No matter what mood I’m in these 3 always crack me up! Love their banter and love how they break down the absurdity of these films. Can’t seem to find another podcast that makes me laugh quite as hard as this one.

The pod that got me into podcasts
The title says it all, I've been listening for almost a decade, they make it look easy but their specific comedy and chemistry is what makes this such a special podcast. Worth it for anyone looking to get into any type of podcasts, so funny and perfect

Quality Slipping; Stop making political!
I used to be an avid listener. Even used to listen to older episodes on Stitcher premium. However, not as entertaining as it used to be. The quality is slipping. Also, June is just not funny. I know her feigned aloofness is meant to be endearing but it misses the mark for me. I also listen to this podcast to avoid politics. We have enough of that everywhere else. Please do not bring politics into this comedy show. I also don’t care in the least about June’s books or other activities. If it’s not about comedy and movies please move that content to a different podcast.

Got 3 mins in before I quit.
Was looking forward to this podcast cuz the concept seems great. But there is a difference between joking and downright insults. Started from the beginning cuz that’s what I like to do with new podcasts I find, and I picked the from Justin to Kelly episode. 3 mins in someone uses the word “retarded” as a insult and I was done. Yes that episode was as 2013 and maybe they’ve changed, but it was more than enough for me to leave.

My favorite podcast!!!!!
Beyond the best pod! I am always amazed by the amazingly bad movies this pod makes me watch. Most of them are so bad they are good and when they aren’t they podcast makes up for how bad the movie was. Love Paul, Jason, and June but especially June.

Worst podcast in the world and is the reason cancel culture is a liberal conspiracy.
This podcast is pointless. They literally watch terrible movies and then talk about how terrible those movies are. After countless episodes, they seem surprised by how such poor quality films with questionable artistic investment by the creators came into being. Newsflash HDTGM, when it comes to making money artistic integrity has to take a backseat to the artistic integrity of some obscure company exec who legit wants to bang a fish but got his script green lit a week after water gained ability for solid constructs of shapes. Was that a tangent I just went off on with an anti-climatic payoff? Yes. Just like all the episodes of this podcast that literally only exists to drive people away, away to Unspooled. A far superior program that no one should every listen to because who wants their brains to hurt with that fancy liberal culture talk with chuckle-mucks talking about the lameness of a boy magically waking up a man and being able to statutorily sexy-please a simple woman. As Paul Diane Mantzoukas-Rafael has often said on the podcast, these reviews are not even worth reading, but here are three.

Review and a request
Update to say I feel like the movie selection has gotten worse since my initial review. I haven’t been interested to listen in probably a couple months. PLEASE PICK SOME MOVIES THAT ANYONE HAS HEARD OF. I love you all and I want to keep listening. —— I do love this podcast. Even though it’s a lot of energy with everyone talking at once sometimes, they pull it off well. It’s often laugh out loud funny while listening. I am just not loving the movie selection lately. I’m hoping they get back to some slightly more well-known bad movies, especially kid movies or more light-hearted things always seem to be the funniest episodes.

Behind the paywall
Kinda wish they'd cover movies people have seen or heard of. Idk if they ran out of good titles or have just been leaning hard into obscurity. Most of the time I skip it cause I've never heard of whatever they're covering. I'm sure the episodes are fine, but if the premise is how something got made... and they're covering movies with no budget that ultimately failed... they're not really delivering on the premise. Go find things that by all rights should have succeeded and didn't. The best episodes are in the distant past and are locked behind a paywall. Trickling out the most middling of the lot as rereleases doesn't make up for the shows shortcomings

it used to be great
I’ve been listening to HDTGM since episode 6, and for the most part it’s been a great podcast, a few dud episodes here or there, but even those were usually still pretty good. After the paywall was introduced there were some hiccups but they found a work around and rolled old episodes out every other month of so. Then they started throwing additional mid roll ads in, I personally don’t care if my podcasts have ads but it is very jarring when they will be mid sentence and get interrupted by an ad. I know Covid put some wear on everyone, our hosts are no different, but they seem to care about the podcast a lot less, the ads, the matinee thing, editing down episodes for those matinees, and it seems like there may be some personal friction making it into the episodes. I have found myself coming back to this show less and less. People complain about politics in the show, I don’t mind them when it comes up organically, I love Paul, Jason, and June but I wish they were still having fun with the podcast.

