Title is misleading not a crime podcast
I’m about 13 minutes in and all they are doing is talking about anything but a crime or murder. It’s a podcast about 2 women talking about TV shows. I’d pass if you are looking for a crime podcast. If you’re looking for an option pop culture show it’s still weak

have loved you guys from the very beginning. especially loved this criminal crossover episode because i also love phoebe! would love to see more of this!!!! PS for the people giving one star reviews because they discuss their opinions on current events. IT’S THEIR PODCAST. YOU CAN SEE YOURSELF OUT THE DOOR. you people are so ignorant and entitled it’s amazing IF YOU DONT LIKE IT STOP LISTENING LIKE ?????? take a step back and ask yourself why you’re so offended by these women and their views. it’s fine to disagree but you don’t have to be so extremely rude about it? please enlighten me if you care to explain

My comfort podcast
Some of these reviews are so malicious. These ladies are just doing their best! And they’re doing an amazing job of spreading awareness of all sorts of very important topics. If you don’t agree with their political beliefs or the way they host THEIR OWN podcast, then don’t listen! And don’t comment horrible things about the women just doing their job. You’re just hiding behind your screen putting other human beings down. Anyways:) I love this podcast.

Interviews
I enjoy listening to the show, but the interviews are getting old. They have nothing to do with what the content of the show is supposed to be.

An hour long advertisement for a movie
What happened to the true crime aspect of this podcast? I still get a kick out of the hometowns that are only tangentially related. I enjoy the survival stories. I appreciate looping in podcasts on the Exactly Right. But listening to a synopsis of a comedy movie for an hour with Billy Eichner? Im queer myself, and I’m interested in watching the movie, but c’mon y’all. This was such a waste of breath and airtime.

The OG murder podcast
This is truly what I see as the original murder comedy podcast. Karen and Georgia are truly master story tellers and comedians. They are always very respectful of the victims while also keeping things light when they can and making the stories so interesting. I also love that they don’t always just do murder and sometimes tell disaster stories or really cool stories of great people in history that died in weird ways. Truly my favorite podcast forever.

My new bff's
Update: we’ve gone off the rails. Billy Eichner is blaming America for his movie flopping and literally has nothing to say except “if you don’t see my movie you’re homophobic”. How is this relevant to MFM? This was clearly a paid marketing stunt and that’s sad. I’m here for stories and friends bantering, not some Harvey Weinstein type marketing take over. Gross. Why would I go to the theatre to get Covid or get shot when I can watch comfortably from home? Why? And why is my crime podcast talking about a failing movie, wasting an episode? ——- Original Review: I listen asap when new episodes come out and I kinda feel like the ladies are friends (I'll own the creepiness). I love the banter. Stories are so interesting. Love the raw-mess of the girls acknowledging the complexities of being a working adult female just trying to survive. I'm so glad I found this podcast!!

Next!
Georgia and Karen constantly blab about how uneducated they are and in the next breath, spew their moronic opinions about politics, religion, the police, and so on and so forth and what have you. I’ve been listening since like 2018 because some of the stories are fun to listen to but no more. Your podcast has turned into the llllaaaaaaammmmmeeeeessssssssstttt one out there. Read a book! Take a class! Watch less television! You’re also too old for TikTok.

Enough with the TDS
Now I remember why I unsubscribed in the first place. Can’t get through one episode with sprinkling in some Trump Derangement Syndrome. Preaching love and acceptance, as long as it agrees with them. Enough with the plandemic already. It’s over and never really began. Get as many shots as you like, you can’t stop the manufactured virus. You were duped by your own government and you are still falling for it. Get your true crime elsewhere because this podcast is a has been if it ever was.

I just can’t convey how much you ladies have meant to me. I laugh (literally) out loud nearly every episode and even my husband (farmer) listens while he’s mowing the yard! Confusing
I tried so hard to get into this show. It is so confusing to listen to-half the time I do not even know what they’re talking about-or what story they’re attempting to tell. The episodes are just set up weird-bantering in the beginning with no actual point to the banter. The descriptions tell you nothing about the show, and I would not recommend this show to anyone.

