Amazing guests and important guests with all the authenticity
I started listening to So Money with Farnoosh a little over a year ago when I decided to start a side hustle and become a financial educator. What I love most about Farnoosh’s podcast is that you hear so many perspectives from so many talented and smart people from all walks of life. Even if the topic of the day isn’t directly related to you, there are always lessons to be learned. I’m not a mom for example, but I love listening to episodes about parenting because it gives me a better understanding of the challenges of being a parent and managing your money. I’m constantly learning and hearing new perspectives that make me a better, more empathetic educator. You’ve truly carved out such a special and needed niche in the podcast world. Thank you!

Love all things Farnoosh!
I am such a huge fan of Farnoosh and her show! I’ve been a long time listener of many podcasts, but So Money is the only one I never miss. This show has a fantastic selection of guests, though Friday’s Ask Farnoosh episodes are always my favorite. Even when the questions don’t directly apply to me, I love hearing the thoughtful and intelligent answers given. I am most impressed by Farnoosh’s ability to appeal to a varied audience- race, age, gender, and financial status. As a small creative business owner myself, I’ve learned many valuable bits of information that I’ve only ever heard from Farnoosh. Even my kids know her by name- anytime I mention something money related, they assume I learned it from Farnoosh. I’m excitedly awaiting her book release later this fall and highly recommend her show!

Wanted Financial advice but got so much more
I started listening to Farnoosh 8 months ago because my husband lost his job. We were down to one income and I knew we needed to start making smarter money decisions. I’ve a learned a lot about managing finances but more importantly I’ve learned how to manage my feelings and fears when it comes to money. Thankfully, my husband had his first day at his new job today and, just when we thought things would calm down, we found out we are pregnant with our first child. However, I’m ready to tackle these new challenges in my “healthy state of panic” mindset.

The brightest start to my M/W/F
I genuinely look forward to this podcast every week and have learned so much. I’m 22, live in NYC, and have just started my career. I actually majored in Finance in college, but became a little bit lost in this passion of mine when I discovered what life working in Finance at a bank was really like. I work in consulting now, but truly this podcast has helped me to find my passion for personal finance. Farnoosh feels like a mother figure -teaching me all there is to know about life and money and sharing relatable stories about her life and upbringing. She brings on so many interesting, diverse guests, with unique perspectives and stories. This podcast is the first thing I listen to every Monday, Wednesday, Friday. Keep it up Farnoosh!

Advice, Empowerment, Real Talk
Quickly became my favorite podcast when I started listening a few years ago. As a fellow Xennial breadwinning working mom, I find the podcast relatable and engaging. Farnoosh is motivating and empowering. This podcast single-handedly inspired me to finally get my financial ducks in a row in early 2020, and the advice has paid off and enabled growth and confidence throughout the challenges of the pandemic and more recently an unexpected job loss. Finally got around to writing a review after all these years (full disclosure - hoping for that free money consult!!) Thank you and can’t wait for your book! -Anonymous Fangirl

Farnoosh, I’ve been listening to you for over 2 years, and you were one of the main inspirations to start my own podcast in Spanish. Though it’s paused, I still believe in it. I’ve learned so much from your perspective and your diverse invitees, that Im much better in my life thanks to your podcast- I hope to start again with “De Peso a Peso” in the fall. Please send me good vibs for a new beginning.

Empowering for women, men, all between!
I am a new listener to “So Money” and believe when I say, there is an episode here for all of us. Farnoosh is an empowering, smart, creative and articulate financial adviser. If you know you know, the CFO in many brown homes are our women. My mother for example, was in charge of our family business’ finances, paid our bills, and invested in our futures while being a full time homemaker. My hardworking dad (RIP) went to work everyday to provide and mama was the at home chief financial officer. While she’s gracefully aging and adorably shrinking every day, we do not make any financial moves without “the boss”. Farnoosh’s topics hit so close to home that I’ve made sure all my 30 y/o something cousins added “So Money” to their streams. Farnoosh, you are heroic and I’m so proud of you. Thank you for being a leader! Maher I Naser

A grounding experience
I’ve been a faithful listener of the show for a little over a year now and it’s my go to podcast recommendation in any conversation. Yesterday’s conversation with Jane Biondi Munna felt eerily relatable. My husband’s lifelong dream has been to work in basketball, and many of our life and financial decisions have revolved around it. He’s quickly climbed the ladder in this world, but now that we’re in our late 20s and new parents he’s wondering if the trade offs to seeing this dream to the end will continue to be worth it. It feels almost wrong to change gears prematurely after all the work that our family’s put into this dream, but this episode was a great reminder that a sense of accomplishment can come from within, and that there’s nothing wrong with seeking a paycheck that brings a sense of security and possibility. So grateful for the messaging on this podcast that continually reminds me that money is a tool and helps me to remove some of the more emotional narratives surrounding it.

Let’s be Frank!
Loved listening to the interview with Jane Biondi Munna today. Knowing that her father understood that she could and should forge her own path in life really personifies Frank further beyond “mogul” status and his (and her!) fascinating career trajectories. Looking forward to reading, learning more about both father and daughter, and getting more great advice to apply to my own career as a twenty something still trying to figure it out!

Outstanding financial podcast
Farnoosh is an revelation! This podcast makes an excellent addition to your playlist, as Farnoosh and her guests go beyond merely discussing personal finance and focus on how to build the life you want. What I love most is that she gives space to voices that we don't always get to hear in the financial world: Women, BIPOC writers and experts, and immigrants and first-generation Americans, all of whom have a unique perspective to offer us all. I look forward to every episode.

Not Every Episode is for Everyone and that’s a Good Thing
I’ve read enough on personal finance that I don’t need yet another podcast on paying down debt or investing in index funds. What I love about this show is that dives into more detailed questions and interviews with experts. Of course that means not every episode is for me. I skipped the episode about saving for your kid’s college fund but really appreciated the episode about finance at forty. Even if the description doesn’t interest me, I always listen to the first few minutes to see if there’s something unexpected. I’ve found many times an interesting nugget of info in a surprising place.

Sound and Relevant Advice at Every Stage of Your Financial Life
Farnoosh’s voice has followed me throughout vital stages of my financial life. I began following her advice in the late 2000s/early 2010s in my 20s at the beginning of my professional career and having student loan debt. As a first gen woman from an immigrant background unfamiliar with how to navigate my finances beyond basic survival, her voice discussing personal finance and sharing how to build wealth was a new world to me. I’ve followed her advice through the years, and I am now a married parent of 2 that has paid off her student loans, holds little household debt besides a mortgage, and wants to transform generational cycles of debt into generational cycles of wealth for my children. I look forward every week to listening to the So Money Podcast to provide relevant information about financial topics I continue to directly apply to my life. THANK YOU FARNOOSH for continuing to share your voice, and I look forward to following your career and perspective for the next stages of my financial life.

2,096 minutes! (Love this podcast!)
I rarely write reviews but after my Spotify Year Wrapped told me it was my most listened to podcast (2,096 minutes and counting in 2022) I had to write a review! As a ambitious, career driven business development lead at a corporation, entrepreneur, new mom, and the one who leads the financial decision making in our household, Farnoosh has made a huge impact on how I think about money in all facets of my life! I am able to understand and provide finance related insights in a much more knowledgeable way at work, and I am making better financial decisions personally. As someone without a financial background who found the topic intimidating, Farnoosh brings an approachable, relatable and thoughtful perspective to the topic. I’ve recommended this podcast and her book to so many women and men that I mentor and simply can’t get enough or thank her enough! - Elena Z

Super helpful and refreshing
Just started listening a couple months ago. I'm a new mom and am trying to refocus on finances for my family and little one's future. This podcast is helpful to keep motivated to refocus my long term goals without experiencing any guilt or shame over my financial mishaps prior to having a child. I find the topics motivating and guests relatable. Thanks for all that you do!

Listen with my daughters!
I love this podcast for many reasons, but mostly because it speaks to me as a Gen X woman “who makes more.” This podcast has made me think about money and investing in new ways and the guests are always interesting and informative. But the best part is playing it for my daughters, ages, 11 & 10, who love Farnoosh and are learning about money from a true role model.

Empowering, Enlightening and Uplifting
So Money is an amazing podcast that stands out because of Farnoosh’s meticulous and intentional approach to relatable topics that affect underprivileged and underrepresented folks in a way that does not make you feel less than for not having a grasp on your personal finances. In addition, she always features and promotes other podcasts that will help everyone on their personal and financial journeys, even if they would potentially rival her own. Her dedication to ensuring that people can feel they can take control of their financial journeys and removing the shame of being uneducated in this space is the reason why I love listening to So Money!

Kindergarten commentary
Farnoosh… I sooo loved your podcast on October 28… When you started out by describing your experience in your child’s kindergarten classroom.… As a kindergarten teacher of 35 years -I just chuckled out loud at your comments. It truly made me reminisce about all of my cherished memories in my kindergarten classroom. I have listened to you for many years… And I always appreciate how you bring such a personalized touch to your great financial advice. Engaging, educational, and entertaining
Farnoosh‘s background as a journalist and financial expert elevates the show beyond either just a financial education show or an interview show and provides instead an engaging podcast with gems of wisdom directly transferable to real life. I love this show so much that in between new episodes I’ve been going through the backlist on my commute, and am already in the 300s without getting tired of it at all. Farnoosh does a fantastic job of asking questions that humanize money issues across a huge span of diverse speakers. Also quick note that as a fellow Iranian-American woman I was so grateful to hear Farnoosh speak out about the current situation in Iran. It would have been easy not to say anything and it means so much that she uses her platform to bring awareness to major global issues like this one and others in the past also.

