I think he’s funny but he’s taking over and not giving Kay a chance to speak or disagree. Kay is wonderful and her proximity to bach nation is so great and meta, but she’s getting steam rolled by Jared. And I agree with other comments that he’s really hard on the women it’s a little cringy, especially given the fact that the audience is (I’m guessing) primarily female. Give Kay her voice back!!! Maybe need a third person again for a better dynamic.

I used to look forward to the show weekly but I simply cannot listen to Jared yell/interrupt any longer. I have never heard someone who loves to hear themselves talk as much as Jared does himself. He’s also become very negative of the women on the show and I’m not here for it. A better bachelor/bachelorette/bip podcast is happy hour with becca and michelle.

What’s going on here?
I used to watch the bachelor franchise only to listen to this podcast. I feel like since Chris has left it’s taken such a rough turn for the worst. Jared please let other people talk. I didn’t even realize Kay wasn’t on last week’s podcast until half way through the show because she’s never able to talk anyways.

This use to be one of the bachelor podcasts that I would listen to after a few of other ones. Once Jared came on board it was everything they were missing. He makes Kay very likable. I still liked the three of them and they should have not taken away fat Carrie Bradshaw. The three were great together. Never stop yelling Jared!!!

Thoughts on 10/12 episode
With regard to Ashley and Jared—- they are just plain BORING! I agree with what Jared F. says about them, but what I think is the problem with their appearance is that no one cares and they are a snooze fest. Have you listened to Ashley’s podcast? BORING and who cares? With regard to Serena, she can’t bash the hand that feeds her so she can’t participate in any dialogue that reflects negatively on the show or its people. She does have good insights, though, because she actually knows the people on the show and went through the experience. You all had some very nice back and forth dialogue after you got through the beginning of the show. Maybe you were nervous at first with Serena and you got more comfortable with her as time went on. Love you Jared! You are spot on with your insights as usual.

Feeling Serena’s take can be the opinion that is missing and that Jared & Kay just don’t bring. Huge fan of Jared. But he does need to tone the yelling down just a decimal. Highly appreciate the excitement though. Recommend trying out Serena, Jared, and Kay together. Potential for working out really well.

Bring back Derek
When I first started listening to this pod it was Kay + Derek aka the dream team. Chris was great as well. But Jared is just insufferable. I get that most reality tv podcasts are a “love to hate it” kind of thing, but he like REALLY hates The Bachelor franchise, to the point of it being super weird that he hosts a podcast about it… I can’t even get through an episode these days because he immediately starts yelling & he just makes the overall vibe very negative.

I used to love this show so much with the dynamic of Chris Kay and Jared but now it’s getting harder and harder to listen to and lacks charm or comedy and I think it’s mostly due to Jared.. please stop screaming your way through the episode, let others (your guests and Kay) get a word in and share their thoughts and opinions. You sound so angry the entire time like it’s supposed to be a fun and funny recap show! I also have to adjust the volume constantly because Jared YELLS lol. I’m listening to the ep with Jared and he screams over Serena the entire time interrupting her and not being funny, this show needs an overhaul lol.

Used to love
This used to be something I looked forward to, but it has started making me so uncomfortable. Since Chris left, it seems like it’s devolved into just bashing contestants, specifically women. I get that they bash men, too, but I don’t think Jared is very aware of the power dynamic of a cishet man making fun of aspects of women’s personalities so consistently. Everything a contestant does becomes “this is the problem with women!” It’s borderline misogynistic. There’s intelligent comedic commentary and breaking down toxic dating patterns, and then there’s repeatedly generalizing to all women and making fun of the sound of a woman’s voice (this was the last straw for me). I’m moving to Love to See It.

Missing Chris!
I used to love this show. Kay, Jared, and Chris were the perfect combo. Now that Chris is gone the show is just Jared and Kay bashing Rachel. I love Kay but she doesn’t offer much insight. Jared is bias in his comments because of his dislike of Rachel and he dominates the conversation. I still like them and will still listen because I appreciate their humor and honesty but wish they had a third cohost like Chris to balance things out.

