Fun, but…
Rather than make the conclusion that cis-white-males shouldn’t write books, perhaps they should uplift those in need. If the both of you are frustrated with the lack of “authenticity” (to be blunt) then perhaps using your years of knowledge, skill, and practice to uplift the true voices of your profession. I’m constantly looking for recipes that aren’t ‘All Recipes’ or ‘Bon Appetit’ as mentioned in the show. If your podcast highlighted those authentic people, I’d listen more than I already do now. Food is art and art doesn’t put up walls. Yes, there are too many non-authentic (white) voices out there. Condemning them to leave isn’t the answer. 4 stars, good pod. Always gonna listen. Waiting for more. Episode on “camping foods” could be fun if it doesn’t exist already.

Fav podcast of all time
I’ve been listening for ages, have listened to every single episode, and look forward to new episodes every week. Is it weird that Molly and Matthew feel like my friends? They’re hilarious and authentic, and I really love their friendship. I also sometimes learn stuff about food. This show has really gotten me through some rough times over the past few years. Keep up the good work, you two (and Abby)!

Favorite blind podcast subscription
Subscribed to a random assortment of food podcasts to improve my cooking, this is the only one I still listen to. 4 years later my cooking improvements includes how to chop an onion and that’s about it. I’m pleased with the laughs to learning ratio. Very amusing, super silly. My go to when someone asks to put a podcast on.

The best podcast there is
This is the best podcast out there, and you are lucky to have found it. I’ve been listening and relistening to Spilled Milk for about 6 years now. Matthew and Molly put on the best show out there, and it’s about so much more than food. Start from the beginning and listen to their lives and relationships evolve, grow with them, laugh hysterically and cry with them. It’s so special. Listener Rachel

Long time listener
I've listened to this show since the first year. I loved it. But recently the banter has been not as fun or funny, the focus isn't on the food, and it feels like they're over thinking every comment and thought in a way they didn't previously. It no longer feels natural and fun. It feels forced and pretentious, like an elementary school putting on Titus Andronicus.

Can’t Anymore
I listened to every single episode since the first one (10 years ago??) but have stopped since Jan/Feb this year since it is not funny OR entertaining anymore at all. There was a thing about weird animals at one point, they don’t talk about food, the jokes are painful. Molly plays “the look how dumb/indifferent I am” trope and Matthew’s humor is just: no. Sorry guys.

The CONSTANT Stupidity
I always start listening with great anticipation of actually learning something but can’t get past the constant stupid comments. Especially annoying is when they pretend not to know something. Do your research BEFORE the podcast rather than pretend to guess … and guess … and guess … and then read aloud a Wikipedia paragraph.

Sanity-saving and a pure joy
I’ve known about this podcast for many years peripherally through Molly’s blog, but I’m a more recent listener. I feel it’s like being a kid listening in on your cool older brother & sister or cousins jabbering away at the kitchen table about different foods they like/dislike/trying for the first time, being silly, sometimes making snide remarks at each other, and wailing/ranting with/at each other, and it’s just one of the best, purely joyful things to listen to for me. I listen to it on the car while commuting nearly every day, and sometimes during work if I am doing more manual things, and it’s always the highlight of my day. I learn cool facts and history about food products and ingredients (although that’s almost secondary to the point of the show), and often laugh out loud at their antics. I love hearing Molly laughing until she’s out of breath and her tiny shrieks trying to recover, Matthew’s boisterous laugh in which he throws his head back away from the mic so it’s heard in the background, Matthew’s eager “yes yes!”, Molly’s scolding “Matthew! Shut up!” when he keeps interrupting her with more and more jokes.... I could go on. I also like that they do their best to be culturally sensitive (and respond to feedback if they cross the line), and honestly, it’s nice to know even food writers were picky eaters as kids and still have strong food preferences and dislikes. Thank you for creating this show, Molly and Matthew. It makes me wish I could be your friend in real life (but that would be a bit too weird), but I feel like I sort of vicariously am part of your friend group through listening to your show, and that speaks to how genuine and relatable you guys make the show for your listeners. Thank you.

