Love this podcast!
Delia’s storytelling is on point! Her tone, inflection, volume, pacing, and voice are all perfection. Great choices of stories as well. Her personal opinions are also tasteful and not over done. I can’t wait for the next season!

Just the names please.
Please verbally spell the names of victims and perps OR write them in the description — as well as the names of towns/cities I cannot understand the pronunciation of these proper names half of the time. If I want to research a story further, or look a town up on the map, I’m left completely in the dark. It/s frustrating.

Excellent story teller!
These are my favorite. Oddly enough, I use these stories as bedtime stories for myself and they help me fall asleep. Some people think I’m crazy, haha! Delia does a great job of explaining each case, and piecing together each story. I also love her Counter Clock series. I can’t wait to hear more! I hope you come back soon.

Love this one!
I’m very picky about podcasts and this meets all my criteria! Presents the facts in one clear calm voice (no chit chat), honors the victims with dignity and respect, and has a clear resolution in the end unless it’s cold. I’m so excited to binge out on all her episodes! The website has some great photos to go along with each one too.

Park Predators
I like this series bc each episode has a solution / persecuted criminal. There’s an end, not just a trailing mystery. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. I like these stories solved :)

The overuse of word ‘quickly’ makes the show difficult to listen to.

The Congo episode
"Charcoal mining"...is that a thing? I was pretty sure charcoal is made from burnt wood. So maybe you meant coal mining? I've started most of this podcast's episodes but usually turn it off because I'm annoyed by the repetitive phrasing (using also and as well in the same sentence, etc), asides, slack research (charcoal mining, etc), and weird monotone reading.

Great podcast
I used to love this podcast, but the last season was somewhat disappointing. I agree with other reviews about the Congo episode. You didn’t really touch on what actually happened but it praised the white man. I thought Delia was different than Ashley but here lately it’s hard to tell.

Specifically the child episode
Honestly this whole show is a wonder I’m incapable of pausing and taking my headphones out but the episode that got me was The Child, the end of that episode got me crying on the bus. Five stars for ever

Poorly executed
Question - is this that poorly researched, or does this podcast willfully ignore any social, historical, and cultural context that doesn’t fit the episode’s storyline ? The Congo episode spent more time praising the park’s Belgian warden for doing his job instead of living in one his family’s many castles than it spent talking about the history of colonial violence in the DRC that lead to these events. It didn’t even mention that Belgium colonized the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Poorly researched and poorly executed.

Satisfying!!!
I started listening to Park Predators when I was all caught up with Crime Junkies and Something Was Wrong (my favorite two podcasts ever!). Park Predators has now become a favorite and I’m binging currently. I would LOVE to hear Delia cover the homicide and suicide that happened in Maquoketa Caves State Park in Iowa. This recently happened and the park isn’t currently accepting campers to visit because of it! I hope you read this Delia!! You’re amazing in Counterclock too!! ❤️❤️

I love this podcast so much! I love the fact that there is no additional chatter. It’s just the straight story and Delia’s voice is so soothing. I listened to this podcast and re-listened to it from start to end on a long and stressful road trip from Los Angeles to St. Louis 27 hours. It was a very comforting companion. I am bummed that this season is over. Thank you! ♥️

Eh
I liked the first season, but the following seasons were sub par. It seemed like the writers were reaching for content, using scattered sources that didn’t always connect. Delia’s style is somewhat judgmental and slow. I’m disappointed in the content.

Interesting idea, the storytelling is dull
Every episode sounds exactly the same as far as how it’s being told. I’m sure Delia is a fine investigative journalist, but I feel like every podcast she’s on it sounds like she’s dully reading from a book. The narrating style is too repetitive from episode to episode.

