The best TWIT podcast
iOS today carries useful information each week. It avoids long banter on Apple’s social policies that has become the hallmark of MacBreak Weekly. I learn something each show!

It Wears Me Out
I was glad to see Leo give way to Rosemary. There were shows where Leo barely let Mikah speak. Mikah & Rosemary are good together, & cover some good topics. That said, Mikah’s hosting style is very frenetic, & I find it makes for a stilted flow. Somehow his commercials seem so much longer than that of any TWIT network show. Overall, you can mine some good info here, but Mikah’s style is definitely an acquired taste, & you can find yourself worn out after listening.

Both Mikah and Rosemary have done a great job replacing Leo. I really love their chemistry, presentation skills and knowledge. Thank you Leo for allowing and giving these protégés a chance to grow and showcase knowledge/skills.

Fun, informative
Been a listener for awhile, love the banter. Always find a useful tips for iOS. More often than not, I try their App Caps. Loved grandpa Leo, but Rosemary is a delight. Met her in person in Chicago and she is charming as she sounds. Mikah’s best show since Somehow I Manage. (Please come back at least for the finale)

Fun Podcast For Apple Nerds
I’m a huge fan of the TWIT network and love the addition of Mikah to the team. iOS Today is a great look at the latest iOS news and the most interesting apps. I don’t even use most of the apps that they talk about, but I really enjoy hearing what’s possible on iOS. Mikah is an excellent host and always guides an informative and fun show. Enjoying the permanent addition of Rosemary too!

From its’ inception, I had occasionally used this podcast as a reference. When Mikah came on board, I rarely missed an episode. While I miss some LaPorte, with the addition of Rosemary and the rapport between she and Mikah, I do what it takes to catch each episode. Knowledge regarding my chosen os and its’ systems. Thank you!

Thanks for this episode. Can we remind ourselves that White people need to be just as open about the secrets that are held, that work to promote racism. Often times White people have the power to say to other White people “No, don’t do that!”And don’t because it is taught not to rock the boat and things are the way they are because it’s always been that way.

Always look forward to the show
I’ve always looked forward to this show every week and was concerned when Megan Marone left. But have been more than pleased with the addition of Mikah Sargent, who is a great foil for Leo. They play well off of each other and Mikah is really good at reeling in Leo when he flies off on tangents. I enjoy the information, but the fun banter makes it also entertaining! Mac Break Weekly and iOS Today need to cover different subjects! It’s boring to listen to one to the hear the same material on the other. I get it already you and your cohorts are not happy with Apples new offerings, please move on. Perhaps you should combine the two shows, maybe there’s not enough material anymore for two shows

Leo Laporte interrupts and talks over his co-host Megan
Leo never lets Megan finish her reviews, he constantly interrupts her, talks over her and takes over the conversation. Pretty rude host. I’ve been a twit fan for a number of years but this is turning me off. Just tried to listen to the latest podcast 1/22/19 and it’s really bad. I feel sorry for Megan

App Also Rhymes with Sap
TWIT does a lot of great shows, but unfortunately this ain't one of them. I've listened to it since day one, even before I got my first iPad. I really want to like this show -- occasionally they give some useful information, but I can't make it thru even one full episode anymore because of all the incessant baby-talk and idiocy. The two hosts don't act like professionals, don't take anything serious. They they make (lame) jokes and giggle, and act like very slow kindergarteners. Leo manages to combine humor with serious useful info in his other podcasts, but that isn't working on iOS Today; it's just a free-for-all. I like Megan. I think she's a real, down to earth person, and is a great addition to the show. Leo just seems to be phoning it in half the time. He's unprepared, and it reads like he's bored. It's time to overhaul the show, new format, new co-host (goodbye Leo). A little more structure and less of this free flowing dialogue which goes nowhere. And I would love it if you got rid of the hats; they're not funny, not clever, and I cannot figure out why you do this, unless it's because cap and app rhyme.

Sarah and Leo, awesome show!
Sarah, don't listen to any of these people writing reviews saying you "interupt" Leo. You are doing just fine. iPad Today is my favorite podcast. Keep up the great work, guys! Look TWiT! Sarah is the real deal on iPad Today. I personally think Leo ALWAYS interupts Sarah. All the other people on here saying Leo is the star, read the album art. Does it just say Leo Laporte? NO! It says Leo Laporte AND Sarah Lane. Leo is OK, is what I'm trying to say.

