Enthusiasm in my ears
When the content that the Ringerfolks cover is excellent, so is the podcast. Andor, Loki, Mandalorian. But when their enthusiasm for genre tv, movies, and print wanes it can sometimes be a tough hang. Boba Fett, Kenobi, Moon Knight.

when you need to know : hot thrawn is realz
ive got no shame: i first heard my inner chiss confirmed when the ringer described the thrawn intro in rebels and mal, "id do his zumba class" too. b4 this show i thought "what if i have a weird tendency to like blue skined humanoids because i overanalyze superhero and sci fi movies?" wasnit the art drgree? a long commute that leads to selecting long deep ... podcasts ... (that was an accidental description that fits the tone of the show)regardless... its validating that what i think is something other people do, too, and thats a good healing thing : listening to the show keeps me interested, alert, and happy so i hope many people get a few episodes and enjoy a few hours of deep DEEP! dives

Absolutely love this podcast! Used to listen to Mal and Jason for their HP and Star Wars content. Now really love listening to Mal and Jo!! Honestly I love the 3 hour podcasts 😂 from HotD to Star Wars and everything in between. Keep going forever and always

My favorite Ringer podcast
Van, Charles, Jomi, and Steve are masters of banter and create a fun dynamic that lets me turn my brain off. In contrast to some of the other Ringer pop culture podcasts, this one feels wholly unpretentious. Furthermore, the hosts all feel relatable to someone who is not White GenX or doesn’t have GenX cultural proclivities.

Sharp as Razors
Jo and Mal are bar raisers for all things fantasy, nerd and pop culture but more importantly The Ringer universe of podcasts- no one is more prepared or knowledgeable than these two fine people- true ninjas with Hot D, GOT and LOTR content. Great listens every week like most ringer podcasts- incredible to have Jo on the ringer team!

Thank you House of R!
I have so many tidbits I can add to the conversation thanks to Mel and Jo! I don’t think I could manage Star Wars or Marvel with out them! Love their enthusiasm and extensive knowledge on these subjects.

Best podcast on HOTD, thank you for listening to feedback
Jo & Mal have incredibly insightful commentary & in-depth knowledge of anything they talk about - honestly miles above pretty much any other podcaster even on popular topics like Game of Thrones / House of the Dragon. Their 3-hour plus deep dives in HOTD are my favorite (and the only time I’ll even entertain listening to podcast this long). I SUPER appreciate Mal’s being much more mindful of her laugh in recent episodes. I felt bad critiquing it but it honestly it was grating given it’s a podcast. Now that she’s being mindful of it, I can truly 100% enjoy their conversations

Great Pod
Love the Ringer Verse podcast. Midnight Boys, House of R and Mint Edition are all very fun pods that I enjoy listening to. My one complaint is the deep dives have really gotten too long. I like the deep dive and hearing more of the details or deeper thoughts, but 3 hours of it for every episode of a show is a lot. I've started skipping them because of that. Love Mal and Jo, and hope they can get back closer to 2 hours.

Coverage of the Willow show made my heart drop
I have listened to a lot of Ringer podcasts and have enjoyed them a lot so when I saw there was coverage of the Willow show I excitedly finished watching the second episode and jumped into the podcast. I started to feel sad pretty early on when I heard the consensus from the hosts that the wonderful show that I had just thoroughly enjoyed from beginning to end was just “good enough”?? Then, more complaints like Willow showed up too late, wasn’t powerful enough and that the reveal of Elora Danan was poorly done and predictable (not for me, I LOVED it). But the point when my heart dropped so much that I couldn’t listen any further is when it was said that the characters should be devoid of pluck. Well, pluckiness was one of the characteristics that I loved the most about the show so when I heard that was being presented as a complaint against the show along with vulgar words spewing on top of that, I realized there’s no point in letting this show drag me down anymore, full stop on listening to Ringer coverage of Willow. Uncharacteristic of Ringer’s normally very enjoyable content. I don’t mind some negative comments sprinkled in about a show I’m watching, I sometimes have them myself, but these criticisms felt like they crossed the line, seemed mostly unjustified and verging on toxic. Maybe someone who doesn’t like plucky should not be assigned to cover a show like Willow which has at its roots one of my favorite plucky characters of all time, Val Kilmer as Madmartigan. I’m just saying… something to think about for Ringer going forward.

Everyone but Jo is a 5.
I’m ok with everything except Joanna’s inability to not comment on stuff that hasn’t been released. Midnight Boys, Mint Edition, and Mal are SO good at respecting keeping it to what is out there in the shows and love the banter across the board! Joanna is the one that seems like she wants to show she knows more than you due to her access and continually referencing things in screeners or other industry material. If it is a podcast stream for those who want to know everything, cool and just not my thing. But to have only one person not on the same page….just rough. Will continue to avoid her content but listen to others.

Political references make me love reading reviews
Every tiny Trump or even reference to maga. You see reviews that say to stay away from politics. It’s funny how trumpy zombies know how pathetic they are but they ask that you stop reminding them they are going to vote to take mom’s social security away no matter how much you laugh at them. Great pod, Mal is Lebron no matter how over the top

House of R - Ladies Rule!
Mal and Jo - a fantastic duo who give the most in depth breakdown of anything Harry Potter (Mal and Jay), Star Wars, Game Of Thrones, Marvel and all related universes and canon (yes they like a wide canon). Expect spoilers, some spicy conversations about Han Solo and Timothy Oliphant, and cross references to all of the above. These ladies are nerdy and fantastic and manage to talk for two hours about a half hour episode of anything! Midnight Boys- a great group of guys who bring unique perspectives and manage to not become a sausage fest or perverted 13 year old boys! I appreciate that Van and Jomi bring their perspectives as men of color and I always learn something new.

Joanna vs Amanda. Everyone wins.
I adore the Ringer. They talk about everything I care about. My problem is Joanna Robinson and Amanda Dobbins are battling for my favorite female podcaster. Normally I wouldn’t qualify genders but Chris Ryan is pretty much my favorite podcater period. Joanna knows so much about my favorite nerdoms and says it so drolly, and Amanda is so funny and mean and I feel like I’m yelling at Sean when she is yelling at Sean. I am both of them and can’t possibly decide who is the better podcaster. Thank you The Ringer! Also, Van, stop being so mean to Jomi and Charles. Let them have their own opinions🤣

Amazing. I love Mal and Jo so much 💕
Long time listener, first time reviewer (caller); I love, love, love the dynamic and recaps from Mal and Jo. Feels like joining two old friends in a cozy pub to talk about all our favorite stories in the most in-depth and relatable way. Warm blanket type vibes. I just love it so much and these two incredibly smart, talented and entertaining ladies deserve all the accolades because their conversations are the ones that make me excited to open my podcast app in a time when all my news subscriptions make me feel hollow and depressed. Their recaps make me feel whole again and constantly keep me smiling.

