Why the shift?
This used to be one of my favorite podcasts about life, relationships, love and now it’s become so random… and boring. Convos are not unique or inspiring but tedious life meanderings. What happened?

Not sure
I used to like this podcast. But it’s changed it’s content. There’s too much content being pushed about politics, cancel culture, toxic media, Covid misinformation etc. In my opinion it’s switched from human relations / to hot topics that are controversial, push one sided agendas and you’ve drifted off course. Please bring that advice that you started with. Dive deeper with real professionals on psychology of human interactions and healing relationships.

Eye Opening and the Variety of guest!! Love
I’ve never reviewed a podcast before. A lot of them seem very superficial and are only good for what I call surface listening. This podcast has me hooked because of the vulnerability it displays. As Someone that struggles with vulnerability themselves, but also has a strong respect for it, this podcast has helped validate a lot of my needs and or wants that I have been searching for in my relationships. Like I’m not asking for to much. Which I’m also a person who buries my needs or wants for fear of being a burden on the people in my life. It also reminds you that most of us feel and have very similar needs and encourages you to give yourself the permission to feel and talk about it. Love it. Thank you.

Outstanding Podcast!
I forget where I’d originally heard about this podcast but it is outstanding! There are so many nuggets of wisdom! I can’t exactly remember the first episode I listened to but one episode that has stuck in my mind is the Imago communication technique—extremely useful information. Keep up the great work, Mark!

So I only listened to one episode- an interview with Tim Ballard. If all of Mark Groves’ podcasts are equally filled with such anti gay disinformation and propaganda I want no part of any more. I expect an interviewer to question their subject, not parrot their talking points.

Enriching
Mark Grove’s podcast is the most important podcast I’ve come across with a focus on interpersonal relationships yet! The tools I’ve learned and received from him and his guests have been invaluable. Follow this podcast and listen to every episode- you’ll laugh and cry and learn and your life will be better for it. ps: Some of my favorite eps are the Mark solo episodes! He’s honest, authentic, humble and it shows that he’s on this journey of self-discovery with us as well. I look forward to when he writes his first book as I’ll be first in line to buy. What a gift!

After 25 years in the spiritual/self growth world, it is easy to tell who “gets it” and who doesn’t. Mark gets it - and he’s found a way of spreading the voices of others who do as well. This is what the world needs more of - keep it up, and thank you!

Mark Groves taught me to be a good person
I’ve been following Mark and this podcast for several years now. I was looking for an awakening and a way to better understand all of my unhealthy patterns in relationships. I’m a serial over-extender/people pleaser and tend to seek out relationships that mirror some unpleasant patterns from my childhood. I have learned so much about love, honesty, showing up for yourself, codependency, etc. I recommend this show to everyone I know and it will never be enough people.

I met Mark at a small retreat he hosted in 2016. Witnessing his commitment and growth from that point is inspiring. He truly is the magnetic human that we feel from his interviews. He’s genuine. He’s vulnerable. And he’s also hilarious and ridiculous. A whole hearted human that we are positively influenced by. Mark… thank you for being a force for good in my life and so many others! Game Changer
Firstly, I love your podcast and following you on Instagram! All of your posts and interviews have helped me so much, so thank you! I just finished listening to #177 the podcast titled The Body Doesn’t Lie with Manon Mathews. This podcast was a game changer for me and helped me so much to get to that next level of self care and setting another boundary, that was much needed. I recently ended a 2 year relationship with a man with a similar story to Manon’s. The main difference was I didn’t marry him, thankfully! After listening to this podcast today, I found the courage to finally block him, which was the final step that I needed for me to fully heal so that I can truly let go and move on. I’m so grateful to you Mark, for being so great at what you do, and asking the right questions in your interviews and also to Manon for her vulnerability and transparency. Thanks again for sharing such an important and incredible story! Amazing podcast! 🙏❤️

