Once was good
I started listening about a year after the show got started and it quickly became my favorite. I even signed up for elite and would listen to the back catalog more then a few times. At first they said there would be no commercials and that was great. Later they added a short commercial to help pay for everything. That was ok because everyone would completely understand needing that money to cover all expenses. It was when they completely sold out that I got irritated. Instead of a short commercial a couple of times they just gave the show over mostly to money. Out of a hour show you will get a good 15 to 20 minutes of commercials. They also went and added a boat load of commercials to their back episodes. What made me mad is when I hear them throw up a commercial for expanded perspectives elite. I (WAS) an elite member until I started to get one episode every month most of the time it was an episode every two months. I emailed them a few times and never heard anything back. For over a year I gave them the benefit of the doubt but I never could find where I was missing episodes and with no response I just had assume they weren’t doing what they advertised. I use to feel like these guys were awesome buddies I would hangout with but now I feel like I’m tuning into commercials with a bit of show in between on the free show and straight being lied to on the elite show. I absolutely hate to leave a one star review but I have to be honest after a few years of trying to find out what is going on. Also Kyle complains about people looking at their phones but then talks about chewing out his wife when watches SD TV. Quit whining hypocrite. Your not even the one watching it. Don’t lecture others on things when you act that way.

Kyle and Cam have such a great working relationship and have such great personalities for this podcast! I look forward to every episode release because they are a great de-stressor and perfectly timed for my daily commutes home from work. Excellent
I was looking for another paranormal themed podcast to listen to between episodes of Monsters Among Us. The search took me some time, since many of these podcasts are horribly narrated, the content isn’t very interesting, etc. Well, I’d heard about Expanded Perspectives and decided to try it out. Bingo! Excellent storytelling, perfect amount of intermingled conversation, funny at times, always interesting and great creep factor in a lot of these. Thanks for churning these episodes out each week. I’ll be binging until I catch up.

These fellas provide a good show, and are humble and funny. Maybe I’m a bit partial because I too am a Texas boy, but they seem like dudes I would run around with when I was a kid popping firecrackers, shooting BB guns, throwing rocks at stuff we shouldn’t be. These guys are amazing!
It doesn't matter where you fall on the paranormal spectrum; maybe you are a tinfoil hat wearing cellar dweller, maybe you are a know-it-all sceptic debunker, or somewhere in between, these two Texas childhood friends present a fun show on all things fortean. The three best things about the show? 1) The wide variety of topics presented each month as well as the measured approach the host present them. 2) The obvious rapport the two have from being friends for decades and 3) The fact that they are *both* master storytellers--they are just *interesting* to listen to. If you listen to one podcast, or if you have room to listen to one more, give Cam and Phil's Expanded Perspectives a listen.

Fun listen!
Overall I really enjoy this podcast, very interesting and just relaxed. Definitely plenty of humor too! While I’m not a believe in a lot of this stuff, it’s really interesting because I hope that even 1% of it all is true! Or at least has some crazy cool conspiracy, secret group, black op stuff behind it all. The only reason I am holding back a five star is because of the narration of the history or story being told. Every few sentences he stops and pauses right in the middle of a sentence, as if turning a page or something, and then finishes the sentence. It drives me crazy and I know it shouldn’t, but it’s one of my pet peeves. I used to do it too when I would give speeches or whatever and found that if I played with the font or broke paragraphs into smaller sentence “clumps” the words would flow much more smoothly. Just listen! It’s fun :)

Creepy, Cool, & Freakin' Fantastic -- LOVE these guys!
I have enjoyed Expanded Perspectives for about six years now. Having listened to my share of podcasts, I can tell you that this is my absolute favorite (and I have no doubt it always will be). I look forward to each new episode. Not only are Kyle and Cam, hilarious, intelligent, and authentic people, but they are both amazing storytellers. They cover a broad range of topics, within the paranormal realm, providing excellent research & insight into each one, as well as having a variety of guests on the show. They often discuss their entertaining antics and history as life-long friends, and other relatable topics such as sports and hunting. I can say, sincerely, that while there are other awesome shows out there, you would be doing yourself a serious disservice not to listen and give this duo a chance; Where else can you feel like you are hanging out with old friends, around a campfire, listening to creepy tales and enjoying some laughs? With the "BRUD"...that's where! Love, love, love both you guys and your incredible podcast. You rock! Stay safe and "creep it real" during the remainder of this crazy year of the 2020 "Coronapocalypse"! (As a reference, Halloween is in a couple of weeks.) X0