Absolutely Love This Podcast
I love all three hosts of the podcast and the humor they use bring to the table. I frequently laugh out loud and enjoy their commentary even if I haven’t watched the film. Love when we learn tidbits of Paul’s childhood, how zany Jason is, and June’s delivery and reactions bring it all together. Highly recommend for comedy and movie fans!

If I could give this 0 stars…I wouldn’t!
I thought Jason was bi, biracial or Black, Indian, or all of the above. I guess that would be multi. Talk about racially ambiguous. Pretty dark for a Greek guy, but Greeks didn’t used to be real white people in America. Anyway, y’all make me chuckle a little now and then.

The perfect cast
This is my absolute favorite podcast. The show feels lost whenever any of the 3 hosts are missing. Their chemistry is *chef’s kiss* I also appreciate the gang voicing their political views and standing up for what’s right. Politics affect EVERY aspect of our lives, and although we all need an escape from time to time- we cannot sit silent. Wish I could make it to one of the tour dates. Hope you’ll visit Minnesota soon! LOVE you June, Paul and Jason♥️

Not interested in Politics
Subscriber for years, and I'm disappointed June sees this comedy show as a pulpit for her to preach her views. Just like how I don't go to work and try to insert my political thoughts, it shouldn't be done here. It's unprofessional and doesn't fit the purpose of the show. In fact, I'd go so far as to say it's intellectually insulting she assumes a comedy podcast is where people get their news, political information, and now women's health advice. I'm unsubscribing.

I have nothing but love and admiration for Paul and June, but this latest episode of Last Looks (F.K.A. mini episode) with Jason hosting was perfection. Favorite Comedy Podcast
This podcast is so much fun. I love when they review movies I've actually seen so I can commiserate with scenes along with them. The hosts are all so talented and each bring their own personality and viewpoints yet gel and play off each other really well. I find myself laughing at loud throughout many of the shows and really hope I can see a live show in the future. And since I just discovered the show a month ago and I'm binging through available eps - I also hope more past episodes are released on Apple podcasts.

Matinee Mondays makes a great podcast even greater
But I hope they upload more movies that haven't been recently (or currently) available on their apple episodes list, which includes some episodes from many years ago. "The Boyfriend School" just got a second Matinee Monday this year after having already been listed here in recent years under the year it was originally released. But it says a lot that I've really loved listening to the gang even when I kinda remember the episodes. Great podcast!

Great show, great politics, unbearable ads
Long time listener here. Love the show. Love June speaking her mind about important issues and welcome more of the same. Folks who are snowflaked by a strong minded woman speaking up about the issues she believes so strongly in can always just skip forward if it’s too triggering for their delicate conservative sensibilities. Shouldn’t these folks be too busy calling in death threats to centrist dems and avoiding getting nabbed by the FBI for storming the capital to listen to podcasts? Anyway, the elephant in the room: Paul’s ads. Dude, do you get paid by the word? A 4-5 minute ad break is demented, especially when it’s only two or three ads. Take a tip from drivetime radio and get ‘em down to a tight 30 seconds, bud. Very few podcasts manage to pull off entertaining ad breaks and this isn’t one of them. I’m begging you, listen to your audience on this one. Otherwise spectacular broadcasting T to B.

LEAVE POLITICAL VIEWS AT HOME
A whole episode on abortion has no place on a comedy movie review podcast. Your entitled to your views but I don’t think they belong here. This used to be funny and entertaining but has gone down hill as of late and seeing this episode was it for me, I Will be unsubscribing after this review.

June
Love this podcast but really dont find June funny at all. Wish it was just Paul and Jason. Also, the political episodes June does make me unsubscribe. This is a comedy podcast about reviewing movies, why do they have to include episodes about Junes far left political ideals on this show? I have my own opinions and do not care or need to hear about hers, which is why I don’t listen.

Not impressed with the Paywall
Extremely funny, the episodes available here on Apple Podcasts are great, but 90 percent of their other episodes are locked behind a paywall on their own podcast hosting service, and it’s not really worth it unless some of the other 30 or so podcasts it includes are interesting to you. Wish I could just pay for the podcast like a one time 20 or so charge and unlock it and not 30 others I won’t listen to.

