Each episode is different. Sometimes they'll bring you a Hollywood guest such as comedian Anjelah Reyes-Johnson or renowned School Psychologist Dr.Jody Carrington. Sometimes they might read emails from fans, riffing on their unbelievable, real life, classroom stories. Other times they might argue over the most realistic conspiracy theories. You never know!

Kindergarten Kraziness
Hi Joe! I’m not ever sure how I found your podcast, but I’m both glad I did and shocked I haven’t reviewed it yet! 🤔 I taught at multiple grade levels, the last 9 years being preschool sped. As much as I LOVED it and felt good at it, in my opinion, it sadly started to shift and became more about the ppwk than the students and paraprofessionals that were needed to help the early intervention kiddos. I hung on for 3 years longer than I could mentally and emotionally handle, but I had the hardest time leaving “my kids”…. This year (2021-2022) I finally put myself first. I interviewed at my AMAZING school (the same one at the preschool sped position), and got the kinder position!!! It’s been more of a transition that I was expecting (both an AM and PM class), but the kinder team are total rockstars and next year I’ll be full-day!! Even though I want to cry in my closet somedays, I absolutely LOVE IT! I’m even more excited to have an entire day to fit in more than I could this year. Your podcast, IG and Tik Tok videos bring more joy and laugh-crying than I thought possible. So, thank you. Give Morgan and Mack all the cuddles they deserve! Love, Danielle.

Fabulous Podcast
If you are a teacher or if you’re not you need to listen because it is hilarious. He makes my desk job more tolerable. And makes me miss being a kindergarten aide. So many fond memories like Christmas 2019 when I ruined little B’s life when the class voted on Buddy for our elf’s name instead of the one he wanted so he hid behind a bookcase and proceeded to cry and yell at me how his life was over. Last Day of School!
I love this episode! I am 4’7” and I teach 2nd grade. so my students are pretty much my height, and some are taller than me by the end of the year. I felt for your teaching partner on a spiritual level when you talked about how the kids will touch her randomly and somewhat inappropriately because this happens to me ALL the time! 😂😂

I love this podcast. Kids do crazy things. I work in a Middle School & clean up behind 6th graders. They put graffiti on the boys room that is at best weird. While they were gone for six weeks the bathrooms were remodeled. The construction company found a piece that sound kid draw (very well) of 2 boys peeing on each other and on the floor. Let’s just say all my coworkers had to see it. It definitely explained the urine smell in the boys room

A Perfect Ten!
This pod cast makes me laugh out loud EVERY time I listen, even when I re-play an episode. I listen to it with my 9 and 7 year old daughters and they laugh right along with me. So I work in retail management so not all this is completely relatable but it is all hilarious. Love love love these stories! Plus I am getting some insight into what will happen next year when my almost 5 year old niece will be starting kindergarten. She and my sister live with me and I do the “parent” drop off. I’ve wanted to be a podcast person for a long time. It makes you sound like an intellectual when you can start a sentence with “so I was listening to this podcast...” I would just never remember to look for one or turn one on when I got in the car. HOWEVER. Since starting The Social Studies Podcast, I never forget! Mr. D is hilarious and relatable. New episodes come out on Monday and it gives me something to look forward to on my drive home.

Bachelorette coverage is gold
I seriously accidentally found this podcast because I’m a social science teacher and was looking for a social studies podcast. I’m so glad I did!!! It gives me life. I’m commenting mostly to applaud the new episodes covering the bachelorette. I’ve tried to find a bachelorette recap podcast for awhile and they weren’t cutting it. Finally a real recap! That last episode was so uncomfy and bachelor related pods won’t address that this season is horrible!

Joe is extremely kind hearted, witty, and says what we are ALL thinking which is what makes this podcast so great. He interviews comedians, teachers, family, friends, heck, probably your neighbor.
