Thank you for this
I was in tears today listening about the shortness of breath episode. I’ve been experiencing this for almost 6 months now, have seen doctors, therapist, tried many different medications and I’ve never actually heard someone validate what I was feeling and give me coping skills. Just to hear her explain these things, and know that I’m not alone and I’m not crazy was a huge gift to me. I’ve never written a podcast review before but I had to for this. Thank you.

This the ONLY podcast I listen to for my anxiety. I have literally tried to listen to other podcasts…but they just don’t work for me. It’s her voice and the helpful advice for me. I listen every night before bed and she sends me off to dreamland. I thank you for this podcast. May all who are reading this continue to strive and thrive. My highest appreciation for this podcast and all involved with bringing it to fruition.❤️❤️❤️👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼❤️❤️❤️

Love this show!
Within the last 2 years my life has changed in so many ways - good and bad. This podcast is so helpful to me. I loved the one about exercise and heart beat skipping. I have PACs and am still getting used to them. The advise that knowledge is medicine is so true! Working on working through the extra heartbeats that are (for me) been judged as being non-harmful. Thank you thank you thank you!

My favorite self help.
At the beginning of 2021 I was diagnosed with a thyroid disorder. My mental health plummeted. I try out different podcast weekly to see what resonated with me the most. Some others are helpful for the day, but this is the one I always come back to. I relisten to episodes, scroll down the list and save episodes I think I need to hear. It’s always helpful on my tough days. I’m a lot further than I was last year and I am so grateful for this podcast for helping me!

Too much and too little
For me, new to podcasts there is an issue with style and substance. I found the content level of to be at such an elementary level that it’s common sense: like stress can make your tummy sick, hmm! The style is like mommy whispering secrets to kids. Sorry, but I would prefer medical or related research information that illustrates positive results.🤷♂️

Been listening since 2016
Hello Gina! I’ve been listening to you guys since 2016. I remember the transition from different hosts and then it was narrowed down to you. I am so grateful that you e been able to come up with with soooo many different topics throughout all these years. I may just sign up to be able to listen to the back catalogue just to remember where I was and where I am now. You have helped me be the voice I needed as guidance that I didn’t have around me, positive, patient and soothing. You have helped me get through my mid-twenties and now early thirties and I know you will help me get through the next decade. Thank you, thank you. Much love!

Amazing resource
I love this podcast so much. I feel so happy to have found it. It’s feels like a free weekly “therapy” session and I am considering joining her other paid group with coaching. I am also looking forward to supporting the companies that sponsor the show in order to “pay it back” - the sponsored content seems like they are truly good, high quality companies, unlike some who will endorse any company that pays them. I will be a listener forever… so many a-ha moments listening to this podcast!

My Saving Grace
I’ve always been an anxious person, but never expected I would suddenly be dealing with rolling panic attacks. Even with CBT and talk therapy, eating right, sleeping well and exercising every day...this podcast is saving my life. You’ve just validated everything I have been experiencing physically during panic (I did think I had heart problems and ended up in the ER last week) and reassured me that I am not alone in this, that I am not crazy and most importantly that I can clear this. Thank you Gina, you are literally saving my life.

Seems like clickbait
I gave it a try and listened to an episode about strategies for dealing with anxiety. The episode was 20 minutes long and it took 13 minutes of rambling and ads to get to the actual content. That’s a no for me. IMO a good podcast should not spend more than 50% of its episode on introducing the content.

So calming
I am new to this podcast and it is awesome, maybe my favorite of all time. Her voice is soothing (like your pre-school teacher when u were a kid) and they are short in length, which gives you something to chew on without getting into a lengthy diatribe that loses the message. So listen in and enjoy.

Like the podcast but the wo-wo advocacy for CBD is off-putting
Like the podcast content but the long ads for things esp. CBD make me wary of any claims made by the podcaster. If you are going to promote CBD then please cite peer-reviewed scholarly studies and please, steer clear of the wo-wo beats and mojo nonsense.

Soothing
Gina’s voice is soothing and she teallly describes anxiety as something tangible to work with. She’s helped me define and separate my anxiety and I always look forward to new episodes but I do wish the content was more varied and more targeted to nuanced things that exist with/alongside anxiety such as co morbidities, or OCD, or GAD, or BDD.