Never Disappoints!
This is one of the first podcasts that I started listening to on my commute (back in 2011?) and it HAS REMAINED my favorite! Every person I have told about it thinks it’s hilarious and becomes a fan. The trio’s dynamic is perfect. Jason’s quick, raunchy but clever comments, June’s more “thoughtful” perspective and Paul as the perfect middle to glue the two sides together. It could’ve been luck that you three came together or it could have been well thought out. Which ever it was- it works. Never stop!

Two stars for Jason
Three people riffing on bad or crazy movies. A guy named Paul is the host, he does a decent job. Another guy named Jason is the funny one, he sounds like a maniac, he’s the reason to listen. There’s a woman named June who plays the ditzy broad. I think her clueless questions are supposed to be funny but they usually just bring the show to a grinding halt. This show is just okay could be better.

FaceOff is SO good
It’s not hard to make me laugh, but it’s very rare I laugh so hard that I have tears in my eyes and I have to catch my breath. I started listening to this show last year, in no real order. This show always has me giggling, but the Face Off episode had me crying laughing, one hand out on the wall trying to help catch my breath I was laughing so hard. I had to pause the episode to compose myself. Jason’s rant about the intro of the movie and John travoltas son had me bent over at the waist, wheezing laughing. I really hope I can see a live show eventually.

The greatest of the worst
Outstanding series. I came upon this podcast while on my first busy season in public audit. Working 70+ hour weeks reviewing financial paperwork can be a drag. Especially when it means missing the important moments with your family. I saw my son grow up in 1 hour moments every morning over the years, just those brief windows over breakfast before he went to school and I went to work. It can break a man’s soul to miss so much time with the people we live for. But when I have this podcast, I can go to the office, put my earbuds in and convince my hollow heart that June and Paul are my immediate family and Jason is my wacky cousin and much like how my wife and I would sit and banter over a bad movie when our love was new, I can listen to the banter of these wonderful people and take a slice of something I lost to time and career. 5 stars

Long time fan, first time reviewer
I think I have listened to every episode and I have a few that I love to revisit (Sleepaway camp is probably my favorite of all time). I can agree with a lot of the other reviewers in that the show has degraded over the years. You can notice in the earlier episodes it was about comedy and poking fun at these movies. But now there is a consistent trend of the show (mostly June) handing out unsolicited life and political advice. I am a responsible citizen who can make up my own mind on issues without actors and actresses trying to sway me and acting ugly if my perspective is not in lock step with theirs. I listen to this podcast for the comedy and to take a break from more serious subjects of life. I am a fan of all these hilarious folks on the podcast, Jessica St Clair, Nicole Byer, and all the other great guests that really make the show great. But it really needs to stop trying to address issues of the day and telling folks that don’t agree with June’s line of thinking that they are wrong. June may have a platform to say her piece but I am NEVER going to listen to an actor, actress, or show when it comes to how to vote or fulfill my responsibility as a citizen of this county, I don’t think any self respecting citizen should. When June focuses on comedy and offers her perspective on the movie they are watching it is very funny, but there is less of that and more of her condescending to folks who do not think like her. Focus on the comedy, save your political opinions for the voting booth or please make a podcast for it so that people who enjoy it can go there and get what they want, I prefer to watch silly movies and laugh, please keep this show apolitical. Jason is awesome and Tall John are great because they focus on comedy and when they do say anything they save it for the end of the show where they can plug their works. I can’t speak for the minisodes because I do not listen to them and the few I did I thought were superfluous.

Amazing!
This show is amazing! I love the hosts the guests, the content. A lot of these ridiculous movies are movies I know from my childhood whether from coming out when I was a kid (Ninja Turles 2 or Faceoff) or because my dad loved them (Bloodsport or Timecop) so it really hits home in the best way. Some movies I remember loving as a kid and though “they can’t do that one” and I rewatch and listen and yes, the movie ends up being ridiculous. Great show listen to it you won’t regret it! Thank you June, Paul, and Jason!

Listen to the old episodes on YouTube.
I’ve listened to this show for years and years. It was one of my favorites. I’ve seen the live show twice. Now it’s just boring. Bring back guests. Stop giving the same self help pep talk every other week on the unlistenable minisode. Pick movies that fit the title of the podcast. I feel bad for anyone who paid money to watch them dissect Snomance. Just boring.

June is exhausting
I used to really enjoy this podcast, but I can't even listen to the new episodes. It should be renamed June hates being rich, or it's so hard being rich. Jason is a delight, but sadly this is not just a Jason podcast. If I have to hear about how hard it is to get a mani pedi on the first floor of your house, and how it truly must be bedside, I will vomit. She also seems to openly hate making the podcast. Maybe find someone who doesn't hate the process so much. Or just stop complaining so much about having literally the easiest job in the world.

