Great content - change up ads
As I continue to listen, some ads repeat, they are all thrown into the beginning of the pod and then sprinkled throughout the episode. You put a lot of effort into the content, please redo how you place your ads. Better transition would be great. Again, just my feedback.

Just started ….
Just started listening to this, and had to go back and look for more. She has a nice voice and I enjoy hearing her talk about her introspection and her thought/feeling process. She speaks and articulates her thoughts well and as if she’s had some professional training, though her job doesn’t suggest she would have. Not an “um” or “uh” or filler word to be found! 🤣 I wish I could rate some of the other reviews…..! People can be really rude or ignorant. For instance, confusing reflection with insecurity, or commenting on privileged white girls trying to be motivational speakers. Firstly, maybe she says it in an episode I haven’t listened to, but I don’t know that she’s white…? Secondly, what a gross mischaracterization of the podcast by someone who appears to not be self-aware. That said, if you’re not into “diary” type podcasts (and this is not at all cringey like that word implies.. ;)) then this won’t be your cup of tea. But if you like having an authentic chat with a friend, then you’ll like it like I do.

I wait for these episodes every week!
Obsessed with this. It feels so easy and like I’m listening to a friend. I love the history stories, it’s really cool learning about everything she talks about. It’s almost like a mini audio docuseries plus some gal chat. It’s one of my favorite podcasts!

Ramble
I used to LOVE this pod. Was my fav and I loved the rambling diary entries but WOW is so jumbled. It’s hard to keep up. Please gather your thoughts. I also hate when privileged white girls in there 20s try to become motivational speakers.

She is the moment
I don’t know why everyone try’s to attack Katy… the beauty of this podcast is the lack of structure, it’s a thought experiment and if you don’t get that then sorry!! The content is just the right amount of crafted she has a topic but she runs with it and I think thats awesome. She’s putting herself out there in an honest way that many other podcasters never dare to and I love it. Keep it up.

Katy's Podcasts are so relatable ❤️
One thing I like about Katy's podcast is that they are so relatable and that's what I like. I also like that she focuses more on the content and she has some very interesting trivia at times. Keep up the good work! I give this one a 5/5.

Needs improvement!
I used to be obsessed with this podcast but I find myself getting lost when ads interrupt the story. I wish the ad placements were a bit more separated whether it was saying “shoutout to the sponsors that make this podcast possible” before ad reads or separating it with tunes like other podcasts do. I also really miss when you talk about what you’re reading and watching I find that super helpful and a sweet and way to connect with your listeners!

Not enough actual content for me
Personally feel like 80% of the episodes are filled with unrelated ramblings and ads. Not much actual content relating to the titles.

Going Down
The history component of this podcast is what made it great. Now it’s just been conscious ramblings of insecurity. Which is fine but if that’s going to be the new theme of the podcast going forward..it was good until it wasn’t. It used to be history filled and relatable. Now not so much.

Too many ads
I really enjoy the premise of this podcast, all of the stories and history Katy shares. But the amount of ads is almost unbearable. For a show that is already short, there shouldn’t be this many ads. And the same ones are repeated over and over again which makes it hard to even want to listen.

Cannot support any longer
After years and years of supporting katy, I’ve reached my threshold. Her inability to speak on pressing issues, as well as her lying about traveling and pretending as though she is meticulously following the guidelines...so disappointed and over it. Maybe spend the time you use deleting comments that call you out to instead reconsider how you are using your platform.

Zi*nist support
She blatantly ignores the human rights of P*lestinians and expresses her support for the Zionist state taking over their homeland, forcing them out of their homes, and cheering as they burn down their place of worship. Disgusting.

Love Katy, hate the ads
I really enjoy listening to this podcast as a woman in my twenties. I’m a long time follower of Katy’s and appreciate her perspective, historical appreciation, and the insight she brings in from followers. However, the constant, repeating ads makes me not want to listen anymore. I have nothing against ads - chase your gains, girl! But the sudden, interrupting, repetitive ads really ruin the listening experience. If you could maintain them all in an “ad break” or at the beginning and the end it would be a more enjoyable experience.

