Love it!
Love the crew so much. SBJ is an excellent host and has excellent chemistry with just about everyone; however, I do hope they find a good replacement for Will soon. The new Super Picnic episodes are borderline unlistenable because, without a good foil, Greg takes up a lot of time and space, and we can’t move on from his takes, especially since he is so resistant to feedback and information provided by the host—which is fine, usually there has to be a personality that provides discussion and tension. Will just did a great job moving things along, and we need another personality to help with that.

Bad Restaurants in Scarlet
Steve was so right when he said that the crappy “restaurants” where you buy food should have been food trucks instead. That would have been such a better way to present it, it really makes me curious why they wouldn’t do something like that. My guess is maybe the food system is the last thing they worked on, so it got the least effort in its presentation. My first assumption to the lack of indoors in this game is because of load times, if you keep everything outside then the player doesn’t have to go into loading screens as often. Anyways, Steve saying the food truck thing made me want to write this. It’s such a good idea that it makes me sad it wasn’t in the game. Maybe even a traveling food trucks <\3

True Pokéfans speak on their love of Pokémans
Steve, Will, & Greg (The Three Ludicolos) are by far the BEST conversationalists when it comes to Pokémon & Pokéculture. ISF is the only show I’ll listen to about PKMN & tbqh, I think it’s one of the most diverse, in terms of sexuality. My one ding is I wish they had more special guests of BIPOC & their experiences with the game, but it’s probably not for lack of trying. Listen to more than 2 episodes and it’s obvious how hands-on Steve is & how DIY the process is for them. Despite that, the quality of the podcast is something on par with EarWolf or Spotify Podcasts, Ringer, or even Gimlet. No lies!! Tight-tight-tight editing & music use! Good conversation with little fodder! And the respect to pronouns, the anti-ableist stance of Greg, Will, & Steve each, & the lovely supportive nature of their show, down to the willingness to get into nitty gritty of competitive play to PKMNTCG, just so people can enjoy their hobby to the max; is applaudable. Please applaud. Please listen. Update: this is, by far and away, the best and most fair coverage of PKMN Scarlet & Violet! It’s incredible stuff!!

But I think it’s time for new co-hosts. It’s clear that one of them in particular no longer finds joy in being on the podcast anymore. I was so excited for this weeks episode but his pessimistic attitude was a real disappointment.

A once positive experience has recently turned dour
I began following this podcast in 2017 after Pokémon GO brought me back to the franchise after 6 years of being away. I began following other Pokémon-centric podcasts during this time, but I never found a show that was as polished or professional as ISE. Around the release of Sword and Shield, many podcasts quickly turned negative and the bulk of their programming seemed to rely on grievances they had with whatever decision TPCI, Nintendo, Niantic, or Gamefreak had made recently. ISE, however, was always different. I would never go so far as to say any of the hosts of ISE were “shills” for any of the above mentioned companies. I found their criticisms to be fair, balanced, and well thought out. They also made an attempt to try and look at the situation from the company’s perspective or that of its employees. They may not agree with that perspective, but they made an attempt at understanding it. The show overall, however, had a positive outlook on the Pokémon franchise and was easy to latch onto for news and tips for someone like me just getting back into it. Recently, however, ISE seems to have fallen into a predictable formula where the hosts present a piece of news and then proceed to share whatever their issue or grievance is with it. Future episodes may well just be titled “Episode #: This happened and here’s why that’s wrong.” Most of the joy, excitement, and positive energy contained within the show has been replaced with disappointment, anger, and frustration. If I were someone new to the Pokémon franchise and listened to recent episodes of ISE, I would wonder why anyone was a fan of this franchise as I would be hard pressed to hear of any of the franchise’s redeeming qualities, nor would I be able to learn much of anything other than what the franchise gets wrong. Pokémon is an escape. Something I enjoy engaging with as a way to relax. The last two years have been incredibly taxing and lately it’s become increasingly difficult to listen to negativity. I’m not sure how much longer I’ll be able to continue listening. If I find another podcast that provides updates and tips, I may stop listening sooner rather than later.

