This podcast helped me change my life!
I found Cory through this podcast two years ago. Since then I’ve attended most of his online retreats and master classes. He has truly changed my life. I have been able to work through and heal from trauma that I thought would be with me the rest of my life. I am continuing to heal and stay on this journey but I could not have done it without this podcast and Cory’s teachings. Thank you from then bottom of my heart. Day changer
I found Cory from a Jodi Moore podcast and it has literally changed my life. I listen in the morning on my drive to work and I go in (to a chaotic high school classroom!) calm and with perspective. The bells focus me and then I can zone in for the day and attempt to practice my humanity with intent and confidence.

Like bite-sized magic for the soul!
I think that if everyone listened to Practicing Human daily, we would have more self compassion, understanding and intention in our lives! The episodes are short but it’s really all you need and I personally think it helps me digest the message better. You can listen first thing in the morning and really remember/take away from it what you need for the rest of the day. I like to reiterate to my partner at the end of the day what I learned from today’s episode. I honestly just love it so much and I’m so grateful to Cory for sharing his wisdom with us!

Practical
I was first introduced to Cory from an app and became intrigued with the calmness of his voice during meditations he was narrating for. I searched him on YouTube and have listened to many mindfulness clips along with Meditation’s and then that led me to his podcast practicing human. Cory has a practical way to help people in their life in ways that really work!! The mantras he shares have helped me tremendously along with his podcast. Mindfulness=mindblown
Cory has a gift of communicating in a simple but impactful way. I didn’t find out about this podcast until after I read his book. I am so thankful he is sharing his gifts/journey with the world. I am someone who is affected by anxiety. In just a few short days of meditating with his 15 min track, I’ve been able to take a mental step back, enjoy deep breaths and capture more happy moments throughout the day. I listen to this everyday on my way to work- it’s the best way to start my day. Cory is so great at articulating and is so relatable. Sometimes I listen to the same one multiple times because it hits different every time. I also highly suggest his book. It’s something you can reread during multiple points in your life. I started listening to this podcast by Cory when I was having a lot of trouble navigating a very turbulent time in my life. I was in a lot of emotional pain from unaddressed childhood trauma. My generally happy and thriving existence turned into fear, uncertainty and sadness overnight. Listening to Practicing Human has helped me realize that it is okay to be with negative thoughts and emotions and the process of healing can take time. There are sometimes that I fully believe Cory is reading my mind because of how relevant the podcast episode are to what I am experiencing at that moment. Cory has a calming presence and a deep knowledge of the subject matter that is evident in every episode. Make Practicing Human a part of your daily routine to help you along whatever part of life’s journey you are at!

I began listening to Cory’s meditations on Simple Habit. He uses some of my favorite wisdom and learnings I have discovered and loved on my own and introduces me to new concepts, poems and mantras. I particularly love that he isn’t overly positive mindset focused but emphasizes the importance of creating space and acknowledging negative thoughts and feelings. I read his book and have been listening to his podcast on and off since it launched. (The off because of my own indolence) His easily digestible yet smart wisdom is a good way to start the day and get perspective.

Love Corey’s teachings
Since this is a review for the whole series, I’ll first give my input on that. It’s fantastic. I first discovered Corey on the Simple Habit meditation app - he was my favorite teacher - and I’ve been following his work ever since then. The episodes are filled with a lot of wisdom broken down into short, bite-sized chunks. Definitely recommend! I have a comment I want to make on one particular episode as well. (I wish Apple Podcasts gave the option to review/comment on specific episodes…) I’m currently listening to episode #455 titled [Rerun] Become bigger than your SELF. I felt driven to stop the episode and write this, because what I am about to say is that important to me. I hope it will make an impact in peoples lives, and possibly change the direction of their potential futures. Here’s my message: “I know this is a rerun but it’s even more relevant, I think, today than it was, at the time of the recording. Especially with the delta variant out. For anyone that thinks the pandemic is not serious, my whole household - my boyfriend of 10 years, my daughter, step-daughter and myself, all contracted COVID. The kids both got over it pretty quickly but I ended up in the hospital with double pneumonia, and my boyfriend ended up in the ICU. He passed away 3 weeks ago. Please, everyone… I encourage you to take this seriously! I wish I had taken it more seriously and now my life has been completely uprooted (it’s just my daughter and me know - my stepdaughter moved in with her mother full time). I’ll live with the regret of underestimating the seriousness of COVID for the rest of my life. If you think this is something that’s over-dramatized by the government/politics (which was our stance), think about the worst case scenario, and how you’d feel wishing you had done more.”

