Great podcast and community

I have been listening for around a year now (I think?) and I honestly love the show and especially the community in the discord. The hosts (KC and JV) are friendly, calm, and just nice to listen to. Topics are interesting and the conversation is lively. As for the community (specifically in the discord) it is wonderful. Everyone is nice and great to talk to, and there being so many people in the discord there are always people to play games with or just chat with. Over all 15/5 podcast, highly recommend, is worth your time and has a wonderful community.

Love this podcast!!

This is one of my favorite podcasts! I’ve tried a few of the other gaming podcasts but you don’t get the enthusiasm or overall general knowledge KC and JV have of the publishers, developers and genre of the topics they talk about. If you enjoyed games as a kid and still dabble when you get time to pick up a controller then I highly recommend this podcast. Weekly releases and games that are spotlighted and discussed help me sift through what I want to add to my personal collection. I listen to this podcast during my workday so “thank you” to these guys for making my day go by a little faster. CHECK THEM OUT!

Love this show.

This is a great show. KC and JV are hilarious and their genuine excitement for all things Switch is very refreshing. Even the simplest games seem to bring them joy and they bring that joy to us through the podcast and the amazing community that has grown around it. I use them to help me decide what games to buy, and the discord to connect with other people playing those games. In my day to day life I’m the only person I know who has a switch, so it’s great to have a community and podcast that lets me connect to other switch players around the world. Thank you, Switchcast!

An Excellent Balance

It’s just a nice and fun podcast!- me and every grandma (probably)

Look, there’s a lot of bad things happening out there in the world, and there’s a lot of people putting out negativity because you don’t like the same things, so when you find a podcast that sounds like the hosts genuinely smile as they talk, it’s something to take note of. JV And KC consistently bring warmth, happiness, and shared love of gaming and nerdery every week. There are many podcasts that talk about news and reviews, but not many actively engage their community with so many competitions and meet ups as this one does. Certain episodes of special note are the Christmas episodes with the fireside chat, and the April Fools Day episode- I’m still bitter about it not being a real thing

Please add Timestamps!

Overall the podcast is pretty good. I like listening to the cast. My only negative is that there is no Time stamp of when they talk about different topics. Sometimes I just want to skip the introduction and common talk and listen to the main topic of the podcast. It’s a personal preference but I see other gaming podcast have time stamps and it really helps.

A Great Switch Community

I was looking for tips/game recommendations and I stumbled on this podcast. It caught my attention because it is geared towards Switch specifically. I listened to a few podcasts and I was hooked. I even went back and listened to almost every episode (have about 2 remaining). KC and JV are awesome guys who give great advice/opinions on everything Switch related. Very enjoyable podcast with a fun to listen to host

I known KC for sometime now, I believe back when he was doing more Pokemon meetups and podcasts, but he really made a mark on himself with his Switchcast podcast. Even before the Switch came out, the Switchcast podcast is very enjoyable to switch down and listen to while on your commute home, studying, taking your daily shower in the morning, you know your usual routine They start the show with reviews, and usually KC would of course review the big name titles, but he's known for reviewing the more obscure games as well. Just recently, he reviewed an addicting multiplayer game call SpiritSphere DX. Follow that up with news, upcoming games and release dates, and basically a "OH GOD I WISH THIS GAME COMES ON THE SWITCH PLEASE PLEASE" segment (it's not call that trust me) While I haven't meant JV himself yet, I have met KC in the past, thanks to his monthly Switchfest that he throws the first Thursday of the month down at Rocafeller (previously at the Citifield area) and they both seem like very enjoyableable people. You can tell by their voice and attitude that they both enjoy the company of their fans, and they enjoyable playing whatever new game is out, or just chat about almost anything. All in all, I reccomend The SwitchCast, unlike the Nintendo Power podcast, these guys upload on a weekly basis, have a Discord chat full of endearing people, and they are always up to date on Nintendo Switch news and updates The SwitchCast gets an Applejack, out of ten

A Weekly Staple

I didn't realize how much I needed this show in my weekly routine until they took one week off (their first in the past 1.5 years I've been listening). KC and JV bring in relevant discussions about all that's going on in the Nintendo Switch world, and they get some great interviews with the developers, asking not just the usual questions about their games, but they talk about the culture of gaming and where the Switch is going in the future. By the end, I feel like I know more about the people behind these titles. I love it! I actually signed up to support them on Patreon, because they do so much to keep the good times rolling with the most active and welcoming Discord community, tournaments, and prizes that rain from the sky if you participate!

