Let's start this next segment off with this post from a good friend conundrum. Jimmy, what do you think about this? I love it. I love it. You're so hot. I don't know what it is. Even though that even though the proportions are whacked it, I don't know, maybe there's just something about it. That just screams. That thing is cool.
I don't know. I love it. I love it. This is not rubianes rendering. This is somebody's rendering of what they would like to see.
Yeah, but it's freaking cool. Yeah.
Skylar. Yeah, so I think that the concept and being able to use the van platform as an adventure. Band is a phenomenal idea. I feel like that is a huge gap in the current market and something that is becoming more popular and more mainstream as people can work remotely and go on adventures and not be tied to a specific place to live in specific place to work. So I think that's amazing from I giggled it this. But from a kind of text backs perspective, Motor Trend said that, it might be up to 1200 horsepower and 1200 pound-feet of torque and with the same quad motor drivetrain as they are ones. And Timmy that is
Totally and completely unnecessary for a vehicle like this.
I mean, literally knowing what I know about rivian's architecture. Now, I would want the dual motor version of this so a motor for each upper front axle and four rear axle with lockers and Remy in is already quoted specs of around 600 horsepower for that, which is more than enough for a, yeah, for a big van like that in, in my opinion, because you're not going to go and carve canyons, in a big lifted, you know, High center of gravity van so I thought that was a little
A little crazy. And
I don't know, maybe there's buyers for that that I'm just not aware of them. I'm not sure I think Murdoch in a school bus and get the kids to school really, really fast that mean. Yeah. What are you going to say to me? I think that Murdock would disagree with you
I agree with that murder is the render that? Yeah, I totally agree though. The render that we really need is the A-Team graphics. On the side of that, man. It is such an interesting hodgepodge. So you have the 21 in like wheel cover design. Then you have just obviously there are one knows but short and then this top part reminds me more of that. The actual on Amazon van, which is the real news of the day, which was kind of getting some of this leaks from that, okay? This might be in the works. And what not? And it's Skylar were you just saying before we start recording that
we're so used to seeing this like so much shorter but that throws us off to, you know what I feel like if you look at it from the front tire back,
It, it looks good. Even, even those taller proportions, however, the the regular are one knows that they put on it. Just does not look right. I would love to see the the DRL in the stadium headlights but almost in a cab over type design because that would give you better approach angles and you know, cabover designs have phenomenal visibility so you can still have that rivian aesthetic. But that like the little stubby knows is what absolutely throws me off about this one? At least I don't think Frank storage. Especially if they did the old dog house design the old dog house designs of like the Ford Econoline and of late I think the
Whatever Dodge called their van back at the be there. Big 1500 series van.
To have that dog house Tile Design to give you a surprisingly large front.
In such a short nose.
Build a camp Kitchen in the back of this one. Well, so for real, that's exactly where I was about to go next. I feel like the possibilities with a platform like this, with regards to, I mean, I would love to see it modular in.
For lack of a better, better term, we're literally you could kind of pic seeding and or RV type Style.
Components to, to put in there and configure them.
Kind of how you want them. And I mean, yeah, I think the sky is the limit with regards to where rivian could go with this. I mean, it could be a passenger transport van. It could be, you know, a, an actual can a band. I mean, I thought that it's funny that
This render had a rooftop tent on top, and it's like, you got a big van, what are you doing? Sleeping in a tent on the roof? Just like Alex Honnold guy, all over it for sure, this is his deal. Oh yeah, this is this is how we got on this as far as some of these speculations and whatnot. Congratulations team rivian as they started last week, actually, delivering an Amazon van. So, there's a little bit of an event in these things went off and we're in a handful of cities. North of me. Chicago was one of them in City. Nashville actually up here. Oh, yeah, Phoenix. San Diego St. Louis Seattle, Dallas. So, that was really cool. I don't know exactly how many they deployed there, but, you know, the big headline that we've had for a couple years now, as a hundred thousand of these coming,
Right now, by the, by 2030, write the number of its huge. The number that I heard associated with that event was, delivering, 200 Vans to Chicago. Now, whether they are ultimately destined for other places. I don't know. But that was, I believe that the first bulk delivery of production Amazon Prime fans.
So here's a snippet, will certainly have many thousands of vehicles on the road by the end of this year but not providing a specific number, right?