I was very impressed with the show and the way y’all were embracing the story. Very hurt with peoples heartless harm they due to our beautiful children no matter the race or color of skin. Very disappointed once FOX news was brought up. Step back and focus on the human behind the pain and stop pointing fingers on blame!! I stopped listening.

Stay in Your Lane
I have loved this podcast over the years and I regret to say I can no longer recommend it. It is so tiresome to hear Karen and Georgia continually complain about how hard it is to podcast over Zoom, when not only is this no longer especially necessary, I can’t think of a job less likely to be impacted by the pandemic. Add to that their constant virtue signaling and lack of understanding that despite their woke racism, they cannot get inside the black experience. Sit down, Karen. We do not need you to do explain this for us. Lastly, since the inception of their podcast network and presumably hiring more staff writers, it is missing the spontaneity and comedy of the original podcast. Mostly it is just a dreary recitation of basic historical facts, likely as not to have anything to do with true crime. They have undoubtedly lost their fire and their way. Sorry to say, maybe time is up.

I saw the light
I was a big fan of this podcast for awhile, but over the past year I had to stop listening. I was able to push past certain feelings that some of the things said about the crimes and victims and perpetrators crossed the line, but I truly believe this podcast is unethical now. I understand what they are trying to do, but I don’t think the way they approach the subject comes from a genuine place and isn’t treated with the respect it deserves. I’m honestly disappointed with myself that I listened for so long. If you want true crime, please consider getting it from a more ethical source that this podcast.

Hello! First time reviewer, listener since episode 1. That’s right. Ep 1 my friends. I’m also a recovering morally injured, burned-out, jobless healthcare provider. All that school for….. (Would not have made it as far as I did without the show). As the show evolves, the organic banter between Karen and Georgia still causes kitten-startling, out loud bursts of laughter. All fun aside, I hope you continue to passionately support the beauty of diversity and shed light and lift up those who have no voice. The worst isn’t over and we need you. And we LOVE you from the bottom of our crime-obsessed hearts. Xoxo Gossip. wait.

Virtuous hypocrites
The ladies have made a successful podcast and benefit from death, violence/story telling, picking off flesh from victim bones to enrich themselves while lecturing us on politics and religion from their mansions. Two wealthy privileged women profiting from victim’s stories and virtue signaling. No thanks.

Clueless
The latest episode is the last one I’ll listen to. Great to hear that Georgia is aware that psychopaths ruled the world, and they still do. Might want to question the false narrative of electric vehicles being the answer and do a little research into that one…here’s a heads up: the batteries require massive mining efforts to get the raw materials needed: lithium, cobalt, nickel, manganese and graphite. Wait! There’s more! Electric vehicles have been known to explode (in flames!!) while charging. Both of these women live in California, where very recently folks were told to reduce their power usage because the grid was incapable of supplying to the demand. Where do you think the power comes from to charge an E.V? Used to be a fun podcast, now it’s just a display of extremist left self righteous hostility. Right or left, the whole bird is sick. Wake up ladies.

Enjoyable but some false info
In a recent episode she says something along the lines of “let’s not forget you can go to jail for having a miscarriage in todays times” that’s simply 100% untrue. Other than that false information these two have great storytelling capabilities and keep the listener engaged

6 years later still loving every second of this podcast. Was here from day 1 and am so impressed by the integrity that both of these amazing women have upheld all these years. To all those complaining about politics, go listen to something else then. It’s hypocritical and honestly, all these women ever say is that human life matters and so does our earth. If you can’t get with that, then maybe go read a book or two. Also Murderinos love their banter, it’s nice to hear about the latest news/shows/books and snippets of their lives. We love feeling like we’re part of a conversation amongst best friends.