Used to really love this podcast but it’s been quite upsetting listening to the way they speak about both girls this season. It feels like they constantly use Gabby as a foil to justify their dislike of Rachel. Idk it feels pretty misogynistic to contrast every criticism of Rachel with Gabbys behavior and allude to Rachel being overly emotional or a poor communicator just because she and Gabby have had different experiences.

I used to LOVE this podcast and looked forward to the recap episodes almost more than the actual tv episodes but this podcast is going downhill quickly. It feels like an hour of them just being rude and making fun of everyone on the show. You can provide entertainment and recap a show without having to bash and radiate negativity the whole time.

Negative Energy
I wish the hosts would try to put out a little less negativity and personality judgement. I find them both (but especially Kay) very superficial and snobby. Anytime someone isn’t overtly charismatic, toxic, or villainous they call them boring. To echo what others have adequately summed up, get rid of Kay and make this a much better podcast. It’s really hard to listen to her as she really doesn’t have much to say. Jared is so magnetic, it’s not fair that he’s not given more to work with. Without Chris, it’s even more evident that all Kay is capable of is laughing at Jared’s jokes without contributing any further insight.

It was the completely bashing of Becca for proposing to Thomas that was the last straw for me. Gave me huge anti feminist vibes and I have to question… would you all have had this convo if Chris was present? It seems the show took a massive turn toward heteronormitivity all of a sudden. If you don’t want to be proposed to @ Jared, that’s fine. If Kay doesn’t want to propose to a partner, ok great for her. But to imply that there’s something wrong with a woman who proposes or something wrong with the relationship is ignorant at best. It is 2022, ya’ll. Gender norms aren’t cute and this most recent episode was so cringe with the anti feminist remarks I had to turn it off and probably won’t ever return. It’s truly disappointing to see a couple people in my own age group talking and thinking in this way. 😬 sorry but I was literally disturbed by this.

Replace Kay!
Please think about replacing Kay this off season, I used to love this podcast. She doesn’t do anything other than repeat the last work Chris or Jared says or say ‘I’m dead’ when she clearly wasn’t even listening. It’s unbearable. She doesn’t have an original thought. When I listen to Jared on other podcasts, with someone who he can have a back and forth with - he’s great! Honestly he’s great alone too, but with Kay to drag along he seems dragged down.

I disagreed with someone’s comment about the Will Smith/Chris Rock situation on one of Jared’s posts (politely, I might add, while the OP responded super aggressively but her comments were left…) and I was blocked. I don’t really care that much but it just proves my original thought about why Jared was not a good addition to this podcast. He can’t help but control the narrative and shut people down who disagree. Maybe because I don’t follow him? I saw some other comments and reviews mentioning the same thing happened to them.

Will miss Chris! Love Jared, hoping for changes
I listed to this podcast from the start with the original betches girls. When Kay took over it was unbearable because she refused to say one funny thing about the contestants in fear they wouldn’t like her after so I stopped listening. I started again when they brought on Jared combined with Chris and it seems her strategy paid off because she’s apparently bffs with most of bachelor franchise now which is extra cringe bc it seems like that was her exact intention from the start of the podcast. Chris and Jared were an amazing duo and idk what this show will be without Chris bc they carried this show. Hopefully some changes are made because you cannot have a bachelor COMEDY podcast with someone who cares more about their reputation with the contestants than the quality of the podcast.