Ashley Flowers Strikes Again
If you listen to the tag line of each episode for the first two seasons, you’ll hear the credit of “written by me, Delia D’Ambra, with writing assistance by executive producer, Ashley Flowers,” or something along those lines. But if you’ve listened to any other AudioChuck production, /sarc you’re *SUPER* familiar with Flowers’ writing style. /sarc It’s obvious here that Delia is just reading Flowers’ copy in order to (hopefully?) draw a paycheck. If listening to a mash of information almost verbatim from Wiki, the Charley Project and other online sources, (mixed in with tons of *SUPER* annoying “personal conjecture”) is your thing, have at this podcast. But by about season three, it grates so much you may wish to unsubscribe, as I did. The writing style is sloppy, sophomoric, Valley Girl-ish (everything is “super suspicious”, “jaw dropping” or “head spinning”; lots of cases “keep me up at night” — which, if true, would equate to perpetual insomnia, just from the sheer volume of episodes.) The reporting attempts — and fails — to sound authoritative and to ask the listener to make the mental leap of trusting D’Ambra/Flowers as a true crime sleuth, when in reality she has no credentials to support that. She’s a reporter. And not a very storied one. In reality, this is just another podcast where Flowers “creatively rewrites” online material, passes it off as her own, says there are “too many sources to list, but it’s all in the show notes — trust me” and Delia D’Ambra reads it… Possibly because Ashley Flowers is too busy hawking her book, a bald-faced reimagining of the Jon Benet Ramsey murder. Nothing original to see here. Move along.

Boring.
This show is just a woman reading. It has no first person accounts. No interviews. No production values. No sound effects. Borrrrring. It’s also obvious she doesn’t spend time in nature. The writing is clueless as to what it’s really like to camp, hike, raft, etc UPDATE - I love the premise—true crime in parks—and came back to try the show again but it’s still devoid of substance. She just googles old stories and retells them. So frustrating to hear stuff like, “I have no idea how to pronounce the victim’s name. Several online sources say smith and some say smyth.”

Wow!
Below is my initial review of this show, relating to the first season. I have since found this podcast to be grating and not very informative. If you want a good podcast about Belangelo, try CaseFile. I don't know if it's the fact that I really cannot stand AudioChuck any more, or if a lot of the cases are actually ones that have been covered, usually more in-depth, by other podcasts, but this is no longer holding my interest. And I can't stand listening to anything by AudioChuck anymore. This was a fascinating short series, each episode well-told and suspenseful. I would have given it 5 stars but am embarrased to have listened, as it's from the same company that brings up the plaigarising Crime Junkie.

Accolades based on race and class?
Hi. I generally enjoy the host’s work, including on her other podcast. This week’s episode was interesting until it got to the part where she praised the rich white man for dedicating his life to the Congo and how he should be commended for that (I can’t remember the exact phrase) because he could live comfortably elsewhere. The fact that he is a rich white man is not relevant to violence he experienced nor does it make the important work he is doing at the park any more admirable than if he was a black African from the region. It might be rare, but that’s it. The facts about his background could have been acknowledged without imbuing virtue based on the race and circumstances into which he was born. The podcaster is generally pretty insightful and recognizes bias in the stories she covers. I wonder how many people of color are on the production team (there may be some, I don’t know), and missed the white savior complex tone of that part of the episode.

Good show if it sticks to north America
Overall great show. I love the narrator and the content. However, I wish I could give the last episode of the season a thumbs down. I tune in to this to listen to park murders in North America, I don't care to hear about political conflict in the Congo.

The Congo
Emmanuel deserves enormous credit because he’s a white man in the Congo playing WHITE SAVIOR. YOU yourself being part aboriginal part colonizer obviously don’t know better. You and Ashley do nothing but quote “source material” and speculate by saying “I think it’s safe to say”. This season of counter clock is horrible. You lost a loyal listener.

Source material!
First episode I listened to, she said source material (so far about 6 times , not sure if I’ll finish). No need for that at all, you don’t have to explain, just go on. I’ve never heard a podcast do that.

Fantastic podcast!
This is and has been one of my favorite podcasts to listen to. The stories are gripping, told very well, and go into a very nice level of description related to the parks, the basis of this podcast. I love this but….
I’m giving this 3 stars only because the Constant Ashley Flowers book promotion. I get it, it’s a big deal she wrote a book. However, on EVERY podcast from Audiochuck the intros is about her book. Must it been on every I mean EVERY podcast intro. It’s annoying to hear it every time and I’m usually driving so I can’t skip it. Congratulations on the book being #1 on the New York Times best seller list but please can we not have to hear the pitch to get it on every podcast from your company?

