Turned off from the beginning
What was that all about? The guest could have simply stated what it was about calculus that fascinated her and then given the Wikipedia example and that would have taken 3 minutes. The rest of the podcast is simply uninformative drivel. Thanks for wasting my time.

Good but
I enjoy this podcast but I just wished they wouldn’t open *every* episode by discussing the weather. It’s trite.

Learn Something New Each Episode
The hosts have on great guests, who do deep dives into their favorite theorems. The episodes range in accessibility, but there are interesting take aways from every episode.

Very approachable
I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to follow the math without any visual aids. For example, a case of Fermat’s “little” theorem was vividly explained using Pascal’s triangle and spinning prime-dimensional hypercubes, both examples boiling down to 2^p=1+1 mod p. Lovely!

New favorite podcast!
The first episode had a discussion of the Uniformization theorem, ice cream, and the Borsuk-Ulam theorem. Instant five star rating tbh

- Episode 68 - Rekha ThomasMathematician Rekha Thomas likes things to have applications, and nothing fits that bill better than linear algebra. In this episode we learn that the singular value decomposition gives us a lot more information than you might have realized. Also, migratory birds.0 comments0
- Episode 64 - Pamela Harris and Aris WingerPamela Harris and Aris Winger have a podcast you should check out, but they also have favorite theorems as diverse as Zeckendorf's theorem about unique representations of integers as sums of Fibonacci numbers and the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus. Also ceviche and pizza.0 comments0