SO Relevant, Relatable, and Informative! A Must-Listen.
Farnoosh is one of the most inspiring and well-researched voices in the personal finance space. She and her guests cover a wide range of financial topics from investing, to credit, to career change, to crypto, and so much more. All concepts and ideas are presented in an easy/digestible manner and neatly packaged into 30-minute episodes- perfect for a walk, work break, or quick cardio session. I’ve been a loyal listener since the 2020 Covid quarantine days and now find myself bookmarking my favorite episodes to re-visit in the future as a refresher (episodes 1294, 1180, and 789 just to name a few.) Thank you so much, Farnoosh, for being such a thoughtful, positive, and powerful female influence in the financial podcast space <3

So Money is SO Good
Hello Farnoosh, I listen to your podcast So money and absolutely love it. I started tuning in few months back and find myself making my way through all the older episodes gradually and looking forward to the new episodes that you put out. The guests you have on there are so diverse and I walk away from each episode with some practical advice and a whole lot of reassurance. Coming from a family that never spoke much about money or investing your podcast is a great learning tool for me. I appreciate how you pace each episode because it makes me feel like I’m learning a lot in a short period of time and getting sound advice. Even the episodes that I feel aren’t directly related to money topics that apply to me, leave me with new knowledge and insights. Thank you!

Somewhat Disappointed Lately
I've been listening to this show for years and have learned a great deal from it. That said, lately it seems like there's ridicule for the young folks who are tired of being, frankly, exploited at work. Farnoosh says she doesn't "get" quiet quitting and the desire for a soft life. I feel like anyone who's had a job that's required a long commute and long hours for low pay totally understands. I'm a millennial who hustled throughout my 20s, and while I'm grateful for the opportunities I had, I admittedly spent too much of that time thoroughly unhappy and accepting undeserved disrespect because "that's what you do when you're young." Burnout is real. If you see peers making good money on TikTok or YouTube and making their own hours without being belittled by a boss or subject to microaggressions by coworkers, I imagine the desire to make it in the "traditional" way evaporates. (And I say that as someone who's had the privilege of going to college and having jobs with good benefits, which is not the case for most Americans.) As a fellow daughter of immigrants who's done everything the "right" way, I think a bit more compassion is in order. People aren't rejecting working per se; they're just refusing to put their health (physical and mental) and overall peace up for sale. If we've learned anything during the pandemic, it's that life is short. While it's nice to think that we'll all be able to work as hard as possible socking away money in ye olde 401k until 65 and then spend 20ish years in retirement, the grim reality is that people die at 25, 35, 45, etc. I think a lot of young folks — recognizing this — harbor a lot of frustration, fear, and anxiety about the future. Hustling at a job where the employer doesn't care and isn't paying enough for people to make ends meet while the CEO is making $$$$, where the young overworked employee who drops dead of a stroke today will be forgotten and replaced tomorrow... The young folks aren't playing that game anymore.

One of the Best Personal Finance Podcasts
I have listened to the So Money podcast for almost one year now and it is one that keeps me consistently coming back. Other personal finance podcasts only push their services, but Farnoosh really wants you to become a smarter and better consumer and investor. I love her insights on every topic. The diversity of the interviews are a very strong point especially with those groups who are underrepresented. I encourage family and close friends, including my two teenage children to listen to the show. Keep up the great work and thank you for your service to others. Validating, empowering, and informative
I’ve been listening to this podcast for about a year and I feel compelled to write a review after listening to today’s podcast on financial trauma. I never thought a podcast on finances would bring tears to my eyes, but I feel so “seen” and less alone in my financial journey. I have a history (in childhood and in adulthood) of financial trauma. I began listening to this podcast series with the intention to erode the shame over time as I expose myself to terminology, knowledge, etc. on money. I still have much to learn and recover from, but I’m so thankful for Farnoosh and her podcast as I navigate my towards financial well being.

Student loan episode
Hi Farnoush, I love this show! I am a 35yo OB GYN with a mountain of student loan debt but hopeful goals for my financial future. Your show has been informative and encouraging. I listened to the show this morning and wanted to provide some feedback from the perspective of someone that did refinance with Earnest. Personally I love that the government is prioritizing student loan forgiveness despite not benefiting. The one issue I have taken is that I have friends with household incomes over $400k that have not had to make a student loan payment throughout COVID and this term is counting towards their 10 years. I did the math and some of my close friends have saved over $100k during this time. One friend even told me she is able to buy her second home because of this. They’re incomes and job security was not impacted by covid. I find that this is not equitable. I am trying to stay in my lane and focus on my goals but this has really upset me. Thanks for your great advice! I’ll be listening every week :-)

I’m a longtime listener and have learned so much from Farnoosh! Her interviewing style is open and authentic. She brings on thoughtful guests to cover topics that may feel difficult to handle alone. I’m most grateful for her willingness to cover topics such as closing the racial wealth gap and loneliness into a larger framework that demonstrates how we all need community, connection, and knowledge to be our best financial selves.

Farnoosh = Finance Queen
Farnoosh Torabi’s show So Money is part of my weekly programming for financial education. Her topics and guests are timely, content is balanced, and even episodes I’m not sure I can relate to because of my age or socioeconomic status will keep my attention through and through. I love her Finance Friday episodes in particular, many of the questions she answers are ones I felt too afraid to ask myself. I find Farnoosh’s show to be incredibly approachable. My spouse and I are on better investment ground due to her thoughtful guidance and conversations with other accomplished finance authors & experts.

I’ve been a loyal listener of So Money for the past few years and I owe a huge thank you to Farnoosh for helping demystify the world of personal finance. Approachable and empowering
I haven't been much of a "podcast person" until recently since listening to So Money with Farnoosh. After recently turning 40, being self-employed for the past decade, and spending all of my savings the past few years on medical bills--my financial situation has felt hopeless and helpless. Listening to this podcast I feel empowered to understand how I can not only start rebuilding wealth again but start fresh making better financial decisions. This podcast's approachable format combined with Farnoosh's wisdom has turned me into someone who finds myself saying regularly "On the So Money podcast..."

finance talk not boring or scary
I confess that if Farnoosh had a podcast about basket waving, I’d subscribe. Listening to Farnoosh is like spending time with a kind wiser older sister or friend. She makes me feel like no question is too dumb or complicated. Whatever the topic is, she has no-nonsense, easy to follow analysis. Personal finances can be confusing and overwhelming, but Farnoosh makes it less scary. I can finally talk about finances like I actually understand it.

One of the things I appreciate the most about the show is how accessible it is. This Podcast Is Incredible
I just found this podcast about a month ago. I have always been very interested in the topic of personal finance and this podcast makes me feel so much less alone. I love the way Farnoosh is relatable and kind and brings great topics and guests on who can address issues we are all facing. I’ve listened to a few other money people and I have since gotten away from them due to the harsh ways and very “stuck in their ways” mindsets they have toward money. I appreciate the way that Farnoosh can meet someone where they are at and give them options without making them feel like there is only one “right way.” Thank you for all that you do!

Thoughtful and insightful podcast
I have really been enjoying this podcast recently. I am in my early 30s and find myself thinking about money often. Am I doing the right things? What are my goals/values? The guests offer helpful insights and the topics are very interesting. The most recent episode about death and money was thought-provoking and somehow not upsetting at all! I also love the ask Farnoosh episodes. It’s wonderful how considerate and thoughtful Farnoosh is in her approach. So Money makes me feel less alone in my financial pondering. I will definitely keep listening.

Informative and relatable
This is a great podcast! I’ve been listening for a few months now and I thoroughly enjoy listening to Farnoosh and her guests. Farnoosh speaks to you like she’s talking to a friend. I love how there is a variety of topics and I’m learning a lot, not just about money but about other life subjects. I like how the podcast addresses current events. Farnoosh is transparent in her podcast and she shares her life experiences, which I appreciate. I read one of her books many years ago and I’m glad I found her podcast to keep up my knowledge! I highly recommend this podcast to anyone who wants to learn. Oh yea, and Farnoosh is not boring. I’ve listened to other money podcasts that make me want to fall asleep, but Farnoosh keeps the podcast lively and energetic. I love her enthusiasm for the topics and her professionalism is something I aspire to possess. My favorite part of the podcast is when does a Q&A. Farnoosh tells it like it is and is totally relatable. Thanks for all the info, Farnoosh! Will definitely be sharing this podcast with family and friends.

A transformative podcast that has changed the way I view money
While I’m a newer listener to this podcast, I was immediately hooked and BINGED episode after episode. What I love most is Farnoosh speaks to you like a relatable and trustworthy friend (tbh she gives off cool older cousin vibes). She eloquently talks about complex topics and provides a platform for her guests to share a diverse array of topics that can be relatable to all. While my friends might not be happy I found this podcast because it’s all I talk about, I am so happy and thank this podcast for my refreshed view on money.

Recommend to everyone!
I love, love, love this podcast! This week’s episodes with Amanda Holden and Ramit Sethi were some of my favorites; these episodes, like all the others, featured intelligent, meaningful, and thoughtful discussion that targets different intersections of the listeners. This podcast has helped me optimize my professional and financial life and build confidence to discuss these topics with my family and colleagues. I recommend this podcast to everyone I can and even started a book club at work after listening to Rachel Pacheco’s episode on Building up the Boss.

A truly informational and diverse podcast
I’ve been listening to the So Money podcast since the pandemic lockdown in 2020. What I’ve enjoyed most about this podcast is Farnoosh’s ability to find and engage such a range of hosts that all can offer a different perspective to the financial world. Not only have I learned so much about the finances and wealth, but this podcast truly provides the tools and motivation to help you achieve your financial goals.