Brilliant!
Delia is brilliant, unbiased, and thorough (meticulous, even). I stared with Crime Junkies, another Audiochuck podcast (fantastic, btw), which led me to Delia @ Park Predators (and then @ Counter Clock, also terrific and so addictive— so glad I started when she dropped the whole season at once). Delivery is the issue

True Crime and Mysteries in the Wild
D’Ambra is the perfect host to bring you right into the darkest shadows underlying the most naturally beautiful areas of the Americas. Bringing her iconic brand of investigative journalism and immersive podcasting, seen in her other podcast Counter Clock (which is just freakin awesome), D’Ambra tells of the heartbreaking truth about our parks and wildlife preserves- sometimes, the most threatening thing about the outdoors is who is out there with you.

Ok show to kill some time
It’s not a bad podcast per say it’s just that her delivery is incredibly flat and I find myself loosing interest quickly. Lately I have found myself just putting this show on as just background filler but I’d really like to be invested in the show as these cases are very interesting. I also don’t like that she just reads news articles which just feels like I’ve downloaded an audio book of the news clippings related to each story as opposed yo an actual show with some production value. Also, and this is just personal, but I don’t like how she kind of gives her opinions and speculations on some of the details of the cases. I just want the facts of the case in a story type fashion that keeps me entertained which is the point of these podcast in the first place.

Not sure what happened
Really enjoyed the first season but oof. The "source material", writing, and police sympathy--it's just too much. The level of ignorance on display when she talked about the RCMP was especially bad. In The Child, Delia described a woman and her young daughters being separated and held overnight because one of the kids looked like a missing child as a "clear example of law enforcement jumping the gun." What!?

The Child
This one was so heart-breaking.It was especially sad because in the aftermath of this child’s disappearance and murder her family basically was destroyed and not able to move on with their lives. Why?
I like the show for the most part. What’s annoying is that in season 1 there are links to go see photos, and included the names of the victims in the description. Now there are no names or link to any sources for the episode. If I want to see any photos or anything I have to go back to the beginning to hear what the full name is and look it up on the net. It’s annoying. Unsolved Mysteries does the same thing. This is going to go into my pile of podcasts to listen to when there is nothing else and I’m desperate.

Better than CJ
This is very well told podcast. While CJ are two besties talking you trough a story with glass of wine on a party, this podcasts lets you immerse to a wild and desolate world of wilderness. Host stays professional and respectful to a crime throughout the story. Kudos. One thing I don't like are sounds randomly popping up. I usually bike when listening to podcasts and some sudden sounds, as cool are they are, can be disturbing when in a car or in dynamic surroundings. Spooky music would do just fine.

Park predators is a great show! These true stories always leave me with goosebumps! I only wish more of these episodes actually took place in a state or national park. Not a fan of added sounds
Overall I really enjoy this podcast. Intriguing story telling and the narrator has a pleasant voice and enunciations. However….I find the added in stock sounds unpleasant to listen to. I’m usually driving when listening to podcasts and the random sirens and other stock noises can be startling…also there was one instance a whimpering dog sound was used, which didn’t seem to enhance the story. Caveat, I’m still on season 1, so maybe these edited in stock sounds are no longer incorporated *fingers crossed*.

It’s pretty good…
However you shouldn’t be so judgey. You often make judgmental statements and assumptions about witnesses, victims’ families, law enforcement, etc. You should try learning from Ashley Flowers. Her delivery is perfect and she only expresses her opinion when it’s based on FACTS, and not on assumptions of peoples’ intentions or actions, etc.

Interesting Stories Despite Poor Grammar
The host includes interesting details with her consistently paced storytelling but too often uses poor grammar. Incorrect pronouns, such as “her”and “she”, as well as dangling preposition “at” occur often and make the writer/reader sound less credible and less educated.

Good stories. Can’t enjoy them with how fast narrator speaks. There are also no pauses in between sentences. It’s like listening to someone speaking one enormous run on sentence. Would be so much better if this was fixed.

Needs to brush up on geography and terminology
At the start of the episode The Survivalist, the author asserts that Grand Teton NP extends into Utah and Idaho, as well as Wyoming. It doesn’t- it’s entirely contained by Wyoming, and is fairly far from Utah. Later on in the episode, she appears to confuse National Forest with National Parks, which are separate and governed by different entities with different rules for use. I live very near Yellowstone and I enjoy hearing these episodes. Most of the local stories I already know. There’s no original reporting but she does a nice summary of the facts.

