As we go through life, we come across all sorts of power, is to prevent us from doing something. But as a scientist, I like to dig into the first principles and establish, if the limit is truly a physical limit of impossibility of something that's in the mind, a lot of our struggles in life and actually against the laws of physics that I just against relative ideas of limits that we formed our beliefs ultimate limited based on our current environment. And it's very easy to lose sight of the bigger picture and ignore, the evidence is actually around us to our limits. Could be much higher in this episode. I'm going to talk about uncovering, the real limits of our own capabilities and why we can believe that they have much leverage, you to just using incorrect reference points, my goal will be to help you, establish better reference points, if y-you limit should be, so you can perform higher and do more cool stuff.

When you're singing, your voice has a range of notes that you can make noise at you rearrange, might not be issued, but it's usually isn't tiny. Many singers will stop singing a scale or song near the bottom of that range and they'll start to give up in the run. And then let me be a call to the way of the range or something. The trouble is all in their mind and I did this, a lot was, I was trying to saying, and my teacher told me that this is such a common problem, and she tries to get people to imagine that they are above the night that I trying to sing. And that they're going to go down to what this relatively High night for that for the moment. And then they suddenly hit the night really easily, just a matter of perspective, in the moment, the best thing in the short run, they lose perspective of that full range, and they got scared. This thing in that. Mind becomes really difficult, but actually relatively for them, it's not hard. So that is choking for no reason. Loss of our struggles in life aren't against the laws of physics. As I said to the start, they are against relative ideas of limits that I owe in our minds, often has limited based on our current environment with lost in the moment such as when you're singing and we lose sight of evidence that we have about real limits such as hey, I can think really high notes when I hit him high for the trash, my right? It's this comes up and so many other place.
Another really interesting example for me is how humans, think about what they can achieve over a different times bands. We often too ambitious. And what we can achieve this week or this month we finish. Here we go again with your setting to you many times not to do box that we don't get around to yet. We aren't ambitious enough before we can do in a decade over the whole lives. Or is that evidence that I can see outside of my situation where this isn't a barrier? And finally, how would I approach this if I thought it was easy.