New format?
I’m an avid listener of this podcast and while I appreciate what seems like new efforts to upgrade the kind of offerings that the podcast has included I’m having trouble with feels like a much longer on-ramp before the conversations start. I looked at the particular episodes of late and it takes about eight minutes before things start—then a few “and now…” w musical interlude? I’m not a big fan of this new production style even though I know it’s necessary to do advertisements. It drags out too long. I especially love the back-and-forth conversations no matter the subject—Peter Crone, Terri Cole, etc.— sprinkled along with solo episodes but I find myself lately fast forwarding to get to the good stuff since it seems like a lot of throat clearing with “and now…” and then “wait! One more thing…”. Any way to tighten it up?

Love this podcast
I love the MG Podcast! I read a lot of this stuff already in my free time while also reading a fair amount of other ones in school, but this podcast is great at bringing it all together. I recommend it to everyone on an ever-changing, ever-healing journey!!! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been contemplating making emotional space for something new or considering a certain subject on a certain day… and I turn on an episode or a new ep comes out that seems to read my mind. Serendipitous at the least! The alignment is really odd, sometimes. Anyway, I’ve been driving Lyft for extra cash in between my next role, and I listen to the mark groves podcast in my car (more often than music). People start great convos just hearing it playing, sparks lovely debates, and internal inquiries. Along with my current studies in psych (in school with goals to become a therapist), the podcast in my car and riders… I’ve thought of my car as the therapy car. Haha! Quick in and out and you feel a little better then when you arrived!! People talk about how much better they feel… Thanks, Mark, for all you do—-you make a massive difference in peoples lives, for real. You’ve inspired me to start my own mental health podcast! First episode coming within the next week or two (gotta figure out the intro music sitch), already got a name “MindREset”, Anyway, thanks for being you and showing up for all of us!!!

Therapist approved!
I have a love for learning (for human behavior) and admittedly could qualify for podcast addiction! I’ve listened to many of Mark Groves Podcasts and as a therapist myself, I can tell you the information is correct. Unfortunately, I’ve listened to other podcasts where the advice suggested could have unintended consequences if that person is not prepared to utilize that advice. On another note, he scores many guests that are at the top of their field. As Mark talks, I hear him correct himself and do the work in real-time. He has the most important attributes of human growth-radical accountability and radical compassion. And was gifted with a “radio-voice” that is easy to pay attention to.

Mark is SIMPLY THE BEST!
Mark’s podcast was suggested to me by a friend a month ago and I cannot stop listening to him. He is realistic, down to earth, genuine and funny at times. His upbeat demeanor regardless of topic makes me feel good. The experts he interviews are wonderful and their back and forth exchange is well done. It’s easy to listen too, but most importantly the topics are AMAZING. I am very thankful to have his podcast in my life. There are so many topics and advice available to learn. It has helped me. There’s not an episode where my mind has not been blown. Thankful for you Mark!

This man is incredible. The passion he has towards relationships and the way he speaks through words is truly a gift. Had to Change My Review
I had left a review of Mark’s podcast years ago, because I really loved the show and the expert psychologists he had on the show as guests, but things have taken a turn with the pandemic. We always hear that Mark is open to both sides of the argument when it comes to all things pandemic related, but I’ve not seen any medical professionals, psychologists, or experts interviewed who agree with the general scientific/medical consensus…if he’s so suggestible to both sides of the argument(s), wouldn’t it make sense to interview those on both sides of the aisle? I found the interview with Matthias Desmet to be very biased, and wrote a lot of people off for human behaviour—ohh, so I’m a sheep who’s been hypnotized by the government because I listened to my cardiologist cousin who’s life was turned upside down, and studied the ever changing science voraciously? And it’s import to remember that science isn’t lying because it’s changing—when it changes, it’s because there’s new data to analyze and make meaning out of. Moreover, a lot of the supporting information in these covid episodes cherry pick what works for the argument, without telling the whole story… This wasn’t the only episode that rubbed me the wrong way either. And I’m not going to say that these are “dangerous” thoughts, but I do think that it’s important to understand that a lot of the movements that are associated with anti-vax, anti-mask, etc are closely related to whites supremacist movements (i.e. Truckers for Freedom); which is never mentioned as a caveat in any of these podcasts—like, it’s not a human right to eat out at a restaurant, and I’ve heard people who follow this podcast say nutty things like that. Maybe there are divisive policies, but they’re rooted in choice; and it’s more responsible to show people both sides of the story when it comes to public health.