Life saver!
I’ve battled anxiety all my life but it became a lot more “often” and regular the last 10 years or so balancing life with kids, marriage, work, finances, etc. I would have good weeks and bad weeks but never really got to the root of the problem and didn’t have all the necessary tools to help me through my anxiety spells. My best friend who’s a family therapist recommenced this podcast and it’s changed my life! I listen to a couple episodes a day and share the podcast with everyone I come across ! It’s helped me tremendously! I can’t wait to dive deeper into the episodes and get more information about this podcast, to possibly get more involved in all it has to offer! Thank You Gina for your wisdom, advice, soothing voice and for being so relatable! I wish I could give you a hug for everything you’ve already helped me with!

These podcasts have helped me more than my therapist could. She really understands and explains the ins and outs of anxiety better than anyone I have encountered. Whenever I’m on the verge of panic, I listen to her podcast, do some deep breathing and it helps me put things back into perspective. After only the first episode my eyes were opened. From how to break bad habits to panic relief. 100% recommend to not just anxiety sufferers but anyone. Never give up hope! - Our sensitively only shows the tremendous love we have. I also recommend reading “Life Unlocked” by Srinivasan S. I found this podcast in Summer of 2018 after an accidental health diagnosis had my anxiety spiraling out of control. This podcast is very relevant. It’s to the point, yet she covers the topic enough in depth. The only down point is in the newer episodes there is too much advertising (with awkward lead-ins and name dropping) and promotion of coaching opportunities. I realize she needs to make money, but proportionate to the length of the podcast, it’s just too much time.

My Daily Ritual!
I stumbled upon this podcast after an episode of anxiety/panic in my life that left me searching for answers - why me? Why can’t I be “normal?” How do I tackle this? I now listen to episodes on my way to and home from work - it’s a great way to start the day and a great way to decompress after work. I’ve learned a lot of tools and exercises to help manage my anxiety (I personally suffer from what is more like acute anxiety/panic than generalized anxiety disorder). Even if the topic doesn’t necessarily apply to me and my personal battle with anxiety, I still learn something. And Gina’s voice is so calming! I definitely recommend this podcast to anyone who is searching for some relief and education on anxiety/panic.

Exactly what I need right now
I listen to an episode on my morning commute and then another on my ride home. I’ve learned so much from just these free podcasts that has helped me manage my anxiety more than I thought possible. Gina is a wonderful teacher and she helps to make you feel like you aren’t alone in this journey. My hope is that one day soon I can get to where I want to be but until then I will continue to listen to these every single day. If you struggle with anxiety I highly recommend Gina as a coach!

Thank you Gina Ryan for giving me a refuge of peace at one of the most difficult times of my life. Great reminders!
I listen to this often. Some of the very first episodes are very good as well and I have started over from the beginning listening while in Christmas break. It is good to hear the same advice given over and over. For someone who is anxious, this same advice is needed before it will stick. Face, accept, float, let time pass, exercise, eat healthy, get enough sleep, etc. Thank you for what you do!

PTSD not so tough
I've always felt that PTSD was a bigger shade of anxiety, almost unconquerable because it wasn't just anxiety it's PTSD (notice the capitalization). Still, I loved running into this podcast because it is so real. They don't make PTSD a little issue but they do reveal it for what it is... Beatable. Thank you guys for what you do! Healing one day at a time! God bless you guys!

A Friend Everyday
Anxiety Coaches with Gina Ryan has been a blessing. I listen and relisten to the podcasts everyday on my drive to work. I find it puts me in a state of positive mindfulness and gets me ready for the day. It's like having a friend that talks, reassures me and holds my hand when I need it and turning to the podcast helps me in moments of need. The topics that really hit home also tells me I am not alone which is important when you feel you are alone. Thank you Gina... please keep up the great work. You are helping so many people with anxiety. Its got to be a reflection of the wonderful and emphathetic person you are. :) Aloha...

This show gets on my nerves
It really does. They waste so much time chit chatting and saying the same thing four different ways. It's too repetitive and boring. Much prefer Anxiety Slayer and some of the other shows out there with more meat and less personal talk and giggling.

Gina is a lifesaver
Anxiety is a miserable experience. This podcast is not an overnight fix. But, for me, in the weeks I have been listening, it has really helped me zero in on a significant causal variable in my own experience of anxiety: blood sugar. It's not like the thought never occurred to me before. I've even changed my diet to try to manage it (my CBT book recommends this, too). But as I didn't understand my condition, I was lax about caffeine, and some other things. Gina's episode on 'blood sugar crashes' (ep. 218) was a game changer. I'll be taking this dietary aspect much more seriously now. The great thing about this podcast is the wide net it casts, and how you can realize that you're not the only one feeling the way you do.

