Fun and informative
I recently found this gem and have been binging back episodes. Mike is an entertaining host with incredible knowledge. I inherited a vintage collection from my recently deceased father and this show is bringing me up to speed quickly.

Golden Age of Cardboard is Tremendous
Mike is a masterful host of this podcast even his Dad says he’s from the shallow end of the gene pool during the opening. I listen to every episode. Just a great idea.

Very enjoyable Broadcast about vintage cards
I’ve been enjoying your podcasts and just recently subscribed. I just listened to your podcast about building sets, in particular the 1960 set. This is what I do and just recently completed a 58 set and am working on the 60 set now. I need about 75 cards. I enjoy obtaining lots, utilizing a checklist and ultimately putting them in a book. There is something very methodical about this that is very reminiscent of completing sets as a child, with the only difference being, instead of packs, we open mail now. Did you ever complete your set?

Love this podcast - and a ? for Mike
I’m thinking of diving into the vintage card collecting market and am finding this to be a terrific resource. Question for Mike - what resource did you use to build your 1960 set checklist? I can find a lot of checklists on line, but none in Excel format. I want a spreadsheet and don’t see a way to do it other than typing in each player’s name which would be sub-optimal.

Wonderful podcast
As a 50 yo collector I was thrilled to find Mike’s podcast on vintage cards. I have been noticing this week, cards I bought a few months ago have doubled in price. Mikes latest podcast provided a very timely analysis. In think one other factor is the tragic number of hall of famers who have died this year. Keep up the good work.

One request, Mike! Please examine the 1968 Topps Set
Awesome show. Great guests! I would love it if Mike would recap the 1968 Topps set. It has a wonderful collection of young pitchers like Ryan, Seaver, Palmer, Carlton, Denny McLain, and the two Niekro brothers. Thank you for the inspiring and unique podcast.

Advanced collectors podcast
I have quickly become a big fan of this show. As a long time collector I appreciate that this show is geared for that crowd and a show that I can learn from. I just finished the most recent episode and my shop going experience as a kid was exactly the same as the hosts and I grew up in a different part of the country. Very enjoyable listen.

Great Content
I have loved listening to every episode. I learn something new each time. I personally am a fan of Hall of Fame autographs and really enjoyed the episode with Bill Hall of Fame Collector. I also like the many different ways you can collect vintage (Topps last Hall of Fame Card, etc.). Keep up the good work.

FINALLY!!
Really impressed with the whole concept and theme of this podcast. Finally, someone is discussing the popular topics of vintage cards. It’s a breathe of fresh air when everyone seems to be all about “investing” in the ultra modern game.

Love Vintage cards!
In recent months the sports card hobby has been taken over by modern and ultra modern content. For the old school collector this gets old and repetitive. It’s so nice to find quality vintage content. Thank you!

Good start. Tons of potential
I’m really enjoying this pod four episodes in. Has a lot of potential. Looking forward to seeing how it evolves. Card collecting needs more content that is about collecting. Not ‘investing.’