This podcast changed my life
I love love LOVE mfm. I listen to them any chance I get. Any one star reviews you see are mostly from hateful right wing bigots who don’t like that these lovely ladies are educated, sensitive, and feminist badasses. Part of being a responsible true crime fan nowadays is educate yourself and see the horrible flaws within the system, and these women point them out bravely and donate generously to the right places. Do yourself a favor and listen to Karen and Georgia talk about the best and worst of humanity, while they fill your life up with smiles, belly laughs, and tears. SSDGM

This is my very first time listening to this podcast. I’ve been listening for 15 minutes, and all I’ve heard is chitchat between the ladies about favorite movies they like, who looks like them in the movie, the parties they went to etc. and I haven’t even heard anything about the actual show. I don’t know them, and I’m not interested in all of that chitchat. I decided I don’t want to go through that for every episode so I will not follow them any longer. Don’t even know how the show is I never got that far.

Ugh…
Always loved this podcast. It was my #1 go-to no matter what. I’ve had to stop several episodes recently due to political and religious biases. They have every right to their opinion, and despite some differences over the years, I’ve always loved them and listened to every episode—more than once! But I find it harder to listen to them week by week. They don’t want to people to “hate” others over differences but all they do is hate demographics that don’t fit inline with their beliefs. Just disappointed…

Boring & Pushing their Political Agenda
I was excited to find another true crime podcast but this isn’t it. Stories aren’t exciting and it takes 20+ minutes to even get into them. Also not sure why you guys feel the need to push your political beliefs. You talk like the majority of America is liberal. You’re chasing off so many listeners.

Late to the party but loving it!
Second Review: Still loving it 6 months later. I think I’m up to about 125-150 episodes, both old and new. The way they’ve evolved over the years is pretty amazing. I love that they don’t do just murder stories, their banter is still there, and they talk openly about their mental health tribulations and more. And I’ve learned a lot from their stories. Still got lots to finish and looking forward to them all. I will say..they’re not perfect, but then again, no one is, and you’re never going to find that in a podcast. However they’re doing what they love and I love listening to them. First Review: I’ve only been listening for about a week now and am binging as much as possible. I’ve listened to both old and new episodes, plus have read articles, reviews, FB post etc to see why this particular podcast is so blown up. I love the banter (even though initially I didn’t) and appreciate the raw honesty of most of the opinions from K & G. I also how so much has evolved over the episodes (I’ve listened to about 30 already). Unfortunately this topic isn’t a “fun” or “easy” one, and I feel as the banter/opinions help ease the pain of it. Also…it’s their show and they can do what they want with it (that’s aimed at those who complain). SSDGM

Love this podcast. But...
Third review; I’ve been a listening since day one. And, I’m so happy things have settled into a rythem we can count on. But, always a but, Katen, have you decided you just can’t produce a story that isn’t uplifting? The podcast you started AND sold to Wondery was “My favorite Murder” not my favorite survival story. That’s a different podcast. If that’s what you want? Then do that. But, please stop trying to reinvent a genre you heartily pushed forward. Second Reveiw:4 stars It seems the girls have run out of material. And, I agree it’s difficult in a pandemic to hold your focus but, shorting the full episode to just one case? It seems to cheapen the honor of your first enthusiasm. Good luck but, I hope you’re efforts will bring me bad as the rabid fan I was until recently. First Reveiw: 5 stars These women are strong in opinion and in language. I appreciate the humor and compassion that is constantly on board. It’s very entertaining and you feel like your sitting around with friends talking. It does get frustrating though... 1). I like the hometown Murders better than the 1 1/2 hours of the ladies mispronunciations and swearing. It’s really almost unbearable when Georgia tries to lead you through a case that is it a language other than English. It might be my own fault that I get hung up on whose doing what but, Karen jumps in from a totally different directions and, well ... sometimes I just have to skip to the next ‘home town Murders’ because those are interesting and yet sometimes hit close to home. But, in the end for me I ask God to rest the souls that are spoken about here in this podcast. I’m grateful for the information and entertainment. And, Georgia to learn French. I love you ladies. Thank you for your efforts!

