Shorties world-wide, this show is my Cheers
For about 7 years it’s felt like hanging out every month with my friends that I’ve never actually met. (I’m sorry for taking this long to review y’all) It’s The most fun Horror Podcast you’ll find anywhere. The films don’t matter nearly as much as the hang (and the films are a 10 even when they’re not a 10) and I always feel like I’m in the room with them as I laugh at my phone while listening. Jessup, Steph, Johnald, Melissa & DR Benny Graves are the High Generals of Satan’s Army. SYLS forever babies. <3

Hands down the best, funniest and most informative horror movie podcast out there, and I listen to dozens. Every time I get a notification that a new episode is available, I’m like a child on Christmas morning. Thank you so much Jess, Steph, Johnald, Melilla, and others.

Just filthy and brilliant enough to keep me coming back.
Every episode I wish I was in their cool kids gang. I’m not as big a horror movie fan but maybe a bigger Halloween and perversion fan.

I really love this podcast, I have been listening since the pandemic started. It had helped get me through some long shifts at my former job and long hours of paperwork at my new one. I even became a Patreon member to get all the bonus stuff. It made me watch movies I had forgotten about and watch films I never heard of before

An absolute blast!
I work security overnights so I listen to a ton of podcasts while on the job. These guys clearly have a love for horror, aren’t pretentious snobs and just have fun talking about what they like or dislike with no bull. Helps that they have a good sense of humor, and I especially enjoy they keep political talk to a minimum, focusing on the movie. It seems that 99% of podcasts anymore are woke idiots screeching at their audience so it’s incredibly refreshing to find one that doesn’t play that game. Easily one of my favorite podcasts and I look forward to more.

Funny good timez!
This podcast is very entertaining. It’s funny. The people are hilarious. Great chemistry. 80s & 90s talk. Horror films. Comedy. You feel like your hanging out with your friends. Mmmbugus! One thing though, 5 or 6 people talking can be too much. I like the 4 person formula. Still good stuff.

Great so far!
So I just finished another horror podcast (witch finger horror podcast) and I really enjoyed that and this was the first recommendation under that podcast so I gave it a shot and I’m really enjoying it. I started with episode one and I’ll eventually make my way to the end but so far after two episodes I’m not really getting the title. It’s not really about satan at all. Not that I was listening for that 😂 I knew it was a horror movie podcast but I think the only time I’ve heard satan mention is when the casters say the title. I get it. Coming up with titles is hard but that’s my only gripe so far. Otherwise it’s a fun podcast about horror movies and it’s definitely helping the graveyard shift go by faster.

Satan is good. Satan is your pal.
One time in elementary school I was on a camping trip with my class. We went on a long hike far from the area we were staying. An hour in I realized I had to release my baby bowels. Shortly after being told to hold it til we got back, nature took over. There I was, a poopy pants around his classmates who’s really trying to hide it. That was a horrible time. SYLS is nothing like that time. In fact, their show is so intoxicating that I indulge in heavy sips of their frothy audio goo on a regular basis to forget about the time I pooped my pants on a camping trip. My take away from that time is to throw your inhibitions to the wind and SAY YOU LOVE SATAN!

Making the Dark Lord proud.
Do you hate boredom? Do you loath existence trapped in your mortal coil? Do you wear earbuds all day to drown out the cacophony of doldrums? Well push those earbuds in ‘til your ears bleed, pump some thick chunky SYLS goo into your ear tubes and brace for the sweet embrace of His Dark Lord. Warning: after consumption of SYLS you will have trouble enjoying any other podcast. Life may seem bland and lack luster. Fear not. Your next fix is just around the corner.

SAY IT! SAY YOU LOVE SATAN! I know I do
I’m not going to lie, it took me a little while to really get into this show because I thought the Jessup talked over everyone too much, and the show went off the rails too many times. I can understand how that can be a deterrent for some, but am I glad I stayed with this show and gave it a chance. I love how organized the segments are, the background sound effects and music are incredible, and the sense of humor is right up my alley. The depth of knowledge this show provides helps take it to another level. These hosts are very passionate about these movies even when it’s something terrible. I appreciate Jessup telling Melissa in one episode that it doesn’t matter if you’ve seen or heard of these movies before, its a great way to introduce these to people and to have fun with them. SO PUT DOWN YOUR STIGS, START AN EPISODE, AND JOIN ME AND THE OTHER SHORTIES WORLDWIDE!

As someone born in 1986 and growing up in the best period of time for horror movies, I cannot praise this podcast enough! All of my favorites are covered with in depth trivia and ratings, and I’m literally left in tears on most episodes from crying. Even tho they bashed my favorite movie horror Silver Bullet, I still have mad love for the gang! Keep up the good work!

First episode I listed to I was not sure what I was getting into. Fast forward a year and I am replaying episodes all the time. Great cast that is unquestionably true to who they are. Whether or not they are taking the piss out of a subject or complimenting a movie by offering the makers some degraded sexual act. All the more reason to give a listen. P.S. jessups screeches end up becoming a needed part of the show.

