Really great podcast
Murderific has quickly become one of my favorite true crime podcasts. Bernadette and her guests are all engaging, funny, the research is well done, and they aren’t afraid to speak the truth about situations and issues within our society that lead to so many violent crimes and murders. It’s scary voicing your opinions publicly, especially as someone trying to grow an audience - it’s so easy to alienate people, so I find Bernadette particularly fearless in this regard because she uses her voice as an advocate for those underrepresented, overlooked, and abused by our society. And she does it in a way that engages the audience and keeps me coming back for more. Thanks for all you do for your listeners and for victims of violent crimes and abuse. Keep up the great work! A review of your JW podcast
I have not been involved with that religion for over 30 years. I have not seen most of my family in over 30 years. But your gleeful disbandment of the religion is laughable. Is there any organized religion of any stature that is not hard it’s moral and legal problems. I’m not going to wait for an answer from you because you’re giggling and patting yourselves on the back during your podcast but my sister sent me this because she thought it was “awesome“ and it just made me laugh. Tackle something important like the Catholic Church and what’s been going on for 1000 years. I suggested to my sister but she never listens to this goofy podcast again. But she probably well. Good luck to you so I was good to pick and choose your battles. But you got to be honest it’s a big world.

I tried. I really tried to like this podcast. I’m so sick of liberal twits like this spewing all of their leftist nonsense. It’s a TRUE CRIME podcast!!! If you want to do a political podcast, by all means do so. I won’t be listening to that either. This chick tries way too hard to bow to the woke nonsense. It’s appalling. I’m pro choice, pro LGTBQ+, pro gun, pro freedom of speech but I will never understand foolish people like this who feel the overwhelming need to bow down to all things left just to appease the woke mob! I hope my one star review loses you all of the listeners you deserve to lose

Didn’t seem genuine
You lost me in the first 4 minutes of the Chris Benoit episode because just kept saying he was one of the greatest technical wrestlers of all time, over and over because you read that. You aren’t knowledgeable on the topic and couldn’t name more than 2 other wrestlers. Just repeating and reciting information is very generic and makes the podcast boring. If you don’t care enough to use a thesaurus then you shouldn’t do this.

lazy research. it’s offensive.
i tried to listen to the matricide episode but couldn’t even get to the actual crime because of the lazy comment that FGM is part of islam. that is beyond false and such a dangerous comment. FGM comes from patriarchal cultures and it is not condoned at all in Islam. OBGYN’s in the US still do an “extra stitch” after birth on some women yet they don’t receive the association to religion. it has everything to do with the cultures we ALL live in that hate women. Don’t act like FGM is some act only plaguing pitiful people living in oppressive countries worlds away when it’s happening right in front of your face. Muslims have enough on our plate without people recklessly blaming us for the world’s disgusting acts.

The 1 ⭐️ reviews from people complaining about the laughing just need to stop. If you don’t like the podcast get over it and MOVE ALONG!
I appreciate that the podcast is REAL and not super polished, it’s a nice change from the overly produced shows out there.
Listening to Murderific makes me feel like I’m just chatting with friends about my favorite subject - TRUE CRIME!
Again, if you’re gonna be OVERLY sensitive about these cases maybe don’t listen to a True Crime Podcast 🤷🏻♀️😏

Too Tier True Crime Podcast
This podcast is very well produced and edited. It covers true crime in the US and addresses issues in current media and culture. The hosts are emotionally mature women who lend their own feelings and insights without using profanity and slurs. They are inclusive and sensitive. If you are looking for law enforcement bashing, racism, or white supremacy you will need to go elsewhere. I look forward to and enjoy every upload.

