Welcome back to the show if you are a first-time listener. Hello. I am so glad that you're here. And I wanted to share a review of the show. Wait a minute you haven't left a review yet. Well, here's what K 0606 said about the show. Every episode is full of great wisdom and info be ready to take notes. While you listen, Michelle is an expert in her field and a great interview. That is so sweet. I so appreciate you for taking a hot minute to go into iTunes and leave a review. All right, well, today is all about the mighty pixel and why it's so important in all the amazing things that it can do for you. And I consistently get all kinds of questions about this pixel. So I thought it would be appropriate to dedicate an entire episode. It's an epic song. So let's start off with what a pixel is will a Facebook, pixel is a piece of code installed on your website or your landing pages to track site engagement, right?
Then there it gathers data that allows you to create new audiences and reconnect with customers. Now when someone visits your website of your landing page and takes an action for example with an opt-in or buy something, the Facebook pixel is triggered and reports this action. This way you'll know when a customer took an action. After seeing your Facebook at you also be able to reach this customer again by using a custom audience when more and more conversion event happens on your website or landing pages, Facebook gets a better like they get better and better at, delivering your ads. To people who are more likely to take specific actions. This is called conversion optimization.
So the next question I always get asked, is why is the pixel so important and the Facebook pixel data helps ensure your ads are seen by the people who are most likely to take your desired action. This allows you to improve your Facebook ad conversion rate and even better, I get a better Roi, right? So even if you're not using Facebook or Instagram ads yet you should install your Facebook pixel right now since the pixel is not retroactive this will allow you to start Gathering the data. So when you're ready to run your Facebook or Instagram ads, you already have that pixel starting to build right? And have some data already in there. Now, how many pixels should you have? This is a big one and the short answer is you could create many pixels. However, I don't suggest you do that because then you have to remember which pixel is For What and it just creates this whole hot.
And you typically only need one Facebook pics out for your business. The only time I ever suggest that you have two pixels. Let's say, is if you have two totally different ideal customer avatars, right? And that would perch two, totally different products because the idea of the pixel is to train it to look for your perfect person. So if you're training it to look for one audience of particular interest or behaviors, then when you go to Target, a totally different audience, the pixels already trained for the other and then you won't be targeting your ideal customer for product number to, okay? So what does the pixel collect? Well, all kinds of good stuff, right? People who are on landing pages or your website or specific pages of it, right, people who are watching videos people who are willing to give their emails and exchange for Value people who are engaged with your pet.
Those people who are buyers, like there's so much more but you get the idea what I'm talkin about. Here's the thing. If you were sending traffic to your website or any landing page, the Facebook pixel is the difference between success and failure in K. The Facebook pixel is so powerful that it allows you to build these custom audiences of people who land on specific Pages. It allows you to create audiences of people that have taken those specific actions such as became a lead, or maybe became a buyer right to exclude them from retargeting, which saves you money and stops your leads and customers from getting annoyed, right? It's like, dude, I already bought this. Why you keep putting this out in front of me. Same thing to email. Nurture, sequence BTW. If you have any way to filter out a specific tag, that is one thing that really gets me, it's like I didn't, you know, it doesn't make me feel so
Show that you keep sending me emails to buy when I've already bought something. Okay? I was just a side note. So with the pixel, it will allow you to build strategic ads around your frontal process. Meaning your warm audience where they are at in your funnel know, another reason that you should have your Facebook pixel setup is, you can also create lookalike audiences of custom audiences that you set up, we just a simple click of a button. I mean, it's that fast the pixel base look-alikes will dynamically update over time. So they will always be relevant when you're using them Nicole traffic. Now tracking the number of conversions of who signed up for your webinar, Challenger opted into your lead, mine at this is crucial with your pic so you'll be able to do that. If you have it at a properly,
Also, Revenue reporting most fun forms that can pass the actual order back to Facebook, which allows you to measure your return on ad spend. Another reason is that you can optimize for conversions. Now I don't know if you all ever heard of as ADD espresso, which I'm not like an advocating for it. I just read that they did it. $1,000 experiment, showing that optimizing for link clicks cost 3.4 times more per conversion. Then when optimizing for conversions alone. So simply put the pixel allows you to get the same results for $1,000 that you would get by spending $3,400 on and when not using a pixel, right? Everybody wants their bottom light. So if that doesn't convince you to put your picks on everything, I don't know what will
Dynamic product ads. Can also be created, allowing you to retarget recent website. Visitors with the exact products that they viewed. I'm sure you've all seen that, like, you see a pair of shoes or the other day, I was shopping for new sheets and the sheets showed up everywhere, that is the power of the pixel. Right now, I mentioned earlier that the pixel will only connect to data once installed there forward not backwards, right? So when you're creating the custom audiences the time frame for those is up to 180 days. So if you install the pixel now it could still be helping your Facebook advertising, six months down the line. Now, even with the recent changes that gives users more control over their Data Tracking or I'd like I'm talking about the iOS changes where people have the option to opt out. The pixel is still an invaluable tool that all businesses should be.
Is it you can still gain information from it especially since plenty of users don't have data collection disabled. Okay, I know for me, this is something that I've been kind of telling everybody. I know that when it comes to these user privacy and I just saw on an actual commercial on TV, basically, even if they choose to opt out, they are still going to see ads in their news feed, right? So even though they do that, these ads are not going to be adds that maybe pertain to them based on their interest in Behavior. So, it might be something totally annoying, right? And maybe that's you, maybe you've turned on your privacy and I'm curious to see if you still have been seeing ads and you're like, wait I would rather see an ad that could possibly solve a problem that I have versus something that I don't write. So how to run more successful ad campaigns.
I think about it, if let's say I have an issue, I don't know. I'm Facebook cats right in. This is what my main problem is when I rather see like how to run more successful ad campaigns, then like a foot, right? Where I maybe I don't have a problem with my feet anyway. Facebook can't fully optimized your campaigns without information coming from the pixel. So installing it correctly, adding your data with the Facebook conversion ads API and letting Facebook do the rest is definitely the way to go. All right, so there you have it, 7 reasons, why you should pixel everything cheers to building your Mighty pixel. I hope you enjoyed the show.