I started listening to this podcast because my husband thought it was great, but I love it so much now and listen to it on my own!! Paul, June & Jason (as well as their guests) are so funny, I really like the balance between their sense of humour and perspectives. I love the interplay between Paul, Jason, and June. I’ve listened to all the episodes over the past few years - a treasure-trove of fun, wig reports, t-short slogans, and so-bad-it’s-good movies. I want to read Paul’s memoir. I listen to any band Jason recommends. I saw them live in NYC in 2019 and watched their virtual shows in 2020. They are getting me through quarantine. Thanks so much!

I hate to keep this up
I wrote a review recently about how June turn everything into a feminist protest. But I just have to restate how much of a grind it is to listen to her whine and complain and cry about everything. She is a literal Buzz Killington. She makes the show unenjoyable. And I find myself just fast forwarding to the end because I can’t take her victim mentality and her “anti everything except me” stand on movies. This is supposed to be a comedy podcast. Not a protest show.

It’s an adventure every episode, buckle up kiddos
First of all: Team Fred big time. I first watched drop dead Fred at age 7 (thanks mom?) and couldn’t agree more with June and Jason so there’s that. Secondly: I love questionable cinema, and this is the singular best lens to view weird films through. Period. No further questions at this time. Be warned: the reactions these conversations will illicit increase your risk of being seen as a completely untrustworthy driver - I’ve been clapping, screaming, and gesturing madly in traffic and I’m pretty sure at least one person got out of my way because of it. So maybe it’s good for that too. I don’t know, but you should listen.

Love this podcast, but…
I love all three of these folks, but when they talk horror movies, as a horror fan, I have to say they absolutely get nothing. I think because they come from the improv world, at least two of them (not sure about June), they cannot see the horror genre for its strengths (yes, even the the “goofy” ones). Sometimes the goofiness and bad plot is definitely a part of the depth and metaphor (this is a whole conversation I won’t go into here). I think because they are not horror fans (as Paul and Jason said, they weren’t “horror kids”), they fail to see the self-awareness of most horror movies and what it usually is or means. They come from doing over-the-top improv type characters (well, I might add), but many horror movies don’t have to be written by Ari Aster to make a statement or have depth (just to be honest, I love his movies, too). Please get a actual horror genre fan to come in and talk horror movies with you. Also, the Malignant episode seemed like they were getting paid to talk about and advertise for the movie. Sometimes if feels like that and makes the podcast feel a bit gross. Anyway, love it, but when they go off on horror, watch out, it gets dumb and annoying.

Decent but Ad-Focused
Decent podcast that has a good amount of back catalog. They do some decent research for the films which can lead to interesting conversations. Jason is great. There are a few things I don’t care for: 1. Paul loves ads. He seems more excited about his ad reads than he does about the episode. As a professional actor he is more keen to do this sort of work. He just seems so happy to get to the ads. Makes me feel like “yeah yeah yeah the show, but have you checked out this ad revenue”. Just a little strange to hear someone so excited about ad revenue. 2. June has ads (a bit of a theme) for a self-help system that she has her name on in some way. The system is for people to have a more healthy mindset. June does not seem like the ideal candidate for healthy mindset as she is pretty dismissive of things she decides are “dumb”. These things are usually just things she is unfamiliar with, but casts as dumb. I would not consider her temperament suitable to a life coach style product, but every week we hear about it. All in all it’s a very ok podcast that really shines from time to time when you are not distracted by what Paul and June are attempting to sell their listeners. The flophouse podcast is a similar sort of format and is significantly more pleasant and considerate to their listeners.

Wow they must be making a boatload of cash when 25% of the show is ads. Actually it’s only in the miniadisode where it’s 25%. Maybe scale it back on the mini. Also the ads are so long each that I will frequently just skip the rest of the podcast. Sad.

