Probably an interupption
Please take your foot off the gas and stop bulldozing over your guests. I was really looking forward to the alex bennett episode but she could not complete a story or thought without shannon interrupting and bringing the subject back to her.

Ya lost me
I’ve been listening since MC was a cohost. When Shannon first went solo, I thought it was good. I’d binge listen to a couple episodes at a time on long drives and laugh along to her guests, stories, and escapades. I felt like the pod started to fall flat this summer after she ran out of stories to tell. The episodes now are only good if the guest can speak over Shannon speaking over them. I took a break for a few months and tried to listen to the latest episodes but couldn’t get through them. Not for me

Shannon I seriously love u and want to listen to you every week!!! Consistency shows how serious you take the podcast and it’s fine to have breaks but everything would be better planned out/more intentional (with time off). plussss it just shows that you care about what you’re doing and your fans. but this season of the podcast is KILLING IT! You’ve improved so much Back again. Still love you 🥹 but the podcast is getting harder to listen to. Alex ended up asking you all of the questions! You need consistency in regards to what your plan is for the show and what you’re going to discuss! You try to relate to your guests by telling a similar story, but all it does is take away from them and put the focus on you! These are basic effective communication techniques that are important to learn. Do the self work and the podcast will improve.

Unbelievably painful “podcaster”
Sure, everyone and their mom can try their hand at “influencing” but this podcast is a prime example of why not everyone can just buy a mic and call themselves a podcaster. Its clear Shannon prepares zero notes or questions about her guests, never properly introduces them or takes the time to outline a cohesive thought in advance, and clearly just started a podcast to listen to her own voice. It’s a complete slap in the face to podcasters that actually put an ounce of thought into the product they’re producing. Is someone actually cutting her a check for this work? Im shook.

Favorite episode recently: Solo episode where Shannon gets vulnerable about her burner account. I loved! I’ll keep listening when there are solo episodes. But** I can’t watch or listen to any more guest episodes. It is insufferable. I wanted to hear about Alex and what she does, but the only thing I know about her is that she is not self absorbed and is a great podcaster because she effortlessly interviewed Shannon the entire time. Going to check out Mean Girls! I’ve been an OG follower (pre-VC) and I’ve never been on Reddit. Accountability for actions or small visible improvements would be a good step. Just saying ‘I’m bad about interrupting” and not creating any follow through or action to improve with consistent feedback from the people who are listening/lining your pockets gives off extreme “f you” vibes. Shannon is a guest on her own show
The most recent podcast, Alex Bennet is taking over Shannon’s show. Shannon basically was a guest on her own podcast. Alex was engaging and asking thoughtful questions, where Shannon would just talk about herself and her experiences. I learned nothing new about Alex, just more stuff about Shannon….. that I already knew….. stories I’ve already heard.. (we get it, you used to take adderal). Isn’t that the point of having guests on your show, to ask them questions and have your audience learn more about them? Alex would begin to talk about herself or share a sorry about herself, and it always ended in a rant from Shannon… about herself. Alex didn’t seem to mind but it was annoying to the listener. I thought Alex was interesting and wanted to learn more about her. Again, Alex stole the show and is a true podcaster. Maybe that’s why she’s at Barstool with the big dogs….

What’s the point of guests?
During the Alex Bennett podcast, Shannon spent the majority of the podcast talking about herself. I understand that Alex was asking the questions but we’ve heard about adderall and Reddit. Unsure what the point of having guests when we learn nothing about the guest and only hear repeat stories from Shannon. I know Shannon is working on not interrupting others which is great but it still feels like every episode we are left wondering who the guest is and getting none of our questions answered. I hope this can be taken as constructive advice and not be taken as “loser” criticism.

The irony of this ep…
Shannon, you completely lost control of this last episode. You brought Alex in to interview but she ended up interviewing YOU! Relisten to this episode and take notes on what Alex is doing. You get so wrapped up in wanting to talk about yourself that your guests end up sitting there just listening to your stories. If you want to just talk about you you you, don’t have a guest. However, your podcast can’t survive on stories about you alone- most stories you told her (based on her questions to you) were things we already knew too. You have to really work on this because the irony of this episode was overwhelming. You went so above and beyond interrupting her that she had no choice but to take on the role of interviewer so she could at least get a few words in. I’ve never listened to Alex’s show before but you can tell she is great at what she does. Take notes from her because you can learn a lot. Best wishes.

