Grateful
We were in a typical vanilla marriage (and probably still are by some standards) but I can now talk to my wife about everything without feeling like I am being judged for my sexuality. We do feel very fortunate that we are able to orgasm with penetration and together a vast majority of the time (I have since learned we are in the minority on this), but it was getting very mundane and the spark was slowly fading. But now things have changed. I don’t linger at work because I want to get home to just be near her. I have completely changed the why behind what I do for her. My anxiety around sex is slowly fading and we are free to explore our bodies in ways we have never done. The shame I have felt around my sexuality from the time I was a youth is gone and I can talk to my wife and be fully known by her. I have had family on her podcast that have been clients for hers for about a year. She literally saved their marriage and I guess they were keeping Amanda to themselves. Can’t thank Amanda as well and Dan Purcell enough.

Love this!
I don’t even know where to start - I have so much running through my head. The subject or even saying the word Sex was not one I grew up talking about. It carried over into my adult life, but after 25 years of marriage my views are changing. Thank you Amanda. I am learning to love myself, find beauty in my not so perfect body, and find confidence in who I am. I am grateful for a new way of thinking. For the conversations I have been able to have with my daughter and hopefully my sons some day. Two words keep standing out- CONFIDENCE and APPROPRIATE. Can I wear or do this with confidence and is it appropriate for the activity? I still have a long ways to go, but thank you for the beginning of a journey.

OUTSANDING
My husband and I have been listening for about a month we love how short and simple the podcasts are while also being powerful and life changing in a positive way. We are both returned mission, have been married for about 8 years and have an amazing relationship. The area we struggle with most is sex. We have listened to Jennifer Finlayson-Fife for about a year and have learned a lot. We like Amanda better because the podcasts are much shorter and get straight to the point.

So much good info on many layers
A friend of mine sent me a particular episode, knowing some struggles that I was dealing with with my child. After listening to that one episode I started from the beginning listening to this podcast from the very beginning. I have found excellent ways to try to connect with my child and the struggles that she is going through. Along with finding new ways to connect with my wife and understand her. And especially some really good insight into how I can improve myself. My wife and I are going through these episodes together and talking about what we have learned, and setting goals that elevate and make us both better people. I especially love the first podcasts. I know that a lot of this information is geared towards females or wives, however, I have taken many lessons from here that apply and I can use in my own life to be a better person. I have encouraged my wife to take to heart the messages in episode 2. To be a confident, strong women. She knows she is awesome, not because I tell her, but she knows for herself and views herself in that way. Thank you! Great content!

Stepmom superhero
Amanda is incredible. I’ve been dealing with a lot of resentment and other negative feelings in my marriage and my role as stepmom to my 4 stepdaughters. Amanda has helped me really take a look at my thoughts and realize they are what cause my negative feelings. Simply focusing on gratitude has made a huge difference already. I only recently discovered this podcast, but I’ve already listened to all of the episodes and signed up to work with Amanda. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience to help others!

Don’t think, just listen!
There is such a need for this podcast in the Christian world. Amanda does such a wonderful job addressing common issues in intimacy. I can tell she puts a lot of time and effort into researching and coaching. Although I don’t struggle with everything she talks about, I have learned so much. She has a podcast for everything! I will forever listen to Amanda as long as she’s doing this podcast.

So, so helpful
I love this podcast! I have learned SO much and appreciate Amanda’s candor in talking about things we sometimes blush about. Her ease with the topics make it so easy to listen and open up to. I have taken things I have learned and brought them to the bedroom. My husband thanks you too!! Amazing work you are doing. I am a fan.

I’m messed up, but this helps
I’m a combat veteran with PTSD and other mental health illnesses. This podcast has helped me with my thinking tremendously. It helps me sort out all the clutter in my head and heart and how to take the next step forward, especially when I don’t want to or know how to. I am realizing much of the marital distress I go through is from habitual toxic thoughts. I have a long ways to go, but there is much helpful information here.