Best podcast ever!!!
Love this podcast! These guys are great! I’m not a person who subscribes to, or listens to podcasts, but this podcast is definitely the exception. I pay the highly reasonable $5 a month for the Elite membership and definitely have not looked back. I first got hooked on their free shows. If you like hearing stories of the weird and fantastical involving cryptids, aliens, monsters and mysterious beings, along with the occasional conspiracy theory and crazy story etc, then this is the podcast for you!!!! Never.....gets.....old! Love the humor and love the shenanigans! I’ve been a Elite member for well over a year now and could not be happier AND I plan on being a member for a long time to come! They keep it, for the most part, clean and fun. I also like how they tend to look at things objectively and not bother swallowing every “hook, line and sinker” out there. Do yourself a favor, if you like the afore mentioned topics, then think no more and take the dive! IMO you won’t regret it! :) Thanks Cam and Kyle for the hours, upon hours, upon hours, of first class entertainment!! 😁👍🏻

An Amazing Podcast
I’ve been a long time listener since spring of 2017. Cam and Kyle bring In all sorts of spooky, intriguing and down right funny listener tales and crypto zoology. I look forward to a new episode every week. It feels like I’m listening to the stories by the fire and Cam an Kyle are like my buddies. I also enjoy the off the cuff episodes as well which are filled with funny personal stories from the guys. Sorry for not eating and reviewing sooner. I thought I did, but I guess I’m mistaken. Thank you for all you do Guys, your podcast has helped me through some hard times. And also gave me some spooky stories to share with my buddies around the campfire. Keep up the great work! Stephen

Entertaining but...
Love this show, but your guys understanding of what the government has admitted is not quite true lol. The government did not say aliens exist. They merely admitted that that records of fighter pilots and such are real and that these pilots didn’t know what they were seeing and the objects were unidentified. That does not mean that there isn’t an explanation for what they were. I think you guys are taking the government’s admission as a little more than it really was.

Expanded Perspectives - Fantastic Podcast
I enjoy podcasts created by people with a passion for sharing ideas about the possibilities outside of the mundane. That being said, “Expanded Perspectives,” is one of the very best podcasts to which I subscribe. Cam & Kyle always present, (thoroughly researched), programs about topics that cause you to think outside the box of the ordinary. Just finished listening to the podcast on D.B. Entertaining, informative and funny!
I’ve been listening to show for about a year now. At first I wasn’t sure what to expect. I didn’t want it to be some far out there ideas that are mostly made up stories, pushed on everyone to make them believe they’re facts. I was pleasantly surprised to find the guys pretty neutral about the stories they share. They are the first to say, “is it real, I don’t know but...”. They look at the stories objectively and with a healthy dose of skepticism. They analyze things from both the scientific and metaphysical sides. Overall the show is like a fun night of sitting around a campfire sharing ghost stories. Anytime I need something interesting to do while I’m busy doing daily tasks I turn on one of their shows. It’s always interesting.

Fantastic
These guys are phenomenal. I've filtered through many similar shows, and theirs is by far the best. It's light and fun, it's critical and thoughtful, and they manage to cover so many excellent topics. I've put my friends on to them, and now they're also having their perspective expanded. In all honesty, when you realize that we don't truly understand the world like the back of our hand, it helps to remove the arrogance that pervades so much of our culture, and returns a sense of curiosity and wonder to what many have come to think of as a hum-drum world. You know they’re doing something right when my coworkers think Cam and Kyle are their friends and start chanting “Expanded Perspectives!” when I go to play EP on the shop speakers. My best friend and I jammed through all the free episodes that were currently available, and then when we ran out of those, we happily forked over the money for Expanded Perspectives Elite, and binge listened to every episode there. 100% worth it.

I’m currently stationed at Camp Lejeune in NC and I drive home to Maryland nearly every weekend which is about a 6 hour drive. Although it may seem long, I listen to this show endlessly going back and forth and the time flies by. I get so immersed into the subject matter of each episode that I don’t even realize how much time has gone by. Sometimes I wish I could drive around for just a little longer just to finish listening to the rest of the episode whenever I finish my long drive. I’ve been listening for so long now that I feel like I know Cam and Kyle and I love hearing about their personal lives as well as the paranormal content. Keep up the good work guys!

