Editing review again in hopes somebody will see this and save the Ringer NBA Show. I’m assuming you’ve gotten to the point where it doesn’t matter what you put on, people will still listen, but I can’t anymore. Wos is uneducated in his takes and clearly doesn’t watch any teams full games, but the highlight reel on youtube. Group chat is unlistenable. Seerat and her showmate have the most obvious commentary and takes, but will also try to be philosophical on all the wrong topics. Michael Peña and Tyler Parker are great additions, as well as the continued success of raja and logan. There’s still hope if you stop giving wos 500 shows, and return to people who are humble in their takes, actually watch games and don’t make asinine comments. You’ve driven me to start listening to the athletic nba show instead of this feed.

Michael is a great addition and seems to understand the game at a high level. Same for Raja obviously. The consistent Celtics hate—especially from Justin, Wos, and Rob— is obnoxious and overcompensates for Dear Leader.

Used to listen to this religiously
I’m writing this review just to voice how much I used to love this pod. The old crew was knowledgeable, funny, and easy to listen to. Woz I find uneducated in his takes. He doesn’t know basketball well. Listening to the Lowe post and then coming to this makes this very apparent. His voice isn’t suited for a podcast imo either. The last episode will be my last sadly. He talked over the other two most of the time and made silly points, which didn’t make any sense to the point the two on the pod didn’t respond.

Scotto Scammer
Wos and Scotto have a conversation that makes it crystal clear neither watches the Knicks consistently, they ramble on for 15 minutes of circular conversation touching on other people’s reporting. Terrible podcast

GC is the main reason I tune in. Funny, informed and varied enough talking points…less Real Ones though. Doesn’t sound like as genuine of a product as GC or other pods they do.

Agreed on Wos
Sadly stopped listening to group chat-used to be a favorite. Wos and Seerat, I’m sure you are great people and know your BB, but your voices are not radio/podcast quality-especially for the Ringer. It’s just too hard to listen to the “likes” and unprofessional comments made. Have to make a point more succinctly and move on- let others talk more. At best Seerat and Wos are 6th man/woman- come off the bench for an occasional (well thought out) insight and play a background role. The rest of the guys are great. Love “Real Ones”.

Yeah
Like a lot of the voices so will continue to listen, but John Gonzalez is a prominent host which is why I think this 1 star is deserved He’s neither witty/funny or does any research on what he’s talking about. Being infuriating and not being knowledgeable on just about every topic makes it unlistenable. The group chat show is horrific as well. They talk about niche aspects of the game which I’m into but come off pretentious - while again - not knowing anything about the specific teams they talk about.

Coming back to reduce rating bc Wos is twice a week.
I like the Pods. I used to think the Athletic Podcasts couldn’t hold a candle to the Ringer. Now, I just think there are some negative things. Any pod with Seerat on it is a skip, no offense. Wos knows very little about your team unless they are the Lakers, Warriors or Nets and makes ridiculous comments about small market franchises to the point where you would think Players are in his ear, and he says misleading claims with absolute certainty. I’m not even a Spurs fan but the way he seemingly takes Kawhi’s side without critically thinking about that whole mess is laughable. He trashes the Jazz, Pacers, Magic and Cavs among every other small market team without any substantial commentary or data. At least KOC tries to use data to back up his claims, Wos just hopes you won’t notice. The Mismatch is good, Real ones even better. J Kyle Mann has consistently good takes, as does Rob and Justin. Not that Jackie wants her own show, but give her her own show. Edit: Review reduced bc frequency of wos went up and J Kyle Man was relegated to his own feed with KOC. Bill keeps on making terrible podcast listening decisions on the NBA feed.

