Since its launch in 1997, The Moth has presented thousands of true stories, told live and without notes, to standing-room-only crowds worldwide. Moth storytellers stand alone, under a spotlight, with only a microphone and a roomful of strangers. The storyteller and the audience embark on a high-wire act of shared experience which is both terrifying and exhilarating. Since 2008, The Moth podcast has featured many of our favorite stories told live on Moth stages around the country. For information on all of our programs and live events, visit themoth.org.

Fed up
I love the podcast I just wish that every other story wasn’t about some person being oppressed and some way or another, it just seems like a common narrative in today’s society that if you’re gay or black, you must be a second class citizen. America has come so far from where it once was and there is little to no acknowledgment of this. I understand that these are people stories, and how they view the world. I wish that social media and society at large would do a better job of acknowledging our progress rather than sitting in the past. If your goal is to make people think that straight white males are evil and never going to change, you are so very close to achieving that goal!

The Peoples Program
I started listening to MOTH in 2005. After I moved into my first house and after Hurricane Katrina. I moved to NC in 2003, bringing my mother here from California so that my sister and I could take care of her. My mother was diagnosed with Leukemia and was in the fourth stage when it was diagnosed. Listening to MOTH helped me to get through this.

Miss the old shows
I loved this show when it first came out and saved several episodes from 2009-2010. The old violin music was so much better than the jarring horn intro and I miss the old Dan Kennedy intros. Edgar Oliver was THE BEST!

Re-runs
Used to love this podcast and now it’s been the same stories over and over. I’ve only been listening for three years but every time I put it on recently it’s multiple stories I’ve already heard. There are so many unique stories out there and archives filled with recordings why play the same ones over and over, especially so closely together? It feels lazy like they can’t be bothered to edit new episodes or find fresh voices.

I’ve introduced my 96 year old dad to the world of podcasts and this by far his favorite. (I love it too) We sit and listen together, it reminds him of his youth sitting around the radio with family. The format is wonderful for him, holds his interest, and brings many nods, smiles, and laughs.

I LOVE this podcast! I work in landscaping, so all day long I work and listen to The Moth. This show makes my day go by so fast! Just yesterday a stranger stopped me and asked what I was listening to. He said he see me working often and I’m always smiling and laughing, I told him it was because of The Moth. I definitely recommended this podcast to him.

Same thing over and over
The same stories are repeated over and over. It’s fun to listen to for awhile but then you either have to power through hearing a story for a 3rd or 4th time, or spend time skipping. There have been a lot of great and entertaining stories so I still give it 3/5 stars. Also, with the book coming out the hosts seem self indulgent. I could have done without episodes of their conversation around writing a book. We get it. So snooty.

Love, but…
I adore the moth. It’s one of my favorite podcasts, possibly my very favorite. But it’s been a bummer to hear so much repeated content lately. I wish at least episodes were better marked saying that this one was previously aired and is a repeat of a previous show. There's just not a lot of new content lately and that’s a bummer.

Roe vs Wade
I have enjoyed the stories and podcast in general until recently where the podcast is being used as a one sided political tool. I would love it if the Moth would give a voice to all sides. Personal responsibility and “choice” is usually at the point of conception. I do believe there should be exceptions for a few limited reasons. Remember, you can judge the character of a person by what they do for those can do nothing for them.

What is “truth?!”
Hi. I was just listening to your episode about 25 years of storytelling. And there may be more than one episode because I think I’ve listened to at least two! But anyway, the discussion I just heard today was about whether or not people’s stories are authentic and about fact-checking. I want to comment about one thing which I’m surprised you didn’t address. Studies have shown time and time again that human memories can actually be quite inaccurate. And that applies to memories from a couple of days ago to memories from several years ago. Human beings swear in courts of law things they said and heard, and they can be wildly inaccurate. All of us hear, see, and experience life through our own filters. I’m not saying there is no such thing as truth. And I’m not saying that the stories told at the Moth are all inaccurate. I myself told a story at a Seattle Moth event a few years back, and it sure was true to me!l as best as I recalled it. I know one of the things you say in the Moth introductions is that a story is told as best remembered (and is as accurate as deemed possible) by the storyteller. I just think it’s important since you addressed this topic in this podcast to remember that no one remembers things as they actually happened. That’s impossible. Every single person in the story will have a different story. And the story-teller himself will feel and think differently over time as the event pulls away into the distance. I am a champion of authenticity and integrity. I’m not talking about those things. I’m talking about the humanness of our brains, most especially when emotions are tied to our thoughts and memories. But then being completely factual and accurate isn’t the point of storytelling, anyway. At least not to me. Story-telling means much more in the larger context of human experience. And I’m so very grateful that it is your life work to bring these stories to us! Thank you, Moth!! ~ Anna