Good show
A couple years ago, while driving to burg eltz, my stomach (read: colon) started feeling a little off. No biggie - gas I'm sure. I must say, the roads to the castle are - brilliant. Curvy and elevation changes - at times running along an aquifer or a 15'-wide stream with little channels and dams branching out from it. Mountains and trees and perfectly lovely. So - anywho. I stop to buy a bottle of water. The gas station had a restroom but I thought "Meh - I'm okay". (that was foreshadowing) Now 10 minutes out from the castle NONE of the three towns I pass through has gas stations or even seemingly-open restaurants. Two clicks out from the castle my"stomach" is in a full-on "Screw-you" attack. I am in a full sweat. I can barely handle any bumps in the road, as each bump urges my body to...uh...give birth to something awful, in my pants. I'm running music off, AC on FULL andwindows down. I'm praying - literally praying God keeps me from going into what we'll call "Active Colonic Labor"........whole story has too many characters - wont paste

Merry Christmas
'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse; The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there; The children were nestled all snug in their beds; While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads; And mamma in her 'kerchief, and I in my cap, Had just settled our brains for a long winter's nap, When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter, I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter. Away to the window I flew like a flash, Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash. The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow, Gave a lustre of midday to objects below, When what to my wondering eyes did appear, But a miniature sleigh and eight tiny rein-deer, With a little old driver so lively and quick, I knew in a moment he must be St. Nick. More rapid than eagles his coursers they came, And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name: "Now, Dasher! now, Dancer! now Prancer and Vixen! On, Comet! on, Cupid! on, Donner and Blitzen! To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall! Now dash away! dash away! dash away all!" As leaves that before the wild hurricane fly, When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky; So up to the housetop the coursers they flew With the sleigh full of toys, and St. Nicholas too— And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof The prancing and pawing of each little hoof. As I drew in my head, and was turning around, Down the chimney St. Nicholas came with a bound. He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot, And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot; A bundle of toys he had flung on his back, And he looked like a pedler just opening his pack. His eyes—how they twinkled! his dimples, how merry! His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry! His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow, And the beard on his chin was as white as the snow; The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth, And the smoke, it encircled his head like a wreath; He had a broad face and a little round belly That shook when he laughed, like a bowl full of jelly. He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf, And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself; A wink of his eye and a twist of his head Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread; He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work, And filled all the stockings; then turned with a jerk, And laying his finger aside of his nose, And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose; He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle, And away they all flew like the down of a thistle. But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight— “Happy Christmas to all, and Epstein didn’t kill him self !”

Not good
I am a huge fan of this genre of podcasts, but unfortunately this one doesn’t hold up to the likes of MU, The Unexplained, or others. The hosts spend 90% of the time talking about nothing and are not very well researched.

Very entertaining
Good presentation in smooth even tones. Interesting topics. The guys can occasionally get a little middle-school-boy like with the penis/sex humor. On rare occasion they get carried away with it, and I delete the episode. In general, though, they can mostly keep themselves under control in their discussions of interesting and thought-provoking topics.

I found the show a few months ago and started at the very first episode and have been listening religiously ever since! I love all of the topics and the way you guys approach each subject. I’ve even gotten my wife hooked and we now lovingly refer to you as “The Boys” in our household lol can’t wait to make my way from Amarillo over to Weatherford so we can grab a few beers, put some lines in the water (talking to you Cam), and shoot the breeze about some cryptids and share my own experiences! Keep up the good work fellas!

Too bad...
They’ve lost their original concept and are too lazy or un-inspired enough to work at their podcast, but are unwilling to give up whatever income stream they managed to generate. OTC means old tired Cam. The bronc threw ya, guys. So what are you gonna do? Show up or sew up..... You’re cheating your Elite members. We pay for “additional shows” but aren’t getting the free ones. Shame.

Love these two
I read a lot of reviews mentioning that they need to focus more on the topic and that their show is declining because of that. I am here to disagree. I appreciate that these guys go with the flow and I enjoy hearing them talk about things on a personal level. They keep it fun and light. I feel they do a good job with keeping it balanced! Sure the scales might tip sometimes but I still appreciate everything they are putting out. Keep it up guys! You’re doing great!