Love the pod; long live Tjarks Questions/subjects: >all-time teams of players who’ve adapted/failed to adapt their games or suffered from external changes >longitudinal archetype analysis (eg body/game types over time) >Brook Lopez >Greg Oden: could he have saved the Big Man? >Gregg Popovich >Might as well do the rest of the Gregs >The Dunker Spot

Justin Verrier A Converted Wizards Hopeful!
Love the show. You three are each insightful and offer a great perspective, and play off each other so well. One of the best NBA podcasting trios. Justin, I hammered you in my highly circulated Apple Podcast review from last season, when you called the Wizards fanbase “meager.” I haven’t forgotten the slight, but you’re optimism today has redeemed you in my eyes. The Wizarsd Trash Talker (yes, WizarSd) forgives you. I would have loved a 2021-22 Bulls comparison but that could also be shooting for the moon. May the honorable Kuzma bless you and bring you good fortune.

The podcast is fine, but they talk about the same five teams over and over and over and over again. If you love those teams, it’s great! But I don’t need 10 different people giving what amounts to different versions of the same take in episode ofter episode. I end up deleting half of them.

Still waiting for Logan and Raj to make an intelligent point
I don’t get these additions to the Ringer NBA squad. Disappointed whenever I tune in or they join another podcast. These doofuses just spent five minutes talking about how concerning it is that Jimmy Butler missed “a whole playoff game” in the Celtics Heat series, when JB has played the whole series except for a missed half. Also going off about how amazing Bam’s game 3 was, without mentioning the impact Rob Williams has on Bam when he plays.

Overall great feed, except Chris Vernon
Excellent feed for NBA content. Great insight and personality. Except Chris Vernon. I don’t understand how he had the credibility he seems to have been given as an NBA journalist. His “analysis” is just hot takes that aren’t even entertaining, and frequently wrong. Remember when he vehemently argued Marvin Bagley was the best player in the Luka/Trae/Ayton draft? J Kyle Man is an Ignorant Douche
J Kyle Mann is another in a long line of people who think just because they grew up in Kentucky/Indians/North Carolina they know more about basketball than anyone else. He's just another meth head fan from Appalachia who has nothing real to offer. Must have told Bill Simmons he loved Larry Bird growing up, which makes sense given his background being from a racist state and all. This podcast is trash.

One of the most versatile lineups in all of basketball coverage.
Fantastic coverage for quite some time. Came here because always felt that Tjarks was one of the most thoughtful sources for coverage. Please be well, our thoughts and prayers are always with You, Brother Jonathon Tjarks. We all care about you, and I don’t want to say that it’s heartbreaking because there’s still a chance. You’re a beautiful human being and thank you so much to Bill Simmons for his ongoing support for you and everyone else in The Ringer Network. Wos also has some of the best understated coverage with some of the most knowledgeable guests like Adam Mares from DNVR, Nate Duncan and so many others. These are the types of guests who aren’t the biggest names but are the some of the most thoughtful and knowledgeable. Mares in particular offers some of the most impressive coverage. It also would have been unthinkable to have someone like Raja Bell hosting on this network a few years ago. As a former player, the insights he offers are on the ground type information that you can get anywhere. There’s a lot more to say, but that paints a picture of this five-star network. Thank you for the coverage you offer, it’s great value to us.

Good If You Can Handle the Quirks
Rob Mahoney and J. Kyle Mann are the two highlights of the show in terms of analysis/takes. Justin is acceptable as a host but falls a bit too much into giggle-mode. Wosny Lambre makes these casts an almost unbearable listen with his obnoxious/deliberate voice and over-laughing at things that are nowhere near funny. Wosny, if you end up seeing this, remember that when you’re really laughing and no one else is, it probably isn’t that funny. Several Ringer staff are over-gigglers (Kevin O’Connor, Chris Ryan…Ryan works himself up into these bizarre high-energy giggle monologues that provide none of the insight he thinks) or provide nothing at all special while somehow being thought of as funny (Joe House). Jonathan Tjarks is great in terms of knowledge but has a really annoying cadence when talking. (starts off with volume that fades badly at the end of statements) Simmons made good hires with Mahoney, Mann, Russillo, Tjarks and maybe Sohi. The others should have a minimal microphone presence.