Too many ads
I liked this show more before there were SO.MANY.ADS. I have to fast-forward through them. I love the episodes when Leo is gone only because they do pre-recorded ad reads from him and I can immediately know when the ad read is over. :) hee hee. I am always impressed with how Sarah deals with Leo's ridiculousness without missing a beat or getting upset/flustered. Seriously, when I have to deal with difficult or immature people I do sometimes think about how Sarah handles things on this show. That sounds lame, but it is really true. Overall, I like the chemistry between Sarah and Leo, and I like the fact that the show does not take itself too seriously. I mean, this is an iPad. It's supposed to be fun, right? I enjoy the fact that they know their stuff but keep it accessible for all of us non-techies. I do not like the weird psedo-sexual jokes that happen sometimes usually because of Leo's joking around/general level of immaturity and immorality. Again though-- this show is really long because of all the ad reads, which seem to be increasing in number and in length. I get it that you need to get paid, but it is feeling really excessive.

Casual and informative
I like this show and I like Sarah Lane on it. She doesn't have the best radio voice but she actually does some homework and she brings a bit of a female sensibility to the ridiculously male-dominated field of tech journalism. The show gets a little too chatty for my taste sometimes, but it beats the heck out of yet another show full of guys who were all the president of their AV club in high school.

Unsubscribed, and not due to Leo….
I have been a long time fan of TWiT and MBW and was thrilled when I got my iPad so I could listen to IPT and get some helpful news about the iPad. Instead, I spent the last 6 months forcing myself to listen to Sarah drown out Leo, hoping that Leo would quit being the Mr. Nice Guy he always is and find someone to replace her. She comes off as having a fake personality and her consistent references to being a cheerleader in high school doesn't help. She needs to tone it down and let Leo have a bit more input. I'm not being a hater because I understand the show is free and I have done what anyone who gets a freebie does when they are unpleased with it…. walk away. I am fanatical about the entire TWiT network and most of the personalities who regularly visit the TWiT brick house. They are doing a great service for those of us who don't have the opportunity to be in the tech field. Sarah just irks me the wrong way. I cringe for Leo at the end of each episode doing that stupid App Cap nonsense. I can hear it in his voice how much he "enjoys" doing it. Until she is gone, I will just be sticking with looking forward to my weekly installments of TWiT and MBW.

Great BUT Sarah Lane is Clearly Bitter about Something
She is a very good speaker, very smart and organized too. However, she is completely rude to Leo, her boss. She should really respect him more as a human being. If you took a mash up video of all the times she's called him "stupid, lame, weird etc" it'd be 20 minutes long! To the man who EMPLOYS HER??I'm sorry, but I imagine she is tough to get along with! I would never call my boss an idiot-ever. The chemistry is just fake. She frequently goes off on Leo for simply being silly or funny, it's ridiculous! She basically has no tolerance for him and it COMPLETELY SHOWS!!! Leo never calls her superficial and conceited, even though she is. She cannot take jokes, jabs or anything. She is way too serious. I like her speaking skills, but she is mean to the person paying her. If I were Leo, I'd find a cohost that respected me.

I've been listening to the TWIT podcasts for a while now on my first gen iPhone and let me tell you, it's a great way to fill up those random time periods (commuting, math class -_-) this podcast is great, not necessarily for the apps reviews but more for the entertainment factor. Love This Show (and Sarah)
This is a great show with wonderful and interesting content but it is also hilarious. iPad Today introduced me to the TWIT network and takes up a lot of my time. I watch it and I don't' even have an iPad yet !
I started watching this netcast for two reasons - I like Leo and Sarah and I hope to get an iPad someday, but wanted to know more about what I could do with it before putting down the big bucks. I'm now convinced that getting an iPad would be great fun for seeing my images, reading, and watching videos, plus a lot of other things that my iPod Touch can do but will look better on the bigger screen. But I continue to watch the show because I enjoy watching Leo and Sarah banter and they also alert me to apps that I wouldn't hear about otherwise - for my iPod, for now. I don't understand the snarky campaign against Sarah, since she is not only a very knowledgeable tech professional, but a very composed and entertaining co-host. I have loved Leo for years, but few people can play against the power of his personality, and Sarah is able to cooly continue her reviews while playfully ignoring Leo's games in the background. Leo obviously, IMHO, is aware of Sarah's capabilities since they have worked together for years. This is a show that I watch even though I don't own an iPad or know when I will buy one - I watch because the show is good entertainment value as well as informative regarding iPads and apps. Keep up the good work, guys, and don't let the negative nannies get you down.