5 stars but going downhill
First I love your shows and I’ve been listening since the beginning, then it became more commercialized (which is good for you ), then you started The Elite version and I do need to join that but it seems like the regular shows are getting further apart and the content is getting diluted, really, I love you guys and I’m sure this is a lot of work but you can do so much better! Sunken Spirits is a masterpiece! Sometimes a friend needs to tell you to get your head back in the game!

After many years of being a listener, I’m done
How about instead of the title “The Man Who Knew Too Much” you call it “The Man Who Raped And Molested Children Too Much”? Also, you focus on former president Bill Clinton’s relationship with Epstein. No mention of the current presidents relationship with Epstein??? “I’ve known Jeff for 15 years. Terrific guy, He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side.” These are words from the presidents mouth. Like another commenter said I’m jumping ship before it devolves further into right wing conspiracy but show ala Alex Jones. That’s exactly where you’re headed. The original spirit of the show is long gone. I’m deeply disappointed. I wrote a softer, kinder review previously but it has completely disappeared.

Disappointed in You
I’ve been listening for a couple years, but now I’m calling it quits. Doing an Epstein episode is worthy of a conspiracy/paranormal podcast, but talking about the Clintons the entire time and not mentioning Trump’s ties whatsoever is tipping your hand. Right wing propaganda has been popping up more and more on the podcast lately. So, I’m going to debark before this once great show completely enters the dark tunnel of alt-right conspiracies.

The worst kind of yellow journalism
Child sex trafficing is not a subject for light fauder. No family has been more investigated by the actual people in power then the Clintons and nothing true has ever turned up. If it had they would already be in jail. The first I ever heard of Epstien it was in connection to a woman sueing Trump for raping her when she was 13 at Epstien's party. Under great threat she dropped the suit. Now with the support of SDNY she has brought back her legal case. Barr's the one directly in charge of Epstien, No real dots to connect just ONE BIG DOT!

Yikes
I found this podcast in 2017 and I have to say I’ll be stepping away from it now. A lot of the earlier shows used to be amazing, with actual related subject matter of the Fortean, you can tell that Cam and Kyle don’t really have the passion or seem interested anymore. This is not a criticism of them having a life outside the podcast, but you can tell there’s little to no spark and too many of the episodes seem off topic. The off the cuff episodes were fun, but now stale, and it’s disappointing that when the guys originally asked for ideas and the fans responded, thinking C&K needed more Fortean topics to cover. I also dislike the fact that some of their political beliefs have bled through in recent episodes, such as the overwhelmingly pro-border patrol episode. There’s a humanitarian crises going on at the border but I guess it doesn’t matter that women and children are being kept in cages, among other horrible living conditions. Now there’s literal right-wing propaganda being supported in the recent Clinton episode. ‘Conspiracy theory’ or not, it’s a harmful dialogue to support because it supports fiction over literal fact.

What I love most about expanded perspective says that they don’t tell you that your view in the world is wrong, they try to open your mind up to the other views and share reality that is unbleached and let you decide. You might not like how they end the show, but they are wishing us well and no one should have a problem with that. It may seem simple, but this show has really help me open my viewpoint more and I appreciate that. This one and Monsters Among Us and Last Podcast on the Left are hands-down the three favorite shows I have found.

Good, used to be great
I’ve listening since episode #1, and I can tell you they aren’t as committed as they used to be. About a year or so ago they went on a nearly 4 week hiatus. They returned with message that the show wasn’t as fun as it used to be, that it felt like a job now. They went on that they would be releasing shows on a semi-consistent basis but not religiously like before, and the content would be geared more towards what they like. Since then the show has never been the same, I don’t blame the guys being busy with their lives and juggling this show etc. However if you’re going to ante up the ads and sponsors and plugging other podcasts, you need to repay the listeners with higher quality episodes. Honestly I’m tired of hearing them talk about bow hunting, MMA and the Dallas Stars...yawnnn

I really used to like this podcast. Then, one of them repeated a joke his father used to tell that involved “beating” a child. He obviously thought it was at least mildly amusing. Funny, because he seemed more concerned with the fact he dropped an F bomb. No one cares about that, but the content of the joke was the offensive part. Over them!