An American Horror Podcast
My second attempt at writing an iTunes review months after the last attempt was unceremoniously lost to the archaic interface dropping the text while submitting. Now that I've spent a lovely evening in a thoroughly entertainingly unprofessional live stream from the pod's host, serving as one of the few genuine highlights of the Covid lockdown, I figure it's worth another shot. If you haven't grasped it already, this is going to go long. Summary: five stars. You get it. For anyone else, tonight's livestream made me reconsider what it is I respond to about Say You Love Satan. Clearly, the Internet is not lacking in content where credential-less fans jabber about film. There's a lot of movie podcasts and there's a lot of horror movie podcasts. Talking about things you like is easy, accessible, and has a built in audience that, good or bad, will respond to you. I have options. I'm also not a dyed in the wool tape-head, gore hound, or able to draw nostalgia from a childhood actually anchored in the 80s, I just barely got born in the final dementia addled days of the Reagan administration. Yet for some reason, 'Say You Love Satan' has served for the last year and a half for me as a regular source of comfort, grinding away at the latest in a series of empty dishwashing jobs. First half of the workday, I put on a variety of shorter pods or music, heat of the day, whatever keeps me moving forward. But when the sun set, the dishes piled and the dining room started to empty my go-to was consistently SYLS, scrubbing down the cutting boards to Stephanie outlining Cotard's delusion or buff mopping the line while Jesse details the nightmare dog speaking to him in his chilldhood basement. Even walking home through the tragically now construction converted field shortcut between downtown and the suburbs while chatter about 'Nightbreed' buzzed in my headphones gave even the hottest Summer nights the spirit of a gusty Halloween evening. And sure, its not purely the magic of personality. SYLS is incredibly well produced, one of the most immediately striking things about it was the high attention to detail in the production, segments broken up with inspired audio bookends both made of familiar samples and ones that drove me to Google to find the origin of. Despite the infamy of the endless tangents, the show is tightly organized, leaving perfect points to break listening any given episode up into more manageable parts and providing variety that a regular listener can look forward to when their favorite segment gets a new installment. But variety in topics only works if the people talking about them are worth listening to and while some might heartily disagree, SYLS has one of the most impressive casts of regulars and guests from any show that isn't made up of people whose job off mic is also entertainment. Beyond the varying degrees of passionate and heated love of horror, some of the real magic of SYLS is the texture of the lives of the hosts themselves. From childhood toys, trespassing on abandoned mental hospitals, stashing porn in the woods, killing cannibalistic family pets, falling down ditches, digging up Christian propaganda videos from childhood, or the endlessly expanding vocabulary of Jesse's private planet, SYLS isn't just about the horror films that bring people together but in a way becomes in part about the kinds of people horror brings together, an honest, profane, occasionally embarrassing, spontaneously terrifying, but also relatable kind of unsanitized Americana both of the past and present that is frequently as entertaining and strangely comforting as talking about movies with people dissolving on a toilet. And that's why I waste a paragraph of a review talking about MY personal experience with the show, because after tonight I realize what it is I value about SYLS. It's not a show for everyone. It's somewhat hard to recommend, much like a trashy horror movie and even plenty of genre folks get turned off by the style and content of the humor and intentionally obnoxious tone it (and by it, I mean Jessup) occasionally takes. But what is valuable about SYLS is that its a show born from the personal experiences of four (and more) entertaining, thoughtful, diverse, and utterly individual people who in their own way put themselves on the line by doing this show. Its not a show about looking back for comfort, its often about the lives that lead us to, or in the worst cases demanded us to, seek genre entertainment as a source of comfort. Horror as a part of the fabric of our lives. Messy, thrilling, heartbreaking, laugh-filled, childhood trauma steeped, and hopefully richly lived lives. Time trips by, dishes stack up, but there's this eternal Halloween we can all revisit whenever life calls for it and all SYLS does is give that idea organized form and releases it on a monthly basis. So raise a glass horror fans in the Sleazy Speakeasy to Say You Love Satan. Tonight they helped remind me why I'm a nerd. If you haven't already, maybe give them a shot and see if you experience the same.

Awesomely hilarious!
Love this podcast, these ladies and gentlemen run a great show. Informative and amusing . I actually enjoy the tasteless humor. I’m a few years older than the hosts, so some of these I actually have to go and rewatch being as I haven’t seen them since the glory days of late night cable 30-35 years ago. While they slowed down the frequency of episodes over the last year or two. I hope that they keep going for a while to come.

This is actually the podcast that got me into podcasts a couple years ago. I came for the horror and stayed for the personalities. I haven't even seen most of the movies they've done but I'll listen to people talk about anything. They're uniquely hilarious, have really great chemistry, and are genuinely good people. Nowhere else can you get such a mix of actually accurate movie knowledge with bonus ridiculous songs and lots of Jessup screeching. This has been my favorite podcast for three years and I hope it never ends <3

THE. BEST. Podcast on all things 80s Horror and more besides. Everyone has great chemistry, Jesse absolutely cracks me up every episode. Pass. Hard pass.
Really disappointed in this - it's like a 3 hour version of the worst radio host with sound effects ever. Most of the episodes are unlistenable, off topic, unfunny, and boring. It's self-indulgent garbage with hosts who say racist and homophobic slurs thinking they're funny. Nothing about this podcast is funny or entertaining.

My favorite podcast!
*I thought I posted this once already so I apologize if this ends up being sent twice* I have been listening to this show for a year now and I can honestly call it my favorite podcast. Starved for a new show and left feeling down from the lack of spooky things after last Halloween, I found myself ready to dive into anything having to do with horror movies. Particularly any from the glorious decade that I unfortunately missed out by a few years, but like so many fell in love with while glued to the tv watching VHS tapes. I listened to a few shows here and there, but I wasn’t thoroughly impressed until I stumbled upon Say You Love Satan. Every film that the hosts choose to discuss hits home for me. Even with the movies I haven’t seen yet, just listening to the episode was enough for a copy of the movie to end up on my amazon wishlist. The balance of horror/movie talk and comedy is just right in my opinion. The use of music or sound clips at just the right moments is enough to cause the feels that I was searching for. I truly enjoy every single episode, from the first to most recent. Listening to these like minded ghouls has been one of the few things I’ve found as an adult to give me the same feeling of joy that I got from watching these movies as a kid. Anyone who considers his or herself to be a horror fan and enjoys a good laugh to get through the work day should consider subscribing to this show. Five stars across the board.

Say You Love Satan is by far one of my favorite podcasts and influenced me to start my own. The hosts are hilarious and charming, I love them all! The humor is point, the inside jokes are the best, I always have an Umboogas face when there's a new episode. It's a great plus that the hosts know their horror and bring the information along with the entertainment. The show also has a really fun structure with rotating segments and their fan interaction is very unique and if you sign up for Patreon you can even choose a film for them to review! Thanks Steph, Jessup, Melela and Johnald!