I found you at the perfect moment.
I cannot thank you enough for the work that you do. Your podcast entered my life at the exact moment I needed it. I recently went through a very hurtful breakup and your episode Attachment Theory 101 with Silvy felt as if you were speaking directly to me. I gained so much needed clarity and insight into the ending of the relationship. I have since listened to the majority of your podcasts and the amount of self awareness they have brought me is profound. I still and will always have work to do, but I appreciate you igniting my desire to do so. You’re a good one, Mark! Truly grateful.

I am so grateful for this podcast. Mark brings such depth, insight, nuance and truth to one of the subjects we as humans spend such immense time and energy on in this life, our relationships ~ both with ourselves and others. His guests are all genius, and Mark himself is the thread of continuity as he continuously shows up with an open heart, a quick mind, and his ability to be vulnerable, speak his truth, and ask the good and hard questions that bring us closer to ourselves, and each other. My only regret is that I did not find his work and podcast sooner. Thank you, Mark! ❤️

Disappointed
Mark really changed how I view relationships, but as an immunologist working hard on covid, I can no longer listen as he’s now bizarrely political and spews misinformation at every chance. Please stop pushing away your fans. He says to be open, but he has become starkly divisive.

I wanted to like this podcast
But when he started to talk about the media’s “fear mongering” around COVID, I became suspicious. Then I learned he had Zach Bush as a guest—who is basically the Jordan Peterson of COVID misinformation—and I had a really hard time listening to anything Mark had to say about toxic behavior. His content seems like the “gateway drug” of mental health podcasts that leads people down a rabbit hole of medical misinformation and conspiratorial thinking.

Incredibly expansive
Can not recommend enough. I have loved Mark’s podcast for years, and continue to admire & respect him as he deepens his work. He has helped me tremendously with my own relational awareness and I truly do not know where I would be without absorbing this dialogue over the years. Additionally, I love how Mark has been recently speaking out against the mainstream narratives and being the very example of curiosity, inquiry, vulnerability and truth - in these “controversial” questions and conversations - that he has consistently spoken of for so long. He invites us to think openly, love more deeply, and challenge ourselves in worldview & beliefs, all in the name of personal expansion and alignment. So grateful for Mark and this podcast. Thank you, Mark! Can’t wait to have you on my own podcast someday.

You still might like him despite bad reviews RE: Covid stuff
Some folks recently did not like the Covid bits, but you still may want to give him a listen . There are many sides to the story and I welcome hearing them all! You can still make up your own minds. The major network presenters on TV aren't sciencists either and they have views that we all hear every day.

Use To Be Good…Until He Became Obsessed With Covid
I miss the days when he focused on what we was an expert on: relationships. Last I checked, he’s not a researcher nor does he have a lab. His expertise on relationships is 💯💯💯 spot on, but lately he goes into these weird conspiracy like COVID tangents. Very sad and disappointing.

Used to be a huge fan
Mark Groves has helped me in so many ways, when it comes to relational issues, and for that I’m forever grateful. But his kick on pandemic/lockdown related stuff and his bias when it comes to how it’s been handled has gotten really old. My favorite podcast
I can’t relate with all of the episodes that mark puts on here but I do believe that when I started listening to him in 2019 he completely changed my life. I believe he is honest about his journey and tries to find guests that resonate with the message that he is trying to portray which is to create the love you need. I formerly believed that there was something wrong with how I viewed things in relationships because i often wanted something not traditional but after hearing these episodes I realized you are In charge of creating the love you seek. And if that’s how you feel mark has some amazing guest that can help guide you on your journey.