Good Story line
Enjoying this podcast, Crime Junkies sent me over there. I enjoyed everything about this podcast, except the music, it reminded me of the music you would play behind while someone reads an obituary… suspenseful music in the back might be a good add. I just got funeral home vibes with the music.

Good stories, but…
The stories are good and very “matter if fact”. But the editing makes it sound like Delia never takes a breath. Like a giant run on sentence, which makes it hard to think about key points, etc.

Writing is meh
Stories are interesting but the writing needs to be more concise and specific. The narrator sometimes injects her opinion with “I guess….” or “I don’t understand why…” and her uninformed opinions negatively impact the quality of the podcast.

Meh.
Just ok. I like Crime Junkie, but the stories for this tend to drone on and on and on and I actually stop listening and I have no idea what the heck she just said. I hate writing reviews based on someone’s voice (because they can’t help it, it’s their voice). However, the stories are told without a lot of emotion. Same with Counter Clock. The research doesn’t seem cohesive and jumps around too much. Lots of back stories that kind of leave you liked, wait, who are we talking about now? And a TON of run on sentences. Like she just keeps talking on her script without pause. It’s a good filler if you need something, but it’s not in my regular rotation.

Could use improvement
Interesting stories of deaths in National Parks. The stories often make comment that some piece of information was unable to be found. Which makes it seem like the tales are slap dash put together. The narrator inserts unfounded opinions that take away from the stories. Less personal opinions and more facts please!

My new favorite show.
Wowza there are so many creeps in the parks. This pod got me thinking next time I go hiking camping bring a weapon and have the police on speed dial. People are so trusting sadly murderers can appear to look normal. Good I grew up in Baltimore city and learned at a young age never get in a car always have a friend with u when u travel carry mace or pepper spray and know how to run really fast. Don’t trust anyone watch your back for the creepers might be in the bushes. Keep your children close and your doors and windows locked.

National Parks - great, love your podcast but people are correct to ask you to stop with the social agenda bias. We don’t all need to hear how stupid the police were for not predicting DNA back in the 1930’s or for trying to run down criminals by asking what cigarette brand they smoked. That was very detailed information in my parents world. So enough. Please stay in your lane.

Pretty good
Interesting cases most of which haven’t been covered by other true crime podcasts. Ashley Flowers from Crime Junkie helps write this podcast so it has the same feeling…a little rushed, totally scripted which I don’t love. While I haven’t listened to all the episodes, so far there is nothing political about it…..

Stories are okay, but it’s too fast
Delia tells a good story, but it’s hard to follow along when it feels like the editing of her story is one long run on sentence and at high speed. It’s too fast and hard to follow. Ive had to rewind countless times. I’ve tried listening to a few of the newer cases, but the story is longer than the time it’s put out for. The pod is comparative to middle school kid trying to blow through a speech on a book report to his class, so he can sit down again and hide.

In the episode, The Garden, maybe the dog was still in the car when the killer murdered Leslie? Maybe that’s why the little dog was still alive? Not sure the killer really “spared” the dog... Only a sadist would throw a small dog out of a moving car instead of just dropping him off somewhere safe. The dog was just plain lucky to survive. Just saying... Park Predators is definitely one of my favorite podcasts! Tied with Counter Clock... Ms Ambrose has a lot of talent.

Keep the Politics OUT
The stories told in this podcast are fun and well written but the writer of the episodes needs to keep their political opinion out of it. As listeners we come here for entertainment, not undertones of Leftist talking points and propaganda. Tell your story, give the facts you’ve researched but don’t apply today’s moral lenses over historical events.

Writer doesn’t know difference between Parks and Forest
How many of these episodes actually occurred within the confines of a National Park and not a National Forest. Huge difference. There maybe a few episodes that occurred within the boundaries of a National Park, but not many. Im not sure which ones they are. Not to mention, even though something happened in the National Forest, The forest itself, rarely, has anything to do with the crime itself. , a murder/missing person just so happened to occur there. so those episodes are pointless You know, because the name of the podcast is “Park” Predators. Oh, but thats okay, it’s pretty close, it’s still gonna be an awesome episode …. no, i’m turning that crap off, it’s not relevant you could start a podcast about bacon and then discuss fish instead

No truth
Sounds like they printed out two second hand news sources and made up the rest of the story. It always has guesses of what might have happened or “more than likely I think”. These are actual victims that if you are using their story for profit, you should honor and actually tell an educated story.