The SYLS crew members are hilarious and insightful when it comes to all things horror. They truly love and care for their listeners. Each member brings something to the table and have radiant personalities, even Jessup who gets a lot of undeserved hate for just being his awesomely sweet silly self. Love you guys, Happy Birthday Jessup, and if Melissa reads this: have her read it like Jennifer Tilly! 🤘🏻😈🤘🏻 -Chipper G

The show is interesting because I love most these movies. However, the episodes are WAY too long, and the one guy (not sure his name) is so obnoxiously annoying I had to stop listening.

I want to like this podcast so bad
It’s so informative and has such great topics. But geeeeez Jessup straight up ruins it. He’s constantly interrupting the other hosts with screaming, unnecessary tangents, and lame humor. Just when I find myself enjoying what the other hosts have to say, he blows it. The dude just likes to hear himself talk. If it weren’t for him I’d binge every episode. But I can’t take it, and I don’t know how the other hosts can either. At some points I find myself ripping my headphones off because he just sits and yells. Whoever told this man he’s funny—thanks.

Warms me up like bowl of Dinty Moore sliding down my gullet
One of my absolute favorite podcasts! There have been so many times that I have laughed during this podcast that it has brought tears to my eyes and made me nearly spit out what I’m drinking. Stephanie, Jessup, Jonald, and Melissa each bring something different to the table and I feel like it really makes for an entertaining podcast. It really feels like I’m sitting there with some good friends discussing horror! I hope you guys continue to do this podcast for years to come!

Da Beeeeeeesssssss
A very fun and irreverent group of goofs reviews all your favorite horror flicks! Every hosts brings something different to the table in trying to keep Jessup from completely flying off the rails. But hey, sometimes that’s the best part! If you don’t love sophomoric humor, obscure references to horror film composers and extended monologues about butt sex, then this isn’t the podcast that you’re looking for. However, if you’re a ghoul like myself, you’ll soon find yourself among like-minded fiends. My only complaint is an occasional guest whose every joke falls flat, but ya can’t win em all. Say “sha-na-na-nah” to those other horror podcasts and say you love Satan!

Perfect for long drives.
As a truck driver who does 600 miles a day,Say You Love Satan has been a very welcome ally to help keep from falling into the monotony of the road. Nice, long episodes that cover a variety of topics done with a nice balance of personalities from calm to spastic giving something for everyone. Even though I love every movie that gets dumped on I respect differing opinions and the fact they explain their stance. I tip my can of dinty Moore to you folks.

A gem, a treasure, a 10
I can't thank the Say You Love Satan (SYLS) crew enough - this podcast is a gem... some might even say, a treasure. It's tailor made for 80's horror nerds with a (sometimes brash) sense of humor. The films they cover are occasionally sleazy, often times questionable, and all around amazing (they sprinkle in some horror classics too). Put on some headphones, let your politcally-correct-filter drift off, and just enjoy. This podcast is well worth the listen. SYLS Crew: The 3-hour length, all though a bit much for some, is rad in my opinion. I've come to enjoy the side stories and tangents more than the films recaps, and really dig that I can put on an episode and don't have to fiddle with my phone for a while (this is particularly helpful while gloved-up in the lab). Keep going, always hanging on for another episode.

You're so cool Brewster !
It's like sitting around with a bunch of buds, jaw flappin' about your favorite (and worst) 80's horror movies. Only with more autistic shrieking, and everybody is from Philly. Easily the best way to blow through 2 and half hours either in the drive to work, or the train ride home. Tired of listening to all the morons at work ? Throw on an episode of SYLS. Wife and kids acting like a bunch of Chuds ? Throw on an episode of SYLS. Neighbors dog trying to tell you kill a bunch of people ? You see where I'm going with this...

This is the “Cheers” of 80’s horror movie Podcasts
I love this podcast! One of the best ensemble of personalities. I tune in and listen to the gang settle in with their beverage of choice and conversation that usually has me laughing in within a minute. If it’s not from Jesse’s random screams or stories, it’s John’s contagious laugh laughing at Jesse’s random screams or stories. I love Mellissa’s personality and Steph’s ease of steering this fun ship of awesome 80’s horror movie episodes, while I reminisce about the first time I saw these classics. Their passion and knowledge of this genre is impressive and appreciated. Thanks you very much, I’ll keep tuning in! Cheers! 🍻

...and I love this podcast! Say You Love Satan has quickly become one of my favorite Horror Movie podcasts. I love the off the wall humor and hilarious tangents infused into each episode. Let’s face it, if you’re listening to this podcast, you’ve probably already seen the movie that’s being discussed; who wants to have a dull play by play of the film when you can have maniacal bursts of laughter and weird sound effects?! These are exactly the type of people I want to spend my time with. So, sit back, crack open a can of Dinty Moore, and laugh along with Jon and Melissa as Stephanie struggles to keep the train on the rails, while Jesse drives it straight to Hell!! Hail Satan!

How Did This Happen
I have listened to the SYLS podcast since episode one and it just keeps getting better and better. The podcast is not only comprised of three people who have an extensive knowledge of all things horror but obscure Christian pop culture refrences ( i.e. DC Talk, the Donut Man, Bible Man) provided by Melissa. This podcast is the highlight of my boring work week and I smile every time I see a new episode in my feed. I highly recommend this podcast not only to horror fans but if you want to laugh and gain some horror knowledge along the way. Happy three anniversary SYLS and I hope for many more episodes filled with your brand of comedy and extensive horror knowledge and a few tidbits of Christian pop culture thank you guys for all you do.

Say You Love Pluralizing Unnecessarily.
I wanted to dislike this podcast. I think most movie review podcasts are boring or at best, wear thin. I'm not saying there aren't elements of this that get old (prepare for a large amount of drunk people talking over one another). I'm also not saying the hosts aren't often wrong (AC/DC rules). However, this podcast is quickly becoming something I anticipate and fiend for. As a suggestion, start with the Alien episode, it actually goes a long way to inform the specific vernacular used throughout.