Required listening for women
I’ve listened to this podcast for over a year and I love it! It’s not just another money podcast, I love how Farnoosh blends worldly topics and important trends with how that impacts our money and financial plans. Her guests are stellar and they help bring a well-rounded view around money - whether it’s mindset, family history or something else, she highlights all the things we don’t think impact our finances .. but actually do! I’ve learned a ton. Thank you!

Changing my relationship with money!
Farnoosh, I’m so glad I found your podcast. I grew up with a very complicated relationship with money, and it was baggage I carried into my marriage. When I got divorced I was severely in debt, which was only exacerbated by establishing a new life and home for myself and my kiddos. I’ve learned a lot, and I’m still working on it, but I’m proud to say I’ve reduced my debt by half and am sitting at a credit score of 832. I’m contributing the max with a company match to my 401k and have a diversified brokerage account. Still working on my savings, which has taken a hit with the recession. But I no longer believe I’m bad with money. Excited to keep learning from you!

So right now
I started listening to Farnoosh and So Money in 2022—it’s so refreshing to hear financial advice with practical next steps, while taking into account real life variables that may mean making choices outside the average financial guidebooks. As a woman in her early 40s I’m playing catch up on my investment and financial planning—having Farnoosh as a partner on my money journey makes me feel empowered to drive my own destiny. I love the diversity of guests Farnoosh brings on the show and her honest discussion of all the incredible challenges individuals and society are facing. Thanks for the real talk and really smart episodes!

So Money is So Good
I started listening to So Money about six months ago. I enjoy many personal finance podcasts. I appreciate how many of Farnoosh’s topics and guests come from under represented groups in the financial space. I’m very interested in financial independence and also teaching those values to the next generation. I strive to raise my 9 year old daughter to eventually become a financially savvy adult and So Money has given me ideas and motivation along this journey.

The Best Money Podcast You’ll Want To Listen To All The Time
Farnoosh is an incredible journalist and leader in the financial space for women! I love that she puts topics that primarily affect women into the spotlight. As a 28 year old women, I love learning from a woman in her 40s about what she’s learned and things she would have know in her career like what mother’s vs father’s in the workforce for example. Faithful 5-Year Fan!
I have had the pleasure of listening to Farnoosh and So Money since 2017. Over these 5 years, I think Farnoosh has done an excellent job curating and adapting her personal finance podcast’s themes and episodes to the issues of our time. So Money was initially recommended to me by a savvy friend, and in turn I’ve recommend it to friends and family looking for advice on investing, saving for college, entrepreneurship, and (the ever elusive) work-life balance. Keep up the great work Farnoosh, and Aloha from Maui, Hawai'i!

An absolute MUST
I stumbled across this podcast and have been hooked ever since. I never ever thought about investing or anything beyond just having enough money to get by because it seemed too overwhelming. Farnoosh breaks down financial topics in a digestible and fun way and has helped me get my financial life on track. In doing so, I’ve felt more confident about my future and that I’m secure and ready for any curveball. She also does a great job bringing in diverse voices and always has takeaways you can easily implement. If you haven’t listened, it is a must and your future self will thank you.

Gave it a shot, but subtle advertising plugs… not cool
Wanted to give this show a shot but the very first episode I listened to, she was pushing Reels (Meta) over TikTok… seriously, don’t do that if you’re setting false pretenses that you’re giving out objective data/facts regarding peoples finances. Call an ad, an ad- don’t try to just slide it in there like anyone actually cares between the two time voids. Smh, unsubscribed.

Lack of Independence
Unfortunately, in 2022 Farnoosh has become just another shill for the financial services industry with episodes that resemble informercials for Prudential and whomever is paying CNET for her time. Listen for the interviews of interesting people but ignore any personal financial advice. She has stopped caring about educating herself or others outside of pandering to the people who pay her and CNET.

Game changer in finance education for ALL people
I had never gotten into financial improvement/education because honestly, I couldn’t stand rich white men telling me what I should do with my money (without considering all the intersectionality and nuances of my and others’ lives!) Farnoosh changed that for me. She brings inclusive and nonjudgmental perspectives. She is super knowledgeable— I filed my taxes this year and knew so much more of the terminology they asked about. AND I went from saving nothing each month to saving $1,000 consistently. Thank you for holding me accountable and educating me without shame, judgment, or ignorance. Love this podcast!

You are better than your guests!
I think you have an engaging, down to earth personality that regular people can relate to. I love your take on things and your advice. Some of your guests are the worst I have to say unfortunately. Most recently the one who wrote Fair Play. She truly sounds so fake and even when you gave a shoutout to teachers she had to steal that away for herself, as if everyone is a teacher. It’s ok to give credit to an actual profession. I find her tone condescending and seriously she is not giving any concrete advice at all. Please choose guests that are more with your vibe and offer actual, concrete tips. Or just talk to us yourself! Best of luck to you!! A frequent listener while on the elliptical…

A podcast by someone who knows her stuff and genuinely cares about her audience
Love this podcast, Farnoosh 😃 It dawned on me recently that I listen to personal development for all major areas of my life - except money. When I first started listening, I wasn’t sure I was the right ideal listener. Some of the focus is around 401ks, Roth IRAs, retirement, saving for a home/family, etc….but I’m an artist who doesn’t have those things and doesn’t want a family 😂 Despite this - several episodes do focus on us creatives! And even when they don’t - I feel smarter for learning from people who have incomes that I strive to get to myself. Most importantly - Farnoosh genuinely cares about us. She’s a joy to listen to and just as fun to connect with on IG! Thanks for helping us Farnoosh. I hope more people continue to find this podcast ❤️

Love the content, authenticity and recommendations for spending and investing to racial equity
I love everything about Farnoosh and So Money! I love Farnoosh’s authenticity and transparency. I love how she offers small and big money moves in support of racial equity and reducing the racial wealth gaps. I love how Farnoosh talks about her own money priorities, such as looking to purchase flood insurance. As a money-minded, professional woman in my mid-40s with two children in the NYC metro area, I identify with Farnoosh on so many levels. Farnoosh has changed my life!
I’m the youngest of 2 (now grown women!) who were taught the financial “basics” growing up - but when I graduated college I realized I didn’t even know the difference between a 401k and 403b! Wakin’ up with coffee and So Money
Hi Farnoosh! I’m a fairly new listener and just want to start by saying thank you for all that you chat about here. I truly look forward to your podcasts, they’ve become part of my morning routine coffee!! I’m a 26 year old adult child living at home with my parents, and the 9/29/21 episode on the 80/80 relationship really resonated with me. Though I’m not in a relationship, I used this model to look at the relationship I have with my parents. SO often there are arguments about chores and responsibilities and it was eye-opening to think about who out of the 3 of us really enjoys some of the things that need to get done around the house. So far it’s resolved some issues and I’m truly grateful! :)

Thanks from a fellow Gen Xer!
Thank you, Farnoosh, for your generosity in sharing all that you do in the podcast. Your thoughtful approach to answering questions from listeners, the stories you share about your own life, your detailed interviews of your guests, and of course, the financial education you provide, are all things that I’ve benefitted from and enjoyed for several years now. In combination with action, reading, and your podcast, my financial life has morphed from one of a negative net worth and a feeling of hopelessness to get out of debt to one of wealth building and hope for generational wealth for my children. I’m leaving this coming May a career of 20 years (one for which I earned a doctorate) that got me nowhere near my goals financially to continue working full time in my now side hustle. This side hustle is a business that made me more than my full time career in just the first three quarters of 2021! I paid off my student loan in August that I’d been carrying since I was 19 with this side hustle income! As a Gen Xer, I feel that we are overlooked in many discussions about money, but we are the ones who need attention! Thank you for everything! I love the pod!

Amazing Podcast that Provides Financial Literacy for Women
I started listening to Farnoosh’s So Money last year and it has really helped me get a grasp on my financial journey. Perfect for Gen-Xers aiming for financial stability
Congratulations on your new role at CNET and thank you, Farnoosh! I first found your podcast during the COVID shut down and have learned so much this year. Growing up, most of my family members gambled (I do not), and my father owns an all-cash bar and grill. Suffice to say, what I learned growing up was how not to handle money (other than the advice to save 10% of your income, which we know is not enough). As you can guess, teaching one’s self good money habits is hard (but worth it). Your show has helped so much! From Tiffany Aliche (whose book Get Good with Money is helping me tend to my financial blind spots) to the relationship advisor from Germany who highlights the importance of a “spirit of generosity” to the professor who discussed reverse engineering your career (their names are escaping me now), you have a mix of subjects that keep financial discussions fresh, positive and forward thinking. Thanks for all of the wisdom and insights that you share. “I hope your day is SO MONEY!” Cheri

Can’t say enough about So Money and Faroosh
I started listening to Farnoosh in April 2020 as my walking buddy during the pandemic. So Money has yet to disappoint. I’ve gone back and listened to many of the past episodes and they still ring true and relevant. Most recently, Farnoosh’s interview with Mercii Thomas on understanding financial abuse really struck home for me. It wasn’t until I listened to that episode that I was finally able to verbalize what occurred to me in a previous relationship in terms of it actually being financial abuse. Knowing there is a podcaster addressing topics from crypto currency to investing to managing finances as a couple just makes me want to listen more. Please keep the incredible content coming!

She provides actionable advice for pretty much anyone - strategies to pay down debt, negotiate a raise, invest and save for the future, plan for big purchases. It’s been really rewarding to build my financial knowledge and exercise more power and choice in my life.

I love listening to new episodes from So Money! I just recently realized that the “Black Wealth Matters” episodes from 2020 were a separate podcast series on the Podcast app. This entire time I thought they were included within the actual So Money collection. Glad I found them. Thanks for the conversation!