It WAS and COULD BE so good
I have been around since the MC days and I was obsessed with this podcast. Even when Shannon went solo and would occasionally host with AG, I still loved it. There was wit and sparkle and it was genuinely entertaining. But somewhere in the last several months it’s lost it’s sparkle and now it feels haphazard, messy, and Shannon does not seem like herself. Everyone seems to say James is the catalyst in all this but I’m not here to add to that noise. My hope is Shannon sees these reviews and realizes the chaos, talking a million miles an hour and constantly interrupting her guests, and scolding/belittling your fans and followers makes this podcast so completely not enjoyable. Many of us want Shannon and this podcast to succeed!! Please take this constructive criticism, girl. We miss you.

I didn’t know who Alex was prior to this episode and I still don’t know who Alex is after. But I did rehear Shannon’s drug stories and how she talks too much when she’s on Adderall. Poor Alex had to interview Shannon just to get a word in. Shannon brings out her insecurities by addressing them first which on one hand makes her real, but on the other hand, we’ve heard the horse teeth, “I talk too much” spiels. Come in with a plan for these interviews so you’re not wasting the guest and listener’s time.

Bring back AG
I used to LOVE this podcast, but I think I really just loved Anna Grace? I’m not sure who the random people popping on are, but I think because of the inconsistencies in the type of guests, there should be some type of format for the show. The stories/ questions should be planned before hand in the notes section as they used to be. Perhaps settling down makes for less impressive stories to tell so switching it up could help!

Start from the beginning!
This has been and continues to be one of the few podcasts that I always listen to on release day (and I’ve never even seen VC). Though some of the recent episodes do seem redundant, I think the show is just finding its new footing in this new chapter of Shannon’s life (both personally and professionally) but it’s still really fun/funny following along and always guaranteed a good laugh. She’s truly a great storyteller.

Thrown Together
No substance…As a long time fan and follower of Shan I agree with many of this reviews. Since taking the pod solo and even more so since dating James Shannon has really let us all down. It is one thing to change and grow, it is another thing to align yourself with a misogynist imbecile who puts down anyone with a differing view, yet seemingly has no real substantial education or qualifications on the topics himself. She has regressed into becoming far more self involved, interrupting at an insufferable rate and on many occasions she and James have been caught up in lies and inconsistencies. Not really sure what this podcast is about anymore as there is no theme, random Z list guests and it seems very thrown together last minute. Sigh…GIRL come up for air and take a breath when you talk. And if your insecurity is know it alls…check yourself and your man’s! Also …we all find it very interesting how hard they try to burry James’s trashy UK reality tv past 🧐 what are you bringing to the table?!

Feeling Lost
This used to be one of my favorite podcasts but it really lost steam this past summer. All of this is said with intentions of constructive feedback, not to be unkind. I think Shannon has a lot to offer and is genuinely funny but it has felt a bit hollow and unenjoyable lately. I think her conversations thrive when she has a good variety of guests & topics in the mix rather than just unstructured conversations. Wishing nothing but good things for her and hoping that she’s able to get the groove back. :)

Hard to finish new episodes
Been listening since MC days, used to look forward to the comedy and silly stories. Now, it’s so hard to listen to the same stories over and over. The same amount of interrupting people, which she says she is “working on” every episode. Really hard to get to the end of any episode with no structure or value coming out of the conversations since they are just all over the place. The guests can’t seem to finish a train of thought. I look forward to her addressing the reviews that aren’t just trolls. Until then, I’ll unsubscribe.