Big Fizzie & Cam ROCK!
I’m subscribed to about 20 podcasts, but there are about 6 that I can’t wait to listen to when the new ones come out, and Expanded Perspectives is definitely one of my faves. Even if I’m not particularly interested in the show subject, they always make it fun, educational and interesting. They are smart, funny, personable and really great at what they do. Even the ads are fun. I love the fact that they and their families have been best buds forever, and I never get tired of hearing about even the most mundane aspects of their lives. I’m not a sports, hunting, or superhero fan, but they somehow make those interesting and fun. I think my favorite thing about them is that they are genuinely interested in each other’s lives and never fail to crack each other up.

My Favorite Podcast
Expanded Perspectives is number one in my Podcast app. Cam and Kyle cover all my favorite topics: cryptozoology, ancient history, UFOs, ghosts, conspiracy theories, and a bit of true crime. The opening news segments are always a lot of fun. Both guys have a different style of storytelling for the main topic of the shows which adds a good variety to the episodes. Big Fizzy has a more formal written style of presentation and Uncle Ham has a more informal campfire-style. The level of skepticism and humor is just right for me. Unfortunately, in the past year the release schedule of both this show and the paid Elite show has become a lot more inconsistent. Cam and Kyle are both busy guys who don't do this full time which is completely understandable. I just hope they still enjoy making the show because I enjoy listening.