The Voices of the Moth Shines Light on Important Subjects
Some episodes are entertaining, some are thought provoking, and some are serious. All tell important messages with brilliance. As a 59 year old, white, cisgender, educated male CEO with lots of life experiences, I didn’t think much could make me emotional. Realistically, I am the embodiment of privilege. But I shed tears while listening to the Bodily Autonomy episode. Thank you to the Moth and all of the story tellers for using both individually and collective voices to tell worthwhile stories and in the instance of the Bodily Autonomy, to eloquently deliver strong messages.

They really know how to give you all the feels. I’ve laughed out loud and cried big alligator tears to this podcast on multiple occasions. I’m nearly always entertained, touched, and feeling more connected to humanity. I feel like I’m always learning so much about people and the differences in our lives and circumstances and experiences. I can't listen to any other podcast
Well produced podcasts are nice, don't get me wrong, but there is something so refreshing about the lack of structure inherent to the moth. It's not trying to be clever, and it's not trying to provide any hot tips or breaking news. It's the friend I NEED during this pandemic, sitting next to me and telling me a fantastic story about their life. And then another. And maybe 10 more...or 10 hours more...Once, while I was driving cross country, (and easily 10 hours deep into the Moth) a familiar voice gushed through my speakers, and before I knew it I was balling while listening to my college roommate tell a story I'd heard hundreds of times. Whether I *actually* know them or not, each storyteller hits home in a different way. I have probably listened to thousands of Moth stories at this point and every single one of them was worth it.

Focus on good stories
Really good (or just good) stories are few and far between. Many stories seem coached rather than spontaneously told and heartfelt. Too much humble bragging, performative sincerity, virtue signaling, and rehearsed maudlin schmaltz. The podcast just seems a little over-produced and a bit forced. Hard to stay interested, frankly.

Take some water with you!!!
I love the show! However You hosts could improve the recordings by offering water to storytellers to take on stages. Nothing sounds more irritating than a nervous person with a dry tongue sticking to their mouth as they tell a story. It is distracting. Great podcast though!!! Update: 10/6/21 You guys are still letting people go on stage with awful dry mouth. Ugh.

Beautiful storytelling
Moth stories cover all of the bases: they make me laugh, cry, get angry, and learn (and more!). Sometimes I can’t even listen to them if I’m emotionally tired because I know that these stories will poke into my heart and rattle things loose. Some stories are so hilarious or beautiful that I find myself thinking about them later and then I end up circling back to relisten.

I absolutely love this podcast. I’d been searching unsuccessfully for an interesting podcast I hadn’t already exhausted the episodes of. Stumbled across this one somehow magically and WOW! Love it so much. So interesting and sometimes my husband gives me a confused look as I laugh riotously (AirPods) and sometimes throws an even more confused look my way when, the next minute, sad tears are running down my face. The only thing I don’t understand is why - as good as it was!! - the astronaut application story is repeated in at least 10 episodes so far in my binge listening over the last week..

Just random stories…
…and that very well may be what you’re looking for. The audiences for these live tellings are Generous with a capital-G. They laugh and laugh at stories that, in my opinion, are really not funny at all. Lighthearted? Sure. Rehearsed? Probably. Comedy™️? Absolutely not. Even the pacing and aesthetic of the dramatic, darker stories didn’t allow me to empathize and feel what I know the storyteller wants me to feel. Guess I had to be there. Idk, if you’re looking to listen to strangers tell anecdotes within a certain theme and get laughs and gasps like they’re at an open mic with the most open-minded and willing audience members in the world, this is the podcast for you.

Source of encouragement every week
I love listening to The Moth every week! It’s become typical to find myself in tears, laughing, or gasping aloud at stories. Thank you for this wonderful programming — it’s carried me through the pandemic. My only (really my only) bone to pick is the sound of the theme music. It’s really loud and jarring, and I find myself scrambling to lower the volume. Don’t know if anyone reads this but would appreciate your consideration! :) (updating this months later to say I still really hope you change or lower the volume of the theme music)

Wonderful—most of the time.
Generally, the stories are incredible, well-told, and deeply impactful. Some will have me in tears or laughing uncontrollably. However, sometimes the stories are just…bad? Not the worst I’ve ever heard, but unremarkable stories that lack any plot or escalation. Additionally, I dislike the way every story ends explicitly with the moral or the “what I learned” or “what the significance is” bit. I wish they would let their narratives speak more for themselves rather than spell out the lessons and meanings.