Where do I start!? 🤔
First off these guys are super relatable to me...and I don’t know if that’s a good thing or not. Unethical, unabashed, insane, non-PC, spastic, knowledgeable, entertaining, disgusting, creative, and just plain fun. Basically too many adjectives to describe these deranged b*******!!!(looking at you Jess) I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this podcast every time I have had the privilege to listen. Out of all the podcasts I’ve searched out, this one in particular.....makes me feel like I’m listening to old friends have a conversation over movies I love and grew up watching. Also the inventiveness to add things other than just the reviews give this podcast longevity. Even when the show sometimes goes off the rails due to obscene ramblings, it’s never lost. Almost as if the spontaneous conversations are woven to the beat of the show. I absolutely love and adore this show. So much so, that they have utterly destroyed my idea of ever starting a podcast in the fact that this is the show I wish I would’ve created first. Keep up the great job you lil satanists!!! I’ll be here listening, and wishing I had a mic to chime in on the good times. Awesome show!!GREAT JOB!!!

Best Podcast EVVEEERRRR!
The title pretty much says it all. You have four hosts that are all amazing in their own way. They’re all hilarious and seem like seriously good people. Each of them adds their secret ingredient (often personality + alcohol) to the show which turns this podcast from gold to platinum. The humor and premise are perfect for horror and/or exploitation fans. The segments and gimmicks fit perfectly and are a lot of fun. I really can’t praise this podcast enough. No matter how down or tired I am, the SYLS crew can always pick me up without fail. Seriously, this is the BEST podcast out there.

If you have even a peripheral knowledge or enjoyment of horror movies, the guys and ghouls of Say You Love Satan! will entertain you for hours on end. Started listening to this podcast after a friend recommended it to me and I felt like I had discovered four long-lost friends. It was so refreshing to hear people talk about how much they love (and hate) the horror movies from the genre’s golden age (the 1980s) like I’ve done with some of my best buds for almost two decades now. I love listening to episodes for movies I haven’t seen and then going back and watching them after getting the group’s ratings just as much as I love hearing episodes for movies I love and have seen 100 times. Nothing but love for the SYLS crew for making my commute bearable!

A phenom, A tour de force, It tickles the tiddlybits
Working long and strenuous overnight hours, this podcast whisks me away to a better place: kicking back with a few irreverent amigos, drinking some dranks, and watching horror movies of varying quality. Discussion ranges from production facts to story elements to hilarious and NSFW tangents, with fantastic and original segments and sound bytes. The way they cover flicks scene by scene long form makes for a great lengthy experience and multiple listens, just like pulling a flick from the collection. Do recommend going through the back catalog to familiarize oneself with the lingo and inside jokes. Very interactive with their listeners. The humor ain’t for the faint of heart, but as horror podcasts go it’s like a tippy top fine wine.

Found the show and started listening. I randomly grabbed something from the back log. Bad luck I guess that I just happened to pick Friday the 13th episode. Started out fine but part of the way through they felt the need to go off topic in a topical show. Ok it happens. Then they lashed out at listeners who like me want to listen to conversation about the topic at hand. Their theory is the internet is a safe place to express oneself so I’m expressing my dissatisfaction with the content of the show. From what I could tell if you like campy horror you may enjoy this show.

Pretty Rough
First off. I love Stephanie's voice. Made for broadcast! The produciton values are great. But the hosts. Egad, reminds me of being in high school again. Tons of fart noises, penis and vagina jokes. Melissa McCarthy's labia jokes. Listening to them shout Shortys worldwide all the time. I found it hilarious initially but it gets old REAL fast. And I swear they can't stay on topic for more than 30 seconds and they're off on another tangent. I do enjoy how they review from the perspective of someone who loves horror movies, rather than getting all critical. They don't get too detailed, which is a trope too many movie podcast fall into because, frankly, I don't care about how some specific lighting or minor script change could effect every minute scene. I think I will still enjoy listening to this podcast, just in VERY small doses. Definitely not one you can binge.

Listen To This Podcast
This is a 'Shining' example of pure entertainment. 'IT' is safe to say this podcast is 'The Thing' we have all been missing in our lives. Astounding production value and music all the way through, with a perfectly 'Bad Taste' in crude humor. Each host brings an interesting perspective 'From Beyond' with nerd knowledge that could result in 'Brain Damage' if given in large doses. Our 'Society' could use a lot more 'Demons" like these guys. All jokes aside SYLS is one of the best podcasts out there and delivers a dangerously good time... every time.

Everyone on the show are hilarious, loveable, and relatable, as if you're hangin with your buds talking 80s horror. Serendipity
It was serendipitous that I found this podcast and glad I did they are funny and talk about horror movies, the horror book reviews I especially like my one critique would be don’t reveal the entire book. It sounded good and would have loved to read it but now I don’t know if I will because I know the ending. I might still read it but if somehow you can talk about a book without giving away the ending I would appreciate it. Loved the discussion and banter, much more substance than other horror podcasts.

I want to kill, everyone. satan is good. satan is our pal.
I want to give this podcast 5 stars, it’s a personal distaste that brings it down, not a lack of production quality. The casual racism, sexism, and occasionally excessive fart noises can bum me out (pun intended). Even though they’re joking, the humor can be off-putting, at times. That said, the show is light-hearted, often funny, and always fun. Each episode is well researched and includes other fun facts about medical diagnoses, cool stuff to buy on the interwebs, and more; the quizzes are a blast to listen to. The sound engineering and audio choices are my favorite of any podcast I’ve heard. Despite the aforementioned womanizing, there is always a female presence (thank satan for Steph and Melissa!) and I really enjoy hearing women on a horror podcast. Give it a listen, you will love it, or at the very least appreciate the work that went into it. to the SYLS crew: you’re doing it, Peter! UPDATE: I appreciate how personally my review was taken! thanks for not #womanizing me.

