New Ownership New Globalist Agenda
Stratfor used to be an excellent intelligence source of geopolitical information. Now under its new ownership RANE it has become a pseudo intellectual leftist globalist think tank. Just watch CNN and you will get much better production and video of the same information. Instead of explaining the geopolitical reasons why Brexit happened as they would have in the past, they now bring in “experts” to tell you why it was so stupid. Unsubscribing and deleting now. Wasting time, let alone a penny on their “analysis “ which is just rehashed msm, would be really stupid.

Used to swear by this podcast
A few bright spots, but the COVID coverage has shown just how far downhill this has gone. Essentially, all I’ve heard for the last year is, “why can’t all these peons just do what we tell them?” Stratfor and RANE are clearly not providing the focused geopolitical insights that Stratfor was known for. They are not paying attention to the strategic imperatives any more and they have forgotten how their ivory tower philosophizing actually applies on the ground level. I saw someone earlier mentioned skipping any podcast with David Lawrence. I second the motion.

When it was just Stratfor it was outstanding. Since it’s purchase by RANE it’s gone drastically downhill. It’s really just advertising for RANE now. Immediately pass on any podcasts hosted by David Lawrence. Apple’s Terms and Conditions are more engaging.

I don’t know if there’s a problem with the podcast or the carrier, but sometimes the volume is inconsistent and an episode that I was eager to listen hasn’t uploaded. I’ve also had trouble deleting old episodes from this podcast and others. I’m one gen back on an iPhone with the latest software.

Insightful and enlightening
Years ago when Stratfor started their podcast I had been a regular listener, but over time became too busy, they transferred to a video podcast, and I dropped off. As I've slowly been getting more and more fed up with people that call themselves journalists these days, it occurred to me to see if Stratfor once again had an audio podcast and I was happily rewarded. Their objective analysis is a breath of fresh air in trying to make sense of the players and their motivations in the world, and I can not recommend it highly enough.