Listen daily and as others have stated, go back to listen to podcasts that truly resonated with me. Some days it is uncanny how the topic is so relevant as to what is going on in my life. First listened to Cory in a meditation app and found his voice and delivery quite soothing. Some podcast are Longer than others and they incorporate Weill into my daily practice. I truly enjoy listening to Corey’s podcasts, as he takes a light approach. He often states “his opinion” is just that, & you are welcome to interpret differently the quotes/sayings/etc he discusses & welcomes feedback. His Instagram does the same. I don’t get to listen every day, so sometimes I go through several podcasts in a day, or repeat some several times as needed for it to sink in. Soul Food
Over the last year, it’s felt like the spiritual work and practices I’ve put into place were being tested more than ever. Some days I felt like a beginner, with meditation, with prayer, with being human. A comforting thought through it all was that I wasn’t alone. I too was practicing the thing we all are practicing...existing on this planet in this now moment. Cory Muscara’s podcast “Practicing Human” has been such a welcome guidepost for me. Starting my day listening to his soothing voice and messages has helped me immensely. I leave each episode feeling like I’ve gained or solidified a new perspective. I, like many, searched for ways to ground myself through 2020. One of those ways was finally becoming a podcast listener (I know I’m late to the game). Blissful experience

The Most Calming Part of my Day
Simply stated ... I am beyond grateful for Cory and this podcast . I am hoping to get his book ASAP maybe my mom will buy it for me for Christmas! Cory has a way of soothing/calming and bringing a message that is different each day yet also in sync with what I’ve just incorporated the day before . Also, being that I just stumbled upon the podcast after being about a year behind I decided to hop over to an episode from two days ago & the topic still resonates at present . I do believe there are no coincidences so the fact that that episode really “hit” for me yesterday was not surprising . Today I listened to one episode from last year and also the recent episode about finding peace in chaos . I cannot say enough that if you are looking for something to help ground you or teach you how to slow down even for a few minutes a day ... this is it . He also shares on IG and I feel motivated and supported by Cory quite often . Long time listener, first time reviewer (well, here, anyway). I first became familiar with Cory and his practice on the meditation app Simple Habit, back in September of 2019. His voice, style, and words just really resonated with me, so I searched out more of his work. That’s when I learned he was starting a podcast. I’ve been listening since he began in October 2019 (enjoyed when you did your own opening music, Cory). Then I bought his book. Still tune into his podcasts daily. I am *invested*. Here’s why: 1. His podcasts are short. I love that the most. I really don’t have the time to sit and focus on a 42 minute segment of anything right now! Practicing Human fits into my day perfectly. 2. Cory mixes up his content very well. Sometimes it’s just words that make you think: a poem, a quote, etc. Sometimes it’s a practice: a breathing technique or similar. There is always something in his work you can put to use IMMEDIATELY. 3. He’s just got a great voice. He is calm, easy to understand, and personable. The words he says have much more impact because of that. 4. He doesn’t intend for you to hang on his every word. He wants you to use and do what works for you. That’s why he says “try this out” or “have fun with this” or “see how this resonates with you”. He understands everything won’t work with everyone, every time. The guy gets that we’re all out there, just trying to get through this life. He doesn’t claim to have the answers, but if you open your mind a little - you might just find them anyway. Just listen. Well crafted + thoughtful podcast
I read Cory’s book last year and have been listening to this podcast fairly regularly since he started it. I always enjoy the very thoughtful episodes, and have often been impressed that he finds something different to talk about every single day! I sometimes forget to listen for several days and then listen to four or five at once when I’m working, which I know isn’t his intention but I enjoy it. He’s relaxed, wise, funny and warm - this podcast is a wonderful tool for supporting beginning or seasoned meditators.

