Because people want to get to know the real you often before they work with you yet, many real estate agents aren't sure how to Showcase their personalities or honestly feel awkward doing. Okay, let's get one thing. Either way personality isn't a vanity tactic for your marketing. It's not, it's actually a way to make your marketing more genuine and make you more approachable. Because I don't want people to just be able to swap out your headshot, on your marketing and be able to replace you with any other agent. That's generic marketing and it doesn't help you build your personal brand and it doesn't help. Foster does deep connections. Your personality is what makes a difference in your marketing. And if you're listening to this episode, we more than likely haven't met in real life.
What do you feel like, you know, me a little bit just from listening to me. I know, I listen to all kinds of podcast for. I feel like I know the person because their personality comes through and your personality will Empower you to create relationships with people before you ever even met them. So that you're not doing that awkward sales dance. Where you like, notice me. You work with me? I'm great. They already know all of that because I know your personality and they've been following along. They feel like they already know you. That's why I'm such a fan of injecting personality into your marketing, have to be something that's weird. That's not authentic to you and something that you can easily start doing if you just starts thinking about it a little more and it all starts with your mindset. The two most disruptive forces in your real estate marketing are often confidence and comparison. So that lack of confidence that can stop you from trying a great new idea.
And from rising up from just being. Okay, to be Exceptional from being mediocre to being amazing and the comparison, trap and stopped so many agents before they even began. I can't tell you how many times I've spoken to an agent over the years and they say, they want to try something new that they're comparing themselves to someone else case in point. They'll say something like I really want to try X and maybe axes. They want to film the video where they want to Brand themselves in a specific niche market and then they go on to say. But so, and so this agent is already doing it and then they're so insert your adjectives here. They're so experienced. They're so captivating, they're so well-known.
They want to do something but they're stuck and comparing themselves to hell that other person. Does it have to let you in on a little secret here? Nobody is going to get to know you if you're too focused on what other agents are doing and how their personalities are coming across. We don't want to highlight other agents personalities, we want yours to shine through that way. You can make those genuine connections and the people that want to work with an agent, like you are able to find you and it's no secret here. Personalities, very greatly. So true. No two of us are like there's all kinds of different ends of the personality Spectrum. Some people are very high-energy, some people are more calming have a more relaxing personality and I think this is most evident and video marketing and I firmly believe that video is one of the best ways for people to get to know you but it's also a great source of that comparison.
And when you go to watch a video, you might notice that people on video tend to act a certain way. And then he thought, leaders and Industry Pros right here in real estate, they have his high-energy personalities and if you're not naturally as high-energy it can be, sometimes frustrating to watch how they engage on screen, and you start comparing yourself to them, but I have good news for you here. You're not them. See, you don't have to be, then people want to get to know the real you and your next buyer or seller wants to work with you and not those people that you're watching on video. So don't compare your personality to others because your personality will help you attract your ideal customer and not everybody is attracted to every personality. I think this is really important to remember, especially when you're watching other people's personalities, who seem just so out there and so over-the-top and maybe you're more laid-back. There is a hundred percent, nothing wrong with that. So don't compare yourself to what you're seeing in other people because you were personality is going to attract your customer, dive deeper into this topic in my episode. Why your real estate marketing isn't all about you. So definitely check that out. It will help you with your mindset of coming from a place of helping your customer and not focusing. All your attention on you, even though this is a funny thought we're talkin about your real estate marketing and your personality, and it all just takes practice. The more you put yourself out there with your real estate marketing. The more confident, you will become and it starts with just getting out there and getting in front of the camera. And one of the best ways to inject personality is to show up on camera and to show up on social. Have you ever watch TV together? Watch the video series and you felt like, you truly knew the person on the other side of it. We talked about this.
For podcast video, I bet you have strong feelings of favorite characters on your TV shows. You might watch a personality on the news, if you feel like, you know, somebody or maybe you're just following them on social and you're looking at their photos, you're reading the captions and you're getting a sense of who they are. The number one, way to highlight your personality, in your marketing through videos and photos of you. Yes I said it you're going to have to show up on camera if you are focused on injecting your personality and growing your brain and Jessie and personality, not just for the fun of it so that we can grow your friend and so that we can make connections and it might feel a little strange at first, and a little even self-focused, but it's how people online will be able to connect with you. It's how people will starve for me. Those relationships before they meet you in real life. And video is when the first places you can start, and you can do
Cynicism is true personality through video and when I'm filming a video or I'm coaching agents on filming a video, I always like to think of the camera as another person in the conversation so you're thinking about the camera as that other person in the conversation and that's all that person watching will be able to connect with you and a video marketing is something that makes you uncomfortable and you don't know where it again. Don't worry. I have a few goodies and resources that will help. So first I'd recommend you start with episode 4 of the podcast, overcoming, the fear of video for real estate agents, this will help you break through that confidence barrier and in it. I go over the five strategies or you can get more comfortable with video to start there. And then after you've done that read or listen to episode 23, the framework of a successful real estate video because there is a Formula There's an actual formula.