I’m probably not your typical fan. I’m a middle age African American woman who is a daily fan of all the podcasts here, including the Mismatch (love these guys), The Real Ones and the Ringer. I just listened to Johnathan Tjarks. I hope he reads this. I just want you to know that I enjoy your deep looks into players, rookies and teams. But your personal update today on your health situation really made me put some things in perspective in my own life. I don’t know you but May God wrap his heavy arms around you, your wife, your son and extended family and friends who know you personally. I understand everything you said and you are very brave to let us fans of you know, how things have been going. I read your column that spoke about your feelings in this journey you are going through and your wishes for your wife and son. As a mom I can understand. Johnathan I wish you the best and will miss hearing your voice and takes. Sports aside, What an inspiration. Your coworkers are lucky to have you and we are lucky to listen to you. Take care young man.

Like, Seerat, like, like.
March 2022: Seerat is still here and still saying “like” all the time and completely not having a real clue about NBA history . My suggestion is she just listen to Jackie MacMullan to learn what a pro sounds like. I would rate the show higher if I knew we were getting more Jackie and less Seerat or if I were sure Seerat had stopped saying like all the time. And Chris is saying “like” more often too on other episodes when I check. But this was just one episode and Jackie is really working on the Book of Basketball right now. So still one star until the Seerat situation is fixed one way or another. Nov 2021: Seerat is knowledgeable, but if I were to create a word cloud of her talking, “like” would be is size 96 font and every other word would be in size 4. Podcasting is an audible medium and that kind of verbal tick is unlistenable. I am no longer listening when she is on. Seerat, get rid of your use of “like”, and I will come back.

Do some research
They have a guest on the show (Jonathan Tjarks) who speaks frequently about his strong Christian faith and just wrote a touching article about his son possibly growing up without a father as he’s battling cancer. So, Raja immediately drops a bunch of profanity and then asks Tjarks, “do you have kids?” Know who you’re talking to, guys.

“Upside High” Review
I generally really enjoy the Ringer’s content and coverage. But I have to give some feedback about “Upside High”. The focus (on young players with potential) is great, and fills a big gap in NBA podcasting. But it’s hard for me to listen to the dynamic between J Kyle Mann and Tjarks. I know they joke about “giving each other a hard time”—but, it often just sounds like two people who genuinely do not like each other very much. In particular, Tjarks’ consistent interruptions, reminders to Kyle to give details (that actually aren’t necessary—you don’t have to talk down to the listener, and you certainly can fill in the gaps without the constant interruptions)—and critiques of Kyle’s perspectives make the podcast sound more like a passive-aggressive argument than a thoughtful partnership between two like-minded people. It distracts from their actually interesting thoughts, especially from J Kyle’s.

Chris and the guests are fine on this podcast. Seerat however, brings nothing to this podcast. I am very confused why she is a host of this show. She seems to bring this show down. My favorite episodes are when she is not on this podcast. I am not trying to hate on the women aspect. However, all she says is stuff me ( a casual NBA fan ) already knows. Better off going to a bar and talking about basketball
Raja Bell is the only one who knows what they’re talking about. All the others want to be Zach Lowe but lack basketball knowledge, are too lazy to do any below the surface research, and are full off flash in the pan hot takes. Hit or Miss
There’s major ups, major downs since the line up changes. Some pods have great content and/or interviews. Raja, Logan, Tjarks (when available, god bless you), Mahoney, are very solid. Some are just okay: Wos, Verrier and Chris have their pros and cons. Many pods are really subpar content-wise. I listen to a wide range of podcasts and I’ve never heard a host or guest an any podcast of any kind say something along the lines of “I don’t know enough or watch enough about the topic to have an opinion” as much as Seerat says to Chris . Well, that’s why the listeners are here, is for your informed opinion, on all the teams, all year, if this is going to be your role at the Ringer. Several times in the past couple months alone she’s had to punt on pretty straightforward questions and just reverse the question back to Chris. It’s just unacceptable for a 30-team content podcast at a company like this. Overall, it’s an okay lineup but this used to be a very high quality set of shows, and the dip in overall ratings recently is perfectly appropriate.