The appeal is gone
I have been a long time murderino (since the shows inception). I get the the hosts are growing and changing, and I can respect their need for that. However the show has completely gone in a different direction. We are rarely getting murder content these days and the hosts now have other people doing all of their research. The original years were just so endearing because the hosts seemed so committed and put in the effort. Now they come off as sellouts who have no desire to put in any effort for what we all originally came here for. The original banter is long gone and Georgia’s search for bougie wallpaper seems more important that providing good content. At this point it seems the hosts are just doing this for money and that’s not what the show initially seemed based on. I understand they became popular and found a way to make a living doing this, but partnering with Amazon and ignoring the content we all came here for is rather unfortunate. I sadly am unsubscribing and moving on to better content.

I started listening to MFM when the pandemic hit and I went from working in a large, busy office to working from home. I enjoyed them so much I decided to go back and start from Episode 1. Their advocacy for women’s rights, minority rights and mental health is an added bonus. I highly recommend if you haven’t listened yet!

I’m a longtime listener and now I only listen when I want to be validated about my life decisions. These chicks have a dream job but they’re just sad, angry, old alcoholics. Thank goodness I quit drinking and had children...listening reminds me of what my life could be like. Also, they legitimately think women that have miscarriages are going to jail. Only a childless hag would believe something so stupid and untrue. I probably should give 5 stars for the public service they provide to young women.

Too little murder
The podcast OFTEN doesn’t cover murders anymore. They used to occasionally tell a survival or disaster story, but now they often tell non-murder stories. The mini episodes don’t talk about murder at all. I wish it was a different podcast so I could unsubscribe to it. The banter has become only media suggestions (I think because the women work together so much). I’m going stay subscribed for a few more months, but I’m not excited to see them in my feed anymore.

Jumped the shark
I was a loyal listener since the beginning but have fully stopped at this point— I can’t get down with the sellout to Amazon. Karen and Georgia are fully corporate LA at this point, and it’s extremely obvious both in their storytelling and in their business decisions. The worst political mix of being super pro-police/criminal justice/death penalty while pretending to be super woke liberals. No. Their banter and politics never really bothered me (in that it took up a lot of the episode) but good God, mean what you say.

The two hosts are so self aggrandizing - it never gets old. I check in occasionally. Roseanne and what’s her face have a great dynamic and I’m jealous of their success tbh. They’re phoning it in and asking for money from listeners at every corner… . I just listened to their most recent “hometown stories” and they congratulated a writer’s account of being underage, calling 911 before pulling over by an officer despite drunk driving And attempting to drink from an open container simultaneously. Turns out they were about to be abused by an off-duty police officer, but were saved by the good cops, according to the writer. That’s a “lesson” for listeners, according to MFM. Phew.

Sort by old to new
Older episodes were great but it started trending down around summer 2020. Lots of politics, meh interviews instead of stories and just generally stories that aren’t true crime. Why are we listening to stories about tornados? Gave it 3 stars for the first three years of good podcasts.

Long time listener till around 2020
I use to religiously listen to this show and even loved Karen and Georgias banter before the stories. Now this just feels like a platform for to push their political agenda. It’s ironic cause they always talk about they were outcast or didn’t feel accepted yet they let it me known that anyone who doesn’t agree with them politically are idiots and not welcome.

I adore this podcast !
I love the format, and I love you ladies. The witty banter and intriguing stories are the only things that get me through my workday. For everyone whining about politics: Calm down! The idea that politics and entertainment may never intertwine is outdated and silly. (Besides, I think it's noble that they use their platform to talk about issues close to their hearts! It's inane to expect them to keep quiet.)

SSDG AND LISTEN TO THIS PODCAST
Karen and Georgia have cultivated the most important podcast in my life. Not only do they make me laugh even when I feel like crying, the offer advice and commentary that is incredibly poignant and thought provoking. These women convinced me (someone who thought therapy just didn’t work for her) to go back and try again — and I’m so much better for it. I’ve taken so much from them and applied it to my own life and am not only happier, but love myself more. These women do more than tell scary stories of real life monsters, they inspire their listeners to take back their lives and push through what may seem like the darkest times. These two continue to inspire and educate not just me, but millions all over the planet. Whether you like true crime or not, everyone can take something away from an episode of MFM. Thank you, Karen and Georgia, for being the light at the end of the tunnel for so many.