She helps me heal!
I found Amanda’s podcast when I was struggling in my marriage and contemplating divorce. I originally started listen from the very beginning and her divorce story helped me. Sadly I did also get divorced but as I have continued to listen to what she shares I have been filled with more hope for what kind of marriage I can have when I get married again! And more importantly how I can create a better sex life than the one I had before!

Sex life game changer
This podcast is soooooo good. My wife and I have been working hard on our marriage and intimacy and listening to this podcast together has been incredibly helpful in creating a better dialogue on these topics. Amanda does such a good job articulating the many hang ups and obstacles we’ve had and experienced.. and then also house better to navigate through them or at least how to communicate better around them. So many light bulb moments that have been both thought provoking as well as so validating! Our sex life has never been better!! Thank you Amanda!!!

Excellent and respectful
I found this podcast last weekend and have listened to just about every episode. I have listened to nearly every episode since I travel for work. I am a man, so it is not geared towards me, but I have learned so much about myself and especially my wife. I hope to be able to create a safe space for her to have these conversations as we don’t have that yet.

Learning who I am
I am so glad I found this podcast. I feel like so much of who I am and my identity as a woman was wrapped up in this culture of who I’ve been told I should be and the things I should care about and think are important—What’s right and what is good. I have become more aware of what I want and who I am as a woman and as a sexual partner. And that it’s ok to figure out that part of my life and myself. Thank you Amanda for helping me discover that part of myself and understand how important pleasure is in a marriage and for myself.

Life changing!
I’m so happy my friend recommended this podcast to me. I didn’t realize that so much of my behavior was subconscious “good girl” behavior, that women are sexual, and that sexual pleasure was intended for us as part of our creation. I’m learning so much and it’s really allowing me to open up to my husband and have really good conversations. We’re discovering each other again! Sad I wasted so many years but it’s never too late!

MIND-BLOWING good!
Amanda’s podcasts have completely changed me and my husband individually and our marriage together. There is such good content in every episode! I love the way she discusses sex and intimacy in a matter of fact way, but it isn’t vulgar or raunchy. I appreciate her bold stance on topics but she encourages seeking for answers that are right for each couple. 1/0/10 recommend whether you’re engaged, newlywed, been married for 50 years or somewhere in between. With kids, without kids, this podcast is for anyone who is looking to improve themselves and their sexual relationship. I love Amanda and her insights!

Living and loving my husband
Thank you for your blunt, raw and provocative podcasts! I’ve always enjoyed sex with my husband, but the different episodes and topics opened my mind and body to exploring so much more. I’m finally opening up, relaxing, understanding my hang ups, understanding how my husband thinks/works and truly living and loving my husband even more

I first started listening by myself (male). I found it to be helpful and knew my wife would too. Rather than listening and suggesting an episode here and there, we now listen together. We often pause it to discuss, compliment, apologize, or recollect. We enjoy your insight and look forward to spending the time together listening and talking.

Life Changing
I got engaged at the beginning of March and my dad recommended Amanda’s podcast and engaged couples course to me. Not only did it help me feel confident in myself and my sexuality, but it has completely reformed my way of thinking about sex. I went from being terrified and self conscious, to excited and ready to start this journey with my fiancé when we get married in August. We both listen to the podcast and have had open and honest conversations about our expectations once we are married. Thank you Amanda! You have changed my life.

For the first 18 years of my marriage, sex was the biggest (really, the ONLY) source of contention for us. I found Amanda's podcast after I had some huge breakthroughs about my sexuality. I relate to so much of what she says and I feel like she really gets me! I love listening to her new episodes every week as well as going back and listening to her past ones. It has helped me along my journey to an amazing, intimate relationship with my husband. Thank you, Amanda!

An incredibly helpful podcast for everyone with no judgements!
I absolutely love this podcast. I stumbled upon it on accident and started listening a couple weeks before I got married. I definitely did not have a lot of knowledge about sexual intercourse and so this podcast was really enlightening. Now three months into marriage, my husband and I listen to it together and we use a lot of Amanda’s tips in our communication with each other, as well as intimacy. We love it!