Self appointed future predicting economists. According to them, nothing you own has value unless you intend to sell it. They should inform the irs of their financial epiphany. Also according to them, physical property in the form of cards produced in a albeit mass quantity but finite number, is a dumb investment but digital app purchases on a quickly fading cash grab cell phone application aren't? If you don't agree with investing in Pokémon cards don't describe your podcast as a ptcg podcast. Just say you binge watch tv shows and shill for Pogo. Let it Pokémon go.

Disappointed
PKMN cast pretty much talks 90% Pokémon go and the other 10% news, games, and other Pokémon related topics which is a bummer. It’d be nice if you divide equally what you talk about. I’ve listened to all episodes and lately it’s getting boring listening to the same old rants about Pokémon Go this or Pokémon Go that.

I listened to the Pokémon go episode and it was an hour and a half of non stop complaining about it being unfair to play at home when the game is designed to move around they can’t please everyone. Stop playing the game if it makes you this upset.

Best Pokémon Podcast
Not only are they the best Pokémon podcast, but they’re one of the better quality podcasts out there. The three hosts all together create a wonderful show. My Favorite parts may have to be when Greg and Will are roasting Steve for not being a full fledged human being. Their knowledge of Pokémon is extensive and their opinions are differentiated enough that they can have real conversations and arguments about issues with the games and franchise at large. Here’s to 500 more episodes! Thanks for making my commutes every week a little more bearable.

Why I Long For Mondays
The excitement I get waking up to go on a run at 6am on Monday mornings is thanks to this podcast. The dynamic between Steve, Greg, & Will is just fantastic. They always joke that their episodes are going long, but honestly they could put out 10 hours of podcast a week and I’d be the happiest dude around. Stop listening for a while but recently tuned in
As the title suggests I stopped listening to this pod for about a year but stayed subscribed. I decided to listen to the arceus episode because arceus is very well received (by me too) so I wanna hear everyone’s opinions but was quickly reminded why I stopped listening. So many people want voice acting because of all the dialogue arceus gave us but two of the host going off about people being lazy readers was so lame. This podcast is so pretty negative with opinions that critique details so minor with nothing too much to be said about their enjoyment. The dude with the fake accent also is constantly doing the most 🙄

I was looking forward to listening this week
I’ve been a listener ever since Pokemon Go came out. With Pokémon: Legends Arceus coming out, I have been looking forward to listening to the show all week. I know the guys were managing expectations before the game came out, as they were worried that it wouldn’t be the Pokémon game that everyone was waiting on. It turns out the game was much better than expected and there were things to truly love about the game as well as the franchise. They even acknowledged it themselves, however I think they are so married to negative opinions, they can’t even speak positively about a game that they love. I was looking forward to hearing about the things that they loved in the show, but it seems as if they’re so far gone from what they loved about the franchise that they don’t even know how to be excited about Pokémon anymore. This show doesn’t put me in a good mood anymore. Critiques are one thing, but an hour long show of trudging in sludge about a franchise that I love every week isn’t how I want to spend my time. I hope everyone can find a way to love this franchise again, because it seems like it’s exhausting them. I’ll try to keep tuning in in hopes that things will change because I really like them and the show, but I think they should try having fun again.