In response to the person who complained about the stories being unsolved, there is a purpose and great reason to learn about unsolved crime. Good content ruined by poor editing.
This podcast is poorly edited. Any natural pauses the narrator would have made when talking (like a normal human being) are edited out. It becomes a nonstop ramble of a story that sounds like a high school student trying to rush through an oral presentation. So many podcasts fail because of poor sound editing - not because of content. Do yourself a favor and hire a sound editor who knows what they are doing.

Oh, Delia, Delia, Delia
I’ve listened to every episode of Park Predators and I’ve eagerly waited for each new episode to drop so I can hear about what horror occurred in our country’s parks. It’s a well-chosen niche. You present a lot of information. But, with each episode, I find myself struggling more and more to pay attention. I’ve been having an increasingly difficult time focusing on what you’re saying yet I actually listen to people for a living. I’m a therapist. I’m really good at listening! The Sanctuary was a terrible tale but I had to rewind time and again because your words just slid through my brain without meaning. The Hire just about did me in. I barely have any idea what actually happened in the story and I nearly fell asleep driving. Dear, brilliant Delia, how do you manage to make murder so boring? By reading a script with almost no intonation as if you truly don’t care, and words are without definitions, that’s how. You sound as interested as a 5th grader reading aloud in class. GURL, your presentation is antiseptic. Do you have any connection whatsoever to the subject at hand? How do you do all that prep work and serve it up with the blandness of an Amish lunch? People DIE in these tales. Families are destroyed. People are traumatized. The last was… bludgeoned was it? In a car shop? I can barely remember because you stated it with all the emotion due an oil change. You said the shop owner just wanted the blood cleaned up off the floor but you didn’t seem to care at all either. Do you listen to yourself? Do you ever listen to the other podcasts you work on and compare and contrast? Do you speak in a near mono tone in the rest of life or is it only in the podcast? In part I blame your colleagues at AudioChuck. Maybe they’re so caught up in toxic positivity that they don’t tell you the truth. You deserve better. You do all that hard work. Why undermine it all in the end?

I enjoy the podcast with the exception of the overuse of the word though. It’s used so often and it’s never necessary, after hearing it so many times in one episode I shut it off mid story because I can’t take it anymore. Enjoyable
The focus on parks makes this an unusual and interesting true crime podcast. I enjoy the host’s calm voice and narrative style that walks the listener through the information without the much personal commentary. One minor quibble is that the same drum and flute music was played when discussing the Cherokee nation (South Eastern US) and the five federally recognized tribes in North Dakota (upper Midwest). There are diverse Native musical traditions across tribes and regions, and using the same clip for any reference to indigenous peoples feels reductive and stereotypical. It’s a blemish on an otherwise enjoyable, well produced show.

The best part of this podcast is Delia’s ability to tell a story. She really draws you in wanting to know more. I can’t stop listening. Another Audiochuck Debacle
The background noises (text message dings, sirens, door knocking, etc) are LOUD and unnecessary. Just tell the story. No reason to divulge everyone’s genders like police, judges, etc. This podcast has the same stink as other audiochuck debacles where the “boss” Ashley Flowers seeks validation by being included in an episode or two. I REALLY hate that, especially when they’re capitalizing on others’ tragedies for money and can’t stop Ashley’s narcissism while wrapped in the virtue-signaling of helping the dead speak. Big NOPE.

Feedback from a “female” expert
I want to like this podcast, and I do like a lot of the episodes, but the host has a tendency to explicitly state the gender of experts only when it is a woman. I noticed it when she said the “female judge” who sentenced a sex offender at one point. I thought she specified it was a female because the sex offender was going to come back around and hurt the judge, but no. There was no reason for the gender. As an expert in a male-dominated field, I really hate when people do that to me. After that time, I noticed she did something similar on several occasions. Idk if she’s trying to break stereotypes of gender norms in those fields but I’d love for her to do that by also stating when it is a male expert. “Female judge” “male judge” “female cop” “male cop”. Otherwise, it feels weird to only specify women in those fields. I am guessing she doesn’t realize it, but I would definitely appreciate her making an effort to change.