- A Deadly InventionOn this episode of Expanded Perspectives, the guys start the show off by talking about the ridiculous amount of pollen, ragweed, and other allergens blowing around in the north Texas air. Then, a person claims to have possibly spotted the Jersey Devil near the pine barrens of southern New Jersey. Next, a person writes in with a possible Sasquatch encounter that happened while out looking for gold in Humbolt County, California. After the break, Cam brings up some chilling tales of inventors who created something that led to their own demise. The phrase “fake news” has become almost meaningless as people use it to describe anything going on that they don’t like, but the original purpose was essential. There are websites out there that present conspiracy theories as actual facts when they’re not, and we’ve learned that they actually convince vast amounts of people sometimes. It’s pretty scary. Even though most conspiracy theories don’t hold water, some situations are disturbing enough to warrant another look or two. Over the years, scientists have been on the cutting edge, making pivotal discoveries that have changed the course of the world. It’s understandable that some people might not want those discoveries getting out into the world. All of this and more on this installment of Expanded Perspectives! - A Long and Treacherous JourneyOn this episode of Expanded Perspectives, Kyle starts the show off by talking about how he and his son Luke were involved in a recent Tornado in downtown Weatherford, Texas. Then, a woman in Sussex County, New Jersey, encounters something she believes is a Glimmer Man! The strange entity was stalking her in the nearby woods. Next, a person in Michigan says two large Sasquatch like creatures followed him and his daughters while out riding 4 wheelers. After the break, Kyle tells the horrific story of a group of settlers who faced insurmountable odds while crossing the Rocky Mountains. If it had worked out differently, the group of settlers that came to be known as the Donner Party would have slipped over the Sierra Nevada into California—and obscurity. But poor planning, a series of bad decisions, and early snowstorms caused 60 of the original pioneers to become stranded in the mountains during the winter of 1846. And as hypothermia set in and food ran out, many resorted to that greatest of human taboos: cannibalism. All of this and more on this installment of Expanded Perspectives! - Expanded Perspectives Feb 23 · 1h 16m Haunted Police StationsOn this episode of Expanded Perspectives, the guys start the show by talking about Kyle's new toy, the weather, and how both guys wish they had an indoor shooting range! Then, where did the missing missile end up that the US military shot at one of the four UAPs they recently shot down? Next, a Pennsylvania woman is traveling to North Carolina to visit a friend, While in Beaver, West Virginia she observes a 7-8 inch tall cloaked 'Glimmer Man' figure trying to cross the road. Then a person writes into the show about a possible Dog Man encounters in Michigan. After the break Cam brings up some Haunted Police Stations. Haunted house attractions are fairly common in the U.S., some people want to experience real ghosts and ghouls, especially around Halloween. The United States is full of historical homes with interesting (and spooky) stories attached to them, and it's not too hard to find "real" haunted houses if you know where to look. Anyone who is a fan of ghost hunting or paranormal investigation shows can tell you where you might run into some of the country's scariest real-life ghosts. Famous homes like the Whaley House, the Winchester Mystery House, and Lizzie Borden's Fall River home all have well-known reputations for scaring visitors out of their wits. We get it, abandoned hospitals, morgues, funeral homes, old sanitariums, and creepy old houses are often times haunted. But what about places you never think of like Police Stations? - Unseen AssistantOn this episode of Expanded Perspectives, the guys start the show off talking about the recent UFO activity over North America. Over the last couple of weeks, the US military has shot down four UAP's. What are they and where did they come from? Then, a person writes into the show about a possible time slip they experienced while working on an undisclosed military base. After the break, Kyle brings up some more strange tales of guardian angels or the Third Man! Some people who are in dire situations will and have experienced something paranormal. An Unseen Assistant! A presence, a guardian angel, a guide, perhaps a passed on loved one, or even a Christ-like figure. We know them now as the Third Man. But what is the Third Man? Over the years, various theories have been proposed to explain the Third Man. These attempts at understanding are themselves a record of man's changing conception of himself. They begin with the guardian angel, followed by the sensed presence and the shadow person. As clerics and then psychologists, and finally neurologists, theorized about the phenomenon, the trend has been a gradual reduction from the outside in, from God, to the mind, to the brain. The Third Man represents a real and potent force for survival, and the ability to access this power is a factor, perhaps the most important factor, in determining who will succeed against seemingly insurmountable odds, and who will not. And yet, in these stories in situations where success appears to be impossible, or death imminent something happens. There, amid the anxiety, fear, blood, sadness, exhaustion, torment, isolation, and fatigue, is an outstretched hand another existence, proffering a "transfusion of energy, encouragement, and instinctual wisdom from a seemingly external source." A presence appears, a Third Man who, "leads you out of the impossible." All of this and more on this installment of Expanded Perspectives! - The Secret Caves of "Doc" NossOn this episode of Expanded Perspectives, the boys start the show off talking about the recent ice/snowstorm, Cam's tooth issue, and more. Then, a Chicago woman at her father's apartment sees a Glimmer Man! Next, some police officers back in the summer of 1989 in Washington state, see a strange glowing orb with a creature walking inside! After the break Cam brings up the strange legend of the Victorio Peak Treasure and Milton Ernest "Doc" Noss. Victorio Peak, a craggy outcropping of rock barely five hundred feet tall, lies in the center of a dry desert lake known as the Hembrillo Basin. Beyond the Hembrillo Basin is a hundred-mile stretch of desert known as the Jornada del Muerto. Victorio Peak, located in northern Dona Ana County, now lies within the White Sands Missile Range in south-central New Mexico. However, long before Victorio Peak was encompassed by the government, a man by the name of Milton Ernest “Doc” Noss spent some time exploring Victorio Peak while on a deer hunt. Inside he found a hoard of treasure including coins, jewels, saddles, and priceless artifacts including a gold statue of the Virgin