Unexpectedly Insightful
I started cautiously listening as a husband, wondering if there was anything I could do to be better for my wife in our marriage and sex life, but not wanting to cross any kind of lines. Once I got more into it, I began to learn a lot about myself and my beliefs. My life has changed and I understand so much more about myself and my wife. I truly appreciate the change that has already occurred after only a week of listening and am eager for what’s to come.

Have learned a lot
I have listened to most episodes to try and help learn more about my wife of 30+ years. I unexpectedly ended up leaning a lot about myself. I listened to episode 77 about rejection over and over and just sobbed and learned to adjust my expectations and my feelings and it has helped to focus on all the good things in our marriage and not obsess about sex. By doing that, our sec life has improved as a byproduct. Thank you for your insights.

I am seriously so grateful I was introduced to this podcast! And so is my husband 😂👍🏻 Amanda has helped me so much!! I had “good girl syndrome” for sure!! I am a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I put boundaries on myself and my sexuality. It wasn’t my religion doing it, it was myself. Through this podcast I learned that boundaries don’t need to be built. I am married and my relationship with my husband and a happy, loving marriage is my “higher desire”❤️ I love that Amanda is a safe place for me to learn. And all of her resources are safe. I even have my husband listening. So he can understand me and help me in this journey. Our relationship has been stronger since listening to this podcast!! I absolutely love it and binge listened to every one of her podcast in 2 weeks! Thanks so much Ananda!!!

Whirlwind and great advice
My wife started listening to this podcast about a month ago and it has been a whirlwind adventure ever since. Oh how I wish we would have had this when we got married 21 years ago. It has changed our marriage. But more importantly then that I am the dad to 4 teenage daughters and as much as I have no interest in thinking about their future sex life or them getting married they will all be getting some coaching from you before they get married. Your podcast has help our relationship and marriage grow more than you can imagine and will be passed to our girls to bless their future marriages.

This podcast changes hearts and lives
Wow! This podcast is incredible! A friend of mine introduced this to me a while back and I have been talking about it to everyone non-stop for weeks! I’ve been married for just under two years and, I’ll be honest, my husband and I have considered divorce on more than one occasion. Since I’ve started listening to this podcast I feel like a light has come on that traditional therapy hasn’t really been able to do. I feel like Heavenly Father was saying, “oh you’re struggling? Here, listen to Amanda. She will help you.” I’ve been so close to happy tears while listening to these episodes. Amanda’s words fill me with hope, empowerment, and peace. My husband and I aren’t out of the woods yet, but I feel like I’m finally able to see what I’m doing wrong in my relationship and how to fix it and show up as my best self every single day in hopes of repairing my marriage. Thank you thank you Amanda! You are truly heaven sent!

Empowered and excited!
Hey Amanda, My husband and I love your podcast!! We feel like it has really helped us in our marriage and journey together. We appreciate the maturity and candid approach to the topics that you tackle. Your take has been refreshing and even liberating at times. We both grew up in the church, served missions, sealed in the temple, etc. But, like so many others, our views on sex in marriage were fairly limited to things we thought we could or couldn't do, which led to anxieties. But, after listening to your podcast, we feel more empowered and inspired together to make our sex life what we want it to be, and not feel anxious or ashamed about any of it. Thank you for all you do!!

The Best Podcast For Marriage!
I have loved listening to all of Amanda‘s episodes. She is so open and honest and presents her material in a very easy way to understand and incorporate. There have been many things that she has brought up in her podcasts that I haven’t even realized have been issues that I’ve had with myself and in my marriage. The first podcast episode I had my husband listen to was Husbands, What Your Wives Wish You Knew. We laughed but then it got him curious about other episodes. I love listening and sharing with him. We sometimes listen to episodes together and it has brought us closer. I love her more recent episodes and her focus on sex as it isn’t talked about much in our culture of the Church of Jesus Christ. However, I love the earlier episodes where she talks about other aspects of marriage. It is all amazing! Thank you Amanda!