Enjoyable
I started listening to Farnoosh in early 2021. It has been great to listen to her guests and financial advice during the past 6 months. I have read a number of books from her guests and they have increased my knowledge of the finance world. Her advice is individual and I like her take on crypto. The finance world needs more people like Farnoosh that moves away from the shame game and encourages people to create actionable steps towards financial independence.

So Obsessed
I've been listening to this show for a few years now, and I recommend it to everyone! I am obsessed! As a self-employed new mom, with a difficult money story growing up, I often feel paralyzed about all of my goals and choices, but implementing new financial strategies and taking baby steps as I become more literate is so rewarding. Thanks Farnoosh, for taking the overwhelm and icky out of financial advice. <3

Crypto cringe
I love So Money and listen to Farnoosh almost every episode. Farnoosh breaks down finance into easily digestible nuggets. However, the first episode of Crypto Week was a cringe fest. Maybe the guests were experts in their field but it did not come across this way at all. It is incredibly difficult to expose people to crypto in a meaningful way in 30 minutes and when you add in disinformation or bad information, you are doing a disservice to your listeners. The show is typically 5 stars but I am not hopeful for the rest of the week.

Accessible, non-judgemental money advice
I am so glad I found this podcast- Farnoosh understands that money advice doesn’t have to be one size fits all. Some more “old school” money people repeat the same tired shaming advice over and over, but Farnoosh customizes her advice to each person and truly educates people on their options. I have learned so much from Farnoosh, and she has helped me be more mindful about money and debt- while giving me permission to enjoy things without guilt. Thanks!

From overwhelmed to in control & inspiring others
This podcast has been pivotal in my financial literacy journey, I have tripled my net worth since getting divorced 2 years ago thanks to Farnoosh & her helpful, direct & digestible tips. I went from being overwhelmed at the thought of finances to now in control of my plans to reach financial freedom and I recently changed jobs to one that I love in fintech where I build products to help others demystify finance to help springboard their journeys to financial literacy. I’m especially proud to help customers that are single moms and recent immigrants to this country build generational wealth! Thanks for helping turn me into a financial education addict :)

So money is so helpful
Really love the perspective given in this podcast as a woman of color. I think it’s so important to become financially independent since a lot of us weren’t taught some of these fundamentals in school or even at home. Farnoosh does a phenomenal job of keeping the topics interesting and shares lots of angles within finance. Really love all the advice!

Fantastic! Helped fill in my personal finance knowlege gaps
I discovered the So Money podcast about 3 years ago and it’s been an amazing learning experience. I come from a background where my parents instilled good values of saving money and being frugal, but knew little about investing. This podcast was a great way for me to fill the gaps and learn so much about investing through 401K and Roth IRAs, and about so many other topics like mortgages and debt. It’s motivated me to increase my annual investing contributions so that now I’m on track to have a better financial future. I love the Q&A episodes and feel like there’s always something new to learn from other listener questions. Farnoosh is very experienced in the personal finance world and is thoughtful in her responses. There are so many diverse and interesting guests to learn from in her interviews as well. I am so glad to have found this podcast and will continue to listen to this podcast every week!

Farnoosh is a wise, supportive money mentor
I've been listening to Farnoosh for the better part of a decade, and as her podcast has grown, I definitely have too. Even though she is only a couple years older than me, I look at her as a wise financial focused Aunt I never had. She also has the media history and resume to give her advice authority. Through her kaleidoscope of guests with diverse viewpoints, backgrounds, races, genders, etc, So Money is a podcast for listeners of any generation to learn about money. She touches on current money trends as well as evergreen personal finance topics. Her 20-30 min episodes are perfect to throw on while I am exercising, so by the end, both my body and my mind are in better shape. She is an amazing interviewer, and the Friday "Ask Farnoosh" episodes are my favorite, because if she isn't sure she says so (such as crypto)... and then brings on an expert in that topic to explain in the coming weeks!

What Have I Been Doing With My Life?
I can not emphasize how much has changed for me since beginning to listen to Farnoosh! I am a 28 year old teacher walking around thinking that I am the only person who loves spending time balancing my budget. I have found my people through this podcast! Not only have I learned so much from the advice Farnoosh has given, but I have been lead to other great people who have help inspire me to want more! I have been a teacher for 6 years, but after listening to So Money for just a month or two, I am thinking of starting a business. Something I would have never said 6 months ago!! I’m also hoping Farnoosh could talk a little bit about saving for retirement when it comes to a pension. Am I set or should I pretend I don’t have any retirement at all? THANK YOU FARNOOSH!

Leading the Pack
While the impact of COVID threw me, like all of us, for a loop, it became the start of my personal financial-recovery journey. From eliminating all credit card debt to beginning an investment strategy, my time has been thankfully filled with the knowledge, experience and podcasts of primarily women in the personal finance space, and Farnoosh has been leader of the pack. She’s not afraid to go there, speak up and say the things left unsaid and unknown, and the care she puts into her work will leave you nothing short of inspired to do the same for yourself and your own circle. Thanks, Farnoosh!

Trying to get my life back after the pandemic job losses caused me
My name is Twannetta and I am so happy to be here and able to drop this review for Farnoosh. When I tell you she’s been more like the big sister I never had, I mean it. My job was eliminated at the beginning of the pandemic, I’ll never forget that terrible day, it’s probably etched in my heart forever. However, Farnoosh to the rescue! I found her podcast and it was the only other company that I kept during my long walks trying to sort out my plan of attack to find a job, stop the financial bleeding and somehow stay positive through it all while the world around me was falling apart. Her easy to follow advice, powerful guests and her easy going vibe truly helped me to get through those early dark days. I can’t thank you enough for your advocacy for women of color ( that’s me) and all that you do. So sorry for the long review, I actually have so much more to say but won’t take up all of your time. Thank you so much for all you do!

Finding the confidence to take charge of my financial future
I graduated from college in May 2020 with a substantial amount of private student debt, no experience with budgeting, and no plan for my financial future. Money was a stressful topic in my household growing up, and I didn't feel like I could talk to anyone in my life about the immense anxiety I felt when it came to personal finance. When I found So Money, it was the first time I was able to think about my finances without getting overwhelmed. Thanks to Farnoosh’s clear and accessible approach to explaining personal finance topics, I have found the confidence to take charge of my financial future. I am proud to say that in the past year, I have a fully-funded emergency fund, have refinanced my student loans (am now paying $300 less each month), am meeting my employer’s match on my 401(k), have maxed out my HSA, and have a brokerage account that I regularly contribute to twice a month. A year ago, I wouldn’t have been able to tell you what any of that meant! Now, because I’ve seen how much I can accomplish in just a year, I ENJOY setting and meeting financial goals because it makes me feel so empowered. Thank you so, so much Farnoosh for helping me get started with my journey - looking forward to more episodes and to continued growth!

Helping a young widow out
I have been listening to this podcast for a month a half now. I am 36, my husband died almost a year ago, at 38 years old. After his death, I was entitled to his life insurance and 401k. I started listening to Farnoosh because I want to make sure that I am being EXTREMELY smart with this money. My husband was all about into saving for a house and our retirement. Now, I need to do that for myself. Thank you for this podcast! Any advice into what is the best way to use this money?

Life changer
I started listening to SoMoney about three years ago on my runs to keep me motivated. Pretty soon though, this podcast became a very important part of my routine and sometimes I’d look forward to the weekend to be over so I could get back to learning finance with Farnoosh! I credit this podcast for helping me go from $20k in debt to now having a 401k with $20k in it and (despite moving twice in the last three years!) be able to maintain an emergency float. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for finally helping me discover the path to financial freedom!

Excited to Continue my Financial Journal
Thank you Farnoosh! I feel like I’ve heard every Ask Farnoosh in the past 3+ years. Following graduation from graduate school in May, I will be starting my first full time job in my career field. I’m excited to start applying all of the knowledge I’ve learn these past few years (401k, vacation fund, savings, etc) that I was unable to apply during school. While I don’t agree with everything she says, Farnoosh provides a positive and female voice in the financial world that must be heard.

I NEEDED that last episode
I’ve been listening to So Money on and off for 2 years. I’ve always gained some valuable pearls from each episode I’ve heard, but the most recent episode - “Think like a breadwinner” - really hit home. After 12 years together with my husband (including our time dating), I will be making more than him in just a few months. How to allocate the money, and also feeling the imposter syndrome has been weighing on me, and this episode made me 1) enforce that I’m not alone in those feelings (even though I knew that intuitively), and 2) realize I need to make a plan on how I imagine the next few years to look with the sudden jump in salary. Thank you Farnoosh a and Jennifer!

Favorite podcast for walks
Farnoosh and I have walked more miles together than I can count since the beginning of Covid. This podcast has been inspiring, educational, and helped me understand more about my financial picture. I originally starting listening as a way to stay motivated while juggling paying student loans and contributing to retirement. However, this podcast recently inspired me to open up a 529 plan for my nephew (when he is born in June). I’ve even convinced my parents that we should do this instead of presents. My brother and I have significant student loan debt, and this would be the ultimate way to set up our next generation. Thank you Farnoosh for helping me start powerful financial conversations!

Like a cool rich aunt with great advice that I never had
When I graduated college someone gave me the book “Millionaire Teacher” which made me realize I knew nothing about personal finance or finance in general. I was an engineering major but had no concept of the stock market, investing or anything. Much less what to do with my student loans or why a credit score even mattered. Growing up poor and a first generation college student, I have always been a frugal saver but never knew that there were ways to make money work for you. Farnoosh has since taught me all of that. Seriously she covers every topic under the sun. I am truly grateful for her work and recommend her podcast to all my friends and family.