Awful
Could we please have a podcast that doesn’t fixate on the same 6 teams. Your audience isn’t the casual ESPN viewer and no one outside Bill Simmons and the greater Boston metro area gives a rip about the Celtics. At least the NFL hacks on GetUp are interesting.

The Answer needs work….
Edit: Sorry have to downgrade 1 star because The Answer is unlistenable. We’ve given Seerat enough time to acclimate, but her commentary is just not where it needs to be. Oftentimes she is basically incoherent and the other host has to pick up the slack. Also there’s no chemistry on the show at all and just generally nothing sparkling about the setup. I think this spot should be replaced by a prerecorded call in show & have diff hosts! Another player would be great or someone who has called games. 1) WOS single handedly revived The Group Chat. Forreal - I was ready to unsubscribe. Great pick. 2) Love Real Ones - we definitely need more representation in a majority minority league! Logan and Raja bring it every week. Also they have very good guests. Loved hearing Enes Kanter, Kendrick Perkins, Steve Kerr etc. Excited to see who they bring this season.

Condescending Host Outside of the Real Ones
There’s a fine line between critiquing players and disrespecting them. Actually there isn’t, and hosts can often times come off as disrespectful and condescending to many players that they choose not to like for reasons outside of basketball, i.e. diction and race. They can often times feel as if they understand more about basketball than the professionals that have played and studied this game for the entirety of their lives. I for one don’t love that players make so much money either, but the market is set and they have the skills that the market desires. Belittling players that don’t play to your standard really highlights your jealousy and insecurities. Being snarky won’t change that. Be objective and speak about the game and those that carry it on in a humanizing way.

Misinformation, Opinions grounded in Agenda.
After listening to the pod on “Racism and Misogyny under Robert Sarver” I found myself wondering if there is any fact based reporting on the Ringer, or if it’s strictly an agenda based podcast. I lik Raja, I think he’s incredibly smart and informative, usually. This podcast felt like a straight up hit piece and there were so many holes in the diatribe that was being spit by Logan and Raja. Could Sarver be a racist and still hire an African American coach in Earl Watson and James Jones? Sure, I guess, but we may be twisting terminology and definitions to fit the agenda here. Is Sarver a misogynist because he told Raja’s wife that she is “lucky to have him”??? That sounds to me like taking someone’s decent intentions and twisting them to sound like he’s minimizing Raja’s wife and her miscarriage. We live in a time where everything has to be peaches and cream in a work place, or else we complain and shake the tree for change instead of doing what we are hired to do. Sarver sounds immature, annoying and if anything, flawed. As we all are. With the alleged things Sarver has done, to compare this to Donald Sterling and say things like “get him out of the NBA” just screams agenda to me. This podcast lost all credibility with me.

Not What it Used to Be
I used to be a religious listener but the departure of many of the best podcasters from the Ringer and the addition of Wos makes it almost unlistenable at times. If Wos is on occasionally ok but he’s on all the time and to be honest is grating and rambling. I just have to turn it off after a couple minutes. I wanted to like Real Ones but it’s a meh for that too. I still listen to The Mismatch weekly and that’s a much more enjoyable listening experience than this. Good and Bad
The Good: Big Wos, Seerat, Tjarks, Kyle Mann. They know what they’re talking about and think for themselves instead of just agree with what everyone else says. The bad: Verrier, Mahoney. They act like they’re too cool to actually watch basketball like it’s a hassle for them, have lazy takes or just agree with what the other person said instead of probably because they don’t watch so they can’t have an opinion. Mediocre: Logan and Raja and CR

Real ones
I generally love the show, especially during the season when there are games to talk about. Logan is a good host, and Raja has great insights as a former player. They have great chemistry and are funny dudes. But during the off-season the show has been dreadful, unless you are a warriors or lakers fan. That’s all they have been talking about! I don’t need to listen to a discussion about jordan Poole every episode! I don’t need to listen about how the lakers roster is going to fit together! There are 28 other teams in the league! Anyway, I can’t wait to listen when the season starts and they talk about more teams.

