A multi-talented Contemporary Gospel vocalist and singer born in Oakland Ca and raised in Sacramento Ca. Samona is making music that is thoughtful, conscious, and driven by a desire to motivate, inspire, comfort, and spread love and joy to all those that hear it. Samona has had a vast array of musical influences however she accredits the pivotal influences in her music to Old School Gospel music including Mississippi Mass Choir, Daryl Coley, John P. Kee, Kirk Whalum, and Opera/Classical music. Samona also uses her music as a vehicle to express her perspectives and tell stories. Her overarching ambition is to encourage and inspire people through Gospel music. Her music exhibits not only her versatility and vocal prowess but has surely cemented her style of making intriguing, out-of-the-box Gospel music and has paved the way for the varied expressions of her musical ideas and artistic craft. This is the music that will push the boundaries of our perception as well as inspire and drive us to introspective conversations. As long as artists like Samona exist and her story and voice is heard then this is the music that may not change the world. Samona's new single 'Afflicted' will be played on this show.

Working in multiple countries and genres, Garvin’s MO is to bring elements from one music style to another, always keeping what he delivers fresh and exciting. Music by Virtuoso, the group which originated in Seattle with their signature sound that combines Blues, Gospel, Jazz, and Country. For the members of Virtuoso, Derrick Mitchell, Reginald Moton, & Jesse Bertrand Jr., making music migrated to Seattle, they decided to combine their talents to form Virtuoso. is a family affair. These cousins have always shared a passion for music. So, when they migrated to Seattle, they decided to combine their talents to form Virtuoso. Jesse is a drummer/percussionist by trade. He has played drums since elementary school and has obtained many achievements. His budding talents won him a place in the famed Southern University Marching Band. Fostina Dixon is a native of Wilmington, Delaware where she studied with the late Robert "Boysie" Lowery. As a young woodwind instrumentalist, she played for the Delaware All-State Band and was selected for the American Young Symphonic Orchestra which toured Europe. As a professional musician, she has performed at numerous clubs, colleges, libraries, churches, community art centers, New York's Jazzmobile concert series, and theaters and toured abroad. Fostina has also toured Germany, Austria, Italy, Belgium, France, and the Netherlands several times. Ms. Dixon has worked with and made television appearances on shows such as the popular "NY Undercover Cop" series, WNYC Channel 31's "Perspective in Jazz," NBCs "Today in New York" with Dr. Billy Taylor. Jan 19 · 37m A Journey in music with Trade Stevens on new single "Only Woman"Armed with the rhythms of Dance, infused with the vocals of “Ole Soul," and tainted by the edge of Hip-Hop, Trade Stevens attacks each supremely. Born into a family of musicians from Michigan, Trade Stevens spent his youth abroad. Because his father was an Army Specialist, they traveled the world and spent time in various settings. Trades' talents were realized during a class “sing-off” for the role of Santa Claus in the annual Christmas play. Upon winning the sing-off Trade discovered his passion. Once settled in Michigan, Trade would hone his gifts, focusing on writing, production, and vocal styling. He’d sing in various talent shows, local plays, and weddings. Realizing he wanted more, Trade set his sites on the big time. He’d move from Michigan to NYC in hopes of securing a recording contract. Much to his dismay, this would prove trying. Trade continued to perform in local events while pursuing a recording contract. One of Trades' most notable performances was at the Apollo Theater where Trade performed the Teddy Pendergrass classic “Turn off the Lights”. The audience was moved into a frenzy. Trade would receive a standing ovation. After years of struggling, Trade would move closer to his goal, of securing a recording contract with a major “Indie” label. Once signed, Trade would start recording what he thought would be his debut album. While pursuing a career in music, Trade would also graduate from Stoney Brook University with a Master of Science in Human Resources Management. Citing Luther Vandross, Aretha Franklin, Nancy Wilson, Darryl Coley, and Barbra Streisand as some of his favorite singers/songwriters/entertainers Trade's voice harkens back to an era when singers were true singers, and the songs they sang told great stories. Jan 14 · 41m Terence Thompson is back with Cycle of Love album Terence Thompson is a versatile producer, songwriter, artist, and musician. Over the span of his career, Terence has collaborated with a diverse group of artists, musicians, and producers across all genres of music including Teddy Riley of Blackstreet to prolific jazz drummer and producer Nate Smith. It was Terence who hand-picked and recorded the music for Michael Jackson’s “Heaven Can Wait”. Terence is a self-taught musician with no formal training. His foundation for music production started when he was a teenager as a DJ for several local rap artists from Newport News, VA. Terence began to play the keyboard to help support samples used in his earlier productions. He would later elevate to producing sample-free music. 