Be Challenged
If you’re a health and fitness professional, you need to be listening to this podcast. Dr. Sean challenges the status quo in the industry, and in my opinion, if you’re not challenging your beliefs around fitness you won’t grow as a coach. Listen, be challenged, and become a better coach for it.

Inspirational
Thank you for this episode! It was great to hear from someone in the trenches who I could relate to. As a new AL-P mentee and fellow crossfitter, this hit a lot of boxes for me. Things to navigate, questions I still have to answer for myself, and most importantly the possibilities for the future. I’m inspired to keep working through the content and sharing my knowledge with others with the renewed belief that my dreams of helping others get out of pain and making a living for myself are not mutually exclusive.

Must listen for any trainer/gym owner
I’m newer to this podcast. Often I’ve felt alone in some of the problems I’m working on overcoming. Hearing about how other gym owners, trainers, and fitness professionals worked through the same problems I have been working though has helped me grow exponentially faster. Make sure to actively listen and not just put on as background noise

Best Podcast
Before finding Active Life I was ready to never step foot inside of a gym again. I was tired of not seeing a true career in helping people become the best version of themselves. Once I binge-listened to the turning pro series on the podcast I was sold. I am now in Cohort to of ALP and I am loving every second of it!

This Podcast Should be a Staple for Coaches
Hands down, the best fitness podcast out there for coaches, PTs, doctors, and fitness enthusiasts. Lots of good information that weeds out misconceptions on a variety of health and fitness topics. Personally, I have gotten the most of the episodes that address sales (Episode 58 is killer!). Dr. Sean is ethical, straightforward and sometimes brutally honest but with the absolute best of intentions. The experience and advice both he and his guests offer on this podcast have allowed me to learn and progress rapidly as a coach.

Do you want to grow as a fitness professional and as a HUMAN? This podcast is for you.
I have learned so much from this podcast and it is not all fitness industry related. Dr. Sean interviews people from all walks of life and each individual he interviews has something valuable to share. After listening to each episode you can expect to have actionable steps that you can put into action immediately to improve your life and your business. My personal favorite episodes are the ‘Talking with Sean and Larry’ episodes (listen and you’ll know why). I would give this podcast 10 stars if I could!

This podcast touches on the MANY topics and subjects that most fitness trainers are scared to find their answers to. The episodes touch on the real-time and dynamic nature of the work of a personal trainer, athletic coach, physical therapists and the like. I’ve learned how to empower myself as a trainer, and I’ve been helped to recognize my value of helping others live healthier lives and increase their resiliency and well-being as an active human. Thank you guys so much for being a tremendous resource for the health and wellness space!

Keep on growing
This podcast is amazing. I could relate to the subjects they touched on in 114 Most importantly there is always room to learn and grow and be a better person. Surround yourself with people you want to be like. A good friend of mine said surround yourself with winners and you will be a winner. Showing interest in others and genuinely caring is such an important quality for a person to have especially in a leadership position. I want to keep learning about this industry to help other people learn and grow and see the benefits to living a healthy lifestyle. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience!

I’m a pharmacist and only do crossfit in my garage gym. Therefore, I do not own an affiliate or coach, but I LOVE this podcast. Somehow, every episode is relatable to many aspects of life. Also, the questions Sean asks his guests are mind blowing...he’s a great interviewer with such a different outlook on things. Always gets me thinking!

Things change
Change is inevitable, for better or worse, and I must say from a year ago this channel has gone in a direction that has me not listening too much. Even the IG page has shifted from performance care and chiropractic work which is 100% what these guys do best. The quality of guest has also dropped in my opinion so therefore it is now 4/5 maybe even 3 for the channel. What gained the attention for AL is not what is keeping it nowadays. Hopefully the shift goes back to pre-hab and performance.

Love this podcast but...
I absolutely love this podcast. I also subscribe to the bulletproof movement series and love that and plan to become an active life gym in the very near future. I like to listen to the podcast while I am cooking and the biggest problem i have with it is the cussing. My kids are almost always somewhere in the vicinity as well and almost every single time i am listening i have to shut it off because someone drops the f-bomb or some other word i prefer my kids not have to hear. Not to mention there isn’t a reason for it. You are all professionals with a lot of knowledge to share and what I tell my kids about cussing is it makes people sound ignorant as if they aren’t smart enough to come up with a better word to express a thought. Keep doing what you’re doing, you have a great amount of knowledge to share, just try to clean it up. Thanks!

Let the guests talk
I found this podcast through Rich Froning's podcast and loved what he had to say on there. So it brought me to his own podcast and I like it, it's a great podcast, but as some constructive criticism let the guests talk. I just listened to Casey Jenks and you cut him off on almost every question you asked and just went on and on. I understand the point and why you were doing it, but it was so unbearable I almost stopped listening to the podcast. I kept listening because I wanted to learn more about fitbot.