I wish that we could comment on each episode. No biggie… I had a similar, though less developed experience. I started making rock stacks on my walks. They became more elaborate, and I feel a few rose to the level of art. My best was a 5 feet across octopus. One day I looked up from my stacking and a man smiled and said “so you’re the rock sculpture of Dan Fansisquito canyon!” I was awash in love and pride to have such a title! I later saw other random acts of beauty in the area, like a barrel cactus planted on a bald hilltop, and georgeous tree branch sculptures!❤️✌️

Unfortunate
This used to be such a great show. Unfortunately it turned into propaganda. Too bad, because this could have been an actual place where people heard a diversity in thought and learned to connect with people despite their different viewpoints. Now it’s only one train of thought- zero diversity. At least the live venues when they start up again can not remove that aspect, people have equal opportunity to share their perspectives and experiences there.

There are many better options
As a long time listener and live show attendee, I’ve supported The Moth because of the real and unscripted stories people shared. Every episode or show it would be a mystery as to who and what we were going to hear, and whether sad or uplifting, we knew the journey would at least take us somewhere new. But with the evolution of the show, the the liberal bias of the production has become so skewed that the content selected from producers seems nothing more than a tired, contrived slant on a narrative - exactly the thing I came to The Moth to get away from. After hearing a forced “free” promotion for something call the Confessional podcast embedded into an episode, I realized I had enough of this homogenized, unoriginal content and will unsubscribe. It’s not the storytellers - I’ve been to several live shows and they are as wonderful and inspiring as ever - it’s the production of the show and its capitulation to what probably amounts to nothing more than better numbers. Bottom line, The Moth has enough daring to repeatedly diminish and ridicule anyone or anything even daring to espouse conservative or religious values, but doesn’t have the conviction to actually make a stance on where they stand, which I would at least have respect for. If you really want new, original content that comes across unapologetically raw and unbent (without awkwardly trying to feel ‘edgy’), then I recommend listening to Risk, a much better podcast.

Funny, poignant, diverse, well-paced, BUT....
I love all but ONE element of this podcast! I love the diversity of stories and hosts, the hosts voices., the pace, even some of the ads (!) (though the ads do get repetitive!). My only “but” is the jarring, ear-splitting intro/ending MUSIC. What the heckkkk?? Serenely listening along, then “Doooo-Thwangggg!”, and I am jolted off center (especially when listening at night). Please consider something calmer, more melodious!

Forever a favorite podcast
Storytelling is one of the oldest and most powerful methods of learning and healing in human history. I’ve listen to many storytelling podcasts, and this is hands-down the best, both across categories with prepared topics and categories with open-mic experiences. Moth stories have brought me great laughter, tears, and wisdom, and I know that the experience of getting onstage and speaking to an audience has meant a great deal for many narrators as well. Never change, Moth

I listened to every available store thus far (03/08/2021) and I’m craving more! I liked the mixture of emotions the stories pull out of you. While at work one minute I’m laughing uncontrollably and the next I’m crying imagining myself in the situation/story being told. Good job guy and I’m looking forward to hearing many more stores. Thank you from South Alabama!

Great in almost all ways
Wonderful variety of entertaining, thought-provoking stories, about endless topics and from many perspectives. The one sour note (actually, series of sour notes) is the blast of music at the start and end of each episode. Sometimes I don’t skip it in time, and it really makes me wince.

Incredible, (but formulaic?)
Some of the stories floor me, mesmerize me, bring me to tears, and strike my heart strings. Other times stories are infuriatingly boring or trite. Some of the storytelling methods, word choice and humor feel formulaic, as if the moth guidance sometimes takes away the natural form someone might naturally tell it, which often doesn’t work in it’s favor. In the stories timing is everything. Very insightful, and the format of short oral histories makes for an incredible archive of the human experience. Love the range of perspectives.

Amazing
I adore “The Moth!” Snippets and stories about people’s lives. It’s like a little magic box that you never know what is inside. Their most recent episode included a story told by Duff McKagen, of Guns & Roses, that made me absolutely WEEP. At the risk of sounding like a jerk, I was so utterly impressed that a rock-star, someone who doesn’t rely entirely on nuance to make such a healthy living, could articulate such a difficult, and then ultimately beautiful story.

