MOST “coaching” IS a scam
First of all, once you mentioned you listen to Rachel Hollis’ podcast, that was all I needed to know. Saying people who believe most coaching is a scam are “scared” is…a choice. If 70% of people are saying they believe coaching is a scam…maybe there’s a reason why the vast majority feel this way. The “coaching” industry is totally oversaturated by people with low to no certification or experience. If someone has all the answers on how to grow a business, why not focus on that business instead of creating YET ANOTHER course to tell others how to. “Those who cannot do, teach” Good luck with your business, ladies!
I love America ❤️🇺🇸

Jordan Peterson is not a racist
Jordan Peterson is not a racist! It is horrible when people call anyone such a hateful name, without giving ANY example of what they may have done to be called that! When you agree, you are merely repeating a hate-filled rumor —gossip — which actually makes you look just as hateful & prejudice! If you are going to say that about anyone, please give examples/ FACTS, not gossip!

Love this podcast
I look forward to new episodes coming out every week. There have been some episodes where I think “meh, I don’t know what I’ll get from this one” but I *always* get at least one takeaway or have an ah-ha moment. Danny J & Jill’s authenticity, willingness to be vulnerable and share real-life stuff about relationships & business is a breath of fresh air. 10/10 would recommend :)

I’m getting ready to say goodbye to my 50’s and have been a follower for about 5 years. I’m not an entrepreneur but I ALWAYS gain some introspect from each episode. Content is solid and informative. You both are entertaining and the transparency you bring to the show is inspiring. Keep bringing it😁

always looking forward to new episodes of The Best Life.
long time listener of the Best Life. Danny & Jill offer a refreshingly honest take on life, while managing to keep it light & funny! One of my favorite podcasts as I’m always looking forward to new episodes. Really enjoyed the spirituality/religion episode. Also been deconstructing my faith the last 5-7 years. Was great to hear different perspectives from ladies. Cheers to the best life!

I enjoy the topics however….
I’m listening to the “mow the lawn episode”. Jill says the word “like” almost every 10 seconds. I had to stop listening because I couldn’t grasp what she was saying. I think the topics are always great however, when you’re listening to a podcast the word usage becomes important.

Perfect for all stages of life
I began listening a few years ago when I first got divorced and really learned a lot by listening and working on myself with a lot of "ah ha" moments from their podcasts. Fast forward to now and I started listening again and I am still having those moments, but at a deeper level. I cannot recommend this podcast enough!

My fave podcast
I frequently come back to this podcast to see if there’s something new - I contacted one of you (sorry I don't know if it was Jill or Danny I’m really bad at remembering who it was inspike with) about how I wanted to level up in my business - you gave me the link to the entrepreneurial podcasts so I’ve listened to them over and over. I joined a mastermind and even have connected with another listener of yours recently to learn more about taking my business online. Love all your shows! Thank you for starting my day off right!

“Losing a Parent” Episode
The losing a parent episode was helpful and made me cry but in a good way. I lost my own mom in January 2021. Mom was quarantined before entering hospice as a precaution during Covid and she passed away while in quarantine. We hadn’t been allowed in blah blah blah because it was quarantine! Yes, most people should say nothing when a loved one dies. “I’m sorry” or saying nothing will do. The greeting card platitudes were obnoxious. Our culture and society fears death.

Keeping it REAL!
Been a long time listener and love these ladies. Both unapologetic and vulnerable about their life lessons, personal stories, growth, mindset, love, relationships, and just everyday life to help others. Always keeping it real, and just saying what everyone else is thinking. Keep doing you! Xx

Content has dwindled - I’m bummed!
I used to LOVE this podcast. Two single girls talking about divorce, dating, going out, body and nutrition related struggles etc. They had great guests and awesome episodes. I’d listen on walks and it felt like hanging with girlfriends. Now it’s disappointing. Typically episodes are now 20-30 minutes and it feels like they’re simply checking it off the list to say they did it. No longer loving it. I’m bummed!

A Meaningful Podcast for all Women!
I have been listening to The Best Life for about two years now. Danny J and Jill discuss topics that are true and hit home for a lot of women, including myself. They are important conversations most people do not talk about and it is very refreshing to hear their personal experiences and opinions on life. Their podcast has helped me view life differently and better handle personal and professional situations that occur. If you are looking to grow as an individual and better your personal/business relationships, please listen!