I’ve been listening since 2016, and haven’t missed a single ep. Just so much fun. Jason is my fave, but it takes all three to make the magic happen. A great podcast with some glaring issues
Generally speaking, it’s an enjoyable show. Jason is my favorite of the three and I enjoy his quirky takes on things. I also really enjoyed the clone-girl-summer theme they recently did with a series of episodes. They have a vast catalogue of episodes and I personally like when they review big budget flops or successful but strange movies. There are some drawbacks that are consistent across the majority of episodes in the last couple of years: June doesn’t want to be there. The background noise in one episode wasn’t a kid like I thought and could respect, it was June getting an in-home manicure. That would have been a great chance to just bow out and let some listeners connect to ask their questions like a home edition of their live episodes. I hope that changes soon, as she challenges my perceptions - loved how she called out fatherhood=death in the FF franchise. It’s not worth giving them a 1 star, but they do talk about COVID stuff in every episode. I wouldn’t care if it was consistently positive/educational/encouraging, but it’s mostly complain/brags about having to work from home. Yes, I know they had that 1 episode. Paul sounds like a soft, long haul, late night radio DJ on the mini-episodes and he takes life questions from listeners…so I generally skip those episodes as it’s not what I am coming for. Jason - no notes.

Tired of June’s hatred for men
June does everything she can to make this podcast not funny. Thankfully Jason’s way too funny and transcends that stick in the mud. June kills the funny at every single opportunity with her. Super. Slow. Speaking. When. She. Thinks. She. Has. A. Point. She also makes it abundantly clear that she thinks men are inherently evil, and women can do no wrong. I’m really tired of her unfunny, misandrist point of view.

Exceptionally funny, endlessly creative and entertaining, and fresh and new with each ep. I would trim the segments with Paul’s advice on the mini’s - but thats just me. It’s shocking that so many of these movies DID get made, but with Hollywood’s volatile mixture of money, fame, self promotion and desire to “make it” I’m sure we will see many more movies for these folks to cover. Mediocre at Best
After a few episodes I can’t stick with this podcast. It follows a template that has become ubiquitous and, I imagine in the future, will retrospectively be heard as very “of the time”. Basically you take three or four comedians, put mics (and too much coffee) in front of them and press record as they talk excitedly over each other. The humor is rarely on target and the insights never go deeper than a Wikipedia article. I’m all caught up on the hilarious and informative “Important Cinema Club” so I came here to fill the gaps in between new releases. Also, the ads (“you never get a chance to make a first impression”?!?!) are just f__king horrible.

Jumped the Shark
I’m sure a lot of people listened to this podcast as an escape from politics and division for a laugh. But, you Can’t even find that here anymore. It’s just not as fun anymore... and really sad that they feel like they need to inject politics into everything. We get it, you need to value signal, but it doesn’t need to be done ALL the time. Not everyone needs to be a political commentator, and injecting politics into all social aspects of our society will just divide us more. Laughing at bad movies is something that people from all political spectrums should come together on. Really disappointing.

Tapping out
It has gotten SO watered down and blowhardy. This has become such a shell of itself. Stop bringing politics into a movie podcast. Loved you guys in the beginning, hate where this has ended up. No one needs 45 minute mini episodes either, 15 minutes were great. I’ll give you credit from getting rid of the “movie b——es.” They were absolute garbage and should stick to Monday at 10am at the PIT. Oops, the PIT is no more...

This Pod is My Comfort Food
After 10 years of listening to this pod, Paul, June and Jason are my aural chicken noodle soup. This show is so good, I want a HDTGM episode for literally every movie I watch. Honestly, I don’t even really watch movies anymore because so many of them are big budget garbage, so I just paid for a premium version of a rival app Apple might hate me mentioning just so I can listen to old episodes. This podcast is my Cheers, my Mystery Science Theater, and- I dunno- maybe my Bible, all rolled into one. I wish I could thank them to their faces for their service, but this will have to do instead. Thank you June, Paul and Jason. You make me laugh.

Used to be my favorite
This used to be an easy, breezy comedy podcast whose only desire was to make you laugh out loud, and it succeeded. But now everything is drenched in politics and I can’t stand it, even from something as dumb as Breakin’ 2. I’m bombarded by politics all day long, and this podcast is no longer somewhere I can go to shut my brain down and laugh. A special ep to promote June’s expensive, exclusive, members only club? Cut me a break. Another special ep about Scientology? Guys, “Going Clear” is 8 years old. You are breaking no news. I unsubscribed but hope one day I’ll be compelled to tune back in again.

This isn’t really a podcast, it is an hour to 2 hour commercial. There are so many commercials that it is almost unlistenable. Also, they talk over each other constantly, that’s fun listening. Lastly, only one of them is funny, waste your time and find out.