Deepens Connection in Marriage
This is a WONDERFUL podcast for Christian women and men to learn how to connect/reconnect sexually and intimately with their spouse, and raise their relationship to a higher plane. I was hesitant at first because we just don’t talk about sex in our religious world, but it has changed my marriage immensely. It is extremely respectful, and teaches how to deepen that connection with your spouse through communication and variety in sex. Definitely worth not only listening to, but following what she teaches us. Thanks, Amanda!

Amanda is willing to talk about sex in a way that is open and forthright and helps the listener to be able to more fully explore their sexual relationship and their own sexuality. I believe God created all of us to be sexual beings and it’s OK to explore and enjoy that amazing part of our bodies. THANK YOU Amanda for your work!

I have listened to Amanda’s podcast on and off for a few months, and I have to say how amazing it is! It has helped me in ways I didn’t even know I needed help in. She is real and raw and even though it might be uncomfortable for us to talk about, Amanda has a way of making it not so uncomfortable.

Just listen!
I stumbled across Amanda’s podcast on a Facebook page, and thought, “a sex life coach? Really?” Being raised lds it is so taboo to talk about! Amanda makes it so easy to listen to and learn about. I’ve been married for five years and we have already learned and been able to Improve our intimacy so much within the last couple of weeks. My husband even enjoys learning from Amanda. Just listen to it! :)

I just binged every episode
I found Amanda’s podcast from another podcast where Amanda was the guest. I come from a very conservative upbringing and this is something that has been missing from my marriage for the past 20+ years. I just wanted to say thank you for being so open and finding the right ways to share this subject. I’m just in the beginning of this journey and I’m excited to see where it takes me

Game Changer!
Amanda’s podcast has really helped my wife and I change up our game. After nearly 20 yrs of marriage we needed a little help. I discovered Live for love after many other similar podcasts. There was something different about this podcast. I sent one episode to my wife and she felt like Amanda was speaking directly to her, as did I. We have been listening for about 7 months now. We refer back to older episodes and we can’t wait for the new ones. We like to listen to them on our own and then we discuss them together. It has been a huge blessing to our lives, we are closer now than we have even been before and it gets even better each day. I have recommended this podcast to many of my friends and would recommend it to any married couple. I especially love how Amanda has bridged the gap between the church and the bedroom. I have had so many of the same thoughts as Amanda, so it was a breathe of fresh air to hear her share what I feel were my very own thoughts. Keep up the great work Amanda, I believe you are helping to save more marriages than you realize!!

Interesting and informative
I started listening to Amanda’s Podcasts about 6 months ago. I found them to be informative and positive, answering some questions that I had. I went back and listened to just about all of the other podcasts previously aired. I listen to them weekly now, some don’t really apply, but I still listen just to be informed. Some of her podcasts have really helped me think about myself and my husband in a differently than I had before. Before I may have thought I was too tired or not interested in having sex on any given night, but now I realize that the mood does not have to be perfect to have sex and I’m glad that I did. All in all this is a great podcast and I’m glad I found her. I also like that she can and will help you personally as well if you ask for a free coaching session.

Life Changing Perspective
I have been listening to this podcast for a few months now and WOW. I first listened to the most recent episodes about sexuality and my mind was blown, especially as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I definitely have good girl syndrome and am working hard to move past that. I have also been having some struggles in my marriage. And listening to her teach about what marriage should be…love…and also working through CTF has changed my life and helped me stabilize my self and my marriage. Thank you, Amanda, for giving so much hope and love.

So Real & Straightforward
I found this podcast a few months ago & have loved listening! It’s validated SO many struggles & concerns I’ve had in my own life, which is super powerful in & of itself. But Amanda also does a great job at giving tangible advice to address concerns & issues. I love how straightforward she is- it eliminates so many taboo stigma’s we have about sex and sexuality, especially being raised in an LDS culture. Thank you Amanda for your work!