Cory is able to craft a daily message, concentrated into succinct, digestable segments. His positivity and funny Long Island accent sink down into each story of living today a little better than yesterday. Since listening to his podcast and emplyonig some of his "life hacks" I have seen a noticable increase in my patience, better sleep, and less judgement towards others. I make Practicing Human a regular part of my morning routine and don't plan on changing that. No sponsors, no subscription fees, no tricks. Lots of down to earth lessons and observations that have been helpful to improving my overall well being and growth. I now tune in pretty regularly seeing what he’s posted for the day. I treat sick hospitalized patients for a living . Yesterday I had someone who was dealing with the anxiety of their diagnosis and I shared the wisdom from “ focusing on the positive or negative “ episode, and my patient said it relieved his anxiety. Cory delivers just the right dose of practical wisdom in a adorable style. I start my day wirh it and somehow it always helps me find solutions during the day.

A New Perspective on Fear
I came across Cory’s podcast on Working with Fear and it surprised me on his take and tips to overcome it. Compared to most other self-care podcasts, Cory recommends you name the fear, not just shove it back somewhere in your mind. I found this podcast to be extremely helpful! A Meditation Class in Daily, Bite-sized Chunks
I first heard of Cory I’m the ChooseFI podcast a couple of years ago and his down to earth style really appealed to me. After discovering he started his own podcast, I listened from the very beginning and learned a lot about meditation and its many different aspects in daily, bite-sized chunks. His episodes vary from technique to philosophy to poetry/writings from established thinkers in this space. I look forward to seeing where he takes the podcast next, as he mentioned trying to get interviews.

Practical. Relevant. Actionable
This is literally my favorite podcast. I love Cory’s approach to mindfulness and positive psychology. The concepts he discusses are practical and relatable and allow you to reflect on your own journey. While I personally can appreciate the powerful nature of mindfulness approaches like yoga and meditation I think Cory expands the awareness and access to aspects that touch nearly everyone in day to day life, without feeling false and pretentious. Not to mention they are SHORT, and very digestible. I always leave with some challenging yet attainable call to action. While it’s hard to narrow down, I think episodes 165 and 166 are my favorites. Check them out.

True Teaching with pragmatism.
This podcast is a perfect complement to the book. It is a perfect stand alone tool for mindfulness training. I have introduced it to my family. Short tidbits go a long way
I’ve taken a very long temp job working 8 pm - 8 am, 6 days a week. Unable to meditate (because I need to be conscientious of various things) a friend suggested I try walking meditation and somehow I stumbled upon this podcast. I love the easy, straight forward flow of each podcast, shared in such a way that you feel a friend who truly cares about you is speaking with you, sharing insights to give you pause and make you think, ponder, accept and/or adjust the way you have thought or accepted as true. Mind shifting
I give Practicing Human the absolute highest marks! Listening to Cory has been so pivotal for me. I truly have gone through a mind shift in how I experience myself and the world around me. This has brought me so much depth, so much insight that is not only profound but very inspirational. I started listening during walks, after lunch, during Covid-19 shelter-in-place. After 5 months I have continued this routine which is soooo soothing to me, including his voice, and a source of actionable and thought provoking insights. The one episode where he talks about “…dwelling between stimulus and response” has been transformational for me, along with the notions of the “small self” and how I was so identified with it. I now seek to get in touch with the “big I”. Cory, I cannot thank you enough for the positive impact you have made on my well being and my life outlook. I only wish I had started listening sooner, maybe even before you were in Burma :). Please keep it going!

