Heart broken
I just finished listening to this podcast boy was I crying. I have three girls and I can’t imagine what this poor mom is going thru. Poor Brandy what a horrific death that she endured. Keep up the good work Ms. Soo. Can you do a podcast on Pedro Alonzo Lopez he was a Colombian serial killer he was better know as “The Monster of Los Andes” he killed over 300 little girls.

Rotten mango is a great crime podcast to listen to, Stephanie is a great story teller and makes sure to go deep into her research to make an amazing podcast. She isn’t a super monotone storyteller and always makes me giggle even with this being a crime podcast. Great podcast 👍🏼

ITS JUST SO GOOD
I’m so picky. I don’t like some of the podcasts that try to be funny or mundane or fake serious. This is just PERFECT. It’s dramatic it’s colorful it’s heartfelt it’s relatable. It’s like a friend is telling you a story organically and with genuine emotions etc. i love it. Great story telling. Great energy. Can’t get enough. Very graphic in some cases and I’ve had to skip them but fantastic production.

Great to listen to
I’ve know some of the cases that are mentioned on this podcast and like the research provided. My only criticism is that some of the stories should mention what time period they have occurred in.

Best podcaster/storyteller!
I will forever stan Stephanie Soo because she keeps me entertained whenever I’m bored or at work! For all the people complaining about her voice: why?? She literally adds character to her story telling. There’s nothing wrong with her voice - so much better than a bland voice. She has amazing memory and when talking about sensitive topics, she makes sure to talk about how serious it is.

Too much
I think the story telling is creative. However I just couldn’t get through the delivery. The narration is too fast and frantic, and oddly perky despite the subject matter. I wish she would slow down and tone it down.

Love This Show!
I love this show and their host. However, I give it three stars until a glitch is fixed. Something about how they edit or cut their ads, makes it so if you pause the podcast to come back and pick-up listening where you left off, the podcast won’t start playing. Even if I try to start the episode over from the beginning the podcast won’t start playing the episode I left off on. It does this to every episode I get about halfway through, and then I’m never able to finish them. I checked to see if this was an Apple glitch and it’s not, it’s a glitch where the podcaster is trying to get the ads to play once a listener rejoins. In this instance, the way this podcast is edited and setup on this service it won’t let you finish an episode if you stop midway through. This is ultra frustrating as I can’t usually finish an episode in one sitting. I’ll change this to a 5 star once this glitch is fixed.

My Favorite Podcast
I was in search of a good crime podcast with fun story telling. I took a chance on a strangely named podcast and fell in love with Stephanie’s storytelling. Her dedication to research and truly caring about the victims and getting as much facts as she can is amazing. I started at the beginning back in April and I’m almost caught up. Highly recommend giving it a chance.

Good well researched
Great podcast and entertaining but way too PC / rewriting history ish. I get you’re a very happy person but you don’t have to act like every man is wrong or pretend racial issues were different or ect. Just State more facts than trying to shine up insignificant details about pc stuff that happened in the past. Not everyone is “triggered” or everything isn’t “traumatizing “ like chill out b

Way too graphic
I like Stephanie’s energy and storytelling, and I consider myself pretty thick-skinned, but the stories have gotten too graphic and grisly. Not every morbid detail needs to be told; it sometimes makes me feel sick and I have to turn it off. There’s too many sexual assault stories, too. Please lighten up a little bit on the gore.

Couldn’t get past 2nd episode
The topics are well researched, I’ll give her that, but the host’s voice is just too difficult to listen to. Her voice is high and mousy like a high school kid. It’s like I’m overhearing a teenager’s conversation with one of her friends. She’s also constantly perky even while being shocked and appalled by the events she’s describing. The vocal fry is also very annoying. After laboring through the first episode, I gave her another chance by skipping past a couple of weeks an episode in the teens. About twenty minutes in, I couldn’t take it anymore and turned it off.

Stephanie has been my anxiety medication replacement since the dawn of time :,) the attention to detail and the way each and every case is articulated is so just wow!! She is where I hold my bar of quality for other podcasts. I would say more but I genuinely can’t put into words how much Stephanie (her fiancé and Dan Dan) mean to me !

Disgusted and Disappointed
This last episode about Brandon was so upsetting. Stephanie continually dragged people in this story for misgendering Brandon, but completely glossed over the fact that he was literally sexually assaulting young girls. She was more concerned about being accused of saying anything transphobic that she completely diminished the predatory actions of the murder victim. If the victim was not trans, she would have never been such an apologist for their actions. Her attempts at being woke have proven to be performative and inconsistent. According to her, misgendering someone over 30 years ago when people understood gender identify WAY less than they do now is worse than lying to, manipulating and sexually assaulting young girls. I am so tired of this. I have noticed her constantly trying so hard to be “woke” that she ends up contradicting herself, but this episode was too much. I am really disgusted and disappointed.

WARNING THIS IS NOT YOUR TYPICAL TRUE CRIME PODCAST
This really is not your typical true crime podcast but I absolutely love it. I have never heard a true crime podcast that is so unforgiving in the details and opinions being shared but it’s kind of refreshing. This woman gets into the nitty gritty of every story and tells it how it happened without leaving out any details. There have even been episodes I had to turn off because of how explicit it is but I still love it. I feel like it makes you feel for the victims and family more because you know the real details of what happened to them and it feels more real.

Estranged
I’m a huge fan of Stephanie’s. I used to listen to this podcast every week. Over time, this podcast has just seemed disrespectful to the victims. I know that Stephanie works so hard to research her stories and attempts to be respectful to the victims, but going into graphic detail about assault and murders is not needed. This podcast is very very graphic. I began to feel like I was dishonoring the victims by listening. True crime can be a slippery slope. Many true crime podcasts go for the shock value and want to “fully present the facts of the case” but I really disagree with this approach. Stephanie, please just protect and respect the victims and their families.

Disclaimers
Just a suggestion. I personally don’t need disclaimers but for those who do I think it would be good to have them before each podcast. And for those don’t want a “spoiler” or whatever.. they can always skip ahead a few seconds. I don’t mind either way but Ik some people are triggered! Or even adding disclaimers to the description so they can make sure before listening! I love this podcast btw! Have listened and just started re listening because I was too lazy to wait for another one lol!

Too many r@pe stories
I used to love this show: Stephanie’s energetic story telling and her bf’s interjections and questions that are typically what I’m wondering are my favorite parts of this show. But now it seems she’s just choosing the most sensational, horrific stories that often don’t end in justice for the victims. I get that you need exciting/intriguing stories to get more listeners but PLEASE stop with the rap3 crimes!! Every other episode is involves, if not centers around, sex crimes and it’s really frustrating. If she donated to victim’s funds I might be more inclined to stay subscribed but for now I’ll just listen to the Baking a Murder/Mystery show.