Narrow minded but think they aren’t
At the end of episode #341 hosts act so upset about people being forced to do something that is wrong and harmful. All the while spending the last two years encouraging people to do just that. Do something new and experimental that didn’t sit right with them. And now that being proven to be scientifically accurate! Hmmmm imagine. I do enjoy the story telling but hate them adding their politics to most shows in such a judgemental way. But it’s there show.

Amazing content from 2016 to present
I have always enjoyed listening to their banter. Now that they have ventured out into including interviews, it’s gives us all a chance to listen to new voices and also gain important information. True crime and murder will always be political and I’m so proud of Karen and Georgia for not shying away from that. They are fully aware of their outreach and how to use their voices, now bringing on expert voices, it’s a great comfort. I’ve been a listener since summer 2020, while I was studying for my boards exam. The show has only gotten better and I can’t wait to see them in person one day.

Used to love this Pod
I really used to love this podcast and listened religiously every week from the beginning. However over the years they have become what they claimed to hate: Judgmental and intolerant of anyone who does agree with their beliefs and politics. The podcast has become increasingly political in a really negative way and it’s hardly about true crime anymore. Makes me sad!

Take your breaks!
I think summer breaks are valuable to the show. The bonus content over the summer was interesting, fresh and entertaining. Even more important, Karen and Georgia just seem so much more relaxed and interested in the stories when they return. The shows since returning from the break have been great. Can’t wait for the return of live shows!

Said Goodbye in 2020
I stopped listening in 2020 after being a loyal listener since the beginning. The conversation strayed from true crime with funny banter and became way too political. I loved listening originally because it was an escape from the everyday stresses of the world. Karen & Georgia used their platform to push their agenda & political ideology while putting down those who didn’t agree with them which also meant they talked down on their listeners who didn’t have the same views as them. I have not come back to listen as it left a bad taste in my mouth from their blatant disrespect for those with differing views and the pull away from enjoyable, lighthearted humor. I will likely never listen again but am choosing to leave a review so people know what they will be in for of they do listen.

All good things must come to an end
After last summer’s burned out and disgruntled break where they only played repeat or live episodes, I was excited to hear Georgia and Karen back at it it. However, as time went on the intro banter got longer, the burnout and disdain became more apparent, and they’ve taken another break to be filled with only interviews and listener stories. I think it’s safe to say the show has come to a natural end. Listening is like being in someone’s house where there’s that uncomfortable feeling that you’re not wanted there. I recommend Small Town Murder where their content has only gotten better and more frequent as the years have gone on, their research is top notch, and they’re still enthusiastic about their podcast.

Telling everyone in America what they should feel bad about and what they should care about and what they need to cancelHow would all of us good people know how to behave without guidance from experts like these two hosts ? It’s a one two punch -First they’re gonna apologize for 15 minutes for something that they said… not because they had an epiphany .. but because it’s issue X is trending on social media and / or person or persons have targeted them directly to let them know how indenture they are -A word they used… A word they didn’t use… A word they should’ve used last year but definitely shouldn’t have used this year… It’s sad.

Stick to the crime
I listened to this podcast as an escape. Now it’s too political and judgmental. I love hearing different opinions and different ways of thinking don’t get me wrong, but the way they ridicule and talk down about different beliefs is too far. Please stop getting so political!
I loved this show and the banter between Georgia and Karen, it has gotten me through so many long car rides and hard days. Lately, however, it has just gotten way too political. Don’t get me wrong, I respect your beliefs but it makes me feel alienated and hated as a listener just because I have different views from you politically. It makes me sad every time y’all prong up politics because I know you will say something uncalled for and so rude and hurtful of anyone who votes differently than you or has different views from you and it’s just not worth it anymore. Listen to Morbid or Wife of Crime instead, far less political and hateful.