Do Not Stand On My Grave And Weep
When I wake up, I open your podcast as I ready for the day. I’ve lost a lot of loved ones over the past year and on my desk, afraid to open, a card that was sent to me by a spouse of a life long friend who passed away this year. I opened the envelope and it was a Christmas pop-up card with a note of future plans. Life changing
When your life runs face first into a wall you have to make the appropriate changes. That happened to me at the tail end of the summer of 2019. As I started to make changes in my life one of the things I cultivated was a meditation practice. As I went deeper into doing more and more meditation I found Cory’s course on Simple Habit called 31 Day Fresh Start. That 31 day course changed my life and I knew I found the perfect teacher to help me on the road of mindfulness. About a month after doing that course his book came out and I devoured it in a matter of days. Then Practicing Human came into my life. It is the only way I want to start my mornings. As I walk out the door each weekday morning to walk to work it’s the first thing I listen to. I still would have made the changes in my life if I never discovered but I’m so glad I both made the changes AND found Cory. He’s the perfect companion to have in the passenger seat

Really great and appreciate
I have found Cory’s work extremely helpful. I found him via the app simple habit, and gravitated towards his meditations. He’s very calming, and you can hear a smile in his voice that is so comforting. I’ve listened to his meditations through a lot of personal struggles, and found this podcast. I love it. I’m hooked. Well I’ve always been a little mental, but now I can be mental, but wiser! 🙉 seriously though, I’ve had panic disorder for over a decade, at 28, I’ve had it with my unnecessary fears. Cory’s podcast and book have greatly benefited my well being this year. He has given me advice to find my independence again, living for the moment. Also, I enjoy the way he says, ‘because’. I recently started listening to these podcasts from the beginning and am only up to episode 25 or so, but I have this to say: I love that Cory sings the jingle, I love when he laughs at himself and I don’t care how long a session lasts; every word he says is gold. I first meditated under Cory’s guidance when he was leading a group at his high school and have been listening to and following him ever since. Exactly what I was looking for!
I originally heard Corey on “How to with Charles Digg” and immediately subscribed to his podcast. These are excellent “doses” of mindfulness teachings that are informative, not too dry or academic, and great length. I love that Corey’s recommendations are so actionable. He doesn’t just throw out ideas, but usually leaves the listener with an actual strategy that can be put into practice right away.

Hi Cory, It has taken me this long (!) since Day #1 of your Practicing Human podcast to figure out how to write an i-Tunes review. That may sound crazy but I don't write a lot of online reviews-- BUT YOU ARE AN EXCEPTION! Your podcast is AWESOME! Your subject matter is excellent -- I like the bells best to start and LOVE TWO BELL TUESDAY! (The jingle was cute but not indicative of the pureness of quality in your messages. Just being honest!). I personally like the duration of 10-12-14 minutes for the daily podcast. AND YOUR BOOK! Now that I am reading "Stop Missing Your Life...", your podcasts combined with your book make BOTH more impactful. My FAVORITE podcast may have been the one about 3 tips for sleep...although your recent podcast about Embracing Failure and the one on Optimism were excellent too. Dan Tomasulo so excellently referred me to your 31 Days of Mindfulness and about 1 year ago...you made a HUGE difference in my life. Caught up
I started listening to Practicing Human in January. But I wanted to listen consecutively, so I’ve just now caught up. It’s the first podcast I’ve listened to regularly. Some episodes resonate more than others, and I think that’s just fine. I’ve noticed communication with others has become easier, and my professional and personal relationships have improved as a result. Practice doesn’t make perfect, but it does lend ease.

I can’t believe this is free
I have paid to watch Cory speak in person at one of his workshops in Long Island (Worth it!) and these daily podcasts are similar. Everyday is like a mini audio workshop. I typically listen to these podcasts on my way to work and it helps give me insights and tools to help make what can be a stressful job a lot more pleasant.