This will change the way you think about handeling your money!
I finally got around to writing a review - as I've been listening for over a year. I love Farnoosh's podcast! So glad I found her! I have read so many books, articles, etc... on ways to manage money. However, nothing clicked until I listened to So Money. As a female, it's so refreshing to hear a woman talk about money in an empowering way. -Yet not in a preachy, judgemental way. I used to be pretty frivolous with money. But since listening to this podcast I have saved more than I ever have! And I haven't felt like I've "scrimped" on my life. -Just made wiser decisions & put more thought into the way I use my money. My husband has even changed over to Farnoosh from another financial podcaster. So thank you, Farnoosh for giving us podcasts to look forward to each week. You make money talk enjoyable!

A more balanced voice in this space
I love Farnoosh’s personality and the way she communicates. I don’t always agree with her opinions and strategies, but often I do and for those times I don’t it’s still great to hear. There are lots of other Financial podcasts that are just so much fluff echoing some article they read, SoMoney is thoughtful and balanced and really the only solo-cast show I like to listen too when she isn’t having a great conversation with a guest.

Calm, educated, strong voice in the money arena
What a gem. After listening to the podcast I feel empowered and confident. What more could you ask for? Money can be so confusing and broad, and Farnoosh breaks it down so it is easily understood and actionable. It is well- researched and the various guests provide different perspectives to look at money in a new ways. I love all the diverse perspectives and wealth of knowledge that is shared. I loved the episodes with Ramit Sethi and Erin Lowery. I’m a new listener and will keep listening for a long time. And thank you for the recent D*ve R*msey perspective, it gave a voice to some issues I have had with his advice. It goes to show how important it is to find mentors with whom you personally resonate, there are all kinds out there and it is not one size fits all. Thank you!

There isn’t just one plan
I love So Money. Since I started listening I have become more confident about my family’s finances, which are not perfect but that’s okay, we are making progress and trying to figure out our financial goals. I listed to Dave Ramsey for a while and I always finished that podcast feeling like a failure because my husband and I were not following his plan. Less than a year ago I found So Money and Afford Anything and I love these women and their financial advice. We have three kids under 9, my husband and I both work, and this past year has been the most difficult year of my life trying to balance it all. I feel like Farnoosh gets that. She gives practical financial advice and is so relatable. I love personal finance podcasts and this is currently my favorite one!

I’ve been a fan of this podcast for a few years now, so sorry Farnoosh, this review is overdue! I most appreciate the diversity of both Farnoosh and her guests, and she does a wonderful job of highlighting the guests and their expertise. As a Filipino American millennial woman, I value hearing life and financial advice from a wide range of backgrounds. My favorite recent episodes have been 1146 with Sam and Amy, 1147 with Ramit Sethi and 1161 with Stef Ziev. Love Farnoosh! Great general money advice!
I love So Money but mostly I love Farnoosh 💕✨She feels like a friend. I love her non-intimidating approach. She gives all around great big-picture advice. Two things that this podcast will not teach you about is about taxes and passive income. If you need in depth advice on tax strategies this is not going to help. And if you want to know about passive make money-in-my-sleep income, this is not the place. One listener asked about passive income and Farnoosh started going on about side hustles 🤦🏻♀️. Not the same thing! Farnoosh is totally up front about not being a savvy real estate investor although she has investment property. I recommend Bigger Pockets podcast for great real estate info. But if you need some place to start, you need to budget, you need to save for retirement, you need to pay off loans, Farnoosh will show you that you can! Big things are possible.✨ ALSO, cannot praise Farnoosh highly enough for the Black Wealth Matters series🙌🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Much needed! I appreciate that when the whole world was falling apart she didn’t just stick to the side, she did something! Love Farnoosh!

The advice I’ve been looking for!
I’ve been listening to So Money for a few months and have to say this is the best advice I’ve ever received in my life. Although I consider myself to be fairly knowledgeable about personal finance, the way Farnoosh provides advice without judgement makes me feel so confident. Very eye opening
I found this podcast yesterday and I am already so thankful. A lot of the financial podcasts put me to sleep so I have always struggled trying to find one I enjoy. I came from a poor background and always thought I was set to struggle. I have been learning different ways I can become more financially stable after listening to the shows my entire ten hour shift yesterday. I have never understood my 401k and she really broke that down in one of the episodes. The variety of topics she touches on is refreshing as well. She doesn’t sound like she’s preaching at me more enlightening me and kindly teaching me. I turned it back on as soon as I got to work this morning and can’t wait to catch up on all of the available episodes.

Farnoosh knows! Yaaasss!
Almost two years ago, I began listening to So Money after yearning for financial advise from someone who truly knew what they were talking about. I stumbled upon So Money while searching for a financial podcast, pushed play, and began running while pushing my 8 month old in his stroller. Before I knew it, I had ran 5 miles and put a dent in the episodes of So Money! Since then I have learned a tremendous amount of knowledge regarding money/finances that has guided me in making smarter decisions when managing my own money. I have even surprised my husband (who knows so much about money, investing, etc,.) and friends with the knowledge I’ve been able to provide them with— all because of Farnoosh and the many resources she’s provided. It truly has made all the difference in gaining more control of my money and how I am setting myself up for financial empowerment and success! I also really appreciate that the many guests Farnoosh choses to feature on her podcast are of diverse backgrounds, ethnicities, and beliefs. She really locked me in for life when she incorporated the “Black Lives Matter” series. So, thank you Farnoosh for all that you’re doing for this community!

Excellent financial podcast
I have been binge listening to the So Money podcast for the last six months and have finally caught up. There is such a great abundance of content. As a man, I find it very enlightening to hear a female perspective on a lot of different topics related to finance. Farnoosh has a very real way of connecting to her audience. It has been refreshing to hear someone who doesn’t just preach about money but rather is helping us find the answers along the way just as she is doing. As a parent of young kids, I found her discussions on home school, working from home and her decision to move out of the city to be very relevant. Thanks for producing such great content.

Something for everyone
What I really admire about Farnoosh and her podcast is how inclusive she is. There are so many stories and backgrounds that I can actually relate to. I don’t feel that my situation is excluded & that to me is an unprecedented quality. I even heard her on the She Makes Money Moves podcast just recently and that made me trust Farnoosh truly that caters to all walks of life. Helpful tips for money management
Money is not something people like to talk about with friends and relatives, and it’s hard for young people who didn’t grow up with a money mentor to figure out how money works. But Farnoosh does a great job helping people with their difficult money questions, giving them a piece of mind. I like to listen to the Friday episodes, where Farnoosh answers listeners’ questions. Sometimes I try to figure out myself what I would do in those situations. The show also serves as a weekly reminder to check my finances, revisit my investments, even just check-in mentally, “am I ok, or do I need a money date with myself”. I also get a lot of value on topics around rules for investments, fees and retirement account, and taxes. It’s useful for immigrants like me. Now I recommend this podcast to everyone I know, and I often share relevant episodes with my friends.

Fluff, no substance
I just listened to the episode about asking for a raise with Alexandra Carter. I was looking forward to learning some real takeaways that I could put into action but all I got was more hokey mindset that you can find anywhere on the internet and the author congratulating herself. Would’ve been great for the host to press the author more for a few tips that listeners could put into practice and probably would’ve made me more inclined to buy the author’s book. This pod was a waste of my time and doesn’t make me want to listen to any other episodes.

Gold mine of financial advice to tap based on your current needs!
I am a single-mom juggling a full time career and 4 year old twins so financial security is critical for me. Farnoosh covers so many different topics and has such depth of content that I am able to tailor my podcast listening based on what I need to know right now. With Farnoosh’s help I am on an amazing journey to financial empowerment : I review the list of episodes, listen, even make notes and then tackle that area of my financial life, be it paying down debt, planning for retirement, making real estate investments or day to day budgeting. Thank you Farnoosh for helping me on my way to a brighter financial future!

Always learning something new
This is one of my favorite podcasts. Even when I think I’m knowledgeable about the subject, Farnoosh always has something new to share. Her interviews with guests are always informative, and I’ve used the information I’ve learned on the show to get serious about my financial security. No matter your age or level of financial expertise, this is a show for you if you’re serious about money and your future.

The Undoing
Farnoosh and the So Money Podcast has been a staple in my weekly podcast listening schedule for at least a year. Her insights and forward thinking has challenged my financial planning and improved my overall portfolio. Every week, I obtain nuggets that contribute to my overall net worth, which means I’m one step closer to financial independence. I love how she walks through her thinking process, especially on Ask Farnoosh Friday’s. In lieu of answering the question, she carefully walks through the reasoning behind her responses, which helps the listener develop a similar process when making future financial decisions. As I write this note, my family and I are watching The Undoing, which was based on Farnoosh’s recommendation. Everyone is glued to the tv as we are almost finished with the limited series in one seating (a first for the family). I find the title, ‘The Undoing,’ applicable to the So Money podcast because not following the recommendations of Farnoosh’s podcast for the past year would have left a year of not being able to “undo” the mistakes that I would have made without Farnoosh. Thanks Farnoosh for all you do for the So Money community! Bryan

Farnoosh’s financial tapestry
Farnoosh weaves warmth, financial expertise, and personal experience into her interviews with financial experts, authors, speakers and celebrities. I relate to her perspective as a woman and mother. Her gift is her ability to highlight that managing money is not done in a vacuum. Money has psychological, emotional, life planning, and mathematical “number-crunching” components to it too. She creates a dialogue around money that helps the whole person

I don’t know where I’d be without this podcast
First off: I knew 0 about anything money related before this podcast. I saw it in a magazine and said why not listen? I’ve been listening to So Money for four years now and through a diverse roster of excellent guests and Farnoosh’s insights I’ve started to build a financially secure life that motivates me and drives me to better myself in tandem with the communities around me. As a woman in my late 20s-early 30s I’ve been unlearning the crap we’re told about money and that’s been crazy empowering. Farnoosh is my girl power guardian angel. The negotiation advice alone has helped me earn more and recognize my value. 💪🏻🙌🏻

Engaging financial content for everyone!!
I’m 22, just graduated, moved out, started my full time job and have spent the past few months advancing my financial education. A lot of Farnoosh’s content is targeted towards women older than me but I have still learned so much. I recently went on a road trip with my parents and older brother, and we listened to So Money the whole time (~24 hours in the car). I have converted all four of us to huge fans-we love her engaging content and interview style! I loved her interview with Arian Simone and recap of negotiating your speaker fee.