Dangerous misinformation!
Stephanie, I hope you see this review. I usually enjoy your podcast. However, your most recent episode perpetuated some dangerous misinformation that I think you need to address. (The Influencer Deepfake episode). You most certainly CAN take antidepressants while breastfeeding. Most of them have little to no effect on breast milk. Also, breastfeeding should NOT be painful. With proper technique it should be comfortable for mom and baby. Obviously there might be a learning curve in the beginning, but women can seek out help from a lactation consultant or a doula. Please please please address these comments. I worry that a future mother may hear this and be dissuaded from breastfeeding or seeking medication for any postpartum depression or anxiety.

please stop with the baby voice
i work 45 hours a week and most of those hours i can use headphones so i listen to podcasts. i usually find a good podcast then listen to what they have already posted then go to another one. i counted and just the ones i scrolled through i listened to 30 episodes, and i just can’t do it anymore. she misses a lot of details in her episodes, but the baby voice did it for me. drived me literally insane. no, i’m not hating on just her voice. i’m hating on her baby voice. after listening to 30 episodes, you can clearly tell she has a real voice and a baby voice. she uses her baby voice A LOT in her episodes, and i don’t get it at all. we’re listening for the stories, not you trying to sound cute telling them. half of the specific things she says (like her made up dialogue) i’m thinking, where could she have possibly learned these things about the case? i feel like her episodes are her trying to fit as much gore and “entertaining” things into it as she can. “creamgelato” said some really true things as well!!

Perfect mix of humor + empathy
This is my favoriteeeeeeee podcast. She perfectly mixes humor with tons of empathy and respect for the victims. Her cases are wild and span multiple countries. I love the dynamic with her boyfriend bc unlike some other podcast with this format, it sounds genuine and his comments/questions make sense and I feel like “yeah, what he said!” Most are stories I’ve never heard before or even if I have, it’s told from a different perspective. Also, the “mini-episodes” be like 90min long - other podcasts could never.

First off I would like to say Stephanie and mr Mango, I LOVE YALL!! I’ve been a listener for a while. I loved listening while doing simple tasks around the house. Love listening
Watched Stephanie and Mr. mangobutt for years and always liked watching her talk about crime. Found out she has a podcast and have listened to each one every time I’m in the car. Also got my husband to listen as well. She is able to have listeners engage to the story. She makes you feel like you’re just listening to a friend tell you these cases. You can hear her personality through the phone and that’s one of the reasons I like her. Also like hearing her fiancé react as we are listening. She also talks about the killers perspective that we don’t get that much from others. I like how they also tell you what they think of the cases. I been listening to her Baking a mystery in YouTube and her Mukbangs at work where she talks about true crime and movies/shows and listen to rotten mango with my husband in the car.All in all we love the podcast and will continue listening.

Disappointed
I’ve been a fan of her content for years (before she even started doing true crime or conspiracy theories). Nowadays I regularly listen to her podcast whenever I have downtime. Her content is starting to get extremely repetitive. It might be caused by the fact that I listen to her so much, but I think it’s more because of the fact that she uses the same tone, same adjective, and same emotions to describe every single case on her channel. It seems like she has a formula and tweak everything in these cases to fit her narrative. Her expressing disgust for the murders, poking fun at the murders, and even holding a shaky tone while speaking about the victims — someone can edit those clips and apply them to every episodes and none of them would feel out of place. Even when she introduces the sources (always a true crime book), every single book is apparently the best book she’s read. It’s starting to get to a point where I’m questioning: Stephanie, are you deeply sympathetic to the victims and want to raise awareness or are you just monetizing sensationalized true crime cases? I am not saying the two are mutually exclusive, but for how many sponsorships these podcasts get, the balance seems off. I respect her for putting out so much content twice a week, but definitely not at the expense of sacrificing the respect that every victim of those cases deserve. There is so little care, so little effort, and so little authenticity to how these podcast are being produced. Listening to a book and summarizing it in a two hour long podcast is not doing adequate research. Describing an act as “depraved” and a case as “heartbreaking” in a shaky voice is not expressing sympathy. What you say and the emotions you claim to have, all seem incredibly performative. These observations are primarily motivated and triggered by one of the more recent podcast on the Rape of Nanjing. I don’t understand why you decided to cover such a complicated historical event. My only guess is that you found a relevant book and a Tiktok. Not discrediting the hard work they went through researching the book. But what have you done Stephanie? All you did was describing specific acts and crimes. What in the world does that do besides hooking your audience with gore if you do not address the aftermath at all? Have you taken any time at all to learn about the historical background, the general attitude, and aftermath of this massacre? You barely scraped the surface of the atrocities, did not include names of ANY of the generals in command responsible for this massacre, nor did you mention that IN THE PRESENT DAY, these very war criminals are buried under memorials in shrines and temples throughout Japan? Yes, rapists and murders worshipped in nationally celebrated temples where important Japanese politicians regularly donate to? You have successfully sectioned turned a genocide into a series of independent, non-related montage of depraved acts with no concern with the significance and implications of the war. How incredibly infuriating and disappointing. This episode made me reevaluate many other episodes where facts were misrepresented and sensationalized, and Stephanie repeatedly puts on a performative act of being sympathetic toward victims while at the same time monetizing tragedies. Again, not saying you cannot. But giving a book summary of a true crime novel is just disingenuous.

The dialogue is cringe
I listened to my first episode and was …confused. The weird use of (made up?) dialogue is strange. I’ve never heard a podcaster tell the story of a crime and create dialogue that didn’t actually happen. The episodes 200/201 about the special needs girl who was assaulted—the dialogue was so strange and forced. I found myself questioning if other things were just made up for sensationalism. “Sweet what’s wrong? Did someone hurt you at the park?” Weird stuff like that.

Best true crime podcast!!
Best true crime podcast out there!! The story telling, emotions, and commentary from Stephanie really are on another level. Being a true crime junkie we all know how repetitive listening to some cases can be, but Stephanie brings these cases to another level and has so many episodes on cases I had never even heard of. I’m so excited to see what comes next for Rotten Mango and Baking a Murder. I’ve listened to every episode of both RM and BAM, some more than once! A slob to a pro house Cleaner
I use to be a slob. Clothes piled up higher then the highest mountain on this planet. I didn’t barely have visitors do to dishes being crustified as mice scurried across the dirty plates to find some kind of leftovers. Cockroaches kept me up as they played the mariachi songs thinking they were in a band. A friend mentioned casually, “Have you ever heard of Rotten Mango?” I looked at her confused of course. Trust me, her podcast will change your life. I said ok, lemme check this mango rear end chick and see what it’s all about. I turned it on and my word my house was perfectly clean like as if someone came in to clean my the filth. Doing dishes was a fast as it went to the next chore with enthralling and amazing stories comforting me while doing the chores. You hate cleaning!? You hate cooking? Some kid is screaming in the background? Well turn your ears to stories told in a breathtaking ways of laughter and horror mixed with curiosity and stories never been told as such. Your life will change forever!