This podcast helps me financially. Let me explain. I work long hours in front of a computer, sometimes 70 plus hours a week. Gets pretty lonely sometimes. Thats where this podcast comes in. Not only does the 4 hosts, Jessup, Jonald, Stephanie and Melissa review fun, kitschy, schlocky horror movies they do it in a way that almost makes it feel like you are there with them discussing their flick of the week. They get me thru the long hours with hilarious vulgar banter, Philadelphia references, and just crazy horror knowledge. And they pick great, obscure flicks to review. They also extened past the podcast with a great horror community thru their patreon. Seriously if you love horror and have a great sense of humor give them a try!! Say You Love Satan! Awesome and very entertaining podcast! Got smartened up to this about a month or so back and have been playing catch up. There's not many podcasts that I listen to that are over 2 hours long, this is an exception. Well done!

Boo!
Recently I've drifted from listening to music while working, and I happened to find this podcast which has been great to put on as I draw. It's a great blend of entertaining and informational, and having grown up on 80's horror movies, particularly since they were a huge influence in my work, it's been great to rediscover some films I forgot about and learn even more about my favorites. Particularly love the "IT" and "The Thing" episodes. Basically if you like to rant about horror movies too, this podcast is definitely a great listen for you.

Not a day goes by where I don’t think of Hidden Hanks. I have never snort-laughed at anything so hard in all my days. Also I’m obsessed with IT episodes and listened to them twice. I love hanging with my SYLS buds while I’m driving. Thanks for all the ear candy!

Perfection
In my never ending quest for quality Horror podcasts, I stumbled across this little dark gem. It's seriously one of the best ones out there. They are all funny as hell (even Jessup) and I find myself laughing out loud on my commute and talking right along with them. I've both enjoyed and endured the movies they have inflicted on us. Listen for long enough and you'll find yourself saying sha-nah-nah, frabuggah (sp?), and the rest in your every day life. By horror nerds and for horror nerds this podcast is the beeeeeeeeeeest.

Come for the movies; stay because Jesse spiked your drink.
Do you and your blue collar friends like to sit around and drink and talk about horror movies from many tomorrows ago? Then this podcast is for you. Where other shows like SHOCK WAVES and THE MOVIE CRYPT have a foot inside the industry that pumps out your favorite fright films, SAY YOU LOVE SATAN is just a podcast by fans for fans of the same gory, creepy, campy and classy movies we not only know and love, but if it came down to preserving my favorite 80s horror films and saving my dog, well.........she’s old and lived a good life and, let’s face it, it’s much more accepted in society to have a collection of horror films on your shelves and not the body of your recently deceased pet. I mean, yeah, your Blu-rays may provide endless entertainment, but they can’t hold a door open like the lifeless lump of a beagle could. Shoot, where was I going with this again? .....oh, right. Listen to this podcast. I do, day and night. Alive and asleep. Well, not when I’m asleep: I mean, I’m just learning that I can’t comfortably fall asleep unless Jesse is making wet farts with his mouth while Steph tries so hard to thoroughly review a film. It’s the little things in life that really keep you going...

You are not alone
This is my favorite podcast. I thought I was all alone in the world with my obsession with 80s horror, but I am not alone. You guys touch my little black heart with your obscenities and hilarity. This podcast truly keeps me going day to day. Thank you for what you do and please continue. If you truly love horror, even new horror, check out this podcast and learn about the movies that really changed the face of what we consider horror today. The movies they review are classics. Steph, Jessup, Melissa, and Jonald Sutherland have an amazing chemistry that is so fun. I often repeat shows I’ve already heard because it’s just that good. Thank you!

The Best
There's lots of funny podcasts that riff on movies but none of them exclusively do 80s horror except for this one and that is awesome. Also, these guys know how to laugh at the movie's flaws but still have affection for it, like a lot of us horror fans. I love the crazy tangents and effort that they put in to offer other segments of the show as well as music amd samples that is added. It's a lot of fun.

Meh?
Hit or miss podcast depending on the movie. For the most part, way too long and hosts can be slightly annoying with lack of knowledge about the subject/movie(s) and one dude could be the most annoying human in existence. I had to take a break from this podcast for a bit but somehow got sucked back in so I guess that means it’s doing something right?

The best horror-related podcast.
This is pretty much the only thing I listen to while driving. At first, I only stayed for the segments and skipped the actual film breakdown. Also, thought the episodes were too long haha. But, I’ve learned to appreciate every single moment and have been trying my best to catch up on everything. The crew is one of a kind and they’re really entertaining as where most podcasts are pretty monotone/boring. Each episode starts with the intro, then some segments/games, then actual film discussion, and finally an outdo. As for the film discussion, they take their time breaking down each film and include loads of trivia, even for the really trash films. You'll also hear many sound effects, music, and sound bits that are implemented by Jessup. His wife, Steph, is the host and she’s the one that keeps the discussion going when it goes off-track. Then you have, Jonald, the social media master & Jessup’s partner when it comes to hilarious jokes & insults. Lastly, there’s Melissa, the group’s realest, mysterious, and most basic b**ch. This is already too long, so yeah, check them out and support them via Patreon!

An absolute must for horror fans
A perfect mix of personalities makes this horror movie podcast a real good time. Stephanie- the show runner possesses a voice smooth as silk and completly intoxicating. She knows how to direct the banter and keep it tight. Jesse- resident tape head- serves as the joke master. A self aware, non-apologetic movie "nerd"/ metal head cocktail. Jon provides insightful commentery and background information- film school knowledge you won’t roll your eyes at. Melissa is an awsome mystery and appears to simply be along for the ride, but in reality- she may just be this podcasts very own final girl.

Hilarious dose of horror nostalgia
SYLS is a guaranteed gut laugh or 12 every episode. While probably too raunchy for the mainstream listener, it's a great listen for the seasoned horror fan. It may seem daunting that the crew goes through movies blow-by-blow, but their entertaining commentary is worth it. They supplement each "feature presentation" with a rotating set of bits that keep things interesting, informative, and of course funny. Every host adds something unique to the mix and they have great chemistry. The sound design and overall sound quality is on par with the best podcasts out there. An underrated aspect is the strong female core of the show; host Stephanie and regular co-host Melissa provide a lot of laughs and insight and there are regular female guests. In a genre that isn't always female-friendly, it's awesome to hear their perspectives.

