Sorry but no. Soooo negative
I started following her a while back and she had an interesting take on motherhood. But for a while, it has been extremely negative. People should be able to complain and expressed criticism for anything that they want but her vibe and energy is just too sour for me. It doesn’t make me feel good. Everything just seems really gloomy. There are so many other women that are doing this differently, and can shed a light on the bad and all the negatives while remaining a sense of positivity and provide an uplifting vibe.

Negativity..
I heard the ad for this podcast on BMND… thought I’d love it… First episode I listen to is just completely bashing breast feeding. I had to turn it off because the vibe was overall negative and as a mom trying to avoid that mindset… I couldn’t exit fast enough. Wanted to love it.

A shift…
I started listening to your podcast and sent it to literally every mother I know…and husband! Everything you talked about resonated with me and felt true and relatable. Your solo episodes were truly my favorite and felt like a funny conversation with a friend (something much needed during the middle of my day as a default parent). Recently I just can’t stand listening, and it makes me sad. I honestly feel like there has been a shift in your content. You have just been very abrasive and negative, more so than usual. Super negative about literally everything. I understand wanting to be authentic to your feelings, but all you do is complain and it’s hard to relate to.

Slightly disappointed
I started listening and following because I’m a stay at home mom and a lot of what you said really resonated with me. Then you started this formula vs breastfeeding debate 🙄 where all you did was bash breastfeeding. And I get it, formula feeding has been bashed for the longest time so it’s “our turn”. But man, it’s 2023. Why can’t women just choose what’s best for their families without having other people weigh in on it. You included. You have this platform and instead of calling for peace on this topic you’re in-sighting it. It’s just really disappointing to watch you pitting women against each other.

Episode 266
I am listening to this episode about embracing our anger, and my hands couldn’t be farther in the air with support 🙌🏻 Thank you for shining a light on this unheard of topic! I’ve been bringing up how I want to love and embrace the anger within me with my mom friends and all they do is stare back at me blankly. I’m so unsure of myself and if this feeling I have is correct or not and i’m finally getting the reassurance that my instincts are dead on. Thanks again for digging deep and speaking the truth. debbie.

Most relatable podcast ever
I love Renee and her podcast. As a new mom, I feel that Renee is able to enunciate exactly what I think on so many occasions. Her humor is so on point and makes me laugh out loud regularly. Not only is she a relatable mom, she is extensively educated on many topics mom-related, so she really knows her stuff. I would recommend this podcast to any new mom who needs help processing new thoughts and lifestyle changes as well as seasoned moms who can laugh at the “fun parts” of motherhood.

The first podcast I ever wanted to listen to
I never had a desire to listen to any podcasts until after I had been following Renee on Instagram for a few months. I decided to try it as I drive my daughter to and from school and now I try to listen every day. There are episodes with so much good information for parenting but I think I like even more just listening to Renee on her solo episodes discussing her day to day parenting challenges. It definitely helps to not feel so alone in all of the myriad emotions and situations you have as a parent. I love how she’s always advocating for moms and trying to make it so they can feel confident in their parenting decisions. Thank you, Renee!

Renee is so easy to listen to. Love hearing about her toddler stories, relationship and just life things. I’m a toddler mom as well and everything is so relatable. She doesn’t try to come off as perfect and I love it. Cuz being a mom is far from being perfect!

She’s My New Best Friend
I can’t thank you enough Renee. I started listening to your show when I started the new school year, I teach Pre-K in a public school and our son is 9 months old. *insert little people overload!* Instead of listening to my old playlists and music from my 20s on repeat it was time to fill my cup with sisterhood, motherhood, and fun. Your show makes me laugh, cry, and love being a mom. *Side note, I talk about your episodes with my husband and it has uplifted our relationship so much. Love you girl, Thank you :)

Love the mom room!!
I started following Renee on tik tok in 2020 when the pandemic broke out- it was the “it’s not About the pasta tik tok video,” that hooked me- and I’ve been following her ever since. It’s been wonderful watching her grow her business and expand her profession. I trust what she says, and I value that she gives honest opinions- regardless if it upsets people. She is educated, communicates well and is funny., I really enjoy listening to her talk. I just got in to the podcast- because I am not usually a podcast person- but I love this one!!!