Great stories
The stories are great but the way they’re told is very convoluted. Most of the time I check to see if I’m still listening to the same episode. Jumping around from one character to the another. Randomly going into backstories without notice. The adlibbing is also a little annoying.

Phenomenal!!
Dang! The fact that this podcast doesn’t have more listeners Surprises me! Stephanie does such a great job narrating, and the comments from the man (I don’t know his name) just add to the feeling this podcast gives. When I’m bored and am in need of a good horror story with a hint of dark humor, this is where I go. And the name just always makes me laugh. I really recommend this one because it gives a good look at the dark side of our world, while keeping an interesting look on the people who cause the problems. It wouldn’t be fair not to say that this is currently my favorite podcast! -Ily

The only podcast I listen to
Okay okay okay I was never a fan of listening to podcast but Rotten Mango was the first where I actually can say “I listen to podcast” The only way I can concentrate at my work place with no phones allowed is listening to music (on my Raycons of course) or to Stephanie’s podcast I love that she memorizes every story’s plot line with every inch of details. Every episode never disappoints me in hooking up to listen to more. I came from her YouTube videos because the true crime stories here get very graphic. Also, I like Mr. mangobutt because when I don’t understand something he asks Stephanie something he doesn’t get and in a way I get answers too. Keep up the great work Steph can’t wait to buy your book once it comes out.

I love this podcast, steph has an amazing way of story telling, she’s the only podcaster that I can stand to listen too, her voice is calming, and her husbands reactions just kill me. There’s still a light tone to it and it kinda gives girl talk vibes. Absolute best show :)

Eh
Can be informative, but has been factually incorrect at times. The inserted sponsorships are excessive and lengthy, and also sometimes just strange… it’s weird to promote sex products in the middle of detailing brutal murders. On the opposite end, it’s tiresome to hear her giggle at words like “penis”. They often joke in ways that seem unnecessary and inappropriate for the content. She does not put any effort into saying foreign names correctly and instead will call them something else. The podcast does do a good job of delving into the whole history of the killer(s) from childhood to conviction and she is a really compelling storyteller at times.

Love this podcast
But can you please start adding the names of the people you’re covering in your episode descriptions? Sometimes I want to look up the people and learn more about them, but if you use American names for Asian people it’s hard to do that. Thanks! Keep doing amazing work in love it!

Love the research
Stephanie’s library card must be maxed out. All of the books she reads on these cases are way more than other podcaster’s research and it shows. On episode 194/skin suit Stephanie said something so important. She said the diagnosis of bipolar disorder didn’t cause the person to kill. As someone with bipolar, I really appreciate that. I hate to hear when folks talk about someone’s mental illness in relation to their crimes. For us non murdering people with mental illness , it’s refreshing to hear. Keep up the good work!

Skin to Skin
First I will stay I love this podcast so much! Second just wanted to comment about the skin to skin charge at the hospital. They charge this for women who have just had C-sections and it is for the extra nurse that has to be there because a woman is shaky and unstable, not for the parent to hold their baby❤️

Disappointing
I appreciate the coverage of Asian stories but I can’t stand it when she calls people “Sam” or “Lianne” instead of trying to learn their real names. It’s NOT that hard especially if you’re doing all this research beforehand to put these stories together. Happens in just about all the episodes. Her fiancé even corrects her on Chinese names but it goes over her head and she gives them a completely different name. Annoying to reduce everyone’s identify to something more palatable just out of convenience. Podcast overall is just okay. Some stories are harder to follow than others.

Amazing podcast
This is one of the best places to go for true crime. The way she tells the story is just amazing. I’ve listened to some of the cases she’s covered and compared them to the way that others have covered the same cases and she just adds in so much more detail and back story to them. I really enjoy this podcast and would recommend it to anyone else who loves true crime.

Amazing 11/10
Stephanie is the type of person that when she talks you just get sucked into anything she’s saying. She’s always amazes me on how she tells stories, and you can tell she really researches on every story she tells. I’ve been watching her ever since she started YouTube and now her podcast! Definitely one of the best out there!! I am a lash tech and I always need something to listen to while I’m working on clients and this is the best most in depth podcast.

Great storytelling ! Fav podcast
I recently got into podcasts some months ago and I’ve listened to almost every single episode she has and have been venturing into other true crime podcasts, but it’s so hard to find any I like as much as hers. Her storytelling is a 10/10 and I personally like the discussions and conversations she has on the topics that she’s discussing. It never gets too long, or too drawn out or too annoying, it just makes her feel relatable. I like how she does the deep dives into the childhood and I also love how she portrays her emotions over the podcast. There have been many episodes where I cried due to the information being presented, or just hearing Stephanie struggle to hold back tears herself. You guys are doing a great job, there truly are not many podcasts like this one !

Sensationalized poor reporting
I went into this podcast looking for more information on Debhani Escobars case and was so disgusted by the reporting or lack thereof that I had to turn it off. The facts are deeply skewed towards sensationalization which is so disappointing because this case is already mysterious enough. It didn’t need to be pumped up. But instead they chose to misrepresent facts not the weirdest way. It made me not want to listen to any other cases by this host, as now I cannot trust that they are factually representing anything. I don’t know if this is because the news sources weren’t in English and they didn’t bother to appropriately translate, or if it was just lazy but it was sickening. Hard pass on this show. Stick to more reputable less sensationalized real reporting.

