Cute. Informative. Inspiring.
A podcast that feels like they are asking questions I came up with for the interviews. The structured format is easy to follow without all the extra bells and whistles. Unlike other entrepreneur podcasts that are too broad—this one I can listen too and actually get motivated and into the groove so I can move into my own entrepreneurial experience. The variety of females on the podcast help to see things I can adapt and incorporate as I learn from all these guests. There’s something for everyone here and a community to get you going to start what you’ve always to do as a business. :)

Best insights ever!!!
I started to listen to FSC podcasts a few months ago when I decided to quit my corporate job and follow my entrepreneurial dream. I listened to at least hundred episodes and I’ve learnt something new and insightful in each single one of those. Doone is a great host, her questions are smart, practical and on point. The entrepreneurs are always inspiring, authentic and open to share great tips. Best show out there for new entrepreneurs like me!

A1 Entrepreneurial Podcast for all Aspiring Female Entrepreneurs
As the host of The Hustle Factory Podcast show, I can see an amazing diversity on this podcast. Not to mention, I can definitely see Doone's amazing vibe on the episode where she interviewed one of the founders of a booze-free beverage. Just simply amazing! In addition, I'm pretty greatful that I was able to connect with a fellow content creator as well as entrepreneur too! I's amazing how small the world is. It would be an honor if I can be part of her podcast soon or even mines. Lol. Overall, this is highly recommended podcast for all aspiring entrepreneurs and innovators out there! - 6 quick questions with Kristel de Groot, Founder of Your Super (Part 2)This is Kristel de Groot for Female Startup Club Hi everyone and welcome back to the show! It’s Doone here, your host and hype girl! If you’re a small business owner or an entrepreneur listening into this episode - you probably know how hard it can be to generate generate revenue - its bloody tough! you might have just started and made a few sales… you might have made a few thousand dollars in sales or maybe even a few hundred thousand - hell maybe you’ve made multi 7 figures in sales! Now imagine scaling your business to hitting $200 million in revenue. Imagine what that would look like from a supply chain point of view, a product development pov, the investment point of view. That’s what Kristel de Groote did - all while she was in her 20’s. I know. Wild. Today’s episode is a reminder that when you stick it out for the long run, when you have a real purpose and drive to change the world - magical things can happen. Kristel built her company, Your Super, alongside her partner Michael in their early 20s after Michael battled cancer. They built it to $200m in revenue and then sold it to the Healing Company in 2022 for an undisclosed amount. This story starts with humble beginnings and it ends with so many brilliant learnings, I hope you love it as much as I do! And before we jump into today’s episode I want to quickly mention the Girl Code that we introduced in our recent episodes! The general gist is that it’s a very loose and casual deal where if you love Female Startup Club and what we’re doing over here, you take a tiny action every time you listen to one of our episodes. Whether that’s by leaving us a review, or sharing this episode on social media - basically anything that helps us reach more ears and keep growing. - Female Startup Club May 23 · 8m 6 Quick Questions with Ami Bateman, Co-founder Pleasant State (part 2)This is Ami Bateman for Female Startup Club Hi everyone and welcome back to the show! It’s Doone here, your host and hype girl! If you’ve just found us - we are SO grateful and happy to have you here. Every week on the Female Startup Club podcast I interview some of the world’s most successful founders and women in business to understand their blueprint to success. And today you’re going to meet fellow Aussie, Ami Bateman. Ami is the co-founder of Australia’s first just-add-water non toxic cleaning company Pleasant State. And this is the first in a mini series where we take you through Ami’s journey in starting Pleasant State right through to their just launched equity crowdfunding campaign. And it is SO interesting! We’re talking about the challenges that we still face as women entering the fundraising scene and what she’s learned trying to access more capital to scale their booming business. If you’ve ever thought about an equity crowdfunding campaign for your business - this is worth grabbing your notepad. - 6 quick questions with Ju Rhyu, Founder of Hero Cosmetics (Part 2)This is Ju Rhyu for Female Startup Club Hi everyone and welcome back to the show! It’s Doone here, your host and hype girl! I’m coming to your ears from Sydney Australia and it is a beautiful sunny day over here. If you’ve just found us - we are SO grateful and happy to have you here. Every week on the Female Startup Club podcast I interview some of the world’s most successful founders and women in business to understand their blueprint to success. And today you’re going to meet someone very very special. Ju Rhyu. She’s the founder of a company called Hero Cosmetics. Now we had Ju on the show back in 2020 - pandemic - when I was London based - feels like a lifetime apart from today - to share her journey in starting the business - and if you didn’t hear that episode I highly recommend you go back and listen to it because Ju took a very interesting path to launching Hero and it’s well worth a listen, with so many interesting gems and mini tactics we can all take note of. But today we’re digging into something VERY different and exciting and crazy. It’s her path to acquisition. We often hear on the show from entrepreneurs who have raised millions of dollars and are in the middle of the journey but last year in 2022 Ju sold her business, for $630 million dollars. That is more than half a billion dollars. Wow. And it’s rare that we get to learn from someone who’s actually pulled this off at this scale. This conversation is so insightful and as always Ju shares it all. So buckle up - because we’re in for a real treat today. And just one last thing before we get into this episode and while I have you here. I just want to give you some hype girl