Like a lifeline
Until I can get into the care of a therapist, this podcast is helping me out tremendously. I wish it were ad free, but we can't have everything for free. :) Perhaps the intros could be shorter. I'm often listening to this when I'm trying to turn around my anxiety, so that gets to be cumbersome. Those are my only criticisms. This show is great quality and Gina's voice is calming.

Used to love this podcast, not so much anymore
I loved the older episodes with the former hosts. Specifically, the episodes where they really broke down each physical symptom of anxiety and what you could practically do to help really helped me manage my anxiety and made me feel less alone in my journey to cope with it. Lately though, I feel like every podcast is the same-something about being mindful and practicing mindfulness to overcome anxiety. While mindfulness is certainly a helpful tool, I feel as though the new host fails to recognize two things: how difficult it is for someone with anxiety to be mindful and the usefulness of medication in anxiety healing. While anxiety medication is a personal choice, there are many people (like myself) who weren't able to touch any kind of coping mechanisms without first starting a medication to realign my mind and body. I'm disappointed that the podcast has yet to address medication as a therapeutic and often necessary step to anxiety recovery and so leaves me feeling like a lot of this advice is unrealistic. Hoping that the podcast will start hosting more educated guests on mental health and that the topic of the show will have more to offer than mindfulness.

*Disclaimer* I never write reviews but I have been so moved by the impact of this podcast that I felt the need to share. I’ve suffered on and off with anxiety for most of my adult life, but never had a full-blown panic attack until 2 years ago. I came across this podcast and it is comforting to be able to identify with others suffering from anxiety.

Not very helpful.
The opening is genuinely grating, where the hosts just keep repeating the name of the podcast over and over. Almost taunting the listener. This is how you open a podcast that's supposed to help people suffering from anxiety? After that, most of the podcast is an infomercial for their private coaching sessions. And then a small portion of time is granted to the issue actually advertised on the episode. Not helpful to me.

As helpful or more than anything I've read or heard anywhere else!
The coaches will often say that it will often take an anxious person many, many times of hearing something before it registers, or clicks. This continues to be true for me and the best thing I can say about this podcast is that even if I have heard some of their messages somewhere else, they seem to have a way of making things click for me time and again! Thank you ACP!

Most people would say I am a calm, positive person. However, I had become increasingly focused on what could go wrong at work. Logically, I knew that my worries were unfounded, but I could not explain them away. I was becoming convinced I would need to see a professional. Luckily I discovered this podcast. Wonderful
I found this podcast during a time in my life that Panic had resurfaced. I battled it with medications for many years and found moderate success. Now, I am taking a more fundamental approach and exploring more of "me". I am supplementing regular Dr visits with Kevin and Kelli and they are wonderful. I truly enjoy the podcast and how it is direct and to the point. No fluff. I just want you both to know that those of us who battle this every day appreciate your dedication to putting this material on the web for free and offering your own insights and personal experiences.Thank you and keep up the good work. Forever indebted to this podcast
This podcast changed my life. I realize now that the past 3 years of medical tests, prescriptions, sick days, and relationship strains are all related to my anxiety. This podcast has prompted me to go seek professional help for what appears to be the only disease that plagues me- anxiety. I have chronic migraines and severe IBS and I always just assumed that everyone worries nonstop about their health and the health of their loved ones when they aren't "safe at home." You both have made me realize that I don't have to hide my anxiety from my doctor and I am finally making the appointment that matters to discuss the root of my issues. You have not only saved my health insurance thousands, you have saved my relationships with the loved ones who have managed to hang on through this roller coaster ride, and you have quite honestly saved my life. Thank you so much.

Really Good!
I've only listened to about 6 episodes, but so far I am very impressed and so glad that I found this resource. I love the topics and the format. It is very informative and I feel much more supported in my journey. It's always nice to know you are not alone in this struggle but with this podcast you can get help and reassurance from people who have experienced what you are going through without all the negativity that comes about when people are still deep in their struggle and complaining about all their symptoms. Very convenient format for me also.