Ignore the haters/bad reviews
I usually don’t review podcasts, but felt I needed to defend this podcast after reading some of these terrible reviews- most of which don’t have to do with the podcast. I look forward to hearing thick and thin, and listen every week. The topics Katy talks about are purposeful and well thought out. I often feel very isolated going through certain experiences (moving away from home, wanting to move back, navigating my 20s in a new job) and Katy is like that friend who says “I’m going through it too”. It’s been so refreshing to listen to and almost feels like a mini therapy session while I go about my day. Thank you Katy- will continue to listen and support ❤️

STOP LYING
Katy, it’s getting to be a problem with many of your followers that you consistently dupe them into thinking you’re a good person with empathy. No good person with empathy parties at the risk of adding one more the 500,000 American death toll of covid-19. Get a grip, and for once stop using tumblr as a blueprint for your life and be your own person. Maybe then you won’t do this rule breaking and lying for fun. Remember for the future that when it comes to your journal that your kids will be able to put the pieces together and figure out their mother spent more time drinking white claws in NYC apartments with 13 people during a pandemic that just took 1 to start it all. Start caring about your followers, or maybe just stop being as selfish and you’ll find that more people give you better pod reviews. Cant delete this one, and you can’t block me either! xo

Life, love and breaking COVID protocols
This podcast would be cooler (kind of - not really; Katy’s ramblings are mundane at this point, and she has no idea what she’s talking about) if this ~influencer actually was… a good influence. Instead, she chooses to ignore that a pandemic is actually happening in this country and irresponsibility parties, disappears from social media for days at a time so she can coordinate her calculated posts and lies to make it look like she’s not being ignorant, having her friends attack fans who call her out on social media for this behavior. My advice? Stop partying with groups of 10 people in the middle of a pandemic that is still happening and focus on this podcast more, so that it doesn’t sound like some last-minute, night-before-a-school-project-is-due nonsense. I can’t take anything she says seriously anymore. Katy, you are not Carrie Bradshaw. You’re an ignorant woman who doesn’t recognize her privilege. Your followers are starting to open their eyes and realize you’re not all you’ve painted yourself to be. An apology on this podcast would be cool, to start - but you don’t even think you did anything wrong.

Through thick and COVID
Between her New Years party trips in CA, avoiding travel quarantine laws (multiple times), and road trips with friends, I can’t look up to this “influencer” after ~8 years of following her. The cherry on top is that she goes out of her way to hide this from her followers and even goes to the length of having her friends bully those who call her out. Katy, hope you’re ashamed of yourself when you think of all your spreading of lies (and COVID).

YOU HAVE TO LISTEN TO IT
I love Katy and her podcast. She’s so genuine, fun and great at articulating her thoughts. It makes me sad to see how many people are bringing her down because she’s ‘’traveling during covid’’. So many influencers are doing a lot more and don’t get any hate. At the end of the day, you don’t know her life or her story. There’s no point to post a disgusting comment and ruin somebody’s day. I hope you don’t listen to these comments Katy. The people who write them are just depressed about their own lives, sitting indoors and clearly going insane. Sending lots of love your way, please keep doing what you do. I really enjoy when you share about your life. Thanks for being an inspiration! Love ya :)

Dishonest, fake, and calculated
Katy constantly says she’s learned life lessons and claims she’s changed and improved to become xyz, but then she’ll repeat the same mistakes over and over again. Perhaps there is growth we’re not seeing but I see no evidence of it in this podcast. She says the right things but there is no indication that her actions match her empty words. This rings true when it comes to covid. She has claimed she’s “not above the rules,” and that someone who reaps the benefits of her platform should be also held accountable for their problematic behavior, yet she pretends to be oblivious to the concerns people raise, blocking them and deleting comments that questions her travels and maskless parties. Not to mention, having her friends do the dirty work of cyberbullying her critics while she posts about painting and caligraphy. Katy wants all the benefits of being an influencer with zero of the accountability. I’ve unfollowed and stopped consuming her content, and I encourage you to do the same.