My daughters and I started listening to your guided meditations on the Simple Habit app. You are by far their favorite! My 7 year old always asks to listen to Cory! I recently started listening to your podcast. I really love it and I appreciate that the episodes aren’t too lengthy. I share the episodes that I think children (ages 7 and 9) will understand with my daughters. They especially love your bell. I am a yoga teacher and I teach a Girl Power yoga (and journaling) class for 7-11 year olds. I am going to incorporate the bell into the class. Thank you for your inspiration and relatability. 🙏🏻

Functioning under severe prolonged stress, my body was manifesting very unpleasant physical side effects. The wisdom, insights and strategies Cory is sharing and his calming, gentle manner have had such an impact, and have definitely helped. I love this podcast. I have taken classes with Cory and I find him to be very down to earth and practical. Just now I listened a podcast that discussed how it can be so challenging to complete mindfulness sessions when our “puzzle is not quite fitting together.” What Cory said resonated with me very much. In fact I was just thinking about this fact the other day. This is why it is so important to make our mindfulness practice consistent ( which he reviewed) so that we are able to make it through the more challenging times with ease.

The Bells!! Ahh!!
This is such an amazing pod cast that fills my commute time with such inspiring and informative substance that I use it to help me set my intension for the day. I have a mini meditation practice upon waking but this mindfulness practices that I can do in the car is so calming to me it really sets the tone for my day in such a positive way. Just love it! As anything that is of value, once it’s not around you really miss it. The few times Cory did not have a pod cast I really felt like something was missing from my day!! Thank you Cory for all the work you have been putting into this. Just want you to know it is soooo appreciated and meaningful. My favorite part are the bells in the beginning and the end. No jingle necessary!! Keep it simple, it works!!

My Morning Fix!
I’m inspired, learning and hooked! Corey and his podcast are wonderful! It’s amazing to me that he can speak to newbies and experienced practitioners on this topic . Practical and to the point...love this podcast!!
I discovered Cory Muscara on the Simple Habit meditation app and was hooked. When I found out he started a podcast, I immediately tuned in and haven’t missed an episode yet! The podcast episodes generally are around 10 min long is much shorter than many (the first few are a bit longer) which is perfect for fitting into busy schedules. His teachings help shed a fresh new light on everyday struggles and how to deal with them in a very practical, accessible way. Oh, and he wrote a book - “Stop Missing Your Life” which comes out on Dec 31, 2019 and I can’t wait to get my hands on it for more great thoughts and advice!

Hands down fantastic
I was seated next to Cory on a plane recently (you didn’t think I’d write this did you Cory). The whole flight I was creeping on his laptop because what else do you do on a flight? I started meditating about 1 year ago partially because of an interview of Cory on another podcast; his way of thinking just was on another level to what I had heard at the time. Since then, I have mastered by anxiety disorder and continue to work at mindfulness, happiness, and just enjoying each and every moment. I signed up for Cory’s email list at that time and was really excited when I heard he was creating a podcast and so far it has not disappointed. So much action that can be taken from each episode and a lot to digest. Here’s to continuing to drop into the moment, learning to be a better person, and practicing human.

Relaxing Commute
Cory came to my school as a speaker for our superintendents conference day in October 2017. I was pregnant at the time and during his mindfulness activity, it was the first time I felt flutters from my child! It was the most relaxed I have ever been. I completed his daily mediation and now that I have a peloton, I try to do a daily meditation through the app. When I saw that he created a podcast it came at the perfect time! I was in search of more information on mindfulness and I needed something quick for my commute to work. I am really enjoying the content so far! Thank you! Oh and I love tor “Doug” jingle!

A podcast that is just as important as my morning coffee
I have actually been quite reticent to jump on the podcast train for some reason. That changed a few weeks ago when Cory Muscara launched the Practicing Human podcast. I’ve been following Cory for a little while after realizing that many of the meditations I liked on Simple Habit were his and I signed up for a meditation course that he offered and downloaded it and pre-ordered his book a few months ago. The timing of his starting the podcast was fortuitous as I was on the home stretch of navigating a very intense work production and the daily sessions were incredibly helpful and gave me very tangible tools to navigate the challenges with. Practicing Human has become just as essential as my daily coffee and I’m so grateful to Cory for launching it and look forward to each new episode and what I can learn and then incorporate into my life. Thank you Cory.