Not Binge Mode but it’s something
If Mallory is talking I’ll always listen she’s the best. The Midnight boys are good for the most part although they constantly talk about politics which is fine when it calls for it but it gets out of hand sometimes. Would be better if Mal and Van just did a once a week show IMO. Long live Queen Mal. Joanna can kick rocks

Slowly losing me
My least favorite GoT podcast was on Binge Mode. The jokes were repetitive, with bad impersonations, and incessant laughing. When these two new fantasy series started, I was intrigued because Johanna was someone I used to listen to on another podcast with David Chen. It was really disappointing to see Johanna convert to the Binge Mode model: sound effects, lame impersonations, and incessant laugher at jokes that are repetitive and not really funny. I’ll stick to Johanna’s old network for HotD material.

Rings of Power Shows Rule Them All
Listening to Jo and Mallory on the Rings of Power recap/theorizing shows has been a joy. Their love and knowledge of Tolkien shines through and resonates (shout out to Disa) with the listener. The discussion, thoughtfulness, and enthusiasm take me back to my favorite English classrooms/teachers (and I mean that in a very very positive way)! Thank you for the incredible and engaging coverage and for inspiring me to re-read the texts that I fell in love with as a kid. Each page I read now seems to have new meaning and deepens my love for Tolkien’s world. Thank you again.

Keep it about the show
Hosts did a great job staying out of politics when they could’ve all season until this last episode. No reason to bring up politics in any capacity, sadly will no longer be listening. Stick to the show, don’t bring up something people are dividend over for honestly no good reason.

Finally some Andor
It’s absurd how much time the RingerVerse feed is devoting to the House of Dragon show at the expense of other shows that are flat out better. Andor is absolutely fantastic and Mal and Jo finally get to talking about it after episode seven. Then there’s the LOTR and She-Hulk shows, both of which were great and got nary a mention out of the RV main contributors. What a joke.

Raven/Crow Sound Effect HOTD
I came here because of Joanna Robinson, who is beyond brilliant. Idk if I’m just on edge because of Post-Pandemic PTSD, but I cannot stand the raven sound effects. It scares me to absolute death each time. Especially when wearing headphones. It’s unnecessary loud. It’s equivalent to a really loud commercial during a show you’re incredibly interested in. It rips me out every time and I don’t think my anxiety can take it. I’m sure I’ll be dragging for daring to say anything, however, I wonder if there might be other listeners like me, who hate the ever-loving ish out of it. Maybe don’t make it so loud? Turn the volume down on it? I’m glad the season is over and it’s stupid but I don’t think I will listen to any more HOTD podcasts from this outfit because of the obnoxious noise that causes me to jump out of my skin and increases my blood pressure. It’s not that funny.

The best House of the Dragon podcast!!
Outstanding House of the Dragon podcast. I love both the reaction episodes that air on Sundays and the deep dives that Mallory and Jo do every Tuesday. The analysis is so well informed, substantive and insightful. Not only that but the podcast is also so fun, I find myself laughing out loud often and you can tell that the whole staff would just be so much fun to hang out with and watch the episodes, don’t even bother with any other HOTD podcasts, this is where it’s at! The show runners honestly should have hired Mallory, she is so knowledgeable about this universe and picks up on every mistake that’s made in the show. (Of which there are many) but the show is so entertaining I’ll give HBO a pass for that.

Overall love the nexus feed but…
The midnight boys generally have great insight and takes but when they all talk over each other it is so loud and impossible to follow (see most recent Andor episode when they discuss MCU delays at the end). I love the open unscripted discuss but please let each other finish thoughts before talking over each other.

These host bring good insights but they go off on tangents for long periods of time and try way too hard be trenchant. The length of the podcast could probably be shorter if they stayed focused. Rings of Power: please stick to the rings of spoilers!
I was really excited to listen to a podcast diving into Rings of Power and I was happy when I heard you are setting boundaries with ring 1 (basically just show info), ring 2 (speculation), and ring 3 (anything goes). However almost RIGHT AWAY Joanna starts inserting information from Tolkien’s non-LOTR-trilogy books and this continues throughout the “ring 1” and “ring 2” sections. To be fair I don’t think I heard serious spoilers from this, but if this is the pattern they’re going to follow where they can’t stick to the “ring levels” then I just can’t listen to it, and that will make me sad.

A lot of complaining on this show
At least an hour of their 3 hour HOTD recaps is spent complaining about the things they wish the show spent time on. I’ve read the books too and the complaints are excessive and their expectations are unrealistic when you consider the narrative around what the show and what it was up against after the way the original GOT ended. It would be nice if they put all their complaints in one section and put a time stamp on it so you don’t have to spend the 3 plus hours fast forwarding through their consistent spots of negativity and could listen to the recap portion which is actually pretty good.

Your pandering is embarrassing
Jesus…Do you ever get tired of lamenting the plight of the imaginarily underrepresented? I realize statistics and data and objective reality doesn’t really factor into your virtue-signaling feigned advocacy, but do you realize how disproportionately over-represented gay characters are in this story, as opposed to the actual portion of gay people writ large? “I’m really uncomfortable with a gay character getting killed!” Hey dumb-dumb…you can’t throw a piece of dragon stone in this show without hitting a gay character! We get it…you straight white ladies definitely love gay men and definitely don’t roll up your windows every time a person with more melanin than Tobey Macguire walks down the street! It’s embarrassing. My hunch is even gay men wish you’d ease up on the pandering. There is nothing brave about begging for acceptance.