Still my favorite podcast
This is the podcast that got me interested in podcasts as a medium. Even after discovering many other amazing podcasts this is the only one that I never skip an episode. The comedy chemistry between John, June, and Jason is unmatched. They play off each other so well while also being able to incorporate guests pretty seamlessly. When I need a boost or go for a jog, I always seek out the live shows. The in studio shows have a much more laid-back energy but still hilarious. You don't have to watch the movies and most of the time, I don't. But watching the movie definitely enhances the experience.

All you have to do is watch a movie in your free time then talk about it with your spouse and/or close friend/s. I feel like this should be weekly. I enjoy it and I’d like to hear more episodes.

My favorite podcast
I’m a podcast junkie and listen to several podcasts daily. Having said that, this is the podcast I look forward to more than any other. I find myself staying up late every other Thursday, repeatedly refreshing my feed until the new episode shows up. I love how Paul, Jason, and June seem to genuinely enjoy each other and make each other laugh. The best episodes are the ones where they seem to be having the most fun. I’ve never written a review for a podcast (or anything else) but I felt compelled to write this after listening to the “Jade” episode. They had a blast discussing this movie and couldn't stop cracking each other up (June apologizing to gingers before “second opinions” was classic and I can't wait to see Paul's stick-figure diagram to demonstrate how the “sex pillow” works). I'm an HS math teacher and, despite how much I love what I do, teaching during the pandemic has been very stressful. Thank you guys sincerely for giving me something to look forward to during these extremely difficult times. Five Stars.

I've listened since the beginning and am finding myself less and less interested in HGTGM. I used to re-listen to episodes multiple times but now sometimes barely make it through my first listen. It was more interesting when the movies weren't just obscure trash. It's not that fun to listen to them struggle to talk about boring movies that have no redeeming qualities at all. This is my favorite podcast. The three hosts are great together. Aside from their takes on these ridiculous movies, you can feel the passion they have for film and you’ll always learn fun tidbits and hear personal anecdotes that add color to episodes. I love Paul’s stories of working at Blockbuster and growing up on Long Island (I’m from Queens and went to Adventure Land all the time as a kid!). I love how sometimes Jason and June get carried away and Paul has to jump in to get everything back on track. On the other hand, I would totally listen to a podcast of these three just talking about random stuff. They could make a description of drying paint entertaining. It’s just an absolute delight to listen to this podcast.

Love the pod, listened to everything on Spotify & planning on getting sticher when I can afford it. Why is June so negative about podcasting? Quality Slipping; Stop making political!
I used to be an avid listener. Even used to listen to older episodes on Stitcher premium. However, not as entertaining as it used to be. The quality is slipping. Also, June is just not funny. I know her feigned aloofness is meant to be endearing but it misses the mark for me. I also listen to this podcast to avoid politics. We have enough of that everywhere else. Please do not bring politics into this comedy show. I also don’t care in the least about June’s books or other activities. If it’s not about comedy and movies please move that content to a different podcast.

Everyone's a Comedian (not sarcastic)
UPDATED: I am totally delighted (a rare delight in 2020) because I am listening to their Lifetime review of A Very Nutty Christmas — my favorite Christmas movie for laughs. Bottom line — If I was a general, I’d call this cookie shop for 1,000 cookies. It's funny and they do such a good job it's not even necessary to watch the movies to appreciate their commentary. And they smartly include commentary that elevates discussions about misogyny, racism and general bad treatment of marginalized groups — all while being hilarious. See episodes about Striptease or that Neil Diamond movie The Jazz Singer. I hope that they do "Day of the Animals" — it was meant for this show!

Quality starting to slip?
Just jumped back into what was once one of my favorite podcasts, maybe it’s always been this way but there seems to be an issue in quality, possibly just because it’s been going to long! Jason completely dominates every conversation just as he does on any other podcast he’s on. I used to really like him, but it feels like he just plays the character of “loud man” now and it overpowers a lot of other aspects of the show. Similarly, after all these years, I really wish the hosts would spend just a little more time talking about the specifics behind the movie production. Or more accurately, I wish that the cohosts would let Paul talk more often, because he consistently brings generative topics and research to discuss when he does talk, but it’s such a struggle just to get June and Jason to calm down from a 5 minute bit on the movie that devolves into Jason yelling and making “horny joke”.

