Good with caveats
Listened since the Fantasy Underground. Chris got bitter after that ended, and still hasn’t gotten over it. This has led to what other reviewers describe, a lot of holier than thou rants against the fantasy establishment (some of it earned, though he can get pedantic). BUT you have to give it to him, he has a great eye. No other fantasy analyst is better on pure film analysis. He cuts through a lot of crap by just watching what every player does, and he really knows the game in and out. THIS is what makes this show special (and also the Youtube film breakdowns, please bring those back!) If you cut everything else and made Josh a full time cohost this podcast would be amazing.

Good info
Pros: - Knowledgeable about football - You can tell he does the work watching games. - Great guests Cons: -Im smarter than you attitude gets a little old. - Refuses to accept that 90% of people play half or full ppr - The way he comes in late in the off-season and doesn’t look at ADP means almost zero help for the millions of people doing bestball drafts. Overall a show I listen to occasionally for the good film watching info but a pretty niche focus.

Example of non-response bias
Continues to be a self righteous host. At least 30% of the podcast is slog reads for advertisements and the host talking about how much better his opinion is than mostly everyone else, while cherry picking reasons that he chastised others for. His guests occasionally even call him out. Andy Bergen’s said on the week 2 fantasy ranks podcast at 45:45 “I love the way that you victory lapped too by the way, it’s like, you just, you have to drag everyone else down. . . I got a thing right, let’s have a parade.” Dude just deliver the content and relent your self appointed pedestal. This show could, and used to, be god tier but he just can’t help himself.

Beyond the Box Score
Harris’ insight in very valuable, because he bases his ranks on film watching, rather than statistical models. Statistics have a place in my process, but there are tons of shows that focus on that. Harris’ show covers the other side of the coin, so I have both the film and statistical evaluations to base my moves on. Since I started listening to Harris in 2019, I have won 5 of 6 leagues since then, and for 3rd place in the league I didn’t win. I feel like without Harris’ insight, I would not have been this successful. Update 9/14/22 - I’ve won two additional leagues and have a diamond rating in yahoo. Harris is a big reason why.

Smart, coherent analysis
Chris Harris’s podcasts are smart and witty. He proves that coherent analysis need not be dry to be informative. Glad I found him.

I didn’t used to win, I do now.
I struggled in the early 2010s to make the playoffs of my fantasy league(s), but I have been a listener since the very first episode and I have made the playoffs every year and have five titles in 6-7 years between my two leagues and I feel downright dominant at times at most of it is because of the Harris Football Podcast. This show is so stupid…like a FOX!

Still great info, but I miss the old days of Harris Football
Several years ago, Chris was probably the best kept secret in fantasy football. He would predict breakouts better than almost anyone based on his film analysis, and I eagerly consumed all of his content. But as time has gone on, everything has become more diluted. Whereas Chris used to record the video breakdowns, he’s now hired staff to do those. And the Podcasts seem increasingly like they are focused on guest antics and ongoing bits than providing useful FF insight. He used to do the Podcast, videos & Almanac (which was great). But now he doesn’t do the videos, is not doing an Almanac this year, so I guess now it’s just podcasts. And like I said, podcast still has useful content, but I find myself fast-forwarding through the first 10-15 minutes of fluff and some of the less-insightful guest content to get to the meat, which is Harris himself talking. I don’t know why he has so many guests on; we can go hear them on their own podcasts. But I want to hear Chris, since he’s the brains.

The best fantasy football pod
Best all around fantasy pod. Gives you the unique take of someone that watches every game. His calls on what he sees on film can help you detect breakout players. Other thing to love is that he has a new guest every day. You get the constant of Harris with the variety of many of others in the industry which gives you a wide range of information and not all repeated takes. One issue is that it seems that he will be repeating the same formula this July as last July. One of the biggest staples of his podcast is to not listen to the noise and all the beat reports this time of year. That stance is what makes Harris great. Yet we will spend the entire month discussing what to look for in camp reports!!! I thought we weren’t supposed to listen to these reports? He and his guest go division by division and team by team basically telling you the exact same two things: “nothing we hear from camp should change our feelings on this player” or “only negative reports could change our feeing on this player”. Rinse, repeat over and over again for a month. As a listener since the podcasts inception, it feels like the real Harris podcast doesn’t start until after these July divisional podcasts. I love the podcast and will continue to click on support, but these episodes are tough to get through. I would be on the edge of my seat to hear Harris go division by division and just naming one player from each team who’s tape stood out to them for better or worse. That’s the Harris brand, not camp report breakdowns!

Football or Politics?
I’ve listened for 3 seasons, and it’s gotten progressively worse. It went from the little podcast that could with helpful info to just Harris’ opinion on all things with the best part of the show being the guests. Football info is fine, Harris weaves his political opinions into every episode. In general his talking down, “I know better” attitude towards everything is exhausting to listen to. The amount of times he says “wear a mask, get vaxxed” you would think the show was brought to you by Pfizer. Fantasy football is a fun escape from the world, I won’t be tuning in anymore.

My favorite podcast.
In my opinion this is the best fantasy football podcast going. I’ve listened to every single episode since Chris went independent. I think he’d be the first to tell you his podcast can be an acquired taste because it’s not similar to most of what you’re probably used to. His show is a perfect blend of humor, fantasy advice and actual film review that takes you well beyond the box score. I recommend it to anyone looking to establish a go to fantasy football podcast. You’ll also be introduced to cousin Josh… he’s the best. Long live the Narrow Man.

This sounds dumb
It sounds dumb to say that what he does is special: He watches the games and comments on how the players play based on what he sees. That is what makes him special. You’d think a lot of football commentators would be doing that. But they don’t. Only him as far as I know.

Outstanding film-based fantasy analysis
I’ve been relying on Harris’ fantasy advice for years, and this podcast is still my go-to. It doesn’t take itself (or anything?) seriously and provides excellent analysis. Harris is a calm, lighthearted, and insightful voice in an increasingly noisy fantasy industry, and his film work is second to none.

Self-righteous rooster
He used to be tolerable. Now he tries to insert his self-righteous political views and demonstrably false medical claims when possible, all while claiming the moral high ground. He goes so far as to assert that those with differing opinions have “brain disease”. He says this, out loud, to his own audience! He rightfully suggests that his show (and Fantasy in general) should be a leisurely escape from the day-to-day grind of reality. But his profound arrogance is increasingly polarizing in a world desperate for unity.

