Unfunny and Infantile
I listened to these guys hoping to hear an intelligent discussion of a film. Instead, I got two guys yelling over of each other. These guys need some structure.

Perfect Movie Nostalgia
When you examine what makes a good podcast, the two main ingredients are content and hosts. This podcast has both brewed to perfection. If you love older movies, some mildly crude humor, great hosts, and witty banter, this podcast is for you. Each episode is teeming with nostalgia and the hosts comical, yet insightful examination of a movie’s plot, character motives, as well as bits of trivia, keep me coming back and wanting more. One of the five podcasts that I truly love!

Do Not Ask For Which The Cast Trolls (it’s all of them)
Two of the three hosts are wonderful and the stated title premise is a good one. That said, the main host actively trolls every single film with unrealistic expectations and unfair nitpicking (and clearly has attention deficit issues that are made far worse when he has IMDB open). Every episode is a sloppy, meandering, strangely negative mess that a good editor (or better, a competent host keeping the show on track) could easily fix. Of the dozen episodes spanning their catalog I listened to, I found all of them to be depressingly scattered in irrelevant discussion of barely tangential topics (barely talking about the supposed film in focus) and worse, felt the premise is not celebrated in the way the show title would suggest. There’s no real love or enjoyment to be found at all; instead of appreciation there’s endless complaint about how Blue Thunder is boring or inappropriate (which sounded like an entitled millennial was watching and not actual fan of the era or of good thrillers), there’s whining about Meg Ryan’s character arc in The Presidio instead of how fun Connery and Harmon are together, attacks on how Con Air and Red Dawn aren’t totally realistic...yes, we know that, they aren’t documentaries on best practice prisoner transport or asymmetric guerrilla warfare, they are dumb, fun entertainment and that’s all they need to be. This show pretends to celebrate genre films of a different decades but instead is an excuse for the main host to troll the audience and often his co-hosts about what they love whether it’s attacking Babylon 5 or anything else he can be hateful of to get a reaction and ultimately it feels cheap and pathetic. Being overly critical of movies? We Hate Movies and How Did This Get Made do that a hundred times better and still seem respectful, you should go listen and see what genuinely good film podcast sounds like in humor, structure, and an honest approach to their stated premise. 1 star for each of the good co-hosts who have to sit through this narcissistic, ego trip trollfest of a podcast.

French Connection
Whoa, are you guys missing the boat on what this movie is about! The whole show went down the toilet when the Lethal Weapon comparison was made. The French Connection is exactly what it was meant to be and brilliant. Stop comparing TV of the 21st century to a movie from the '70s. Apples and Oranges