Great but with one flaw
This podcast is a lot of fun when they stay on topic. Too frequently they seem to forget that they are doing a horror podcast and not some left-leaning political comedy show a'la The Daily Show. Far too many Trump jokes, Trump supporter jokes and even SJW comments about things like "privileged white people." Why they would continually ask for their listeners to contribute money via Patreon while constantly insulting Trump voters (lets remember that A LOT of people voted for President Trump) is beyond me. Aside from this annoying and unfortunate flaw, the podcast is great. You can tell there is a genuine love of 80's horror cinema here and that the hosts of the show enjoy a real closeness with each other which makes for a good vibe. This is one of the podcasts I listen to the most regularly and I recommend it if you're a fan of both good horror films and good-bad horror films. If they dropped the annoying political stuff, the show would be a perfect five stars.

This is one of the best podcast there is specially on the 80's horror department, the best segment is their post apocalyptic arcade. The main cast (Jessup, B.B, Jonald Sutherland and J.L. Sometimes Dead is Better
This has quickly become one of my favorite horror podcasts. I came across it a few months ago. I scrolled through the feed and discovered that the first episode was Trick or Treat. Holy crap - I knew right away these were my people. Of all the 80's horror films to kick off their pilot episode with, they chose Trick or Treat. This is the best heavy metal horror film (featuring a former cast member from Family Ties) ever made. I love their hilarious stories. I love how they mix up the segments of the show. But most of all, hearing them discuss films is like experiencing them again for the first time. They make these movies fun again and really set themselves apart from other podcasts with similar themes. So, what are you waiting for? Stop reading this review. Hit the subscribe button, press play, take the bag of ruffles potato chips out of Clint Howard's crotch. Get yourself some sour cream and onion dip and reanch dressing and sit back and enjoy.

A great podcast, but with some serious issues.
I have extremely conflicting views about this podcast. On one hand, I absolutely love some things about it- the movies they cover are great, and I have so much fun listening to them talk about my favorites. The extra segments they throw in occasionally are fun too, and I like how the hosts get along. My favorite thing about this podcast, of course, it the sound design- the music is great, the clips they play before different segments are fun to listen to, and- this is going to sound weird- but the collection of clips they play between Trailer Trash and the Feature Presentation (the sounds and music you'd hear when watching an old VHS from blockbuster where the guy says "And now, our feature presentation" followed by the spooky music) gives me chills literally every time I hear it. (It hits me right in the nostalgia.) That being said, this podcast has a couple HUGE problems that can't go unaddressed. The biggest problem is... well, it's hard to describe it other than just saying "Jesse". One of the hosts- Jesse- gets on my nerves like nails on a chalkboard. It's like this guy has no filter whatsoever, and will often- completely without rhyme or reason- just spout some of the most disgusting, random sexual statements you've ever heard. It doesn't matter what the context is, or what the group is talking about at the time, he'll just impulsively say something that makes my stomach churn, and nobody ever seems bothered by it. Now, I don't have issue with gross-out humor or sexual jokes, but I'm fine with them as long as they're, you know, funny. Being gross just for the sake of being gross only goes so far before it overstays its welcome, and Jesse's jokes overstayed their welcome like seventy episodes ago. The other big issue is the fact that since the podcast started, the episodes have just gotten longer and longer and longer and longer. Now, I see podcast length as no object as long as they stay on-topic- but when a podcast spends literally twenty minutes talking about bloody tampons or having sex with a hole in the ground, does the episode really need to be three hours long? It wouldn't kill them to edit episodes down to a reasonable length by cutting out all of the (disgusting and horrifying) unnecessary parts and leaving it at a two-hour block of solid gold. (And this is especially bizarre, considering how amazingly-produced the podcast is otherwise.) But, despite these glaring problems, I really can't bring myself to give it less than five stars, because the things I like (especially the sound design) are just SO GOOD! But there's no way I can ever recommend this podcast to anyone when every five minutes they have to go on a tangent to talk about Jesse's semen or whatever garbage he's spouting off about, or when every episode is longer than most people would listen to in a week. I really wish the hosts would cut down on all of the fluff and make this podcast truly perfect.

Quite possibly the greatest horror podcast ever
Sha-na-na how are you not apart of the SYSA (Say You Love Satan Army). You need to get on that already. I absolutely love Say you love Satan not only because it's based on 80's horror movies. But they pick well known horror movies and they also review horror movies from the 80's that people tend to dislike which usually end up being some of my favorite horror movies of all time. Like Halloween III: Season of the Witch is disliked by many Halloween franchise fans because of the fact that it doesn't follow Michael Myers but that is what makes it one of my favorite movies of all time because it's something different. Keep the scares coming guys and ghouls.

Mandatory Insanity
Stumbled upon this amazing podcast out of Philly today. It's pretty much like white-water rafting on acid with four people who are not only incredibly knowledge about horror movies but also very funny in the crudest possible way. Their postmodern deconstruction of Phantasm actually made me laugh out loud. Highly recommend & highly NSFW (unless you wear headphones, like I do) PS. The podcast takes its name from the title of a book about teen killer Ricky Kasso.

These guys have so much to say about horror, and have an apparent passion for the genre. They put out episodes regularly and interact with their listeners on social media, so you feel like you're a part of the conversation. The best thing is that they don't just review what's new or what's popular. Sometimes they review movies that are downright garbage! And horror fans like to talk about the garbage just as much as the "good stuff". Seriously, give this show a go. I like it, and I didn't even get paid to write this review!

This is seriously the worst horror podcast I've ever listened to. I listened to 2 episodes because I wanted to give it a fair shot. What a waste of my time. 2 hours of four idiots laughing hysterically at each others weak jokes about whatever movie they are discussing. Ever gone to the movies and had the bad luck to sit near a group of morons who think they are the next coming of mst3k try to rip on the movie loudly and then look around to make sure everyone heard their brilliant humor? This is pretty much that, with way less comedic ability. Only redeemed by the ability to turn it off and delete it.