Passes time while repelling possum infestations
This is a review I type by aiming the spasmodic flutterings of my phalanges toward plastic chits marked with Phoenician symbols. Chris is a braggy NFL filmwatcher who makes observations about players and their usefulness in the fake albeit popular game of fantasy football. I for one hope Mr Harris will keep matriculating the stupid down the fiber optic gridiron…such a weird show. P.S. Please Mr Harris: remember me kindly during the early phases of the Possum Apocalypse when we are all forced to live on yachts and communicate by yelling into metal sticks.

4+ year listener. 5 stars, though cringy and has its limitations
Although he’s a little full of himself and has cringy and annoying arguments with guests once every week or 2, you will get the best summaries of all games (he watches every single one) to tell you what’s going on beyond the box score He’s not always right with his takes and tends to embrace risky moves often (and maybe isn’t the best at embracing outlier-type players who don’t fit the typical mold), but he notices some things watching that might help you get an edge (and sometimes points out glaring problems with the market which I really find valuable). Judge for yourself and don’t take his word as gospel. Overall, I enjoy the show. 4+ year listener here. I mostly skip through the DraftKings portion of the Thursday show

Great show, great community
Harris genuinely enjoys what he does, and unquestionably has his own way of going about it. Always self-aware and conscious of the bigger picture, he delivers an hour of high quality, film-based fantasy advice that feels more like a conversation with a soothing guru amidst a community of like-minded, kind-hearted goofballs than your regular run of the mill fantasy podcast. Simply the best!
When I started playing fantasy football, I listened to all the statisticians at ESPN and eventually stumbled upon a podcast called “Fantasy Underground,” which is the predecessor of this podcast. I quickly realized that Christopher Harris’ advice was by far the best because he actually watches game film and analyzes potential based on the visible talent of each player. I’ve won several championships following both his pre-season and in-season advice. Look no further. This is the fantasy football podcast you need to win at a high level! Update: Chris, you still have the best podcast out there, but come on man. The vaccine lectures need to stop. There are good medical reasons not to get the vaccine. It is not a one-size-fits-all solution. People have had significantly adverse reactions to it (well beyond flu symptoms). Stop insulting those that choose not to get it with childish insults and gross arrogance. Your comments about the vaccine are about as tone-deaf as those who say Covid doesn’t exist at all. Just stop. You are not a medical doctor and shouldn’t speak as one who has such authority. Thank you.

The best tape analysis there is
Chris isn’t the funniest, most charismatic, or most entertaining. But he will watch the film and tell you what he sees. This is simple, but his analysis is second to none. Good show, fantastic knowledge!
I found him by way of a guest spot on another podcast and I really liked his perspective and takes with things. They were different, had reasons, and wasn't the normal look at the situation. The production of the show could be helped with removing the AI voice over which isn't needed and detracts from the show. He could either use a cohost or go truely solo without it and it would be still great. In fact, I like the solo with AI voice for the first part and then an interview with guest spot for the 2nd part quite a bit. It allows him to have time to give his take and then more to bounce off and get other thoughts. Edit: Two years later, still an amazing show with great thoughts and views that can’t be found elsewhere. Fantastic guests as well.

Chris puts out an amazing product. He’s uses a combination of film analysis and historical trends to project player production going forward. Great FFB show. Every different!
This guy watches all the games and goes beyond the score. His feedback will give you an advantage. He tells people to get the vaccine and wear a mask. This is unpleasant but you can get past it. I am vaccinated and wear a mask … and yes his voice sounds like nails on a chock board when he takes the moral high ground. I still listen to his show everyday. It helps. I would take my doctors advice on these issues before I take the advice of a FFB podcaster:). I guess he doesn’t know that most people use football as a getaway from politics. No one is downloading his show for medical advice. I do like it when he whimpers over bad reviews. What a bedwetter.

Making Fantasy Wins a Reality
What Harris brings to the world of fantasy football is more than just accurate analysis and player evaluation. He has created a culture for music loving and cerebral listeners who’s interaction with the show makes for a truly special podcast. Listening to Harris is to cut through NFL propaganda and use actual critical thinking to give your fantasy team the edge you need to win your league. You will never look at fantasy the same. Update! - Show is still awesome. Low ratings are from neanderthals who can’t handle the facts of this world. Just like his football analysis, he views the world based on facts and not feelings. From recent reviews it looks like some people’s feelings have gotten hurt. Oh well

Long time listener
As the title says, long time listener here. I originally found Chris when he was working with Field on the Underground at ESPN and immediately fell in love. Listened to the pod every day without fail. After the departure from ESPN I naturally followed him to his next venture and ended up liking the Harris Football Podcast even more than his show at ESPN. I felt the restraints truly being off on his own show shined through to the final product. This continued for 3-4ish years until late 2019 and the 2020 season. Over time it stopped being a daily listen and instead I’d look out for particular guests. Craig, Sharone, Josh, and Jim McCormick were always my favorite episodes which left me with plenty of content even if I didn’t listen everyday anymore. I don’t play DFS anymore and only ever wagered $20 total each season in my account so I don’t blame anyone but that fact for my lack of interest in Thursday episodes. What really surprised me in late 2019 was my indifference towards episodes with Jim and Josh which were always knockouts in my book. I had gotten to the point that I couldn’t listen to any of the other guests with not every Jim/Josh show being a favorite quite like it used to. It’s the strangest feeling but some intangible, the soul of the show, feels different to me. I know this because it’s the same guests as it was 3 years ago and I didn’t mind them then. I went back and listened to episodes from the first few seasons and it was like I remembered. Witty, informative, and stupid as Chris would say. Fast forward to today I cannot I repeat cannot listen to anything other than the award shows. During the 2020 season I really began to stop listening entirely. Leading into this year I was happy to write that off knowing that I probably wasn’t in the best mood to be enjoying it last year and have been doing much better in life recently. To my dismay, the same indifference carried forward to the 2021 shows. Like I mentioned above, there’s some intangible that simply seems gone from the early days. I’ve never experienced this in any medium where I’ve been a die hard fan dedicating 5ish hours a week only to lose all interest and stop consuming the show. I check in about once a month now to see if something clicks and I can magically enjoy listening again but no luck yet. I even asked a few old college buddies I’d introduced to the show when it first started and they all had stopped listening at some point after we’d graduated. Sorry Chris, it may seem like a low rating but I don’t know what to do for something once part of my daily routine that I now don’t even enjoy listening to. I long for the day that I check in on the show and feel that magic again. Until then, old friend.

