S02 E07 / How Death Metal Led to Classical Music | A Music Junkies Podcast with Tobin of The Pug Ugly Mugs

Are you wondering too?  Tobin explains that the name The Pug-Ugly Mugs came from "pug-ugly" being what is so ugly it's cute, and mugs is another word for bass, so it's really about being yourself instead of trying to be perfect.  You are your pug-ugly self. :)

Tobin thought it was time for NEW SHIT.  He started with the guitar and then wanted something more accessible.  He's at the point where he can pick up almost any instrument and fudge his way through it.  The bass guitar is his favorite at this time, and his worst instrument to him is the theremin.  What the hell is that?  Listen to find out, or google it.

Being a writer, T'WASN'T always easy because Tobin didn't have the discipline.  He's worked on that.  I think many of us have a LAZY SYMPATHY for procrastination.

As a writer, he has new stories coming out that are about a wizard and includes philosophy, and sci-fi.  It's about exploring the different concepts of reality.

Tobin's words of wisdom... try not to take too much stock about what other people think.

You can find Tobin on Instagram by looking up The Pug-Ugly Mugs.

Albert Einstein said, 'If you can't explain it simply enough, you haven't understood it well enough'.Dr Andrew brings such simplicity to explaining the workings of the brain. It's actually a hacker's guide into our own brain. You are doing great service to humanity Dr Andrew.