Seerat and Wos….
I honestly went to the reviews to see if I was the only one who thought Seerat and Wos were unbearable… turns out I’m like everyone. This week’s “The Answer” completely drove me over the edge… it’s already been mentioned Seerat says “like” a lot… but she really gets lost half way through the rambles. Wosney is arrogant beyond belief. If he’s the Ringer’s comic relief it’s not working, and it’s just overall not fun hearing him talk about the game… which he doesn’t really do anyway… he just gossips about/tears down players.

Going downhill with some of the newer additions
I used to love this podcast but it has been going downhill lately. Wosney Lambre and Seerat Sohi are brutal to listen too. Neither are very eloquent when they speak, which you think they would make up for with their NBA knowledge….they don’t. They fill their sentences with lots of “ums”, “you knows”, awkward laughs and just overall poor NBA analysis. It’s clear the other hosts don’t know how to respond to their takes and it creates awkward dialogue. Cut them both. Bring back Jonathan Gonzales and Kevin O’Connor in their spots.

Like…um…uhhhh…ummm…like - Seerat
I love this show. Great insights, personalities (for the most part) and topics; however, I have a love/hate impression of Seerat. One one-hand, she is incredibly well-informed and thoughtful, but she sounds like a stoner if I’m being honest; to the point it’s distracting. Every other word she says is either “Um”, “Like”, “Uh” and it’s extremely distracting. Again, her input is awesome if you can get past the “Spiccoli” language but please, Seerat, try to sound engaged because your takes are amazing! But it’s hard to enjoy when you sound stoned out of your mind and saying “Um” and “like” between every word.

Rachel Nichols does the white power symbol with her hand at the start of most games. It broke my heart the first time I saw it at the preseason Nets game. It is hard to watch her since then. Every time I see at the beginning of games and she gives her monologue, her right hand holds the mic and the left hand goes to the symbol. It is soul crushing to see. It devastated my children and I. That is horrible thing to do to children, to allow it to continue. I hope that she goes and restarts somewhere so else that she can rebuild the trust in her, to come back to do what she seems liked she wanted to do at some point. It clearly has become something else to her. Let her do that something else away from our sons and daughters.

Great variety of NBA info & opinions
Long time listener, first time reviewer. There are at least three separate NBA talk shows within this podcast, my favorite of them being the Mismatch. Kevin and Chris have shared a lot of life together over the last few years and have a chemistry that rivals all others. They are able to capture the argumentative vibe of first take, while staying civil and respectful to each other. It’s clear they admire each other and love doing what they do. Their opinions on the NBA seem to naturally differ and that lends to great variance in opinions and takes. Genuine arguments about NBA current events. 👍🏼👍🏼 Verrier’s takes make me rage quit the show sometimes. I don’t think I ever agree with what he says. Lately it’s his Donovan Mitchell slander 🙄

The Ringer has some of the most talented and well-articulated basketball analysts in the world. I love consuming this type of content. Put it in an IV and stick in my body. Now, to echo all of the other recent comments, the quality has fallen off a cliff with the addition of Wos. Wosny Lambre has terrible takes. Tjarks is a genius.
Wosny Lambre is a garbage addition to this show. Terrible opinions… like hearing some fan that watches more games than average spit out thoughtless takes without ever digging deeper. Cut this guy. Listen for yourself. Maybe some of you like him. But I like the guys that give analysis based on facts, and big view and insightful past. Lambre is like Beadle. Garbage don’t last. Tjarks is incredible on the take, the instinct, then the support behind the take. Anddddd Terrible Last Dance quick response shows. Check them out and judge for yourself!

What happened to this show?
I hadn’t listened to a while and it’s a whole new cast with Raja and a couple other annoying dudes. No substance. They’re ranting and yelling and not talking about anything worth listening to. Worst nba podcast I’ve heard In a while.