Uplifting, heart-wrenching, human.
The stories told in this program expand your perception of the breadth of human experience. They latch onto your empathy and bring you into the best and worst moments in your fellow human’s lives; they hold on to otherwise fleeting moments of realization and make them available for understanding. It’s an amazing show that will make you cry, but will also make you feel connected to every other person on this planet. A must-listen, every week.

Stories are powerful for humanity
It’s important to hear stories from all kinds of people, especially those who we don’t know in real life. We are all human, though we have such unique and varied experiences. I don’t love every one of them, but that’s because i’m a human. I usually learn something though. Enjoy it immensely!

So *affected*!!!
I typically like the content of the stories, but the performative pressure of these sessions falls flat. There’s a reason some people are performers and the general populace is not. After this gained more popularity, the performances can be so self indulgent that I absolutely cannot listen. If I hear the intro come on I immediately turn off NPR, which is something I only do for this show.

Great!
I don’t know that they’re pushing a political agenda, I believe they’re trying to share more stories from people of color and LGBT+ people which I think is a great idea. The moth is about storytelling and empathy. Part of that is listening to everyone, not just people who are the same as you. I’m very sorry to hear that some people are bothered by this, I would have hoped it would opened some hearts and minds, but alas, we have a long way to go. Thank you to the moth for promoting inclusivity and community (which is not something that should be exclusive to the “left”).

Disappointed
I’ve been a subscriber and faithful listener to this podcast for years but I now find myself removing it from my library. I’ve loved the wide array of stories and experiences of people around the world that cover such a huge range of emotions. Over the past few months, however, the topics have become so politically charged and biased that I can’t listen any longer. It’s unfortunate that one of my favorite podcasts has become yet another outlet pushing a political agenda. I’ve turned off the news and television for this reason and yet here we are again with more of the same. Good luck to you Moth but if this is the direction you’re going, you’re going without my support.

Took a break, then tried it again
I originally enjoyed listening because of the variety of unique stories. They were fun and personal. Then there were too many stories about one topic. The hosts seemed to have their own agenda. I tried The Moth again recently and they are back to sharing good stories. Update: Never mind, I spoke too soon. They still have too many one-sided stories with political agendas.

So many ads!
I listened to the Moth about 10 years ago before it became a sensation. I really enjoyed it. I still enjoy the actual stories, but the ads are so corporate and in-your-face I can’t stand it. I listen to other podcasts with ads, and they aren’t so distracting that they take away from the podcast itself. I know the Moth needs revenue, but do they have to pursue in such a corporate culture way?

I love your show and enjoy all the different stories in each episodes. I have learned so much about the different challenges and experiences people face in life. However, I am so disappointed that you “forced” religion on us with The Confessional. I was driving and couldn’t really switch. I was intrigued to see where the story of the guy was going. However it just turned into church preaching. Your audience is diverse and this type of religious podcast was inappropriate. Terrible. I had to turn it off.

Jon Goode and Boots Riley - so great!
I’m a big fan of The Moth. The All Together Now episode hosted by Jon Goode that includes a story by Boots Riley is my favorite so far. Jon’s story about ally ship, his encouragement to see the events happening in the U.S. from another person’s perspective and the point that all large scale change starts with us as individuals made this episode amazing. Definitely keeping an eye (or an ear) out for more from Jon Goode!

The Confessional
Your enthusiastic description led me to expect something far different; more unique. This was straight up “Davey and Goliath,” only more Christian. No insights; no universality. As a nonChristian not well educated in Euro history, I found not enough explanation of core concepts (“grace,” “redemption”) to even really follow the discussion. Can’t fathom why you loaned the Moth brand to this.

Got much better
I enjoyed the Moth, but I quit listening regularly when it seemed like half the stories were about how someone messed up their lives (gambled away their life’s savings, got addicted, had sex with strings of people...) Those stories can have important things to say, but it was the same arc over and over. Now it seems more balanced and I am enjoying it more. They have a formula that they train people to follow which ends the stories with a quaint phrase to try it all up, and that is annoying more than not. Overall though, this podcast has been a lovely escape for me. I’ve cried and laughed and stayed late to finish the story many times. Thanks, Moth creators!