Amazing teachings from a great human being
I discovered Cory throughout the Simple Habit app about a year ago and ever since then I have been a great fan of his work. Discovering that he recently started this podcast, made me so happy to know that he now has his own individual platform to share his teachings. I’m always a work in progress.
I’ve been following Cory since I heard him speak on Simple Habit. His voice just chills me out which helps me center myself in the morning and at night. I was so excited to learn about Practicing Human and follow along when I can. To touch on the ongoing saga of the jingle, I don’t mind it because I haven’t heard any other podcaster do it before so I found it interesting. In episode 11 Cory starts laughing about the hate circulating regarding the jingle and I couldn’t help but crack up as well. All new projects need to settle into their bones so I’m intrigued to see Practicing Humans evolution. Definitely rating this 5 stars because with each episode I learn how to weave the content into my daily life and that’s a good practice I’d love to keep working on.

Listen to this Podcast if you want to be a better human!
I found Cory on the Simple Habit app, and simply adored his meditations on there. I followed him on facebook which is where I found out he was starting a daily Podcast. And of course I LOVE it! He explains mindfulness in a way that is relatable and easy to understand. He gives amazing tips on how to be a better human, that are achievable. He's funny, smart and just listening to him talk relaxes me. Honestly, most of the day I walk around feeling anxious, but when I listen to Practicing Human, I actually feel GOOD! And I continue to feel that way for the majority of the day! Do yourself a favor and make this podcast a part of your daily routine. We all need more practice being good humans, no matter who we are!

I’ve been listening to Practicing Human since it started. I love the daily lessons! It’s a great way to settle into the day. Sometimes I wake up and my mind is going a mile a minute, Cory’s episodes help me remember to take a minute, take a breath, and be present with my day. Great addition to my morning routine!
I used to use my breakfast and coffee time as a period when I would jump into my phone and start to check email, scroll social media, etc., but now I listen to Cory’s podcast which is an exceedingly better use of my time. Practicing Human helps cement the foundation I’ve laid out in the other parts of my morning routine, but most of all it’s inspired me to recommit to a meditation practice. Just 5 minutes a day, focusing on the movement of my breath leaves me in an incredibly calm place to begin tackling my day.

About 3 years ago, I was an anxious mess. I stumbled upon Cory’s Long Island Mindfulness Meditation weekly group. His techniques and guidance truly changed my life. This podcast is absolutely amazing! In only 5 episodes I’ve learned so much. Cory has been my teacher for a few years now, and anytime I can listen to him share experiences, information, lessons, or suggestions I am extremely grateful. I listen on my drive to work and it sets the tone for my entire day. I feel more grounded and present when I get to work. His voice is soothing and he is very captivating. I can’t wait for more! I’m anxiously awaiting his book and know that it will be just as informative as this. He knows how to present information in an accessible way for everyone to understand. You don’t need to have a meditation practice to listen to this podcast. The lessons are for anyone who is trying to get better at life and being a human!

Best Podcast Ever -Practicing human app request
I want to make this review as easy as possible. Major advantages of listening to this podcast on a daily basis: 1- You feel calmer 2- You can use the guided practice regularly, for example, use 4-7-8 breathing technique in your daily life or on a stressful and busy day 3- You can be more present in the moments and with your life. The only thing that I highly recommend Cory to do is to build an app because some people like me might not use social media at all and I want to be involved in his Facebook group or his updates through Instagram but due to that reason, I can’t. I want to say thank you, Cory, for your meditation courses through simple habit and also your daily podcast.