Raja is great. Murdock is unlistenable.
Great anecdotes about the sushi, the $1.5 million dollar homes, and the terrible parking in San Francisco, Murdock. No idea what else was discussed because I moved on to something else. I gave him the benefit of the doubt for a couple episodes prior to today’s ep, but it seems he really is that obnoxious.

Raja’s co-host is insufferable
The Logan guy (and Sacha, whoever that is) makes listening to this podcast feel like straight up torture. Screeching voice, strong opinions on topics he obviously knows nothing about, prison-tier vocabulary. The show was never great but now it’s downright horrible. Raja is solid though.

Wos has ruined group chat
Prayers out to Tjarks and his family. Replacing him with Wos is a big loss for the group chat pod. The other hosts treat Wos very strangely, sort of childish and fawning...maybe because they’re uncomfortable having a black co-host? It’s a very weird vibe now.

Real ones ruined the ringer
1st they need to separate the shows so I can subscribe to the one I like and not to the ones I dislike. I enjoyed real ones for a while, I liked hearing the perspective of a former player. However I stopped listening after the hosts started shoving their political agenda down my throat. I understand the urge to use a platform like this to talk about current events and politics but sometimes I want to hear about basketball not the tragedies of the world. They really crossed the line when the hosts made the claim, “all white people are racist”. I didn’t enjoy being called a racist purely on the basis of my own skin color. Seems quite hypocritical to me. Edit: just gotta add this cause they hired Wosny Lambre. I listened to him on a group chat episode and I think it was the best episode I’ve heard. Wos introduced some conflict and personality to what was pretty much a dull circle jerk before. He even got the other hosts to get fired up, most of the time they’re very tame. Wos for rookie of the year, good job Bill.

Duh 2 things: games have been absent in arena fans making games less electric. The Warriors were more entertaining than any champion in recent memory + interest in their rivalry with Le Bron James. All the things you are talking about are silly. To say sports were not going to have a fall off without in person fans is ridiculous. The most enervating thing in sports was when the Dubs at home would in 2 minutes create a fifteen to twenty point scoring shift and the Oracle was rocking, “Warriors....Warriors....Warriors”

I’m done with this one
I’m finished. Tired of this podcast. They seem to chase off anyone good. Have no idea how Group Chat is a show, considering how condescending they are and how often they are incorrect (I mean, I’m incorrect all the time but I’m not an “expert”). This show kinda of feel like if NBA PR was a living podcast, as they constantly repeating the same story and towing the line. Also they started hiring scabs and calling them “independent” contractors. No wonder so many good people are leaving the Ringer

The ringer NBA needs more black voices Duh
@joey44104 how racist can you be? Raja Bell only got an nba podcast because he’s black? How about the fact he played and was an executive in the Nba for years. The racism pointed towards them is eye opening. The white hosts talk about the same issues the black ones do but you only criticize “real ones” for. Ring political. Logan Murdock is the most annoying figure at the ringer. Raja has to carry him every episode.. Logan needs someone to whisper in his ear every now and then to shut up and let the big dawg(s) talk. We get it, you hate the national anthem, but not all of us do.
Since when has an NBA podcast prioritized pushing their political agenda down your throat before talking about BASKETBALL. I’ve listen to this podcast for the last 5 years and today I was pushed over the edge with Raja’s explanation on the national anthem. I understand you have certain ideals and opinions on the anthem and the flag, but that doesn’t make them correct. Stick to basketball and leave all the identity politics out of it.