For successful videos. And if you follow my guidelines will be able to show off your personality while attracting your next customer, we're always strategic with our marketing or just not doing a video for the sake of the videoing. In all those resources will help you get more confident on video. Video is an excellent way to show off your personality and make those connections. The next way is to Simply show your face on social. If your social media feed is full of graphics and pretty homes. How much of that represent your personality? And I looked at your social right now, would I know that it's you? Or could it be somebody else? You need to mix in photos of yourself for people to be able to connect with you and get to know you. And I know that my experience in real estate marketing, I've always found great success with encouraging agents to post photos of themselves to strategically grow their businesses. And I've also found personally that photos of myself work best do on Instagram at ideas for Real Estate. If you go check out my Instagram, you'll see that. I post a lot of photos of myself to promote the podcast and all the content that I'm talking about and a photo of me always has better than any graphics. I post, let's say I want to talk about an upcoming podcast a photo of myself or I'm talking about the podcast it's more comments he gets more engagement gets more clicks to my website than a simple graphic does because I'm social people are looking to follow and connect with other people. They're looking to get to know the real you and you can be very strategic with using photos of yourself to grow your brand.
And to confidently and purposely that key here, purposely reflect who you are through photos. I have some more resources for you. So, you can show off your personality online, through images, images of yourself, in your marketing is key. If you want people to know you. And there is no better way than actually showing up as you however, photos and video alone aren't the only way to inject personality into your brain.
Your words have a lot of power as well to my next tip is to write to highlight your personality. So your written words can be a reflection of your personality, whether it's your social media captions, your email marketing, or even the content on your website, the tone and the style of your writing can showcase your personality is the easiest way to do this, you're like oh my gosh. I'm not a writer easiest way to do this. It's simply not. Overthink it it's to write like, you talk. It's as simple as that. If you're writing social media caption, maybe it's about a new construction Community, describe it. Like, you would to someone you were talking to. So if you're witty or you're funny, make sure to include that in your writing, if you're more a beat or even serious, your tone and your language can reflect that as well. And while we no longer, write, long letters are the people. We know, it doesn't mean we aren't able to connect with our work.
This is one of the most overlooked opportunities for developing your brand with, finding your brand as a real estate agent. So don't shy away from everything, you write, and how it can be an opportunity to showcase who you are. And if you need a little more help, writing captions, I recommend you. Look at my episode 23, easy prompts. When you don't know what to say, for some more ideas there. And then also, make sure you're following me all social at ideas for real estate and you can see how I write my own captions. You can start to see that the way, where my captions the way I talk on my podcast, I am logged. It's all part of my personality and that's all part of my branding, because your visuals and your language are part of your agent branding and this is another opportunity to get creative with your marketing. So the next idea is to inject your personality into your branding.
So you're branding as a real estate agent in Chile who you are, it's far beyond the colors, your logos, your type. I mean, you think about all the aspects of your branding from the visual to even the ideals that you stand behind, I want you to lean into your personality because you're branding could further emphasized you. So for example, if your personality is bright and bubbly to The Branding scheme, that represents this, your colors can be happier your language more optimistic. If you're going for a more refined approach with your branding more high-end, your language reflects that the photos of you reflects that with ideas for Real Estate, that's my brand for Real Estate marketing. And you might have noticed that my color is Araceli. Yellow. Teal my social media photos are brighter. There are you sure they're happier? I write like I talk and of course is podcast episode it sounds like me. All of these elements.
Help for my brand, in represent, who I am as a person because if you know me, personally, I'm generally pretty happy positive and I'm confident, I have a lot of experience and it comes to real estate marketing. But my goal is to make high-quality marketing attainable for any agent regardless of skill level. So I want to make sure my Brandon comes off as approachable and you're simply copying what popular online you're not going to stand out as yourself and branding as a very comprehensive topic. And then, lastly, just simply be genuine with your marketing. You have to stay true to who you are with everything that you do. You're going to feel awkward or uncomfortable. If a marketing Avenues, you're choosing are in line with your personality or branding. Not every type of marketing is bright for every agent in his heart sales techniques, make your skin crawl and don't force yourself to do that. Instead, choose marketing techniques that you're proud of, and it's, you're excited to do. That's why I created ideas for Real Estate.