What are some things that came out of this? Just some things that you guys want to highlight in up, with this up on the screen for the YouTube audience in for those listening on the podcast, will probably get to some of this as well. Audio only that is in the nurse that video that I haven't had a chance to watch, but I've seen some of the people posting some Snippets. So what's your score? Some high points that stick out? So you just mention one of them for me, Kyle, and it's that the, the Bloomberg interviewer asked RJ, if they were on track for 10,000 Vans and just to summarize, what are they said, was, it's a highly coordinated process between rivian and Amazon. Not only with regards to kind of the feature pact that ended up inside the bands, but also the deployment strategy because there's multiple aspects of that, right? You've got to train the drivers, you have to make sure that those Fleet centers are
Equipped and ready to be able to handle the charging and I mean, yeah, it is a very detailed and systematic roll out. So he was non-committal on the delivery. Number kind of seemed to indicate that they may not be on track for 10,000.
Moving on to my other main takeaway was the way that RJ handled a question around. Whether there are other commercial van and customers in Q2 to receive these bands or similar Vans and RJ said, in the coming months. And then it almost seemed to me, like it was an afterthought he added and years, there will be additional announcements about other commercial Partnerships. So I feel like we will hear about more of those before the end of the year was just my my gut feeling and read on that, he can build $900 for New York City, you know, or 900 series lens for Chicago. Like it it's going to definitely going to be more
Answer your point more thought out, you know, cuz they got to strategically place each series of those vehicles. In the right areas, could you don't want to put a, you know, where to put a 500 in, you know, an interviewer alaria because they're going to be driving further and you don't want to put a, you know, what, to put a 909 hundred and York City, because I feel like driving a school bus in in those areas. Yeah. And you actually triggered. Another recollection about that interview and it it's that RJ said that they are producing the 500. So the smallest planned.
Amazon van at the moment as well, because he talked about having for vehicles in production. So r1t, r1s the 700 band and the 500 van so that that was new news to me at least when I found out that there was a article on LinkedIn.
I have to maybe find it. When someone posts that I can distinctly, remember the Sunday afternoon that RJ called me into whiteboard this van.
And it was like less than 4 years ago, you know? And then today they're delivering
I just think that it's cool that this was a whiteboard concept, you no less than 4 years ago. And now, these are rolling out legit. That's a great accomplishment, Caribbean. Absolutely. And multiple models, and once, again, being able to roll out for vehicles, at the same time, does speak a lot to Ribbons skateboard architecture and approach.
And it is an amazing accomplishment for a brand new manufacturer for different vehicles in production already.
Less less than a year from the first vehicle deliveries of any kind. That is pretty impressive. So, here's one other interesting tidbit and I know we heard this a long time ago and it had nothing to do with the coverage this last week, but
Amazon, picked the the look of this man. So the rivian standard commercial van offerings should have a different look.
And, you know, the the Amazon Vans definitely do, look friendly. And kind of cartoonish, I feel like
I feel like I would probably like the rivian rivian Zone commercial van look better. Come back to this Fleet page here to see somewhere. There was kind of maybe a few little
Cute little Clues. Well, I mean, is this a clue over here or not?
Well it's it's not Amazon's color scheme but I haven't sleuth all of the van pics and honestly I probably never will. So
Mindy operating system is going to be such a huge advantage and attraction as far as getting them vehicle. As far as like a soccer mom.
Play purchasers. I mean Skyler have you dug into that much and what have you found?
So with regards to Pollito SI, I don't really know a lot. I've seen some of these screenshots both on their website as well as in some of their quarterly filings. And so I've read what they have to say, I've heard what RJ had to say about it. And in all honesty, rivian's goal, there is kind of twofold, number one to bring value to their customers and really helping them operationalize, these vehicles in the best ways. So, with regards to Monitor, and providing for charging management, looking looking at maintenance-type Solutions and then just overall, I mean, we've seen GPS shots which is obviously
Gps-based vehicle kind of live awareness, and tracking. So
so that's one part of it and its rivian wants to bring additional value to their customers through this this offering the second part of it is
Rivian. That's going to be a subscription-based service and meridian's. Going to get recurring.
Software subscription revenue is a result of the customers that deploy Fleet OS for all of the operational advantages that it will bring them.
so isn't it should be a great thing for rivian's business and I can tell you that in the software world, that's what everybody's going for, is recurring subscription revenue and
Obviously margins on that will hopefully be a lot better in time then. Vehicle Martins.
Yeah, the great point.