Not going in the right direction
People like consistency, all these “programs” should be like 2 or 3 different podcasts, feels less compelling when all crammed into one. Also another thing I used to love about the ringer podcast that was different from so many other basketball pods was how rooted it was in the current basketball week. When It was just the two segments (Vernon+O’Connor, Group Chat) the pod just get very present, current realities, mistakes of judgment from these guys, how this team pulled it off, which player was impressive, current standing battles, what to look forward to next week. Getting into the nitty gritty of that week’s basketball was awesome. Now it’s heading into the direction of too many other pods: trying to discuss the long game, full of hypotheticals and not even mentioning what games were played this week, talking about players in theories. Maybe this still happens, but it’s so spread thin across so many segments? My suggestion and hope: Simplify please! Talk about the previous day’s basketball. Edit: I realize big part of what’s happened: they got The Mismatch its own pod, it was a lot of what I usually came here to hear

Real Ones
I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoy Real Ones. I didn’t know who Logan was and had never heard Raja talk about the NBA before. I am really glad I gave the show a try anyways. They have good chemistry, book exciting guests (ie a lengthy interview with Tim Duncan!), and provide great insight into the NBA. Logan is a great host and Raja provides analysis that honest and fair to the current players (something that I find is not too about too many NBA analysts). One of my favorite NBA podcasts.

The real ones is trash/ 76ers over hype feed
Honestly EVERYTIME I listen it drags....political takes, hot takes, hot trash. Raja is ok I suppose for the most part The other shows, are dookie too. Nothing but 76ers hype when they’ve been eliminated every year and Ben Simmons plays like trash. Even when other teams are doing good they circle around to the 76ers. Even Bill “back in 86” Simmons doesn’t talk about the Celtics as much. I’m so glad the mismatch has its own feed. But seriously a podcast shouldn’t be an echo chamber of bad takes, and circling around the same topics. Seriously the real ones and there trash dj mustard type beat are so bad! They come at everything with low energy, bad takes, Logan is boring and doesn’t know anything. And politics..... have either one of them ever experienced anything they bring up....don’t speak on it if it hasn’t happened to you !

Logan and Raja’s SJW Show
I have an overwhelmingly number of good podcasts I am subscribed to. This was one of my hit or miss shows. If they are blowing hot air one week, simply skip the episode. I came for basketball commentary and left because of lack of quality discussions. I am here to escape from reality (like most sports fans). Please talk about the sport and stop talking about social justice. The nuance of our current political climate is complicated and polarizing. Hot take journalism is fun when your talking about the NBA, but you lose me when you take the same approach to social justice issues. I will be back when The Ringer gets analysts who discuss basketball again.

Not as good as it used to be
This feed was better 18 months ago. I’ve migrated to the Mismatch and listen to other NBA podcasts now. Raja Bell’s behind-the-scenes look at the NBA is interesting but it gets tired (back in the day…) and his analysis is shallow. Logan Murdock is great and I wish he was paired with someone with better NBA takes. The rest of the feed is basically a 76ers podcast. Also, how can you have an episode themed on begging Bradley Beal to demand a trade? That’s just wrong. Finally, Dan Devine brought really good analysis and Haley O’Shaughnessy was pleasantly absurd. I miss them. There is no shortage of smart NBA minds who are female—it seems like there should be at least one female across the sprawling Ringer NBA podcast world.

The Lack of Diversity in opinion and Color
It’s alarming how much is agreed upon on many nba podcasts and media in general. But i believe that to be a byproduct of the lack of diversity on shows like this as well. I say this as a former subscriber. I would say I hope things change but honestly I don’t care. I will say more opportunities or at least platform need to be offered to media members of color as well as former players. I now choose to listen to other pods and shows that reflect an NBA I watch and opinions as diverse as the ppl the on the programs.

Enough about Raja
Hey Logan and Raja, I surely respect your opinions about the NBA but if I have to listen to you guys talk about Raja’s slightly above average NBA career one more time I’m going to drive my car into a tree. Please save a tree, my car and myself and talk about things currently happening in the NBA. Thank you, KA

Raja Bell show
There is enough going on in the NBA that I don’t really care to listen about Raja Bell for hours. No disrespect I loved him as a player ,just not what I came here for.

KOC is good. The other guy—ugh
Kevin O’Connor is smart and interesting to listen to. He needs a much better co-host than this “Verno” guy. He yells a lot but doesn't really say anything.