As close to perfect as I could hope for

Do you love gaming? Do you have a switch? Are you a fan of Nintendo and their sometimes bizarre business decisions? If the answer to any of these questions is yes, you should be a subscriber to Switch Cast. The two gentlemen who create this podcast are dedicated to putting out new shows consistently and frequently. But is it good? Yes, yes, yes. This show runs the gamut from old games to new games to accessories, kickstarters and gaming history. It is entertaining, informative, amusing and sometimes surprising and revealing. The hosts put in 100% in every show and I appreciate that greatly. They are insightful and knowledgable and often help to open my mind to games I would not otherwise consider. They are also very helpful in easing the pain of waiting for the game that I bought the switch for, Fire Emblem (not the Dynasty wars clone either, I am disgusted that Nintendo foisted that on us as if it would supplant the release of a real fire emblem game). Uncommonly Mature (But Still FUN)

Lots of video game podcasts are just a little too full of “man-child pride” on one end, and little too “lewd gamer troll” on the other. But KC & JV are actually pretty stable and likable adults who know how to embrace all the fun of the Nintendo Switch, without being total dorks about it. And I don’t know what alchemy they used to pull this off, but they’ve managed to build a whole community of Nintendo fans that are completely on the same page. It’s amazing! Can’t recommend listening enough!

Entertaining, Informative, and Charming

JV & KC are really fun and engaging. They're on top of the release schedule for the Nintendo Switch, sometimes moreso then mainstream gaming journalists. Plus their Discord community really feels like a community, where everyone is engaged. In a day and age where Twitch and YouTube just feels like outright hate, the SwitchCast feels like what the internet was in the past: Friendly, informative, and ready to jump and help you at a moment's notice.

Clean and Respectful!

I’ve only listened to a few of the podcasts but I have very much enjoyed what I have heard! One Stop for the Swith News You Need

The Nintendo Switch has taken the world by storm, and with good reason. With that comes a lot of us who come to the console knowing that Mario and Zelda are great, but definitely need help determining what is worth playing beyond those standards. The SwitchCast is, bar none, the best place to get that information. The two hosts are clearly passionate and engaged without wandering into the fanboy bias. Additionally, their clear, concise and often humorous discussion quickly makes this the best podcast available for getting your weekly fix of Switch news and reviews. I find myself looking forward to closing each week's commute with the help I need in determining what my hard-earned dollars are going to when it comes to my gaming budget.

Cool show guys

Hey just started listening to your pod cast and very informative and interesting. The way you describe games you are interesting and neat the way may or may not recommend the game. If I could in this review ask a question or two. What is the big hype over Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and skyrim. Xenoblade life looks cool but skyrim to me is exactly like BOTW. Also I am not one to buy a game every time one comes out or I be broke for instance I waited for my Bday to get doom and Nba for gifts. Also not big on digital games because of memory issue with switch however i did buy NBA digital because it was 20 dollars off. Sorry long winded but question is with the holiday coming up is your opinion if lego marvel super heroes 2 big marvel fan but never played leg game (40 years ) last marvel played was ultimate alliance for original wii and xbox. Other game is what is your opinion on arms. I did get doom never played before as awesome game. Do plan on picking up residential evil collections love those game. I left the gaming world 6 years ago when world of Warcraft was takin over my life I vowed never to play video games again then I learned about the switch and how you could take it anywhere I thought it would be great to play on breaks at work when out getting a coffee and so on turns out I was right and now back to this podcast which keeps me up to date on what to buy and what not to waste the money on I haven’t missed an episode since buying the switch thanks guys!

It is exactly what it says it is; a podcast dedicated to the Nintendo Switch. The hosts do a fantastic job talking about, and reporting on the switch. The podcast is always a lot of fun! Even when the recently released switch content wasn’t particularly good, they make a great show out of it anyway. The switchcast sails me through my slightly more mundane work days at a terrific pace. Give them a listen, and if you make any money at all, support them a bit. They deserve it.

This is “MY Nintendo SwitchCast”

Ok let me start off by saying that I listen to about 5 different Nintendo related podcasts, so I feel very confident in saying that this is exactly the perfect podcast! It gives two separate point of views that often enough differ which tells you they are not simply “fanboys”. Also it’s not about wether a game is simply good or bad but about who it can appeal to which makes me feel better about not wanting to play a “good” game. These guys are fun!