Mary. He also found some old letters, the most recent of which was dated 1880. This treasure was only the beginning. In a deeper cavern, Doc found what he thought was a stack of worthless iron bars. He estimated there were thousands of these bars, each weighing over forty pounds stacked against a wall. He was barely able to lift one, much less think of carrying it back to the surface. Later, the wealth in the cave would be calculated to be worth more than two billion dollars. But he would never obtain all of the treasure, it seems that the government swooped in and took it all. Others claim it was a giant hoax! All of this and more on this week's episode of Expanded Perspectives! Sponsors: Lumi Labs : Microdose is available nationwide. - Expanded Perspectives Jan 12 · 1h 8m Out of Place ObjectsOn this episode of Expanded Perspectives, the guys start the show off by talking about how Kyle is about to start traditional barebow 3D archery, some disc golf news, and why you shouldn't be afraid to try something new! Then, a retired police officer in Memphis, Tennessee has a bizarre run-in with a lizard-like creature while out driving one evening. Next, a family get-together near Monahans, Texas is interrupted by some extra-terrestrials! Next, After the break Cam and Kyle discuss some strange out of place objects that have been discovered. It can be hard to resist the allure of a mysterious object found in a context that doesn’t seem to make rational sense, suggesting that it’s proof of time travelers, lost civilizations, or alien visitors. You don’t have to be a conspiracy theorist or a cryptozoologist to marvel at a bizarre computer-like device that dates back to Ancient Greece, or a 2,000-year-old battery found outside Baghdad in the 1930s. So-called “Out of Place Artifacts,” also known as OOPArts, are often said to “baffle scientists,” and conspiracy theorists suggest that scientific efforts to identify their origin and purpose willfully ignore potentially controversial explanations outside the mainstream. After all, it’s true enough that science is constantly evolving, and we still don’t have the answers to many of life’s mysteries. All of this and more on this installment of Expanded Perspectives! - The Hollow Earth and MoreOn this episode of Expanded Perspectives, a listener writes into the show with a strange experience while out duck and deer hunting. Where they on some ancient Native American land? Then, a person believes they saw an upright canine creature in the woods one night while in a park. After the break, Cam brings up the strange theory surrounding the Hollow Earth. Modern science holds that the Earth is an unbroken series of layers, crusts, and liquid magma surrounding a dense, hot core made primarily of iron and nickel. But in the 17th century, some of the leading scientific minds of the time had a different theory—that the planet is actually hollow. This idea has proved incredibly durable. Even today, there is a small cadre of Hollow Earth believers who are fighting valiantly to validate their ideas through books, websites, meetings, and some extremely ambitious travel plans. Next, Cam taks about the Honey Island Swamp Monster. In case you didn't know, the Honey Island Swamp Monster is a humanoid cryptid that is reported to have been seen in and around Honey Island Swamp, Louisiana since 1963. It was first reported in 1963, when two hunters spotted this creature prowling the swamps. Its tracks indicate three-toed webbed feet. It is possible that a Bigfoot evolved webbed feet to better suit its swamp environment. At the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery (TMAG) in Hobart, Tasmania. Researchers there found the long-lost remains of the last known Tasmanian tiger, or thylacine ( Thylacinus cynocephalus). The remains have been missing for over 85 years. Then, a listener writes into the show with a strange tale of seeing a Bigfoot while out fishing in Nebraska back in 1959! A person believes that they saw a small Troll, Gnome or Duende crossed a street right in front of them while riding their bike. After the break, Cam brings up some strange stories involving Christmas! When people hear the words “ghosts” and “Christmas” in the same sentence, one is likely to immediately think of those of Charles Dickens’ beloved classic story A Christmas Carol, with Scrooge and his harrowing night of being visited by the ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future. Other than this, it does not seem that this season of joy and peace should have anything at all to do with ghosts and phantoms, with hauntings typically the furthest thing from people’s minds at this time of year. Then, a listener writes in with a strange experience they had while driving on a deserted road in July of 1976 in California. Where they abducted by alien beings? Next, a hunter up in the Bighorn Mountains of Wyoming, woke up one night to see a large hairy humanoid pillaging his cooler and throwing things around. After the break, Cam brings up some strange tales of glitches in time, overlapping time and time slips! Time slips or time glitches are a commonly reported phenomenon. Many believe time slips support the holographic universe theory. Synchronicity is another phenomenon that for many supports this holographic universe theory. Some believe Deja Vu is another phenomenon that indicates we live in a simulation. Time lapses, glitches and losses are often associated with the paranormal. This phenomenon is very broad and can manifest in many different ways, but it mainly manifests as objects that suddenly appear or disappear, as if spawned/respawned in a video game. This includes cars completely appearing from nowhere into traffic intersections, or people disappearing from a video out of nowhere. Fred Beck, one of the miners who fought off an attack by a group of Bigfoot in the Ape Canyon incident of 1924 held fast to the view that the creatures he saw were not flesh and blood but immaterial beings which had briefly manifested in the material world of human perceptions. He categorized them as inter-dimensional beings or unconscious manifestations, similar in creation to a 'Tulpa' or thought-form. All of this and more on this installment of Expanded Perspectives! Then, a duck hunter writes in with a terrifying encounter with a set of eyes in the woods. After the break, Kyle brings up the Aquatic Ape Theory. Much more than other primates, man has several features that are seen more often in aquatic than terrestrial mammals: nakedness, thick subcutaneous fat-layer, stretched hindlimbs, voluntary respiration, dilute urine etc. The Aquatic Ape Theory states that our ancestors once spent a significant part of their life in water. Presumably, early apes were plant and fruit eaters in tropical forests. Early hominids also ate aquatic food; at first mainly weeds and tubers, later sea shore animals, especially shellfish. With the Pleistocene cooling, our ancestors returned to land and became bipedal omnivores and scavengers and later hunters of coastal and riverside animals.