I find it so disappointing to witness the lengths at which Katie has gone to hide her partying and hanging out with friends maskless in LA, where there are 0 ICU beds and the rules are that you’re not supposed to see anyone outside of you’re own household. grown out of this
overall I love katy. i think she’s carved out a nice place for herself on the internet, is a very hard worker and talented editor. however I’ve grown out of this podcast and her content in general I think she romanticizes to the extreme and her takeaways feel very tumblr-esque. she’s one of those people who constantly says she’s improving or “learning to love herself” but never actually is. whenever she says she’s making a breakthrough in her life, whether that’s romantically, emotionally, etc. I never actually believe her. a lot of her points/episodes ramble on the same topics but show no real growth. she’s very *main character* energy, which is sometimes lovely to witness and sometimes frankly irritating. on this podcast, sometimes it sounds like you’re listening to a girl who thinks she’s living in a movie. I feel like I’ve grown out of that and distancing myself from her content after many years has made me a wiser person however, i really admire her work ethic and her adherence to her own brand. sometimes it’s for me, sometimes it’s not. for personally, I think katy’s takes on things are feel good for me to wallow in but I find her attempts at coming up with real insight and growth pretty empty.

I just started listening to this podcast probably a month ago and I’m so happy I found it. I wasn’t aware that Katy had a podcast until now. I think it’s great content. I like crime podcast but sometimes I can’t listen to something scary, but I still like a good story and what better way than to learn history? I like that she’s able to relate to current issues and topics so it’s not too “7th grade U.S. history” type of deal. I always look forward to a brand new episode each week. Keep up the good work 😊

Privileged and can’t take accountability
I feel like she wants to be a role model so badly, but she never takes accountability for the things she does. She doesn’t social distance nor does she acknowledge her privilege. She uses tumblr as an outline of her life. I think she hasn’t caught up to her age.

Basic white girl
Holding on for dear life to hold on to her integrity, yet her complex of being left behind by her friends will have her do anything from break quarantene during a pandemic, to being a living version of a cliche quote. I think she has so much potential but won’t shed the social pressure until well into her 40s.

A New Perspective From an Influencer
Katy is entertaining and educational. Although she is an “influencer” she isn’t there stereotype (besides her recent move the LA hahahah). She has a very interesting perspective on the topics she chooses. I like that tries to incorporate some history into most of her episodes, I find it to be an interesting addition to the typical lifestyle/life update sort of podcast. Typically Katy talks about current events and adds in her life updates in that mix too. My one complaint is that she seems to have a pessimistic outlook on life and it comes through in the podcast. Overall though, I listen every week and I am always entertained.

katy needs to take a break
i’ve listened to almost every episode and sadly, it never gets better. there’s 2-3 ads every episode that aren’t even new; she records them and just inserts the same one in. she takes more time than necessary to get to key points, and even her main points are ripped off from tumblr. she tries to make everything seem woke, but there are few original thoughts. in this latest episode, she talks about taylor swift and talks about the pressure people are given to share everything. while i acknowledge that people can be pressured, i can assure you, no one cares about your photo at the local contemporary art museum or your avocado toast. let me make it clear, katy, that your wanting to share comes from within. if you want to take a break away from social media, do it. no one will be sad. they’ll be happy you’re focusing on yourself. i really want katy to succeed, but she’s been really hard to sympathize with lately. her move to california seems privileged, and she justifies it by saying she’s following her heart and therefore will not take any criticism. i wish her the best, but it’s so hard to continue consuming her content.

Everything about this screams nope and the lies / cover ups she has been doing to hide the fact she LIED about social distancing during covid-19 are gross. She refuses to take ACTUAL accountability. At least she can’t delete podcast reviews like she’s been deleting our ig/yt comments!

Major liar
Concocted an elaborate lie about not social distancing during the pandemic and only confessed to it after she got caught. This is a creepy, fake person.

Katy is a liar that manipulates her audience
well, katy has taken to deleting all non-glowing comments from her platforms so I guess I'll have to get my voice heard here. in case anyone hasn't been brought up to speed (wouldn't be surprising as katy has done everything she can to hide it), katy promoted travel during a pandemic, flew back to NYC, broke quarrantine by going to dinner after a big production on her IG story about cancelling a hair appointment, got caught, and crafted a convoluted cover-up involving fake IG stories posted by her friends. She made an apology video but hid that on her IGTV, promptly deleted any comments calling her out on her main IG feed, completely ignored the incident on her podcast (she pretended her social media break was a nice, voluntary little cleanse), and now is deleting any comments mentioning any of this on her IG and YouTube. Does that sound like a genuine person to you? It's clear that she only "apologized" because she got caught, and now is doing everything possible to keep the truth from her subscribers. Katy thinks she's living in a romantic comedy, and will apparently go to great lengths to not break this illusion. Oh and btw the actual podcast is an incoherent mess.