I can not adequately express my gratitude to you and the guests you speak with. This podcast and your breakup recovery program(still on week three, cuz it’s hard) has been transformative and continues to blow my heart wide open. Listening to you and other men talk about life, love and the human condition allows me “to see to believe” men DO want to connect emotionally, spiritually and physically not only within relationship but with themselves. That this is a value that men carry autonomously and that y'all truly value being “in it” not out of some obligatory relational demand. Thank you Mark Groves💜🤯🤯🤯 Warmly, Jasmine Dowswell

After this lockdown episode, I threw in the towel. Without the lockdowns, we’d be in the state that India, for example, is in (since their idiot in command deemed them unnecessary). I prefer my medical advice from an actual MD and not a PhD in Economics or a Human Relations Specialist. Your opinion is….your opinion. Mark, stick to the topics you are good at. I’m sure tons of people can benefit from a podcast about post COVID-19 mental health. Peace, brother.

Biased conversation about lockdowns
Really, we should all know stats can be manipulated to serve any argument. I know lockdowns in other countries can be far more restrictive than in the US. Lockdowns def changed things, is making work difficult - but if I had friends I wanted to touch and parents to see that were comfortable.. I did that. Some people are really afraid and some aren’t- but still, there were a lot of deaths here- and not enough hospital space to care for them- and that is the problem. As far as government not letting people “adult”- frankly most don’t. They will get on a plane sick. I wouldn’t mind seeing a pros/ cons honest discussion about this- it’s not here. So tired of the idea that when people don’t agree with you- they are closed minded. As far as freedom in Texas- they have passed the most draconian laws making abortion difficult to impossible. Oh, and they just passed an actual law the national anthem before all sporting events....wha??

I’ve been a fan of Mark for quite a few years now. I rediscovered his work about a month ago after a couple year hiatus when I was about to begin a 1 month, no contact break with my partner. Bro!!
I aspire to the heights of understanding myself in relationships the way you do. This is not the short bus class, although I suspect there are some short bus people fairing better than I in relationships. Perhaps due to less of the unhealed, unhealthy conditioned responses to uncover, dismantle and discard. Relationship is so full of joy, it is equally full of painful challenges in both honoring myself as well as throwing away old, no longer working ideas I have about myself. Anyway, love the show. Thanks

deeper connection to your humanness
I started listening to Mark ~4ish years ago honestly probably because I was in a toxic relationship. This podcast truly helped me wake up and get out of that, but each big transition like that since then: heartbreak, changing jobs, family issues, honestly you name it- this podcast has helped me through. Most of the guests he has on are genuinely cool and he’s even kind of funny sometimes.. like it’s not all serious. And I don’t even agree with him on everything, but I’ve surely become a more authentic person from listening to his conversations. Also! Sometimes the timing of certain episodes feels serendipitous. Like not all the time, but every once in a while, the newest one will have me so frëking shook because it’s particularly poignant to something I’m goin through atm. That happened to me with the last episode, hence this review. ~SO~ if you’re looking for deeper connection in literally any area of your life- to yourself or anyone else- listen to this podcast. I am so so thankful for it 💙 Just look through all the titles of the episodes, pick one that vaguely resonates with you, & give it fifteen minutes. You won’t regret it 🧡 Thanks so much, Mark! The perfect offering in your season of transition
I first discovered mark and create the love when I was going through a difficult time in my relationship, and I believe the episode I first heard was let it burn part 1. It made me wonder whether or not me and my partner needed some space but I soon ignored that because of the discomfort it brought to my belly. Perhaps it was my inner knowing, as Kylie would say. Flash forward a few months later and that inner knowing could no longer be ignored. I find myself on a “break” and let it burn part 2 truly has been so healing and inspiring and has given me so much to look forward to during this time. A couple of other episodes too, like let yourself arrive, have truly shown me the value in the uncomfortable and the transitions and all of the growth that is available to us there. They offer so much value and insight and healing conversations. I am truly so grateful for the work they have done and then shared with the world as it truly is so person, but so so inspiring. Thank you so much Mark, and Kylie too!