Stop complaining and do something
Apparently we should just let old/sick people die, because we don’t have N95 masks? This is an example of worthless hype—the CDC guidance allows for the use of surgical coverings to allow for the continued care of patients. They don’t suggest that it’s the preferred option, so maybe instead of whining about it, figure out how to build or source supplies. Stop blaming. If the CDC hadn’t modified the requirements, the same reporter would have interviewed the same people to whine about patients dying and not being able to care for them. And no one said that you can’t fold a t-shirt and make your own mask. Stop being gross.

The Confessional
Today, I was feeling bereft of spirit and was looking for spiritual nourishment. I found Nadia Bolz-Weber with The Moth’s new The Confessional podcast, and I am so happy I listened. The prayer for Chris (assuming this was Episode 1) at the end and the comparison to Biblical lives and lessons was real, comforting, inspiring, and fulfilling. Thank you very much. A long time subscriber to The Moth, I so look forward to many episodes of The Confessional. Timely and soothing.

When I wake in the middle of the night and can’t get back to sleep, I need something to tune out the ruminations in my head. I just put in my earbuds and listen to some wonderful podcast. The Moth is one of my favorites. I stay in bed, with the lights off, and it’s akin to falling asleep watching TV, with the added advantage of seeding my dreams with awesome stories. 💕👍

I absolutely love listening to The Moth. The stories can be hilarious, extremely moving and thought provoking. You can feel all these emotions listening to just one podcast. It surely makes the day go faster while on the computer or commuting. I highly recommend it! The stories are so engaging and well done! All the individuals tell their stories as if in a gathering of friends in someone’s home! An excellent job by everyone involved!

Love it! With one tiny correction :)
I LOVE THE MOTH! As the grammar police, I need to correct one mistake I hear the hosts make often. Books and movies are “titled”, NOT “entitled.” “Entitled” means “has the right”, and “titled” means it has a name. The princess wrote a speech titled “I Am Entitled to the Crown.”

Beautifully thought-provoking stories with an edge of honesty and realism that’s rare to find elsewhere. Be prepared to think, laugh, and cry, as you fall into the wonderful world of storytelling. I’m happy to be listening once more and looking forward to seeing my first live show soon.

Used to be good
So many of the storytellers are just narcissists that have been given a large platform to spread their self congratulatory nonsense. It also seems that there is less interest in the quality of a story and more interest in how diverse the demographic is. It’s great to want to include everyone but perhaps there should be screening and some qualifications like: is this a good story? Is the person capable of telling a story? Is the story interesting to anyone else besides the storyteller? Is this a waste of everyone’s time? You lost me completely. I used to love this podcast and now it’s unlistenable. Risk is the only good storytelling podcast left.

Music
I adore Your show, always my favorite podcast to listen to. It is so authentic and genuine - it can make me cry. But I must agree with the criticism about the music You choose for the intro and closing. I always spend that time trying to imagine why You thought this was the best representation of Your storytellers. It is dramatic, but jarring as the other reviewer called it. It takes me out of the reverie I assume for the show. You might give it a second thought. A big fan. . .

Good stories, annoying theme music
I’m at the point of unsubscribing to this podcast. Though the stories are good, the intro and outro music is so jarring, I can’t stand it anymore. Please change to some other music that goes a little better with the stories, most of which are deep, heart wrenching, funny or sad...but typically mellow in tone. The sudden music seriously startles me, unless I’m waiting for it so I can fast forward that part. Thanks.

No lamps, what gives?
Although heart-warming, funny, and a tad bit sad, I was disappointed by the show. It is deceptively named. I thought I was going to hear tips on avoiding bats and finding tasty wool and silk. Also, There wasn’t any discussion of lamps or avoiding candle flames. I’ll definitely avoid throwing a surprise party for my wife if she doesn’t want one though 😂.

I love listening to people tell stories.. always have. This is the best podcast to turn on while you’re working and just listen. I have no expectations, the stories are always like a surprise because you don’t know what they’ll be about, but I always enjoy them... they draw you in and make you feel things. Mostly I laugh, but sometimes I find myself stopping what I’m doing and listening to an especially poignant story. It always makes the work day go by faster as I’m entertained by these raconteurs.

Great show, confusing website
I really love this show and everything you guys do here, but every time you guys reference “themoth.org” to view a picture associated with a story/story teller, I either cannot find the page you’re talking about at all or it takes me 20 minutes of clicking things to accidentally stumble upon it. OR I find the storyteller’s bio and the episode page but not the picture(s) that was said to be there waiting for me to check out. I love this show, and I love that you offer visual extras- all I ask is that you make them more easily accessible or that you give more specific instructions to view them rather than just saying “go to themoth.org”. Maybe include a direct link to the extra content in the show notes?