Not Leo's best
I listen to 4 of Leo's podcasts (tech, windows, Mac, & iPad) and this is the poorest. Sorry to join the chorus but Sarah is a difficult co-host. No opinion she has sounds sincere or honest. A new co-host is desperately needed.

A tough slog
I really love my new iPad 2 and am sure Leo can bring a smart podcast to the iPad luvin' masses. But Sarah Lane is utterly obnoxious. Listened to a full show yesterday and was gritting my teeth every time she opened her annoying yap. If she would shut up (or just go away) this would be a pretty good show. Instead I can only hope she keeps her grating vocalizations to a minimum. Or perhaps go in search of some other iPad 'casts.

Not very good
Recently this show opened with 45 minutes of discussion about the best group messaging apps for people headed to SXSW, while amazingly boring you could normally defend the choice of content except for the fact that iPad 2 was announced the day prior, so 45 minutes of group messaging apps and then limited discussion of iPad 2 on a show called iPad Today...ok. And then there's Sarah Lane, she must be the nicest person in the world because she adds nothing to any of the programs she's on. This show is very flawed.

Grating personality
First let me say I am a fan of Leo and I have watched his content since he was performing The Screensavers out of New York. I have even been to see a live recording of the Screensavers. Unfortunately this show is to irritating to listen to. Sarah Lane just grates on me. She does not deliver compelling content and comes off as very self absorbed. Let's face it this show is for iPad owners so tailor the content accordingly.

Enough of the fluff, give us content!
First, I must agree with the reviewer below, the coverage of vaporware iPad killers was so uninteresting that I image 90% of listeners skipped it, like I did. I don't give a rat's a** about other tablets or operating systems. I subscribe to learn about iPad apps/accessories of which I was previously unaware. Please skip the apps that everyone and his brother already own, e.g., Angry Birds, Twitter, etc. And please put some limits on the repartee, sometimes I feel like I'm listening to a morning talk show on the radio. I want to learn about lesser known apps that I might never have discovered without listening to the podcast! And I want in-depth reviews, spend a few minutes on each, please. Thanks!

Sarah has a face for radio, not that she's unattractive, but she has this annoying sneer when making a lot of comments. Also, NOT EVERY APP HAS TO BE WORTH BUYING. I've seen two episodes and though there are free comparable or better apps, Sarah will typically say "yeah, but it's still worth it." this loses a lot of credibility with me.

iPad Case Studies
Hey Leo & Sarah. Good job so far with the ipadcasts! I know that you are still working out the bugs, but we have come to expect a very high level of entertainment AND education with TWIT products (I can barely drive down the road with out listening to THE tech guy). The iPad is an interesting beast and as Leo has pointed out since April is definitely a consumption device. So, this we know, and the fun stuff is easy to wrap your mind around. I think it would be very helpful if you rounded up some case studies of how people are using their iPads for business. We all know that there are zillions of time wasting games and downright ridiculous APPS (the cat thing was a total waste of air time) but almost everyone I know really freaks when I show them how I've adapted by iPad to work. While I have not replaced my laptop and/or my trusty iMac, I have indeed learned to carry the iPad around almost exclusively and very effectively. The idea of the iPad interfacing with the cloud in business is also a very hot topic. Just some suggestions, keep up the good work.

Good content - Sarah is just not right
Really enjoy the content. Have been a Leo fan for years. He has a great voice and really makes tech interesting. Sarah is another story. She just doesn't have the voice or personality for radio. I agree with other commenters, that she has a bad habit of talking over Leo. Come on, LEO is the star! I also enjoy Tech News Today, but usually don't listen to Mon and Fri show, because I find Sarah distracting to listen to (maybe irritating is a better word). The rest of the talent is very professional. From other's comments, I realize that it's just not me. With all the talent available in this recession, I am supprised that Leo would put her behind the mic. Looking forward to Leo's next hit show.