A lot of podcasts feature unenthusiastic people who are just doing a job, but these two guys are obviously huge fans of the Switch while also producing a high-quality podcast. I listen to several different video game podcasts, and these guys are my favorite. I have a quick request: I often do other things when I'm listening to the podcast and sometimes I'm not paying attention when you mention the name of the game you're discussing at the moment. Then I start paying attention to the review but I don't know what game you're talking about. I know you'd just be compensating for me not paying full attention, but could you repeat the name of the game when you're done talking about it? Thanks guys! I appreciate it!

This is the "go-to" podcast for all Switch news!

I absolutely love the Switchcast! KC and JV do a phenomenal job of discussing new games, Switch news, hosting fun tournaments, and much more. One of my favorite things about the podcast is that it is FAMILY FRIENDLY!! I really love that they are professional and clean with their language. This is one of the main reasons I listen to this podcast over others. I highly recommend this podcast. Way to go guys!

A delightful duo

These two guys produce my favorite Nintendo Podcast. They are always positive but honest in their reviews and coverage. Their coverage is broad but they avoid lingering on topics longer than is necessary and keep the run time of the podcast to about an hour, which is perfect. The Chemistry between the hosts is good. They have different interests and preferences when it comes to games, so listeners will get a couple different points of view.

Top shelf gaming podcast with some most excellent hosts. If you stop right at the podcast you will be left with up to date information on all things Switch and nice and informed conversations. My favorite Nintendo podcast

The podcast has everything you need to know about the switch! KC and JV are extremely fun and entertaining to listen to. This and NVC and easily the best Nintendo podcast out there. Whereas NVC talks about the 3Ds quite a bit The Switchcast stays a bit more focused on the switch.

Top Nintendo Switch Podcast

KC outdoes himself by producing a very entertaining and "down-to-earth" Nintendo Switch podcast with all the production values you'd expect from a long-running product. Chances are KC and JV are a lot like you, which makes them so listenable (that and KC's great east coast accent) - there's no pretension in their coverage of the Switch and it's games and they don't proclaim to be "experts". However, don't mistake that for rookie analysis - these guys are true gamers. They aren't the outlandish streamers, the PC Master Race tripe from 733T5 speaking noobs, they are throw-backs to the kind of fans you and friends have been of getting together and playing and talking video games. Good guys. Great show. Worthy of your support and weekly listen.

Excellent Switch podcast. I've been following it since January. KC & JV provide good, in-depth information on Switch news, events, updates, accessories and games. I've tried listening to other Switch podcasts, but I like the rapport and banter these guys have. Not to mention, they have good podcast voices. Keep up the good work, guys! Looking forward to future episodes. Oh, and the intro & intermission themes are catchy too.

Best Nintendo podcast around

I have been listening for about a month now, and I am writing this review one week before the Switch release. This podcast is professionally produced with two friendly, great personalities. They are doing a great analysis of all the current Nintendo news and speculation. Not a bunch of fanboysim either, it's pretty unbiased although both of them fit the use case for the Switch very well. This has done well to excite me and inform me on the Switch and upcoming games.

The Best Nintendo Switch Podcast

Went back and listened to all the episodes cause I didn't want to miss a thing. The show centers around the new Nintendo Switch console to be released in early 2017. These guys talk about every possible aspect related to news, spec details, games and all the history surrounding this potentially game changing device from the "big N". They also vet and report all the rumors in an engaging discussion format while incorporating listener feedback. I'm aware that I may be sounding overly positive in this review but that's not only cause I mean it, it's because I really hope you subscribe and listen so that they continue to bring their A-game to Nintendo Switch reporting.

Couldn't ask for more!

Very professional. The speakers are well informed on the topics they discuss, and they're not afraid to have their opinions but are also level-headed in how they present them. I listened for hours while working, and everything I heard was interesting, but not so distracting that I couldn't get anything done. I was met with discussion that gave me food for thought (great for me since I love thinking about design) and new info I wasn't familiar with (great for me being someone excited for the Switch). And being someone who favors family friendly content, I seriously appreciate how clean the discussions are! Can't wait for more!

One of the best places to go for the latest info and commentary on anything Nintendo, I started listening to the pocket players when I was playing Pokémon go and I have not regretted it. The best part is there Discord channel, which they welcome and treat everyone like equals.