It’s my 4 year So Money listening Anniversary!
I started listening to So Money exactly four years ago. It was about a week after the election and I was terrified, angry, and completely shocked. I had spent the past few days cancelling all of my media subscriptions and swearing off the news. On that day I had somehow turned a corner and vowed that I would find a way to make something positive out of the next four years. I was so lucky to have stumbled on So Money. Farnoosh was the calm in my storm for the next four years, and with her positive yet real world approach and her actionable advice, she not only got me through but helped me to double my net worth. Forever grateful. -Barbara S (New York)

The podcast is very encouraging in providing advice/resources to make our money work for us, which is the goal. Thanks to this podcast, I’ve discovered resources such as Next Advisor, XY Financial Planning, and heard about the FIRE movement to help me on my financial journey. Thank you Farnoosh 👏

This Show Changed My Life
This review is five years overdue. I found this show late, but I caught up and have listened to every episode. I don't think there is one greater influence in my financial life than this show. This podcast helped me turn my financial life around. In addition, this podcast prompted a career pivot: After hearing the interview with Reeta Wolfsohn, I received my Financial Social Work Certification, and now I help others on their journey! I would love to co-host the Friday “Ask Farnoosh” show with you someday. As a listener, I feel I've gained so much knowledge and your interviews have helped me discover other podcasts that have contributed to my financial success as well. The feeling of going to bed without financial worry is absolutely priceless. If I never get a chance to speak with you, I just want to know how much you and your show have meant to me. Thank you.

This review is long overdue! If you're looking for an amazing personal finance podcast, look no further than So Money. My husband and I have been fans since we first discovered the podcast in 2016. Farnoosh always has great guests, is an amazing interviewer, and her Ask Farnoosh episodes on Fridays are relevant and engaging. We also really appreciate her commitment to diversity, both in terms of her guests and content. Whether you're a personal finance pro, or just beginning to explore the topic, you'll appreciate Farnoosh and her direct way of communicating with her audience. We owe you so much, Farnoosh! Meh. Not generalizable to all audiences
I started listening to Farnoosh a few months ago, and I was initially very interested in the content for personal finance. To her credit, she’s an engaging host and occasional discusses personal finance which is helpful. However, in my view the audience is really targeted towards a soccer mom audience, if you pardon the expression. It appears to be to be a lifestyle podcast over a personal finance podcast. However, there are other demographics there are frequent content that is generally not relatable. I don’t dislike it per se, again Fornoosh is an engaging, smart and well-informed, however I would listen as my back-of-the wallet podcast and it wouldn’t be my go-to for personal finance simply because it’s not as discussed as regularly on the show.

Kara Goldin episode
I gave this 5 stars because I think Farnoosh does an amazing job interviewing people and having diverse guests on. However, Ms. Goldin was merely an advertisement for her water and her ego. She wouldn’t stop with her personal accolades. What could have been inspiring was instead grating and not one of the better interviews. Suffice it so say I will not be buying her infused water or her book, and I look forward to an interview with a strong female who doesn’t strong arm her host. 1 star for this one.

A must start!
Due to the pandemic we lost our apartment and my spouse was furloughed and the route to work went from five min to 45 one way. I knew I needed to do something with this extra time that also helped me in my current financial situation, so I starting flipping through podcasts. So money was recommended to me from a quick google search and has changed my life. I listen to every new podcast and then on the way home I go to an older one to catch up on other topics. I’ve been loyally listening for over a month and now due to it I have also been able to find other podcasts and books and people to follow and it has elevated my finance knowledge so much! This podcast has changed my life, informed me, gave me tips that I can share with family and friends and coworkers and puts me in a perfect frame of mind for work. It’s a must have every morning and afternoon for those commutes and if I didn’t have a commute I’d listen to it in the morning while getting ready!

Farnoosh has changed that for me and lots of women around me. By listening to her money advice and her guests I learn more an more about money and I let my friends also know about some of her tips and advise too.If you don’t know much about money this is a nonjudgmental environment that you can learn and thrive. I specially like the sections Ask Farnoosh , since most of the questions I have also get answered . I wanted to say thank Farnoosh to empowering us, mainly women to learn about money and getting better at managing it.

Good Intentions But...
Debt is the number one thing you should NEVER USE. Under any circumstance. The very first episode I listen too talks about getting a Heloc so you can “use” your homes equity. This is just adding risk to your financial picture not to mention feeding the deserve now mentality that a lot of us struggle with. Be careful with who you learn from on money. Most of them always think debt is beneficial.

This podcast has become a vital part of my week for at least the last year. Farnoosh and the amazing guests that she has on share such impactful, life-changing insight on everything from managing personal finance, navigating the volatile economy, real estate, investing in the stock market, dealing with workplace bias, and so much more. I was made aware of her from the investing app ‘Acorns’ where she debunked common investing myths and ever since that I’ve been a fan. Shared her episodes with countless friends and family which I know has had a tremendous positive effect on how they see the world around them. Thoroughly enjoyed the Black Wealth Matter series. Quality Financial Podcast!
The same guests on Farnoosh Torabi’s podcasts don’t deliver the same quality message on other shows. That’s because Farnoosh knows how to interview, draw out relevant money stories and knowledge and bring in her own perspective into these conversations. I also love the Ask Farnoosh questions from her vast listener base. They are often relevant, nuanced situations about life and money we can all relate to.

A million stars
I am a Latina entrepreneur living in Miami with my husband and two teens. I have listened to most of your podcasts, and I love how empathic you are with your guests and your followers, understanding each moment that we are going through as a society. I've found "Black Wealth Matters" series very educational, since I am studying systemic racism with a group now, and trying to be conscious about how micro acts or words could make us just appear as 'nice', but we are not necessarily being 'anti racist', and the information you provided, was beyond valuable. Money is not an easy thing for women, from where I come.. but you are helping me grow in that field with your sensitive insights. I work in the television field, my company is a distributor of films and projects for audiovisual platforms, and right now with the COVID situation, it is very difficult to close a deal, but your guests entrepreneurs, have been a source of inspiration. I also loved that you shared something about your kid and new house.. makes me feel closer to Farnoosh as a human, mother and woman. A million stars to you, and a big big THANK YOU and CONGRATULATIONS on such great content at So Money. Valeria

I love this podcast! I recently graduated college, and with a new job and lots of chaos going on in the world, I naturally felt I needed to know more about personal finance. As a finance major in college, I already enjoyed the subject matter and had a background, which is why Farnoosh’s podcast was all the better when it came to not only learning how to tailor personal finance to me but also to hear some advice from her own experience and her readers’. Would love a series on Native American Wealth
I enjoyed the Black Wealth Matters series. Great guests and much needed insights as we are (finally) having a cultural reckoning. Because the U.S. is a country built on stolen land (from Native Americans/First Nations) by people stolen from their lands (enslaved people from Africa), it would be powerful to have a sister series to Black Wealth Matters and share stories of successful Native Americans, their strategies, and issues affecting their communities. Thank you for amplifying these voices.

Episode 1060
Episode 1060 was extremely difficult to tolerate listening to the end. Full of false facts and stats with no explanation. Home insurance rates are based on a complex formula based on past losses from similar properties and forecasted cost of claims from a partial area, race of a neighbor isn’t a factor. And I highly doubt so many home assessors are racist enough to though off property values without a more logical reason than a photo of a black person was in the house. A house next door to my girlfriend’s old apartment a two apartment duplex sold a little over a year ago today for $198,000 and now her former landlord listed his duplex for $299,000 and will likely receive that or more. Market has continued to go up and this property is a little nicer than the one next door, but the other place is still nice as well. May shock this lady, but both owners are white. I question if this lady believes that anyone is not a racist. And I question if half of her stories are true. Either way by definition this lady is a racist and should take some time for some self reflection on what she is saying. After being a long time listener and supporter of the Black Wealth Matters series I’m highly disappointed Farnoosh would air this interview. I’ve loved every episode up till this one. But in today’s day in age she would be called a racist if she didn’t air this.

disappointed in your direction
I’ve listened to your show for a couple years. I enjoyed the financial content, the questions asked, and the drive to better one’s financial situation. My unsubscribe is resulting from the politicization of the podcast. I received Farnoosh’s most recent email providing one-sided resources to bail out protesters and a hotline to report police brutality while not mentioning anything about supporting the police force that for the most part does an amazing job protecting their communities. I expect an honest representation from Farnoosh given her position as a public figure concerning personal finance. For every negative encounter with a police officer there are many more positive encounters. That’s how it is in every trade and industry. There are bad people everywhere. I support the diversity you promote on your show but bailing out protesters? It’s rioters and looters who are jailed and not peaceful protesters. For an example of a personal finance podcast that does a beautiful job of keeping politics from becoming the main theme, check out Stacking Benjamin’s. Politics are an inherent part of our life but if that’s the direction the podcast is going in, you have lost this listener and I’m sure many others. I would be more than happy to chat with you if you decide to read my review on your show.