The first week or so was a confused mix of distracting giggling and jingle banter which has given way (since approx epis 9) to the sharp, thoughtful, and informative content that Cory is fabulous at delivering. I find myself taking notes on my phone while listening ie...”when walking...just walk, when running...just run, but above all else...don’t wobble; and right now...it’s like this.” and going back later to reflect. Seems whenever I’m looking to get back into a meditation practice, Corey pops up into my Inbox with a new tool to help guide me there. I’ve been listening to the podcast on my daily commute into work and it’s been a bright, thoughtful way to start the day. Simply the Best | Jingle All the Way
If you’re considering just one podcast on mindfulness, then search no further. Cory is a breath of fresh air (no pun intended). Mindfulness and meditation can be challenging ... you might feel like you can’t focus enough or it’s too hippie dippy. Cory’s approach is seasoned with humor and practicality. Daily Reset
I did a 10 day silent retreat this summer, followed by a 6 week online course to integrate what I learned into daily life. Shortly after, Cory started Practicing Human. It was just what I needed. I love starting my day with this reset. Sometimes I wake up hours early and I find the day’s episode ready for me. Those early hours are a time I usually need to refocus on being mindful or grateful or reflect on human experience, especially with self-compassion. It’s a great way to start the day.

Love this podcast! Cory does a great job of helping me set my intentions for the day. I listen on my way to work and then tune in again to the same podcast at the end of my day. I’ve found, upon reflection, that I’m more purposeful.

What I’ve been looking for
I’ve been a meditator for about 4.5 years (predominantly TM). I’ve read many books on mindfuless, listened to audio courses, use a variety of apps, and read articles online when possible. However, despite being fairly well-verses in meditation and mindful living, I have found it very hard to “keep up” with my practice outside of the formal time I set aside for meditation. After a few days of putting a book down, for example, it’s easy to slip into old habits or get sucked back into a mindless daily life. A few years ago Cory did a talk at a conference day in my school district where I work. I have followed him on social media since. When he announced this podcast, I naturally checked it out. To be honest, it is excellent. It is a quick reminder each day to keep up with my daily practice. He presents the material is a “normal” way; there isn’t too much theory or “out there” explanations that are common in mindfulness instruction. The title, practicing human, is perfect because Cory recognizes what it means to be human and gives useful advice on how to recognize and work positively with our own human condition. Looking forward to more!

Beginners mind in seniors
The idea of the beginners mind really came to me as a strong message because my mom who has Alzheimer’s dimentia just came to live with me and I am trying to find the joy in her “beginners mind” where every day and sometimes every hour is her first experience of something. She is joyful in that experience and thank you for helping me to celebrate that joy!

This is THE podcast I’ve been waiting for!!! I’ve been in search of a way to start each day with a routine that makes me find stillness as well as provide food for thought that promotes personal growth. I’ve tried others but they’re so long, I stop listening because don’t commit the time. Coreys podcasts offer me a way to access short, digestible teachings on a daily basis!! Feeling the shift already
I’ve listened to the first 9 episodes avidly and have already noticed small shifts in my daily outlook on life. I’ve been able to drop into the moment on many occasions the week in ways that I have previously struggled with. If I’ve already felt this big of a change, I can’t wait for what’s to come by continuining to listen daily. I didn’t have to create any special time to do this, I just listen in the car or while I’m walking my dog. Thanks Cory!!

Intelligent, RELATABLE, and Engaging!
'Practicing Human' has re-invigorated my meditation practice (no matter how small!). Cory Muscara's DAILY commitment to this podcast makes it easy to stay engaged. It's an awesome example of (and encouragement toward) building the HABIT of mindfulness practice. Episode 7 came was spot-on timely for me and I'm enjoying the daily publishing as well as the bite size length of episodes. Cory is a deeply skilled, down-to-earth and caring teacher whose energy comes through in this podcast! I recommend this podcast to dive in to meditation and mindfulness in a RELATABLE and intelligent manner. Cory takes topics that can veer off to 'woo-woo' land and brings them back to Earth. Excited to keep listening!

OMG!
OMG, no jingle today!?! Will the world end? But wait I hate the jingle... lol j/k ... I enjoy the content with or without jingle... and appreciate the way Cory is trying to build a community around these daily offerings which so far, are very good, relatable and applicable as well as being delivered in a way I believe can be useful to all humans, regardless of where we find ourselves on the mindfulness or enlightenment spectrum... I am happy to be part of this experience and plan to stay tuned to see it evolve! PS: as a person who has been working on building a mindful community at work for years, offering guided meditations, short lunchtime yoga sessions, etc... I fully appreciate this approach and have already recommended the podcast to my coworkers so big THANKS for doing this.