Genuine feedback from an OG follower
I don’t participate in Reddit, so before you try and knock this review by calling me a jealous loser hater from Reddit, I’m not. Shannon, get a grip. I’ve followed you for many years and consumed/participated in most of your content. I understand being hurt by the reviews because people can be cruel, but you have got to change. For one, the way you speak to people is not okay. I don’t think you’re a mean-spirited person, but it’s very off-putting. Being the unprepared girlie pop isn’t professional or enjoyable to listen to. If you want people to take this podcast seriously, i.e. professionally, then act that way. And for the love of god, stop speaking over your guests. Why have people on to talk about a subject if you’re just gonna talk over them the whole time? I get you’re excited and want the other person to feel like you have a connection with them, but it’s impossible to listen to anymore. Find a theme. I understand that the sex stories and crazy dating life content wouldn’t last forever, obviously, but your audience still wants the same energy you put into those stories. That’s what made this podcast funny/enjoyable in the first place. Have people on that can contribute to that. Similar to the episode you had with Hannah Berner, for instance. That was reminiscent of the old Mc and Shan season 1 days. Shannon, I genuinely want this podcast to be a success for you. But you must own up to your part in its decline so far. You’ve been lazy, and people can tell. Being lazy is sometimes okay, but you can’t be upset when people don’t take you and this podcast seriously. You got this, just put your nose to the grindstone and prove to yourself and everyone else you can do it.

Constant interruptions, no prep done in advance, talking so fast you can’t follow along and of course, the nonstop fawning over her awful boyfriend. She can’t even come up with her own topics, she had to ask her followers what they want her to talk about. Isn’t that like the bare minimum of podcasting? She has no work ethic at all.

I truly have no idea what the people in the recent reviews are talking about. It’s obvious that they are extremely jealous of Shannon and her great relationship with James. Listen to your fans
I feel like it’s easy to write every bad review off as trolls but actual fans of the pod are telling you it’s changed. I personally still listen and find it enjoyable at times but other times it can be really frustrating. The whole “haha I’m never prepared” schtick is borderline insulting. You can’t say signing with your “dream network” and how monetizing the pod is such a dream come true and then blow it off whenever you feel like it. Lacking ambition is not a personality trait. You have to actually produce content consistently. I’m not a James hater, I think you guys are cute together but you’ve got to talk about something else. And yes, stop interrupting people.

It’s funny… but it has changed
I have listened since MC was a host. It’s one of three podcasts i never miss (This American life and Criminal are the others). It’s just a happy show. I bust out laughing multiple times every episode. Always have and I continue to. Has the content drastically changed - yes. She focuses a lot on her relationship and how happy she is. I guess you have to listen from the beginning to truly be happy for her and still interested. Do I miss the crazy dating stories - YES bc they were so silly and funny. I’ll start by saying I am a huge Shannon fan, and I love this podcast! I think she has really interesting guests on, she can hold her own in a solo episode (most people cannot in my opinion!) & always delivers a good episode in terms of content & length. I think the rebrand of this podcast from what it was before to what it is now has been a major improvement, & makes it seem more authentic than such a “shock value pod.” One thing I’d love to see is intro/outro music to mark the beginning and end of the podcast episode, when they just get right into it or cut it off at the end it feels like someone made the episode on their Mac without the help of a producer/real podcast team. Updated 1/13: Shan, I love you but please please please let your guests speak!!!! For someone who says they don’t know what to cover on a solo episode you turn every single guest episode into a solo episode by cutting your guests off and not letting any one speak or get a word in edge wise.

It’s just….not good girliepop!
I put this on during a car ride, as Shannon is usually real and funny, and myself and my boyfriend had to shut it off in 5 min. Just, terrible. The voice. The absolute inability to NOT interrupt people - I was embarrassed for her. The same people, same stories and same content. I don’t know why - but it infuriates me she loses things - EXPENSIVE THINGS - and just goes and buys new. It’s not funny. And please, for the love of all things holy, stop saying girlie pop.