Love the Content Audio issues
Great deep dive on HOD from both ladies. But the laughing, shrieking, and giggling that fills about 20% of each episode is so high that it cracks the mics genuinely hurts my ears if I’m wearing headphones. Please find a way to adjust the volume as Mallory shrieks and laughs for long periods and I find myself having to skip 15-60 seconds ahead because she is losing it and it is so grating. Also, I do not under stand why these women think the HOTD sound board is so funny. Like I get it, morning drive shows use them…they can be effective…but, these two seem to have never heard of the concept of sound clips. They react to each sound bite the way young boys who just discovered how funny the 3 stooges or southpark is and they are annoying little pantomimes for like 6 months until they get over it. Content gets an A, production gets a solid C-

Really enjoy their discussions on House of the Dragon. Joanna and Mallory really know their stuff, and make the material fun and accessible for people who haven’t read the books. The ultimate team-up
The level of detail and insight Mallory and Joanna bring to each pod is unmatched. They balance a fannish love of media with critical discussions effortlessly. Their HOTD pods have made me watch and appreciate that show in a much deeper way, and I love the attention they pay to the below-the-line folks in their breakdowns of each episode. I've been listening to Mallory since Binge Mode, and I've followed Joanna across the many different podcasts she worked on over the years. While I like the pod and they know what they’re talking about Mallory almost makes it unlistenable. For those who want enthusiasm
I understand criticisms of The Ringer’s shows as being overly enthusiastic, but I actually find the Ringer-Verse, to my own taste, to be a good balance between sharing the excitement of fans and approaching content with an analytical and critical eye. I learn a lot about the entertainment industry from listening to them, and I also get to laugh with them and share in their joy about the stories we all love. Also, I am stunned to find in these reviews the number of people who find fault in the sound of the voices of the women hosting House of R. It’s a classic problem for women in any audio or video medium face: being perceived as “shrill” or “like a giddy schoolgirl” for the way they speak and sound. If they’re not that, they’re “too manly.” I love feeling like I’m listening to my friends debate their entertainment takes or express their excitement over the latest movies and shows. The Ringer-Verse is great for folks who want to revel in the joy of new chapters in our favorite stories while learning about how those stories are told and made for us!

Stay for the Midnight Boys
The midnight boys are fantastic and truly funny, honest, and insightful. When they love something you know they mean it, and they aren’t afraid to engage with the material and have real debates and hold unpopular opinions. Mallory and Joanna, however are often unlistenable. Mallory in particular seems unable to take anything seriously, constantly giggles and shrieks into the mic, can’t find any word but “iconic” to describe even the most trivial things, and seems unable to analyze things critically. Best exemplified by the Rings of Power fawning coverage, Mallory and Joanna seem unable to be at all critical of anything. They perpetuate the culture of disposable consumption and shallowness that has so stripped beloved franchises of their value in recent years and reduced them into nothing more than shallow “content.” Please grow up. And split up.

Pure Joy
I have listened to every second of every episode and let me tell you: this podcast brings genuine joy into my life. Everyone on the pod has their opinions and hills to die on which makes their conversations intriguing to listen to. As a white person, I really appreciate the perspectives of the hosts of color because they notice things that I don’t always see at first. And to Jo and Mal, I’ve listened to you both on your various pods for years. I had the pleasure of meeting you both at Con of Thrones and you were very gracious with your time. When I was a kid, I was into all the things that “weren’t cool” for girls to be into. So to get to hear you both talk so intelligently and passionately about the worlds I love means more than I can say. So, basically, this is must-listen content. I wish I had more stars to give!

Separate the feeds!
I think this is the best Rings of Power pod out there, but it is a struggle to separate that from the other content. I will love Mal forever for what she did on Binge Mode (Game of Thrones, Marvel, Harry Potter), but Joanna and Mal are too similar. Joanna is great, passionate and insightful, but I think Mal and Joanna are too similar. As others have said, the structure that Jason must have brought to the show is essential. The show needs more structure. Not interested in the other content, Midnight Boys, etc, and don’t know why we are forced to Wade through them all. 5 stars for Mal or Joanna individually. 3 stars when you account for the messy dump of all pods and the lack of structure. Jason is killing it on House of Dragon’s official pod, with a nice new cohost, but Mal is greatly missed.

Love Joanna, Mal is too hard to listen to
I like Mallory for her content, but her voice cadence is pretty tough to listen to. I can’t listen to this podcast. Instead I always listen to Trail by Content instead of this. Joanna, Dave and Neil have great chemistry and amazing together. Wish they were the mainline HotD podcast on the ringer.

Joanna Robinson: 1st of her Name Queen of Podcasts
Joanna Robinson is a true gift to the world of podcasting. So maybe it’s unfair of me to hold all other podcasters to her standard. But as much as I want to buy into the J + M show, I cannot stand listening to Mallory. As several other listeners have pointed out, the frenetic energy is just too much. Half the time she can’t control herself and talks over Joanna anyways! Joanna is so thoughtful and understands how to deliver in a podcast format. I hope Mal can learn from her!! Anyways 3 stars because Joanna is that perfect and I will follow her down any path but pls someone give Mal some directorial guidance!

Only here for Mallory’s and Joanna’s HotD deep dives
I’ve loved both Mallory Rubin and Joanna Robinson in previous Thrones podcasts, so was thrilled when I heard they’d be teaming up for The Ringer’s House of the Dragon deep dives. They deliver on every level - in-depth story analysis? Check. Smart TV critique? Check. Excellent host chemistry? Check. This podcast makes me laugh and these three hours eps just seem to fly by. I look forward to listening every week, please don’t ever “dial it down,” (🙄🙄🙄) ladies!

The Babe Ruth & Ty Cobb team up of pop culture podcasts
Mallory Rubin and Joanna Robinson are hands down two of the best and most insightful analyzers of big-pop-lit movies and TV out there, and hearing them both together on one podcast is like having the two best hitters on your team just knock them out of the park one after the other for hours at a time. Mallory is one of the closest readers of text that you’ll find anywhere— listening to her analysis of symbolism and hidden meaning in the language of the movies and tv shows they cover is like eavesdropping on a masters level course in English literature. She brings a superb and deep knowledge of the story landscape that all of these pop culture mega properties reside in and is able to draw insightful connections between them. She’s also extremely thorough and detailed in her observations of character and story, and brings all of that to the table with an infectious passion and love for the stories they cover, and for talking through them in podcast form. She clearly loves what she does, and it shines through every time. Joanna Robinson is one of the savviest, smartest and most plugged in observers of all things pop « nerd » culture, and hearing what she has to say on a particular show or episode is really like hearing the definitive last word. Jo’s instinct is sharp and her ability to bring insight and first-class analysis to both the narrative arcs of all the storylines she covers (and there are a lot!) as well as the goings on behind the scenes in the worlds of Hollywood production and beyond is what makes her absolutely unique as a critic and commentator. Hearing both Jo and Mallory together discussing material they both clearly love (GoT/HotD & LOTR, etc.) is a rare opportunity to hear two people who really are the best at what they do, doing their best work. It’s really that much of a thrill. The episodes are long because Mal and Jo have a lot to say, and every bit is worth hearing. It’s also great to hear two women comfortably weigh in on such typically « man-fan » content and bring so much insight and knowledge to the table. Anyone interested in culture, lit or podcasting, take notes — Jo and Mal show us how it’s done.