Informative episode but not what I came for
I was trying to learn more about Debanhi Escobar’s case and when I saw this episode title I assumed it would be about her. The episode had nothing to do with her and it took an hour into the episode (with 16 minutes left) to even mention her case, with another person’s completely unrelated case talked about at length and in great detail for the entire first hour. With that amount of time spent, the other person whose name was not mentioned in the episode title deserved for her name to be in the title of the episode. The episode was informative but very misleading and I feel like I wasted an hour trying to get to what I actually wanted to hear, which lasted 16 minutes. Please title your episodes correctly

The podcast has been on a decline lately
Love you Steph, but here are some points yiu should consider - Don't talk too much about the medical part of a crime ( It's annoying to listen to as a Dr. since it's obvious you're not very familiar with the topic and keep calling everything 'trauma, not good, or clearly not a good sign' ) - Stop rambling, going on tangents, and making unnecessary commentaries for 15+ mins: it makes the audience lose interest (Been listening since you launched rotten mango)

Wish I liked it
The episode descriptions sounded so interesting, but unfortunately I had to bail after 2 episodes. The host is rambling, goes off on loosely related tangents, jumps around in time with no warning, talks way too fast, and doesn’t know how to introduce or tell a story in a cohesive or interesting way. This podcast would benefit from a show writer because it does have potential (the host’s voice is fine aside from the speed, I didn’t see an issue with the tone like some others commented on), but is currently very difficult to follow & listen to.

Way too happy sounding talking about CP
First episode I ever tried listening to was Daisy’s destruction. The host sounds so pumped and excited to talk about such a nauseating topic. She makes sounds and her tone is way too lighthearted when discussing this. Plus her high voice is at such a high pitch that it’s grating. I know she can’t help that specifically but sorry Stephanie, I tried.

love this show but getting confused
i love this show and I’ve listened to it since Stephanie launched it in 2020 but lately the episodes have just felt…different (in a bad way). I get you eventually run out of cases to talk about but it’s rly distracting when she gets into random 30 min tangents about marginally related stuff (like the life of the ultra wealthy in the cartier killer case???). I’d rather have shorter episodes just discussing the facts than these tangents </3

Choose this true crime podcast
In the extensive world of true crime podcasts, this one is absolutely in the top 5 if not top 3. Stephanie is a down to earth (if slightly excitable) host and her fiancé makes an amazing audience participant, asking the questions and working out the mystery a long with us as Stephanie masterfully recounts well researched stories. I’ve been listening since the first episode and the consistency in uploads and podcast quality is insane. If you’re looking for a new true crime podcast after listening to all the others, or a good way to get into true crime, you’re in the right place.

Confused about direction
I love her so much but it seems like both her podcast and YouTube but confused on where it is going. I don’t even watch her YouTube anymore because it’s all random topic I can’t remember the last true crime related video she uploaded. On her pod she does cases but does not go into good detail at all. Talks about other things for 30 mins then gets into the actual case. I love her I’m just not sure I’m enjoying it anymore. Please do your old podcast and videos. Go into detail and do crazy cases.

Cringe host
Pros: interesting cases Cons: the made-up dialogue and downright cringe terrible acting/delivery, her valley girl way of speaking. She sounds like a middle schooler gossiping, not providing facts. Also, host rarely provides dates for the cases. In the recent episode Bear Cave, in over an hour, in a case that spanned years, she literally never mentioned a single year or date, which made it hard to follow. Do better. You know when it’s really obvious that someone is ‘acting’? That is this incredibly annoying host who apparently wants so badly to be an actress (even though she’s terrible). She sounds like a student auditioning for a school play the whole of each episode, especially with the ridiculous made-up dialogue (easily the worst part of this podcast). There are better true crime podcasts.

Love you, please be more unbiased though
I have been listening to this show since 2020. I love Stephanie’s bubbly energy and the overall energy of the light hearted approach to true crime that Stephanie and Mr. Mango Butt take. There is a lot of research and effort put into each episode and it’s much appreciated. My only dislike is that it can be a bit biased at times. Whenever there’s a point of view up for discussion related to someone involved in a case (not necessarily directly involved in the crime) that isn’t malicious, but isn’t something that Stephanie personally agree’s with, she belittles it (not blatantly however). She trivializes it in a way that makes it come off as stupid just because she doesn’t agree with that point of view. Not only is that dangerous but it’s disrespectful. You can respectfully express someone’s point of view in a situation without relaying it in a condescending way because you think it’s stupid. Especially when something she says very often is “I don’t mean to offend anybody”. Love her, Mr. Mango Butt, and the show dearly though. Just thought the sometimes overly biased commentary on someone else’s point of view was worth pointing out.

I won’t listen anymore
I will not be listening to this podcast anymore. It was fine until she said something that sums up all the people claiming to be victims. She said, I grew up in Georgia and I loved it, I never experienced any kind of racism or thought it was a racist place until I took a racism in America class and they told me Georgia was racist now I can’t believe it a racist place. I just like the majority of Americans cannot stand this “woke” mentality and will not support it.

Hooked!
Rotten Mango was recommended by my niece when my husband and I were on a road trip because you know….road trips can cause a driver to fall asleep behind the wheel. Road trips or not, I still continue to listen to Ms. Su’s true crime stories. Her voice captures my attention and if anyone in as much interrupts my “listening session” with Stephanie, I have to start all over. She. Is. That. Good!!!! I highly recommend this podcast to those who are into this type of genre. Stephanie is genuine, sincere, and sympathetic towards the victims she talks about; completely unapologetic about injustices that stigmatizes our society, though not pronounced in her stories; but above all, she advocates for victims who no longer have a voice. As far as I know, Stephanie Su is able to that job.

Ghost girls episode
Hey Stephanie! I was listening to your recent episode Ghost Girls the other day, and it really peaked my in interest when you said the USRC plant was located in orange NJ. I was immediately sucked in because I had moved to orange/west orange border a few years ago. I was curious where it would have been located. When I got home I was talking to my fiancé about the episode and then told him at the end the plant was located here in Orange. So he laughs and says maybe that’s why we’re always sick. Back story we have a running joke that our house is making us sick because we never get sick but once we moved to this house we are always sick. I start looking up the USRC and the first address pops up I zoom and yelled holy S**t that’s where our house is. As I’m now down the rabbit hole, I keep looking just to make sure this is the correct address and it’s actually directly across the street. So close that I could barely throw a rock and it would land on the property. Even more interesting is now it’s a children's park. Now my fiancé is convinced this has something to with us always being sick! Thanks for the episode it’s so crazy to think I never heard of this, being from Jersey and living across the street from where all this took place!

I really do love Stephanie’s storytelling and variety of cases that she covers. However, I would love if she including dates or time frame in which the cases take place. Also, I feel that using someone’s real name is very important. Your podcast is amazing! I love how you go into details and talk about the why’s when an action is taken or go through and explain some history relevant to the story. It always makes for a good (as in how you explain, not the events themselves) retelling! I also like that your fiancé, maybe husband by now, acts as the sort of audience. He asks things I would want to know if I were there with you. I found this podcast maybe a couple weeks ago, and since then I’ve been listening to at least an episode every day. So annoying
I couldn’t even get through one episode. The host sounds like a valley girl retelling a story to her friends. She even mimics dialogue as if the criminals and victims are characters in a badly written crime drama. It’s awful. However, there are no ads and no time-wasting convos during the episode, which is nice so I give it 2 stars.