KOC and Verno
KOC and Verno are my favorite nba podcast and it’s not even close.... the mismatch and other guys podcast are near my least favorite podcast. Nothing is more exciting than firing up the pod and hearing it KOC and Verno... likewise it’s pure disappointment once I realize they aren’t on a pod... these podcasts should be split to separate pages.

The mismatch
The Mismatch is enjoyable, for the most part, but please, for the love of god, stop arguing about Westbrook and Harden because literally nobody wants to listen to that for the 100th time.

Mismatch Reigns Supreme
Love KOC and Verno. Other pods are solid, but Mismatch definitely takes the cake. I’ll actually take as much KOC content as I can get, I love when he’s featured on other pods as well. Seems like he and Verno have a great friendship and chemistry together.

Give Mismatch their own feed
Confusing that this is all one feed. I don’t listen to the other shows and I am not more likely to listen to them because they’re in the same feed.

Do better
KOC is awesome. Vernon is garbage. KOC deserves a better podcast partner who doesn’t just yell loudly and cackle when he can’t argue against a point.

Geeky millenials
These guys are the biggest basketball nerds you ever heard in your life. One of the guys - his name is Tjarks - talks in that way where every phrase is pronounced like a question and goes 'up' at the end - he sounds like Mark Zuckerberg. Why can't these kids talk properly?

The Mismatch carries The Ringer
Vernon & O’Connor carry The Ringer NBA Show podcasts. The Mismatch never fails to bring some hot takes, good banter, and some interesting insight. Raja Bell is another great addition, but I find some of the other hosts/shows less interesting. All in all, they are produced well and supply basketball fans with plenty of entertainment.

Love pretty much all the shows
My favorites are the mismatch with KOC and Verno and the new one with Logan and Raja. Great to hear another knowledgeable duo talking hoops, great insight from Raja and Logan knows how to keep it entertaining.

The Mismatch is all about trash talk
Chris and Kevin are keen basketball fans, and Kevin provides a lot of good analysis, but the most entertaining part of the show are the hot takes and trash talk. Chris Vernon must be paid to channel Bill Simmons’ id as he trashes the Lakers mercilessly despite watching them dominate every team they’ve played. That’s got to be the reason he ignores the Lakers' historically significant records (54-0 when leading after 3 quarters, 17-game win streak on the road vs the West, and what could be a 16-3 playoff run). If his hot takes provided any bulletin board inspiration in the locker room, Lakers fans give thanks to him and hope he keeps up the good work next season.

Is Vernon supposed to sound stupid?
Serious question, is that the point of the Mismatch? Pair a high basketball iq young writer with an idiot old guy, a true mismatch.

Mismatch is great, so is Raja, but Logan is awful
Chris and Kevin are the best show in the business - bar none. Insight, entertainment....it has it all. The Real Ones is a nice addition, and Raja’s insights are great, but Logan is awful - get Raja a better Co-host

“Oh... alright, I guess”
Want to start this saying, Raja is a dope hire.. he’s so good, I reluctantly listen .. but when I click play on this podcast and Logan is in the intro, I’m instantly just disappointed .. It’s not fair that these shows are on the same podcast, they’re wildly different

The Laker focus is exhausting
So today’s episode purports to breakdown game 3 a game Denver won. So we bring on a Laker broadcaster and`talk about how great the Lakers are? This is a consistent problem in the episodes during the playoffs. The Lakers are not the only good team ... perhaps the team that won should get some attention?

One Time Fail
I normally really enjoy this show. When the Philly opening was discussed at the end people got lazy. Bring in the best five “guys”. How do you think Becky Hammon would feel listening to this? Where was her name in the conversation? Do you think Ben and Joel would dismiss her advice? Total failure tonight.

Into the NBA Commentary
Maybe consider making a WNBA pod separately? It just feels like it’s taking from the NBA stuff, and I’m not particularly interested in other leages.