The bachelor/bachelorette podcast market is saturated, but this one is worth a listen. Because none of the hosts are former contestants you get (mostly unbiased) opinions of how insane this show/franchise truly is. Listening to their podcast is always more entertaining than the show itself, and I look forward to it every week. I’ve been listening since the ~skinny pop~ song and felt like it was time that I provided a review after being a subscriber for so long. Love you betches ❤️

Desperation Thy Name is Kay
Omg the level of second hand embarrassment I have hearing Kay drop one of her extremely exaggerated anecdotes of how “connected” she is to current and former cast members is too much. She claims she “matched with Jesse Palmer” on a dating app she saved from 2017! Lolol and the reality was she dm’d him and he sent back a very non committal reply. Trust me if there was more to it she would have told us. She can’t wait to share details of her watch party that had 5 previous bachelor guys in attendance when really she had offered free room and board to get them to come over, then can’t answer a single question about what any of them are doing currently. Sweetie you are so very sad. It’s getting really painful hearing your co-hosts pretend to be impressed by your bachelor door matting every wknd. Door mat does not mean close personal friends, they are two wildly different things. I can’t with her claims to be sleeping with the same guy as a current cast member when she prob bumped into him at a bar once and now wants to SAY HIS NAME on the pod.😳 3 stars for Chris and Jared being funny and accurate. Please send Kay to a dif pod so we don’t have to hear her one time at band camp quips anymore.

This podcast would be so much better if Kay stopped talked sooo much about herself and flirting with guests. The Brendan interview was so cringe I had to unsubscribe. Maybe Kay should start another podcast where she talks about herself so Chris and Jared can continue to recap the Bachelor.

Wondering if they even like the show
I’m all for making fun of silly things about the show, but this podcast seems to be nothing but complaining about how much they hate everything about the show. Weird to me to have a podcast just talking about how much you hate something. Other podcasts talk about the good and the bad and tend to have differing opinions, but everybody on this podcast just complains and complains and complains. I try to listen for entertainment and find myself in an annoyed and in a dampened mood every time. The most negative is Chris, and Kay is constantly trying to act too cool for the franchise yet she hangs out with the people all the time? I love UUp and Jared on that, but he’s so different on this podcast with his negativity just being so escalated. They act like this show and podcast is a chore even though they have the privilege of doing something they enjoy weekly as part of their career. I want to like this podcast so much, but the negativity is overload. Please, please, please put a little positivity in it.

Love the pod, could do without Kay
Will probably always listen no matter what, but Kay puts a damper on my excitement to listen. She comes off as if she’s trying extremely hard to be ~cool~, and constantly screams that her identity/destiny is (at least currently) being a follower-groupie. Her lingo is painfully teenybopper-eqsue. PLEASE fix the mics…it sounds like someone is constantly bumping them. :( I listen for Jared and also love FCB now! The banter and comparisons are fantastic.

Kay Adds No Value
I only started listening to this podcast since Michelle’s season, so I have no idea what the pod was like prior to Jared and Chris being on. However, I think Jared and Chris are hilarious on IG, so I started tuning in. I enjoy the guys on here, as they are funny in a comedian sort of way. I don’t think it’s “negative” like others have said…it’s comedic. So I enjoy that. But who is Kay? What value does she add to the podcast other than being a wanna-be bachelor celebrity?! She’s so off from the guys…it’s definitely an age/maturity thing. She’s not a good match with them and should just go away. It’s super annoying that all she does is talk about hooking up with guys and having festival party weekends with “bach nation.”

Unfortunately, Kay no longer adds anything to this podcast like she used to. I’m not surprised they added Jared, at least he has some original thoughts to share and Carrie is really funny. Best Bachelor Pod
I listen to so many (too many) bachelor podcasts and this one is my favorite! The hosts have a great dynamic and have me cackling every time. Just reading the reviews and I see a lot of people are not fans of Kay’s Weekend, but I love it! I think it’s fascinating.. probably because it’s so far removed from my life as a working mom in the Midwest. Keep living your best life, girl! Love you guys- don’t change a thing!!

I enjoy the witty snark and realness, thank you! I know it is super expensive to get the sound really polished, but perhaps you could look into finding a way to balance all of your volumes to the same level, less "popping of 'p'" sounds, more uniform quality etc. Otherwise, very fun!