She’s good BUT……
She’s great at storytelling, BUT these are real cases on real people. I find it disrespectful when she’s making up dialogue for the story (like that’s not what was said don’t make up stuff). She tries to pronounce names disrespectfully, she should have learned to pronounce before recording. Remember these are real victims, real people. Talking like it’s high school gossip, giggling at certain parts of the story, and not taking these cases seriously only shows her not being genuine and sincere when sharing. I hope she takes all these reviews into consideration because she really is a good story teller. Hey,If you want to do dialogue and have fun maybe look into audiobooks storytelling or reenactments on fictional stories, you would be really good at it.

I wanted to keep listening, but…
I became uncomfortable. I understand nervous laughter and off topic ‘quirky’ dialogue, but when it comes to a person’s TRUE story of misfortune it is way out of line. They try to be as respectful as possible, but they lack tact. I love Stephanie’s storytelling, she is gifted in that, but this left me feeling super icky.

Came from baking a mystery
I came from baking a mystery which btw, one of my favorites, but was hoping that she would cover actual true crime not just books and movies not even realizing that this is the podcast for me. I understand that some people dislike how she bakes while telling the story, I personally am used to it, and think it sets it apart from other podcasts, and to all the people reviewing it negatively, If you have nothing kind to say, don’t say it. Keep being yourself we love you!

My fave narrators
Every episode is so engaging and they deep dive into each case! They also do a lot of work translating cases outside of the US which I might have never heard about otherwise. I would give an extra 5 stars for consistency as someone who works from home and listens to a lot of podcast I can always count on Rotten Mango!

I LOVE HOW STEPHANIE GETS STRAIGHT TO THE POINT
I listen to many podcasters and all of them always talk about themselves and how their week was for 5 minutes straight which irritates me, like yes Angela you spend time with your husband but you also told us that last week so don’t go into rant for 5 minutes 🙄 I have a short attention spam and I lose interest too quickly but I have been listening to you since you started June 2020 and before your podcast I used to watch you on your two channels. I’ve started to listen to you when I was 12-13 now I’m 16 so i can proudly say you raised me and you have a big part in my teenage years I hope I can still listen to you even when I’m 30

I love this podcast
Okay , so Ik a lot of ppl say she’s a bit scattered in her storytelling, but ! As someone with adhd I can’t help but love how she tells the stories , she keeps it interesting and funny while also being really detailed, I love how long they are , I feel like I’m just listening to a friend on ft telling Me a story . I had been watching her mukbang channel for a while and I was so excited when I found her podcast!! I can honestly say I’ve listened to every episode at least 2 times lol she’s awesome and she can keep my interest the whole 2+hrs which again to someone with Adhd that’s impressive lol . Personally I don’t think it’s hard to keep up with her , I like to listen to her at work and I can multitask pretty well while keeping up with her ! Love y’all Stephanie and Stephiancé <3

Stephanie Soo is a force of nature.
Stephanie Soo is an impressive woman. The depths she research’s for each episode, releasing 1.5 (full plus mini) a week on just this podcast alone. Then she has her baking a murder podcast, her YouTube mukbang and I imagine even more content. — the amount of content she puts out, while still researching throughly for each episode is awe inspiring. She’s an animated story teller and if for some reason you don’t like her personality move along. (Very unsure why any person feels the need to leave a review insulting her personality. But she has very few negatives reviews anyways.

I do really love the show
I follow Stephanie on everything and I use to love this show very much but honestly the book reviews and the much more random episodes can’t say I love at all but I just wish the book ones and stuff would stay on a different channel or podcast caz it’s not the same as her old ones…. Which makes me sad because I would listen to them over and over again and I love Stephanie side comments w her husband mr mangobutt

Changed over time, but still amazing!
I started listening to this podcast last year and binged all the way to current. I really LOVED the first few episodes as she was uncensored with details and the stories were truly terrifying!! I feel like I’ve been through her on her journey, she moved a few times, had two nieces, love the relationship she and her fiancé have! As of lately, she’s a little more censored and has a different style of telling stories, dropping you in the middle then working back and forward, but she’s still amazing!! Waiting for merch that says “there’s a really good book”, “skedaddle”, and other cute/funny phrases she uses. Definitely valley girl but it’s hard not to love her! Edit: it’s hard to keep up because she tells like three (relating) different stories an then tried to tie it at end but hard to keep up if you’re listening to it on the background while doing other things

Entertaining and annoying
I read a lot of the reviews and then decided to post one of my own. It is true if you’re over 24 it’s hard to listen to. It is true the podcast skips a lot and restarts and it’s annoying. It is true she giggles too much and goes way off track. I’ve listened to a ton of episodes and it’s very entertaining if you can ignore all of these things… it is a great listen. However the newer episodes that are coming out, she’s baking during them! .I don’t want to listen to you tell a true crime story and listen to you bake cookies and cake. Even my 10-year-old without me saying anything told me how annoying it was. If you’re gonna tell a story just tell a story. Don’t try to now add a niche to it. That’s annoying and awful. It was already hard to stay engaged but the is just too much. I do enjoy your show so I hope you take this as constructive criticism.

The made up dialogue ruins it
I want to like this podcast so badly because she does cover unique and interesting cases. However, the way the host makes up dialogue drives me insane and it really takes away from the credibility of her storytelling. She straight makes up conversations between people that did not happen and are total speculation. I have to fast forward through too much of the episodes to actually enjoy it.

Things to improve
Tbh this podcast reminds me of when I was in high school and had an essay due the next day I didn’t prepare for so I base the whole essay on one source and include a bunch of irrelevant information because I’m trying to meet the page limit. The stories are good. She’s good at telling stories but the research/factual aspect is really lacking. Also all of the disclaimers are so annoying. Makes me think she doesn’t actually believe the things she disclaims and it just trying to avoid getting criticism.

So good!
I love this podcast, and I love the way she adds a little bit of laughter to her episodes. I listen to this with my friends and I find the way she formats her discussions is preferable to other true crime podcasts I’ve listened to. She puts so much effort into each case, between the research, the recording and the editing, I don’t know how she has time to take for herself. I highly recommend this podcast to anyone looking for a true crime podcast, and I hope others enjoy this podcast just as much as I do.