Decent Pokémon pod
I love how much you guys genuinely care and consistently put out content. You guys are obviously very knowledgeable about Pokémon and other games too. However, I do agree with @Admiralwalrus below about some of the hosts’ points of view, particularly Steve. It seems like he has a huge problem with people who prefer aspects of the older games, as if people who are somewhat nostalgic are simply blind to any sort of logic. It really is an objective fact that the newer Pokémon games are easier overall and yet the hosts on this show seem to have a huge problem with people even acknowledging that? That being said, I DO appreciate whenever you guys actually take the time to explain your own critiques of the games—Pokémon is a series in which I’ll always be a fan of, but also LOVE to critique on my own as well, because it is far from a perfect franchise. I would say that listening to a bunch of middle aged men simply gush about how amazing a children’s game is is not super enthralling, so any time you get to be candid with your thoughts is fine by me

Literally all they do anymore is complain about everything, they have no love for this game anymore. They don’t like games that are harder, games that are easier, games that are the same or games that are different. In covering this franchise professionally, they have lost the joy they once had for it. If listening to 30-40 yo old white men complain about a children’s game… then you are in luck!

The show is worth it for Greg, Will, and Irene. However Steve, the main host, can be insufferable with his matter of fact opinion statements and lack of respect for older players opinions on the future of the franchise. The way he speaks about people who prefer older mechanics, ideas, and or want certain call backs or returns is condescending and if you don’t think how he does on a matter, your just a lost nostalgia boomer who’s opinion should be discarded.

Good pod, personally one main issue
Do I continue to come back and listen to this show as a Pokémon fan who likes to stay informed and hear a variety of interesting perspectives on news and topics? Absolutely. Do I chose to walk away every time the host is ganged up on and borderline bullied by the co-hosts because it’s almost upsetting to listen to? Also yes. Hopefully it’s just the dynamic of their friendship, but it’s tough to listen to at times.

Not much substance
I want to start by saying that I appreciate how the hosts are in the more rational camp of Pokémon fans. There’s a lot of unreasonable fans out there and these guys aren’t it. Unfortunately I had to drop the podcast because I felt there wasn’t enough substance. Most episodes boil down to 50% SBJ reading press releases and 50% Pokémon GO/Masters discussion. The press releases add no value whatsoever and are stuff you are already aware of if you’re a big enough fan to seek out a podcast. The mobile games, while sometimes the only Pokémon games to consistently receive updates, are a small portion of the franchise and get the lion’s share of attention. The TCG is a HUGE part of the brand and yet it never gets talked about (unless reading off a press release). The anime is also a sizeable portion of the franchise and it is completely ignored.

It’s really changed me.
Im gonna make this clear. I have listened for almost a year and each episode helps me a lot with new Pokémon updates. I love each and every episode, everyone you watch now you will remember when you go back. These people are very friendly and make funny sarcastic jokes for me. One thing I will say is if you don’t play Pokémon, don’t listen. It will just be things that you won’t understand. So this show deserves the 5/5 for me. Definitely recommend for bike rides, going on long car rides or working.

Downhill since beginning
This podcast used to be really great, but now that it’s been many years, I think the hosts are fatigued. They routinely have a whole panel of speakers that all dislike a game. Their coverage of ORAS was really lacking at best. Yet they are completely unable to empathize with other fans’ criticism of games they like (sword/shield). Sometimes the guests don’t seem to do their research and thus just spitball with really faulty info. I finally unsubscribed when seeing SBJ is now really confident in his condescension toward fans. 2 stars cuz the longevity of this podcast is impressive.

I’m with Steve on this one
Hey everyone! I’ve been listening to the pod for over a year now, and I love it so much. I look forward to listening to it every week. Honestly, should have left a 5-star review a long time ago. But the hot take brought up in this episode finally let me to do it. Steve, I’m backing you 100% on this one. Rotation lock = always on. Turning your phone for that video? No way. I’ve deleted so many games because they are horizontal and not vertical. It’s one of the reasons I stopped playing Clash of Clans and started Clash Royale many years ago. You’re not alone Steve. Anyways lol, love the pod, keep being amazing, and love the content!