I’ve been listening to this podcast since day 1 with MC, who was awesome! Shannon used to be so independent and have great stories, until she started dating her douche bag boyfriend. She has become such a rude condescending person that I haven’t been able to get through any episodes. James is truly an awful, misogynistic person. What anyone could see in these two is beyond me, but maybe awful attracts awful? I’m sure Dear Media execs will see how quickly she is declining. Shannon should NOT represent any brand that claims to empower women. She’s just as bad as her narcissistic boyfriend. I think your 15 minutes are up Shan Shan 😘

Former Shannon fan
I’ve been a fan of Shannon’s for a long time. I loved her on the VC days and have followed her ever since. I was soooo excited when she started a podcast and really looked forward to each new episode. Unfortunately, I’ve really struggled to listen lately. I’m honestly truly happy for her and her relationship with James and I remember those early days when your significant other is all you want to talk about so I’d even be okay if she still continued to bring James up. (Maybe in addition to other topics though) But, her need to talk about her relationship constantly is so hard to listen to. I also think that she can’t rely on just talking about herself for hours at this point. She needs to come up with topics or some sort of structure. I think a little preparation would really save this podcast. Until then, I’m going to continue to take a break from listening.

Fun pod- open to feedback?
Fun pod and no issues with ads. But please slowwwww down. And spend more time organizing and planning before you record. It feels so thrown together. It’s been hard to listen to lately but I’m still trying! 🫠

An actual review
Let’s be honest. A lot of these reviews are from Reddit trolls who have decided they hate Shannon being with James. Which fair, but I truly do want Shannon to be happy and if she’s happy with James then I am rooting for them. That being said. The podcast has definitely gone downhill and it’s not because of James. I think shannon thought that podcasting was going to be easy and not take any prep work. Before signing with dear media she could skip weeks whenever she wasn’t prepared. Now she has to have content so she ends up putting out episodes by herself or with the same 3 people. Dear Media needs to help her get actual guests, podcasts swaps, she needs to dedicate actual time to podcast topics. A podcast can probably only last so long when you just talk about yourself for an hour.

I have been a listener since day 1(with the deleted season) and followed Shannon on Instagram since VC. I used to think she was so hilarious but I haven’t been able to finish an episode in over a month. Maybe she’s just really content with her bf and doesn’t have any funny life stories anymore? Either way, something needs to change with the podcast or I think it’s time to unsubscribe. This latest episode with AG about life advice had to have been a joke…

So disappointed where this podcast is going
I used to really look forward to Shannon’s weekly podcast. I’d love to listen to it when working as it’d help me get through the day by having something to perk me up and giggle to. Now, it’s just a complete ramble and mess of her talking about her boyfriend. And when she’s not talking about him, it’s just her interrupting her guest and finding a way to turn it back to being about her and james. I hope she takes her podcast feedback as a positive tool to get back on track and remember what got her all her fans/ listeners.

Time to get a real job Shannon
I used to look forward to Shannon’s podcast every week but ever since dating James it has completely changed. Her relationship has become her entire personality and unfortunately her entire podcast. Would love to see some creative content. Also the guests are repetitive and boring. I can’t even make it through an episode anymore and will not continue to try to.

No structure
Totally used to look forward to this podcast. Now it gives me 2nd hand embarrassment so I’ve stopped listening. No structure, nothing of value. I feel like the podcast is always about her travel plans that we don’t care about, or what she did that week???? There’s definitely nothing comedic about it anymore other than Shannon’s joke of a bf.

Vapid, trashy, & materialistic
Tried to give her a shot, but Shannon’s obsession with James—a peddler of pseudoscience, misogyny, and fatphobia—says more about her character than anything else. She’s the epitome of “money can’t buy you class.” From telling her followers that she isn’t saving a penny for her future (probably because she thinks she’ll find a wealthy husband to foot the bill like her bff Taylor has) to splashing out on the tackiest bags/shoes/clothes, Shannon’s shortsightedness is not something she should be proud of nor is it something that her “fans” should seek to emulate. Attempting to listen to her podcast was the biggest waste of 15 minutes of my life; Shannon has zero redeeming qualities.

Truly insufferable. I was a dieeeehard stan, listened to every episode, and always wanted more. Now… I can barely make it 5-10 mins and have to turn it off. We get it. You have a boyfriend. And he lives in london. And you travel the world with him. Seriously Shannon, I promise we get it. Stop having him on and stop talking about him and I’ll be back (and I bet the 5 star reviews will be too).