Sarcastic Cliff Notes for bad movies
I’ve listened to this show for years, and can honestly say I’ve only ever watched 3 or 4 of the movies they’ve reviewed. It’s still insanely funny and it gives me references and little nuggets of the best parts of those movies so I don’t have to sit through the whole thing. I have, however, YouTubed clips from a lot of the movies to fully get the jokes when they come up, but like I said it saves me from having to watch the entire movie if it’s ultimately trash (Jason’s words, not mine). Love this show and highly recommend listening to an episode even if you’ve never seen the movie they’re talking about! Also the mini-episodes are a refreshing little aside/mental health check-in between the main episodes. Also... #teamfred

I have never written a podcast review, but this is one of my all-time favorite podcasts. I have to give them some love! How Did This Get Made? brings me so much joy and always makes me laugh out loud. I’ve gone back and re-listened to certain episodes four or five times because they are that good and can lighten my mood when reality is looking a little grim. Friends in my Ears
I enjoy the work these three do on their own, so it was nice to discover how much fun they generate when they’re working together. The episodes almost always make me laugh out loud at least once, which makes me look a little sketchy because I usually listen while I walk my dog, but any odd looks are worth it—plus, walking along while laughing to yourself discourages people from approaching, so a nice win for physical distancing.

Consistent Gold
A friend put me onto this podcast over 2 years ago and I’ve been hooked ever since. The movies they review are insane and their analysis and colorful commentary is hilarious. A group of us got the chance to catch a live episode last summer which was a great experience. One thing you’ll probably notice if you start listening is there’s a cultish following around it - people reference inside jokes from past episodes, send in original music for different parts of the show, and artwork for t-shirts based on episodes. I’ve also gotten into the mini-episodes which come out every other week and discuss the previous episode as well as try to answer fans’ life problems. A true gem. Consider starting with Sleepaway Camp, Chopping Mall, or maybe Con Air.

Whether you like the movie being discussed or not, those three will get you laughing. Especially when they throw in some life stories. Give it a try if you have yet to listen.

I laughed, I cried - it was better than Cats.
Just listened to the Under the Cherry Moon installment. As a lifelong die-hard Prince fan I had to, although I did prep myself for some (probably justified) bashing. I was happily surprised to find your take respectful, insightful, and utterly genuine, whether you were marveling at the wonder that is Prince, or giggling at the ridiculousness of the film. Thanks for treating my boy right! Enjoyed and will listen again.

Listen if you love to laugh
This is one of the first podcasts I have ever listened to and the only one I’ve seen live. If you love movies, or even if you love to hate movies, this podcast will be perfect for you.

No Words!
Just to be clear, there are plenty of words during an episode of HDTGM; what I meant was there are no words to describe the consistent brilliance of this show.

Amazing! Hilarious!!
I have been listening to the show for almost a year now, and I can honestly say that it has been tremendously helpful throughout 2020 because it has given pure, unadulterated joy and made me laugh until I was out of breath. Paul, June, and Jason bring the jokes, hilarious insights, and wonderfully hysterical tangents that take my mind off the crazy that has been this year. From Body of Evidence and Grease 2 to Gymkata and Bloodsport to Sleep-away Camp and Chopping Mall, these amazing and horrible movies have been dissected and analyzed in the most thrilling of manners. Thank you for keeping me sane, entertained, and laughing in this pandemic.

Always a treat!
I love how June, Jason, and Paul interact with each other and their fans. I rarely have seen the movies they review but that doesn’t take away from my enjoyment of listening to them discuss a movie. Always funny, and always a podcast I look forward to, but they also are just clearly good, compassionate people that care about the community they’ve built.