Somehow I came full circle
So I’ve been listening for a while now (around when Derek first started hosting with Kay) and have gone on such a roller coaster but honestly this is one of the only pods I actually like right now. Some of the others have been unbearable with their takes but y’all just get me!!! Also could take or leave the weekend updates, I already follow Kay on IG so she ends up rehashing things I’ve already seen in her stories. I just don’t think there’s a lot of crossover between the people who enjoy this segment but don’t follow on IG so are just hearing it for the first time. So either we know about it already cause we like Kay or the ones that don’t, don’t care enough to listen lol

At this point Betches should just make a “Festival Scene” vertical and fill it with Kay’s content for the 5 people who enjoy it. For the rest of us it gives groupie, it gives cringe. Best casual bach pod
I love this podcast, it’s the perfect summary of every episode but also HILARIOUS. Kay & Chris are hilarious & Jared is slowly growing on me…but he is a little too harsh sometimes, & could use some humble pie. Also, him defending Greg was really gross. Greg knew exactly what he was signing up for, fantasy suites after hometowns is the name of the game. Stop standing up for the whiney white male ego & call it what it is ~ gaslighting ~ The anti Kay-reviews come from people feeling like we (the listeners) can’t trust anything she says because she’s soooo close with so many of the contestants. Especially with paradise.

Jared & FKB were perfect additions to this podcast. Their banter and commentary keep me cackling the entire time! I do miss NYC version of Kay though. It’s harder for her to be objective now and commentate from a distance. With her being in with the bachelor crowd, it just seems like another bachelor franchise podcast rather than it self standing. Love that she enjoys electronic music 🎉 Re the San Diego convo, as a San Diegan myself, I can share that it is the BEST place to live. So gorgeous and way better than LA IMO. We have it all: sun, beaches, food, night life (& when it’s not good enough we can easily drive to LA 😜), beautiful weather, hiking, outdoor activities, and way less traffic than LA and OC. We are also a short drive to Tijuana for amazing tacos, and can take a weekend trip to LA whenever we want! We have lots of employment opportunities and the people are also generally nice (and very attractive). San Diego welcomes all who want to come and would love if Jared did another show in La Jolla!!! The sea lions are asking for you 😆 💕🙏🏼

I’m not sure why she’s even a part of this podcast? She never has an opinion and just latches onto whatever Chris and Jared are saying. The only time she speaks is in horrible catch phrases like “I’m DEAD” or “I’m GAGGED.” Her personality is like a parody of a millennial trying to be cool. I used to love this podcast when Derek was on. It was annoying how they handled his leaving like it was a big secret and the fans were rude for even asking about it. But now I feel like the hosts don’t really have chemistry. Adding Jared was the best move they have made. Chris is funny sometimes but I don’t love him. And Kay needs to GO. Now that she is “friends” with some former bachelor contestants she has a bit of arrogance. And the Kay’s weekend segment is awful. It’s good but…
Kay and her bragging about her weekend is when I end the episode. It’s like okay we get it, you hung out and met Hannah F or whatever. It would be one thing if it came up naturally when talking about the episode but to have a whole segment on it is too much. No one cares 😬 also name that episode gotta go.

Kay’s audio is getting worse and worse. I like everyone but the audio is super distracting when you hear bits and pieces of her and then they all talk over each other her because Kay doesn’t know she’s lagging. Still love Fatcarriebradshaw so much ♥️

I really want to like this show but there are so many things it can do better. Betches, please do us all a favor and remove Kay from this podcast. Her opinions lack any real substance and she has nothing funny or valuable to add. Plus her audio quality is terrible and very distracting. Jared and Chris are hilarious and are carrying this show on their backs. I would suggest getting rid of the “name this episode” segment because the jokes never land and even the hosts don’t seem like they particularly enjoy it. It also starts the episode off on a fairly low-energy note. I could also care less about the “Kay’s weekend” segment that they’ve been sprinkling in the past few episodes. Overall, there are better bachelor podcasts out there but I hope this one implements some much needed improvements.