WORST PODCAST EVER!!!!!!!
Do not listen to this podcast. Shannon is an awful human being and doesn’t deserve a platform. Shannon is so rude to her followers, she constantly interrupts her guests, she’s a hypocrite, and has become a shell of herself. She has become everything she told herself (and podcast listeners!) she’d never be. I hope she loses everything she has because she’s SO RUDE to the people who got her to where she is. Also, James does not like you, Shannon. He doesn’t respect you, he doesn’t enjoy being around you, he doesn’t care about you. He’s using you as his sugar momma and I promise you that NO ONE is jealous of you. So stop trying to convince yourself that people are jealous.

I’m sad to write this because I’ve been a fan of Shannon’s since the VC days, but I cannot with this podcast anymore. It has turned into a mindless mess of Shannon rambling on about James at 3x speed, since her entire new brand now is James (UGH). He’s awful; condescending, rude, arrogant, and quite frankly, dumb. Hearing him and always hearing about him is so aggravating. The podcast’s content is clearly not a priority for Shannon, as it’s obvious that she speaks off the cuff, and is never following any sort of structure. Her guests are boring and repetitive, and her constant interrupting is irritating to listen to. No one likes to hear random fragments of a conversation, especially one with no flow or humor! Feedback can be hard to receive, but I hope Shannon listens to her followers/listeners (while they still engage) with an open-mind, especially since her whole income depends on them. Remember, don’t bite the hand that feeds you.

What is this podcast
Not sure the point of this podcast besides Shannon just wanting to talk about herself. It is very unorganized and it seems like she doesn't make time to create actual content so she just talks about what she’s been up to and her travels instead. I guess I get that she wants to have a casual, “funny” podcast where she chats with friends but she still needs to be creative. It just does not seem legit and I don’t get it.

I’m not sure if these reviews actually do anything, but it’s worth a shot. The content has changed… I understand completely being in a new relationship, and life changes. But this relationship has become your ENTIRE personality, on your podcast and IG. I hate to say that you’ve become everything you say you dislike. You had a life before him, and will have one after. Don’t lose sight of that. I’m having to unsubscribe from YT, here and IG. If the content ever goes back to how it used to be, then I’m sure you’ll gain a lot of your following back. I can actually FEEL my blood pressure rising as I attempt to listen to these episodes. The rapid speech, flight of ideas, and talking over guests/relating every single comment your guest(s) make back to yourself….it’s painful. Can’t get through one single episode anymore. Listen, I was SO HAPPY for you when you first started talking about this new relationship. I was literally grinning ear to ear listening to the whole story of how y’all met, and I was excited to hear the first episode you had him on. However, it’s gotten out of hand. It’s reminiscent of girls I used to bartend with whose boyfriends would sit at the bar their entire shift. This is your job girl, stop bringing your boyfriend to work. I genuinely hope you are happy— though it seems he is just using you to piggyback off of your success— I hope I’m wrong. But we miss the funny Shannon who had an identity outside of her boyfriend. This podcast kills my brain cells
As I listen to this podcast I can hear my Brian cells slowly dying because of how stupid Shannon is. She has no idea what words to say, she is constantly asking if that’s the word she meant. Don’t have a podcast of you have that much trouble speaking. Her privilege shines bright, example the apartment which monthly rent cost 1/4 of my entire salary. If you want normal working class people to listen maybe try to be more relatable. She is constantly interrupting and has no outline for the actual podcast. I don't know how anyone can listen to this.

I could copy and paste everyone’s reviews as my own because y’all are speaking to my soul. The podcast is SO hard to listen to now. There’s no structure and she won’t let anyone speak and it’s ALWAYS ABOUT JAMES. I used to get excited for her episodes and now I just turn it on out of curiosity and then turn it off once I realize it’s another crap episode. She’s so unrelatable now. Like $7,000/mo for the NYC apartment she spent maybe 12 days in? Come on. James is so negative and it’s painful to listen to him talk down to her. All my friends feel the same way too but I’m the only one who’s writing a review. Talk about losing yourself in a relationship 😐

Why would I want to sit and listen to a girl obsesses over a boy like she is 14? That is literally all this podcast has turned into since James came into the picture. It’s impossible to listen to and I’m shocked that Shannon has no true friends telling her to STOP talking about James every 3 seconds. He clearly has little interest in Shannon, and Shannon it’s coming across so desperate and she’s losing listeners like crazy. Get a grip.