Too much of injecting his vaccine politics into the show
He always has to chime on his vaccine thoughts whenever someone gets Covid. “He has the vaccine so he will be okay.” Yea cuz a lot of unvaxxed elite football player athletes are at risk *eyeroll* He has said multiple times that people that don’t want to get the shot “think there’s a microchip in it.” No, maybe we have assessed the risk/reward and can make decisions ourselves? But thanks for the lecture that you think you are better than everyone else.

Come for the analysis, stay for the stupidity
This is a great show to be a fan of; I’ve been listening regularly for 4 years or so, and I still look forward to throwing it on. Harris provides an exhaustive, level-headed analysis of individual players, focusing on how they actually look on the field—dude watches *every* game, *every* week, and tells you about each one, which isn’t something you can find everywhere. He mixes that with a truly stupid but deeply endearing mix of inside jokes and musical parodies. This is definitely a show where it pays off to be a regular listener. Complete with a murderers’ row of smart, funny guests for every show, this is a terrific resource for fantasy analysis and general entertainment.

Chris reads these then complains about them on the show. Then says he doesn’t read the comments. Then deletes comments off his IG. Dude is so soft of criticism. “Stop sending me emails with links” said again and again on air.

Over it
Has good football advice. Listened for years. I go to football to get away from the world. I’ll continue to listen to the Pods that don’t want to shove a mask or shot down my throat. To tell your listeners “Why would they tell you that?” You should ask yourself that about everything you so easily trust and want to push on others. Stick to football. You’re not a doctor.

To share or not to share
Every season I’m torn between sharing my love for Chris and his little podcast that could with my league mates and not. The information is top notch because the film is so crucial to his analysis and they would love it- but then I lose my edge and risk losing my position of always being in championship contention. The conundrum is real. Keep wearing your mask!

Great Advice but Super Arrogant
Long time listener here. Harris provides some of the best analysis on fantasy football. His film-watching approach seems fairly bulletproof and clearly has a good eye for this stuff. But my god. He can sound so arrogant. Unlike most, I actually love that he promotes masks/vaccines. I’m talking more about the insufferable promotion of his writing ability, and more so, the way he talks to guests. Like dude, we get it, but it’s way more fun if you don’t cut every one off. Also, please stop rushing guests. I know the analytics must tell you an hour long podcast is the most appealing and approachable, but good convo is even better. Also, the stubbornness on some of his personal philosophies is irritating. Oh CMC is injury prone because he’s small but what about Mixon, Saquon, Chubb, etc.? Like I get the principal, if you’re small, power plays are painful. But clearly injuries seem to be more about style of runner, types of plays and LUCK. Stop taking biology victory laps it’s weird.

I have been listening to Chris since his ESPN days. I am not only a big fan of his writing and fantasy analysis I am a bigger fan of him as a person. He connects with his audience unlike any other podcast I have ever listened to. He is not only the best fantasy analyst he is a better person who I respect and continually wish nothing but the best for. I have taken a personal interest in his success and I am glad to support him. This is from a few years ago and hasn’t changed. Have won 4 Super Bowls and another second place finish in the 5 years listening. Finally yea wear a mask and get a vaccine jerks. He’s only telling you what everyone knows. You don’t like it go listen to some Alex Jones crap. Your degree from Facebook University isn’t accepted here.

Ambivalence
His personality is grating at best. A textbook example of a coastal elite who thinks he is qualified to tell the world what to think and how to live. He occasionally tries to hide his arrogance when jousting with his guests, but it leaks through regardless, but..... It’s the best fantasy football podcast. It’s frustrating.

Most important fantasy football podcast around
Writing this review to fool our machine overlords into helping Chris Harris. Chris puts hundreds of hours into watching what players actually look like when they play so that you don’t have to. Personally I’m a huge fan of the corny inside jokes and music digressions and references, but even if you don’t find them entertaining or if you don’t agree completely with Chris’ film-first approach to fantasy, the podcast always has tons of valuable information that you won’t find anywhere else.

Harris
Best podcast I have listened to for fantasy football. Between the film watching and review great guests and great group of listeners it’s the first one I listen to each day. In fact I struggle listening to some of the big network versions because they make every mistake Chris calls out from listening to coach speak, avoiding crutch arguments and overcoming the reliance ob. simple box score watching. After a few years even Cousin Josh has grown on me.

I’ve subscribed to over 10 fantasy football podcasts. If you also overburden yourself with the same knowledge repeated over and over, stop! Literally the LEAST informative fantasy football podcast I’ve ever listened to. Whe Chris was with ESPN he dropped nuggets of info that was helpful. He no longer has access to to that information and his takes have completely torpedoed into oblivion. He routinely asked his cousins opinions and they both clearly have 0 clue what has transpired in the off-season to rise or fall a player. Doesn’t talk about defense impact on game script, doesn’t talk about OL for impact on passing/rushing. No clue about fav targets. Frankly just ill-informed and mailing it in clearly.

A shifty Pimp who DOES know some football
Harris is a pimp. He hypes products. He acts openly like he’s your amigo on the podcast. n other words he doesn’t have a third party do the commercials HE takes responsibility and personally says “this is a great product” and then you find out AFTER you purchase the product that its not a great product. Remember, I’m saying he builds up a false front on his podcast and act like he’s your buddy, “come visit me at such and such a. Bar blah blah” you know like Chris is your best pal. But your best pal won’t tell you to buy bad product and then run away when you reach out to him and say, “UH Chris good fellow such and such (in my case BETDSI) ripped me off and didn’t give me your Harris discount and then raked 50% of the profits when you asked for your money.” When you report this to Harris he vanishes. And now the little slime dog is doing fake commercials by using the name of former sponsors once and saying “They used to be my sponsor” in a cheap effort to get them as sponsors again. He’s really transparent about it. So do I think Harris knows about football. He gets a B- grade on that. He’s “fine” as he says. But he’s also a total mercenary and do NOT buy the products he pitches because they can be horrible products and he won’t help you when you get a dud. Be WARNED .