Life Changing! (Sounds trite but so true!!!)
I found Cory’s MBSR course on Long Island during a very challenging juncture in my life five years ago. I was instantly inspired to go deeper on a personal journey that continues to uncover patterns and obstacles to finding happiness and release from the stresses of, well, being human. I was a fan instantly! After my participation in his coursework I began exploration of my own through Corey’s recommendations into an assortment of spiritual teachers (Rumi, Eckert Tolle ,ThichNhat Hanh, Stephen Covey to name a few) who continue to propel me to dig deeper to navigate more skillfully how I can be the best human being I can be. The gift of Cory Muscara is that he is unpretentious and so “human” that he helps all to feel free to be themselves and revel in our individual humanity. Thank you for all you have done to make my path in this journey we call life more enjoyable- so happy that this podcast will be available to continue to inspire all!

Daily dose of goodness
Practicing Human podcast is a new daily activity I look forward to experiencing. Whether listening to it first thing in the morning, commuting to or from work, or taking a midday break. Cory has a way of keeping you engaged, and also, if your mind happens to wander while listening, he makes you want to rewind and listen again because you probably missed a valuable gem of insight. He’s personable and in my opinion, has a Mr. Rogers vibe that I absolutely adore. Congrats Cory, this is absolutely amazing.

Excited to Join the Practicing Human Community
I accepted Cory’s challenge of listening for 7 days and I’m happy I did! You can tell he’s put so much thought into this podcast and he wants to serve ALL of his listeners, so he’s still working on how he wants his jingle to go (I really like the bell idea). He’s got a soothing voice and adds in humor here and there. One of my favorite parts so far is when he was describing mediation and you’re focusing on your breath when “Why did Mufasa die in the Lion King...” pops in your thoughts. It’s SO true! Your brain will take you through all sorts of random thoughts and it was neat to hear a teacher describe it in a funny way. The “Good Luck, Bad Luck, Who Knows” episode was also wonderful as I had never heard the story and I hope to share it with others. Another thing he says at times is, “have a great day or just have a day.” It’s the first time I’ve heard someone say that and it releases you from the idea that your day must be great. Anyway, as Cory mentions in the introductory episode, life often takes over and we need daily reinforcement to keep our positive growth going. I can’t wait to practice being a better human with a likeminded community.

A unique and real perspective
I’ve really come to enjoy Cory's teachings and perspectives in life, mindfulness, and meditation. I learned of Cory through his Simple Habit App, then completed the 31 day new start challenge, followed by the 8 week mindfulness/meditation online course. All have been wonderful resources and have encouraged me to continue exploring with these topics, and the world in which my self lives. Love this podcast!
I first discovered Cory Muscara through the Simple Habit app. He has helped me make huge changes to my life. He is genuine, kind, understanding, knowledgeable in his advice and teachings. To be able to listen to him on a daily basis will assist in making my meditation and mindfulness habits stick as this is the one big thing I have difficulty accomplishing. Thank you, Cory. I hope to one day meet you, but in the meantime, I will listen to you daily through this wonderful podcast. I have already recommended it to many of my friends. If you put out a T shirt, I would certainly wear it all the time! (Women’s cut please).

A Must Listen!
This is just the beginning of the podcast, and I am enjoying starting my day with Cory, and Practicing Human. I believe everyone can relate! The daily practice challenges my thoughts and behaviors to be better. (Only because it’s brought up) I’m indifferent to the jungle at the beginning, but I LOVE the “singing” at the end it makes me smile every time. Give it a listen, and I assure you that you won’t be disappointed!

A great resource
I've been following Cory's teaching for a couple years now. His straightforward "regular guy" approach appeals to me. His messages are familiar if you have studied any kind of Buddhism or mindfulness. What's special is his ability to weave the message with scientific studies and real-world examples. It really hits home for me. I've been hoping for a podcast such as this, and now it's here. It's my new go-to for some great advice to make my day better.