I have been a fan of Shannon and the podcast since the VC days. This podcast used to crack me up like I was listening to a hilarious friend. But now with this grifter James on all the time, this aint it. His vibes are way off. He comes off rude and I truly suspect his intentions are not genuine and he is using Shannon for clout and to gain followers. She has morphed her personality to appeal to him and its just not her. Content has lost its authenticity
I think it’s been said a thousand times already that this is not the Shannon we know and loved. Sadly, she can’t take the criticism which is problematic for producing a podcast. Maybe this is the real Shannon. James is not a good person and proves it daily with his contradictions and insults. I think she is on a money high and believes she is untouchable. She screams bi-polar in how she spends and speaks crazy fast interrupting and flipping from one personality to another with no direction. It’s like a train wreck now you can’t look away from. As far as the podcast, I cannot listen anymore. It’s just bad. Really bad.

Longtime listener but not anymore
Really enjoyed listening to this podcast once a week on my lunch break. I messaged Shannon on Instagram some advice about a story she posted and she blocked me so I guess I’m done with the podcast. I can’t understand that a gal who gets her money from the public (influencer) is so blatantly rude to her followers and blocks them for the tiniest things. It’s a very bizarre concept. She always preaches about being such a nice person but I’m not sure that’s true. Sad, as I did enjoy this podcast.

I’m happy Shannon is happy but hearing her talk about James 24/7 is not it. Used to be obsessed with the podcast when Shannon was single and doing her own thing but now it just seems fake and that she’s molding herself. I used to look forward to this podcast coming out every week and would listen the second it was released but now I can’t even listed. You can have a relationship and still be yourself.

Alright I’m out.
I have been a OG Shannon fan but wow I can not stand James. The most recent podcast solidified that for me. He is so rude to her I CAN NOT. It’s very obvious he’s not that into her and it makes the chemistry between them on the podcast so awkward I’m cringing and going through the worst second hand embarrassment. I really miss the old Shannon, I just feel like she’s trying to prove something and it’s coming off disingenuous. I don’t think I can stomach another episode where James is involved. That man makes me nauseous.

So disappointed
I used to LOVE this podcast. I would look forward to it every single week and I’ve recommended it to so many people; now, it’s honestly hard to sit through. Today’s episode was the final nail in the coffin for me. This podcast needs to be rebranded. It is NOT comedy anymore, nothing about today’s episode was funny. It has become the James show, and there are honestly thousands of people I’d rather listen to than him. Pre-James, this podcast was gold, since he’s come around, it has been a complete SNOOZE. Was really hoping the Dear Media acquisition would make this better, but it is honestly just getting worse and worse. Please bring back the old material. The fake accents and “holiday” recaps are not doing it anymore.

Not only does she consistently interrupt whoever she’s “interviewing”, but the guests are just a yawn. We don’t need more “interview” from Taylor or AG. For the love of God. I used to love probably a podcast. From MC days to current, I’ve listened to every episode. Obviously we get a birds eye perspective and aren’t IN it, but as listeners who are able to look at this from an outsiders angle, Shannon has changed and not for the better. I believe she’s a great person and friend but listening to her days with John to current, she is so far from herself and everything she preached for so long. I loved single Shannon and heartbreak Shannon and even John Shannon. John let her be herself and she shined. James Shannon? I don’t even know what I’m listening to anymore. She has completely molded herself to fit him after months and months of insight about how to never change yourself to accommodate someone else, especially a significant other. She can do so much better than this guy. I physically cringe looking at and watching him. It’s sad watching how she is slowly changing and not for the better. I’ll continue to give this some more chances but she seems to have lost herself.

I miss the old podcast
I started listening as soon as Shannon started with MC and I would die laughing the entire time. Now it’s like having to listen to your friend in a toxic relationship babble about the boyfriend everyone hates. She interrupts, brings no substance and just talks about a guy everyone has agreed we can’t stand who also seems like he can’t stand her either. I hate to see it going downhill like this but it’s unbearable to listen to now.