I tried to listen to My Favorite Murder and couldn’t get halfway through the first episode because their humor was gross to me. I enjoy listening to this podcast as a true crime and comedy lover! Look, I get these gals need a break. I get they still want to give us content and that’s why they do these guest episodes. The problem is, they go on longer than they say they will. Like they said the month of July in the last podcast of June. Now, it’s almost mid august and we still have guests. I too miss the old MFM and find myself only Listening to minisodes because at least they are interesting. Though the guests are important, most of the true followers know about these orgs or people because they Talk about them or they have their own thing. I hate to say it… but maybe it’s time to end it. who self-sabotages every good thing in her life? These are those women. They are uneducated, childless, and arguably have very little going for themselves. Somehow though, they miraculously struck gold with this podcast. Now...it must die. These two seem incapable of sticking to the formula that first made them a success. In their tiny little minds: “Orange Man Bad” so they CAN’T shut up about it. I’m out. A lot of us are out. When you quit listening like I did, make sure you unsubscribe. I would hate to see these two monetize former fans who they not only don’t care about, but openly revile. Loved the podcast for so long and I do still like the occasional episode as well as the minisodes, but it seems like most of the Thursday episodes are cross promotions or guest interviews which just isn’t what got me into the show. Used to be a great podcast
This used to be one of my favorite podcasts but recently there’s just more chit chat than actual story. I also think while this show has definitely opened up talks about mental health which is great, the hosts are starting to make comments/give advice when they have no formal training or educational background in psychology or therapy. Having many years of your own experience in therapy doesn’t give you a degree. Hope they get back to the show format of previous episodes. Update: so now we are basically getting episodes with no true crime story just interviewing a guest??? need to go back to what made them successful in the beginning.

It used to be a ton better…
My favorite murder is what got me into podcasts, and the early episodes are absolutely fantastic. However over the years it’s basically turned into a political opinion podcast with the murder portion being 10 minutes long. It’s not even that I don’t agree with most of the opinions, but in a world where you can never escape the news I don’t turn on a murder podcast to hear more about politics. They don’t do their own research anymore and it seems like they just run through the murders quickly without truly giving a crap. It’s sad, this used to be a favorite of mine.

Talking about nothing that involves a crime.
Too much talk about nothing relevant about a “favorite murder”. Horrible, when there are so many other true crime podcasts to listen to. Not what I was expecting at all.

Love the older podcast
I loved this show for so long and I am changing my review. They use to have such fun banter, stories and seem to do the research themselves so you felt their enjoyment for the true crime. I know they’ve gotten bigger and popular but they just don’t seem/sound as happy as they use to and their format for podcast are changing and seem less enjoyable. It’s a more serious tone, it doesn’t seem as genuine. I really hope they can go back to their older podcast style. I no longer look forward to their shows, it seems like they’re just going through the motions and you can hear it through their episodes.

Split Podcast/Disrespectful
The first half of the podcast is them playing valley girls. Second half is a poorly researched recounting of murder. The podcast needs to be split into two different shows. One for the valley girls act, one for the murder. Combining the two, along with the half hearted attempt to research the murders, is disrespectful to the victims stories that you profit from.

Listened from the Beginning but Stopped with Amazon Merger
Not much to say. These women sold out. The very companies that they would have disdain for they don’t care about as long as they get their bag. I think the most disgusting thing was that Karen addressed it by saying “People think that they are going to have to start paying for something”. No Karen people are upset that y’all sold out. But they don’t want to have that conversation. Also don’t want to talk about how they hired a predator.

John Wayne Gacy
Hi my name is Whitney, I love your podcast and I have a story you should podcast John Wayne Gacy. He was nicknamed “Killer Clown” because of his job attending children’s birthday parties and charitable events as “Pogo the Clown.” His job gave him easy access to potential victims. Gacy was convicted of raping, torturing, and murdering 33 teenage boys over a six-year period. He would lure them to his home, kill them via either strangulation or asphyxiation, then bury them on his property. Gacy was executed in 1994. If you want to learn more check out Netflix’s Conversations with a Killer: The John Wayne Gacy Tapes Hope you enjoy it ✌🏻

But here I am, just to say, thank you so much for having this moment with Kara Robinson Chamberlain. It’s insane when everything one persona words just clicks. Tell the story first
Please tell the story and then talk about it. Your episodes tend to start with 15 minutes of banter about a story that hasn’t been told yet. Assume your listeners are brand new to the subject matter and want to be educated about the case. Interject your thoughts along the way, but please start the story within the first five minutes.