If you are still looking for help,
This is the podcast for you. Even if you thought you found the help you needed, yet curiously find yourself still looking, this is what you need to be listening to. Hands down-no questions asked. If Dr. Sean isn't reading a monologue full of knowledge bombs designed to inform you on how you can help yourself or find the right help, he is corresponding with guests ranging from other doctors-some from within his own practice, to CrossFit Games Athletes, globally recognized nutritionists, insanely successful business owners and consultants, and more. Occasionally portions of a segment may consist of a conversation taking place between he and another listener with questions YOU may be able to relate to or have yourself. Whatever he is talking about, this is the podcast I keep on repeat, because I'm always learning something that I can incorporate to improve some facet of my life. And I also learn of new podcasts I find very useful and entertaining through some of his guests' as well. Seriously, skim through the segment topics and choose whatever catches your eye first and I promise you will not want to turn it off! I also use their Performance Care and Bulletproof programs and I think everyone should be incorporating these daily. Whether you're an athlete or not, 17 years old or 92 years young, you will benefit from the content in these podcasts as well as what they are offering in any of their programs. And if you live ANYWHERE within driving distance of his office in Island Park (NY)-quit procrastinating and get your fanny moving. I hope to be seeing him soon, all the way from Oklahoma!

Real information from real doctors, not quick-fix quackery.
Dr. Sean and Dr. Jeremy bring to the athletic podcast world an immensely informative and expertly delivered show, primarily directed at the Crossfit community. Their knowledge and understanding of human functional movement and how that system is challenged and stressed, then optimized or damaged, and how these processes and outcomes can be managed, is extensive. Even more impressive is their outstanding abilities to communicate this knowledge to athletes and coaches alike, in such clear and concise language, that complex information is beautifully distilled and becomes immediately applicable in a training environment. Most importantly, Dr. Sean Pastuch and Dr. Jeremy Todd, not only have the credentials and experience to provide such guidance, but they do so with such transparent responsibility, always keeping the athlete's well being as the primary concern. Between the Active Life podcast, Active Life Rx on Instagram and the Active Life channel on YouTube, these men continue to pour their passion for this topic into multiple platforms in order to best help Crossfitters stay healthy and continue pursuing an active lifestyle for a lifetime.

I LOVE this podcast. Not only is it full of applicable information for athletes it inspires clinicians. I'm an ATC and have fallen victim to burn out. I've been uninspired and looking for ways to get out of healthcare for awhile. I found crossfit almost two years ago, eventually got some wrist pain and started seeking answers. I got myself to a Bulletproof clinic and was sold. Listening to this podcast not only gives great information to become a healthier, stronger athlete but inspires clinicians to question everything you've learned, what you're currently doing and to keep learning every day. I can't say thank you enough. Keep it coming! -Molly Seifert

Awesome Dr. excellent content,
I had the opportunity to be seen by Dr. Sean a little over a month ago. It was a 3 hour drive for me to get to him. I found the visit to be more than expected. I went to him because I was not receiving the treatment that I needed to get better. I am not a crossfit athlete. I am a 49 year old father of two that still wants to ride skate boards and BMX bikes with my kids. I am not 100% yet but Dr Sean told me what I needed to hear and down deep knew was true. He didn't try to fix me, because I was not broken, just really weak and unstable. My body found stability on its own at the cost of my low back. I am working to correct those weaknesses, and hopefully that will help me to to be without limitations. If you are anywhere close to these guys, you have to go see them, don't procrastinate....

- Money Mindset RehabilitationThe belief that money is the root of all evil leads to people not having enough of it. Money is neutral, having more of it does more to reveal who we are than to define it. We need to break down what money is, how to feel good about having it, and how to earn more of it without guilt, and within our values. - The one about sleep to listen to while you're awake, with Dr. Kirk Parsley | Active Life Podcast Ep 189Dr. Kirk Parsley is a former Navy SEAL. After serving with the SEALs, Doc entered medical school at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences (USUHS) in Bethesda. Doc graduated in 2004, 1 year after the birth of his third child. He interned in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Balboa Naval Hospital San Diego in 2005 and subsequently completed a Navy residency in Hyperbarics and Diving Medicine in 2006. From 2009 to 2013, Doc served as an Undersea Medical Officer at Naval Special Warfare Group One. While there, he led the development of and supervised the group’s first Sports Medicine Rehabilitation center. Doc saw firsthand the effect that low sleep and high stress had on the young SEALs who were under his care, men who he realized looked a whole lot like himself just a few years before. It was during this time that he began to develop the all-natural Sleep Remedy that is now the supplement of choice for Navy SEALs, pro athletes, C-level executives, and thousands of others. - Be a more useful friendIf you have ever been in conversation with a friend, family member, or coworker, and found yourself wanting to jump out of your skin to say something you knew would be hard for them to hear, you've felt the moment this podcast is about. At Active Life, we believe that to be the most useful confidant to anyone in our lives, we need to first earn trust, then we need to execute on it. Executing on trust is saying the thing that the person you care about would benefit from hearing in a way that they know it's said with love. It's a risky move to put yourself in that vulnerable position, what if your friend never trusts you again, what if they feel uncomfortable speaking around you, what if...? We think it's useful to focus on the other side of the if. What if they hear you, and it changes their life for the better? On today's show Dr. Sean and Larry break down how we best know how to do it. Remember to leave the show a five star rating, write us a review, and share with a friend. @larry_thehuman @drseanpastuch @activelifeprofessional @activeliferx0 comments0