I’m loving these podcasts, for these girls are real, transparent, and have lived it so they can speak about it. Each podcast is loaded with punchy advice that ignites a fire inside of me to take action NOW and to roll with the punches..... but to also be the one punching 🤣. Rock on ladies: keep being you. I hope this show never ends. As a follower of Jill’s for many years it has been great to share in her life and to come to know and love Danny. Their conversations and life experiences have helped me become more understanding of other’s situations and to reflect on myself more. If you like listening to two girlfriends chat about various subjects, you might enjoy this podcast. I generally listen to podcasts for one’s expertise in a given subject that I want to learn more about. I don’t find anything particularly interesting about the hosts or this podcast, although the episode about being a woman did make me laugh.

The big sisters I’ve never had
Listening to Jill+Danny is like sitting down to coffee with two of the older sisters I never had but always wanted! They have so much wisdom to share in a variety of subjects that interest me: diet and exercise, moderation, women in business, acceptance, relationships, and more. They are relatable but also experts in their own way. They are funny, charming, but can be serious too. They do a great job of keeping the podcast interesting with a variety of guests and solo episodes. ❤️

Zero stars!!The Sohee podcast had so much misinformation. She herself cheated on her husband, she was already having a relationship with Ben when Spencer told her Bret was cheating. Spencer, as well, has committed adultery. All of that aside she is making a mockery out of women who have truly been abused. All in the name of driving people to her newsletter. Unbelievably disappointed in your podcast information.

I appreciate her thoughts on self worth, happy mediums, etc. I’m also happy for Sohee coming to a conclusion with this last relationship, however, this is the exact thing she did to that mans prior fiancé. I know that for a fact due to being a good friend to his ex-fiancé. Karma for both of them 🤷🏼♂️

I’ve listened to a lot of podcasts but I can’t seem to stick with one for more than a few episodes. Or maybe I skip over a few that I don’t find interesting or relatable. Not when it comes to the Best Life Podcast. I never miss an episode. I’m really enjoying this podcast because Danny and Jill are so real and relatable. Love podcasts but I’m super selective about what I listen to...they need to be entertaining and provide value. This one makes the cut because it does both

I love this podcast for many reasons, the first being these two women are so real and so truthful you almost feel like they are your soul sisters in life! Business, family, health, struggles. The variety of what they talk about is so appealing because it parallels life so much. Thank you ladies for putting the work into this podcast!

Thank you
I am a millennial woman and I LOVE looking up to GEN X women who have some experience and perspective on me. I grew up very religious, lower middle class, and the youngest of 4. This led to a lot of very black and white ideas about how I “should” live my life in general, giving Little Room for raw humanity. I so appreciate the conversations Jill and Danny have around infidelity and healing, confidence and food obsession, abundance and scarcity in finance. Danny says something in the abundance of money episode about an “us and them” with rich people and poor people and I’m like “OMG! Other people experienced tat too?!?!” Anyway, I just love the real conversations these women are having that really put living or best lives IN OUR HANDS. As women, we’ve been the victim of men in power for far too long. And I feel these conversations are helping truly step out of the lies and into our power.

All I hoped for and more!
I have been excitedly awaiting this podcast since I first got wind of it a month or two ago...and it was worth the wait. I’ve been a fan and follower of the content both Jill and Danny J put out, but to hear them talk so in depth about experiences that are so personal in such a relatable way using feelings and perspectives that are so universal, was really powerful. I found myself saying, “yesss” and “me too” and also laughing at some points, crying at others. This podcast truly is for anyone and everyone wanting to live their best life. Looking forward to all the episodes to come! ❤️

You need these ladies in your life
I feel like this is the podcast I have been waiting for. I have followed Jill and Danny J through years of their work in the fitness/mindset industry, and I have never felt like they have been in fire as much as I do right now. They are relatable, hilarious, but most importantly, they care about giving you real life applicable information that you can go out and change your life with. They deliver these messages in a way that is not condescending or negative, but in a way that shows you the light and offers you the chance to see all the future possibilities that you may be missing. Life. Changing. Love you guys!!!