Disappointed Longtime Listener
I’ve followed Chris since his days with ESPN. I’ve always appreciated his dedication to putting in the hard work rather than just looking at box scores. However, his negativity has gotten to the point where I rather get average analysis from the more-upbeat ESPN podcast. The bits of political talk/references in Chris’ show get old, too. I listen sports podcasts to get away from everything going on in this world, and it’s a shame that this podcast can’t provide that. I’m disappointed to unsubscribe from both the podcast and his YouTube channel, but fantasy is supposed to be fun. This podcast takes away from the fun.

Film analysis and fun!
Chris Harris brings a thoughtful, intelligent brand of fantasy football discussion to a podcast desert otherwise filled with box score reading, groupthink, and echo chamber nonsense. But it’s not all business, as listener-submitted mixtapes and countless inside jokes bring much needed to humor to the methodical process of fantasy football analysis. If you’re looking for something more meaningful and enjoyable than the typical drivel you’ll find elsewhere, give it a listen, and become a Child of the Possum!

You literally...literally must stop what you’re going and send in some Snark
First episode I ever heard after catching a guest appearance from Chris on the Footballers, I thought it was terribly dry, and that robot voice. But the fantasy advice really appealed to my analytical mind as he tore apart crutch arguments espoused elsewhere. And then I heard the first mixtape and realized what a fun, goofball community it was. And the robot got an upgrade. And I wrote a mixtape and heard it on the show. And heard my first Snark Bag email and made my wife stare disapprovingly when I laughed out loud in glee. And I wrote another mixtape. And Harris kept giving good fantasy advice. And Cousin Josh. And now it’s the only football show I listen to. Cumulatively, it all makes my heart glad. But also, this show is so stupid. 🎉🎉🤪🤪

Please stop growing your online presence
The worst thing about “the little podcast that could”is that it’s becoming “the digital giant that is”. I hate how badly I want to make inside jokes and snarky references with my league mates derived from the show, yet don’t want to explain them for fear of leading them to listening to Harris’ sage fantasy advice. I finally bit the bullet and got the almanac the day before my draft and I’m kicking myself for procrastinating so long. I’ve been a follower back to the ESPN days, but after finally ascribing to the talent over statistics/situation paradigm, I was able to turn my franchise around and take a major step towards the fantasy mountain top. In the year we fight back I fully expect and intend to take home my league title. -Eric B Updated 11/12/2020: I finally won my league for the first time last year by trusting to process and hanging my hat on talent instead of situation. I’m in the hunt for the playoffs again this year and I bought the almanac again. 10/10 cannot recommend more highly. -Eric B

Mister. Christopher. Harris. This podcast is just what we need in the vast world of fantasy football nonsense. Thank you for going beyond the box score and telling us who is actually good at football. Update 2020. Still the go-to FF podcast. Robots, tape worms, and yachts OH MY! But seriously. Chris Harris breaks down the fantasy and game in a thoughtful and methodical way. he also leaves room for the listeners to form their own opinions as opposed to taking a fantasy prognosticators word as law. Great Podcast
Great podcast. Awesome analysis and conversations not hindered by some big corporations. Has taught me a lot about real football, not just fantasy. This is now the only podcast I listen to since it actually teaches you and promotes how to think for yourself, and not just listen to all the hype. I now find myself trusting my eyes on players and teams.

Best fantasy podcast
I don’t usually give reviews but this really is the best fantasy podcast I listen to it has helped me the most with real insight and film analysis and avoids the group think mentality that often plagues NFL and fantasy analysis in general. The one thing I will say is that I really cannot stand the New motto of lecturing me on wearing a mask for a virus with a 99% survival rate it is not about “helping others“ at this point because it has largely been blown out of proportion by the media and politicians with an agenda. Looking past the numbers and looking into actual analysis of the event is what Harris gets right about football but has completely ignored his own methods with the current state of the “pandemic“ I try to get away from all of the nonsense by tuning into the show and keeping up with football but it has really started to get to me every time I start the beginning of the show.

Stick to football
Fantasy advice, is good, but hella dry. And for some reason, there’s a relentless insistency to incorporate band recommendations . Oh god, they’re awful, all of them. Just stick to the analysis, and leave your 3rd eye blind tshirt at home. We’re not all high school football reject jocks. And most of us don’t need music suggestions . It’s painful, like the theme song to “Friends”. Don’t be that guy.

Knowledge and Integrity
The Harris Football Fantasy Podcast is a gem among piles of dog excrement. I've listened to SO many fantasy football shows, and this is one of the very few that is useful to me both in drafts and during the season. He has a methodology -- watching film! -- and sticks to it. Yes, he is routinely wrong and admits it, but he is much more often right. No one but God would get every pick correct... To the haters out there, who claim Harris is too woke, that he asks us to wear a mask (gasp!), or want him to change his mind on Blake Bortles, you don't need to listen. Go chase your hunches and yards-per-carry heroes into oblivion. The rest of us faithful listeners will enjoy ourselves, win our leagues, be well-entertained, and try our darndest to be good people.

Great film analysis by Christopher Harris
This is still the best fantasy football podcast in existence in my opinion. The analysis by Chris is literally exceptional. It’s hard to listen to other football podcasts because Chris cuts out all the fluff and random illogical takes that are so prevalent in other shows. The concept of developing opinions from what you see football players do on the field rather than judging players solely on there stats seems simple enough. However in our society the lure of simply assessing players skill by looking at the box score is to strong of a trap for many. Chris also watches every football game every year which helps differentiate him from ever other run of the mill fantasy podcast. Also on a different note after having listened to Chris for years he seems like a really humble nice guy :). I highly recommend this podcast.

