister and her boyfriend. - The Drifter - The Murder of Michele Wallace, Pauline Klumpp, Anita Andrews and Charlotte Sauerwin by Serial Killer Roy MelansonIn 1974, Michelle Wallace lost her life in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. The first predator, the human that took her life, was bad enough but there were many more that would follow, picking at her carcass and scattering her remains throughout the wilderness. Twenty years later, before her body returned to dust, a young, smart and tenacious investigator and members of a team called Necrosearch worked together to find her. With a lot of skill and some good luck, they found her skull. Roy Melanson would be found guilty of her murder. What they didn't know at the time was that he was a serial killer and that catching him would help authorities solve several other murders from the 70's and 80's. - "Two Can Keep a Secret if One of Them is Dead" - The murder of Grace Millane by Jesse KempsonThe murder of British backpacker Grace Millane in New Zealand in 2018 was so heartless that her death would cause an outpouring of sympathy on 2 sides of the world. She swiped right on a man who killed her on their first date. She hadn't known that 8 month earlier, her date, Jesse Kempson raped another backpacker and had a history of violence. The hot sun licking at exposed skin, the dry air sucking its victims dry. Park rangers find dehydrated hikers rambling around, incoherent, some barely able to stand. But on August 4th 1999, just a Stones throw from a trail head, Park rangers would come upon something they never could have anticipated….. the body of a man covered in stones and his apparent killer resting in a tent nearby. The death would be blamed on the desert and the killer hoped, the jury would believe him.0 comments0

- Mystery on Lake Huron - The Death of Lana Stempien and Missing Charles (Chuck) RutherfordLana and Chuck, both 35 years old, disappeared under what her family believes are mysterious circumstances. They were on a boating vacation in Lake Huron when their boat was found off course, tossing about in rough water with the engine in idle, music still playing on the stereo. No one was on the boat. Nearly 2 weeks later, Lana's body was found 7 miles from where her boat was found. She was naked except for her jewelry. There were no cuts or bruises. Chuck's body never surfaced. Ever since her body was found, locals have whispered about "hunches" and "what if's" especially after reports of loud public arguments between the couple were reported. We can't forget the erased information from the boats global positioning system either. Was this an accident or a murder and where is Chuck? - The Barefoot Bandit - Colton Harris MooreThe boy was tired, dirty and hungry. He climbed up the side of the house using the window ledge to boost himself up to the roof. He’d been to this house before. His muddy bare feet barely left a mark on the metal roof. His tracks snaked along the roof line then disappeared near the window that, he knew, had been left unlocked. He quietly slipped inside. The house was currently unoccupied but he was quiet nonetheless. He crouched listening to the silence just to make sure. When he was reassured that he was alone, he made his way downstairs to the freezer. Inside, was just what he needed, frozen pizza and ice cream. The thought of food made him smile. He started the oven, placing the pizza inside then showered while it cooked. He started a load of laundry too. He ate his pizza while watching TV then made sure to clean up afterwards. Feeling warm, clean and satiated he decided he’d sleep here tonight. It certainly beat sleeping outdoors like he was used to. This hungry boy, named Colton Harris Moore would grow into a 19 year old felon and "folk hero", who had a penchant for stealing boats and planes. His final act was stealing an airplane in Bloomington, Indiana and crashing it in the Bahama islands hours later. - Canada's Alaska Highway Killing Spree - The murder of Chynna Deese, Lucas Fowler and Leonard Dyck by Kam McLeod and Breyer SchmegelskyOn July 22nd, 2019 a Canadian officer was driving around on his normal patrol route when up ahead of him he saw a truck run a red light at an intersection. The officer quickly flashed his lights and signaled to the trucks driver to pullover. Inside were two young men who appeared to be in their late teens. They looked nervous and scared. He told them he’d watched them run a red light and that they needed to be more careful. The teens just nodded in agreement and apologized, still frightened. Wondering why the boys seemed so unnerved, The officer decided to search the boys vehicle, but didn’t find anything suspicious. The only items in the back were survival gear and maps, pretty common belongings for people driving in that area who liked to hike or camp in the wilderness. Realizing he had nothing to keep them further, The officer told the boys to be more careful driving and sent them on their way. As he watched them drive off he had no idea he was letting two killers go free. - Road Trip from Hell - The Kidnapping of Elisha Greer by Marcus MartinA pretty, blonde haired, young woman walked into a Caltex gas station in Mitchell, Australia. She was a 22 year old British backpacker who was visiting the country on a prolonged holiday. Video footage shows her walking in, wearing flip flops on her feet, a purple sundress and matching purple bruises on her face and body. She walks up to the cashier with tears rolling down her face and tells the woman that she doesn’t have any money to pay. She then walks out and drives off. The cashier calls the police and gives them a description of the woman and the car. Minutes later, Elisha Greer's heart dropped as she was being pulled over. No, the police didn’t scare her. What did scare her, more than anything else , was not a what but a who. He was kneeling on the floor of the car, behind her seat, with a knife in his hand. - Don't Drink the Water - Geetha AngaraGeetha Angara's body was discovered in a water tank at a plant where she worked for over 12 years. The injuries she sustained. pointed to murder but there was very little evidence. The facility was well guarded and fenced in. This meant her killer had to be one of 50 coworkers, if there was a killer at all... This is a fascinating and confounding cold case.
