Virginia Sets the Stage for the Midterm Elections
Rant World
Welcome to the Real World. The conservative podcast with Sam Widener.
Thank you for listening to this episode of rant World conservative podcast. Let's talk about the midterm elections. Is it is pretty much that made Place between presidential elections, where every single one of the states in the United States House of Representatives is up for election example, 2020 was a presidential election year. 2022 will be a midterm election year, that is this year 2024 will be another presidential election year followed by 2026 midterm election year. And of course, many people get excited about this. And many people want to flip the house and because of that, don't give up hope. Because there is a chance, Virginia, I believe has kind of set the stage for Republican bakeries across the United States. So I truly do think that the Republican Party does have a shot at flipping, the House of Representatives
But of course, right now, the Democrat Party is in control of the house and many people know Nancy Pelosi. Who is the current Speaker of the House and the way that the Speaker of the House works is whoever is in control as far as party where there's Democrat Republican or some other third-party if that was to ever happen. They will be the party who has the speaker of the house. So the Democrat Party, as of now is in control of the house, therefore, they have a Democrat speaker of the house. If the Republican party was in control, there would be a republican speaker of the house just like there with me for any other third-party if like I said, that was to happen.
How many people are also looking forward to the 2023 election year here in the state of Virginia. This is the point where all forty of the senatorial districts are up for election. And of course, in 3 days, drinking is having some senators of the same party even are in the same district and what either have two primary each other or just give the reins to their colleague and let them take control.
However there are several districts that are open. Just no Senator representing them as of now. Since districts have been redrawn. So there is no incompetence or that District. When 2023 comes up the police do not confuse this with the current Senate lines to wear back in. 2019 doors, all 40 Senate districts up for election and those districts were filled and there are currently. No, think it sees and the state senate. However, since the lines were redrawn after that election, there are vacancies for the upcoming election, not for the past election, or as of right now, in the state senate.
However, since the Democratic party is in control of the Senate, many people are looking forward to this, especially since there are those open seats, given the fact that this can be a chance for the Republican party to take back the Senate, of course, the governor's mansion is controlled by the Republican party, as well as the house of delegates. Gaining, as you can see by this visual that I have up right now, there have been seven seats taken from the Democrat Party and added to the Republican Party. Therefore, there is Republican control and the house of delegates and obviously the goal is to take back control of the state senate.
But as you can see, add this visual now that I am sharing, Virginia had a higher voter turnout and almost every single county in the state when it went on with the November election in 2021 with Governor lieutenant governor attorney general and House of delegates seats.
But now, look at this visual that I have up. And it shows the amount of gain for Republican votes and Democrat votes across the state. You'll see that in nearly every single County, there is Republican gain and Democrat lost. But there's just a couple of counties in there that you can kind of see that had a Democrat game and it was very, very small.
Percentage of democratic votes, but many people say that Virginia Was Won by President Biden during the 2020 presidential election by 10 points there, for Virginia must be at Boise State. Of course, we proved that through to be wrong back in 2021 and November when we had this election and we turned Virginia read. This is why I believe that Virginia has set the stage for a pelican victories Across the Nation.