In Jo and Mal I trust
Found my way to Ringer pods after following Joanna from VF, and I’ve stayed for the gloriousness that is the partnership of Jo and Mal. If I see their name in the header of any pod, I slam the download button faster than a Targaryen would slam their cousin. They are sweet baby angels with voices to match and I have them to thank for slivers of joy in sometimes dreadful days. <<insert dragon squawk here>>

B- for content; D+ for polish and delivery
In terms of content, the hosts on average seem fairly well versed on the shows they review. But the podcasts have real problems when it comes to organization and delivery. They desperately need editorial/management guidance in a number of key areas. A big area of concern is presentation style. Joanna Robinson is essentially the only “adult in the room”. Mallory Rubin too frequently adopts this intensely annoying childish persona as she cackles and shrieks, “Oh, my God!” Enthusiasm is fine, but please dial it back down from 11. Listening to the Midnight Boys is a bit like listening to a bunch of drunks at last call in a dive bar. I’ve never been able to make it through one of their episodes.

HotD Reactions is another mismatch
Once again, with the HotD Reaction pod, the hosts are unpleasantly mismatched. Jo & Mal are thoughtful, informed, careful watchers. Chris is another Simmons proxy — hasn’t read anything, and can’t or won’t pay enough attention to keep track of the characters or plot. It’d be fine to have someone in that role to ask useful questions of Jo & Mal, but Chris frequently interrupts or talks over them while they’re trying to answer and inform. Idk if he thinks he’s being amusing or entertaining, or just feels like he’s gotta grab his share of airtime, or can’t stand to be in a subordinate role to two more qualified women, but to me it’s just annoying.

The best
I’ve been listening to Joanna for years and knew I’d follow her to whatever podcast she did. I was thrilled to find this feed! Since Joanna moved to the Ringer I’ve become a huge fan of the midnight boys. Their unique perspective and general sense of fun makes them a great listen and I never miss an episode. But the true surprise of this feed is the chemistry between Joanna and Mal. I didn’t know I was missing a Mallory Ruben in my life and now I don’t know how I was ever able to navigate genre fiction without her. The chemistry between Joanna and Mallory is electric and the passion they have for this content only makes me love it more. I’m writing this review as a wait for house of the dragon to drop because I’m just as excited to hear them talk about it as I am to watch the episode!

More Mal, less Charles
Miss Binge Mode. Cannot replace Jason, but obviously need to try to reboot the series after his departure. I can think of many words to describe Charles’s takes, but I think lame fits the best. I actually might prefer to listen to House spew nonsense about golf than listen to Charles’s ideas about Marvel or DC. Musa from the Stadio podcast has been the best contributor, besides Mal, so far. A return to the world of Game of Thrones, reinforces my above commentary. I still wish Jason never left. Spotify should hire him back-Haeh and Tate as well. Jason’s current show not as good as when he was on the Ringer, but still much better than House of R. Hard to listen to Listen to these GOT and Rings of Power podcasts, and not wonder what might have been.

House of R (working title) forever
The moment they announced Jo was joining The Ringer I knew this was going to be something special. Been a fan since Binge Mode and was as heartbroken as everyone to see Jason leave, but honestly Jo and Mal have the most amazing chemistry and the coming together of my two absolute favourite staples in Nerddom does not disappoint. There is no one on this earth as evocative as Mallory Rubin. I don’t think there’s been a single episode she hasn’t brought me to tears. PROTECT MAL AT ALL COSTS. Jo’s insight and wit is second to none. Together, the breadth of knowledge, the humour, the occasional thirst 😂, the passion and the unbridled HYPE make for the most incredible listen and the best companion for all the things I love. Not to mention how much femme representation means in a culture which can be steeped in misogyny. Thank you always, Ladies. Keep doing you.

Love the whole Ringerverse crew
I was skeptical when I heard Joanna Robinson was moving to the Ringer, because I only associated the network with sports coverage. To my endless delight, I now have a whole new group of favorite podcasters. Mal’s enthusiasm is infectious, and I’m always blown away by how knowledgeable and insightful she and Jo are. They blend deep discussion of lore with so much heart. I love the long episodes, no complaints. Never change, House of R! Quality AND quantity
I enjoy every iteration of the Ringer Verse and every one of the hosts who participates. In my experience, it’s rare to find someone putting out such a huge amount of content while still hitting such a high overall quality level. And I love the breadth of the feed—I can check it every week knowing that there will be something I’m interested in on the Midnight Boys if House of R is dipping into something I’m unfamiliar with, or vice versa. Everyone is insightful and fun and funny, and their enthusiasm is catching. And as a Marylander married to a Californian, this household has a particular appreciation for the wonderful voices of both Mallory and Joanna!

Excellent Pod
Really enjoy this podcast feed, which primarily is House of R with Joanna and Mal and the Midnight Boys (pew pew). The midnight boys crack me up and I really enjoy the deep dives that House of R does. My only minor concern is I think sometimes they may feel obligated to keep up with every episode of Disney plus content and that can put some strain on the pods (especially when the shows were mediocre). Some hosts are then in the awkward position of being positive in a insincere way or being deemed too negative for a “fandom” pod. I trust them to find the right balance as they’re all thoughtful, love the genre/source material and seem to enjoy working together. If you’re watching all the popular superhero/fantasy shows and want a good place to listen to thoughtful conversation I highly recommend.