I used to laugh my butt off and think Shannon was very funny but at least since she’s met James she’s awful. I just cannot be a subscriber any longer. James is a horrible, nasty, misogynistic, toxic, human being and he has ruined our girl or was she always like this and we were fooled. Her fans are sick of hearing his name. That and “South Africa” “South Africa”. I’ve been such a supporter and cheerleader for her, bought all her products she pushed and I truly wish her happiness but I’m walking away from everything as long as James is around. And TBH I was mortified during the pod with Mike when she told the world she knows Taylor isn’t Mike’s soulmate. They have a family. How horrible for their daughters to hear that one day. That and Shannon’s constant interrupting her guests. I absolutely do want my daughters to think her behavior is healthy and that they should date a loser like James. He’s a narcissistic abuser and we all see it. We catch their lies. The quality of her content is absolutely ruined now. She’s not funny anymore. She’s certainly isn’t qualified to give advice. I miss her girls trips and jokes and fashion. So…no longer a fan and I just unsubscribed.

Where is Shannon and what did you do with her?
This truly kills me to write as I love Shannon and always have supported her but the Shannon that’s been making these episodes since the Brit boyfriend is a totally different person. I’ve always loved how unapologetically her she’s always been and now I don’t even recognize who this girl is, it’s like she’s trying to fit the mold of what her bratty boyfriend wants. Shannon, your girls are missing you and the boyfriend with ALOT of opinions on things that you would’ve never been aligned with in the past makes it super hard to support you. I’m happy you’re happy but you’re losing me here. Also the 45 min mark on the podcast with him, so incredibly rude to you. Hoping you get out before it gets too deep girl💗

Holding on like Jack in Titanic
I was super happy to have discovered this podcast early this year, Shannon’s laughter is contagious. Trip of a lifetime is my all time fave episode. Things have taken a turn since James became Shannon’s #1 topic and she lost herself in this relationship. Hard to see why she is with him when he is constantly putting her down and has the personality of Donald Trump. AG & Taylor help your girl out please and bring the old Shannon back.

Good but need to learn podcast etiquette
Overall it has been funny and I enjoy tuning in but the podcast really lacks consistency and direction. Shannon has the “it” factor and is personable, but dear god let others speak or just don’t have guests. Found myself turning off episodes with guests because I can’t stand the constant interrupting by Shannon to tell her own story. Updating to 2 stars… host has not improved, occasional laughs, mostly cringe

From great to terrible
I used to listen every week and die laughing every time. I loved the independence and confidence shannon showed and talked about. Now she has a boyfriend who is a misogynist and has completely changed who she is. The new shannon is unbearable and so inauthentic it’s actually super sad. We’re witnessing a girl in real time get totally tricked into changing who she is for a undeserving man. Stop preaching on your podcast bc you want to be like James. No offense but neither of your advice is what I want to hear.

Changing my 5 star review to one star because there’s no substance anymore. I understand Shannon is the host, but nobody else can speak. Also I understand being happy in your relationship, but it all seems so fake. You talk about James 24/7 and have completely molded yourself to who he wants you to be. Single Shannon was so inspiring and this Shannon is unbearable.

Probably An Interruption
Shannon is a shell of her former self. The constant interruptions & incessant need to turn everything back to herself & talk over her guests is extremely irritating. If she wants a monologue she should do standup, not host a podcast with guests.

Who is she?
Who is this “new” Shannon who swore she’d never change for a man?! You have morphed into someone completely different for James and it ain’t cute! And girl, you aren’t the only human in the world with a cross cultural relationship, it’s getting old. You guys have no substance, just laughing at how you pronounce words differently…. Umm lol? I was an avid listener and stopped when James became the new co host, he is extremely arrogant and a cheater. Not cute.

Too Many Interruptions of Guests
I used to really enjoy this podcast. It was fun and lighthearted. But you can tell Shannon has gotten full of herself. Her stories about herself aren’t funny. She interrupts her guests ALL THE TIME. And it’s becoming painful to listen to.