Downhill Big Time
I can’t believe that, after listening to this podcast loyally for about six years, having heard almost every single episode ever created, even after buying and reading one of Molly’s book, I unsubscribed and stopped listening. I couldn’t do it anymore. This used to be funny and about food. I appreciated the personal stories and nostalgia. I loved the deep dives and family stories - the talk about kids and partners was relatable. Now, though, Molly and Matthew have become absolutely insufferable. This podcast isn’t funny anymore, it is just a weird, narcissistic rant-fest without any charm. They trash people who have different opinions about food - or anything, really (and I share a lot of their opinions!). I’ve tried to listen and remain loyal but it’s been downhill for the past year or so. I’m done. My friends who listen feel the same way. I would still recommend the earlier episodes. They’ve lost their purpose and their charm, there’s zero self awareness. Find it again, Matthew and Molly, and maybe listeners will come back.

Interesting Content but Too Much Interupting
The content is super interesting and draws me to keep re-subscribing after I inevitably unsubscribe . The problem is , Molly never gets to finish a sentence and it’s really distracting. Her cohost is entertaining but maybe not as much as he thinks. More food and drink, less mansplaining.

I love this podcast. How I could find a podcast of two science nerds who love food, and one who rode horses is truly serendipity. I love all the side randomness and sometimes learn things about food! If you need a fun light-hearted break in your day try Spilled Milk. Comfort food but for your ears?
I’ve been a listener to the pod for so long I can’t even remember how I found it. Lately I’ve been binge listening to old episodes as self care (is there a less cringe way to describe that act..) I need a break from all of the political/social everything. This is one of my only safe podcasts that doesn’t trigger some sort of negative spiraling. I have to thank you deeply from the bottom of my heart ♥️ It’s warm and comforting but still engaging and hilarious. I should leave this as a review on Apple podcasts.....

Love love love
Listen, you’re going to get 50% of the facts or less with these two. They don’t try to hide it. But sincerely, every single topic has me ready to try something new (or something not new, long forgotten) like corn on the cob or Kir Royals. I love their not-so-serious take on food and life. Sometimes food podcasts can be so pretentious add full of rules. This podcast is not that. Will you learn about food? Yes. Will you be laughing to tears? Definitely yes.

Soooo Pretentious
Possibly the least informative food podcast around. Molly and Matthew are completely obnoxiously catty and pretentious, which in and of itself, can be entertaining, however the number of times they “admit” that they don’t know the facts behind their topic is extremely annoying. Mostly a waste of time.

I stumbled upon this podcast and now it’s a part of my weekly routine. If I can’t fall asleep? Spilled Milk. If I have a long drive to work? Spilled Milk. When I’m cleaning the house? Spilled Milk. Good lort this show is awful
This show is a complete and utter waste of time. The hosts babble, not offering any useful or entertaining information. What they do is ramble and incessantly talk over each other as if they were caffeinated teenagers. The host says “like” as if it were the only word he knows and the hostess says “anyways” to dismiss her counterparts repeated unhumorous interruptions. The rapid fire chatter is vapid and they don’t appear to do research beyond Google and YouTube. In the Frozen Fruit episode it took 15 minutes of a 40 minute show before they got around to the topic at hand. I see their good intentions and hope they find and much needed editor, some focus and definitely and outline.

My favorite food podcast
Two super-smart late bloomers who know a ton about food but thankfully don't strive to make this podcast particularly educational. Fun segments heavy on nostalgia and in-jokes. The purposefully dorky and low maintenance comedy really lands for me, and I love listening to Molly and Matthew be goofy and cut loose. If you're looking for a first listen, I'd go with "Apples," "Ham and Cheese," or "Meal Planning."

Gone downhill.
If you enjoy not really learning much of anything about their chosen topic of the week but instead prefer to listen to Molly and Matthew say unenlightening things such as, "Mmmm, this tastes good" or "I really like this one" then this is your kind of podcast. I for one am tired of listening to them giggle at their own inside jokes. Take the Dutch Baby podcat for example. I was hoping to learn why they sometimes do not rise, or how to get a crispy version, or why the eggs must be at room tempurature. Instead, I learned nothing escept how "yummy" they are. Duh. They are at their best when reviewing boxes of snacks that viewers send in from foreign countires. Otherwise best to skip it.

Not nearly as clever or funny as they think they are
I guess I just don’t get it, despite loving food, npr, and silly humor. The hosts are way too smug, self-satisfied, and yes, elitist for me to enjoy this extremely pretentious & useless podcast. Couldn’t get past the intro of “Crudités” where Molly pronounced this word multiple times in her incredibly annoying vocally-fried, snobby, nasally voice in her most exaggerated French accent (yeah, so you had two years of French and can say your Rs, we get it). Too cringe-inducing to enjoy. The rest of the episodes follow suit...