Awesome
The whole team is awesome. I started with the Ringerverse because of what Mal did at Bingemode, starting with her in-depth coverage of GOT. I enjoy the Midnight Boys love of all things fandom and their humorous coverage. I was over the moon when Jo came over. I had followed her so many questions places from Still Watching to Cast of Kings. Together they really are the super hero team up we deserve. They all have so much chemistry together and you can tell that they are friends who just enjoy getting together to discuss nerd stuff. The BEST podcast out there
By far, House of R is the most enjoyable and well-thought-out podcast on my feed. I love, love, love their chemistry, cultural knowledge, insightful analysis, and pure joy as they dissect pop culture juggernauts. (As Mal would say, the podcast is “Remarkable! Great stuff!”) I have the attention span of a gnat, which gets shorter every year, but I’m shocked and sad when even the 3 hour episodes finish. My brain is like, “Really? It’s over already?? This pod gives me genuine joy.
I really wasnt into podcasts until Bill Simmons created The Ringer(great website, ever heard of it?) but catching the sports pods was fun, and a good way to kill time. It was Binge Mode that truly got me hooked. When it was decided that a fandom podcast channel would be created through The Ringer it had me elated. Why? Because I genuinely believe one of the best things this podcast network and Bill Simmons have ever done was give Mallory Rubin a platform to speak about sport, fandom and everything in between. Her joy, and eloquence in speaking about all aspects of fandom is infectious and delightful. She backs up this vibrant energy with knowledge and a way of viewing fandom that I’ve never encountered in fandom before. It’s phenomenal and I’m glad she’s able to shine on the multitude of podcasts this network provides. Which leads me to Joanna Robinson, a former contributor to Vanity Fair, she brings nuance and grace and sharp wit and analysis to anything she puts her mind her to. She isn’t afraid to call out franchises in fandom when they fail to level up to her potential but when she’s overjoyed on a project you know it’s good because it’s a quality piece of pop culture that will reward you for investing time because Joanna Robinson doesn’t just recommend anything not worth true consideration. Her Joining The Ringer has been an excellent addition, and truly gives fans something to think and ponder as they examine their pop culture. Being able to hear both ladies converse on pop culture is wonderful and a true joy. I hope you both know that you are true masters of your craft and I feel like a smarter, more open, empathetic, and inquisitive fan for coming across this podcast, and I thank you.

The Ringer-verse is the distillation of fully loving yourself enough to celebrate all of the things that bring you joy. All these shows bring me joy so it’s only fair to celebrate them. House of R: Mal is a bright and beautiful light and I hope she never changes. The Ringer was lucky to find someone as thoughtful/insightful/fun as Joanna too. Just A+ material here. Midnight Boys: Pew Pew. pound for pound this show makes me laugh more than almost anything. Love that these guys can wild out and be ultra real in the same breath. What I would give to join one of these conversations. Mint Edition: I know Jomi and Steve’s star-making turn here is going to get better and better which is saying a lot since it’s already great. Ben Lindbergh is a G and his ability to understand complex narrative structure and break it down into digestible bits is mind-blowing. Lots of love to the producers too. Mal and Joanna’s deep dives in the House of R (working title) are the perfect companions to the genre shows of the moment. They’ve done their research and know their stuff so I don’t have to! The tone is delightful and they are a joy. Positivity and optimism abound. Love it and can’t recommend enough.

Came for Mal, stayed for Jo
Their insight, passion, and sincere emotions make House of R stand out. I don’t get out as much post-COVID, and I cherish listening to Mal and Jo deep dive into the stories I love. It helps me feel a part of a community again. PROTECT GHOST.

Working Title
Anytime a new House of R drops I bump it up in my podcast line up and listen to it immediately. I followed Jo over from Still Watching and while she seemed to enjoy SW and her friends over there, no one matches the chemistry and enthusiasm she has when podcasting with Mal about content they both clearly love. Their laughs and catch phrases are contagious and I find myself smiling while listening. I live for their 3+ hour podcasts (thank you producers for your service) and hope they only continue to get longer and longer. Best podcast around for a deep dive on fandom media!

Adding dimension to my fandom
I followed Joanna Robinson’s voice and her Thrones/LOST/Westworld/VF brilliance to The Ringer-verse and other Ringer podcasts. I have loved hearing familiar and new voices, through Jo’s wonderful chemistry with Mallory Rubin, as well as The Midnight Boys and Mint Edition.

5 Stars Across The Board
Mallory, Joanna, Van, Charles, Jomi, and Steve make my day better every time they drop a pod. They’re all deeply knowledgeable about the different fandom content they cover, have wonderful chemistry, and the dulcet tones of all of their voices instantly put me in a better mood. I’ve been following Mal and Jo for years on separate pods and absolutely love the two of them together.

Hanging with friends
I love everything in the Ringer-Verse. The Midnight Boys is fast becoming my favourite of all podcasts with their instant reactions and banter, but Mal and Jo on House of R (Working Title …LOL) can make a long podcast feel like a quick snap with their warm energy and enthusiasm that frankly makes me feel like I’m immersed in the actual books. Love this podcast. I don’t know how they manage to put out so much content, but it is all incredible and high quality. I can always count on good laughs and interesting conversations whether I’m listening to the Midnight Boys and their hot takes or House of R and their super well researched and insightful commentary. Even mint edition is a great listen. I look forward to each episode that comes out and find the enthusiasm as well as the chemistry/dynamics among all the cohosts to be perfect. I just absolutely love everything about all of their podcasts. Admittedly I was a little slower to come around to the midnight boys, but I don’t miss an episode now. Listening to Mal and Jo is like cozying up in front of a fire with a warm blanket on a cold winter day. It just feels right!

Best fandom pod!
I have been listening to Joanna podcast for many years and could not be happier to see her with The Ringer. I love her pods with Mal, the longer the better! There’s nothing I love more than a deep dive, and I always learn something from them, find more joy in a fandom, or a new perspective that I didn’t have before. Keep doing what you’re doing ladies! Also just a big shout out to all the Ringerverse content - top notch!

They Have the Goods
I always enjoy when RV is covering something I’m watching and sometimes watch stuff I don’t really care about just so I can follow what they are talking about. Jo and Mal are killing it and I’m all in with them for the HOTD ride. Bring it ladies! I used to listen to each of their separate pods. Thoughtful, meaningful, but fun first, always. Together, I find them divine. No other podcast has the depth of show & books & lore knowledge, nor are any other podcasters able to weave that knowledge into fun, interesting, and witty conversations (still a CR Head but he’ll be WITH Mal & Jo on another HOTD pod - hooouah). I’m in podcast heaven these days, but I will be going to this one FIRST! Thanks Jo & Mal, appreciatchya!