Such great things coming out of here.
Disclosure: I've been following Jill Coleman online for a bit now; in May I went to the Radiance Retreat, which she hosts(along with 2 other great women to follow, Neghar Fonooni and Jen Sinkler). So when I found out she was putting out a podcast, I knew it was going to end up in my list. And I have not been disappointed! So much of what they've said in the first couple episodes can apply not just to marriages/romantic relationships and I'm really excited to listen to more and keep working out how I'm going to live my best life. Thanks Danny and Jill; keep it up!

The best podcast!
Of the countless fitness personas I’ve followed throughout the years, these two (out of a handful) have made the cut and I continue to watch learn from them. I’ve been following these women for nearly ten years on social media (and actually met Danny-J at an event and she is the real deal - genuine, funny, deep) and my journey has seemed to mirror theirs in many personal ways. I’ve learned from their open, honest, and raw sharing of their lives and this podcast is the perfect avenue for them to continue to have an impact on others through that same lenses of vulnerability. They are constantly giving away free tools and advice that help you to elevate to your potential while allowing you to be content exactly where you are. Couldn’t love these two ladies or this podcast more!

To bring voice to what is secretly lived and silently suffered is, to me, one of the greatest gifts we can give to our fellow humans. I have watched and benefitted from Jill's growth and lessons. Transparency 101
I have known Jill Coleman as a professional acquaintance for about 5 years. We have both been presenters at a particular conference in the field of fitness entrepreneurship. She is an excellent speaker, capable of creating short, powerful mantras, and explaining business principles in depth. What Jill and Danny Johnson have created here is an incredibly transparent, introspective reflection on how they have arrived at the present. They chose to start from the beginning, and their stories are real. Their views on their own pasts, including relationships, will resonate with many people, and might challenge others. I am looking forward to seeking how they build on the foundation of “the start,” and to see where they’re headed.

A real connection established for me
I have followed you both for years and have always admired both your work in the fitness industry. Though I was interested in your content, I never felt especially connected to you as actual people because while I valued your messages- I am in such a different season of life that I always felt like you were talking to someone else. When you announced the podcast I couldnt believe you were willing to open up about your personal lives- and honestly I was curious. I think the podcast proves that you are not just riding the current trends of vulnerability and intersectionality- but actually opening up your lives with honesty and a desire to have positive impact. I love that you’re women supporting each other and celebrating each other and I’m thankful for the action you’ve both taken to contribute to the conversation of self-awareness, wholeness, freedom, and personal responsibility. I started out years ago with Jill’s 4-week Jumpstart! It’s been awesome to see that through all of the life shifts (both in fitness and relationships) you’ve both used your experiences to reach a wider audience for a greater purpose. I’m so happy to see you both winning and living THE BEST LIFE!