Such inspiration!
I listen to this podcast on my morning walks and absolutely love it! It’s a great way to start my day being educated and inspired to take control of my personal finance. I’m 27 years old with no financial knowledge, yet find this podcast easy to follow. Farnoosh guides interviews in ways that optimizes information but also brings messages home so listeners can relate. She really thinks about what her listeners want to learn and chooses guests accordingly. Highly recommend for not only beginners but advanced financial people as well.

Important
Thank you Farnoosh for this podcast. I’m a woman in her early 20’s who feels underpaid and undervalued. This podcast gives me hopes that I will accomplish more and one day be paid fairly for my work and effort. Farnoosh interviews successful people that share their story and relationship to money. Farnoosh is a skilled interviewer and offers resources and knowledge about finances, real estate and career development. Every podcast is different and offers a different perspective. I highly recommend listening to this podcast. It is one of my favorites.

I was hoping for something much more..
I think the recent real estate shows are indicitive of the whole. Instead of economists or real estate experts, what we got were agents who not only have a vested interest in painting a certain picure, they were interested in selling themselves and their own projects. I learned nothing about national trends, possible pitfalls of the markets due to loss of work on such a large scale or the interesting ballance going on between low lending rates ballanced by the need to have a very high credit score to get them. It was all fluff.

This is a must-listen to podcast during COVID
I am a huge fan of the So Money podcast. I was on a downward spiral during the quarantine, but I found So Money around the end of April. I’ve already listened to about 40 episodes and my fiancé and I are now taking an active role with our finances. We have secure jobs during COVID, so we’re in the process of eliminating $34,000 in credit card/student loan debt and will achieve our goal by September 2020 thanks to everything I’ve learned on So Money! Next up is a one year emergency fund, maxing out 401Ks, and saving for a 20% down payment for a home! Thank you, Farnoosh, and keep the great content coming. I’m learning so much from you and your guests.

Farnoosh is a bada$$
I first heard Farnoosh as a guest on another podcast - a financial independence podcast hosted by middle-aged white guys. Then I realized that most of the finance podcasts in my feed are hosted by middle-aged white guys, whose wives are mostly stay-at-home moms. Of course I can learn from anyone, but wow - I am so glad to add Farnoosh’s voice to my daily podcast feed! She brings a fabulous perspective as a woman working hard for her career and her family, with a relatable yet aspirational story. She hosts guests on a variety of financial topics, asks them great questions, and I learn so much. Thanks, Farnoosh!

$$$ Information and inspiration for everyone of any age
I’m a millennial woman in my mid 20s but I learn so much from Farnoosh that I call and tell my parents about it. There is a ton of great information and inspiration for every demographic in this podcast. Farnoosh Friday’s are my absolute favorite, but Farnoosh always has incredible guests. My favorite (and I’ve listened to Farnoosh since 2018) being this past Thursdays guest on the future of college with the NYU stern professor. Everyone keeps it real and there’s no hidden science behind getting control of your money. I graduated 4 years ago with 100K of student loan debt, but have carved my game plan out of here with the inspiration from my favorite podcast. 10/10, 5 stars, thank you for all you do!

Absolutely Favorite Finance Podcast
I listen to every episode. I appreciate the diversity of experts Farnoosh brings on her show. I leave every episode feeling inspired and ready to tackle my financial anxiety. I want to give special props to today’s episode (5/11/2020) on the future of millennial wealth. I love the raw and very valid expertise shared by Scott Galloway. As a millennial and a mother, my financial future (and my son’s future education) both weigh heavily on my mind. Thanks for all you do, Farnoosh!

Essential Listening for 20 Somethings
Farnoosh has been such a comfort during these insane times! I’m in my 20s and have been working on becoming much more financially literate and she has helped me understand exactly what I need to be doing with my 401k, investments, and savings! She gave me the confidence to really take a closer look at my spending and now I’m completely in control of my finances. I can not recommend this podcast enough! Especially to my 20 something girls out there, it’s time to take control!

Getting my ducks in a row during this quarantine
So for the last few years, I’ve been getting my money situation into better shape, ex: lowering my utilization ratio on credit cards, bought a preowned vehicle cash, spent less money on the things that don’t matter to me while spending it on the things that I love. Your podcast makes me write notes and I love learning things that I can apply to my personal situation. Thank you

Fantastic financial podcast
I love this podcast! I made a career change in February and began a financial advisor training program. Shortly after starting, the current pandemic hit and I’ve been at home for over a month. Thankfully I still have my job, but I can’t take the financial industry exams for my program because testing centers are currently closed. I started listening to So Money as I’ve been at home and I listen to multiple episodes every day now. Farnoosh has a wealth of knowledge and I appreciate the diversity of cohosts and advice that the podcast has to offer. Keep it coming!

Absurdly reckless advice. Run!
Listened to a few recent shows today and am shocked. One show included a co-host who recommended a person to not pay off their house and to keep their mortgage because they’d be “putting all their cash into their house and they’ll have no money because of it.” Wonder if she ever considered that when you have no mortgage, money piles up in your bank account at a sweltering pace because you don’t pay a mortgage? The next show included a kid with zero credibility who hadn’t even hit puberty the last time the markets crashed in 2008 giving advice on how to navigate through the roller coaster we are experiencing by being 100% invested in whole life insurance (Which is 20 times more expensive than term), while boasting that none of his clients had lost a penny during the recent crash. Farnoosh did not disagree with any of his moronic advise. Last, but not least, I listened to Farnoosh read an email from a woman asking if she should take out $20K in student loans despite the fact that the lady’s grandmother had offered to pay for tuition in full. Farnoosh urged her to go in debt in student loans, for the sole purpose to provide money to live on in case her husband happened to get laid off, even though the couple already has $30,000 in cash saved. Same hour, Farnoosh signed off on a girl from Australia withdrawing a huge chunk from her retirement as a preventative measure. The advice provided here is reckless and financial malpractice. Run!

Voice of Reason
I totally recommend listening to this podcast if you're looking for money advise from all aspects. Especially during these challenging times, Farnoosh is the voice of reason in many life aspects such as money, career, and family advice. When I first started listening, I was working on paying down my debt. I'd read a few books but found that it was hard to have money conversations in my circle of friends. Listening to the podcast made me realize there is a whole community of financial awareness from all walks of life. The podcast has opened my eyes and given me the confidence to take on challenges. Brilliant no bs advice
I love this podcast because there’s no fluff, Farnoosh gets to the point and gives great, real world advice without preaching. Farnoosh my question is how do you apply all this Coronavirus financial advice to small service businesses. Those of us who can largely still operate our businesses are not as directly hit by this mess, but we do have to think about cash flow in a different way. Thanks for all that you do!

Game changer for my husband and me!
I highly recommend this podcast to all who are looking to improve their financial literacy whether you are a total beginner (like I was) or a seasoned veteran. I am proud to say that after heeding Farnoosh’s advice for the past three years, my husband and I have saved up a six month emergency fund, paid off 80% of our student debt, saved 50K+ for retirement, and doubled our salaries through big career moves and negotiations. No exaggeration! I can honestly say that because of So Money, we are blessed to have a generous safety net during this crisis, and I could not be more grateful. Farnoosh is brilliant, funny, and down to earth, and I love listening to her and her guests week after week. I’ll be honest and admit that I am a 30-year-old Ivy grad with a master’s degree, and somehow never learned about personal finance until my late twenties. Thank you Farnoosh for not only helping me play catch up, but also weather this scary storm we are all currently facing!

I have been listening to financial podcasts for the last year which has motivated me to get organized financially and start taking ownership of my money. Great Investing Information Podcast
Farnooshis great with providing informative information to her listeners.I enjoy listening to the podcast on a daily basis. I started listening a year ago when I began learning about investing. Paula offers well reasoned and insightful comments about current market trends. She explains things so that beginners understand, but the show is definitely useful for the seasoned investor as well. Her variety of guests speak on a wide range of topics, and even though I don’t agree with some of them, it’s important to hear their side so I can confirm my assumptions are still valid.

Refreshing
For awhile now, I’ve set up auto deposits into retirement and savings accounts and have worked to grow my income, but haven’t felt as though I’m ever getting much closer to achieving my financial goals. I’ve made a New Years resolution to start to manage my money and investments more actively and strategically, starting by educating myself. Of the various finance podcasts I’ve tried, Farnoosh definitely resonates the most with me. She’s full of practical advice and has a personality that makes you want to listen and be her friend — unlike some cynical old men who are known in this space. I finish most episodes feeling inspired to take steps in my life. I’m grateful to have found this podcast.

Intro Level Podcast without Unique Content
I really enjoy Farnoosh herself - she’s a fun lively podcast host. I’ve listened for about a year because of her alone. That said, the advice is fairly generic and could be found in a basic budgeting/money website. Things like “maxing our employers match for 401k” are repeated for every “Ask Farnoosh Friday,” so they feel redundant. They are great for an intro level podcast, but after a while, the content feels stale. Many of the contributors also just wrote another generic “how to get rich” book without bringing something new to the table. I wish all the best for Farnoosh- she’s a smart and interesting woman!

It's stating the obvious!
Maybe it's my bad luck, but I listened to a few of the episodes and I felt that there was not much content. Every advice is very generic. Guests seem to be mostly from the writers of "how to become successful" books type without them actually being really successful . It can be a good source for young generations though. Overall, I think there is a good room for improvement. Thanks Farnoosh.