🗣Love This For Them
Been a huge Mallory and Joanna fan since way before they ever linked up. I was curious as to how they would fit together but it’s been incredible. They bounce off each other well and both bring nuanced perspectives. The Binge Mode comparisons that detractors often bring up are lazy. While I’ll always be a fan of Binge Mode, House of R is it’s own unique and often better thing. The two shows don’t even have the same energy to be honest. Anyway, back to the topic, I look forward to seeing how the shows continue to grow with these two 🐐’s leading the way.

Hosts who feel like friends
My favorite part of Ringer-verse isn’t just the brilliant and in depth looks into the many layers of our favorite nerdoms, but it’s the fact that for a few hours every week I feel like I’m listening to close friends just hanging out. Mal, Jo, Van, Charles, Steve, and Jomi are all unique voices representing us nerds that make everyone feel listened to and included with their smart insight and humor. (And as a bonus, nothing beats the sound of a genuine laugh from Mal and Jo about “adult content” or the Midnight Boys cackling while harping on Steve). Keep up the good work crew!

Mallory Rubin is my spirit animal. Obsessed. Who is she? What are her powers? What is her origin story? Her enthusiasm is contagious and I’ve listened to many of her pods twice just out of sheer fun factor. Jo I’ve listened to and learned from for years on GoT pods, she’s smart as a whip and half the time teaching me new ways to think about my favorite content. Jedi. They are to be treasured. I lost my father a couple months ago and to keep my mind off things it’s been Mal, Jo, CR, Fennessy, Van Latham and the Midnight boys who have kept me company and made me feel welcome and brought a smile to my face. Enthusiasm matters.

Appreciation Post for Mal and Jo
Want to send a shout out to Mallory and Joanna, their knowledge about Game of Thrones is 2nd to only George. They don’t have to do a 3! hour long podcast for us (in addition to talk the thrones) but they do it bc they love this series and they love the fans and we should all be grateful to them, I will be looking forward to The House of R (working title) every single week. Thank you ladies for your hard work and dedication to this pod and for bringing all the of the listeners along with you on this journey. I do not know either of you personally but every week I get maybe a little too excited to listen to 2 women discuss this show and the books. Great hosts, great content
Your one stop shop for all things tv/movie geekdom! All of the hosts are incredibly insightful and knowledgeable, but the House of R ladies take things to the next level. They always stand out to me as being the most passionate and well versed in the content they’re speaking on. I’ve been listening to them both across a number of platforms over the years and they always tend to have the deepest knowledge of the subject matter and bring perspectives that I just don’t hear elsewhere when it comes to this genre. Listening to the RingerVerse is such a joy. To hear what other people dissect and theorize about these stories is really cathartic. I feel like they get me; though I know I’m only an observer. Between the hilarity and sharp insights from The Midnight Boys and the epic deep dives from The House of R, this has become my favorite fandom podcast feed. Nothing will replace Binge Mode in our hearts but the content these folks are producing right now is incredible. Between the recent 3.5 hour pod on HOtD (just a show of force by Mal and Jo) and one of the most re-listenable draft pods, the Black Superhero Draft (Charles desperately trying not to pick Falcon) every episode is can’t-miss. And shout out Mint Edition! Love those dudes getting a chance to shine.

How much can I say I love Jo and Mal? They bring such a depth and breadth of knowledge to every topic they discuss and you can tell they really love what they do. Even though I am generally well acquainted with most of the stuff they talk about they always surprise me with nuggets of info or insight I hadn’t previously thought about. The positivity, laughter, and pure emotion that is captured through this medium is one-of-a-kind. Huge supporter of everyone involved with RingerVerse. Keep it comin’ and let it rip.

Joanna and Mallory are the best
Ride or die for Joanna and Mallory. Two of the best podcasters in the business. As a long-time listener or Vanity Fair’s podcasts and Binge Mode, I was really excited when I heard Joanna Robinson was joining the Ringer and one of her main projects would be co-hosting a new show with Mallory Rubin. I’ve been a regular listener since this show started, and it’s only exceeded my expectations.

House of Ringerverse domination
Loving this Ringerverse feed my only problem is it doesn’t leave room in my life for any other podcasts. The hits and nerddom just keep coming. Wether it’s a deep dive on HotD, feverish debated on MCU or just setting a summer of no-expectations, this is the go to pop culture podcast feed.

Mallory and Jo rock
This is one of the most insightful and in-depth podcasts about fandom that exists. There’s no one else I would rather listen to than my girls Jo and Mallory do a 3 hour podcast about HOT D. I want to be friends with them so badly!!! It says a lot about the people who “can’t stand Mallory’s laugh or cackle”… just admit you hate women?? These ladies are in a league of their own when it comes to podcasting and the knowledge/discussion they bring is first class. All the other men on the ringer verse podcasts are loud and where are the reviews on them? Misogyny at its worst.

The best of fandom
I’m never more excited than when an episode of Ringerverse appears in my feed. I’m probably a level 2-3 fandom member, meaning there are a lot of popular media I have never engaged with; that doesn’t stop me from listening to every episode of the pod. Have I seen Lord of the Rings? Nope. Have I listened to every prep pod for the new series? Yep. No intention to watch Sandman, listened to the pod. In the first HotD pod when Mal and Jo got to the book spoiler section, they realized some people might be listening who didn’t read the book and don’t intend to. They both said “hey” to those people out there, and I said it back because that was for me! I appreciate Mal, Jo, Charles, Jomi, Van, Steve, Arjuna, Jonathan, CR and every other person who contributes to this phenomenal podcast. Y’all are the real ones and I appreciate you greatly. Also, if you’re leaving a review about how women’s voices sound in the year of our lord 2022, get real. If you don’t like hearing intelligent, passionate, hilarious women spouting facts and fun, buh-bye!

The team is so great at analysis and full of source knowledge. I enjoy the enthusiasm and especially like the balance of male and female perspectives. My Go To Nerdom Community
All of a sudden the Ringer Verse is my one stop shop for all of my genre needs! We’ve got Marvel, we’ve got Thrones we’ve got Rings! Having Mal and Joanna together at last is truly incredible. After every new episode, trailer, teaser, announcement, my two best friends and I have taken to saying “I can’t wait to hear what Jo and Mal think” or “I need Jo and Mal to tell me what this means”. These women are unabashed pros and experts and when I listen to Deep Dives I feel like I’’m taking a thesis level class. It’s thrilling and I honestly can’t believe it’s free and readily available multiple times per week. Keep the schooling coming Ladies! My only only only note, give the Wheel of Time books a real try! There’ 14 of them, the middle is a slog (George RR Martin learned the Merenese Knot from watching Robert Jordan flail around with the Shaido Knot) but it is so so so worth it in the end!