Accountability
Really wished Katy had addressed this week about breaking the mandatory NYC quarantine and, after being caught, made some huge convoluted lie to cover her tracks. When she was caught again in her lie that she made to try and cover up the fact that she went out with friends to a restaurant after being in CA, she posted an IG story owning up to it. On the podcast episode the week of July 24, she said she’s taking a break for her “mental health” and that she’s received mean messages. Katy, being held accountable for your actions which could’ve killed someone isn’t hate, and I hope you continue to look inward as to why you felt you needed to make that big lie, and involve your friends in that lie, instead of owning up initially.

Katy makes it feel effortless to learn about new, challenging topics that most people tip toe around. I love how she can be so honest, but also make you rethink things that you have learned in the past. immature
katy, i’m 16 and i’ve seen some episodes of sex and the city. i don’t understand why you want to emulate carrie bradshaw. she ruins every relationship by oversharing/petty fights, cannot commit, and ends up alone at the end of the series. i can’t listen to this podcast. you constantly bring up your “weird, nerdy” past and pop psychology. i don’t want to burst your bubble, but no one listening cares about your childhood. we care about now and the future. what would you like to do? who would you like to meet? what can you improve upon? how can you date/edit/etc. better? also please respect your friends on this podcast. gossiping to friends is fine, but not to the 30-50k listeners you supposedly get.

I started watching Katy Bellote when In my early teen years on youtube. Eventually I always loved her story telling and suprisingly about a year or two ago I found her podcast and fell in LOVE! I'm about to be 20 and a junior in college and this podcast is my favorite because it feels like I already know her. Keep up the good work Katy! <3 - Karime from Dallas Texas.

Repetitive
Please katy please please stop talking about how “creative” you are. Being creative is not a brand. There’s a difference between being a social media influencer and being an artist. She constantly talks about her “early signs of creativity” like they’re special, but every person I know (including myself) knitted and made their own covers for their planners when they were a kid. Having your mom bring you to an arts and crafts store doesnt make you creative. Also, please stop trying to play victim about being emotional/dramatic. Either own it or don’t base your podcast on it. Stop telling us about the prejudices of being emotional like we should feel bad for you. You are not a victim.

I adore Katy and this podcast. I stumbled upon her YouTube account when we were both in high school but after a few years just stopped watching YouTube videos all together. But in the last few months, I have rediscovered Katy’s Youtube and her podcast. We are both young 20-somethings trying to navigate life, and she is SO relatable. She is so wise and so passionate about what she does, and this podcast is a breath of fresh air. This is hands down my favorite podcast... no competition. And I listen to a lot of them. Thank you Katy for being so raw, vulnerable, honest and relatable! I’m currently in the process of binge-watching old episodes, and I get excited every time a new one pops up! 💗

A Must Listen For 20 Something’s
After listening to Katy being featured on the ‘What We Said’ podcast I decided to start following ‘Thick and Thin’. As a woman in her 20’s trying to just figure out life in a city with a 9-5 also aspiring to be creative - this is simply the best podcast to listen to. She is so inspiring and always just gives you that little pep is talk that’s needed when you’re feeling unsure or a little uninspired. She’s down to earth, realistic, and raw.

Listening to a Friend
Katy’s podcast feels like you are catching up with your best friend after not seeing them for a few months. The indescribable comfort I feel when I listen to her podcast inspires me on my most unmotivated days. This podcast is so incredibly relatable to me. The ways she dives into topics and breaks them down into smaller pieces that I can easily swallow has been the helping voice that I yearn for on a hard day. I would recommend this podcast to any young individual trying to do their best everyday to charge closer to their dreams. Grab a pen and paper to jot down some inspiring excerpts and quotes from her podcast. -Anne from SF

Wanting more
I’ve been a huge fan of Katy’s for a long time now. When she first released the podcast I listened as soon as a new episode dropped. More so now I feel as though all the episodes cover generally the same concepts. Lack of love, trying to fit in, boy issues, etc. Of course these issues addressed are relatable but it’s troubling when I know Katy has so much more potential than she puts herself out to have. She’s a great speaker and incredibly intelligent but I wish she would cover some more complex topics and to not be afraid to branch out. Her episodes on femininity and influencers were great takes on what I think she is capable of and when she used to include history lessons and wrap it into something more relevant. Recently I feel like the episodes are rushed, reoccurring, and ramble on more than I’d like and I wish we could see more of Katy’s potential.