A food podcast that’s really not about food
I find this podcast a tad bit annoying and slightly charming all at the same time. Every time I listen I feel like I’m eavesdropping on a private conversation in a very public place (like on a crowded bus, stuck on a very crowded freeway). I gave up listening to learn about food - you just never know where the conversation will go with Matthew and Molly - most of the time I just want to reel them back in, get them back on topic and remind them that this is a food blog. And yet, I keep listening...mostly out of curiosity.

They routinely speaking while audibly chewing food - remember that your mother taught all of us “never speak with your mouth full!” It’s not only rude and poor manners, its disgusting to listen to on a podcast. To make it worse, most of the time they aren’t that knowledgeable about the episode topics and they babble about it and/or guess or say “I don’t know, but In FEEL LIKE… “ e.g. Thai Curry episode whereby neither new the basics of Thai cooking; they both just rambled on about their attempts to cook and eat Thai food. Not funny and not informative at all; just very annoying!

FOODTASTIC FUN
I absolutely am over the moon about this podcast. I'd like to consider myself a foodie and this podcast is hysterical, addictive as well as informative. Thank you for the awesome laughs because when both Matt and Molly lose it and laugh uncontrollably it makes me do the same. I love listening to the older episodes because it reminds me of all the foods I used to eat growing up. It's a blast from the past and M&M make me feel as if we've been friends since we were young. LOVE THIS! I tell my friends all the time to tune into this podcast.

Awesome
I've been listening since almost the beginning of Spilled Milk and have finally sat down to review this amazing podcast. I love talking about food and reminscing about the food "of my youth," so this podcast was perfect for me. Molly and Matthew make me laugh time and again and discuss the finite details of all things food-related without ever coming off as pretentious or out of reach. I appreciate their humor and dedication and will keep coming back for more. I'm also a fan of their books.

This podcast drives me insane.
I listen to this podcast because I like food podcasts and I'm interested in the topics, but every episode is filled with them laughing at each other's jokes, talking over each other and trying way too hard. Molly seems to know absolutely nothing about food, as her most common used phrases are "I don't know" or "I was never allowed to eat this as a kid". They often pose questions for each other and instead of just googling the answer right then so they can have better content by talking about it, they just move on to something else which leaves a lot of questions unanswered and the podcast lacks because of it. When I listen to this podcast I struggle to finish the episodes and grit my teeth every time they prove how very little they actually know about food.

Hysterical Laughter and Gustatory Sounds
This is a five-star podcast whenever Matthew and Molly sing acapella covers of 90s hits. I don't know how much I have learned about cooking or food history, but I do spend a lot of time laughing as these two veer off on (kind of related) pop-culture tangents when chatting about food/food trends. It's waxing nostalgic with your friends about what you ate when you were a kid, or an angsty teen, or a promiscuous college student.

Molly and Matthew are the best!
I recently finished listening to every episode after starting and listening occasionally early last year. They are so hilarious and I find myself hearing one of them say something and you just know when the other one is going to make fun of them. You feel like you're in on the running jokes. I love the variety of food they've tried over the years and the length of the show is just perfect! Sometimes I forget I don't actually know them in real life.

I've been a longtime reader of Molly's blog and loved both her and Matthew's books. This podcast is absolutely hilarious, and I'm the right age to get all their cultural references. While it might take away from a bit of the humor, I wish it was a bit more kid friendly as my 9 year old has loved what she heard before I scrambled to shut it off.

Fabulously Farsical...and Sooo Much Better Than Planet Money
Any podcast that uses gastro-humor in the manner Matthew and Molly whip together with each episode is listeners' gold! As a recent connoiseur of the podcast, I'm not embarrassed to draw the attention of my fellow public transit riders as I laugh out loud at each episode's set of quick quips. Listening to Spilled Milk definitely makes my day better, much like binging on excessive amounts of Ben and Jerry's. A podcast far superior to famous electro-pop singer-songwriter Robyn
I was introduced to Spilled Milk about two years ago (it was the summer) by a "good friend" of mine. Since then I've become a "huge fan" and now "listen" to it "regularly." I know this topic has been controversial, but after some reflection I've concluded that this podcast is indeed better than Robyn. It's catchier and edgier, and it's far more danceable. You really can't compare the two. Oh, and it's better than Planet Money. Magnum Bonum.