Worst serial killer podcast ever!!!
Terrible! My first time listening to the podcast was about Daniel Camargo Barbosa. He was a horrible rapist and murderer from Colombia whose victims were about 180 girls and women in the 70s. Bernadette, the podcasted, mention that him, and Colombians Pedro Lopez and Luis Garabito were on the top 5 serial killers. Then she added “MAYBE DONT TO THERE (Colombia) FOR VACATION”. Seriously.. is like saying don’t go to Wisconsin cause Ed Gain and Jeffery Dahmer killed a bunch of people in the 50s and 70s...
She also explained how Camargo killed girls all over Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. And again her reaction is “what is going on down there??!!”
Well Bernadette, same thing that was happening all over the world in the 70s- serial killer doing their thing.
I also don’t like how she doesn’t even try to pronounce Spanish names correctly “cuinto” instead of “Quito”... etc
I really disliked this podcast. Bernadette should keep her opinion for herself and maybe she can attract new listeners.

Binging my new amazing true crime find!
I can’t remember how I found you, but I’m very glad I did. You provide enough facts to feel how horrible the story is with just enough personality and humor to give it some levity without disrespecting the people involved. And can I say that I love Australia’s no body no release law mentioned in Mini Episode #6. If we don’t have that law in every state in the US, we absolutely should. I don’t believe in closure, but having your loved ones remains to bury instead of having horrible thoughts about where they be has to help get them on the road to healing as much as they can.

I would rate this 5 star but, the female host of this show really likes to laugh, poke fun, and be simply inappropriate when talking about details that have any gruesome details. It’s just weird. Why are you giggling and laughing? Super strange in my opinion.

Culturally Insensitive
I am a new listener. Just heard the episode on stalking. 1. You are ignorant about Indian culture and unabashedly spreading the ignorance. Educate yourself before you make fun of an alien culture. If your depiction of the culture was right, Indian men would form the majority of stalkers, which they don’t. Educate yourself before you spout off ignorance about a over a billion people. Otherwise, the podcast is very listenable.

Abhorrently Inappropriate
Who in their right mind would think it’s appropriate to giggle & laugh so incessantly when speaking of the deaths of innocent people!? To listen to someone interpreting this subject matter as ‘funny’ is incredibly triggering & harmful. It’s clear the host isn’t intelligent enough to cover true crime as she can’t help but bust out laughing at the horrific details. She’s better off covering a topic that doesn’t require any brain power or respect for others. If you want to feel incredibly uncomfortable & sick to your stomach, give this host a try, she’ll make sure to deliver! 😒😒

I found this podcast recently and I love it, I listen to ALOT of podcasts, originally from L/A Maine Lewiston/Auburn now in Florida. Finding a podcast that is from Maine is pretty interesting. I don't like that they are just obviously reading from a paper. Would like a more story telling format like as if you were talking with a friend. Also, it seems like they're afraid to say the graphic nature of what happened in certain crimes. It's obviously a true crime podcast, no reason to be modest. Overall, I do like the variety of cases covered and host seems nice/respectful to the families of victims enough

MY FAVORITE True Crime Podcast!
Murderific is by far my favorite true crime podcast. I listen to it when I work and am always looking forward to new episodes. Bernadette is respectful of the victims and their families but also lightens up the doom and gloom with some funny commentary. She is an extremely relatable host not a robot reading from a script. My favorite co hosts are Rebekah and Casey. They both have great chemistry with the host and that definitely comes through for the listeners. As they say in the intro this podcast is not for the faint of heart so if you’re really offended maybe move along but if you want to hear the real, uncensored stories, this is the podcast to listen to! Keep up the amazing work!!

Thoughtful and Thorough
Murderific is a two person run podcast. There are several different guest hosts. Bernadette covers many different topics including cases from Maine. The cases from Maine are of special interest because Maine has such a low crime rate and the hosts add much first hand knowledge. The podcast wastes no time getting right into the aspects of the case but the host and guest hosts add a lot of personality. It is clear that host has compassion for the victims and the victims families. I look forward to every episode and LOVE the Patreon episodes. Listen to this podcast and recommend it!