Best available despite pitfalls
I’ve been listening to this podcast for awhile and still like it. I think it’s one of the best true crime podcasts out there. She seems to really put a lot of effort into her research. However, the transitions into her advertisements are HORRIBLE because they are non existent. I spend 15 seconds so confused before I realize it’s an ad. Also, be prepared to want to cut your ear drums out when you listen to her laugh. Both her and her fiancés voice are so annoying. If you’re over 24 years old with half a brain cell, be prepared to roll your eyes A LOT at how they both talk.

Good with one issue!
I like this podcast overall and I’ve listened to a bunch of episodes! Stephanie does a great job making these cases interesting and providing a ton of details worth our overdoing it. The only problem I have with it is that, if a case is in an eastern country, she changes names to Western names. It feels really disrespectful to rename people for the sake of a podcast.
WokeDoesntEqualBetter

Okay, Stephanie, we get it. You’re woke.
I used to really enjoy the storytelling in this podcast but once you hit a certain point it’s unbearably hard to ignore the preachiness and holier than thou attitude given off by Stephanie Soo. If you’re looking for objectivity and neutrality towards political ideologies other than her own, this isn’t the podcast. She clearly turns her nose up at anyone who isn’t ALLLL the way to the left. It distracts from the cases she covers because she can’t stop claiming the moral high ground and ironically putting people down for simply not being “woke” enough. She’s literally used that word as if it’s some kind of badge of honor that we should all strive for. It’s just so…self indulgent and out of touch. I keep trying the podcast hoping she’ll go back to being enjoyable to listen to and sometimes she does but it’s very hit or miss. I never write reviews but it’s just so disappointing entertainment can’t be just that.

I wasn’t aware who Stephanie Soo was before listen to Rotten Mango. Once I discovered her content, I could no longer support this show. I did not know she was doing mukbang-style True Crime story telling. I find this style to be disrespectful and diminish the seriousness of these stories. I do think Soo is a good story teller but I do wish the style of storytelling would be treated with more sensitivity

Was such a great podcast.
Finding a good listen that doesn’t get political is impossible now. I don’t have Spotify, so don’t listen to Joe Rogan. But in a recent episode she brought up his podcast which added no substance to the episode. Then after she had to make it abundantly clear that she does not endorse his show. Like why does it matter? Have some decency
I just can’t wrap my head around on how Stephanie can flawlessly repeat Korean phrases and names of locations but as soon as there’s a case that takes place outside an English speaking country it’s just “sooo hard to pronounce these people’s names correctly wah wahhh”, seriously it takes 10 seconds to learn how to say someone’s name. God, imagine dying a gruesome death and your own name can’t even rest in peace because some girl took more time thinking of an american name for you than your actual one.

NOT investigate journalism & never claimed to be
I see some reviewers complaining about this podcast’s use of existing case information/ the research of professional reporters. This is NOT an investigative journalism podcast and it never claimed to be. If you want to learn about these cases straight from the source, please do your own research or check out the original sources Stephanie sites at the beginning of the episode. We are here to listen to a dramatic re-telling of a case, not hear an expert’s findings. Keep up the great story telling, Stephanie!

Love this podcast
I’ve been watching Stephanie for years now and she’s truly entertaining, all her YouTube videos with her family are so funny. What I don’t understand though is how people are attacking her in comment sections. How else do you think she’s going to get her notes, obviously she gets them from journalist and writers because that’s what’s on the internet with all the information about a case. She literally puts where she got her info from and credits that person so therefore it’s not stealing. I’m not understanding how people saying it’s stealing. We all did the same thing in school when we had to write reports and things like that. She’s not passing nothing off as her own. She can’t make a REAL CASE into her own because she can get in trouble for that or possibly sued for saying things that aren’t true so she ofc has to say the info that she read. That’s also why she always says “ allegedly “ all true crime podcasts are pretty much like this. If you watch or listen to her podcasts on books and movies then yea she skips a few scenes or rewords some stuff but that’s cuz she can do that for those but not a real life case

Love This Bits!
I started listening to True Crime Podcast this past January and I accidentally landed on Stephanie’s page. Now I have been listening to her older podcast and you can see the difference of she has grown and changed her podcast to become even better. Because of her podcast I now watch her YouTube videos. I’ve been listening to her so much I’m start to incorporate some of her catch phrases into my everyday language (bits, what the fork, skirt skirt-when someone is driving) One thing I want to say is and I think she is doing it now, is how segues into a advertisement need to have some sort of interlude so we can distinguish between the story and the advertisement.

Plagiarism and rip off
How can she put out this podcast at this frequency? By stealing others’ work. Investigative journalism that takes years of work-she reads verbatim and only credits in the links at the end. THIS IS NOT HER WORK. Too many podcasters are ripping off the work of others.

Suggestion
I’ve been a loyal listener for a few months now and I absolutely love your podcast! However I really think there should be a small pause between telling the story and then going into an ad. It’s a little difficult when you’re in the middle of explaining a horrific case, and suddenly it’s a very happy light hearted ad. Even a simple badabing badaboom as a transition would be a bit more…delicate? Gentle? Regardless, it’s a wonderful show!

Please Respect Non-English Names
I’ll start with saying that I’m a pretty avid true crime podcast listener, and I’ve gone thru nearly every episode of Rotten mango. I think Stephanie and her fiancé are very sweet, they work really hard to provide consistent content and I’m definitely not going to stop listening. However, while there’s no denying that some true crime shows have an element of entertainment, I honestly don’t feel like many cross the line to becoming disrespectful. After listening to the recent episode, I have to say that Rotten mango crosses that line sometimes. It’s really distasteful that nearly any time Stephanie covers a case that takes place in a non-English speaking country, she replaces the actual names from that culture to American names like “Glenn” and “Tracy”. Not even the victim’s names are left intact which is just so disrespectful. As much as I don’t want to think that it’s her intention, it really comes off as wanting to easily tell a “story” for entertainment and not truly care about spreading awareness for the crimes and victims. And this is on top of the blatant erasure of names from other cultures. She mostly does this with Asian names, which makes no sense to me because she’s Korean and her fiancé is Chinese..? How many times have Asians been told or “recommended” to change their name because it was too hard for Westerners to learn? Even if she doesn’t pronounce everything perfectly, I feel like calling the victims by their name is the most basic level of respect that they deserve. I hope this doesn’t come off too harsh but I really hope it’s addressed soon. Stephanie seems really sweet, and I don’t intend this as hate or anything- just a piece of constructive criticism. I enjoy most aspects of the show, and most things that I don’t like can be chalked up to personal taste but this needed to be mentioned.