Fun podcast
I enjoy this podcast immensely. Love the humor and camaraderie between the hosts. Sometimes I learn something, sometimes I don’t, but I always have a good laugh. I will say that it’s quite obvious they live in a coastal urban area, because a lot of the things they take for granted are not easily available in other parts of the country! And I despise the “junk food” episodes where they get a box of foreign junk food. Listening to people talk about food I can’t picture and will never purchase is not fun and I have taken to skipping these episodes.

I've been meaning to write a review for ages, but finally decided to do so after listening to their last few podcasts. The Melons and Lasagna episodes were some of the funniest I've heard (I have the phrase "noodles, sauce, meat, cheese" stuck in my head now and probably will all day). Matthew and Molly are hilarious together -- I love how comfortable they sound, not at all contrived or forced like some other podcasts I've listened to. Love Molly and Matthew! This is a very fun podcast. I listened skeptically to the first episode thinking it would be a pretentious podcast that discussed obscure foods. On the contrary. My favorite podcast for binge listening during a commute
These two are hysterical. I have a long commute, and I am binge listening to their podcasts in reverse order (newest to oldest) stopping only to pick up new episodes as they become available. THe episodes are not too long and I can get through 3 to 4 per day, depending on traffic and how much news I listen to. Although they are not married to each other, Molly and Matthew do sound like a couple of really close friends who get each other. Sure the jokes can be juvenile at times, but like none of us haven't made a juvenile joke. They know food, but are not like so many shows that tries to impress you with their food knowledge. It's like getting together with a couple of friends to try out some fool. Like one of today's episodes was about mint-chocolate things. I would never have given Keebler's Grasshopper cookies a second glance, but now I wil try them. Same for the chocolate coated mint Oreos. The only hard part is not running my car off of the road when they say something really funny, which has happened a few times.

Good Concept, Bad Jokes
Wish more time was spent on the topic, versus listening to inside jokes and laughing. Approaching a topic light heartedly is one thing but to spend the majority of the time on tangents that go nowhere is another...could be better...

Deliciously absurd
I’ve been an avid listener for years and am finally getting around to writing a review for these guys. The humor is a brilliant mash up of light hearted silliness with witty repartee. They poke fun at themselves as much as they joke about food, which is refreshing for a cooking podcast. It’s also hard not to fall a little in love with them as people. Their chemistry and unabashedly friendly personas are the perfect counterbalance to their biting humor. It’s hard to imagine life without these two!

I listen to this podcast religiously - sometimes listening to the same episodes more than one time because they make me laugh so hard. I found a kind of entertainment in their silliness that I previously had only found in The Office (before Steve Carrell left). Seriously, they make me laugh so hard and their love for food always inspires me. They’re the best company when you’re bored at home. I regularly get a Magnum Bonum while listening.

Best part of my Thursdays.
Hilarious, entertaining, and clever to boot. Their "walks down memory lane" never disappoint (listen to the gushing candy episode. Do it now.). Also kudos to these guys for discovering all of the perfectly engineered food products by wading through all the duds.

Funny, irreverent, and sometimes I learn stuff
What's great about Spilled Milk is that Matthew and Molly are both experienced cooks and food writers, but they don't take themselves or the food they try on the show seriously. They really know how to talk about food and cooking, but the spirit of blithe experimentation they bring to the show makes it accessible and enjoyable even for people who aren't into food. And when they don't know the answer, they just make something up. The result is hilarious, entertaining, and occasionally educational.

It’s the Magnum Bonum of podcasts
I’ve had numerous laugh-out-loud moments in my car listening to Molly and Matthew. I’ve also had moments of great nostalgia (Frozen Treats on a Stick…yes, I miss Jello Pudding Pops too!). I’ve been binge-listening to Spilled Milk recently, so I’m almost all caught up with every episode, and what the bleep am I going to do when that happens? Go back to the America’s Test Kitchen podcast?? I don’t want to have to take notes from a podcast while I’m driving home from work — not safe!!

Doesn't take itself too seriously and has the best topics on foods I never really think about. This is the only podcast I can listen to on my morning commute because it is light and wakes me up and makes me smile. I will more than occasionally laugh out loud on the crowded train.