A Lifesaver AND a LAUGHsaver! Get It?
If you like the joke in my title even a tiny bit, you'll love How Did This Get Made. If you hated my dumb little wordplay, then I apologize, but please don't take it out on Paul, June, and Jason, because I bet you'll still love HDTGM. I had heard of the podcast a while back, but only really started listening in earnest towards the beginning of the quarantine in March, and I'm so glad I did. It has truly been my saving grace. I can just switch off the outside world for a bit and listen to these goofuses (that's right, I said it) talk about a terrible movie and both make fun of and revere it for typically around an hour. We don't always learn how the movies get made, but it's sure fun to listen to. I struggle a lot with depression and anxiety (especially lately... don't know why), and this helps me to chill out and laugh a bit, which can make a big difference when I'm terrified and at my wit's end with everything going on right now. I look forward to their new shows every week, and I actually subscribed to the premium service on another platform so that I could listen to their back catalog on the days in between episodes, and it's amazing. It's great because you don't necessarily need to have seen the movie to enjoy the discussions. I highly recommend it - particularly the live shows. Plus, you can't go wrong with a little helping of Mr. Jason Mantzoukas, am I right ladies?! High five!! Paul and June are okay too, I guess. They're married. Whatever. Okay, truthfully? They're great. But you didn't hear that from me. High five!! The guests they have on are pretty top shelf too, especially if you're a comedy geek/film nerd like me. I mean, one of my favorite stand-ups, John Mulaney, is on the episode about Solarbabies, a film (movie?) I'd never even heard of before listening to this podcast!! High five!! Anyway, that was longer than I meant it to be, so TLDR: give the show a chance, and I think you'll experience joy and laughter, things we need a lot more of right now. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! Five Stars.

Smart funny friends talking movies and cracking jokes
I listen to both the full and mini episodes because I’m apparently now addicted to hearing Paul, Jason and June talk and laugh about pop culture together. Love it, never need to watch the actual torturous movies they discuss. They do it for you, and you just relax and laugh.

My favorite podcast for years
I’ve been listening to HDTGM? since it started nearly a decade ago. It quickly became my favorite and has stayed at the very top of my list. The 3 hosts bring different lovable personalities and quirks to the show and the guests give each episode their own unique flavor. It’s clear that Paul, Jason, and June really enjoy hanging out together and their chemistry is infectious. I honestly look forward to every Friday for a new episode or mini-episode. If you like bad movies or funny conversation between funny people, this is a no-brainer.

The best comedy Podcast
June, Paul and Jason along with their guests (who are awesome) have hooked me on Podcasts. Every week when the new episodes come down it’s like having 3 friends crash your movie night. Their comedy takes on bad movies has turned me on to so many new comedians. Please give them a shot at making you laugh and brightening a bit of your day.

I was a couple years late to this podcast. Now, it’s an essential part of my week. Jason, June, and Paul are a great ensemble team and the guests always bring something to the table. Adam Scott especially comes to play. When the world stops sucking, I really hope to attend a live show sometime.

No Second Opinion Needed: 5 Stars
I never used to listen to podcasts, could not physically listen to a single episode without becoming distracted or bored. How I wish I had fallen in love with Jason Mantzoukas sooner, because now I’m arriving a decade late to the finest party for my first, greatest, and most enduring love: terrible movies. My saving grace in 2020 is tuning into the latest episode to hear what Paul, Jason, and June have to say about another disaster of a film.

Thank you thank you thank you for doing Under the Cherry Moon. I have loved prince for nearly 25 years now, and too much is never enough for me. I am also a religious listener of HDTGM, and I have been waiting to hear you do an episode on this movie for legit YEARS. You all nailed it. I look forward to an episode where You talk about it for at LEAST 6 more hours. Please please some day I hope you do Graffiti Bridge. I’m patient.

My favorite podcast, been listening for years. Even if I don’t watch the movie beforehand, the conversations are hilarious and I’m entertained no matter what. I loved Jason and Paul in The League and June has been in too many amazing series to count. Such talented folks behind this podcasts - hosts, audio engineers, everyone. The guests are consistently great too. Even the mini episodes, which only feature Paul, are great! The theme songs and audience participation are fantastic and they really get fans involved every step of the way. You won’t be disappointed.

This is the best podcast. Jason, Paul and June are fun to listen to no matter what they talk about. It’s the podcast that finally convinced me to listen to podcasts! Give it a shot. I started with ones I’d seen the movie of but loved it so much I just listened to them all. Sometimes it’s even more fun to listen when you haven’t seen it because it’s sounds even more bananas. My Favorite Podcast
I look forward to each episode, even if I’ve not seen the disaster of a movie that Paul, Jason and June have tormented themselves with that particular week. Their insights and conversations about films and the choices that people make to get them into the world always make me laugh and help make the day brighter. They’ve even talked me into watching some terrible movies and I will never forgive them for Zardoz. The minisodes are a grab bag of interesting tidbits including new comics, tv shows and other media to check out. Paul, I’m afraid of you being left to your own devices. My husband and I will make time to listen to this show together because we feel like Paul, June and Jason are a part of our family.

Thanks to the whole crew who make this show happen.
