- The Women Fashion-Preneur Aug 29 · 13m Fashion As A Professional Business or CareerThere is a Yoruba proverb that says : How you call your calabash is how people will call it for you. If you call it a soap calabash, they will use it to carry soap or call it and if you call it a locust bean calabash, the same will happen. It is the same with your fashion business, How you position or present it is how it will be addressed. Don't leave being professional to other businesses or because your business is still small. No matter how small your business is and even if you are planning growth, it shouldn't stop you from doing things right. Enjoy Listening and remember to reach out to me for advice, consultation, or feedback. I will also like to know where any of my episodes give you a light bulb or where it affects you positively. - COMPETENCIES Part 1My industry friend and accountability partner Nneamaka Nwafor of Makay Embelishments once said "The fact that you are doing something over and over again for over 5 or 10 years doesn't not mean you are doing the right thing. You may unknowingly be wrong". Hence the need for continuous improvement of knowledge and skills. This episode is about Competencies. It started with 2 minutes of talking about two people with mindset issues that affect how people see them, then I explained being competent, competence, and competency. This and the next episode are about 4 types of competency and this episode is for the 1st 2. This episode is about Being unconsciously incompetent and being consciously incompetent.