I love these two bonkers. I wish I could just be a fly on the wall when they record their show. I know nothing about food except I need to eat it to be a human person, so I mostly just listen for the weird laughs. But I do learn things as well! I'm know more about life and bad puns than I ever thought possible from a podcast. I look forward to Thursdays more than is probably healthy, but Molly and Matthew are a freaking delight.

I never realized my eating life needed more juvenile humor. . . but it does
If I had been discussing gourmet foodie topics with my friends when I was 13, this is probably what it would have sounded like. But it would have been weird. This podcast, though, this is totally normal. Want to know how discussions of innocent products like butter and tacos get an explicit rating? Yeah, you’ll have to listen to find out. P.S. After reading other reviews - I think you’re either a listener who likes shows where the hosts crack each other up, or you aren’t that sort of listener. If you aren’t, then this is NOT the podcast for you (so just read the hosts’ blogs instead)

I love this podcast!!!
So I just discovered this podcast yesterday and listened to at least ten shows today while I cleaned the house. You have no idea how much I appreciate being able to laugh so hard I almost cry (which happened many times) while I'm doing such a boring task for 6 hours (because honestly, who really wants to spend their time cleaning, right?). Matthew & Molly have AMAZING CHEMISTRY together as co-podcasters (not quite sure what the technical term is). Really, they are well worth listening too (if you're in doubt, just pick an episode that sounds interesting and give it a go! I started with their German Christmas food episode and it was great. ;-) By the way, just a warning, if you're trying to give up sugar (like I am), you might find the episodes about junk food, Halloween candy, donuts and anything else that relates to sugary goodness a bit challenging (I found that out the hard way and almost ran out of the house to buy a nice, puffy glazed donut until I remembered that at 5:00 in the afternoon, the donut would't taste as delicious as it sounded on the podcast ). As a nutritionist, I never thought that listening to a podcast of people eating food (most of which I don't eat anymore) and talking about it would ever be interesting, but I was wrong. I'm glad I discovered them. I think they'll be my new favorite podcast. :-)

Molly and Matthew are hilarious hosts who share their perspectives on everything from shallots to Singapore junk food. Their voices are authentic and their choice of topics is diverse. I have retold portions of this podcast to my students and colleagues. I’m not really a podcast pusher, but for Spilled Milk, I am.

Fun and silly.
This podcast taps into my wish to sit in a kitchen and talk/complain/quibble about food and my weird opinions about them. If you find yourself doing that with your fellow food nerd friends, you'll probably get a kick out of this. Also, very entertaining on bus rides.

Full of surprises
What do you get when a single, comparative lit major with three cats and her gay best friend with an explosive laugh (explosive=annoying) get together to talk about food? Spilled Milk! The first surprise is that, in fact, Molly is not single and doesn’t live in a book-filled apartment with cats (I don’t know about her education). Surprise number 2 – the gay best friend is not gay, although sometimes you can hear him rattling around in his purse for some lip balm. (Oddly lip balm was the topic of a whole episode.) The show is often interesting, more often unfocused and it feels lately like they are putting less work into the topics, but I’m hopeful for a second wind.

I'm a huge fan of Molly's blog, and I enjoyed Matthew's book about feeding his daughter, but I wasn't sold on the podcast when I first heard it. I committed to listening to 10 episodes before dismissing it, and I'm really glad I did! I enjoy hearing their hilarious (and often useful!) perspectives on foods. I love that the lengths of the episodes vary, so I can choose a short one when I only have a few minutes to listen.

I listened to one episode (lip balm) and didn't even get through it. They annoyed me with their laughing at each other. But I gave it another try (start with a food one), and here i am, wishing there were more back episodes to sate my need for more Spilled Milk Podcase. Give it a try.

Great minus the lame jokes
I discovered this podcast in December 2014 so I'm starting from the beginning. I love listening but could do without the lame, eye-roll inducing jokes (not you Molly). Not every sentence needs to be infused with a joke, especially jokes that are forced and ill-timed and ill-placed. A few of the jokes made me want to stop listening. Almost.