I’m thankful for Harris’ football content. I gave 5 star rating. But please Harris- ironically as I’m writing you a good review I’m hearing you talk about wearing a mask (it’s insane that you allow our rights to be taken away) and pandering to people of skin color. All those victims were attacking police or a threat. The USA is the least racist country in the world. More blacks are immigrating here from Africa and other places at a rate higher than ever before. The Worst (Update....still the worst)
Update: Decided to try again to listen to his podcast to start the 2020 season. His takes NEVER change. Guys he’s always high on: Gurley, Bell, Keenan Allen, Rodgers, he will always be high on, even when nobody else is. Then he’ll chalk it up to bad OL play, WR play, QB play, etc as to why these guys struggle. If a guest has an opposite opinion, he routinely talks down to them suggesting they’re wrong. His humor is lost on me. I compare it to Jim Rome. If you missed episodes, you’ll not get the humor. The other week he had an ADP discussion and disparaged the site he got the rankings from not understanding what kind of ranks the site was using. Why use that site as your example then? My guess is he has clout in the industry because he used to work for ESPN, but if you have any ability to play the game, you’d easily out manage your team week to week if in the same league with him. This guys always talks about how much better his podcast is compared to others because of him watching the film while everyone else studies box scores. Problem is, his opinions of the players never change. If he’s low on a guy in the preseason, be assured he’ll remain low on the guy in season NO MATTER WHAT. He’ll chalk success up to yards coming in blowouts, untouched TD runs, or stating you’ll never be able to trust the guy week to week. How many guys can you truly trust week to week? Along with that, he’s “humor” is tired and scripted. He’ll mention guys just to play drops even if they have very little relevance in his talking points. He talks down to his guests constantly. ‘Cousin Josh’ is no better. Imagine listening to fantasy football advice from friends on a podcasts. He brings nothing of substance. For those who say Harris is helpful for their fantasy football seasons, I assure you these are rookies just looking for “advice”. If you were to follow his advice, you’d miss out on any hot name in preseason, be late to picking up guys on waivers because Harris wasn’t impressed by them the week before, and disappointed you can’t make trades in your league based on what Harris and Josh suggest. I believe his podcast is a 60 minute infomercial on why you should watch his YouTube videos.

A better place
Listen, the actual real world would be a better place If everyone was a little more like Chris. And by that I do NOT mean everyone should spend a boarderline insane amount of time watching the film on every NFL player. That would just be crazy and we have Chris for that anyway. And I also don’t mean we all need to suddenly join some free-the-oppressed-possum societies. That’s covered too. But I do mean, rational, prudent thought layered in empathy and respect. Chris frankly is a role model for podcast listening masses, and will also help you win your fantasy league. So you’re killing a couple birds with one stone here, and also get some fashion advice - in case you are in the market for size 28, 4 inch inseam baggies. There! I did it! My first review ever. Bit redundant
For 5 years, harris spends half of each podcast droning on about the echo chamber and groupthink, touting his ability to analyze performance on film as a greater predictive value than statistical analysis or player situation casting. Unfortunately his strategy doesn’t seem to work. I’ve followed closely for several years and his takes unfortunately just don’t pan out very well. Plus he’s a bit too “woke” for my liking. Refusing to allow guests to mention the Redskins mascot name for years etc. Also his overall rank list podcast lacks substance and detail. I also didn’t find his almanac very helpful.

Updated review: This pod has only grown since my original review. The insight provided by the host is honest and informed and the guest are amazing as well. This pod has replaced all other fantasy football podcast and become my go to during this much need distraction in 2020. My original review: I really enjoyed his last podcast. Film Don’t Lie!
Maybe you found this podcast, like me, because you noticed that most fantasy analysts sounded the same, spewing out the same lame stats you could just Google yourself merely spun in different ways to support their views, rankings, or projections. Chris painstakingly watches and rewatches film of every play of every game and evaluates the talent of players, relevant to fantasy, by giving them grades and humorously discusses his viewpoints and opinions on them which will surely help you make better decisions managing your team. Film don’t lie like worthless coachspeak, yards per carry, or situational arguments pumped into the echo chamber of endless clickbait articles and puff pieces barely held up by crutch arguments like the one that said Alex Collins was going to have a monster year because there was no one else on the depth chart, but Harris advised to stay away...We sure saw how that worked out right? Harris is the best in business, he’s the signal in the noise, and he can coach you to ignore the farts and whistles to demonstrate good click discipline. So, do yourself a favor and pump this pod straight into your earholes and make this the year you fight back! .

The only fantasy football podcast I listen to every day
There are 1000 fantasy football podcasts out there, but the Harris Football Podcast is the best. Here’s why. 1. Harris watches tape and reports on which players are the most talented. He’s not the only analyst who does, but it puts him in select company. 2. Harris ignores in his assessment, and exposes for his listeners, meaningless stats and bad arguments that are the tools in trade for so many other fantasy analysts. And finally, 3. He puts himself out there. Every day you hear a genuine person who’s got some depth to him, not a persona. As a result, the listenership feels like a tribe with a leader. And the leader involves the fans in the podcasts and makes us feel like we have a stake in it. Being a Harris listener means being a member of a community.

Essential film-based fantasy pod
Harris does an excellent job breaking down the talent of football players. As a dad of many kids, I can’t watch many games myself so Harris breaks down film and talent for me. Thanks! He also explains how to evaluate film yourself if you want to try. I tend to be better at the stats side of fantasy, so Harris provides a great balance to my analysis to know how much talent (or lack) is backing up the numbers. Very helpful! The show is also positive and funny—though it may take a little time to understand the long running jokes.

I listen occasionally because I really can’t stand how full of himself Harris comes off as. All he can talk about is how he never looks at rankings and he’s the only one who watches film. The Best!
By far the best season-long fantasy podcast out there. Harris’s podcast taught me more about fantasy football than years of watching shows and listening to other podcasts. He puts in the hard work so we don’t have to! Tired of listening to people who claim to have called 50 studs correctly because they are constantly calling 100s of players studs? Harris is the answer. He watches the film, plants his flags in the ground, and gives you an edge on everyone else who is overwhelmed with bad analysis and no direction. Apply his ideas to what you already know about your league, and you will improve! He’s also very entertaining and once you get in the flow he’ll make you laugh.