'If I Only Had A Band' is a culmination of all of Terence’s musical influences. Terence would define himself as a producer/songwriter/artist first and secondly as a musician. Mr. Thompson was on Lets Jazz It Up! BlogTalkRadio.com back in 2021 to present 'If I only had a band' album. Thompson produced an album in 2022 year called 'Todo Amor' with various artists as well. Later making the move to the big city, Wade C. Long found himself in Los Angeles releasing his debut EP Love Is, in 2014. Continuing to record, Wade finally released his first LP in 2020. Nov 30 · 45m A Journey thru music with music producer Warren A. Keller of SGC The child of a concert pianist and teacher, and a world-class operatic baritone, Warren began playing and singing early. His father, Howard Keller, was blessed with an amazingly rich baritone voice. Warren has sung, played woodwinds (tenor/alto saxophone, flute), and writing music on the New York City and Nashville music scenes. Warren was fortunate enough to have studied with the late, great Kenny Davern who began his career with Jack Teagarden and was a multiple winner of the Downbeat Poll for soprano sax and clarinet. Mr. Keller began his professional career with friends from New Jersey in the band 'Harper.'. While the formative years from 1973-1979 were spent with this one act, Warren's singing, playing, and performing abilities were honed by the variety of styles they covered, and their extensive travels as a road band in the US and Canada. Harper morphed into a Disco-Funk act, covering everything from Earth, Wind, and Fire, to Crown Heights Affair. Mainly based in the Midwest, Dre is a highly respected lyricist and independent artist who has had a major influence in the Chicagoland area as well as the southeastern Wisconsin hip-hop scene. Dre Marro has showcased his ability to work alongside established hip hop greats such as Mickey Factz demonstrated through their collaborative single in 2019 entitled “The Game” In May of 2021 Dre Marro officially became a Grind Mode Cypher Affiliate being featured in three tracks. JChosen was a contestant on Season 12 of the NBC series, “The Voice” and was a member of Team Gwen. His blind audition of the Marvin Gaye song, “Sexual Healing” turned all four chairs from the judges. His voice left everyone speechless and it electrified the crowd. Alicia Keys told him “Marvin Gaye is clapping from heaven”. His blind audition video had the most views of any contestant in Season 12 on The Voice YouTube page. It currently has 2.7 million views. Since competing on the voice, JChosen has opened up for some amazing R&B artists including Hi-Five, Mya, Tank, and Jagged Edge. He has also headlined his own shows. He has also acted in 3 movies: “Ace”, “Pressure”, and “Project Heat” with a cameo in the short film “Mad As Hell”. Prior to performing and recording music, JChosen was a talented college basketball player at Appalachian State University with lofty NBA goals. As his basketball career excelled, it created a conflict between sports and music. Life would intervene and decide for JChosen. At the height of his collegiate career, he suffered a career-ending injury which ended his dreams of a spot in the NBA. This was a devastating period of time for JChosen. While growing up in South Bend, IN at age 17 he was discovered by the legendary Motown recording artist Jr. "Shotgun" Walker and started doing world tours in the early 1980s. Throughout his musical career, he toured with many legendary groups including, The Temptations also with former legendary James Brown band. In 1993 while a member of the Jr. Walker's band, Darryl had the honor to perform at President Bill Clinton's Inaugural Ball. Nov 12 · 53m Recording artist Desmond Parson returns with 'Like A November' new album Desmond Parson, is a man of vision, passion, and song. Music was and is the outlet through which he conveys his thoughts. Born in Washington D.C. in the mid-'70s, Desmond's interest in music peaked at the age of 4 when his grandmother would play albums by the likes of Gladys Knight, Teddy Pendergrass, and Michael Jackson. However, it was one artist in particular that his grandmother played that would forever change his appreciation for, and approach to music, Stevie Wonder. Through studying the albums of Stevie Wonder, Desmond would learn the many roles of an artist; a vocalist, writer, composer, producer, and arranger, all of which Desmond performs on all of his projects. Desmond started playing the piano at age 10 learning melodies taught by his uncle. From joining singing groups in high school to presently directing his own band, Soulfied Village, Desmond's musical journey is ever-evolving. Through his involvement with the DC music scene, Desmond has performed at many historic venues in the Washington D.C. area including Takoma Station Tavern, Smith Public Trust, and The Kennedy Center, and has shared the stage with the R&B group, The Dramatics. Desmond infuses the sounds of R&B and neo-soul to create a style all his own.