A podcast about nothing, and it’s everything
I’m embarrassed to admit how much I love this podcast. I think the first episode I ever listened to was the one about canned fruit. The fact that two adults could spend 20 minutes talking about canned fruit permanently changed my conceptions of what’s possible and what’s interesting. I regularly laugh out loud while listening to Spilled Milk episodes, and there’s something deeply reassuring about the show: the humor is almost never mean-spirited, and it’s all about discovering what’s wonderful about foods that are often scorned or dismissed. Plus they managed to do an episode about caramel corn that ended up being mostly about making out.

My Favorite Podcast
Molly and Matthew’s podcast is, without question, my favorite food-related podcast. In fact, it’s my favorite podcast, period! I started listening when my second baby was born; I’d listen and nurse her and try not to wake her up by laughing and snorting! I quickly burned through all the past episodes and now wait (impatiently) for new episodes at the end of each week. M&M are smart, sharp-witted, knowledgable, and most importantly, they have the same sense of humor as I do: that of a 14 year old boy.

Love this podcast- only one tiny tweak...
I stumbled on Spilled Milk just after their first broadcast and have had some of the biggest laughs ever over the course of its run. The difference between those first podcasts and now is amazing. The only thing I would tweak is I wish they would act more authoritative. Once in a while one (or both of them( will go off on a tangent and say several times that they don't know what they're talking about. I have no problem with tangents, sometimes they are the best part of the podcast, but to say/repeat that you don't know anything about the subject you're talking about takes away from their authority (and makes it sound like they didn't do research or prepare at all, which I know isn't the case...). That's the only negative comment I have about the show at all. Definitely worth listening to if you have a quirky sense of humor and love food!

"and you can't have any"
I don't listen to this podcast to gain insights into new foods, recipes, or food history. I listen because Matthew and Molly make you feel like you are sitting down at the table with them, as friends, and enjoying some food. Sure you might get some new tip on how to cut an onion but really what has me coming back for seconds are the uber puny jokes with sexual innuendos, food smacking into the microphone, and nostalgia/respect for everyday food.

Meta-Binging
I just binged listened to most of the episodes up until now and I regret nothing. Each which is itself a binge on a certain food/food group/ food product group. The two hosts provide a basic and detailed but entertaining discussion of each food. You (read:) will be groaning and laughing heartily with each episode. This entertained the botanist, Francophile, and foodie in me. They also reference some great books/people that would be good for research if you're looking for new ways to expand your food interest or whether you're just starting. So go listen already. Best and happy listening.

If Portlandia Cooked up a Podcast
Listening to Spilled Milk I am certain I have found the secret inspiration for Portlandia. Like the IFC show Spilled Milk is absurd, self-involved, and hilarious. But in the case of Spilled Milk I don't think any of this is intentional. Which makes it all the funnier! Instead of teaching listeners to cook, or imparting any nutritional information the hosts simply eat food they have prepared prior to the show and discuss their feelings about it. You will find out a lot more about the personality quirks of the hosts than you will about any particular ingredient or cooking method. You may not learn a lot but you'll laugh.

Adolescent at times yet still hilarious, charming and addictive
Based on the content, I find the podcast a good length at 15 or so minutes, and I'll listen to multiple podcasts in a row depending on what I am doing at the time. Molly and Matthew are obviously well bred and very funny (if adolescent at times), and it reminds me of the conversations I have while spending time with my best friends (if adolescent at times); which is why I find it so addictive and charming. Also, being a recent transplant to Seattle I learn all sorts of things about local stuff- like where to find heirloom apples (Jerzy Boyz at the Ballard and U district farmers market). I hope the podcast continues on and on and on and on!

Funny, knowledgeable -- my only complaint that record new podcasts more often. The hosts have great chemistry, that silly, slightly snide banter we over-educated, npr-loving foodie types adore. This is not the place for anyone looking for serious cooking advice -- both hosts offer mainstream recipes and food news elsewhere. This is more like what happens when an evening cooking with a couple of old friends starts to get out of hand....

There are better podcasts out there
I much prefer The Sporkful to this one. I only listened to about 5 episodes before I deleted my subscription. The guys voice is pretty annoying, the sound quality isn't the greatest, and it isn't all that interesting.

.......and you can't have any!
Absolutely love this podcast! Molly and Matthew have great chemistry together and I constantly find myself laughing with them not only because they're hilarious but because I can actually relate to some of the things they talk about (licorice stuck in molars, food aversions, junk food etc). I've learned a few things along the way with and I'm always entertained. Looking forward to more!