Took a turn
Podcast was decent until the “MD” came on. It IS possible to lead a healthy lifestyle (exercise, sunshine, mindfulness and even human connection) AND to also do things for the greater good of society that are backed by researchers and science at the SAME TIME. Masks and vaccines aren’t bulletproof. Nor are they claiming to be. But masks, vaccines AND taking responsibility for your health comes pretty darn close (metaphorically of course).

Life-Changing
After watching the sunrise, I start every morning with a podcast — Mark’s most often. The way that listening to, reflecting upon, and applying the material Mark discusses has changed my lived experience is unreal! I use new language, communicate better, problem-solve differently, practice mindfulness, witness others, speak my truth, and take responsibility in ways that I never did before. Resources like Mark have helped me participate in life differently than the way I learned to survive to gain access to an experience that I never thought I’d be in touch with. I am so thankful for how this information has benefitted me and hope that by living in my authenticity, creating and leading with love, and broadcasting these messages that cause us to rethink the way we engage (as socially programmed etc.) I can invite others to do the same. Best, Anthony Cunningham

Normally I love this podcast
I have really enjoyed Marks podcast until I listened to Dr Bush as a guest. As a doctor, was a poor example for the medical community. Pompous and hates industry. Mark, you were a former pharma rep, come on!

Beware of pseudoscience conspiracy theories
Beware of these podcasts run by someone who was a pharmaceutical rep but doesn’t have any rigorous science or research training. On the last podcast was an “MD” who is a snake oil salesman trying to minimize concern over COVID-19. He sells supplements and has been repeated been outed as a quack. Ask yourself what their motive is and if they are acting in your best interest. Conspiracy theories are hot right now, and lots of snake oil salesmen are making money off it. Beware. I wish this podcast had stayed in its lane, but it was a terrible, dangerous move to veer into the lane of hard science without any evidence to back their viewpoint. Listen to scientists (who are not millionaires) with rigorous training to get your advice. This is an insult to all the hard working researchers who are not in it for the money who are saving millions of peoples lives. Maybe one day we will pay researchers millions instead of these quacks.

Mark is the thread that ties us.
I feel so seen when I hear him talk about relational feelings (especially through his transparency with Kylie), challenges, and situations. He goes deep, speaks to emotions in a complex but bite sized way - I make more sense to myself when I relate to his examples. PS. More Kylie please! I’d love to learn more about the evolution/story/challenges in your your relationship. It’s so helpful to hear you both model a strong relationship for those of us who did not have a model.

Such an important podcast for me!!
I LOVE learning from Mark and the guests he brings on. A few years ago I started a pretty deep dive into self development and growing past my limiting beliefs. I went most of my life not even knowing What a limiting belief was. A year ago I heard Mark as a guest on Lacy Phillips and oh boy, I had so many aha moments! I now follow mark deeper than any other life coach/leader. One of my favorite rituals is going on a hike and listening to the new episodes, as often as I can do those activities together. He’s SO insightful and REAL! I Appreciate all the support this podcast brings to my life, truly life changing. Thank you Mark!

The title captures it all. Just start with episode one. Or scroll randomly and listen wherever you land. I’ve found the universe with Mark’s help, has led me to countless “Aha” moments. His vulnerability is courageous, beautiful, and most of all - refreshing. His experiences so closely related to mine, and even when they don’t... the perspective shared has been so special. Life changing
I came across Mark Groves inspirational words on Pinterest when I was trying to find motivational quotes. I instantly related to his words and wanted to live that. I found him on social media and started following him. He was the reason for the beginning of my own self healing journey that I’m on. I was thrilled when I learned he had a podcast and of course started listening to him. I started following his guests as well and kept digging into my own life. I’m still learning how to love myself and heal from my past. I’ve taken the next step in getting help to finally face my pain. I have him to thank for this and he is truly someone I admire and look up to. He is real and he talks about his own journey which helps others and inspires them to be the best person they can be. I am truly grateful for coming across him.