energy to get out there and start posting on TikTok today. - 6 quick questions with Jess Hatzis-Walker , Co founder of Frank Bod (Part 2)This is Jess Hatzis-Walker for Female Startup Club Hello and welcome back to the show! It’s Doone here - your host and hype girl sliding into your ears with a new episode on the Female Startup Club podcast. If you’re new here, hi! Welcome! Every week we interview some of the world’s most exciting and successful founders and entrepreneurs - who happen to be women. Like Jess Hatzis-Walker. One of the co-founders behind the iconic skincare brand, Frank Bod. Frank Bod started a decade ago back in 2013 and through their strong original branding and an innovative approach to marketing grew it from $0-$100m+ business. In this episode, we chat through what shifted the needle in scaling this brand, how early-stage founders should think about brand and Marketing in today’s world, and what Jess would do if she was starting it all again tomorrow. I love the part of this episode where we dive into just how easy it is to get stuck in old habits, even when that's the total opposite of what you should be focusing on. It’s easy over time to get set in your ways and rinse and repeat things. But as founders, we have got to remember: the only thing scarier than a new idea is an old one. It's this idea that guides a lot of Frank Body's decision-making. When it comes down to it, a lot of money makes people lazy and stupid. Your best campaigns will be done on a shoestring budget. Have fun with it! And if you haven’t downloaded our Grants doc yet - there are so many good ones ready to apply to this month! Like the Cartier Women’s Initiative where you can access up to $100,000 and the Fearless Fund x Tory Burch Grant where you can access up to $20,000. - 6 quick questions with Christina Kao, Founder of Le Mini Macaron (Part 2)This is Christina Kao for Female Startup Club. Hi hello!!! It’s Doone here, your host and hype girl popping into your ears on a beautiful day from Sydney Australia. If you’re new to the show - welcome - every week I’m chatting with some of the world’s most successful female founders and entrepreneurs to understand how they’ve built their businesses to 7 figures in annual recurring revenue and above; what’s working now and what’s not working. We also love to talk about the money piece and we LOVE to dig into the challenges and find the insights that come from going through those hard times. Today on the podcast, we’re learning from Christina Kao. Christina is the co-founder of Le Mini Macaron. A privately-funded, indie beauty brand that launched in 2015 with a focus on making gel manicures easy, affordable, and fun to DIY at home. The nail brand has since launched in over 30 markets, including retailers like Sephora, ULTA, Target, and Asos along with about a million other ones. This episode was so much fun and we hit on so many gems when it comes to setting yourself up for success with your supply chain, your retail partners - specifically how to approach your marketing when you launch into something like Target - and product development through the lens of social media. I loved hearing about what Christina would do differently if she were to start the brand today: she would really focus on content. There’s two ways you can do it. As a founder, to be the face of the brand makes a huge difference. Secondly, if you have the right content then people will start engaging with it, use other creators and influencers to do that - but how you brief them is important - what works for you product - what’s the hook? You have to figure out what is that visual for your brand and your product that is unique and recognisable. Social is your free platform. How are you going to be different and better than the competitors? We also love to talk about the money piece and we LOVE to dig into the challenges and find the insights that come from going through those hard times. Today on the podcast, we’re learning from Kayla Houlihan and we had the best chat about her company, Tribe Skincare. And Kayla also shares specifics around what she’s doing differently as she launches a sister company to Tribe. We dive into the blueprint for a successful Afterpay sales day and how they approach sales overall as a company, why she did switched off all her digital ad spend and the result of doing that, and a clever engagement idea for Instagram that you can launch today. Kayla also shared her biggest money mistake since starting the business, going right back to the early days when trademarking (what became) Tribe Skincare wasn't top of the priorities list. Receiving a cease & desist ended up being super costly, and a big money mistake. In hindsight, it would have been a lot cheaper to just pay to trademark the brand over completely changing everything. Keep your eyes peeled on our Instagram for a post diving a little more into trademarking options later this week! Hey guys, welcome back to the show - Today’s episode is sponsored by the DONUT, a 100% FREE newsletter committed to making the news more enjoyable, sign up today at thedonut.co/hype. And if you’re new here! Hi! I’m Doone, your host and Hype girl in business. Every week we learn from 7, 8 and 9-figure female founders to understand their blueprint in business when it comes to money, marketing and mistakes. Women like Meagan Pate, the Aussie founder shaking up scalp care. Meagan spent her teen years trying every home remedy for dandruff she could find, and would often cancel plans over her flakey scalp. Lightbulb moment!!! In 2020 she met her now co-founders and started working on launching STRAAND to market. And it’s been a bit of a whirlwind since then! This episode is packed with so many gems you are going to love this. I particularly loved diving into the subject of co-founders, and searching for the right people based on their skillset; what could make this business the best it could be? It's probably the most valuable resource you can have. You need to consider what’s right for you and right for your brand; go into it with as much understanding as possible of what that might mean. There’s nothing to lose if it’s a business relationship. When business isn’t going well it’s high pressure, it's something to be mindful of. You could have the best friendship in the world but that doesn’t necessarily translate to a work relationship. While I’ve got you here.