I love Jordan and Jared because you always get the silly giggles. But it seems like Jared has been a bit checked out on this season (funny note I’ve never watched any of these shows. Replace Kay
This used to be such a great podcast. Now that Kay is “friends” with the people on the show the podcast is now so obviously one sided. Kay raves about people she likes and Chris and Jared sound like they’re walking on eggshells talking about the cast now. I listen to hear a funny unbiased opinion and that’s just not the case anymore :(

Stop hating on people and speaking in that manner. Jared is the only thing entertaining. Chris is alright, and Kay is the worst because she’s so oblivious of any social issues and comes across very privileged and entitled. Try to be more positive yet critical rather than make it a piling on popularity contest.

I listen to this as I bike, mow, or commute. Laughing out loud, by myself, looks really strange, but I don’t care because this is the best Bachelor podcast out there! This podcast would have been a 5 star rating had it just been Jared and Chris. Kay is borderline intolerable. Her laugh throughout the show is forced and cringey. Chris and Jared’s humor is not mean and negative; it’s hilarious. I’m here for the honest, unfiltered feedback! Derek always made me laugh too. I wish Kay was able to better articulate her thoughts. Her banter feels so choppy and unoriginal, often trying to repeat or reframe J and C’s jokes as her own. Most episodes my only takeaways from her are “like” and “um.”

Way too mean spirited
Used to be my favorite bachelor podcast, but I have to stop listening because I can’t handle the negativity. And don’t get me wrong, I love to snark on reality tv, but this podcast is just over the top with mean girl vibes. My recommendation would be to replace Kay with someone that isn’t so negative to help balance out Jared and Chris. I think Jared & Chris have a lot of potential with this show, but definitely need a third co-host that balances them out.

I was a HUGE fan of all things Betches for the longest time. This used to be my favorite Bachelor recap podcast until this past year.. it has turned into a mean-spirited roast every episode. I used to enjoy the jokes but they’ve become mean and constant. For example, they’ve spent basically every episode this season bashing Kaitlin and Taysha, and the production choices. It’s one thing to be critical- but that is ALL this podcast has become. They even make fun of Michael A. MICHAEL A. I’m done.

Adding Jared is a GENIUS move
Update, 7/21: I think it’s time for Kay to be phased off the podcast. I really don’t think she adds anything and frequently sounds like she half-watched the show while doing something else. Jared and Fat Carrie are great, and I wish they had a third cohost that brought something to the table. It was such a good decision to invite Jared to join this podcast. He’s so funny, engaging and spot-on with his Bachelor observations. I’m a relatively new listener (Claire’s season) and was waiting for the hosts to really find their groove, and I think this’ll be key. Awesome decision!

Used to enjoy but not anymore
I used to listen when Derek hosted and really enjoyed his humor along with his insight into the show. I tried listening to this season after a few away but gave up after all the nasty and negative comments about contestants- it’s just not fun to feel like you’re back in high school listening to people gossip and put each other down. I found I didn’t agree with ANY of their takes on the show and it wasn’t interesting. Time to unsubscribe and move on. I’ve got other fun Bachelor/ette podcasts.

This podcast has improved since Jared joined. It feels more structured, actually makes me laugh again sometimes, and I appreciate some points made. But you guys... if you’re gonna host a Bachelor podcast, study up! I’ve hear incorrect facts thrown out multiple times. For example, Nick V. was engaged to Vannessa for a while after he was the Bachelor, but they said he never got engaged on the show.

I usually don’t write reviews but maybe some kind, constructive criticism would help. I really used to love this podcast. But it has really gotten so catty and mean. I listen to multiple bachelor recap podcasts and there truly is a difference in criticism and just being cruel to contestants, alum, etc. I love the funny banter but not enjoying the way they talk about some people. I really want to stick it out and hope it gets better, but I’m really struggling. The hosts seem like they don’t even remotely enjoy watching the show or even enjoy recording the podcast so that makes it a hard listen as well.

Disappointed
I love this podcast and have stuck with it through host changes and rebranding. But I’m really disappointed to see them apparently partnering with a Barstool podcast. I hope it’s not indicative of any future partnerships. I know there has been some cross-over in the past and I am frustrated that Betches is willing to collaborate with any of Dave Portnoy’s enterprises (even if it’s two women, he profits ultimately).