Food for the Brain and Soul
I started listening to So Money in April 2019 after being newly divorced. I am a single Mom of two little girls and was constantly struggling with Mom guilt. I have to work full-time and some days I wish I could spend more time with my girls. This show helped me realize that working full-time is actually more than just providing for my girls. I am being a good example to them—showing them that I am strong and independent. I can only hope that my girls grow up knowing that they can be whatever they want to be in life. I was a bit shocked--"God gave me the gift of being the custodian of this money."
After being laid off last year, I started to consider alternatives to corporate life and found this podcast to be informative and even inspirational--interview after interview with a spectrum of successful women whose stories and guidance helped me reframe my thinking around revenue streams. Today though I listened to Cathy Heller tell listeners that there is never too much wealth one person can acquire, and Farnoosh reiterated the point by lamenting politicians who want to do away with billionaires. Cathy responded by giving the usual examples of the Gates Foundation and Oprah and the incredible work they do...and then went a bit Kanye by saying God granted them this privelege to decide what to do with all the wealth. Some of us have to be teachers, servers, work in retail--to provide you with that 5 star hotel service that has just made all the difference in the world. And while you are providing a service by supporting artists with getting music into the film and television world, we are serving students by getting them the best curriculum, we are serving diners who want to escape life for a few hours, we are serving people with the transactional component of the supply chain. And we are paying more than we can afford for the basics--health care, education, heat, water...so you are officially out of touch with much of your base. Making a seven figure salary for a decade has more than afforded you with what you need to have financial freedom and in a democracy, taxes are collected so that representatives of the people, not billionaires, determine how best to rise the tide. It was very difficult to hear Cathy Heller talk about the dignity she feels at a 5 star hotel compared to a 4 star hotel. That dignity can mean that to you, while to me it means not having to check every local doctor bill in hopes they are wrong, to the dignity for a homeless man we help to have someone who cares enough to pick him up from the hospital after his mensa treatment and buy him clean clothes so he can find out whether MedQuest will cover his life-saving treatment. I appreciate that you are using your money to invest where you see fit, but David needs health care and he is as human and deserving of dignity as you--which is why billonaires will be taxed. I will not be boycotting Farnoosh or starting a hashtag about either woman; I will continue to listen and pick up information that fuels discussions. But--is this podcast for wealthy women, or for women who build success? Today it felt like it was for women who remain insecure no matter how much wealth is to their name, for women who can say things like "money is just an arbitrary structure!" as opposed to women who are dragging themselves out of credit card debt one bold step and hard day's work at a time. P.S.--Farnoosh asked for reviews and pulls one a week to have a 15 minute conversation with--pick me and tell me how I'm wrong.

Super helpful and informative
I listen to this podcast consistently. I love the intro: it’s not about couponing, or however they say it, etc. but the show is just as practical in my life.

Intro
I’m unaware of the content of the podcast which I’m sure must be great but I am not a fan of podcast that start directly with advertisements and take some time for the actual content to begin. I checked several episodes and they all started the same. I can take some adds but for a financially conscious person I totally dislike advertisements specially at the beginning.

Fun and informative
Farnoosh brings on an array of interesting and very personable guests (as is Farnoosh herself). Listening to these interviews have helped me expand my late-blooming financial education. This used to be a subject that I used to take the ostrich approach to (head in the sand pretend it’s not there). I now look forward to each new and DAILY episode- (go Farnoosh!). Finances have now become fun and engaging. Thank you for all of your hard work and for sharing this knowledge.

What every podcast ought to be
Farnoosh’s podcast kicked me off into my personal finance journey four years ago. Got out of debt, built personal wealth and have had fun in the process! Best part of her podcast? She knows her lane and respects her niched audience. Even though I have “graduated” on to investing, I come back to Farnoosh frequently to refresh on basics.

Love this podcast
I’ve listened to this podcast on and off for a while but recently have made it part of my morning routine. I typically start with a topic that sounds relevant to my current financial situation and end up gaining more than expected. I like that each episode touches on multiple scenarios because it allows me to learn from topics I wouldn’t have searched for on my own. I also really appreciate having multiple perspectives through the guest hosts. Thanks for all the insight!

Thank you !
Hi Farnoosh! I recently found your podcast and have been binge listening to it ever since! I simply love it! I find it very helpful to me! At first it scared me because I realized how much I don’t know about money. Also, the people you interview are so successful that it made me feel as if I couldn’t get as far as they did. However, I have realized that money isn’t as scary as i thought and with your help I’m becoming more aware of my finances. So thank you so much for making me more aware of money instead of just asking my husband to deal with everything himself. I do find that as a female I felt that money was not something I would dominante but with your podcast I realized that it was just a myth and that women should take charge of your own finances. I hope to be able to implement a lot of what I’ve been learning with you to my financial and personal life! Thank you so much!

Best podcast to keep me on track!
I started listening to Farnoosh a little over a year ago and it was for the better! This podcast helps me stay on track to reach my financial goals but also learn more about other financial topics. As a female, Farnoosh helps empower all women, but as a young woman I feel encouraged rather than discouraged when I listen to her podcast. I went to school and studied science so I often feel as though I fall short knowing the ins and outs of finance but this podcast helps me broaden my knowledge in this area. Keep doing what you’re doing!!

A Must!
So Money has changed my life and prepared me to face the good and the bad. Her and her guests have become great companions to me in my podcast library and have empowered me to take ownership of my financial well-being and future. Recently I was laid off and although I am nervous, I have my finances in order (trad. IRA, maxed 401k, emergency fund, and other investments, all thanks to Farnoosh!) and I am also a little excited for this new chapter; potentially a new/different career. Farnoosh has made me brave stand up and earn more but also prepared and smart for when times are tough. Thank you for all you do. I tell all my lady friends and man-friends about your absolutely amazing show. Keep rocking it Farnoosh! We are listening!

The Podcast for Smart Women who haven't always made smart choices
I love this podcast. It's for smart women who sometimes make smart choices, and sometimes don't know enough to do so. Farnoosh is an amazing combination of top notch information and warm, encouraging sisterhood. She faces financial matters big and small, with acumen, articulateness, and awareness of the emotional context that is always present.

Helping Me and My Relationship with $$
I have begun listening to this podcast, and the thing I enjoy about it is that it is helping me tackle finances head on instead of avoiding it. As a (pretty) recent college graduate, I know I need to take care of my finances but I grew up in a home that didn’t talk about money. So, naturally I avoided it. But, this podcast breaks things down in a way I understand and empowers me to look at my money, where it is going, and ask more questions so I have a full picture.

Great food for thought!
I discovered So Money this summer and have cranked through dozens of episodes, both the interviews and the Ask Farnoosh eps. I appreciate Farnoosh’s engaging interview style and her ability to get her guests to share insights into their own journeys with money and life, but also to pull out key tips for listeners to bring into our own lives. In the midst of life’s financial challenges, So Money is a great source of concrete tips and broader inspiration!

Farnoosh is obviously very intelligent and I love the way she shares her knowledge. I may be listening to a financial podcast, but Farnoosh is personable and relatable and it makes the content even more fun to listen to! I listen every morning while I put my makeup on and do my hair and it makes me excited to wake up!

Like a big sister sharing all her secrets
Farnoosh is like the big sister I never had, giving me money and career advice in tone that feels empowering and not shaming. I love that she gives focus to women and entrepreneurs, and in her “ask Farnoosh” episodes she answers questions I didn’t even know I had. A great listen wherever you are on your financial journey.

By far the most enriching & engaging financial podcast out there
This review is long overdue. I started listening to So Money about two and a half years ago when I was fresh out of law school, had student loan debt, and no experience in the corporate world. Since then, I have listened to every single one of Farnoosh's 900+ episodes which have influenced me to pay off all of my student loans, max out my 401k and Roth, invest, and stash 8 months of expenses in an emergency fund. What speaks volumes about the content of this show, though, is that thanks to Farnoosh's advice and that of her guests, I have more than doubled my salary in these two years - first, by asking for and receiving a $20,000 raise, and then by pursuing and receiving a job offer from a dream firm. I am certain that Farnoosh's and her guests' advice on this show (or also the advice from Farnoosh's guests that I obtained on their platforms after Farnoosh introduced me to these individuals) are to thank for providing me with (1) the knowledge that I can ask for these things; and (2) the knowledge how to ask for and pursue these things; which (3) gave me the confidence to do so. After almost 1000 episodes, I am still learning. Thank you for what you do and please never stop #influencing.

Smart, Practical Advice for Women
I love that Farnoosh isn't afraid to mince words: If you're a woman, you need your own source of income. As a woman who's in her 50s now, I've seen women who didn't work, who are now divorced, and who are now in financial trouble and scared. She also approaches all things money-related in a way that's relatable. I love this podcast!

Applicable and real. Must listen!!
Listening to So Money changed my life. Discovered the podcast in 2015 and went from living above my means and only saving enough to get my 401k match to maxing out my 401K contributions, saving, investing, and only using about 30% of my take home pay on my living expenses. Plus, now when I spoil myself with something I really want I don’t feel guilty because I earned this money and it’s ok to enjoy the fruits of my labor!

Farnoosh tells it like it is and shares with heart
I've been following Farnoosh and listening to her podcast for about a year now. I love that she isn't afraid to show up in the world 100% and she encourages others to do the same. She encourages people to play bigger in the world whether it comes to taking their power back in their finances or understanding that they're capable of living ambitiously (whatever that may mean for us). Her podcast is a must-listen for anyone who wants to take the reins of their lives and live passionately.

Contributing to mommy wars: Bravo, Farnoosh was right!
My sister was an housewife for over a decade. After finances became an issue in the home, her husband felt he had the right to dictate how all money was spend, including what she could spent. Since then, she went back to school and obtain employment in her dream field. She has gained more confidence, lose weight and has increased the families overall financial opportunities. Farnoosh was right that long term success of the family requires greater financial participation of the spouse/partners. Not only will there be there more financial opportunities for all, but greater personal empowerment for the individual. Note “jobs” include employment or self made wealth.