First podcast
I found this podcast when i had barely started doing graveyard shift and it soon went from being a struggle to stay awake to now laughing in the halls making people think I’m crazy but i have to say that this podcast has helped me a lot! Hosts are very profesional and i feel like they all voice a different opinion and so far so good! Definitely binge worthy, background noice premier, and the pokemon of the week keeps the suspense manageable so that it’s always good coming back next week! 10/10

Best Pokémon Podcast
Steve and the co-hosts have amazing chemistry, very structured show, but always find a way to make it interesting. Steve also brings in guests from time to time, which always provides insight on another part of the Pokémon community, whether it be writers, voice actors, or other content creators.

Five stars well deserved here! SBJ and company do a great job with keeping up on all things Pokémon. Listening to the cast sounds more like you’re listening to a group of friends than a scripted news cast which I really love. Don’t get me wrong, it’s all very professional and SBJ has worked incredibly hard keeping a regular schedule with actual new content every week. Even if you’re just a casual Pokémon player you’ll love these episodes as the conversations often develop into so much more. I’ve been a listener for over four years and I’m ashamed I haven’t written this review until now, so check it out you won’t be disappointed! Great Crew with Great Diversity
Too often times, game/anime podcast and forums are dominated by straight white men. The crew of ISE not only showcase the real diversity of our Pokémon community, but they manage to have a fun time doing it. Back to the real grind!
Always have been a Pokémon fan but have been detached from my younger days of grinding through y’all grass for a long time. Finally have came back in full force with Pokemon Sword and you guys have been super helpful and keep me entertained now at work(Ironic how I run a real life gym🤔). Saved my life!
I started listening on November of 2019 and it quickly became one of my favorite podcasts. The news coverage is amazing, the crew is funny and inviting, and the quality of the content is absolutely superb! I had to spend thanksgiving alone this year, but because of this podcast, I felt like I was spending time with friends rather than sitting in a hotel room by myself. After that, I started listening to it every day on my way to work and on my way back from work. This is perhaps one of the best podcasts I’ve ever listened to and it helped to keep me going through a tough season in life. Can’t wait to see what’s next!!

Major and Minor Leagues
I’m sure this has been said before but I think that, since the gyms in the Galar region are based off of real like European football clubs and stadiums that the major and minor leagues will function similarly to how they do in the English Football Leagues. Basically there are several leagues: The Premier League, Championship League, League One, League Two and so on. Basically, the way it works is the clubs compete with each other throughout the season and the team at the top of the premier league is declared the champion. The bottom three clubs are relegated to Championship while the top teams in Championship are promoted up to the Premier League. It’s a bit more complicated than that but that’s the gist of it. I don’t know if this is exactly what they’re going for but I feel like it would be a fairly interesting idea to add to the games to make it feel more like England

on the most recent installment of this program, two hosts proceeded to rant about an EXP share feature they dislike, but week after week they complain about people who are upset that their favorite Pokemon might not make the cut for the next game. Using Pokemon (retirement) Home as an excuse when we have seen no features for it yet is pretty upsetting. Plus the Pokemon of the week stopped being interesting when they started doing like a cliff hanger type thing instead of having the hosts guess after hearing the clues. I'm taking my business elsewhere

I’ve been listening to this Podcast for about 5 years. I love this crew so much. Steve, Wil, and Greg are the best crew. They should be the main three for many years to come because I love their chemistry. Each week I tune to hear what feel like old friends keep me informed. First, I am a big fan of the podcast. I believe you’re the best Pokémon podcast out, all around. However, your recent put down of Pokémon duel bothered me enough to actually write in. I loved Pokémon duel personally and there’s quite a following around the world. The people that play this game, while few compared to Pokémon go of course is not small. Pokémon duel was the 2nd most installed Pokémon mobile game of 2018 with over 39 million downloads. The belief among players is they’re closing down Pokémon duel to boost downloads of Pokémon masters. I will be boycotting masters as a result. Pokémon duel is an awesome strategy game imo and I’ve been huge fan since its inception. This has been by far the greatest Pokémon game to me and I’m sorry you don’t see it that way, so, quit now Frauds!..