Thoughtful, Hilarious
The evolution of Binge Mode to Ringer-Verse has been a joy to listen to. The Midnight Boys offer the perfect blend of comedy and thoughtful commentary. House of M (working title) can only be described as a Forrest Gump quote, “Mama always explains things so I can understand them.” I love the insight and earnest affection Joe and Mal have for their favorite shows/books and how they can vocalize what I feel but are too dumb to comprehend. When you’re so deeply passionate about pop-culture, having a podcast feed to turn to like Ringer-verse is like flopping into your own bed after a long camping trip. The Podcast That Keeps On Giving
I came to The Ringer-Verse when Joanna joined and had no idea what delights awaited. The Midnight Boys are hilarious, insightful, and a great mid-week pick-me-up. Any time spent with Mal DOES make you love stories even more, and her deep dives with Jo are never ever unwelcome. The 2-3 hour episodes give me welcome company during dishes, cleaning, walks, whatever. Mint Addition means even more content and fun, compelling conversation. Overall, the whole group (amazing production crew included) feels supportive of each other, and that support is a little dash of hope and comfort three times a week. I love crossover episodes, movie drafts with The Big Picture, all of it. These people are smart studiers of story who have taught me so much and made me laugh along the way. The podcast is my first recommendation for anyone who likes fandoms and is interested in critical, but still lighthearted, conversation. Pew-pew, Chelsea

There is just so much tv and movies going on out there, yet somehow this podcast covers it all! All the hosts are fun and bring a lot of energy to their respective shows. I’m particularly partial to Joanna and Mal on The House of R for their DEEEEEP dives into fantasy and comic book worlds. It’s like listening to two besties who also happen to know a heckuva lot about what they’re talking about. Excellent insights, genuine fans
Love these podcasts because of the genuine love the hosts have for the many fantasy / sci-fi / superhero stories of today. That shines through in every episode! Great explorations into character motivations, story arcs and plot machinations, as well as the broader Hollywood / production context that these properties exist / were created in. I have some spoiler phobia so sometimes I wait a bit to listen because they have SO much knowledge of casting, what's coming etc. but they always provide fair warning for spoilers! Keep it up! Cheers

AMAZING
there’s a lot of bigotry, racism and misogyny in the reviews this (not surprising but upsetting to say the least). this feed has without a doubt been a joy to listen to. the midnight boys, house of r (working. title.) and mint edition deliver top-notch content filled with endless laughs and thoroughly nuanced analysis. as a queer woman of color, i truly feel that having diversity in voices is always something we need more of, and this pod delivers on that and then some. i respect their opinions and always look forward to the conversations that can evolve from any given piece of media. each voice on the pod, be they hosts or guests, are incredibly well-spoken, intelligent and charming people who clearly take joy in discussing fandom. i will always recommend this podcast to anyone who’s even slightly as big a pop culture nerd as i am. thank you for the hours of content you’ve given us so far!

Singular
If you love great stories. If - napkin tucked under chin, fork and knife standing at attention - you find your sustenance from movies, and books, and comics. If you’re deeply concerned about the state of MacGuffins in the world today. If you want your ideas challenged, and turned upside, and held up exalted to the cheers of tens of thousands from some coliseumnal crowd - all with the most insightful analysis and care. If you’ve dreamed as much about the sands of Tatooine as the tall grasslands of Rohan. If you are looking for people who love this stuff like you, but maybe don’t have anyone to talk to for two or three hours about all the burning excitement, and critique, and observations, and emotions that fill up within you from what you’ve just seen on the screen. This is the best podcast on the internet and it’s righteous, and earnest, and funny, and brilliant. And its singular. Thank you Molly and Jo for such a gift.

The Joy is Contagious
Can’t imagine why so many nerd fandom dudebro listeners would have an issue with women who are clearly smarter and more accomplished than them (ahem), and why they would focus their criticism on Mal and Joanna’s unbridled joy and enthusiasm. Keep the cackles, keep the “love that for him/her/you’s,” keep the dragon squeaks! It’s such a joy to listening to two people who are so passionate and knowledgeable about GoT and fandom. Believe the Hype
Great podcasts are about human chemistry combined with smart, thoughtful, and meaningful content. Ringer Verse is an incredibly compelling array of humans who obviously love each other and that warmth radiates through the rich dialogue which pivots from socially relevant thoughts to total absurdity with the agility that only a tight group of friends can pull off. They make current shows more interesting and compelling through both their enthusiasm and their critiques. Every person you hear is bringing incredible background and a lifetime of love for this material (which I appreciate), but honestly I stay because I like the people themselves.

Peak anti-toxic nerd gloriousness
What can I say that hasn’t been said? I have followed Jo from podcast to podcast for years now because she is consistently one of the most prepared, thoughtful, insightful, funny, and empathetic voices you will ever encounter. Her ridiculous knowledge of pop culture, film, and literature and lightning-quick ability to pull in arcane details of everything from Shakespeare to George R R Martin enriches the conversation far beyond the vast majority of our pop culture discourse. Mal is new to me but I am deeply impressed with her ability to go toe-to-toe with Joanna on background knowledge and analysis while bringing a distinct set of background knowledge and interests, and a different but equally delightful tone/vibe/sense of humor that complements Joanna wonderfully.

The Ringerverse crew covers so many different areas of fandom so well. I love the balance of deep dive information and silly fun. While the whole crew rocks, listening to Mallory and Jo talk about HotD is the absolute highlight of my week. The balance between unashamed fandom and legit critique/discussion is perfect, and I’m always so excited for the next episode.

This is my favorite podcast
I first discovered Joanna Robinson with her Decoding Westworld podcast. I soon learned she also had several Game of Thrones podcasts and I have been following her ever since. I was hesitant about her move to The Ringer at first, but I have really grown to appreciate Mallory’s insight and infectious enthusiasm. I am a huge Star Wars fan and usually have a hard time listening to podcasts on the subject, because I often know way more than the hosts. That is not the case here…Mal has deep knowledge of obscure canon and Joanna always does her homework, even if it is for a show she’s not crazy about (Book of Boba Fett anyone?) I’m pretty sure the only reason I’m watching House of the Dragon is because I missed listening to Jo talk about Thrones.