I love this podcast, is it going too negative?
I use to love this podcast and still tried to listen to it for this season. Opinions are opinions and most of theirs I agree with, some I don’t, which is totally fine. Difference see what makes us human and makes things interesting. With that said, it seems like now everything they say is just negative. It turned into, not necessarily a bashing show but just something negative about everything in the whole episode. Maybe it’s just my opinion and it’s just a couple of episode thing, I hope so anyway.

Hosts Need Work
Chris and Jared are hilarious and I actually started watching the bachelor and bachelorette because they brought it down to earth and made it funny. Kay interrupts constantly only to never contribute an original thought , and I find it so grating. I think she needs to pay more attention to the episodes and generate more thoughtful opinions if she aims to contribute as much as the other hosts.

Kay is always making really horrible comments about people’s looks on the show while fishing for compliments regarding her own physical appearance. It is so obvious that she is envious of the female contestants on the show. She is always thirsting over the male contestants. Her behavior when Connor was a guest on the pod was embarrassing! Ehh it’s more of a gossip show
First, I just wish they would check their facts a bit more as Nick Viall was only on one season of paradise and it was BEFORE his season of the Bachelor. That’s not the first time they’ve been wrong about something. Secondly, they are extremely judgmental and gossipy... it’s like I’m listening to a bunch of 15 years old girls. That being said, I still listen every now and then to see if they talk about anything that the other bachelor recap shows don’t talk about.

I haven’t listened since shortly after Derek left because it went too negative and critical, but I tried again recently. Kay asks to not to be bullied, but she bullies contestants every week. Y’all Are Funny... but..
Enjoying listening to your takes. Your segments are super fun. I enjoy your senses of humor for the most part. I have been listening since the beginning and will be a listener as long as episodes keep coming out. I do miss Derek. Would love to have him back as a guest if he was willing and able. What I don’t enjoy is often your facts and timelines are off and you speak on your opinions as though they are facts. For example, in the most recent episode, you state Nick V was on paradise after his season as the lead. That is not true. You also go on to say some damaging things about his character. Try to remember all of these contestants you are speaking about are human beings. You are quick to defend anyone who you like or have met in person but often say some not super kind things about others. There are a few people on the show who are unredeemable, but most of the contestants are human beings and therefore imperfect, just as we all are. Grace is really valuable and I think you can all afford to give a little more while still making jokes and having a good time. You can always tease a little and then maybe say something you like about a person or something they have done. I understand wanting to get a laugh but there are ways to do that without defaming another person. 💛 The golden rule comes to mind. And practice what you preach (especially regarding bullying). You still deserve 5 stars ✨ because you all work hard and you make people laugh.

He has saved this podcast! Poor fat Carrie was given no help when he replaced the guy from the Bachelor (can’t remember his name anymore). I won’t go into my feelings on Kay as a host. Now that there’s more structure and someone to take the wheel, I no longer feel like this podcast is floundering. That said, it still could use some tweaking to feel more natural.. podcasts just work better when the hosts feel like they are actual friends. They should take notes from the Bravo by Betches podcast! That one is so conversational and fun to listen to (except for the super forced skinny pop sponcon).

Stopped listening (except for on and off) after Derek left. Saw the new sexy pink cover photo and read the updated reviews and decided to give it another chance and I LOVE the three host combo. Fun dynamics. Amazing detailed recaps and interesting dialogue! Much more balanced overall. Jared is an excellent addition and I’m excited to rejoin the regular listeners of this pod. P.S. Adding Jared was the best thing for you all. I never thought it would be okay for someone to get in the middle of the chemistry of Kay and Chris. Jared jumped in and right away it felt like a fit. I had some much needed laughs. So much that I ended up watching Jared’s You-tube comedy special (a must watch) Keep up the good work guys!