What was that
My first episode (333) will also be my last. It kicked off with 20 minutes of inane and irrelevant conversation and plentiful ads; presented a slightly interesting unsolved disappearance, then an actually interesting recent crime spree, all dispensed with unbearable stream-of-consciousness reactions. Noo thank you.

I love this show and listen every week, but I miss the fun chit chat and the stories. While the interviews are good, I am a little disappointed to see them for the last three weeks. I would have preferred mixing them in with real eps every couple weeks. Unlike other reviewers, I don't mind the politics. I believe that you cannot talk about true crime and the laws that govern where those crimes take place, without discussing politics. Please keep giving us your true and authentic selves, because it does nobody any good when you don't. ❤️

Not a fan
I listened to this podcast for a bit and as time went on I just started feeling more and more bothered by it. I listen to true crime a lot, I also listen to true crime that has comedy in it. But I only feel okay with it when the comedy is separate from the crime or targeted toward the perpetrator. I don’t know if it’s how peppy they are when talking about crime or congratulating each other at the end of the story? Like the wow, great job, that was amazing, etc that they say to each other after sharing about a brutal murder. It just rubs me the wrong way. Maybe it’s also the live shows they do? I guess that involves the fans as well. When they say the story today is about xyz murder case and the crowd cheers it just feels gross.

This podcast has totally gone downhill
My sister and I used to love this podcast and now we neither listen anymore. The hosts seem completely uninterested in the podcast anymore and half the time the episode will come out and instead of being it’s usual format, it’ll be a celebrity interview or something else. Most podcast do those are episodes on other days of week, not for their main episode! It’s too bad that it’s just fallen apart.

I used to love this podcast, and still love the regular episodes, but so many of the “new” eps from the past 2 years have been replays/clips of past episodes and live shows or interviews with guests instead of the actual premise of the hosts telling stories. Sooo late to the this party
I recently started listening to MFM about a month ago and have been frantically trying to catch up to the current episodes. It is amazing to hear Karen and Georgia talk about some unsolved murders/crimes from the earlier episodes that in more recent months has been solved (AKA Golden State Killer & Sherri Papini). I’m pretty sure that listening to 2 to 3 episodes a day has my husband very worried. But he’s sexy, so he won’t get murdered!

Alienation
It’s baffling to me when wildly successful people decide to alienate half the people that had once admired and supported them, by injecting their politics where it need not be. There’s a time and place for everything. It’s your show, so you can do what you want, but it’s a shame to disappoint so needlessly, particularly when you consider the benefit you’re getting by doing so. Kind of shooting yourself in the foot.

Too political
If I wanted to hear political views, I would seek out a podcast about politics. Every episode I attempted to listen to always went to pushing the agenda of the week, which wasn’t part of the crime being covered. A complete let down. Heading off to listen to true crime podcasts that leave out political opinions and stick to the story their covering.

Shifted
This show WAS great however the increase in political discussion is a put-off. One-sided views with unsupported facts to back it up. Understand if you have a public platform that you want to use it but isn’t this a true crime Podcast? That type of discussion is everywhere and this Pod used to be a great escape from it, not anymore. Go back to the Pod’s roots.

