8 steps to create a show-stopping Bio for your children’s activity business!
The Wootzoo podcast show
Hello, what are my first VLOG, so this is going to be a series of helpful tips to get a better social media presence and profile across.
So if you're struggling to attract new customers or you're struggling to write anything, you have a couple of steps that should hopefully help you to create a more compelling description in your business.
Number one, think about exactly who you were trying to attract and be really clear about this in your first open sentence.
Try to leave the parents thinking, you know, this is the perfect class or description for me, try to really connect with them.
For example, you can say, if you're doing some kind of arts or crafts activity, like leave the mess with us.
Yes, we'll tidy up, don't need to bring your own aprons, we've got that covered.
Number two is an extension of number one, where you're trying to empathize with problems that parents might have.
So for example, if you've run a karate class or some kind of martial arts or something, you can say in the description that this will help build your child's confidence.
They'll help them make new friends. So if you've got a parent who's, you know, a bit worried about their child's class or sleep or confidence or whatever.
If you can put that again in the description somewhere, that's really going to connect with parents, you know, problems that they find with their child or things they want to help their child with.
Number three focus on the benefits and not just the features of the activity, what children will gain from joining or taking part in your activity.
A good example of this would be to say that all I coach the first aid trained, so you know they're going to be in safe hands or we provide snacks at half times.
So don't worry about packing the package for them. So this is a formula on how to kind of hit those points. So what your class offers is the feature and the benefit is why the parent should care.
What makes sense? If not, I mean now we'll help you with that.
Number four, if there's specific questions that you always get asked every time you talk about your activity to people, put those in your bio because that will like overcome any potential objections for people signing up.
So if people are asking what do we do if it's raining, just putting them, you know, bring a Mac or whatever your answer is to that.
So put that into the bio and that should increase signups and conversions, hopefully.
Number five, reading your bio could be the first point of contact between you and new customers.
So run what you've written through a spell checker, maybe much of word or on an Apple Mac they have pages, you can run spell checkers on or even on Google.
And there's like on those spell checkers because other grammatical errors and experiments states might not seem like a big thing.
But if it's the first point of contact that you have with your customers and you've made some basic errors, it's not going to look great.
And it could potentially put people off.
That's something, you know, to read over your bio, a second pair of eyes could often pick up, small mistakes that we often miss.
You know, just the basic grammatical errors or spell mistakes or this word that spell checkers sometimes don't pick up.
Just, you know, someone to read over it and they can offer some input on how the message comes over.
We offer a free copywriter service to our premium customers.
So if you want to make use of that, just send us an email, hello at ww2.com and we'll get our team to read over and offer some suggestions on your right app.
Okay, number seven, a great way to increase conversions is if you offer a free trial or taste the session or discount, put that really high up in your description.
Because that will almost guarantee to increase circumvisions. No one's going to turn down a free session of your great activities.
So instead of, you know, people wanted to sign up for a term where they're going to paste them like maybe a hundred pounds.
If you're for a free session, first of all, discount a session, that's really going to give them a taste there.
And they'll more than like a sound to that and then that could convert that into a full term subscription for you.
Okay, number eight, lastly is to make sure that you put all the logistical information into the description.
So where people need to be and what time, where they can stay, where they can watch from, what clothes need to bring.
Start time, just all this, the standard information to stop the back and forth messages which will take up your time.
Okay, so the steps should help you create a show stop in children's activity.