Not only the best Pokémon podcast, but THE best podcast!
I have been listening to the show for about 5 years now, I honestly hate myself for not writing a review earlier! This is the only podcast I can bring myself to listen to weekly, I never get sick of it! I love all of the hosts/hostesses, and they all bring their own kind of humor and perspective to the show. I wish I could rate this higher than a 5 just because of how much I enjoy the show. I am a donor to Steve on twitch, and his whole streaming life is nothing more than a good kid-friendly hangout spot. Was looking for a good Pokémon Podcast I could listen to while working, and this is the one, these guys are a great mix of different opinions and backgrounds and it all meshes really well, some episodes are heated with great arguments that give great info either way, and some are peaceful and just collaborative thinking. Amazing Podcast
I usually have not been a big podcast fan but I started to listen to a few of Steve’s and from what I’ve heard so far it’s great. I actually found his podcast when he was mentioning it in his live Twitch streams. The interaction between the hosts are great and they get along so well! Great Podcast and Hosts
I look forward to this podcast every week! I download it first thing every Monday. Although the content is great (between “Pokemon of the Week,” news, and fun audience submitted pokemon related questions that take my mind to a state of reminiscence) the usual cast and crew of the show is reason enough to return week after week. SBJ and Will make a great duo while current cohost Greg is just the sprinkles on top. It can also be said that the inclusivity of the show and hosts is a great thing to see (or hear) in any media. You’re all my favorite!

Always hilarious which is great. All of the hosts/guests are amazing. I don’t get to talk much about Pokémon in my everyday life so it’s great just to get to hear ppl talk about it honestly. As a queer woman, nerd/gaming spaces can be pretty hostile a lot of the time, so I was pleasantly surprised to find that everyone on the podcast was very welcoming and kind.

This Podcast is Getting Me Through College
Hey all!! This year I started my first semester in college in Chicago and one of the things getting me through it was booting back up Pokémon Go and being able to play it walking through the city. I’ve been a lifelong Pokémon fan and having Pokémon be such a big part of my life led me to needing even more outlets of expressing it so I quickly and feverishly searched in the Podcast App on my phone for a Pokémon related podcast! Lo and Behold I discovered It’s Super Effective and I am now an active listener keeping up with all the weekly uploads, enjoying it immensely and listening while walking through the streets of Chicago swiping around my phone catching these fun little Pocket Monsters in Pokémon Go. I love listening and hearing the thoughts, jokes, and commentary on Pokémon as a whole and being completely absorbed into the world hearing all the news of Pokémon! Thanks for this wonderful podcast, I owe my college success and homesick days living in a brand new city to me to being able to listen to this podcast on a weekly basis. Maybe not for everyone but it's OK
The host keeps talking about how he's played pokemon for 22 years even though it's only been out in USA for 20 years. This podcast is sometimes full of weird flexes and gatekeeping, but if you can get over that it can be worth a listen as it's well produced and often shares some good info.

Good but could be better
So I would like to start by saying I love the lengthy talk about certain Pokémon news articles and anything related to Pokémon however something that I have hated from the beginning is that 2 of the hosts make sure you know almost every single episode is that “HEY IF YOU DIDN'T KNOW IT IM GAY” which is fine whatever. But I came to this podcast wanting to hear about Pokémon not about your sexuality. The host is a cool guy and surly deserves much more than he gets. Anyways worth the check I listen to this every week for almost a year now and besides that one aspect it is nice to have a great podcast.

Will is wrong about most things but in particular Gen 5 is the worst with the suckiest most generic animeish legendaries. BW2 was a joke (as is USUM). Gen 3 is the best. 4/5 good podcast, solid content with coverage of all aspects of Pokémon. That Scottish guy was the best.