Mark is exploring, through his own experience and growth, the most important aspects of what it means to be in relationship with ourselves and those we love (and even the greater world). He does it in a vulnerable way which has made it highly relatable for me. Love this podcast! I admit I was judgmental of Mark initially.. I started listening in April 2020 at the start of the pandemic and found Marks words to be powerful, inspiring, and uplifting. The podcast has become a grounding Monday ritual to walk and listen to and is what I needed to facilitate my next stage of healing and empowered growth. I’m amazed by the positive impact this podcast has had on my thinking, self-perception, communication, & choices to step into the work of living aligned & in my truth! Mark discusses what’s hard for many to decipher and I’m engaging in much healthier relationships and boundaries too. Listen and do the work 🌈

I would rate more if I could!
I’ve been listening to Mark Groves through other avenues of life for years. His podcast is truly this corner, this space of life that I get to dig within my brokenness, my sometimes wholeness, my overall being and think, catch up, reflect, weep, rejoice and truly just sink into my being and truth. I remember when I come here that brokenness isn’t permanent, and health is learned. Truth is found. Light is peaking through if you take the time to dig deep into your soul and do the work. Please listen to this podcast. Don’t reject it prematurely because of predisposed thoughts, feelings, or fears. I never write reviews. I’m trying to be a more intentional human. And this is one of those ways. If you took the time to read this, trust me, your life could be transformed. Keep on keepin’ on. I’m right there with you. And so is Mr. Groves. God bless you all.

Can’t get enough of this podcast!
So many episodes have been eye opening for me as a single woman and very much hit home. In a way, this knowledge makes dating easier because I can more easily sift through the individuals that aren’t meant for me. But in another way, it makes dating harder when it feels like men are generally so out of touch with all of these relational topics. I’d love to hear more episodes about how we can recognize red flags early into a relationship in a word where people are more and more manipulative and better all the time at faking relational skills. Help us find the good guys, Mark!

Real Truth
This guy is real and that’s why I love him! I met Mark in person and he does what he says. Every podcast, video or live that he does, benefits me and can you to enlighten your mind and realign yourself to healthier ways. Going through the roughest divorce in my life, I found him through a friend and I think I get more out of him than anyone with my relationships! You won’t regret listening to anything he does!! (Full disclosure, He does like the F word so make sure kids aren’t around 😉) we don’t use that word in our house so my kids were shocked when I had something playing of his. That’s the only down I can see to anything he does and says! It’s his real and I accept him for that and I can move past it.

LIFE-CHANGING
Mark, I just wanted to say—-I’M NEVER USING THOSE WORDS AGAIN! Anyway, thank you from the bottom of my forever healing, growing soul. A soul that was broken by a system that told me I was inherently bad, wrong, incapable. A system that told me I couldn’t be a Physician because then I wouldn’t be a good wife and mother. That that is all a woman should be. A servant to her husband and children. A soul that exists physically, mentally, emotionally, sexually for someone’s use. I broke free from this system, dependent, alone and scared. 4 small kids and a belief that I was more, and that I had worth beyond serving others. That I could serve myself as well. That I had a responsibility to instill in my children that they had value and worth. This podcast and the books I have read from your guests have helped me grow and learn and develop my self assurance. To identify the ways I was poisoned in relational conflict, codependency, even how to love and view “successful” relationships. To be able to teach my children what a healthy relationship looks like. Thank you for being real, and willing to admit your flaws so that people like me can continue to grow and evolve! Andi

Exploration of Relationships at its Finest
Each episode is a sweet dive into the nuances of relationships. Mark does not limit the definition of “relationship” simply to what we experience with others, but rather casts a large net to a multitude of topics that will keep you coming back each week wanting more. My personal favs are his solo episodes where he shares candid thoughts of what he’s currently processing/exploring in his own life. These episodes make his material extremely relatable and inspires vulnerability and curiosity at the same time.