I’m obsessed
If you’re like me and not super into podcasts, Shannon’s pod will literally change your mind. This is my new religion, kidding but not really. Shannon does such a wonderful job at making it feel like you’re one of her best friends! I always love listening to this podcast on my way to and from work which can be quite a drive sometimes. I would lie if I didn’t say I have full blown LOL’d while listening to some of the episodes. I really feel like Shannon is with me on my drive to and from work just filling me in on her crack-energy life which interests me so much. I have also enjoyed the amount of growth that I’ve been able to notice throughout her podcasting journey as a woman. I follow Shannon on IG and am Low-key obsessed with her so of course when she started doing this podcast with MC I was HYPED. It started off strong and even though it was a bummer for them when MC left, I have to say the podcast has gotten even better. The best friend that we all need!
12/10 Recommend! I would say this podcast is my guilty pleasure, but no guilt. Not even a little. Shannon is the honest friend that we all love to listen to. If you aren’t a fun loving girly pop who wants to listen to chaos, mediocre relationship advice and debauchery, then keep it moving sissy.

It grew on me
Have to admit , didn’t like this podcast at first. I had an episode I liked here and there. (Holy Ghosted died laughing) Then the drama happened. Changes after season one. Shannon going through her breakup. And you know what? I LOVE this girl. Her energy, her strength, her transparency to the point she is vulnerable. I love this girl. I’m going to be a ride or die as she navigates this journey. Proud new subscriber.

OK I’m such a fan of this podcast and entirely too invested in Shannon Ford‘s life. She absolutely cracks me up and is so real on here unlike many other podcasters - I just love to listen to her! As a mom of two I’m in a totally different stage of life but I love that she brings on guests like Taylor and discusses how to navigate friendship in different stages, and AG is so complimentary and someone she needs in her life! Wouldn’t be surprised if Kelli walked out of that interview like WTF… Shannon needs to really give her guests a platform to speak and keep it quiet.

Shannon-you’re hilarious and entertaining but like a lot of other reviewers…you are constantly interrupting people on your podcast. Again, love you and your stories but when you have a guest on we want to hear them talk too. I’ve heard you say you’re trying to get better about it but I just listened to the makeupxka podcast and the summer pardi podcast and it was almost cringe listening to how much you interrupt.

Shannon I love ya! You’re the perfect girl to have a podcast, you’re so funny, spunky and have great stories. HOWEVER! I binged like 8 episodes the past couple days in my free time and the interrupting was next level 😂 I love that you’re excited and have so much to contribute to your guest’s experiences but you ending cutting off their experiences that the audience wants to hear! Maybe podcast with a pen and paper and every time you want to interrupt someone’s sentence, just write the thought down and say it when they’re done with their sentence, cus I’m getting whiplash with all the story pivots. And we genuinely want to hear what you have to say, your tangents are relevant, just ill timed. And now you interrupt people to tell them that everyone hates how much you interrupt people 😂 you’re so good at solo episodes so maybe you should do more of that because your guests stories always end up getting cut off to bring it back to your personal experience. Still gonna listen either way but please try to let the other person at least take a millisecond of a pause before starting your next sentence and bringing it back to yourself 🥲

I Listen to this podcast regularly because I genuinely think Shannon is funny and a great follow on socials. But I’m about to throw in the towel.. she quite literally repeats herself over and over again.. like how many times can you tell us the story about being wanting to be a used car salesman and not knowing you lived in a trailer as a kid? We get it. Also, she acknowledges that she had an issue with interrupting Jaylen(?) last season and yet she STILL interrupts her guests every episode. Like why even have them on? They don’t get a word in. There was no point having someone on for the Barcelona Episode when Shannon just basically recapped her personal experience the whole time and occasionally her guest chimed in. Have some self awareness and do better next season.

I’ll start by saying I am a huge Shannon fan, and I love this podcast! I think she has really interesting guests on, she can hold her own in a solo episode (most people cannot in my opinion!) & always delivers a good episode in terms of content & length. I think the rebrand of this podcast from what it was before to what it is now has been a major improvement, & makes it seem more authentic than such a “shock value pod.” One thing I’d love to see is intro/outro music to mark the beginning and end of the podcast episode, when they just get right into it or cut it off at the end it feels like someone made the episode on their Mac without the help of a producer/real podcast team.