Love hearing women talk about nerd culture too!
The Ringer Verse feels like my safe place to go to hear people who know way more about fandom franchises than I do. My favorite episodes are the ones featuring “House of R”. One of my biggest hangups about nerd culture has been how male-dominated the space can feel. Mal and Joanna are two women who are not only knowledgeable about the fandoms they speak about but also funny and thoughtful in their conversations. I love hearing them get giddy and emotional in the same ways that I do talking about things that they love. It’s an awesome podcast that not only teaches me it’s also is entertaining!

House of R
My favorite tandem was Mal and Jason, and probably will always be. But Jo and Mal is catching up real quick. The fact that I can listen to a 3 hour pod about a one hour show tells you all I need to know. Thanks, ladies.

I Will Follow Joanna Robinson Anywhere
As the title suggests, I came to the ringer-verse via Joanna Robinson and I absolutely love the insight and depth of knowledge both Jo and Mal bring to the podcast. Their enthusiasm gets me hyped for shows and movies that I have a passing interest in or when I feel the “Marvel fatigue”. Keep it up, Jo and Mal! Love your stuff

Rave Review (working title)
I followed Joanna over here from Storm of Spoilers (cause I’ll listen to anything she podcasts about forever) and thank goodness I did. Mallory is one of my new favorites, she’s a dang delight!!!! Mal, want to let you know my dog loves the pod as well. We (the dog and I) are so happy to have house of r and the midnight boys to geek out with about all our favorite things!

All Hail the House of R
Loved both Jo and Mal on their previous pods, but I think I may enjoy them better together. Always well researched and delivered in an engaging and enthusiastic way.

In Praise of Jo, Mal, and The Midnight Boys
Malory Rubin’s voice got me through the pandemic and my divorce. When I felt alone in so many ways l had her unbridled joy, and her infectious enthusiasm lighting my way. She’s part of the family I choose, and though she never aspired to greatness she took on the mantle and found she wore it well. Joanna is the best of the best and the perfect complement to Mal. I didn’t think anyone could replace Jason but Jo has proved me wrong. She is an equal pleasure and a joy to listen to. She doesn’t know me but I consider her a friend (and hear her voice more than most of my IRL friends) And what is there to say about The Midnight Boys besides that I love their work? Crackling chemistry, scalding hot takes (good and bad) and a camaraderie I adore. This is an amazing podcast, anchored by two amazing women. I wouldn’t ask them to change a thing!

Followed Joanna, found a bunch more to love
I’ve listened to Joanna podcast for years now and began listening to the Ringerverse with her arrival. I’ve found a bunch more voices I really enjoy and I like the variety of host combinations. The House of R and Midnight Boys are winning flavors with great balance. When the hosts get mixed together you get listening experiences you didn’t know you needed.

I couldn’t live w/o this pod
I’m a Day 1 Ringerverse listener, having switched over from Binge Mode once Jason left the Ringer. I don’t miss an episode unless it’s for something I haven’t seen (because like Van says, why would you listen to something with spoilers if you haven’t watched what’s being spoiled). That being said, knowing that I’m missing out on Ringerverse content has made me watch some things I would not have considered watching before. I learn so, so much from this pod. Listening to Mal for several years now has made me realize it’s OK to share how passionate I am about the things I love, even if the thing I love is how Anakin Skywalker looks in that shirtless Revenge of the Sith scene. I have so much fun listening to Jo’s different dynamic with each host; she brings a very genuine curiosity and openness to the show that I appreciate. Being highly opinionated myself, Charles and Van regularly make me laugh due to the intensity with which they get off their takes. And as a young person, I’ve loved how Steve and Jomi have transitioned into bigger roles as the pod has gone on. Gives me hope that I can be them someday. Please never stop doing what you all are doing!!!

Great insight from many brilliant voices
All of the hosts on this feed provide wonderful insight into the various shows and topics covered. It’s an enjoyable listen to gain some (usually) differing views on a show or just to listen to a bunch of friends having fun together and occasionally throwing playful shade towards one another. Having several shows in the same feed can be annoying if they cover things you’re not interested in, but it’s easy enough to manage and skip those episodes. That said, when I have listened to topics I’m not following, I still find something enjoyable from the pods.

Best GOT Recap
Mal and Jo are two of the most knowledgeable GOT Scholars there are. Listening to their podcast is like a second act for each show where you get to enjoy an episode all over again, understand it better and have fun. An incredible team.

Mal and Jo are gems
Mallory is my favorite person. I’m truly delighted by her passion and love of stories. It’s the best. Love all of the laughter and insight on my favorite sagas. While I miss her and Jason as a duo Jo is a wonderful addition and brings so much knowledge and interesting takes. I really appreciate this pod.

Jo and Mal are so delightful. Every episode is just a blast to listen to. You can tell they put so much heart and soul into what they do on this podcast and the many others they do! They’ll make you laugh, they’ll bring up tv scenes that will make you cry. It’s a rollercoaster in the best way. Thank you guys for this amazing work you do on every single episode!

The Depth of Insight
Mal & Joanna are the best in the pod biz for breaking down ‘all things fandom’, have loved Jo’s work for years at VF and I spent one great summer commuting to Mal’s Harry Potter deep dive. These two are fans and scholars and their effervescent joy spills through to all they discuss. 10 stars the best!

Always Love The Energy
When Jason left Binge Mode, I wondered if anything could equal the chemistry that he and Mal had. This group has exceeded it ten times over, discussing pop culture and nerdery at the same fun levels I enjoy discussing sports. Their excitement (and occasional disappointment) in what they cover is always engaging and honest. I don’t think anyone on the team is a trained broadcaster, but yet they still find a way to deliver hour-plus pods on everything I enjoy and make you feel like you’re having a conversation with friends.

Detailed with deep love!
Mal and Jo are the only two people who I want to listen to talk about all things fandom. The research and detailed understanding that they bring to the pod makes the shows even BETTER. Their enthusiasm is infectious and their deep love for the material is felt and genuine. Truly loved both of their pods before they joined forces and now I can’t get enough! I hope they start getting into wheel of time - would love their insight on that!

House of R
Mallory and Joanna on House of R are simply two of the most prepared and insightful TV recap podcasters in the business. Listening to their show will make you smarter and more excited about the content you love, while not sacrificing the critical element. It’s a must listen if you’re a fan of Heroes, Hobbits and Dragons. The Midnight Boys, on the other hand, is an easy skip, mostly due to the presence of Charles Holmes. Last thing: bring Ben Lindbergh on more!