Such a good show!!
I listen to a ton of true crime podcasts. I very much enjoyed this one. I’m picky and have started so many podcasts and never finished them . Not this one finished the podcast quickly. I can’t wait for the next season . The attention to detail, the true and accurate reporting, and the softness and care for all parties involved. That’s what you get when you listen to the show. I really enjoyed the stories and how they were told.

So good!
Delia is a fantastic investigative journalist and story teller. I listened to about half of these while on a road trip. Production of these episodes are top notch, I appreciated some snippets of background noise that was relevant to the story, but not in anyway disruptive or overly added to the episodes. I’m convinced I will always enjoy whatever Delia turns out.

Underneath it!
It is should be ‘underneath it’. ‘underneath of it’ is not only unnecessarily wordy, but grammatically incorrect. You should not put two prepositions back to back. Both "underneath" and "of" are prepositions. Also it just sounds bad… like really bad. Please never say it again. Not sure why that set me off, but I do really like the podcast!

Grammar and Phrasing
I like this podcast and love audiochuck, however this host could work on her phrasing and grammar. Nearly every sentence runs on with a string of “ands.” It feels like she is talking in one huge sentence at times. A lot of the time the word “and” should be switched with “which” or “who.” She also uses a lot of phrases wrong like “could of,” “all of the sudden,” etc. I’ve also noticed she really likes to go on tangents about herself, which isn’t awful and doesn’t bother me, but often times it snaps me out of the story I’m listening to.

Good podcast, but…
I like this podcast, but on three occasions I can recall, the host has stated someone in the story was “female” when it doesn’t have any bearing on the story. The ones I can recall are “female prosecutor,” “female judge,” and “female boss.” Again, in none of these instances does it matter whether the person is female, so the fact that she’s pointing it out comes across as sexist. Why does it matter what gender the prosecutor is? And would she be saying “male prosecutor” if the prosecutor was male? I doubt it

Redundancies, mispronunciations, misused words, preposition errors… This is a me problem. I realize that. But if the host read more naturally, I wouldn’t be visualizing exactly how the sentences look on her page and I could actually enjoy her stories and research.

Constructive Critique from Someone who wants you to do better
The premise of this show is interesting and I can tell there is tons of effort that goes into producing it. I do have a few suggestions though that could make the show even better: 1. Get rid of the redundant adjectives. I used to tell my students all the time, you need to be precise in your writing. The point of what you are trying to say gets lost in the redundancy of your words. 2. Don’t speak in absolutes. It’s okay to use “all” and “every” and “most” occasionally, but when you use them to describe different things that happen in the same episode, it hurts your credibility. 3. Stop using unnecessary fluff words. Cutting out words like “actually” and “just” would be a good place to start. Fluff words make this seem like a high school term paper you are trying to push to the required page minimum. The length of the podcast shouldn’t be as important as the quality. 4. I think finding another person to do the writing would be helpful. If you produce several other podcasts, the time you are able to spend writing this one might be limited and that could be why the writing isn’t great. Sometimes podcasters can get away with bad writing, but it really stands out here. Again though, I think the premise of this show is very interesting and I gave it 5 stars because I know a bad review can hurt. There are a lot of things that you do well. I’m trying to be helpful with a constructive critique because I want this show to improve.

Poor writing...
There have been several occasions where it's obvious they needed to proof their story better. For instance, the Grand Canyon doesn't have humidity problems. It seems like this is generated by people who have no actual experience either camping or hiking and it shows quite a bit, making one think it's a person doing a book report from wikipedia...

Best Crime Podcast Out There
I’m surprised Park Predators doesn’t have a better rating. In my opinion, it far surpasses Crime Junkie. Delia has an amazing way of telling the story! I’m always able to get a good picture in my head and follow along easily. I don’t find her work to be overly opinionated and she does an excellent job of researching. There’s something very intriguing to me about national park crimes. Listening to this, makes my day. Oh, and I live for the catchy whistled theme song. 10/10 recommend!

Riveting Not Traumatizing
With all of the true crime available, it’s nice to have a series that brings attention to crimes many of which have gone unsolved. The stories are interesting and eye opening. I believe attention like this helps to gain necessary public attention which may in turn lead to answers for victims and their families. I would love to see Delia cover the murders of Carnell Sledge and Kate Brown that occurred in Rocky River, Ohio at the Cleveland Metroparks in 2019. There has been very little coverage, the case has lost momentum and investigations have brought little answers and no closure for the families and community. I think this podcast might reignite public interest and bring in tips that are desperately needed.