Reignited my love for Pokémon!
I originally started listening to this podcast earlier this year as I had just gotten back into Pokémon Go and needed a source for news about updates and Community Days. Little did I expect it would become so much more. I’ve always been a Pokémon fan, my first game was Blue version, but I found myself losing interest in the games a few years ago. I never completed ORAS or SuMo, despite owning copies from both. I suspect my loss of interest had a lot to do with having no one to talk about the games to anymore, as most of my friends had moved on as they got older. Listening to SBJ and the rest of the crew talk about all the different aspects of Pokémon has reignited my love for Pokémon in a major way. I enjoy that they talk not only about the games, but also the show TCG and VGC and even about new merchandise that’s coming out. Listening to ISE has expanded my interest in Pokémon to the TCG, and has even piqued my interest towards the VGC. Pokémon is so expansive it can be overwhelming at times, and the ISE crew does a great job at covering the news of each element of Pokémon while keeping it very entertaining. I can’t speak for the Slack community but SBJ’s stream is absolutely lovely and the Discord channel associated with it is a wonderful, wonderful community that I’m so happy to be a part of. In summary, It’s Super Effective! is a wonderful Pokémon news podcast, but it is also a great hub for discussion and it is clear the crew has a lot of passion for the franchise. -Zel from stream.

Hey guys! So The last year I have been really into podcasts. So I tried to find a pokemon podcast a few months ago and came across this gem of a podcast. Literally just give this podcast a try. It’s one of the best ones for the topic. They give you news for Pokémon. And not just the game, they give you updates on the video games, trading card games, the anime and even Pokémon merch! Very Annoying
I really tried to get into this podcast since it had such a high rating. All it is is a few guys who talk as if they know everything (including one guy with that really condescending voice where you know if you get something even slightly wrong, he’d go, “Um, actually...” and proceed to give you a full lecture on what you got wrong and why) while actually speculating wildly themselves. Much of the time goes into uninteresting rambles and kind of makes you feel bad for these guys. But it all just makes me feel bad for listening, so I’d recommend stepping away from this podcast.

This show is the reason i love podcasts
A couple years back i was told to listen to podcasts because i was driving long distances and was told it would help me keep my mind sharp after college. It was right bwfore sun and moon launched and ive always been an avid pokemon fan so i thought i would make a pokemon podcast my first podcast ever. Luckily for me i stumbled upon this treasure. I love podcasts now but this one is my gold standard to which i compare all others. I love the real talk and talk about real life issues through the pokemon lens and even though some hosts keep changing i havent heard a host i dont like. So thanks. And keep up the good work. Dont know where Id be without you guys. And i definitely wouldnt have survived those long drives to work without you.

Fun, Informative, and Well Rounded!!
So many other Pokémon related podcasts are informative, but come with biases. Some favor the games and ignore Pokémon go, some favor the TCG, and some ignore side games. It’s Super Effective covers all of the above. Everybody is fun and brings a lot of love to the table and it shows. Couldn’t recommend it more!!

Each weekend, I don’t find myself dreading to upcoming Monday, but looking forward to it because it means another new episode of It’s Super Effective! The creators and their guests are all fantastic personalities that remind us that Pokémon fans can be all kinds of people. The joy with which SBJ and Will break down and deliver Pokémon news makes each episode a joy to listen to, and even though they sometimes mispronounce a name or two, or argue passionately about a rumor for twenty minutes, it just goes to show how passionate about the games they really are. This is without a doubt the best Pokémon podcast that’s currently out.

Great Content, Great People
I’ve been listening to ISE for a year and a half now and it has become my favorite podcast. Everyone on the show is very friendly and they get along with each other, and that warmth is infectious. The host, SBJ, does an incredible job at creating and maintaining a community, both because of this friendly attitude but also because of his passion for this podcast and other projects. To wrap things off, I’ll just say that if you like Pokémon in any way, shape, or form, I definitely recommend this podcast.

This one however is so good to listen to, I like that everyone on the podcast never talks presumptuously because at the end of the day, a lot of realize we’re adults playing a video game aimed at children. Regardless, this podcast is always something I tune into at work. At 24 years old I’ve played and been a fan of Pokémon for nearly 20 years, so it’s great to listen to people who are as enthusiastic about Pokémon as I am. Keep up the great work!