Truly the only FFB podcast one needs
Update 2 and final one: I’m out. Chris launched his brand on positivity and such. It was deceptive. He’s as negative as they come and will take any chance to try and slam others CONSTANTLY and REPEATEDLY. Why? Jealousy? Who knows. But I’m out. The above avg analysis isn’t worth the lame humor and, worse, the nonstop demeaning and ill-conceived superiority schtick. Update: Podcast has become increasingly and excessively negative over the past two seasons. Last year, Chris decide to have a theme: “The Year We Fight Back” I disliked the negative vibe it presented, but wasn’t too concerned because the podcast had always been upbeat and fairly positive. Even when truly awful “real life” tragedies occurred, Chris would briefly and poignantly touch on these things, but wouldn’t linger. He’d shift into positive emotions and serve as a nice respite from the onslaught of depressing coverage found everywhere else. It was an incredibly aware stance that I’m sure helped other listeners like myself cope in these tough times. His treatment of these incredibly thought issues was a good indication of the overall vibe: a happy place to spend an hour each day for a few months every year. However, that seemingly innocuous season-long theme turned into the modus operandi with the entire mood shifting. Everything is negative. Chris is more happy to continually bash bad announcers (all but like two people) instead of abandoning that dry, and frankly shallow to begin with, well. 90% of podcasts contain some form (sometimes incessant) of Booger bashing. We get it... the dude isn’t good in that role... but are those “jokes” still hitting home 3+ months in? They were not that good then. And all of it comes at a high price of giving up something unique this podcast had: positivity. I took to Twitter to express disdain about the negativity in favor of maybe just ignoring Booger while knowing everyone knows and it’s old news. Well, the following day, the once fun podcast had three separate emails that Chris read and responded to that were centered on the failing broadcaster. Only one word continually comes to mind at this point: pathetic. Chris still does good fantasy work. It’s just not worth the negativity. I play fantasy football for fun and good feelings. Why would I want to continually sprinkle in negativity and bad emotions? I don’t. —————— For years, I listened to “company men” drone on about superficial (and misleading) box score stats to assist my fantasy football decision-making processes. Then, a fresh new podcast emerged with Chris and then colleague, Field Yates. It was great. I could never go back to my ways of old... But then Chris abruptly left ESPN. Fear not, however! Harris Football emerged from the husk that was ESPN’s resident fantasy redhead. His film-based approach to fantasy content has been my guiding light and pleasure to consume for the past three years. It’s a daily staple for my long commute. Containing smart content presented with an undeniable entertainment value, Chris has crafted a very cool refuge for those of us who aren’t interested in following the popular views presented by so many in the industry. Chris presents the truth as he sees it unfold before him and we all benefit from his perspective even if we occasionally disagree (small RB’s are ok if they’re built well, Chris... I promise!). Do yourself a favor and subscribe for a week. You won’t go back.

One jaded, cynical, and bitter guy...
After listening to Harris do his Top Ten Movies of 2019 podcast last week, I think I’ve finally figured him out. First and foremost, the guy is a classic contrarian. That’s his whole deal...his entire shtick revolves around it. If a movie gets universal acclaim, you can bet Harris will call it overrated. A player with 1500 rushing yards, you can bet Harris will say he’s probably not worth an early pick. If someone is calling heads, he’s calling tails. That’s just who he is, in a nutshell. Harris relishes being that guy in the corner of the room who calls everyone out, criticizes the consensus opinion no matter what it is, and thinks he somehow is the voice of reason. Instead, he vouches for the awkward, obscure movie that appeals to about 10 people, or a player with great physical skills who’s shown nothing to indicate he can actually be a great NFL contributor. Meanwhile, the 5-time All Pro is continually called out or considered not all that good by Harris. Just so he can call himself different. And Harris tends to hang on to these outdated player evaluations long after they’ve been proven incorrect. He’s stubborn as a mule, with a cockiness that’s unappealing. It must be very sad to be Harris and live in his world. He said on his movie podcast that he finds it ludicrous that anyone could be shocked or disturbed by the movie Joker. Of course, nearly every critic considers it just that. This just shows how cynical and jaded Harris is and what his worldview really is all about. He no longer has the capacity for wonder, shock, or surprise. No, this is a guy who likes only niche things. Niche books, niche movies, niche bands, niche players. He’s one strange cat. If you like listening to an utter snob, one who’s cynical and jaded to the core, by all means, listen to the Harris Football Podcast.

Smug But Useful
I've been listening to the podcast for several years, and while it is often maddening, there's enough good content that keeps me coming back. I think that I've finally worked out the right level of consumption that keeps me from yelling at the car stereo The GOOD: *It's evident that Chris puts in the hours and works extremely hard. He puts out five shows a week, watches all of the games, and books plenty of interesting guests. *Monday/Tuesday game film review episodes are very useful. *The waiver segments are thorough and balanced. The 33% threshold is just right, and I like that he makes sure to discuss streamable QB's/Def's for the week. Even if I cant listen on a Tuesday, I make sure to check out the waiver lists in the show notes before the waiver deadline. *I don't put much stock in Cousin Josh's advice, but he is extremely entertaining and likeable. *Chris is not afraid to have his own opinion. He does not get swayed by the herd, and that's actually pretty impressive in the fantasy football industry. *Chris seems genuinely appreciative of his audience. The MEH: *I find all of the possum, yacht, duck hands, etc. talk pretty cringeworthy, but I guess other people get a kick out of it so whatever. *I don't enjoy the mix-tapes, but it's easy enough to skip through. I would say maybe 5% are amusing (I do like Stefon Diggity). *Chris can definitely be funny (hippo on rollerskates, wacky waving inflatable arm flailing tube man), but sometimes he's trying too hard. Your mileage may vary. The BAD: *As lots of other reviewers point out, Chris comes off as extremely smug. I feel like it's getting worse, but maybe he's just gradually worn down my tolerance for it. He's not content to simply produce the type of fantasy podcast that he thinks is best. He has to CONSTANTLY remind you how terrible other podcasts are. He will endlessly remind you about the times when he goes on other podcasts where those hosts say stupid things. He will complain about the hot take drivel that other podcasts waste their A-blocks talking about. And he will spend his entire A-block complaining about those other A-blocks, without any hint of irony or self-awareness. I get that he's an entrepeneur who's built this podcast from scratch and has to always be reinforcing the brand, but it's way too much for my taste. *Related to the smugness point, Chris often likes to be contrarian simply as a way to trumpet how smart he is. One of his favorite techniques is to say "People on this side of the issue are so dumb. People on the other side are also so dumb. Meanwhile, by calling everyone else dumb, I prove how very enlightened I am." Go listen to his infuriating take on Andrew Lunck's retirement. It truly belongs in the Pantheon of Smug. *Chris has a major blindspot about injury optimism. A player might have gotten both of their legs amputated, but if Chris has liked a player's film in the past, he will stick with that player for much too long (see Jamaal Charles). *Chris has tried and true excuses when a call goes bad. He will say "you can't legislate usage" or "this was a problem between the player's ears". Of course, this can be true a lot of the time, but it's extremely rare where he admits that he misjudged film tape. If he's wrong about a player, it's always because of a reason which no one could have predicted. And then when other experts make bad calls, it's always because they are idiots who looked at a box score. *His trade advice is pretty unhelpful. He will often complain about the "Not in my league" refrains. I'm sure he gets lots of annoying criticism and feedback, but in this case I think he would be well-served to take up some of the advice. No one needs a podcast to tell you to trade two 6's for a 10. *Chris likes to skewer the illogical advice of other experts (oftentimes rightly so), but he succumbs to this as much as any other commentator. He recently provided playoff start/sit rationale as play whoever will make you feel less bad if you lose. The correct advice is to play who you think gives you the best chance at winning, not who will give you friendliest loss.