Talented podcaster
This is my favorite true crime podcast. Stephanie gives each story a wholistic approach, considering the killer’s background (why?), the victim’s story (who?), and the journey of the crimes being investigated and prosecuted (how?). And the whole time jam-packed with facts and entertaining commentary. She’s such a talented story teller. And her fiancé is so sweet and such a good listener.

You don’t know what those women were thinking Get real. I always think when people think others are racist it’s because that’s how they really feel. Of course people were going to care about Tampa she had 6 kids.

I LOVE YOU TWO
You two make talking about crime so interesting and enjoyable at the same time (not in a murderer kind if way). I do everything with you talking in the background. I’m so happy I found your podcast and don’t want there to every be an end. I thank you and your fiancé for also getting me out of my comfort zone. I love true crime, but I hate the thought of dying. Again, thank you for existing you wonderful human❤️❤️

The best podcast (in my opinion)
I have been keeping up with the stories on youtube, but I recently got into just hearing them and the experience is amazing. Your story telling methods are intriguing and entertaining, and the way you dive into detail and give your own perspective is astonishing. Although the visuals do add an extra flair, your explanations and fiancé’s commentary are the best part. I am a huge reader, and I love all genres, but now I have a thing for true crime, and I thank you for that. This podcast deserves 100 stars, not just five<3

Love the story telling!
I may be a little biased because I watch Stephanie on youtube, and absolutely loved her scary story/true crime mukbangs. I was so excited to hear she made a podcast so I can listen to it at work. The show itself is really good, I like the topics and the background on the cases. Stephanie’s energy is real and refreshing as opposed to the typical “spooky low voice”, most generic true crime podcasters use. I also have Auditory Processing Disorder caused by my ADHD and I can hear Stephanie clearly. I can’t wait to hear the next episode!

I cannot with the voice
I just can’t get over the valley girl inflections it is so distracting. It’s not necessarily the voice, more the style of speech. I just cannot. I suppose maybe that is my problem but just being honest. I was really looking forward to this podcast but it’s impossible to pay attention when I am constantly being distracted.

Of true crime podcasts, good— but not the best.
I love Stephanie and her fiancé. Her YouTube channel is what got me hooked onto true crime all those years ago, so they will always have a special place in my heart. Through her YouTube channel, I was introduced to her podcast, and as a diehard fan, I was itching to get more Stephanie Soo content wherever it was available. Flash forward to 2022, podcasts are now my absolute favorite pastime. I listen to them on long drives, at the gym, during meals if I’m eating by myself, and they’ve even become an integral part of my bedtime ritual. Stephanie posts 2 episodes per week, which is very good, not even including the Baking a Mystery (Murder?) podcast which I also love. But with my newfound podcast obsession, I needed more, which led me to a discover whole array of other true crime podcasters and hosts which I’ve just fallen in love with. Now, don’t get it twisted, Stephanie does an incredible job researching these cases and putting on a fantastic show— but when comparing this podcast to others, I’ve noticed some things in other podcasts that I’m missing when I listen to Rotten Mango. For starters, banter/back and forth. When listening to the other podcasts I support, the hosts will occasionally pop a question or chime in with an interest point or witty banter that this podcast seems to lack. I LOVED the podcast on the case about the Chinese exchange student who was so unjustly taken from this world because Stephanie’s fiancé spoke more than I’d ever heard him speak before. That episode had such good host-to-host chemistry because they both had their own thoughts and opinions about the case and relevant information that made the podcast super entertaining. It was, in my opinion, one of the best episodes they’ve ever put out for that reason alone. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Secondly, the episodes are extremely informative and concise, but it feels like so much doom and gloom the entire way through. I understand that the topics are not meant to be funny, and that some things shouldn’t be joked about, but even the occasional dig at a horrific serial killer or a dry comical moment can make true crime so much more palatable without disrespecting the victims or their stories. Compared to other podcasts where it feels like the hosts are telling us a story, this podcast can sometimes feel like a synopsis to a novel. And lastly, perhaps the pickiest of my points, sound effects. I think there used to be a theme song/sound effects before ads, but lately Stephanie will be describing a case and it will go into an ad read without any indication. Not only is it quite jarring to go straight from vicious murder to “buy this service!” But I’ll sometimes get completely lost if I’m not paying close attention and immediately recognize the change of pace. Other great podcasts will typically have a jingle or something before an ad read which really help me understand that we are taking a break. Just something to consider. I don’t want this to seem like I’m being picky or judging Stephanie and her fiancé for the way they do things, again I’m a huge fan and will continue to support her in all of her endeavors, but in comparison to other podcasts I’ve come to love, Rotten Mango is beginning to lag behind. I once gave this podcast 5 stars when it was the only one I knew, but if I’m being completely honest, I would give it 3 now that I have a better understanding of true crime podcast standards. That being said, I’m going to give it 4 starts only because Stephanie and her work have a special place in my heart.

So good!
I literally listen to this everyday. I found this late so I'm binging all the back episodes. Very entertaining. It’s like talking to a friend for an hour everyday. I love true crime but I find it very difficult to listen to many podcasters. So many are overdramatic or don’t do their research. She does a very good job of researching her topic and delivering it in a way that makes it easy to follow all the moving parts of the case. And her boyfriend’s reactions are great and different. He asks great questions and adds a storytelling/conversational vibe that really improves the overall tone. I love it so much!

You need to listen to this podcast!
I been watching Stephanie on YouTube and switched here for when I have to do something while still listening and it is so entertaining. Stephanie makes the crimes or story’s feel and seem real so that we can experience the actions they did or what happened in the story. Stephanie also puts so much detail into the story’s. What I like a lot about this podcast is that Stephanie just is such a good storyteller and brings the crimes to life. But anyways, I recommend this podcast if you like true crimes with so much detail, and a little comedy there.

My absolute favorite true crime podcast. I love how she not only tells us so much about the perpetrators upbringing but also so much on the victims upbringings and what kind of people they were. You can tell how much effort and research goes into every episode. You seriously won’t find a more in-depth podcast. I can’t get enough of Stephanie Soo. Her youtube mukbangs are just as great. How didn’t I know of this podcast before?!
Definitely a new favorite. She makes it entertaining PLUS she deeps dives into every case more than any other popular true crime podcasts I usually listen to. It definitely seems like there’s a lot of research going into each episode. And I absolutely love the feedback from the fiancé! His “whhhaaatttt?!?!” reactions are the best and is what’s missing from solo podcasters. She has a way of making really hard to listen to stories so much more consumable and gives you a better ability to compartmentalize (which is what you need to listen to try crime.)