Real conversations
Growing up Catholic in Southside of Chicago, as I lined up for confession ( confessing my sins to a priest) ever month, I gre up with a lot of shame. Amazing. I tell EVERYONE to listen
Mark groves has been such a blessing in my life. He has spoken things my soul has felt, recognized and shoved down or hid in pain when being influenced that what I thought/felt/believed was “too much” or “impossible”. I can’t thank you enough for helping me step into my power always and ripping the band aid off of the societal belief that you have to abandon some parts of yourself or your dreams to be loved. Mark has such a warm, big brother energy that’s like a hug and this content is INSANE. I soak up these golden nuggets like a sponge and am so grateful this has come into my life this year. Thank you for creating such a great space of expansion!!

Mark is wonderful, his guests are wonderful. What a fantastic interviewer he is! And an incredible leader in all things vulnerability and relationships. I’ve consumed so much information on relationships over the years and this podcast is currently taking the cake for me. How refreshing to have the perspective of an emotionally intelligent MAN talking about these universal issues. Thank you, Mark for the realness you shine on some seriously murky subjects.

Life changing words
I listen to Mark Groves weekly. The way he speaks with such awareness helps me be able to do the same. He and the guests he has on the show really get to the root of WHY humans say and do all the things. The different patterns we’ve created and what unhealed event they may have stemmed from. Just beautiful, life-changing work being shown and inspired here! Thank you, Mark!! 😄💖

Oh boy, where do I begin
Where do I even begin.. I found this podcast when getting out of an abusive relationship. I come from a very twisted family life that led me into very painful dating relationships. I found this podcast at my lowest point. It challenged me, lovely pushed me to think outside of the boxes that had built myself. I finally made the choice to dig deeper and question the things I had avoided so long. Mark introduced me to seeing the world with curiosity and compassion and for that I am forever grateful. Fast forward a few years (and SO much work), I am now married to a incredible man I didn’t even believe existed for me years back. We are changing the narrative of our family and breaking the cycles of abuse. We are both whole individuals, lovely accepting the process that builds true authenticity in our OWN lives, then bring that into the complexity of relationship. I had to fight for myself, cultivate safety in order to heal, make some BIG changes, but regret none of the moments that led me to where I am today. Moving forward, one (sometimes messy) baby step at a time. Mark, I adore you so. Thank you for everything you do. You have been the transformative part in my healing journey and I am so grateful.

I just happened to stumble on your account. Your content is absolutely amazing and I already am learning so much. I’ve been on a path back to self for a little under a month and found myself mourning a short marriage that ended awhile ago. A video you posted on IG about codependency was us. I still have these thoughts where I wonder if I’ll ever find “love” like that again. And I see the relationship in a completely different light now. Wanna know the best part? You posted that video July 11. That was the day we got married. It’s the small signs that the universe gives me to let me know I’m headed in the right direction that matter most to me. Through that post i found this podcast. Thank you for being a light and a tool in this dark world 💜

Dr.Soloman
Typically love this podcast but not the last episode. Racial issues should not be politicized and Dr. Soloman brought up Trump twice. Not all Trump supporters are racist. She asked for feedback toward the end of the episode so here it is. Changed from 1-5 stars. This podcast episode with Dr. Solomon was awful but Mark truly is a blessing to the world.

Incredibly insightful
I started following @createthelove on Instagram last year after leaving an unhealthy and toxic relationship. I didn’t know which end was up in my mind or my life. There were a few quotes that started helping me right the ship, planted seeds of thought. Baby steps in doing the hard work Then, I sought out the podcast and the conversations have been so incredibly helpful in taking bigger steps. Mark is a straight shooter, he doesn’t mince words but he also doesn’t beat you up. He’s been there. There’s compassion and encouragement, and also a kick in the ass when it’s necessary. I listen to some over and over. Even if the overall topic isn’t applicable in my life, there’s always a nugget of truth I can take away.