Okay, but unprofessional and not well-researched
It’s okay but not very well done. Too many opinions and too little research and effort put into proper unbiased reporting. It feels a bit like a true crime show for teens. Could be a good podcast but really needs an editor (there are some really weird grammatical errors), and the creators would benefit from listening to a lot more true crime to get a sense of the standards in true crime podcasting. These are people’s loved ones who have died, and the families deserve proper reporting. It has the tone of a podcast about spooky stories instead of a podcast about actual crimes, and I just found it disappointing and a bit lazy. I had to unsubscribe.

I work in the death industry (coroners office) so death and crime is a part of my daily life and while I love other podcasts, I feel they get so hung up on the details about the vicious crimes and a girl can only handle so much. I wanted to like it, but...
It’s just kind of boring? Through the first 5 episodes, I find myself easily distracted and barely listening to this podcast. There seems to be a lack of nuance in building our image of the characters and feels more like reporting than story-telling. The host also seems to insert some unfounded opinions about recidivism throughout which becomes rather annoying if you’ve ever read literally any book or research on recidivism among murderers. 10/10 for the intro and outro music tho.

Done in the over the top style of audiochuck (crime junkies), so it’s entertaining but she doesn’t seem to proofread or edit properly. Interesting stories, poor writing
The stories on this podcast are decently interesting, but the writing is not great. It’s all over dramatic - everything happens ‘immediately!’ or every crime ‘changes things FOREVER!!’ It’s just too much. She also tells you what she thinks people are thinking at various points, which is weird since she’s not quoting anyone - did she read interviews or is she just assuming she knows what people are thinking all the time. There are a number of grammar mistakes, or just awkward phrasings that make the writing distracting. I also find the host’s regional accent distracting, but I wouldn’t take off stars for that, I just don’t enjoy listening to her as much. Edit: finally unsubscribed. This podcast just seems way too unaware of how this might come across to the families of the victims. Just seems incredibly callous, and too joyous in trafficking in unsubstantiated conspiracy theories.

Not sure Chuck can fully approve, woof woof!
D’Ambra has a pleasant voice and narrates very well—she is animated and sounds very natural. She lacks a sidekick adding scripted, fake-sounding gasps, and many of us are very thankful for that. The stories go into plenty of depth and are interesting. But the writing needs work. D’Ambra does better with the grammar and syntax than Flowers does on her podcasts—but here, Flowers assists with the writing. Maybe the errors are from one or the other, or both, but the errors aren’t quite as egregious or frequent as those of Flowers in her podcasts. Still, plenty of room remains for improvement in the writing. Some examples (and these are just from one episode): “Her and her roommate” (she and her brother) “Wouldn’t of” (Wouldn’t have) “With all of this information into account” (Taken into account, or Taking all of this information into account) ”How little amount of blood” (How little blood OR How little an amount of blood) “All of the sudden” (All of a sudden) I hope Audiochuck decides to hire an editor. They certainly have enough success to do so. These errors diminish what would otherwise be a top-notch, polished production, and each error is a distraction.

Too Many Ads!!
The breaks for the ads really disrupt the flow of the narrative for me. Six ads in 30 minutes seems a bit much.

Change back please
Love the content but the new addition of sound effects is unneeded. It detracts from the well written accounts.

Please no more sound effects
I really enjoy the stories and the host! Counterclock was great, too. But the sound effects are way too much. It takes away from the story, and it also is anxiety-inducing to hear sirens while driving (that’s when a lot of people listen to their podcasts).

Annoying
She has a really good voice for a narrator but the writing isn’t that great. A lot of redundancy and she is too fond of the word though. I guess I am just used to listening to audiobooks and expected the same quality. The soundtrack is perfect for the podcast; very haunting. Update: save your brain cells and skip this one. I really tried to listen to most of the episodes but the writing is just terrible and the delivery even worse. Hiring a professional writer and a voice coach would improve this podcast significantly.

Good content, poor delivery
The content of the podcast is very interesting and engaging. But the narration leaves much to be desired. The script sounds like it was written by a 17 year old. And I can’t believe how many words the narrator pronounces incorrectly (please learn the correct way to say “Illini”). And, she seems to take joy in pointing out the blatantly obvious and making it seem like it’s a massive revelation.