Not only do they give listeners the option to choose the movies they discuss, they are excellent at giving shoutouts, props, and recognition to their fans. I love that they are very active on all forms of social media. Their Instagram Scream Stream is the highlight of my week! Listening to this podcast is EXACTLY like my brother and I watching and rewatching his old VHS tapes of whatever horror movies my parents would get for him (as a girl, of course, I got freaking nothing but rom-coms - THANKFULLY at least I also got any movies with Gary Oldman). Seriously, I look forward to popping in a movie on my husband's 24s (EMT) and then listening to the podcast. I haven't giggled at such inappropriate and hilarious conversations since watching movies and shows with my brother who, if I am lucky, I see MAYBE once every other year. For reals, you guys are like my horror fam, lol. Can't wait until I have some dough to throw the podcast's way!

Love this podcast SO much! I have only been listening for about a month now and I have almost listened to them all already. I drive for a living so being able to listen and laugh all day is great! I listen to several other horror podcasts but this is my favorite. A lot of other horror podcasts review the current horror movies which is fine but I love this podcast for reviewing terrible great 80s gems! Also I love the beer talk and all the other segments. All hail SYLS!!

Definitely my favorite horror movie podcast. The scene by scene breakdown of each 80s horror gem really takes you back and the commentary is fantastic. You'll definitely stay for the cast. There's some inside lingo to catch up on, but you'll be in the cult in no time. Aaaaaaand it's a 9.

Best Horror Podcast Out There!!!
So many have tried, and so many have failed. Not the case with SYLS podcast. Imagine "The Breakfast Club", but instead of writing an essay on why they're in detention they're reviewing all the horror movies of the 80's. Hilarious banter, honest answers and a good time guaranteed with every episode you listen to. Do yourself a favor and give them a listen...then give them your soul, because once you're hooked you'll do anything just to hear another episode.

I have frequented 2 podcasts in my 30 years on this filth infested planet, Stone cold Steve Austin and Sayyoulovesatans podcast... If you don't like coffee, beer, horror and sexual humor you are probably a fragile little millennial dweeb and this podcast isn't for you. Seriously though, it's a great horror podcast hosted by great people. I frequent it often and will continue too.

Great fun
Hits you like a brick with a face getting hit in the face with a brick. This team of friends stumble through film reviews. The diversions sound like taxi drivers dropped acid and narrate old spice commercials. Do not sip a beverage or you risk covering any nearby pet, person, or place in laughter-vomit.

Great horror podcast. when i found it i binged listened for about a week and was hooked. They really break the movies down and add a lot of weird facts that you may not know. The sound quality is great. There's tons of listener interaction and they give mad support to artists and artisans of the horror/creepy nature or just people they happen to admire. its been fun watching the say you love satan community grow

I am a huge fan of this podcast and everyone involved. Their chemistry is perfect as well as their balance of humor and horror knowledge. There is not one person I do not like in their cast. I feel like I am ease dropping on a group of good friends talking while I am listening. The guys are funny and I love all the voices they do. the girls are great at balancing and keeping the show on track, I may not know what they look like but I have formed a big crush on them. I tell my wife what happens in each episode I listen to but her being a Christian hates the name of the show haha but even she can't deny the happiness it brings to me. If you at all like 80's horror movies give this cast a chance to rip your guts out with laughter and fun.

I'm a big fan of these guys. Full belly laughs, ridiculously detailed trivia, stupendous movie selections, great hosts each with their own info to add all mesh together to make a really enjoyable, nonstop orgy of gore podcast experience. I'm a mortician. My job is intense 1000% of the time. Say You Love Satan has become my favorite way to decompress after a long day. Every segment is great, but I specifically enjoy Pathology Perversions as I live in constant fear of things like MRSA and other medical maladies I could possibly face at work. Guys (and ladies) please keep up the good work, it really is appreciated.

This podcast is hilarious. I don't recommend it to anyone looking for a fluid, super serious discussion about film though, and that's why I enjoy it so much. Yes, they cover each movie from beginning to end, but if you're not into half drunken banter, doodoo humor and tons of side tracked conversations (almost always on account of Jesse) then go watch Inside the Actors Studio. They've covered lots of my 80's faves and a few I had not seen before. Each episode has a few different segments in the first half before moving on to the feature presentation. I like how they change it up with each episode. These are the folks I would watch horror films with if I knew anyone irl that liked horror as much as me. I look forward to this podcast every week and love what these guys do. Thanks from Los Angeles! Emma (@artbyeemar on Instagram)

Fun for the whole family!
Were you a product of the 70's or 80's and have been looking for a podcast to seduce its way into your aging earpants? Well, sha na na no more friends. This foursome fights boredom every week by diving deep into the crypts of horror cinema of yesteryear. We're talking jam packed 2+ hour episodes steamin to the brim with nostalgic nuggets featuring multiple segments covering an array of diverse topics and an in (way, way in) depth anal-lysis of the featured presentation brought to you by a group of swell individuals who I can only imagine are upstanding members of their community and devoted advocates of Lucifers legion. Seriously, these guys and gals make you feel like one of their pals with great chemistry, clever banter and a sense of humor that could charm the taint off a nuns tooch. If they're reading this: guys, i love you and all that you do. If i had one wish to make this holiday season it'd be for an xmas episode dedicated to Gremlins. Well that and peace on earth/goodwill to all men but definitely a Gremlins episode. Thanks and stay deranged!

I found these guys while looking through related folks on Mrs. Angemi's Instagram. I've been listening to them religiously since the 3rd episode and have managed to turn my best friend into a member of the SYLS army as well. These guys are SO hilarious and their reviews are spot on. I've been having so much diving into the depths of cheesy/awesome 80's horror, discovering new beers (the Dr. Steve Brule intro is the best), and learning about microbiological terrors during Steph's Pathology Perversions segment. This is the perfect podcast for anyone who, like me, grew up in the 80's and only ever cared about horror movies and all things dark and creepy. Awesome mini segments before the "Feature Presentation" covering topics from gnarly diseases to urban legends and everything else in between. Tons of trivia, background info on cast and crew, and connections to your other horror (and sometimes non-horror favorites. I'm looking at you Anne of Green Gables). The reviews/discussions are in depth, thorough, entertaining, and hilarious and always served up with a healthy dose of nostalgia. Awesome job dudes! I love your shooooow!