Use to be a must listen, now he’s so smug and defensive he’s unlistenable to
Harris football use to be a staple of my pods but the last two years have turned into Chris telling people “they just look at box scores” and “that’s bad analysis I play good players” Chris LITERALLY refuses to acknowledge targets, opportunity and volume is the foundation of fantasy football. He use to be a great balance of “talent” themed analysis to counter the box score readers but he’s now so stubborn about “that’s not a good player” that half his show is himself bragging he’s better at this than other people and how his “process” is better; the other half of the show is ads...will I miss the gems he gave me, yeah but not enough to withstand his new negativity and braggadocios behavior about his talent evaluation. Won’t miss ya Chris and that’s sad because you use to be one of the best.

Only fantasy analyst worth listening to
Christopher Harris is the best in the industry. No one can be 100 percent accurate in a game as unpredictable as fantasy football, but he tells you what he sees on tape and doesn’t try to sell you on past stats that don’t translate to future ones. If anyone else worked nearly as hard at this craft, maybe they would be able to give strong takes like Harris, but the fact is they don’t. That’s why Harris is by far the best.

Best NFL Fantasy Podcast!
Christopher Harris is the man - best analyst in the fantasy football genre! Quite a few personality quirks and foibles are shared on his podcast, making an interesting and original listen. I try not to miss most podcasts - especially when cousin Josh rears his ugly head. What a trash bag! Intelligent and pointed content and fantasy advice can be found here!

Above all other turkey/mayo pods
Great insight from Harris, gleaned from study of game film. Harris is also very funny and self- deprecating; yes the inside jokes can be a challenge for the uninitiated, but there’s a primer somewhere online if one wants to get up to speed quickly. Let’s just leave it at this: I have my wife now singing “Tevin Coleman is the Turkey Mayo” around the house, except she keeps calling him Kevin Goldman, since she has no idea who he is (or why he might be comparable to a deli sandwich).

I’ve been listening to Harris since he started and it’s easily the best FFB podcast! As a working wife of two kids I started listening to this in my spare time after joining a FFB league. Now I’m in my husbands FFB league and know more than most (maybe all) of them 👌🏼 The inside jokes and FFB knowledge make this podcast a fun way to learn about football. Great at illuminating *why* some players are more valuable than others. So many other fantasy football experts are just box score prognosticators. Chris can predict long-term fortunes because he reads talent. Just make sure to skip the first minute of every podcast and the first 2-3 minutes of every guest, it’s all useless prattle.

Possum doesn’t follow the herd
Chris Harris doesn’t spit out the same tired crutch arguments as most of the industry. He puts in the work and isn’t afraid to go against the grain when what he sees doesn’t line up with consensus. And he does it with a wry sense of humor that hits the mark. And he likes your hat, so that’s cool.

From the Underground to the Little Podcast that Could
I used to listen to Chris back in his ESPN days when he was on the Fantasy Underground. I thought that was an underrated show. Naturally, when I heard he was going Indie I downloaded and listened to give it a shot. At first, I was skeptical of the format and the lack of production bells and whistles. Time has shown that this is THE best Fantasy Football podcast out there. Chris watches the film and breaks down what he sees which is a breath of fresh air. He engages the fantasy community by bringing on dozens of colleagues from various companies throughout the year to compare thought on players and the like. He has great engaging ideas during the season as well as offseason topics to ensure listeners listen in throughout the year. He even recently started a companion piece on YouTube to visually show listeners what he describes on air about how players perform on the field. All around Chris is my go-to fantasy expert!

Still five stars…
Chris does a great job breaking down what he sees watching every NFL game. He also has guests on for generally entertaining and informative conversations. I listen everyday and I am still giving the pod five stars. but… I wish Chris would stop disparaging people who look at stats for fantasy football. I think, in every episode, there are at least five mentions of “people who just look at box scores…” and “that’s why I actually WATCH the games…” along with other morally supreme stances on analytics. We get it. Stop wasting our time with these platitudes and with the incessant victory laps on players you liked who perform well. You have an important voice and people listen. Reward us by not assuming we are idiots who need to be reminded 5x a day that box scores don’t tell the whole story. I find myself screaming “WE GET IT” every time he says it now. More information is better. Why would I just ignore stats that are correlated with results because someone does not see it on film? I wouldn’t…the same way I won’t completely ignore opportunity stats in favor subjective evaluation of talent.

Great to see Harris going out on his own
I am really happy that Christopher Harris has gone out on his own here. I always think that a lot of fantasy rankers have so much confirmation bias when they do rankings and I believe that Harris really develops an independent view. I love that he's always been helpful on Twitter and takes time to interact with fans and players of this game we love so much. Kudos to Harris to taking the risk and leaving the ESPN megaplex and building your own brand! After listening to Harris for 4 years, I can honestly say I’ve just stopped listening to other FF podcasts. I’m sure there are other good ones out there but I only have time for one, so I go with the one that brings me the most logical and reasonable approach to this hobby of mine. Keep up the good work!

Unique fantasy football analysis
Chris offers a different type of fantasy football analysis. The rankings are not a prediction of statistics, but rather what he sees as the better player for the week. He offers insights as to what is working or not working for a particular player instead of just offering statistics and rehashing box scores. He instructs how to ignore the background noise. I can assert confidentally that Chris Harris is not a fart face.