- Ep. 391: Why We Don't Care About Men with Dr. Jade TetaIf you asked us if we supports men’s rights, we’d probably say yes. Of course, only if the “rights” you’re talking about is the right to shut the fuck up. Okay, okay just kidding. We have no real hate for men at all, but sometimes we find ourselves wondering why we should care about the struggles men are facing when they’re the ones who are hurting themselves (and women too!). Who better to talk about the problems men are facing than an actual, real life man?! We’re so excited to chat with Dr. Jade Teta about the (fake) problems that men are dealing with today. - Ep. 390: Relating To Friends With Different Parenting ChoicesMaking the decision to have or not to have kids is deeply personal, and as we’re getting older the divide between those who do and those who do not seems to be getting wider. We’re childfree by choice, but we do have friends with children, so how do we keep those relationships up? How do you relate to someone with such a different lifestyle? Sometimes people grow apart, and that’s okay! But even if you can’t always relate to their life, you can still always remain friends. - The Best Life Podcast May 31 · 34m Ep. 389: Money Talks in an Unmarried RelationshipThere’s a societal expectation that when you get married, you merge your finances. So what happens to couples in long term, committed relationships without marriage? Finances are a deeply personal, and oftentimes tricky, subject to talk about. Everyone has different money rules and expectations that affect how we split expenses and costs with our partners. Throw in the unreliable income of entrepreneurship and things get even stickier. There’s no “right way” to deal with money, but there’s never a wrong time to have an open conversation about it with your partner—whether you’re married or not. - Ep. 387: The Drama in an UnfollowMaybe we’re taking social media a little too seriously, but getting an unfollow from someone you know irl feels like a stab in the back. Logically, we know social media isn’t “real” and people have the right to see whatever kind of posts they want, but that doesn’t stop us from getting our feelings hurt—or the reverse: feeling guilty when we’re the ones doing the unfollowing. We may be more connected to others than ever before, but there are no social rules and norms for online behavior and it’s got us feeling some type of way. - Ep. 386: Influencer Body TransformationsWe talk a lot about what influencer are and are not obligated to share, and when someone goes through a big body transformation, should they tell their following how they got there? Of course nobody owes anything to anyone, but when you make a career out of sharing your life online, the rules change. People look to the influencers they follow for advice, and if you’re using your body to sell a product, we think you should be upfront about how you got where you are. - Ep. 385: Are We Too Judgmental? Are we too judgmental? We’ll be the first to admit that we might have judged more than our fair share in our younger years—not just judging others, but ourselves too. So much judgement comes from internal shame and a lack of empathy, and it can turn ugly quickly. But something has shifted as we’ve gotten older, learned about ourselves, and experienced more life. Instead of leading with judgement and projection of our insecurities, we try to keep a curious and compassionate heart in all of our interaction. We’re not perfect by any means, but when those hits of judgements come up now, we know to challenge those base-level reactions. The judgment we passed in our youths [1:48] What being “judge” looks like [3:54] Judgement as a form of self-protection [5:31] Becoming less judgmental [8:00] Can success make you judge more? - Ep. 384: The "Right" Time to Deal with Relationship IssuesRelationships issues can come up at any time and we don’t always want to deal with that shit! But are we burying our heads in the sand or living in denial if we don’t want to face those issues right away? Sure there’s never really a “right” time to deal with things that come up in our relationships, but there’s definitely a “wrong” time. Besides, being able to take a moment to calm down and gain some perspective can really make those tough conversations easier, rather than having to deal with every little thing right away. The “right time” isn’t now, or later, or any time in between. The right time to handle relationship issues is whenever we fucking feel like it. - The Best Life Podcast May 10 · 31m Ep. 383: Self-Importance on Social MediaSocial media is far from a new concept now and most of us have spent years building followings, businesses, and connections online. “Influencer” is an official job title now and while you certainly won’t hear us talking down about influencing as a career, sometimes there’s a level of… let’s call it self-importance, that we see a lot of influencers seem to have. We all know someone who makes 9 posts about the fact that they aren’t going to post anymore, or the person who claims everyone is asking for a link to their toaster (and we all know no one is). Social media has been a great force in our lives, but lately our relationship with it is starting to change. Maybe it’s age, or the algorithm, or maybe we’re just boring now. In any case, we’re getting real sick of that self-importance we see everywhere. What about you? - Ep. 382: Healthy Relationships start With Us with Emily GoughMaybe it seems counter-intuitive, but the quality of our relationships got a lot better after the end of our marriages. Shitty circumstances helped us to look inwards in new ways, and because of the personal growth we went through then, we’re a lot stronger now. Emily Gough knows this first-hand too, after a nearly decade long relationship ended because of her partner’s infidelity. After that life-changing moment, Emily turned her attention to understanding and growing healthy relationships, and now coaches others to