Jared is the comedic addition we needed!
I’ve listened to this podcast for quite some time and really enjoyed when Derek was a host with Kay. I also separately loved Chris/Fat Carrie Bradshaw on Instagram. I was excited when he joined the podcast, but after listening to several episodes the podcast just did not seem great anymore, like it was missing something. I was almost to the point of unsubscribing and no longer listening. Then Jared was added, who I loved on Instagram. He is exactly what the podcast needed and the three together make a great team! I’m so glad I chose not to unsubscribe and to continue listening! 💗

I really loved this podcast, but ever since Derek left it hasn’t been the same. Fat Carrie Bradshaw and Jared seem to have the exact same opinion as Kay, and now it’s all jokes and it’s gotten kind of petty. I miss the balance Derek brought. He was always kind and thoughtful.

Chris as a replacement for Derek is amazing. He makes me laugh so much and I appreciate how he and Kay complement each other. I don’t know if I’ll be able to keep listening with Jared. He talks over everyone, he rambles forever about things that no one cares about, and he’s overall just annoying.

I was honestly ready to give up on this podcast, when Fat Carrie Bradshaw stepped in and breathed some life into it! Then every time Jared would make a guest appearance, it was clear that he was the missing piece of this puzzle, and I felt a void in his absence. You lost me...
I really only watched the bachelor franchise for the fun of this pod. Kay brought the snark while Derek was a little more heartfelt. Now it’s all snark. You guys really hit a low making fun of Sarah for having emotions over being away from her dying father. Then somehow underneath rock bottom you didn’t hold the racists accountable. Also, making fun of Nemacolin is rich from a bunch of 30 year olds who can’t afford to live alone.

I used to like this podcast, however, I am very upset with how the Betchelor has been handling their Instagram account with regard to the Rachael K incident. This account and podcast is perpetuating this “witch-hunt” culture which is dividing our country at an alarming rate. I wish this Instagram and podcast which is meant for entertainment purposes would remain non-partisan, as political agendas are shoved down the throats of every US citizen. As a bachelor fanatic going on almost 10 years, nothing irks me more than when bachelor podcasts hosts don’t know every detail about the contestants names, bachelor history, and bachelor news. When Kay asked this week if we had a bachelorette yet I turned it off. How do you have a podcast and not be the MOST up to date with this stuff?! They sound like people who would fall for a click bait headline without any research or background knowledge. I know this sounds harsh. But don’t need to listen to a podcast where I feel like I know more then the people on the podcast, plus none of their insights are particularly interesting or nuanced. “Victoria is crazy,” yes - we can all agree on that. The best podcasts are those with precious contestants who can give more real insights, otherwise I’m just listening to a bunch of people talk about the bachelor with little background knowledge - can do that with my friends. Love Jared though!!! Watch his live screams!

Contradictions to Start
First time listener. Was disappointed in listening to them say that Kaitlyn Bristowe should know better and that she should “come up with her own hair story.” Kaitlyn, has had insecurities over her thinning hair for years and talks about them regularly (so she has her own story).Where she failed, is that she did not ‘actively’ listen to what Chelsea was saying and thought that Chelsea had a hair insecurity. She was praising Chelsea for sharing about it not realizing what Chelsea had actually been saying. I think it’s unfair to expect that Kaitlyn knows anything about black women and hair. But then these host go on to say they loved hearing stories from other women who have hair issues/insecurities. So it’s okay for other women to tell their story? Just not Kaitlyn? It was not a good start, but I will give this pod another chance. Since we’re all human, doing our best.

- Off-Brand Love Island (Bachelor In Paradise Week 4)Jesse promised us a twist this week and he definitely delivered. “The Split” might seem familiar to fans of other dating shows, that’s because they basically pulled it directly from Love Island. Starting the episode with a hometown was definitely out of place, but it somehow made the episode worth watching? Otherwise it would have been two straight hours of infomercials. The lack of villain appearances made it a relatively undramatic Men Tell All, which is not surprising based on the rest of the season. Roby was giving fan energy, Logan acting like he won the season, and Nate gave the performance of his life making use no one could poke a hole in his story.