Love the pod, good humor, good snark, decent fantasy analyst. My biggest issue is the snobby I’m looking at talent, not opportunity approach. Great for finding dynasty players or sleeper/breakout players that haven’t broken out...but fantasy football isn’t about which players would I want if I were a GM/coach building a team. You aren’t going to win any redraft leagues by starting a bunch of really talented players putting up mediocre stats if your opponents are taking gambles on situations with less talented players. Insisting everyone trade Patrick mahomes all season long last year is a great example of where this podcast can point you in the wrong direction. now we see the other side of the coin with insisting on keeping/playing Aaron Rodgers every week this season. Rodgers is behind Andy dalton, jameis Winston, Marcus mariota for the season, all players constantly trashed on this podcast. Harris also wants all RBs to be cut in a certain mold until recently. I wish the podcast would remember the focus is on the game we all play, fantasy football and box scores, not talent evaluation like we’re scouts for nfl teams

Great unbiased information
This podcast is great not because of special effects or fancy bells and whistles, but because Chris works so hard to give you his unvarnished view. He watches more film than anyone else in the industry and therefore has clear reasons for his positions. It is based on what he sees - not in interpreting stats. As such, you get a much different take than the ones offered by most other fantasy football experts. If you want a clear, unbiased and INDEPENDENT view of player value, this is the podcast for you. On top of that, his audience is extremely supportive and forms a wonderful community of fans. I can recommend this one highly - Chris is friendly, helpful and a great guy. One cannot help but pull for this independent podcast to continue to thrive.

Entertaining Fantasy Podcast
Don’t think there is a magical recipe for fantasy success. As far as I’m concerned luck is the single greatest component. Don’t believe me—as the rest of my league mates who lost to someone who auto picked her team (in an auction draft) last year and won the league. That said, Chris doesn’t pull his opinions from the ether—he tries to give good advice based upon what he observes on film and using common sense. Enough schtick to make the episodes entertaining, but not too much to make it annoying. Give it a listen.

To be upfront: this podcast isn’t for everyone. You will either love it or hate it. But I think most people love it, because Chris does an amazing job cutting through some of the B.S. in the fantasy football landscape. Plus, there is some just great football football content. I watch the actual games differently now, and it’s even more enjoyable. If you give it a shot, don’t get bogged down in the inside jokes. Steer into the skid and embrace it all. Please don’t listen
If you are looking for a fantasy podcast to tell you the stats of an nfl player; this is t the show for you. If you are looking for a fantasy analyst to coddle your already over saturated belief that stats are king and yards per carry are important metrics; this isn’t the show for you. If you are looking for a show put on by a goofy satirical ginger who ruins his eyes watching film on a yacht; this may be the show for you. Chris dissects the film and preaches about talent rather than stats. This show is definitely quirky but I don’t tell me leaguemates about it because of the stark advantage I receive from Chris Harris. If I could give it six stars I would.

- Five Level-Jumpers For 2023 & Jahan Dotson FilmIt's a great time of year for player evaluation! We know very little about how NFL teams will look by the time August gets here, so we can focus on what players do well, and how we think their results might improve in 2023. Today we'll count down five players who have a chance to "jump levels" this season! - 2023 Salary Cap Casualties & Tyler Allgeier FilmSome big skill-position names could be headed for the salary-cap chopping block this winter. Players like Dalvin Cook, Aaron Jones and Mike Evans could wind up on different teams in 2023 over money. On today's show, we'll evaluate what it would mean if cap-strapped teams pull the trigger on such transactions: ramifications for the players and for the team's they'd leave behind. We'll also break down the rookie tape of Falcons running back Tyler Allgeier, and talk about the Steelers and Chargers decisions on their offensive coaching staffs. Guest: Scott Pianowski of Yahoo! - Making Sense Of Fantasy Outliers From 2022Some fantasy weapons posted weird statistical seasons in 2022! A few guys whose film we like had an inordinate number of touchdowns on less-than-scintillating usage. Some were allergic to the end zone. Some spiked their production toward the end of the season. Today we'll confront the statistical realities on some 2022 fantasy football anomalies, and decide whether we think they can repeat their production in 2023 or even vastly improve upon it. We'll also look at the current NFL coaching vacancies, and discuss the potential for a DeAndre Hopkins trade. Guest: Jake Ciely of The Athletic. - Five Players Whose Film We LoveThe NFL world was rocked Monday night with a terrible injury to Bills defensive back Damar Hamlin, causing the postponement of a very fun NFL matchup, and causing us all to grapple with our fandom. We'll talk about that a bit to begin today's podcast, and then we'll discuss an appropriate topic: players we love. Not necessarily players we think will become superstars or major fantasy weapons...simply players who bring us joy when we watch them on film. And joy feels in short supply at the moment, so hopefully we can bring a smile to your face in a difficult time. Guest: Chris Raybon of the Action Network. That means your lineup questions will feel more urgent than ever for Week 17! - Five Busts For 2023 & Prepping For Fantasy SemisThe fantasy semifinals are underway, and we'll discuss (briefly!) what happened Thursday night between the Jaguars and Jets. We'll also run down the injury situations we'll be tracking for this long weekend of NFL action, and make our DraftKings lineups for the main slate in Week 16. But we also want you to stress about your fantasy semis as little as possible! You've done the work! It's gonna be what it's gonna be! So we'll also do a soothing look ahead to 2023, and players whose ADPs we imagine will be higher than we're willing to pay. Bring on the busts! Guests: DFS Expert Jake Trowbridge and Cousin Josh. - Week 16 Waivers & Rest Of W15 Game FilmWhat happened to Christian Watson in Week 15? Is Justin Fields on his way to fantasy superstardom? Is Jalen Hurts truly questionable to play in Week 16 and what does that mean for Philly's weapons? Is D'Onta Foreman now on the no-fly list for fantasy? We'll discuss these and tons more issues that are brought up by the Week 15 game film, and then we'll spin it forward and talk about the waiver adds we're considering for our fantasy semifinals in Week 16. - Harris Fantasy Football Podcast Dec 19 · 1h 3m Week 15 Game Film ReviewIn Week 15, the Patriots gave the gift that will keep on giving for years and decades to come: the stupidest play of 2022 and one of the stupidest in NFL history. We'll talk about that, and go over many of the exciting and disappointing players and offenses that defined fantasy quarterfinals weekend: What happened to Jonathan Taylor? Is Zay Jones now a must-start? Are the Buccaneers turning the corner or just doomed? We'll talk through the game film we actually watched, and not just the stat lines anyone can read! - Week 15 Ranks, SFvSEA Preview & DraftKings! We shouldn't tinker *too* much with our Week 15 lineups, because we don't want the pain of benching a superstar and having him go off. But we also want to be smart as we get into the fantasy playoffs, and give ourselves the best chance of winning a championship. We'll try and skirt that line while talking about our Week 15 ranks, discussing some key players you may or may not want to start. We'll also preview the Thursday night game between the 49ers and Seahawks and create some Week 15 lineups for DraftKings. Guests: Dave Kluge from FootballGuys.com and DFS Expert Jake Trowbridge.