do the same. - Ep. 381: The Dark Secrets of InfluencersSome news broke recently about the cause of death of personal development mogul, Dave Hollis. The loss of Dave is tragic and heartbreaking for so many, but it got us thinking about the role of influencers and the lives they live in public versus the lives they’re living behind closed doors. Unhealthy and unsafe behaviors run rampant in the fitness and wellness industries. Are influencers morally obligated to tell you some of their less-than-perfect life choices? Do their bad choices negate the good things these influencer do to change peoples lives? And at what point does sharing your negative qualities actually help more people, in a way that hiding things can’t? - Ep. 380: Tap in to Your Feminine Energy to Save Your Relationship with Kelli AdameWe have a very special guest on today to talk about a subject that might be a little controversial—you know how we love to stir up the pot. Kelli Adame is a relationship coach, therapist, and mentor (in fact, she’s been coaching Danny for years!) that helps men, women, and couples unlock the true nature of love by balancing their masculine and feminine energies. It may seem “old-fashioned” or even woo-woo at first, and we certainly bristled at the thought at first, but there’s a lot more to the masculine/feminine dynamic than meets the eye. Our Besties are high quality, hard-working women (and some men!) who deserve a partner who will treat them exactly how they deserve. - Ep. 379: Can Anger Be Useful? There’s some universal law of the internet (and maybe even just life in general) that means someone, somewhere is extremely angry about something at any given time. Rage has almost become a social currency, and some people like to say “if you’re not angry, you’re not paying attention.” The problem is, there will ALWAYS be something to be angry about, and it’s not doing us any good to always be raging. Anger is an emotion, not a moral obligation. At its best, is it really helping anyone? Can we channel our anger into action, rather than letting it fester until it consumes our lives? Is there utility in anger? [2:02] A moral obligation to be angry [7:57] Emotions that create meaningful change [11:32] The right time for anger [14:11] Is anger needed for change? But what they (whoever the hell “they” is) fail to mention is that the problems you’re facing are ones you wouldn’t be having if you were single. We love our partners, but it’s true that being in a relationship means you’re forced to face some of your deepest struggles and insecurities. We don’t shy away from conflict here, because deep down we know that every conflict we do have makes us into better people. But maaaaaybe sometimes we miss the fight-free days of being single. - The Best Life Podcast Apr 19 · 29m Ep. 377: Following the Advice of "Success Influencers"Some of the most successful people have insane routines: 4am wakeup calls, cold plunges, raw meat diets, or any other clinically insane practice. If it works for them and they have a ton of success, does it follow that the rest of us should be trying out their routines? Yeah, you already know the answer: fuck that shit. Sure, some successful people are intense about their daily tasks, but there are other just-as-successful people who wake up and live their lives normally. You won’t gain success from the specific actions you take, it’s a mentality and a process. If you want to take a cold plunge, that’s great. That’s why this week we’re talking to self-proclaimed Mindset Strategist, Brad Bizjack. Brad started an online business, but never found much success until he decided to dig a little deeper and root out the subconscious beliefs that were holding him back. Now, he helps others do the same because Brad believes that every single person deserves to live the kind of life they thought was only possible in their dreams. - Ep. 375: Haters, Trolls, and Angry Mobs... Oh My!We all know the internet is full of angry people who are ready to join the closest mob, but knowing it is a different thing than experiencing it. Jill recently had a post on Instagram take off and it brought a lot of angry—and let’s face it, insecure—people into her comments. Not to mention, there was some recent Insta-beef between Jill’s ex, Jade, and another influencer. For whatever reason, some people tend to thrive on internet-takedowns and passive aggressive comments, and unfortunately this causes a lot of people to give up, sometimes before they can even begin. - Ep. 374: Difficult Conversations with FriendsYou might feel like holding back on tough conversations is the best way to salvage friendships but we disagree. Bringing up disagreements or having a difficult discussion might cause some friction, and in worst case scenarios you may lose friendships, but it’s also an opportunity to create even deeper connections. If we don’t allow ourselves to be fully authentic, we can’t expect to be loved exactly for who we are. That means having the tough conversation—not to point fingers or blame or argue, but to come to an understanding and move forward with deeper respect and affection. - Ep. 373: Tips for Giving Up DrinkingWhether it’s by choice or it’s “forced” upon you, cutting back on or giving up drinking entirely is easier said than done. Having a cocktail is so much more than just getting drunk—it’s social connection, it’s relaxation, and it’s cultural. A life change like pregnancy or health issues that necessitate sobriety can you leave you feeling isolated and resentful for all the fun you “can’t” have, but maybe there’s another way. Drinking is becoming less and less popular, and it’s probably a good choice for most of us to analyze our drinking habits anyways. - Ep. 372: The Sex Talk You Never Had with Your Parents with Vanessa and Xander MarinTalking about sex is a tricky situation. Most of us had a brief and most likely awkward sex-talk with our parents at some point, and were then left to figure out the rest by ourselves.