Awesomeness!!
This podcast is literally keeping me in the world. I have had panic attacks for 25 years. Usually they incapacitate me to the point where it takes over my entire life. This time the anxiety and panic is becoming something that has a solution attached to it. Thanks to the coaches with their podcasts, youtube videos, Facebook group, and coaching. My attitude is different and better and, even at the beginning of my recovery when it's the hardest, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Great show to help so many people
Anxiety is something that affects so many people. But, getting the help they need can sometimes be challenging. This podcast is a great idea because not only is it free, but it also allows access to help without the need to go to a counselor. One thing I love about it is that this can help many of us (like myself) who may not categorize themselves with having a problem but do experience some degree of anxiety in normal life situations. Keep up the great work!

I just started listening a few weeks ago and can already see a dramatic improvement in my overall metal and physical well being. The style of the show is so laid back yet extremely informative, and unassuming. Kevin and Brian's down to earth nature is very comforting as well. I appreciate the fact that they too can personally relate to the struggles of anxiety and they are very genuine. It is said that the truth shall set you free. The truth, sincerety, and advice of the hosts along with their clear understanding of anxiety derived from the school of hard knocks shines through in each episode. The podcast came at a fortunate time for me as I was going through some very stressful prolonged changes in my life that had recently resulted in physical anxiety symptoms. The podcast hit the nail on the head for my situation and that validation and advice has contributed greatly in my quest for a complete recovery. I am doing much better now thanks in part to the ideas discussed on the podcast and it is as if I have been set free to get my life back on track. Thanks Brian and Kevin.

Good on topics, sometimes lacks content
Recently got into this show and do appreciate it, just wish more actual specifics/details would be given on actually dealie with high anxiety situations. Two examples were the elevator scenario and the episode on meditating. In the first one, I don't recall any actual recommendations on what to specifically do IN the elevator. For the latter, meditation was discussed, but nothing beyond "breathing deeply for 10seconds", seemed to give insight to anyone who doesn't already meditate. I do enjoy the show, just wish more real life examples and specific techniques would be given. Thanks.

So Thankful to Have Found this Podcast
One anxiety-ridden evening, I was looking through the podcast list in an attempt to distract myself and came across this one. After listening to one episode, I felt that these two knew exactly how I was feeling. They were able to describe what makes anxiety and panic so frustrating, and have offered a ray of hope in what can be a very draining disorder. In fact, the episode where they talk about not taking medications and what happened to Kevin after taking a small dose of Xanax in preparation for flying… EXACT same thing happened to me! Now I know that my brain is hyper vigilant, and that any change is a trigger for panic. To be able to listen to these rational podcasts in moments of great anxiety is such a help. It’s heartening to know that you’re not alone, that others suffer similarly, and that there is hope to overcome and manage anxiety and panic. Thanks to Brian and Kevin for putting themselves out there.

Empathetic, gentle and helpful.
I am very happy to listen in to Brian and Kevin as they grow this podcast. I had recently been laid off and it triggered some PTSD anxiety. I confided with a family member and they hooked me up with this show. The issue of anxiety has a lot of shame around it yet I know many who suffer from it. It brings up a lot of issues: self care, codependency, depression, medication and guilt. This podcast helps bring the issue out into the open. I just listened to the podcast on boundaries and felt it was spot on. As I go through this time of anxiety I have had to learn to say no and quite often. This can bring feelings of fear and guilt when it means saying no to our family, lovers, and co-workers/bosses. Great job guys, keep going and I I look forward to hearing more. Keep going guys. Let me know if you need a guest speaker!

I am not exaggerating at all when I say this podcast has been life changing. I am a "highly senstive introvert" and thought for the longest time something was wrong with me. Good, to-the-point subjects in this area.
I like the self-help aspect of this. I would however want to here more about resources where more help, professional or not, may be obtained. It occurs to me that afflicted individuals may not know where to go in their own community to reach out for help. And I do realize this may be in other podcasts. Also of course I imagine you've touched on diet, how swings in blood sugar can also swing moods and exacerbate such maladies, but here I am taking well out-of-my-field of expertise. Just a word regarding audio quality: The tones you are using are very heavy into the mid-range, at lest on my sound system here. (Yes, I have been a pro audio guy on and off for the past 30 years, so consider me a prickly snoot-mister in this regard.) Thus, for me at least after just 10 minutes I start to get the kind of "ear fatigue" which even if interested in the topic I would turn the levels way down or off after a short while. The continuous telephone interview, and resulting pervasive narrowband tones of course do not help in this regard. Seems that this could easily be corrected in post by dipping the mids considerably, then bring up the lows and highs. Get the graphic part of the EQ to look like a smile shape, and I am sure my ears in particular would smile in return.