Amanda has a direct approach to addressing the issues she sees in the people she works with. Her problem-solving techniques really make me think, and she cuts to the heart of what I could be thinking and feeling. I have often found myself with an initial reaction that she is being rather harsh when she talks about emotions and needs, but thinking about what she says has helped me in my marriage already and I've only been listening for a few weeks. Great advice! I have learned so much!
I just happened upon this podcast and I’m so glad I did!! This is everything I have been searching for and more.. as a married Latter Day Saint there are so many cultural wrongs that we have been taught around sex, I have struggled for years trying to figure out how I can be a faithful LDS member of the church AND be a sexual being.. I have pushed that side of myself away for so long that I’ve lost touch with it completely! I feel like this podcast has helped me reconnect with that part of myself and really take a look at what’s going on in my head to keep me from having the sex life I want. Thanks Amanda for your hard work on this podcast! I love everything you’re doing!

Succinct and uncovers the truth
I love that Amanda keeps her episodes short and drives home the jury pound of the particular topic. I’ve learned that often my perspective on how a relationship is going isn’t necessarily the truth. The truth is whatever I spin it to be. I’m choosing more positivity as my truth and debunking my habitual negative thoughts.

- Episode 266 - The Sexual Conditioning of Young Adults that Keep Them From Great Relationships - Pt. 2This is part two of an amazing interview I did with fellow life coach Julie Balkman. This week we’re talking more about our young adults and how they are really struggling in dating and moving into relationships and into sexual relationships. Whether you're a young adult, either single and dating or newly married or you have young adults, even if you have been married a long time, I think you're going to find some really good, valuable insights into why things are the way they are for you in this episode. If you didn’t hear part one, I would recommend listening to that one first here. Julie Balkman, founder of the 100 Interviews Project and expert panelist for the LDS dating app Mutual, is a dating expert and certified life coach who helps young adults get out of the dating game and into a real relationship that lasts. The dating game often continues into engagement and marriage, so she also works with newly married couples, helping them build a relationship based on real love and intimacy. - Episode 254 - How Can I Get My Wife to Develop Her Sexual-Self?How do I get my wife to develop her sexual self? That is probably one of the most common questions I get from husbands. In this episode, we’re going to not only answer these questions, but also how to know if we are sexually empowered or if we’re just seeking outside validation. - Episode 249 - Overcoming Sexual Shame || Embracing You TeaserI’m excited to share with you a teaser for my new subscription podcast, Embracing You. In this Embracing You episode, I talk to Emily about how shame is affecting her sex life. We discuss where this shame comes from and some ways to get over it. Sexual shame is something I see a lot in my clients, especially in our conservative Christian culture, even though we don’t always see it as shame. Listen in as I teach Emily what she can do to stop letting the shame keep her from getting what she truly wants. - Episode 248 DisclaimerIn this episode, we are discussing a clothing optional resort. When I originally interviewed this couple, I did not know which resort they went to. I've since learned that not only is this a clothing optional resort, but also has options for public sexual activity. I want you to know that I am not endorsing this resort or their choices. For my full explanation, please listen to the bonus episode below before listening to the full episode.0 comments0
- Episode 248 - Is Public Nudity Ok?I often get emails from listeners asking about how nudity and modesty work together. Now, I don’t have all of the answers, but in this episode, I speak with a couple who went to a clothing optional resort. We talked about why they chose to do it, what was surprising, what was not, and would they do it again. I also ask them the question, “How does this align with your integrity?” I loved their answer and you will too! I hope that this episode can spur you into thinking about things a little differently.0 comments0

- Episode 245 - How Conflict in Marriage Builds Intimacy: An Interview with Crystal HansenIn this episode, I’m talking with fellow coach and my real life best friend, Crystal Hansen, all about how conflict actually builds intimacy in your marriage. I know this sounds counter intuitive, but it really does work. We all want to feel connected and when we try to avoid conflict, that creates a wedge in our relationships. Crystal shares with us Gottman’s Four Horsemen of conflict and the antidotes for each one. This episode is a great way to start thinking about who we want to be in our marriages next year.
