uplifting & inspiring
As a woman, I realize I am not the target audience for this podcast, so perhaps take my review with a grain of salt! But I stumbled across Ted because of an episode he did with the psychologist Eddie Capparucci, I subscribed because his energy, interviewing skills, and genuineness are so uplifting. listening to these episodes makes me feel a lot of respect and hope for men navigating issues around purpose, emotional vulnerability, and personal growth. I love listening to Ted talk about putting the work into being the best husband and father he can be, would love to hear an episode with Ted’s wife!

- How to Achieve a Soul/Life Balance Instead of a Work/Life Balance with Sam Kabert“I believe that the reason why we’re facing such a mental health crisis, even before the pandemic, is because we’ve severed the connection to something greater than just this human experience.” Sam Kabert In this episode of The Modern Man, I welcome Sam Kabert, a serial entrepreneur turned spiritual seeker who’s helping others embark on their path of self-discovery. Sam is an Integration Coach, author, speaker, podcaster, and Creator of SOUL/Life Balance, the practice of putting yourself first, prioritizing your mental health, and showing up for your life and work with more energy. Essentially, it’s about creating a soul/life balance instead of a work/life balance. When you reach a certain level of success, you start to seek something more, something greater. You might even start to feel sad, lost, or depressed. Do you resonate? Many times, we chase success and when we reach it, we thought we’d feel better or different in some way… but we often don’t. The good news is, you don’t have to feel that way forever. You have a powerful opportunity in front of you, one that requires you to go deeper within yourself to find out what you truly want out of life – what makes your soul happy. Will you take it? That’s up to you. If you’re a workaholic or you feel unfulfilled in your career and you want to figure out what lights your soul on fire, you’re going to gain a lot from this conversation with Sam! Key Takeaways / What You’ll Learn: [01:03] About Sam Kabert’s journey into spirituality and SOUL/Life Balance. [04:57] If you have success and you’re still unsatisfied, what’s missing? [09:00] The importance of unlearning societal conditioning and social programming that hinder us from feeling fulfilled. [14:39] How to prioritize yourself and your soul’s needs. [21:37] Hesitant to dive into your spirituality? Listen in as Sam shares how he started his spiritual journey after a numbing depression. [30:15] What is a soul contract and how can we use them to make sense of our life? [32:50] How to feed your soul and be spiritual without losing touch with your humanness. [41:05] How to connect with Sam. [42:02] As a man, what has shaped your view of the world? He does this by connecting deeply with his inner child through playing West African drums, dancing West Coast Swing, chanting and laughing at Community Ice Baths, and going for walks in the rain. - 026: How to Make Inflation Your Friend with Bronson Hill“Without vision, people perish.” -Bronson Hill Inflation can be our friend... if we know how to use it to our advantage. One way to do that is through real estate. Real estate is one of the few investments that offer long-term value and can continue to appreciate over time without any extra effort on our part! In fact, it is one of the safest investments we can make because it has been historically proven stable. This week, I have the opportunity to sit with Bronson Hill, the founder and CEO of Bronson Equity . Before stepping into entrepreneurship, Bronson worked as a consultant for a medical device company where he met physicians who earned millions in a year. Seeing how much time they were trading to earn their wealth, Bronson decided he was going to let money work for him and not the other way around. Eventually, he discovered the world of real estate where he was able to create the life he wants. - 025: The Power of Owning Your Identity with Steven Kuhn"Your purpose amplifies your identity. It makes you more of who you are because you're working in your identity through your purpose.” -Steven Kuhn Our title or position is not who we are— that's what we do. We all go through phases where we feel like we should act or speak a certain way to avoid offending someone. But living in a period when opinions matter more than authenticity and trends try to shape our identity is a specially crucial time to stay true to ourselves. When we own our identity, we are empowered to do great things. We know who we are and what we stand for. We don't shy away from our quirks and flaws, rather, we embrace them because they make us unique. We become a force to be reckoned with and we don't need the approval of others to feel good about ourselves. But showing up our true selves is never easy. If it is, then everybody will be doing it. So, how do we go about owning our identity? This week, I got to sit down with business advisor, author, and speaker Steven Kuhn and his partner, Olga. Steven and Olga are both powerful individuals and together they’re making a difference by uplifting others to a higher frequency. In this episode, we discuss how we can navigate the journey of finding ourselves and owning our identity. We also talked about projecting our presence, the connection between our identity and purpose, being powerful from within, handling difficult conversations, and the 5 models that can help us build a solid foundation from Steve’s book, Unleash Your Humble Alpha . - 019: Trauma Healing- Reorient From Pain to Possibility with Greg Wieting"Who we are is not our pain." -Greg Wieting Trauma is a normal reaction to an abnormal situation. However, living with trauma isn't really ideal, especially if it's causing us to act out in destructive ways or making us withdraw and isolate ourselves from the people closest to us. Trauma can also manifest itself in physical ways. We might start experiencing headaches, body pain, or problems with our digestion. We might find it hard to fall asleep, or we might start having nightmares. Many times, people who have experienced trauma don't even realize that they're suffering from it. They just think that they're having a really bad day, or that they're just overwhelmed with work. So how do we know if our pain is a symptom of trauma or not? In this episode, I sit with Greg Weiting, the Founder of PRISMA. He developed the Prisma Method from his own healing journey. Today, Greg is helping leaders, students, and individuals heal their trauma from the roots.