Funny and informative
This is a great podcast. I work in front of a computer all day long and I'm constantly in need of an entertaining and interesting podcast to hear. The host are soo funny and amusing that I don't get bored listening to them talk about food. Great show you guys!!!!!!

You're not as funny as you think
I like the idea of this podcast but then you have to spend so much time listening to Matt and Molly laugh at themselves/each other that it's just irritating. Want a smart and humorous but non pretentious look at food (which is what this is going for) then try out The Sporkful podcast

Love this podcast!!!
I look forward to listening to this podcast every week. Molly and Matthew are hilarious!!! I've read some of Molly's work and found it great reading so I had high hopes for this podcast. And it didn't dissapoint!

Pretty good so far
I've enjoyed the first three podcasts but it's true they should control their laughter a bit and try to focus more on good recipe ideas. Also, I worked at braums (lived in Oklahoma my whole life) and they do not make chocolate shakes from vanilla. They can be totally mediocre but their ice cream is way superior to Blue Bell, which is all you can find in Austin restaurants where I just moved. Hoping these get better as they go along.

Not quite as funny as they think they are
I really enjoy the writing of both Molly and Matthew, and I wanted to love Spilled Milk, but I'm afraid it is rather painful for me to listen to. Mostly because of the really bad jokes followed by hysterical laughter. What is clever and funny alone in your kitchen with a close friend doesn't always translate, and I'm afraid that's very much the case here. I do keep listening out of some weird sense of loyalty and love of the *idea* of this program, but I'm not sure how much I would listen if I didn't work from home and wasn't often looking to fill the silence.

Fun and entertaining
I subscribe to several food podcasts and this is the only one that always makes me laugh out loud. Molly and Matthew are funny and entertaining and I always learn something new too, which is great.

My favorite podcast
I seriously love this podcast. The hosts are so genuine and cute together. I almost always learn something about the foods that are the subject. But, even when I don't listening to them cook, eat, and discuss the topic is always a breath of fresh air. This week's special call-in guest discussing how long to cook peas made me snort out loud. That is the gift of this podcast, who would have thought that listening to someone discuss how long to cook peas would be so super entertaining!!!

Holy ding-dongs, this is funny...
This has got to be one of the funniest, most entertaining food podcasts out there. It had me in tears at work, I was trying to duguse my laughter only to have my coworkers think I was crying! Yet even through all the laughter, you taught me a few things! Keep them coming, you are doing everything right! Much love!

A Ridiculous Romp Through the World of Food
Despite being a long-time reder of Molly's blog, I wasn't sure what to expect when she announced her new podcast. Six episodes in, I'm wondering how a show that consists largely of hysterical laughter can be so bizarrely engaging. With silliness far outweighing any substantial content, Spilled Milk is the podcast equivalent of the most addictive junk food. If you want to hear some serious discussions about food and cooking, check out The Splendid Table from American Public Media. However, if you want to hear someone desperately trying to disengage a chunk of Scandanavian licorice from her back molar, I recommend you give Spilled Milk a listen.

Silliness abounds
Note: this is a correction of my previous review in which I clicked the wrong number of "stars" These two certainly enjoy each other and love to laugh...much like the npr car guys, the silliness abounds. Much fun here...though I hasten to add that I do prefer their writing. However, will continue to listen and see where they take this audio collaboration

Love the podcast!
As an avid fan of the culinary arts, I must admit that I love this podcast! I think the relationship between Matthew and Molly is light and comical. I love to listen to their banter during the podcast and the outtakes...all in the light of cooking. You may as well have a podcast about underwater basket weaving (no offense to this art's fans) and I would still tune in! Keep up the good work!

Who knew?
I love watching cooking shows, but I wasn't sure about listening to one. This was great. I learned a surprising amount and laughed out loud. Matthew and Molly are clearly having so much fun and they just play off of each other so well; you'd think they'd been producing a show forever. Listen and you'll be hooked.

making food even more fun, if possible
though based on just one episode, i have to praise matthew and molly for a light, witty yet informative podcast for the more casual foodie. you know, the foodie who likes snowy white bottoms and braising their meat throughout the long winter. i enjoyed the episode thoroughly, and though already a fan of matthew and molly's blogs ("roots and grubs" and "orangette", respectively), and with a serious bias, i suspect that this podcast will be a hit for a long time to come.