Lunch Lady Eats Up this Podcast
Seriously funny yet courteous to the somberness of true crime. Don’t think that because these two are openly opposed to Republicans that you can’t take away fantastic views and messages that can alter your hard core thinking. I’m never going to be swayed from my right leaning beliefs but I honestly appreciate their outlook on current events. I listen to this while cooking for 539 kids every day (lunch lady life) and thankfully I work alone like a slave for next to nothing because I burst into giggles and laughter often. I’ve been a fan since the beginning, gone to several live shows and all that, and I never thought I would unfollow this podcast, but here we are. Not A Comedy True Crime Podcast
It’s more of an excuse to air their political beliefs. A podcast is definitely a way to do that, but these ladies seem to do so manipulatively. Like, hey do you like true crime and comedy? You’ll get twenty minutes of that while the other 3/4s of the episode is a political soapbox. Kinda of like Sword and Scale, except in S&S at least the majority of the episode is the actual telling of someone’s real story— you know, giving the victim an actual voice? MFM does the exact opposite and uses people’s tragedy as an in to get their own agenda out there. And people pay them to do so. Real classy. I listen to other true crime comedies who do share their opinions, but they don’t do so narcissistically.

I don’t always agree with your politics and yes sometimes I cringe. I have been on either side and in between of the political spectrum. (I can change my mind. Right? Lol). At the end of your story you mention the building that was turned into condos in the late ‘90’s. That was our first condo we lived in when we had our first baby!!!! Trying to Stick Around
Few podcasts have made me laugh as much as this one- I LOVE your dry wit and conversational skill. Thoroughly appreciate everything about this, though I’ve simply shelved some differing politics opinions. I don’t mind disagreeing with people- I just listen here for entertainment anyway. But lately, we’re all getting it from all sides and your podcast is not an escape anymore. It’s almost felt as if you’re pushing those with differing beliefs away, and don’t want us enjoying your jokes and storytelling if we disagree with your politics or views on covid. This is simply my feedback- If you want to run a true crime podcast with the amount of politics it currently contains, then that is your right to do so. But people like me might have to (very sadly) unsubscribe.

I loved listening in the past, but the last few months the weekly Th show seems more like a chore to them. They don’t seem to be into true crime as much as they used to be. With all the political frustrations we are bombarded with daily, I wish they would keep off their soapboxes. Linda Ronstadt
Not a biggie, but Linda Ronstadt practically forced The Eagles to become their own band. It never once was “we don’t want to be in a girl band.” They have always credited her and paid homage to her for them becoming the Eagles because of the opportunity she gave them. She knew Glenn Fry and Don Henley prior and they also knew each other prior to playing in her band as backup. She told them they need to form a band and go off on their own, not the situation you’re describing.

I loved this podcast and listened frequently until the girls made some really gross comments about religion. Especially in this day and age of (some, not all) people trying so hard to come together and accept each other, fighting for rights and tolerance, you girls are part of the problem by talking badly about something you clearly know nothing about. If I were you I’d keep my personal ill informed opinions about religion to myself and focus on telling true crime stories instead.

Wonderful podcast, few observations.
Been listening for a minute and I just as several listeners appreciate the light hearted banter. I think it is important however that Karen and Georgia recognize sensitive and triggering points in a story and resist from side bar-ing. They could probably have the jokes and Banter before and after the horrific stories because in as much as we all love these stories they are actual peoples LIVES. This is not fiction, at the very least respect the lives of the victims by NOT cracking jokes in the middle of retelling their (and every sane persons)worst nightmare. I do appreciate Karen’s bold take on current political issues and the podcasts generosity to several wonderful initiatives.

Too political
The hosts assume everyone who listens to their shows are progressive liberals and agrees with everything they believe.

- Wondery Presents: Frozen HeadHosted by Ash Kelley and Alaina Urquhart from the hit show Morbid. When 90-year-old Laurence Pilgeram drops dead on the sidewalk outside his condo, you might think that’s the end of his story. But, really, it’s just the beginning. Because Laurence and others like him have signed up to be frozen and brought back to life in the future. And that belief will pull multiple generations of the Pilgeram family into a cryonics soap opera filled with dead pets, gold coins, grenades, fist fights, mysterious packages, family feuds, Hall of Fame baseball legends, and frozen heads — lots of frozen heads. From Wondery, comes a story about life, death, and what comes next. Follow Frozen Head on Amazon Music or wherever you get your podcasts.