Something that makes Monday’s great
This is the best thing I’ve ever listen to, and I’ve listened to some great things; Obama’s inaugural speech, my mom giving me advice, the new post Malone album, and etc. This makes my week. I listen to it at work (a job where I’m isolated by myself with organs). It feels like I’m just chillin with a crew a friends hanging out talking about Pokémon. What’s not to love!?! I never really get to talk Pokemon with my friends because none of them play. Also, the slack community is legendary. Very welcoming and just feels like an extension of the podcast. Like talking to your friends about Pokemon
I've been listening to this podcast for almost two years. I even went back and started at Episode 1 and have listened to every Episode in the library. This show is exactly like talking to your friends about Pokemon. The information isn't always 100% accurate or serious. Each host has their own personality and preferences when it comes to favorite Pokemon, favorite parts of the games, and favorite spin-off games. There is plenty of humor and sometimes you even get deep discussions about Pokemon lore, controversial topics, or even Pokemon's place in the world. I have never given money to a podcaster, Twitch streamer, or free-to-play game, but I enjoy this podcast enough that I contribute to the Patreon monthly. I look forward to new episodes every week and definitely think this is worth the listen.

If you like Pokémon, there isn't a better podcast than this one! I've been listening to It's Super Effective for five or six years at this point, and while sometimes life gets busy and I stop listening for a month or two, I always come back to this podcast. It's extremely fun, funny, comfortable, and easy to listen to. SBJ and the crew tend to get off-topic in some of the best ways, always coming back around to everything Pokémon as the focus of this show. This podcast has evolved a lot over the years (should I ask if it's past mega evolution yet?) and it's consistent. If you just need time to relax and want to be transported into the world of Pokémon news, this is a fantastic place, and because of how long it's been running, there are plenty of old episodes to listen to as well. (Though, with this podcast, usually the newest episode is the best place to start!) It's Super Effective is a part of the great worldwide community of Pokémon fans, and it has a fantastic and supportive community of its own as well. I can't speak of it highly enough. If you're looking for competitive strategies this podcast isn't usually the right place, but for almost anything else Pokémon, it really is.

Why do a podcast if you are not somewhat of an expert on the topic? They give a disclosure saying they have better things to do than play the game so they rush through it. I listen to this to get inside info and tips on getting that 100% complete. Not to hear someone complain about how annoying Rotom is or to listen to three doofuses stammering trying to remember what happens next then eventually giving up to say, “Who even cares anyway?”

I have been listening to this show since Pokemon Go came out and it has reignited my nostalgic love for Pokemon. SBJ (the main host) does an excellent job getting episodes out in a consistent manner and I thoroughly enjoy the conversations that he and his co-hosts have. What really takes this to the next level however is the community that exists around the podcast. The hosts are very interactive on twitter, twitch, and on the community slack channel. The hosts and mods have created a positive and fun environment for discussion. This group of disparate people coming together to rejoice in their common interest is a bright spot of the internet which is too often filled with trolls. I would recommend this podcast to anyone who has ever loved a part of the Pokemon franchise; video game, anime, TCG, etc. If you enjoy the podcast I would also recommend that you join the slack channel it is a lot of fun.

One host is a sassy and erudite gentleman, the other a goof who stumbles over words and has the purest most innocent laugh on this otherwise desolate earth. They have great chemistry. They also actually care about editing and audio quality, which puts them ahead of most other fandom podcasts out there.

Nice pokèmon
10/10 very well made and edited I love listening to x and y theories after it came out. My favorite pokèmon is Mimikyu. I also like Manchomp. This is a great podcast that covers all things pokemon. They have a good balance of pokemon go, trading card game, video games and any random other pokemon news. Extra bonus epsidoes when new video games come out to cover their experience playing the game. Nice that it is family friendly so ok for the small ones to listen to as well.