My new favorite podcast!
I just discovered this podcast! And I’ve binged! What I like best about this podcast is how Stephanie is candid! I’m sure it takes a lot to make a podcast but Stephanie and her partner both occasionally mispronounce words and are less polished than some other podcasters. It’s probably due to their youth but I think Stephanie does a great in-depth thorough job. I enjoy the lighthearted approach Stephanie takes on such serious at times gruesome cases. Definitely recommend this podcast!

Not An Easy Listen
The stories she tells are very interesting cases, but her researching falls very short. When the podcast is charting alongside LPOTL, Morbid and MFM, the research needs to reflect that. I cannot stand how she constantly says “Right?” I wanted to like this podcast but I literally found myself mesmerized and counting every “Right?” from her and “Uh Huh” from her cohost. Hate that because the cases are very interesting and I want to listen. I just can’t.

3 stars for the international cases
I really am sick of the “humor & crime” podcasts that seem to dominate the true crime pod space, and wanted to give this a chance. I gave up on about the 10th episode when Stephanie continued to refer to an erection as a “bon-bon”. Not cute, just slightly annoying but more so distracting from the content. Couldn’t make it through another 1.5 hrs of that. The host tells the stories with sensationalism, which may suit some just not me. And some of the giggling and comments seem off color given the content - but again, I know some people like this when listening to horrible stories. I just don’t. I’m leaving 3 stars because there were international cases that otherwise are flatly ignored by most US-based podcasters. Kudos to Stephanie for researching cases beyond the US border. On a side note, I actually like her fiancé/co-host - he asks good, serious questions and makes it more tolerable.

Great but room for improvement.
I really enjoy the podcast, the cases are well detailed. I actually prefer how fast she talks, unlike others. Although I really could do without the hosts personal opinions and biases that get in the way. She often interjects what she thinks about something, and states it as fact. She is much easier and softer when the criminal is a women. I understand the cool thing is “being woke” but it’s a huge turn off and probably not good for business in the long run.

One of the best comedy true crime podcast!
I read some people believe she pays for her reviews. I’m one of those people who don’t. Heck sign me up for that job! Stephanie does a great job weaving these stories together. She not only tells stories I’ve never heard before (which is rare) but she also tells stories we’ve all heard in a very new and interesting way. She’s not afraid to address the dark subjects. I like shows like Sword and Scale and Obscura for telling dark stories but sometimes the deep male voices, and 911 calls and audio can be a bit much. I want to listen to dark stories without so much dread. I like that Stephanie can keep it light but also showing the seriousness of the crime and also respect for the victims. She’s a doll. I adore her and her fiancé. I hope they stay around for a long time. I look forward to her show every Wednesday!!

I think the host reads and absorbs every comment made because having listened to every episode, beginning to end, it’s clear she’s tried to consciously make the changes these reviews have mentioned. Not very professional
Listened to this podcast to hear a story of someone I knew who was murdered and wanted to hear someone else’s view. I was a little offended by some of her casual laughs and jokes. Not something a family member and friend would like to hear. For us it’s a serious and sad subject and I think it’s more pure laughs and entertainment for Stephanie.

Great show but there’s a woman problem.
So, I want to start by saying I just started listening and it is an awesome show. I have been making my way through the catalog and really enjoying the content during my long commute. However, there is one small problem. As trivial as it may seem, the host Stephanie says ‘woman’ when she means to say ‘women’. When I started listening I was able to ignore it but it literally happens in every episode and it went from being a minor annoyance to being as distracting as somebody chewing with their mouth open during dinner. It just takes me out of it. My intention here is not to discourage others from listening, hence my 5 stars but to hopefully spark a slight change.

Great story-telling
Legitimately, this is one of my favorite podcasts, and I listen to a LOT of podcasts. Stephanie is a masterful storyteller who magically keeps things lighthearted and interesting, considering the subject matter. Her co-host adds just the right amount of “what?!?” To keep things relatable and grounded. Even stories I’ve heard from other casts gain a new perspective with this one. I find myself gobbling up each new episode immediately after they’re released, and have listened to older ones over again after some time. A+!

New Listener
Recently discovered Rotten Mango. Absolutely one of the best true crime podcasts available on the web right now because we get exactly what we came for—the dark, the unsettling, the uncomfortable. The host is a gifted story teller able to recreate vivid crime scenes in a way that comes close to the line but never crosses it. Only downside is her fiancé/cohost. He brings absolutely nothing to the experience. His constant need for clarification disrupts the story telling process and pulls the listener out of the experience.

Great podcast
I love l the podcast and would give 5 stars if it weren’t for one detail. I wish Stephanie would set the scene a little better. I always find myself having to google when/where the crime took place to better understand the circumstances & time period. She does occasionally mention the year, but more often than not, I have to look it up. Otherwise, love it.

Simply the best 👁👄👁👌
This was recommended to me when I was in 7th grade by my best friend. I listened to it and I ended up loving it. Nowadays that I’m in 8th grade, I listen to it more often and I find these story’s so crazy and intriguing and the detail that goes into it is spectacular 👌in math class they let us listen to music once when we had a sub. I sit next to my other friend who also loves true crime. I told him if he wanted to listen to one with me and that the one I was on was really good. He instantly fell in love and is always wanting to listen to more. At night sometimes I listen to these to help me sleep and somehow it works at times it depends because I slept through some 😀 but it is what it is ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The podcast overall is amazing and since today is Sunday I’m really looking forward to see what the next one is ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

Worth the Listen
As someone who binges on true crime 9 hours a day at work, I was looking for a new podcast to fill my time and I wondered upon “Rotten.” I love the way the crimes are told. I always love when some episodes are crimes I have never heard of because it is rare that I listen to a new case that some other TC pod hasn’t covered. Even the ones I have heard are made more interesting with Stephanie’s narration, I love the conversations she has with her fiancé, such a great podcast.

- #265: University Students Abducted To Be GIFTED To A Politician To Be Gang Raped| Murders of Eileen Sarmenta and Allan GomezThey say a dead body smells like rotting meat - but with a thick, syrupy, sweet undertone. It’s the sweet part that makes most people want to vomit. But these days heavy chemicals are used in morgues to neutralize those smells - but working in a morgue is far from easy. The students at the University of the Philippines sacrificed partying on the weekends to work at the University hospital - inside the morgue. One day, the students curiously watched as police officers ran into the morgue. They had two bodies covered in white sheets. They warned the students - it was gruesome, bloody, and one victim had evidence of being assaulted and tortured by at least a few killers. The students held their breath as they peeled back the sheet. They stood in horror to see their friends from college laying on the cold steel tables. This case would lead to the vanishing of a police officer, 7 high profile killers being thrown in jail with a combined sentence of nearly 2,000 years, and even the President getting involved.