I love the straight forward approach to this podcast. Some podcasts sound over produced and the hosts are trying to hard to be funny. Supports looting, burning & violence by black thugs
George Floyd was killed by a rogue, white cop—this is a rare event if you look at police violence statistics. There are actually mor whites killed by cops than blacks.
This does not give black thugs the right to loot, burn the businesses, hurt & murder whites. The “white guilt” shown by the two female podcasters is sickening. They believe that whites are the cause of the problems in black communities.
Blacks commit far more violent (as well as non-violent) crimes against whites than whites commit against blacks.
I am unsubbing from this podcast immediately.

Tried to like it....didn’t take
I initially got into this because I live in Maine and thought it was interesting. But listening to the host and guests speaking loudly to each other (when not in the same room), disrespectfully giggling like preteens and making stupid jokes in the middle of reading about horrific crime makes me sick. No professionalism. No respect. And aside from that the bathroom acoustics are horrible. Skip this one and listen to cold case files or even dateline.

There is so much laughing while talking about the murders- so disrespectful! And I don’t want to hear about white privilege so much. And no Trump bashing. Could be a great podcast as the content is interesting, but do a political podcast if you want to rant!

Good host, great cases, terrible guests
This show host, Bernie, picks great cases to discuss and has an interesting delivery & nice voice. However, some “guests” are absolutely awful - trying too hard for a laugh and failing miserably. I’m perfectly okay with murder commentary if it’s on point and stays on the side of respectful to the victim. I had to turn off Ep. 23 because the guest was so bad - irreverent, irrelevant, inane and annoying. Bernie did not reign her in and honestly should have scrapped the episode. I believe Bernie (and sometime guests Casey & Tim) have the makings of a good show here & should not let stupidity drag it down & ruin it for her, or listeners. I’ll give another episode a try before signing off completely.

This podcast sound like it’s recorded in a bathroom. The Hosts sounds like my 10 year old reading out loud.. not like a host well versed in the subject matter, but more like someone cold reading someone else’s writing.

I just love this podcast so much. It is evident how much thought, preparation, and study goes into it. Fantastic host with really good guests, it just flows from one part of the crime to the next. Not bad, but not good either.
The mispronunciations of simple words was super distracting. Sound quality was subpar at best and the hosts were boring. How they have gotten to three seasons is beyond me. Skip this one and try a more professional and higher quality podcast.

MOST EXCELLENT CONTENT
Cases are reviewed thoroughly and with a sense of empathy and wit coming from the host. Maine hardly ever gets covered in true crime which is mind boggling to me as there are so many odd and mysterious cases comin out of there. Only wish there were more episodes to listen to right now, as ive gone through them all lol
(And that there were more Maine based episodes, of which Im sure there will be plenty in the future)

Passion for the story!

Truth, facts, and no hype or slick packaging
I like the obscurity of some these cases. I’ve not heard of them before. The style is reminiscent of straightforward, old school reporting. The facts are presented, there is no bias or commentary, Bern is not trying to impress anyone, there is no annoying music, and the listener is treated with great respect. We are trusted with making our own decisions based on actual facts.
I wish other podcasts would stop their frenzied, biased, foul mouthed approaches and return to quiet, truthful reporting.

Like the podcast but....
I love all true crime podcasts and I really do like this one, I want to like it more but I feel like the host laughs too much and it makes me uncomfortable at times.. She makes jokes and laughs at serious times and it is just inappropriate to victims and their family. Death and rape is serious and shouldn’t be taken so lightly.
I am not a serious person so I do understand she is trying to make it not so disturbing, but there is a fine line...
I will continue to listen but moving forward I hope she recognizes this!

Bern does a nice job with guests talking about the background and the murders. I like how she gives background on the issues involved and sets it all up before getting into the details. But the casual nature of the conversation is textbook podcasting. You can drive or work out and feel like they're right with you just having a convesation with you. Great True Crime Pod!
If you are like me, you listen to all the true crime, ALL OF IT. What I like about this pod that makes it different is the format: different guest every show. This keeps it feeling new and fresh on every episode! What a great idea. Keep up the great work 🙌🏻. PS loved the wrestling episode, what a strange world wrestling is and I am surprised there isn’t more murder happening given all the weird antics.