Truly love this one!
This podcast makes my commute so much more entertaining, or useful, rather. Thoughts like, “I’ve totally been there,” “Ehhh, I wouldn’t really put it that way,” “Hang in there, it gets better,” or “I’ve never even thought about that!” Regardless, she makes it seem like she’s right there, someone who isn’t judgmental and is really thinking about life and looking introspectively. I definitely love this as a way to provoke thought in a way I probably wouldn’t have before.

Underwhelmed
It’s really a bummer because this girl has a lot of potential to be a great public speaker, because she has so much confidence. However, every single episode somehow ends up being about petty relationship drama or just how something else is negative. Yes she’s raw and real, but the focus needs to shift somewhere else. It’s so draining listening to the same complaining. I was hoping for so much more.

Constant negativity just brings me down.
If you want to listen to a young woman complaining about her lack of love life in every episode, this podcast is just for you. Katy might have some potential in podcasting, but constant rambling and complaining just drains me, which is the opposite of what I want to do, while listening to a podcast. Sorry, just don’t get the hype🤭

Wish I could write a better review
I wish I could write a better review because I feel like Katy has a lot of potential. She has her heart in the right place but I just can’t stand her podcasting - she is super all over the place, and I feel like it’s more rambles with the occasional 5 minutes of something great. A lot of her advice is her reading other people’s quotes, but I don’t understand how that’s HER giving advice? Also it seems like everything results back to this core issue of her being unhappy. With society, with boys, with her love life, with how her friends can sometimes act and with her job. It just sort of brings me down.

Katy, you’re my idol!!!
I LOVE this podcast! She is so smart, and so relatable but not in an annoying millennial instagramable “basic” relatable way. She is so relatable in that when I listen to this podcast, I just realize so many things that I also do or feel or fear or whatever and didn’t know how to put it into words or even begin to describe and she does SUCH a good job stringing sentences together beautifully and perfectly saying exactly the point she is trying to get across. And just really putting it all out there in the best way that it could have been done. This is my favorite podcast!!!!!!! She has said before something along the lines of that she doesn’t want people to feel “alone” in what they’re feeling and I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS. Bc I don’t feel alone anymore, and I do many of the things she says and I’m not crazy or the only one. I’m so thankful she has shed the light with her amazing way with words on problems that MATTER and things that no one else talks about. This podcast is exactly what I didn’t know that I needed in my life ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😭😭😭

Katy is a modern day philosopher
I’ve had the true joy and honor of watching Katy on YouTube for many years now and was super excited when she started to consider beginning a podcast. This podcast is wonderful. Katy has this unique way of sharing her heart and thoughts with wisdom and frankness beyond our young millennial years. She’s an influencer, great at Instagram, yes — but also a sort of gorgeous philosopher in the age of Starbucks and Tinder not afraid to “go there” even if she feels like she’s crazy and the only one (she’s not and she never is). I can’t wait to witness her growth in career and life! Really thankful for this podcast and always always wishing her the best! Would recommend to anyone!

I’ve loved Katy’s YouTube channel for so long. I know all of her stories, inspiring quotes, and favorite things to do & wear. Listening to Katy is like getting advice from the older sister I never had (I’m 19). What an amazing story teller she is! I know I can always come to this podcast for advice and entertainment ❤️

Okay y’all to start with, 20/10 recommend this podcast. I love how unfiltered and raw it is. No cuts, no commercials, no sponsorships. I can literally imagine Katy in her apartment watching the cars and taxis go by and sipping on a glass of wine. It’s so awesome! I have followed Katy on YouTube since the beginning, I have always loved Katy. I could literally listen to her talk all day, her voice and her vocabulary is like no other! Anyways, it’s awesome. Love this podcast
Katy I love your voice I could listen to you talk all day! Honeslty you could make this an hour long and I would be happy with that! It’s like your so relatable to me in some ways but also not I’m 22 and I’m a Virgin haven’t had first kiss yet either! You do help me with a lot. I am on dating apps too but I feel like I am rushing it and not ready for a relationship. But I totally understands I just want to be in a relationship already it seems like all my friends are happy and have boyfriends except me.