Funny Talk about 80's Horror
Very fun and casual discussion of older horror movies. Feels like listening to some funny friends talk. They are pretty into cheesy 80's horror, but I like that they don't just heap praise on everything. They're critical, but appreciative of the things that make these movies enjoyable. Lots of jokes prepped in too. I've been listening to their entire back catalogue in preparation of Halloween. Found out about them through Instagram of all ways.

I'm Sayin' I Love SYLS Podcast
Easily the best horror podcast I've listened to, and I've attempted quite a few! SYLS delivers when it comes to their overall production of the podcast. Talk about adding variety, originality, great music, etc all whilst weeding out the extra boring elements and consistent monotone-talking most podcasts tend to achieve. This is not even getting into their personalities! They're all so dang hilarious, it makes me want to vomit from laughing sometimes. Seriously. But yeah, guys, give them a listen! They all have wonderful taste when it comes to the polarizing horror genre, and leaves you thinking, "Wow, they NAILED it!!" (all while choking from your laughter-infused vomit, of course). I can't WAIT to continue listening to these amazing and sweet personalities as *they* continue to expand and grow as a podcast.

I love the subject matter but listening to the guys on this show reminds me of 13 year olds. These guys use the F bomb every other word like it makes them look cool or sound funny. Not being a prude, I have a foul mouth myself but they use the word to the point that you can't enjoy the analysis. The Best Podcast for 80’s Horror, nostalgia, and cat butt holes!
The best way I can describe Say You Love Satan, is that it is a podcast that not only covers the small silly bits about schlocky 80’s horror films, it is also a nostalgia trip for those who were born in 80’s, with a sort of perverse twist. I constantly find myself relating to their conversations, liked I would be having them with my own friends. This is a show for people not right in the head, and I mean that in the best way possible. Started listening last month and been power listening to catch up. I love the segments of the show. The occasional mention of cat butt holes is hilarious as well. Give these guys a listen, trust me. Unless you have a problem some hardcore Philly accents. Id give it 666 stars if I could.

Horror Nerds Rejoice
Almost anyone can produce a podcast these days, but not just anyone can create one thats engaging and entertaining. Say You Love Satan succeeds, taking a niche like the horror pop culture from our childhoods and allowing us all to reflect on the magical time known as the 80's. At the same time, exploring certain modern day facets of horror. The gang's chemistry with each other propels the show and has a familiarity to it that feels welcoming and familiar. This could be any of our groups of friends, talking video nasties, horror merch and everything in between. If you enjoy the horror genre, especially that of the 80's, check this out. It's informative and funny and dare I say addictive. If nothing else this podcast will supply you with a plethora of new catch phrases...

Enough is never enough
A treasure! Stumbling upon this 80's horror podcast is one of the best things I have ever done! I am constantly laughing out loud and talking to myself while listening in the car to and from work, and often have to repeat previous episodes to hold me over until the next podcast is released (I can't even wait 7 days). I have listened to many horror/film related podcasts out there, and while the formats differ, this podcast definitely stands out as the absolute best of the best. All the way from the hosts, content, genius programming, and sound clips, right down to the very interesting and unique segments (and the segment music is ALWAYS on point), there truly isn't a dull moment. The hosts are hysterical and have the best chemistry. They easily make you want to become their best friends. They are extremely interactive with their listeners on social media, which I love. I would also like to mention how much I love the segment "Pathology Perversions"...you will have to listen to find out why. If you can't get enough of all things horror, what are you waiting for? Fun and over the top!
Here's a horror movie podcast that picks great films to dissect, done with amazingly inappropriate humor and style. In addition to the film, you can expect talk on related subjects like medical deformities, traffic accidents, and beer. They also have a mix of ladies and guys. It's not just another by the numbers podcast. The music and sound bite samples show that they take it seriously, even as they rag on each other and humanity in general. I love it!

I spend entirely two much time in my car and this podcast has been my entertainment on my long drives. I haven't even seen most of the movies reviewed, but I still crack up listening to the commentary on each one. The humor is super low brow at times, but it is definitely entertaining and makes me laugh out loud in my car by myself. 80's horror makes the world go 'round
Took me only a couple months to get through the archives and all caught up. Now I feel a nagging famine 13 days out of every fortnight, as I wait in baited breath for the next show. The group has great chemistry but I can't help and wonder if these guys would consider "solo" bumps every once in a while of 30 minutes in length or so to keep a weekly presence as their army of listeners continues to grow. I love the "skin crawling creeps" and "pathological perversions" segments.

Firstly, I'd like to say that if you're looking for a good horror podcast look no further. Secondly, this show is not only hilarious , but the crew puts a lot of blood into this podcast. From the amazing sound bites that take you back to the 1980s to the segments that help to enrich the listening experience; this podcast is the cream of "The Stuff." The selection of movies are great for die-hard fans as well as provoking a great guide to those new to the genre. Let's not forget that the sense of humor amongst the hosts fits mine perfectly. Also one thing this podcast does that others do not is that the host have their ears to the ground on what's hot in horror merchandise. In conclusion, if your bored at work or looking for a flick to dive into head first, this is the podcast for you.

If you are a fan of 80's horror films and you enjoy comedy podcasts like "How Did This Get Made" then you best be dowloading this podcast right the hell now. Not only do they cover so of the best (and worst) horror flicks the 80's had to offer, but they also delve into the world of horror themed music, true tales of horror (serial killers, bigfoot attacks, medical related horrors) all with a booze influenced humor twist. As they often like to say you should check this out because it will make your butthole tingle.

One of my favorite Podcasts! I love listening to it when I'm in the car. I usually crack up by myself and everyone around me thinks I'm crazy. Definitely worth listening to! Learning so much Horror knowledge and weird medical terminology!