My new obsession
Immediate order to work from home in March 2020, and being a mom of 2 kids under 6, can make mom life really lonely. A swirl of “second guessing” and thinking I’m failing at being a mom started to really set in. However, after starting to listen to The Mom Room in the beginning of 2022 has changed my perspective and mental health in a positive way! I swear by this podcast! A must listen for sure!

This is my first time listening to her podcast and honestly I cried. I could relate to her so much! This last month and half have been rough with work, S/O business, family, my dog with chemo and having 4 teacher conferences 😩. I felt like I was the only mom that had those “moments” and felt like I was falling as a mother to my 4 yr old. Thank you so much for been so honest and raw with this podcast ❤️

Every adult that interacts with children… NEEDS THIS!
Do you know a child? Have a child? Spend any part of your life around children? You at least should do yourself a favor and listen to “Momposter”! In today’s society it’s hard to keep yourself “healthy & happy” in every sense of those words. So keeping yourself & a completely dependent human happy & healthy is INSANE! “Momposter” episode validated all those things NO ONE seems to want to talk about! If every human could empathize those feelings, pretty sure only our future generations can benefit!! Thanks Renee, incredible!!

Currently listening! Really enjoying your show!
I’ve been listening for awhile actually but every now & then, an episode is soooo informative and I can’t sing your praises enough! I’m listening to the ep about defense mechanisms. So interesting! I’m 100% guilty of the one you said most of us Moms do. We say the opposite of something we’ve just “confessed” so we don’t appear ungrateful or heartless…when actually our feelings deserve to be validated. Thanks for making this show.

Renee = A Refreshing Voice for Real Moms
I started listening to The Mom Room early on I the pandemic and it has never disappointed! Renee talks about real issues and shows the good, bad, and ugly along with the beautiful, memorable and heartwarming, because let’s face it- motherhood is both! She brings in experts, has started a hot topics series and talks about it all looping in some of her psychology background to help process the experiences- any mom or new mom I meet, I tell them this is a must listen! Thanks for creating this space and being so awesome!

Dance parties over cooking
Love this podcast. So many helpful guests you’ve had on. One thing that I don’t think I would have ever said out loud is “I don’t like cooking”. That sounds so minuscule, but we are all good at different things and cooking is not my priority. I used to have so much guilt because moms are supposed to be good at cooking, right? Ugh! Such a load off my shoulders. I would rather order take out and spend time with my son than cook, clean and not even enjoy the food I made. Thank you, Renee!

Amazing! As a first time mom in 2019, with social media being what it is, I felt so much pressure to do what the other moms were doing on my Facebook or Instagram and you’ve really helped me understand that just because those are their priorities, doesn’t mean they have to be my priorities. It’s really helped me embrace my own style of motherhood and to be confident in my own style.

- EP278. MOMPOSTER SYNDROMEEP278. Today's episode is the first episode I ever recorded! I talk about five things that contribute to “momposter syndrome”; social media; unsolicited advice; the one study they obsess about on every media outlet; the #blessed moms, and; comparing yourself to other parents and comparing your kids to other kids. I explain how these things eat away at us, how we should deal with them, and why they’re bullsh*t. Buckle up. - EP266. "You're angry! All you do is complain. You must hate motherhood!"EP266. People get so uncomfortable when a mother complains about motherhood. We should be #blessed at all times even though this is the most emotionally, physically, and mentally draining job in the world. Not only that, no one respects mothers. Being a surgeon is tough but, you get all the respect in the world and no one would ever call you angry or question you if you complained about the difficulties of your job. From the health care system to society in general, from our own family and friends to our employers, mothers are not respected and yes, we're angry about it.