LOVE most of the stories
I LOVE the Moth and most of the time am very pleased and enjoy the stories. My only complaints- there are a disproportionally high number of stories about gay people and of stories about bad experiences with religious people. I’m so sad to write this review
I’m honestly devastated to write this review. From the bottom of my heart. I’ve been listening to the Moth for years. I often think of the many stories I’ve heard and still recount them to others, however, I recently decided that I can no longer support the Moth. The Moth changed my heart, it opened my mind to people of all walks of life and their stories. I cried, I laughed, I found compassion. The reason I am signing off is that I feel the Moth has started to use their platform for their own personal political agenda. What once was a inclusive podcast for all has now become one sided. What finally pushed me over the edge was they put out a show with very one sided controversial political topics (specifically ones that were very emotional and heart wrenching) the week of the election & at the end of show they told their viewers to “choose wisely”. I was blown away. This felt manipulative, using a heartbreaking stories to garner votes for their preferred stance. In this day in age, with so many people and places divided against each other I was so disappointed to see a podcast, that often promotes togetherness, choose instead to promote division. But alas, people will do what they think is best and right and I guess the Moth thinks this is way to make a better world. Sadly, I don’t agree and will no longer be a listener. Thanks for the good times Moth, they were great while they lasted.

What else can be said?
The Moth is so popular for a reason. It gets down to the basic interest of podcasting— hearing stories. Sometimes it’s a great listen, sometimes it’s a good listen, and sometimes it’s just ehh. Depends on the story teller, which is the most natural facet of the show.

Stop playing repeated stories from sponsors!
I love The Moth. I look forward to it whenever there is a new story that pops up. But lately they have been playing a bonus story at the end of the show sponsored by some company or the other. They are stories that have already played on The Moth and they have a rotation of only two or three stories so I keep getting stuck listening to something I’ve heard very recently. When I’m cooking or showering or falling asleep at night I don’t want to have to pick up my phone again, open the app and choose another podcast. Please stop doing this guys!

Storytelling is a cornerstone of a solid community!!!
The Moth is stunning! Storytelling is essential to any community that desires to grow stronger, closer and function better! When individuals open up to strangers and tell their stories, you are no longer strangers! Storytelling has been a tradition of communities since mankind has had language and communities!!! When we tell our stories to those around us we build sympathy, empathy, friendships, bonds, relationships, and come together! The Moth provides a platform in a community to start building these stronger bonds together and is absolutely essential to building the communities we desire to live in! Once you get to know the stories of your neighbors it is impossible not to have some bond!!! I listen to this podcast every week!!! I have gone to live events and hopefully one day I will tell a story of my own!!! Keep up the good work, building stronger community bonds one storyteller and one story at a time!!!

Really I wanted to love these. & I did love most of the honest story slams & people’s tales of real life experiences & embarrassing stories of youth. Overwhelmingly , every week is guaranteed to have some sob story of the homosexual experience in our straight white society. We get it. You’re here you’re queer get used to it? If your entire existence is based on what you do in bed, you may need a life

Love this podcast
This week’s episode, “The Rest is History” is just wonderful. First hand accounts of the Holocaust are becoming rare. This one is very touching. Also, the story of the Stradivarius violin was so rare!!! A very unique episode, sensitive and insightful.

Best
This was the first podcast I ever listened to, that was a couple years back and I now have many other favorites. The Moth will always be my favorite. I first heard it on NPR on a Saturday in 2012, and I have not missed one episode. I am now also a regular at the Miami Moth story slams! Keep it up, you all rock!

Captivating
These stories are true and interesting and encourage compassion and empathy for others. I relate to some stories and do not relate to most, which broadens my knowledge and perspective of the world and others in it.

Amazing
I’ve been listening to The Moth weekly for the past 4 years and it’s always the highlight of my week. I laugh, I cry, and I’m able to feel part of something bigger than myself when I can listen and understand someone better or know that someone goes through the same struggles as me. I always recommend The Moth to all my friends and family, and when I find a fellow listener I feel instantly connected to them. I love The Moth, and how they share perspectives from all over the world. I can’t rave enough about this podcast

The heart
I rarely listen to a Moth story with a ho-hum response. More often than not, I am moved....to think, to laugh, to disagree, to recall my own past, to challenge my biases. It’s a great program.
