- What are you assuming?When we are going through a tough time or our mind is focused on a traumatic experience because of the past, are minds always go to a place that we assume everything is bad. Then if we happen to go through a great moment, for a bit we have assumptions that things can work themselves out, but as always around mind comes back to that painful tragic time and the assumptions that our life is horrible comes back into view. - Does it move you forward?When you are trying to survive you will always go back to what you know. this is a protection mechanism that we have all created for ourselves it keeps us safe and away from pain. But can you transform your life this way? Can you begin the rebuild process or the recovery process if you are always going back to the safety of what you knew. - What are you hiding from?Did you ever play hide and seek as a kid, I often still play it with my kids today, it is fun and my youngest Kesler, really is small enough he can hide in the best places. I am big so it is a lot harder for me to hide, but sometimes I can get creative and they don't find me right away. I know that where things in life that I just didn't want to think about and i avoided putting myself in the position to get hurt or scared by this and it resulted in my life being controlled by these things. - Stop Running From NothingWhy do we run, usually because we are scared, scared of the past chasing us, scared of the failure that we had. - Fill that hole in your foundationEverything in your life is build from the ground up, when we are born we are on the ground. When we start a job most times we are at the bottom and have to work our way up. And when something happens in our lives it puts a crack or hole into the foundation that we have laid for ourselves. Like when my son died, that was a big hole that I needed to fill, and I don't necessarily mean fill like add more kids, I mean fill with Postive meaning and created understanding. - Blame VS ResponsibilityWhenever we go through a situation we are faced with a choice, we can blame others because of what happens or we can take responsibility and make the decision to change to the new person that we want to become. But that is tough, it is always easier to point the finger than take responsibility for our consequences. My kids do it all the time. We have been programed our whole lives to thing the doing something wrong or bad is a negative thing, to me it is just learning, if you truly didn't know, well then you truly didn't know. - Which is First, Test or lesson?I know that when you are going through school you are always taught a lesson before you write the test, but we all know for some reason, school has nothing to do with life. During life most of the time you are given a test and then taught as to why you are going through it or learn something when you come out the other side. - You create your own meanings and definitionsEverything that happens in our lives is full of meaning, but what does it mean, well that depends on you and what you decide that it means. Every story that we tell ourselves is our own story, it comes from past believes and values that we have. Its comes from the events or situations that we have gone through. 2 people can experience the same event and give it a completely different meaning. But what can happen is this world has already told you that because you went through this situation you should actually be feeling a certain way and if you don't well then there is something wrong with you.