Coronavirus opinions
I really was a huge Mark Groves fan until comments about the pandemic started coming up. As an epidemiologist, especially given the current climate, I wish you would tread more lightly around a topic you don’t know a lot about. I know you’re in Canada, but you have lots of US listeners and your little comments just come across as tone deaf and insensitive. You give phenomenal relationship advice- so stick to that. Getting more difficult to tune in and listen to another person disrespecting science and people who study it.

Hands down, amazing podcast.
This podcast is like an onion. So many layers: vulnerability, compassion, accountability, humor. And yeah, sometimes you cry once you cut into it. But you just know it's got so much potential to help add that depth and dimension to whatever you're "cooking". Of course, this analogy is only if you like onions. If you don't like onions, this is just a flat out really amazing podcast.

Please stop berating the media
Mark- I write this review with a tone of respect. I really *really* like your podcast. I find it insightful, greatly helpful, and I often refer you to my colleagues. All of us are members of the media. We work in tv at networks levels, radio, etc. I noticed in an earlier podcast (I can’t remember precisely which one), you mentioned a disdain for the media and how we negatively impact people’s lives. Today’s podcast you did it once again. I wanted to offer some insight- we are not sitting in board meetings collectively looking for ways to stir fear into people’s hearts and minds. We are intelligent, often highly educated HUMANS who are just trying to serve the world in the way we know best. It’s our job to report the news and the facts, which I believe we do to the best of our ability. Again, I bring this up with a tone of respect. I dig you! But it’s really hard to listen when you drag us through the mud.

Dr. Zach Bush
Thank you, Mark, for this episode. I’ve been a fan of yours for a minute now, and every episode/IG post or video of yours is great, but this episode was exceptional for me. I know it might turn some people off, as it’s not strictly about relationships (although...truly, it is :), but voices like Dr. Bush’s are so vital right now. I’ve been questioning the US’s response for a while now. Everyone is arguing over masks and EDD and the like (all of which are very important), but I don’t hear many speaking of the terrible mental health effects of mass joblessness, lack of purpose, uncertainty of EDD benefits (impossible to even get a live person on the phone!), not to mention the psychological effects of being told for months on end that you might be sick, that everyone you love might be sick, that even people you pass on the street might be sick and infecting you. I’m so glad your guest spoke to all of the above. I’m also appreciative of you for having him on and for all the work you do. Your opening “monologue” in this episode was as though you were in my own head and heart.

Listening for a little over a year now...
I have been listening to Mark Groves for a little over a year now and I have to say it just keeps getting better. I started listening after a break up that sent me to the floor and I randomly signed up for an 8 Wk course he was putting out with his lovely partner at that time. They helped me heal. They helped me learn to love myself completely for the first time and I’ve been listening ever since. The great thing is he specializes in connection and relationships which has everything to do with everything and has also started branching out a bit and brings on fantastic humans to share their knowledge and expertise!! Must give it a go!!

Something that finally stuck
I have always been a seeker of knowledge and the last two years I have been in therapy to try to understand the relationships in my life. I’ve explored it all... attachment styles, enneagrams, personality types, human design, zodiac, astrology, you name it I know it. It wasn’t until I stumbled upon an episode of Lacy Phillips pod cast where Mark was a guest that I learned about codependency. I was intrigued because everything I’ve learned so far was basically just an excuse for who I was or how I saw and interacted with the world. It didn’t give me a sense of control. I never identified as being codependent because I didn’t know all of the traits that were considered to be codependent. After listening to Mark and Terri’s episode about crushing codependency myths I immediately signed up for the crushing codependency course. I’m two weeks in and can’t believe the transformation I feel. All of this is reinforced with his pod cast and I am just so thankful to finally have tools that will help me have healthier and happier (interdependent) relationships moving forward! Keep it up!!