Needs Some Work
Great concept and Leo has the expertise and talent to deliver, but Sarah has a lot to learn about radio on-air broadcasting. Sarah is constantly talking and is jumping all over the place. I agree with the comments that this show needs a more seasoned personality in the mix with a wider-range of mobile technology experience and knowledge to make it work better. I also think with a little more focus the length could be substantially reduced. I'll stick around for awhile to see if it improves, but as it is now it needs improvement. I have found myself skipping the broadcast and just go to the show notes when it gets too painful. Leo, I also agree with the comments that we understand AT&T's network could be better but the constant rants are getting old and really aren't going to change anything except to drive your audience away.

Room for improvement
Being TWiT listener for several years and iPad owner since April 3, I had high expectations, but the obvious attempt to make this podcast for a broad audience makes the value of the content limited. Additionally, there are lots of iPad users that are using the device for more than games and content consumption. The podcast for us has yet to be created.

Annoying format
Did someone decide to take the worst aspects of the TWIT network and make a podcast out of them? Frequently talking over one another, drivel rather than news of interest and trying to sell personality over content... this is a major disappointment. Go back to the roots, where listener is king.

Sarah definitely needs a muzzle, her "budinski" style of over talking Leo is frustrating. She needs to take a backseat to the Master and learn... other than that Leo is great as always! I am not convinced that Sarah needs to be there if she is going to distract the audience. Also, who cares if she has had implant or not..... ooops, wrong Sarah. How about those 9'ers ? Based on listening to the first episode and then watching the 3rd one stream live: I generally love Leo's podcasts--and this one is worth listening to, but it feels off balance; as some other's have mentioned--there's not enough Leo and too much Sarah. Leo has the great voice, the easy manner and the on the mark way of making a point. Sarah has a lot of good thoughts and ideas, but lacks in the delivery, but she's doing a much greater amount of the talking. The banter and rhythm of the conversation feels forced. Maybe what's needed is a third regular cast member: listening to IPad Today makes me think about how great the chemistry on MacBreak Weekly was/is. Update, watching the 2nd podcast: Seeing them do this show at a cafe--which seemed like a great idea--I had a horrible feeling that I was watching Regis and Kathy Lee do an infomercial for the iPad! A cutesy put-on aimed at a very different audience than the average tech podcast viewer--not for me. I'll try the show sometime in the future to see if they've got it right, but for now I'm lowering my rating of the show and looking elsewhere for iPad information.

Sarah Lane is awesome!
I'm excited to see Sarah is cohosting the show. I think she brings the right amount of youth and fun to what could be a really dry topic. I almost wish it were Sarah and Martin. Or Andy.

Calm down Sarah. Maybe you should record a few test shows with Leo and listen to them yourself before you go public. Let the master take the lead.

THe iPad Show take 2
Great show Leo... except it is the exact same format and layout as The iPad Show. I was expecting something a little more inventive but there really is not much you can change to a perfect show ;-)

Lots of potential
Listened to the first episode. The show has a lot of potential. But Sarah needs to stop talking over the top of Leo. Sometimes he couldn't finish a sentence and that made the initial few minutes of the show difficult to listen to. Don't forget about business and productivity tools for the ipod. Overall, good show and looking forward to the weekly episodes.

I was really expecting some expert knowledge on the ipad but was unpleasntly surprized when everything that was covered is to easy. Have someone younger come in and show you the the skeptic view of the ipad is what we want to hear. A younger person would tell us things a that match the younger generation.

Need video
Been looking forward to this new podcast from Leo's network. Was really excited when I found out that the first episode was out. I love the show but this podcast really needs a video version, hard to visualize all the apps they feature. I hope the video version comes out soon.

Awesome
Great show! I Have been listening to the TWiT network for a long time and am so glad that this podcast came about. I have been waiting since you mentioned it a couple of months ago. I have been relegated to listening to other podcasts for my app fulfillment. They're not all bad, but it's great to hear that friendly wise voice of Leo reviewing apps and hardware. I have been listening to Leo on Screensavers since I was 12 and was pumped about the TWiT network. Sarah does a great job as a cohost as well. The podcast is great so far and has SO much potential for the future. WAY TO GO GUYS, KEEP UP THE AWESOME WORK!!!
